- 0:39Speaker 1: M s s ssssis to be training for the snows
- 1:16Speaker 1: because we're hit SnO, I will.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Take your farm because we're hit it, because we're hitting when,
- 1:29Speaker 2: because we're headed.
- 1:30Speaker 3: When can't rid scow to you first cheap? Just maybe
- 2:04Speaker 3: it won't? God, go ahead, hear me. No, I'm not
- 2:10Speaker 3: turning your camera on. Why that's How about this that's
- 2:12Speaker 3: not appropriate? How about this? That's much better? Yeah? Did
- 2:17Speaker 3: you like my intro music this morning? Ah? Yeah, that
- 2:20Speaker 3: was what? What the heck was that? Sorry?
- 2:23Speaker 4: I oh my gosh, we got stuck in the seventies
- 2:26Speaker 4: go go Brady Bunch kind of thing happening.
- 2:29Speaker 3: I shunning. I want to say, I'm sorry we're so late.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I was stuck in the paving traffic on three oh
- 2:41Speaker 3: two yep, just just between uh Eastbury Tire and uh
- 2:48Speaker 3: up Loginous. Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And I was stuck in my car waiting in the
- 2:54Speaker 4: parking lot here for twenty minutes.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yep, up everywhere. Uh yeah. Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Well it's important to wait till the fall, just before
- 3:09Speaker 4: the snow to fix the roads.
- 3:13Speaker 3: We know that.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Yeah, all summer we got to hit the holes and
- 3:16Speaker 4: all that stuff, and then in the fall before we
- 3:19Speaker 4: start sliding, we get the roads.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Fixed so that we can destroy them with the plows. Yes, yes,
- 3:26Speaker 3: so it's a good It's a good deal, dude. It's
- 3:29Speaker 3: a good deal because there's people that's like, well, when
- 3:33Speaker 3: is the right time.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I mean, it's in the spring, after the pliles have
- 3:38Speaker 4: ruined it, so that the rest of the spring and
- 3:40Speaker 4: summer and fall we can drive without breaking the axles
- 3:43Speaker 4: on our course, just saying let's move on, listen, let's
- 3:52Speaker 4: I got.
- 3:53Speaker 3: A lot of text messages yesterday. We got some serious stuff.
- 3:57Speaker 3: We got to talk about it. Yeah, and I got
- 4:00Speaker 3: messages last night. I got more messages this morning asking
- 4:08Speaker 3: everything from what are you going to talk about? To
- 4:14Speaker 3: are you even going to be on the air this morning? Right, So,
- 4:22Speaker 3: let's just say I could turn these these mics on
- 4:27Speaker 3: and sit and talk with you about so much. I
- 4:34Speaker 3: could literally go for three hours. Oh yeah, we could
- 4:38Speaker 3: do three hours just to just to cover yesterday. You
- 4:43Speaker 3: know what I mean.
- 4:43Speaker 4: There's so much happening, There's so much going on that
- 4:46Speaker 4: we could we could talk for a long time. However,
- 4:51Speaker 4: that's not what we're about, and we're not about prolonging things.
- 4:57Speaker 4: But we do have a few things we should say
- 5:00Speaker 4: before we have fun.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah. I want to lead off with first and foremost
- 5:07Speaker 3: this morning, thank you for tuning in, Thank you for
- 5:13Speaker 3: joining us this morning. No matter who you are, where
- 5:16Speaker 3: you are. We've got friends listening in North Carolina. We've
- 5:22Speaker 3: got a friend out in Los Angeles that's tuned in
- 5:27Speaker 3: this morning. I got a couple of friends in Tennessee
- 5:30Speaker 3: that listen every day. So twenty four years ago today,
- 5:37Speaker 3: two thousand and one, it was a morning that was
- 5:43Speaker 3: almost identical to this morning. Yes, weatherwise.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I mean I was living in Walden and I was
- 5:51Speaker 4: sitting out on my porch. We had a closed in
- 5:54Speaker 4: poets with a TV and we were sitting out there
- 5:56Speaker 4: having coffee in the morning watching TV.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yeah uh. And I was doing a remote broadcast at
- 6:08Speaker 3: Duncan Donuts, which is no longer there right down the
- 6:11Speaker 3: road here, yeah, now it's a parking lot, and was
- 6:17Speaker 3: broadcasting live from from Duncan Donuts for Froggy one hundred
- 6:21Speaker 3: point nine in the morning. And they had if every
- 6:25Speaker 3: if anyone remembers that Duncan Donuts, they had a TV
- 6:28Speaker 3: that was mounted up on the up on the high
- 6:33Speaker 3: part of the wall of the ceiling, and you know,
- 6:38Speaker 3: there I am talking about the various Duncan Donuts promotions
- 6:43Speaker 3: and what was going on and so on and so forth,
- 6:45Speaker 3: live on the air with the TV in the background
- 6:50Speaker 3: and seeing what I was seeing, and everyone that was
- 6:54Speaker 3: in Duncan Donuts was just staring at the at the
- 6:56Speaker 3: TV and was watching Well Nations stop live coverage. Everybody
- 7:03Speaker 3: just stopped and just watched the TV and and and.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yeah, and was was it was. It was something we
- 7:12Speaker 4: didn't want to watch, but we were watching it. Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 4: And it was beyond comprehension.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I'll never forget, you know, the first plane in the
- 7:24Speaker 3: in the first tower and then the second one seeing that,
- 7:30Speaker 3: and you saw it comes, you saw it coming live
- 7:32Speaker 3: on TV. Yeah, and then when it hit you know,
- 7:38Speaker 3: here I am live on the air trying to talk
- 7:41Speaker 3: about Donuts Donuts, and my connection back to Froggy was terminated.
- 7:51Speaker 3: And my program director, Jim Severn's, who was running the controls,
- 8:01Speaker 3: basically hung up on me. Yeah, disconnected and called my
- 8:05Speaker 3: cell phone and said you need to come back to
- 8:09Speaker 3: the studio right away. And I was wow, Yeah, I
- 8:13Speaker 3: just and it's a day we should never forget, Nope now,
- 8:22Speaker 3: and we shouldn't just think about the world Trade Center.
- 8:25Speaker 3: We should think about the other two flights that crashed
- 8:29Speaker 3: into the Pentagon and in the woods there in Pennsylvania,
- 8:34Speaker 3: and the heroes that were on board those jets.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Right, And that's the thing is people people say, oh
- 8:40Speaker 4: my god, I can't believe, I can't believe. We have
- 8:42Speaker 4: to remember that it's not just the people that were hit,
- 8:46Speaker 4: and they're families that were affected, but first responders who
- 8:51Speaker 4: did what they had to do and now years later
- 8:54Speaker 4: are suffering from illnesses and things because of the things
- 8:58Speaker 4: they breathed in. So it affected our nation in more
- 9:03Speaker 4: than just up the towers went down or up people
- 9:07Speaker 4: died or up people's families are said, but first responders
- 9:10Speaker 4: and people that were just in the area that weren't
- 9:13Speaker 4: responders that got affected. So it was just a very
- 9:16Speaker 4: very dark day in our nation.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Everyone was rattled. Do you remember when the FAA made
- 9:22Speaker 3: the announcement, all planes are grounded the whole country. Yep,
- 9:27Speaker 3: no one's going up, no one's going down. No. Well,
- 9:30Speaker 3: but our nation stopped everything.
- 9:33Speaker 4: I mean even people that were working in little hillbilly
- 9:36Speaker 4: towns and stuff. Everybody was fixed to the TV and
- 9:39Speaker 4: could not move forward because they it wasn't only that
- 9:44Speaker 4: moment that we saw, but it was everything that transpired
- 9:48Speaker 4: for days afterwards.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Two seven and ninety two people died in the World
- 9:54Speaker 3: Trade Center attacks, one hundred and eighty four innocent people
- 9:56Speaker 3: died in the Pentagon attack, including those on the plane,
- 10:00Speaker 3: and forty died in the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.
- 10:05Speaker 3: There are memorials and tributes and events happening, uh leathrate
- 10:14Speaker 3: wreath laying events and live coverage everywhere.
- 10:18Speaker 4: And what's unfortunately, there are some people in power that
- 10:23Speaker 4: are using that for photo ops instead of using it
- 10:27Speaker 4: for the genuine purpose.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Of what it should be used for.
- 10:32Speaker 4: You know, we don't want to we don't want to
- 10:34Speaker 4: lay reads and do all this stuff and dwell on
- 10:36Speaker 4: it all day, because our day moves on now and
- 10:39Speaker 4: we look forward, not backwards. We learn from behind and
- 10:43Speaker 4: use that to move forward positively. But and you know,
- 10:47Speaker 4: I don't like that word. But but unfortunately some people
- 10:52Speaker 4: are using it for photo ops yep, which is very disappointing.
- 10:59Speaker 4: And yet there's there's more things that we have to
- 11:02Speaker 4: cover before we have fun.
- 11:06Speaker 3: This is for for me, this is I'm feeling, just
- 11:13Speaker 3: like so many others, quite heavy this morning.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you we spoke last night on the phone and
- 11:20Speaker 4: you weren't sure how you were feeling or how you
- 11:23Speaker 4: were going to transport that into today's show, because there's
- 11:28Speaker 4: some heavy things that have happened in the last few
- 11:30Speaker 4: days that are it's hard to move forward.
- 11:39Speaker 3: And listen. Anyone who knows me, my friends, especially you.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I see that Paul is watching listening this morning, Crystal.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Anyone who really knows me, very person personally knows that.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I mean, Rylyn will tell you beyond any one that
- 12:00Speaker 3: I process stuff just like at a snail's pace. I
- 12:05Speaker 3: absorb stuff, and AH think and often overthink, but I
- 12:14Speaker 3: let I let things get into my soul and and
- 12:22Speaker 3: and and and many many say that there's not really
- 12:26Speaker 3: anything that's necessarily uh you know, wrong with that. That's
- 12:30Speaker 3: it's good to to let. It's good to be human,
- 12:35Speaker 3: it's good to be right alive, and it's good to
- 12:38Speaker 3: process and understand what's happening and have an opinion about it.
- 12:43Speaker 3: But it's not good to give it.
- 12:45Speaker 4: A lot of real estate in your brain for long
- 12:48Speaker 4: periods of time.
- 12:49Speaker 3: I think one of the best and you say this
- 12:57Speaker 3: to me all the time. What you just said, right
- 13:01Speaker 3: but I think that like the best example of that is,
- 13:06Speaker 3: honestly is having a little girl who is so happy
- 13:10Speaker 3: and so alive and so just curious, curious and happy
- 13:21Speaker 3: and just wanting to do things. And I'm so blessed
- 13:26Speaker 3: to have her as a positive distraction in my life.
- 13:31Speaker 3: She is so happy about her new bicycle, and I
- 13:36Speaker 3: need to be reminded that for me, that's the most
- 13:40Speaker 3: important thing right now. She is she is off to
- 13:44Speaker 3: the Tunbridge World's Fair today with her mom and Sherilyn
- 13:52Speaker 3: and Lily are just going to have the greatest time
- 13:55Speaker 3: at the fair today, right and.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And that and the thing is what we do is
- 14:01Speaker 4: we look at you know, like I was talking to
- 14:04Speaker 4: my brother this morning and he was looking at the
- 14:06Speaker 4: events that have been happening, and we were talking about it,
- 14:12Speaker 4: and I could see that it could have been a
- 14:14Speaker 4: conversation that could have gone on for hours, and instead
- 14:18Speaker 4: I was like, Okay, we talked about it, we set
- 14:21Speaker 4: our feelings about it. Now let's put it in its
- 14:24Speaker 4: place and let's move forward and not fear our life
- 14:28Speaker 4: because of those things, I think it's important to embrace
- 14:32Speaker 4: what's ahead of us.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Right two, it's important for us to learn to compartmentalize, yes,
- 14:41Speaker 3: and continue to live life right and do something that
- 14:50Speaker 3: makes us happy. Yes, and have perspective on the gifts
- 14:58Speaker 3: that we have right in front of us, how blessed
- 15:01Speaker 3: we are, how lucky we are to be able to
- 15:03Speaker 3: have those in our lives that we have and feel
- 15:07Speaker 3: gratitude right.
- 15:09Speaker 4: And we can choose how we want to deal in
- 15:12Speaker 4: process with positive and negative things. We choose that those
- 15:17Speaker 4: positive and negative things don't define us if we choose
- 15:21Speaker 4: to let that define us, if we choose to see
- 15:23Speaker 4: something that happen and therefore we hate people that do that,
- 15:27Speaker 4: and so we fight with them and argue, and then
- 15:29Speaker 4: they fight back, and this and that we're choosing to
- 15:32Speaker 4: engage in a negative situation instead of saying, this happened.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I'm disgusted. I want to feel it, I want to
- 15:40Speaker 4: own it, and then I need to move forward. That's
- 15:43Speaker 4: the way it should be. For example, the two other
- 15:47Speaker 4: things that we need to quickly address.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Yes, I you know, I I love I love shirts.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I have a collect of shirts. I have you you
- 16:02Speaker 3: want to get like the Elton John of shirts. I
- 16:05Speaker 3: just I know you have bins and bins.
- 16:09Speaker 4: And and yeah, and not our lind told me some
- 16:12Speaker 4: of those bins are just taking up so much space.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Not okay, don't don't, don't get me going with is
- 16:19Speaker 3: that what she said? You spent some time with her.
- 16:21Speaker 4: You know, we didn't talk about your bins yesterday. Far
- 16:24Speaker 4: be it for me to tell you otherwise. But you
- 16:27Speaker 4: were not a topic yesterday while we were out all day.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Chaoylyn and I, what are you not? We didn't even
- 16:33Speaker 3: we didn't.
- 16:34Speaker 4: The only thing we said about you is that you're
- 16:36Speaker 4: a jackass, right, okay? Other than that, I mean, we
- 16:41Speaker 4: talked about our spouses, but it was nothing positive that
- 16:44Speaker 4: that I cared to repeat, all right, But as far
- 16:48Speaker 4: as your T shirts and stuff, we talked about that
- 16:51Speaker 4: when we came for dinner.
- 16:52Speaker 3: All Right, the of all the shirts that I have
- 17:06Speaker 3: in my closet, and I opened up my closet this morning,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I'm like, what shirt do I wear? It's just like
- 17:14Speaker 3: it's nine to eleven. I just I don't. And this
- 17:24Speaker 3: was the one, yeah, that I kept coming back to,
- 17:29Speaker 3: not just because it's it's a reminder that we need
- 17:33Speaker 3: to be colorful and live and vibrant and push on
- 17:39Speaker 3: with life. And I mean, of course I could have
- 17:42Speaker 3: worn you know, something grim and dark or whatever. But oh,
- 17:46Speaker 3: like me, you are a little boring today. But this
- 17:51Speaker 3: is just gonna be honest.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I didn't dress for a day for a specific day, Okay,
- 17:57Speaker 4: nine to eleven, Like I said, a very dark day
- 18:01Speaker 4: in our history, but it's behind sure, and hopefully our
- 18:06Speaker 4: nation and our leaders have learned. And I say hopefully
- 18:11Speaker 4: because we got the wrong leaders who don't know how
- 18:13Speaker 4: to learn. But hopefully there's learning to protect our nation
- 18:17Speaker 4: going forward. But I can't dwell in the darkness of
- 18:21Speaker 4: it when there's so much light ahead.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Sure, I just can't. I got you. And then you know,
- 18:31Speaker 3: I was just thinking about yesterday and being wellness Wednesday
- 18:38Speaker 3: over on Summer Street and all the good things they're
- 18:40Speaker 3: doing for people over there to get over there and
- 18:43Speaker 3: relax and invest time and honestly self, love to yourself.
- 18:51Speaker 3: And I was like, you know, Washington County Mental Health, frankly,
- 18:58Speaker 3: whether they're a sponsor of the airedow podcast or not,
- 19:06Speaker 3: what they do for thousands of ramonors every day who,
- 19:10Speaker 3: for whatever reason all walks of life are feeling stress, anxiety,
- 19:16Speaker 3: whatever it may be, and what they do, And I'm like,
- 19:21Speaker 3: that's my shirt today, right, because isn't is mental health
- 19:25Speaker 3: not the biggest umbrella of everything over just above nine
- 19:31Speaker 3: to eleven, absolutely above Charlie, above everything. Yeah, absolutely mental
- 19:37Speaker 3: health is important. But you know, I'm gonna take the
- 19:41Speaker 3: flip side to that because Washington County. Don't get me wrong,
- 19:43Speaker 3: Jed and I worked with Washington County for many years,
- 19:46Speaker 3: and I have a lot of respect.
- 19:48Speaker 4: For the work that they do. But there are other
- 19:52Speaker 4: occupations out that do the.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Same thing, damn straight.
- 19:57Speaker 4: As Washington County that people don't even pay it attention to.
- 20:00Speaker 4: And I'll give you an example, and I'm not going
- 20:02Speaker 4: to pick any specific one because I don't want to
- 20:04Speaker 4: be on.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Soapbox all day.
- 20:06Speaker 4: But beauty salons that when somebody goes in they're feeling,
- 20:12Speaker 4: oh my haird looks like crap, or I look like
- 20:15Speaker 4: this or whatever, and they go in there, the stylists
- 20:19Speaker 4: listen to them, they let them vent. The people leave
- 20:22Speaker 4: feeling good about themselves because they did something for themselves.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Even bartenders that when they're serving drinks, they listen to
- 20:30Speaker 4: people's stories and they don't give advice, they just listen
- 20:34Speaker 4: and they let people vent. You know, clothing places where
- 20:38Speaker 4: people go in and they want to try on something
- 20:41Speaker 4: new and it makes them feel good. So there's a
- 20:43Speaker 4: lot of different places that you can go, even with
- 20:46Speaker 4: a flea market, that you can go into and buy
- 20:50Speaker 4: something that you never in a million years needed, but
- 20:53Speaker 4: you're like, that's super cool, and you bring it home
- 20:56Speaker 4: and you're like, where the hell am I going to
- 20:57Speaker 4: put it because you don't even have a spot for it.
- 20:59Speaker 4: But then you put it someplace and you look at
- 21:03Speaker 4: and you say, guess what I got that?
- 21:05Speaker 3: And that made me feel happy.
- 21:07Speaker 4: So on top of places like Washington County Mental Health
- 21:10Speaker 4: that worked very specifically with people who have very specific needs,
- 21:15Speaker 4: we also have a lot of people out there that
- 21:17Speaker 4: are doing their jobs of passion to help other people.
- 21:21Speaker 4: Is it to make money too, of course, but it's
- 21:24Speaker 4: to help other people feel good too. So you don't
- 21:28Speaker 4: need to be involved with one organization. Go get your haircut,
- 21:31Speaker 4: get a massage, go buy a new outfit, do some
- 21:35Speaker 4: window shopping with a friend you haven't seen in a while.
- 21:38Speaker 4: There's a lot of ways to release stress. Sherylyn and
- 21:41Speaker 4: I yesterday we went out. We went to Costco. We
- 21:45Speaker 4: spent the day walking around in Costco and picking things out,
- 21:49Speaker 4: and we had a blast and we were able to
- 21:52Speaker 4: reconnect therefter not seeing each other for a few weeks,
- 21:55Speaker 4: and it was just a nice quality time. So sometimes
- 21:59Speaker 4: it's just little things like that that you can do
- 22:03Speaker 4: to make yourself feel better while knowing that all this
- 22:07Speaker 4: crap is happening right behind you, and you acknowledge that
- 22:12Speaker 4: crap and you feel that crap. But then you gotta
- 22:15Speaker 4: find ways to reinvent yourself, not only through Washington County,
- 22:20Speaker 4: but through beauty salons and stopping at a bar for
- 22:23Speaker 4: a beer and talking to somebody, or buying some clothes
- 22:27Speaker 4: or going for a walk. You know, Tracy told me
- 22:30Speaker 4: about this park up in Barrytown that has trails and stuff.
- 22:35Speaker 4: I knew nothing about it, and I've been here twenty
- 22:38Speaker 4: five years Millstone, Okay, So now I want to take
- 22:42Speaker 4: my dog there and just do the trails and stuff
- 22:45Speaker 4: so that I have time to process in my head
- 22:47Speaker 4: shit and put it in its proper places before I
- 22:50Speaker 4: go home, and my dog gets exercised in the process.
- 22:54Speaker 4: So there's a lot of things that we can do
- 22:56Speaker 4: for ourselves for self love that people are not taking
- 23:01Speaker 4: advantage of.
- 23:02Speaker 3: That's my soap up.
- 23:06Speaker 4: And how we feel is how we choose to feel,
- 23:08Speaker 4: not how somebody made us feel. Yeah, we choose it.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Like Charlie, what happened to Charlie? You know, it's distressing.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I last night, I was yesterday afternoon. I was in
- 23:29Speaker 3: the car at two thirty and heard the breaking news
- 23:33Speaker 3: and followed the story very carefully as it unfolded over
- 23:39Speaker 3: the course of the rest of the afternoon and into
- 23:41Speaker 3: the evening and even into the late evening last night,
- 23:46Speaker 3: and my phone was on fire. What I was seeing,
- 23:51Speaker 3: what I was hearing. I mean, every single podcast in
- 23:55Speaker 3: the world is talking about this this morning, everything, every
- 23:59Speaker 3: newsday and see yeah, every radio station, every talk show
- 24:04Speaker 3: everywhere around the world is talking about this, and there's
- 24:07Speaker 3: a lot of stuff to be said. You and I
- 24:10Speaker 3: kind of agreed last night that we would address this,
- 24:14Speaker 3: that we would talk about it a little bit, but
- 24:16Speaker 3: also move on and be gesque, and she spotted yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 3: just you know.
- 24:26Speaker 4: The only thing I have to say about Charlie is
- 24:29Speaker 4: I don't agree with with what his opinions were, but
- 24:33Speaker 4: the man always engaged in you have an opposite opinion,
- 24:38Speaker 4: let's talk about it.
- 24:40Speaker 3: He wasn't a soapbox.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Preacher all the time, and he invited other opinions and
- 24:47Speaker 4: other ideas to debate and discuss. Which is healthy dialogue
- 24:52Speaker 4: and whether you're extreme left, your middle or extreme right. Okay,
- 24:58Speaker 4: your choice to be or think the way you choose
- 25:02Speaker 4: to be or the way you think the way you
- 25:04Speaker 4: choose should not be taken away from you and shorten
- 25:09Speaker 4: your life. And although I don't agree with some of
- 25:13Speaker 4: the things that he said and thought of, that didn't
- 25:17Speaker 4: justify or warrant his life being taken.
- 25:20Speaker 3: But Charlie wouldn't want you to agree.
- 25:23Speaker 4: With He wanted the healthy debates. But the bottom line
- 25:30Speaker 4: is shame on anyone who thinks that their opinion is
- 25:34Speaker 4: so much stronger than someone else is that they can
- 25:37Speaker 4: take you out. Okay, you don't have that right. We
- 25:43Speaker 4: were talking about this early this morning. People are getting
- 25:48Speaker 4: numb to what's happening in this world. It's becoming just
- 25:55Speaker 4: every day and we're getting numb to it and just
- 25:59Speaker 4: accepting it. And that's what happens with dictatorship is after
- 26:03Speaker 4: a while, you say to somebody in a country that's
- 26:05Speaker 4: got a dictatorship, how do you feel about it's the
- 26:08Speaker 4: way it is.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I live here, I love my.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Country, and it just happens to be under dictatorship and
- 26:14Speaker 4: certain rules and we just deal with it. Our country
- 26:17Speaker 4: is becoming numb and desensitized to the things that are
- 26:22Speaker 4: happening around us, and instead of stepping up, we're just saying, well,
- 26:28Speaker 4: that's the way it is now. Okay, Charlie was killed
- 26:31Speaker 4: for his opinions and for who he was and somebody
- 26:34Speaker 4: in a gree that's not how it is, that's not
- 26:36Speaker 4: how it should be. How it should be is I
- 26:40Speaker 4: don't like that person because of their opinions. Great, you're
- 26:44Speaker 4: entitled to that. Stop there.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't get to go further. And if you
- 26:49Speaker 3: you know, it's the the old thing is you know,
- 26:54Speaker 3: in my god, my dad used to tell me this
- 26:57Speaker 3: all the time. If you don't like something or someone
- 27:02Speaker 3: or something that you're hearing, walk away, shut the shut
- 27:07Speaker 3: the change to the channel, don't engage, don't engage.
- 27:14Speaker 4: And you and I have said that on the show
- 27:16Speaker 4: where we've said too, I've looked at the camera and
- 27:19Speaker 4: I've said, if you're not enjoying what we're saying, shut
- 27:22Speaker 4: it off.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, that you have the power to stop it
- 27:28Speaker 3: in your own world. Sure, if you don't.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Have the power to take someone's life to stop it,
- 27:34Speaker 4: because what did you do? They shot this man to
- 27:37Speaker 4: shut him up, and now look at the nation. Now
- 27:39Speaker 4: we're talking about him even more.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I know.
- 27:41Speaker 4: So you didn't shut anything up. You've just opened up
- 27:44Speaker 4: another can of wine.
- 27:46Speaker 3: This faceless coward, by the way, is still at large.
- 27:53Speaker 4: We you could see him at the top of the
- 27:55Speaker 4: building during the event. And shame on the media. Shame
- 28:02Speaker 4: on the media. And I am a huge, huge believer
- 28:05Speaker 4: in free press. Huge nobody should shut the media down,
- 28:09Speaker 4: but shame on them for showing such a close up
- 28:12Speaker 4: graphic thing to the public of what actually happened. Because
- 28:17Speaker 4: that close up on YouTube and everywhere else you see
- 28:22Speaker 4: it once you cannousee it.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I believe me.
- 28:25Speaker 4: And hearing that this happened to him is one thing.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But when I saw it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: It hardened me. Okay, it made me cold. You and
- 28:36Speaker 3: I are totally aligned. When I heard about it, heard
- 28:41Speaker 3: about it, heard about it, and then a couple hours
- 28:44Speaker 3: later saw the video. The second I saw it, I
- 28:49Speaker 3: was like, there's there's no way he's going to survive
- 28:53Speaker 3: that no, And.
- 28:54Speaker 4: The only thing I said was I can't believe I
- 28:56Speaker 4: watched that same here you know with everything that I
- 29:00Speaker 4: could watch that's good in my life.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I can't believe I had to actually watch that, but
- 29:04Speaker 3: it did. It hardened me too.
- 29:07Speaker 4: And people are saying, well, that's what we're that's that's
- 29:10Speaker 4: what we're in now. No, that's not what we should
- 29:13Speaker 4: be saying. What we should be saying is stop, okay, stop.
- 29:20Speaker 4: And how amazing that our president made such a big
- 29:24Speaker 4: announcement about that because it's one of his kind of guys.
- 29:29Speaker 4: But other people that have been shut up for being
- 29:32Speaker 4: on the opposite side is not an issue or not
- 29:36Speaker 4: a topic. And that's the problem is people are taking
- 29:39Speaker 4: what works and what doesn't. None of it works.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Stacy just wrote, I don't always agree with you guys,
- 29:46Speaker 3: but I still watch and listen and wouldn't miss an episode.
- 29:50Speaker 3: It's all about respecting the opinions of others. That is
- 29:53Speaker 3: what we have lost in this country and we better
- 29:56Speaker 3: damn well find it and find it fast. Find it fast.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Stephen Donahue, thunder Road one of the best, if not
- 30:07Speaker 3: the best drivers up at thunder Road in your opinion.
- 30:11Speaker 4: In my opinion, it's always important to say that because
- 30:15Speaker 4: people will be like, wow, now you just made a
- 30:17Speaker 4: blanket set.
- 30:18Speaker 3: I know he shut my phone off here making noise.
- 30:25Speaker 3: He wrote something last night on his Facebook page that
- 30:32Speaker 3: was so short and brief, three sentences, and I was like,
- 30:43Speaker 3: that's it right there, three sentences and he nailed it,
- 30:49Speaker 3: and I'm going to read it this morning. It says again,
- 30:53Speaker 3: this is from Stephen Donahue, who I haven't spoken with
- 30:56Speaker 3: this morning. I didn't tell him I was going to
- 30:58Speaker 3: read this on the air. I don't think you'd have
- 30:59Speaker 3: a problem with it, but he said, I do not
- 31:03Speaker 3: like to talk politics with people, but this is so
- 31:08Speaker 3: unbelievably sad. He sparked discussion between people which can help
- 31:14Speaker 3: our country. That's the second sentence, and the final sentence
- 31:20Speaker 3: is disagreements should never result in tragedy like this sums
- 31:29Speaker 3: it up. And I'm like, that sums it up. Man.
- 31:32Speaker 3: It's like I read last night paragraphs and paragraphs of
- 31:37Speaker 3: stuff and stuff from friends and I'm like, that's it
- 31:44Speaker 3: right there.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Well that and how many child, how many times
- 31:49Speaker 4: have we talked about you have the right to your opinion,
- 31:52Speaker 4: but you do not have the right to tell me
- 31:55Speaker 4: how to think. Yeah, okay, you can't tell me. I
- 31:59Speaker 4: can't who I love you can't tell me. I can't
- 32:03Speaker 4: I can't dislike my president. You can't tell me how
- 32:07Speaker 4: I feel. You can tell me how you feel. And
- 32:10Speaker 4: I love debating and getting into discussions about that stuff
- 32:14Speaker 4: with people, and I hear them when they say things
- 32:18Speaker 4: I don't agree with, and sometimes I'm like, you know what,
- 32:20Speaker 4: thank you for saying that, because I didn't think of
- 32:22Speaker 4: it that way. But you do not have the right
- 32:27Speaker 4: to incite violence right on me or anyone else. And
- 32:35Speaker 4: you definitely don't have the right to take somebody's life
- 32:38Speaker 4: over an opinion. You know, somebody kills my husband, or
- 32:42Speaker 4: somebody kills one of my kids, I'm going to have
- 32:45Speaker 4: a different discussion about how I want to handle that.
- 32:48Speaker 4: But somebody tells me I hate you or I love
- 32:53Speaker 4: this person, I'm not going to say, yep, well, boom done.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I'm going to say you're entitled to your opinion.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I had a friend say to me one time, a
- 33:01Speaker 3: long time ago, something I'll never forget. It was something
- 33:06Speaker 3: to the effect of, if that person were run over
- 33:12Speaker 3: by a bus, I wouldn't shed a tear, right, And
- 33:21Speaker 3: then they continued and said, but I wouldn't want to
- 33:27Speaker 3: be the bus driver, right, see. I don't take that view.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I don't.
- 33:34Speaker 4: I don't take the view of if somebody were to
- 33:37Speaker 4: be hurt or whatever, I wouldn't shed a tear because,
- 33:40Speaker 4: to me, if somebody's hurt, somebody's hurt.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Yeah, right, you know.
- 33:45Speaker 4: If somebody gets killed or run over by a bus.
- 33:48Speaker 4: You know, people say, ah, I hope Trump meets his demise.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I don't.
- 33:53Speaker 4: I don't hope the man suffers any physical ill being, right, Okay,
- 33:59Speaker 4: I just don't like the man because of what he's
- 34:02Speaker 4: made seem normal in our country that isn't normal.
- 34:05Speaker 3: What did you What did you think of the comments
- 34:10Speaker 3: that came in from the left media last night saying
- 34:16Speaker 3: that maybe we shouldn't talk about this now. I don't know, man.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Now, I think I think addressing the fact that we
- 34:22Speaker 4: know these things happened, yeah, and saying that it's sad, yeah,
- 34:27Speaker 4: should be enough without politicizing.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Yeah, because we could get into a two hour show
- 34:32Speaker 4: just on that.
- 34:32Speaker 3: I agree. So I'm going to redirect that. Yeah. But
- 34:35Speaker 3: but here's the thing I just want to I just
- 34:38Speaker 3: want to read very quickly here what Governor Scott posted
- 34:43Speaker 3: last last night on social media, because I think it's
- 34:45Speaker 3: it's pertinent, and I think it it sums up everything, okay,
- 34:49Speaker 3: and I think I think we could probably move on
- 34:52Speaker 3: after this. But uh, he wrote, the heartbreaking assassination of
- 34:56Speaker 3: Charlie Kirk is a painful reminder to all of us
- 34:59Speaker 3: why increasing polarization is so dangerous and can lead to
- 35:04Speaker 3: political violence. My thoughts are with Charlie's wife, Erica, children, family, colleagues,
- 35:11Speaker 3: and friends. During this difficult time, our country continues to
- 35:14Speaker 3: become more fractured, more violent, and more partisan. We should
- 35:20Speaker 3: all feel a sense of responsibility to change that. There
- 35:23Speaker 3: is no doubt our nation is broken. But we've experienced
- 35:27Speaker 3: difficult situations before and have shown just how powerful our
- 35:31Speaker 3: country is when we are united, when we listen to
- 35:35Speaker 3: the perspectives of others, treat each other with respect, and
- 35:38Speaker 3: rise above the dangerous rhetoric that we're seeing More often,
- 35:42Speaker 3: we must strive to find common ground at the most
- 35:46Speaker 3: basic human levels, so that we can engage in the
- 35:49Speaker 3: free exchange of conflicting ideas and the open debate that
- 35:54Speaker 3: we desperately need to solve problems and help people. In
- 35:58Speaker 3: my opinion, that's some that's some forward thinking right there. Right.
- 36:05Speaker 4: You know what I mean, yep, no, I agree. And
- 36:08Speaker 4: when somebody comes to this country to seek asylum in
- 36:12Speaker 4: a better life and they go to work and on
- 36:15Speaker 4: their way home they take public transportation and get killed, Okay,
- 36:21Speaker 4: things like that need to stop because we're looking at
- 36:24Speaker 4: that and we're saying, oh, that's sad, and we're normalizing
- 36:27Speaker 4: it and moving on. And that's not normal because that
- 36:29Speaker 4: could be your child coming from work, living on their
- 36:33Speaker 4: own and then coming from another country for a better
- 36:37Speaker 4: life and ending up dead. So those things we need
- 36:40Speaker 4: to address, we need to fight against, we need to understand,
- 36:44Speaker 4: but we don't need to give it a lot of
- 36:46Speaker 4: room in our head that we stop living.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Yep.
- 36:49Speaker 4: So with that, I'm just kind of curious. Is there
- 36:52Speaker 4: any stupid criminal things? Yes, anything that we need to
- 36:57Speaker 4: do again to get back on the geez.
- 37:00Speaker 3: But do we have birthdays? We have a couple of well,
- 37:03Speaker 3: yeah we do. We have a couple of birthdays. I'm
- 37:05Speaker 3: just singing here and God, this makes me just like
- 37:08Speaker 3: woo feel so old. You remember the band Sticks, of
- 37:13Speaker 3: course you love Sticks. Tommy Shaw, the guitarist of Sticks,
- 37:20Speaker 3: is seventy two years old today.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Which makes us even older, makes us feel old it's
- 37:27Speaker 4: just we say sticks to the kids and they're like,
- 37:31Speaker 4: what things you pick up in the woods?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Oh my god, it was a band of sticks. Great
- 37:38Speaker 3: grateful dead drummer Mickey Hart is eighty two years old today. Wow. Wow.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Let's see birthdays right here on my list, which I've
- 37:51Speaker 3: got right here in my hot little hand. Let's see
- 37:54Speaker 3: Chris right. Wow. I know there's a couple of Chris
- 37:59Speaker 3: Wrights out there, but I think it is the Chris
- 38:01Speaker 3: right Chris, the Chris all right, and that Desk Champ.
- 38:09Speaker 3: We have Gary Lotspeech, Morgan Fleury, Scott Lichfield, Kyle Shapin,
- 38:19Speaker 3: Jillian Lowson. Let's see Kim Welch is on the birthday
- 38:25Speaker 3: list today. Becca Lynn, Happy birthday, Marie Bear and Tyler
- 38:35Speaker 3: Placey all celebrating birthdays.
- 38:39Speaker 4: And don't forget on Monday. Don't forget on Monday. You
- 38:44Speaker 4: must announce that my husband's birthday, okay, is on Monday
- 38:50Speaker 4: the fifteenth.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You make me nervous, then I'm gonna forget this.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I'll text you Monday morning, all right, so that you
- 38:57Speaker 4: can give a big shout out to Jed Forbit, who's
- 39:00Speaker 4: going to be a whopping m years old.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I just want to go back to Rodney. Believe me,
- 39:14Speaker 3: I have already gone down that road and have been Yeah,
- 39:20Speaker 3: that's what's happening. Uh, he'll be on tomorrow. That's that's
- 39:24Speaker 3: all I'm saying. He'll be on tomorrow. I would. I
- 39:27Speaker 3: want to mention if you if you're going to the
- 39:30Speaker 3: Tunbridge fair here over the next couple of days, which
- 39:33Speaker 3: I'm not. I know you're not. But the North Tunbridge Store,
- 39:41Speaker 3: there's a guy who's an electrical engineer. I can't remember
- 39:45Speaker 3: his name, Pat something, damn it, but he is going
- 39:51Speaker 3: around the state of Vermont and taking old payphones and
- 39:59Speaker 3: turning the them into digital phones where you can make
- 40:07Speaker 3: a free call. And you know that whole area Tonbridge, Yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 3: it's a dead spot and it's like if you try
- 40:13Speaker 3: to get cell service in there, good freaking block. But
- 40:19Speaker 3: there's this payphone at the North Tonbridge store. And Mike,
- 40:25Speaker 3: the owner of their super guy, if you, if you
- 40:29Speaker 3: pull in, you can I said, super if if you,
- 40:33Speaker 3: if you pull in, you can pick up this payphone
- 40:37Speaker 3: right there and make a make a phone call. And
- 40:40Speaker 3: it's I don't know what Pat's done, but he's somehow
- 40:44Speaker 3: he's converted this old phone into a digital phone. That's
- 40:49Speaker 3: that's connecting in with wireless stuff somewhere. And yeah, so
- 40:53Speaker 3: if you're having a frustrating time finding a g.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Let alone five right, yeah, hey, you don't even get one, No, no, no,
- 41:02Speaker 4: forget five g pull into the North Tunbridge store and
- 41:07Speaker 4: use that use that payphone.
- 41:08Speaker 3: It's free. Amazing. I'm I just wanted to tell you, man,
- 41:18Speaker 3: It's like, I'm struggling with the fact that I I
- 41:23Speaker 3: had a great time at the Green Mountain Reggae Festival,
- 41:27Speaker 3: by the way, but you know me, you know I
- 41:30Speaker 3: love all kinds of music. Yeah, yeah, I'm having such
- 41:32Speaker 3: a hard time digesting the fact that I missed the
- 41:38Speaker 3: opportunity to get tickets for the Doobie Brothers.
- 41:41Speaker 4: I'm like, really, haavys, Wow, that's that's taken us back
- 41:47Speaker 4: to god Man nineteen oh one.
- 41:51Speaker 3: I've seen him once in concert, and I swore I
- 41:54Speaker 3: would never miss another opportunity, and I did and missed it.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Just so busy call up. I looked at their their
- 42:01Speaker 3: website last night for their tour and learned that they're
- 42:05Speaker 3: out of it. They're way out of the northeast now
- 42:08Speaker 3: third like California. Well, but You're gonna make up for
- 42:12Speaker 3: that though. Oh, you're gonna go down this road.
- 42:17Speaker 4: You're gonna make up for that though, because now it's official.
- 42:21Speaker 3: You just jerked the wheel right out of my hand yep.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Because now it's official, it's no longer a shit, hey,
- 42:29Speaker 4: will it ever happen?
- 42:31Speaker 3: Or a never in my lifetime?
- 42:34Speaker 4: Will I We now officially own and have in our
- 42:40Speaker 4: possession the tickets for Trans Siberian Orchestra for Jed and
- 42:48Speaker 4: myself and you and Lily and chol In. We are
- 42:53Speaker 4: all going, and shol In just booked the hotel room
- 42:57Speaker 4: for you guys. So it's happening, and you will come
- 43:02Speaker 4: back at the end of it, and the next day
- 43:05Speaker 4: on the air, you will be wearing a Trans Siberian
- 43:09Speaker 4: shirt and.
- 43:11Speaker 3: You will be buying.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Oh, you're getting one, all right, and you're going to
- 43:16Speaker 4: wear it proudly because by the end of the concert,
- 43:20Speaker 4: I guarantee you you're gonna look at me and go
- 43:23Speaker 4: it wasn't bad at all, kind of cool. There's fire,
- 43:28Speaker 4: there's light shows, there's music that they come down into
- 43:33Speaker 4: the audience, they fly over our heads. I mean, it's
- 43:37Speaker 4: an amazing show. And you are going to be in
- 43:40Speaker 4: the twelfth row from the front stage, watching the.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Whole thing with Lily and Sherlin.
- 43:48Speaker 4: And Jed and I So screw the Doobie Brothers. You're
- 43:56Speaker 4: doing it. You're doing it live.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Baby.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Don't say that I'm even gonna videotape you, because I
- 44:02Speaker 4: know that it's gonna be spots where you're going to
- 44:04Speaker 4: be dancing and stuff, and I'm gonna be like, look, everyone,
- 44:08Speaker 4: is this.
- 44:08Speaker 3: Not the example of the message that I think you
- 44:14Speaker 3: and I push pretty consistently every Thursday, that there's two
- 44:18Speaker 3: people here myself and you. Right, we're friends. Right, we
- 44:23Speaker 3: don't agree.
- 44:26Speaker 4: On so many things, but you're going to agree on
- 44:28Speaker 4: this when it's over with possibly, But we still love
- 44:32Speaker 4: each other.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, I don't listen to you. I always love
- 44:35Speaker 3: those below me. Just saying I don't listen to Barbara
- 44:42Speaker 3: streisand I don't listen to Share, I don't listen to
- 44:46Speaker 3: the trains. I might have to really think we think
- 44:49Speaker 3: the friendship Actually I don't shop at TIMU, but we
- 44:57Speaker 3: still love each other.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Because it's not about your opinion or
- 45:03Speaker 4: my opinion that defines us. It's about what's in the
- 45:07Speaker 4: heart and what we believe in on a core value.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Yes, you know.
- 45:12Speaker 4: That's the thing, is the core. I think that's the
- 45:14Speaker 4: most important thing. Is if you look into somebody's core
- 45:19Speaker 4: and you don't like their core, then you can't be
- 45:21Speaker 4: their friend. Okay, if they have a million opinions that
- 45:26Speaker 4: contrast with yours, that's fine. But if their core is evil,
- 45:31Speaker 4: or if you're an evil person in their core is
- 45:34Speaker 4: amazingly beautiful, you can't be friends with that. The cores
- 45:39Speaker 4: have to align to some degree, that's right, and our
- 45:42Speaker 4: cause aligned because neither one of us want to see
- 45:45Speaker 4: somebody get hurt.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Neither one of us want to cause pain or hurt
- 45:49Speaker 3: to anybody.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Okay, both of us can walk down the street and
- 45:53Speaker 4: see one little flower growing in a cement crack and
- 45:57Speaker 4: take a picture of it because we appreciate that. Okay,
- 46:00Speaker 4: But at the same time, we can also understand that
- 46:04Speaker 4: I'm right about trans Siberian.
- 46:06Speaker 3: And you're wrong.
- 46:07Speaker 4: But you will come to the dark side by the
- 46:10Speaker 4: end of the show. Yeah, And that's what's important, is
- 46:13Speaker 4: that my opinion overfloods yours to the point that you
- 46:17Speaker 4: give up.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Right And let me say this, if I was to
- 46:24Speaker 3: get a dog, oh, listen. I hope that Figgie's not
- 46:29Speaker 3: listening this morning. But I mean, if I was to
- 46:33Speaker 3: get a dog, it wouldn't be a little chihuahua. I understand,
- 46:36Speaker 3: it would be a big dog.
- 46:37Speaker 4: I had the perfect dog for you guys, but sheolyn
- 46:40Speaker 4: wasn't ready yet.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Yeah, stupid criminile, you want it, bring it on right this.
- 46:49Speaker 3: This wouldn't be any more stupider than what we were
- 46:51Speaker 3: talking about. This is probably going to be something that
- 46:56Speaker 3: you're you're know I could believe. I don't believe half
- 47:03Speaker 3: to sit these criminals do these days. I'll say, I'll
- 47:06Speaker 3: say this if you are a six year old aspiring
- 47:14Speaker 3: criminal aspire, Please don't think that your Barbie cheep is
- 47:22Speaker 3: going to slip through the cracks unnoticed. Okay, I just
- 47:26Speaker 3: want to lead off by saying that a man in
- 47:29Speaker 3: Canada was just arrested after he was caught driving through
- 47:34Speaker 3: town in a child sized pink plastic Barbie cheap. Not
- 47:46Speaker 3: only okay, was he arrested for driving this thing on
- 47:56Speaker 3: a city street. Please don't tell me what I think
- 47:58Speaker 3: you're gonna say. But he also did not have a license.
- 48:06Speaker 3: I knew you were gonna say that he had a
- 48:10Speaker 3: he had a suspended license. He was on a city
- 48:16Speaker 3: street and let me get my bell ready. He was hammered.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Oh god, you can't make this stuff out. You don't
- 48:33Speaker 3: want me to tell you his real name? Do you
- 48:35Speaker 3: please do? Casper Lincoln. This all happened last weekend, he
- 48:44Speaker 3: was can we make it worse? Yeah? He was wearing
- 48:47Speaker 3: aviator glasses. Wow, possibly for safety reasons. Why not when
- 48:53Speaker 3: you're going that fast you need to protect your eyes?
- 48:55Speaker 3: Oh god, yes. He says that he was just being
- 49:01Speaker 3: lazy and decided to take the jeep out for a
- 49:07Speaker 3: quoting here slurpy run. I thought you were gonna take
- 49:12Speaker 3: a spin the slippy run. Excellent. He is frustrated because
- 49:19Speaker 3: he drove on the sidewalk mostly, but did also drive
- 49:25Speaker 3: on the road that becomes a vehicle. And that's the
- 49:30Speaker 3: part that that's that's got him, that's the part that
- 49:36Speaker 3: the police were were pissed off about. You can't, you can't.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Do you want to see a picture of him? Sure,
- 49:46Speaker 3: because I know you're you're having a hard time. I'm
- 49:48Speaker 3: I'm I am. But like Bill Burr always says, Bill
- 49:52Speaker 3: Burr always says, the comedian can't make this set up.
- 49:57Speaker 3: There he is. If you look at your monitor, Oh
- 49:59Speaker 3: my goodness, that's priceless. That is funny. They're gonna do it,
- 50:04Speaker 3: that's one thing. Yeah, if you can do it with
- 50:06Speaker 3: a suspended license, that's another thing. Right, if you're gonna
- 50:09Speaker 3: wear aviator glasses, that's another thing. If you're gonna take
- 50:14Speaker 3: it off the sidewalk and get onto the main road,
- 50:16Speaker 3: that's another thing. But if you're gonna do all of
- 50:18Speaker 3: this hammered.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Yeah, well the hambred parts the funniest, that's the next level.
- 50:22Speaker 3: That's that's just could you possibly do this sober? No? No,
- 50:28Speaker 3: why would you?
- 50:28Speaker 4: Why would I'd rather get on a kid's bicycle than
- 50:32Speaker 4: to than to look that foolish. But there you have it, people,
- 50:36Speaker 4: this is This isn't God bless America.
- 50:40Speaker 3: Huh Yeah, let's see just looking here, blood alcohol level.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Let's just see if I'm trying to find the blood
- 50:55Speaker 3: alcohol level, because I know it's it's thereless, I'll find it.
- 51:05Speaker 3: I'll find it. Apparently, this Barbie cheep tops out at
- 51:10Speaker 3: five miles per hour. Oh, I think the average walking
- 51:13Speaker 3: speed is six.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Yeah, wouldn't have been either. Well, he was hammered, so
- 51:17Speaker 4: walking was difficult.
- 51:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Police did not think it was a laughing matter,
- 51:22Speaker 3: even though there was a crowd of people that were
- 51:24Speaker 3: gathered round laughing. You think, well, the police have no
- 51:29Speaker 3: sense of humor.
- 51:30Speaker 4: I get that their job is difficult, and I commend
- 51:32Speaker 4: them for everything they do.
- 51:34Speaker 3: You know, they.
- 51:36Speaker 4: Get spit on, they get hit, they get cursed that
- 51:39Speaker 4: they get they get told the law. I love when
- 51:42Speaker 4: people say, oh, you can't do that, that's not legal.
- 51:45Speaker 4: It's like, man, it is, no, it's not I know
- 51:47Speaker 4: my rights. Sure, okay, Greg, but come on, you see
- 51:52Speaker 4: somebody driving in a car that's that's tiny, that goes
- 51:56Speaker 4: five miles an hour and he's drunk. Sure, let's let's
- 52:01Speaker 4: smile a little bit, all right. I'm sure they laughed
- 52:03Speaker 4: when they got back to the station. I'm sure they don't.
- 52:08Speaker 4: This is a career highlight. Here's I wonder if I
- 52:11Speaker 4: wonder if when cops pull people over and they have
- 52:13Speaker 4: to be really serious because the people are being idiots or.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Telling them their job is.
- 52:18Speaker 4: I wonder if when they get back in the car
- 52:20Speaker 4: when it's over, if they look at their partner and
- 52:23Speaker 4: they both just start laughing, saying.
- 52:25Speaker 3: I know what the hour of that? I know, man,
- 52:29Speaker 3: I don't because they got good sense of humors. They
- 52:31Speaker 3: really do. They're great people.
- 52:33Speaker 4: It's just they deal with so much shit that they
- 52:35Speaker 4: don't know how to smile to people because they don't know.
- 52:37Speaker 4: They don't want to come across weak.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Here it is. Here's some video footage here.
- 52:42Speaker 1: You're really arresting them for driving a kid's.
- 52:45Speaker 3: Cheap that's right.
- 52:46Speaker 5: On Friday, a Prince George Man was pulled over and
- 52:49Speaker 5: arrested right here after he was seen driving a child
- 52:52Speaker 5: sized pink Barbie jeep down this busy road.
- 52:55Speaker 3: I want to just want to get it a slurpee.
- 52:57Speaker 3: I got lazy, I didn't want to walk now.
- 52:59Speaker 5: Casper says he was using the sidewalk until he came
- 53:02Speaker 5: to a closed lane, and after that he turned right,
- 53:05Speaker 5: and that's when he was pulled over, prompting disbelief and
- 53:08Speaker 5: a few memes. A Laura Kila Lisa is driving any
- 53:11Speaker 5: car without a license and insurance, even a toy one,
- 53:14Speaker 5: is against the law.
- 53:16Speaker 6: The law is very clear. Toy cars constitute motor vehicles
- 53:19Speaker 6: if they are powered by some sort of an engine.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Nobody wants to hit somebody in a barbie car, and
- 53:24Speaker 6: drivers aren't looking for Barbie cars in the roadway, so
- 53:26Speaker 6: it is a serious safety issue.
- 53:28Speaker 5: Police say they also found the driver had a suspended
- 53:30Speaker 5: license and later blew over the legal blood alcohol limit,
- 53:34Speaker 5: which is why he was taken in Lincoln doesn't deny
- 53:38Speaker 5: these charges, but says he had no idea he was
- 53:40Speaker 5: breaking the law. Oh, I'm going to like three clicks
- 53:44Speaker 5: because like I did all I did, my hand signals
- 53:46Speaker 5: and everything, but he's taking it all in stride.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Model number barbieg Color, Pink.
- 53:53Speaker 5: Andrew Creata, CBC News, Prince George.
- 53:59Speaker 4: Make that stuff. No, that's just amazing. So now people,
- 54:06Speaker 4: you've learned something. Any motorized vehicle of any kind cannot
- 54:13Speaker 4: be on rush, even if it's going only one mile
- 54:15Speaker 4: an hour. Even a lawnmower, even a yeah, people have
- 54:19Speaker 4: ridden their lawnmowers in the street.
- 54:21Speaker 3: They do it on my street there the lawn services.
- 54:26Speaker 4: They'll park all the way down and if they have
- 54:28Speaker 4: like three or four houses on that street, they will
- 54:31Speaker 4: drive right past my house on it like it's like
- 54:35Speaker 4: it's nothing. Yeah, on the street. So that's considered a vehicle.
- 54:40Speaker 4: You know, these things are dangerous and even if five
- 54:42Speaker 4: miles an hour, you got a little kid walking and
- 54:44Speaker 4: you hit the kid or it could hurt. I mean,
- 54:46Speaker 4: so I could see that, but it is still funny.
- 54:50Speaker 4: There are some things that people do that are stupid,
- 54:53Speaker 4: but but hindsight later you kind of laugh at it.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Stacy just wrote no rubber duckies for that cheap boy.
- 55:07Speaker 3: That would have been the cherry on top though. Who's
- 55:09Speaker 3: whose jeep was it though? Was it his kids or
- 55:11Speaker 3: did he take it from somebody's yard or wouldn't that
- 55:14Speaker 3: would have been so much better if it was stolen
- 55:17Speaker 3: stolen jeep on top.
- 55:20Speaker 4: He was hammered, and he was hammered without a license
- 55:23Speaker 4: driving on a main road to make a slurpee run,
- 55:26Speaker 4: to make a slurpy run with aviator classes with and
- 55:30Speaker 4: then oh no, what can you can see the mentality?
- 55:36Speaker 4: Oh god, you know, And that's I don't even want
- 55:40Speaker 4: to get into that. You and I have had that
- 55:44Speaker 4: conversation off the air, and let's keep it there.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Absolutely, Charlene and I have had that.
- 55:50Speaker 4: Tracy and I have had that conversation, and none of
- 55:53Speaker 4: those conversations.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Will I ever air publicly.
- 55:56Speaker 4: No, you know, I sent Tracy Emmia other day that said,
- 56:00Speaker 4: you're my best friend because we can pick on people
- 56:03Speaker 4: and nobody knows what we're saying. Yes, you know, and
- 56:05Speaker 4: that's certain things when you do it in the privacy
- 56:08Speaker 4: of your friendship.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Yes, don't spread it out.
- 56:11Speaker 4: Yes, keep it there because because then if you trust
- 56:14Speaker 4: that person, then you can say more things. Yeah, and
- 56:17Speaker 4: you know that it's just between us.
- 56:19Speaker 3: Lily and I do that in the parking lot every
- 56:22Speaker 3: now and then we'll go somewhere and you know whatever,
- 56:25Speaker 3: Hanniford's whatever. Walmart will pull in and Chryln will.
- 56:29Speaker 7: Be like, I'm not bringing you two with me. I
- 56:31Speaker 7: gotta get it done. I want to get it done quickly,
- 56:34Speaker 7: and I want to get out of here it and
- 56:35Speaker 7: I'll be right back. She doesn't actually talk like that. No,
- 56:39Speaker 7: that's how I hear it.
- 56:41Speaker 4: No, I hear it as I hear it as you
- 56:43Speaker 4: take too fucking long. So I'm gonna go myself and
- 56:46Speaker 4: you just sit here and fuck off.
- 56:49Speaker 3: That's very similar pretty much. How So she'll go inside,
- 56:52Speaker 3: and Lily and I will will sit in the car
- 56:56Speaker 3: and do the voices of other people, of the other
- 56:59Speaker 3: people that we see putting groceries in the car, taking
- 57:02Speaker 3: groceries out. I do that at restaurants. Well, we do
- 57:06Speaker 3: it in the privacy we have glass surrounding us.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Yeah, But in a restaurant when you're sitting in a
- 57:11Speaker 4: booth and you see somebody cross the way and you're like,
- 57:13Speaker 4: what do you think they're talking about?
- 57:15Speaker 3: And then you do the voices and then and then
- 57:17Speaker 3: the guy.
- 57:17Speaker 4: Will talk, well, honey, I really do love you. And
- 57:19Speaker 4: then the woman said, now you now, And I saw
- 57:21Speaker 4: you with that girl the other day. I just joke around.
- 57:24Speaker 4: I love doing it.
- 57:25Speaker 3: It's funny. Yeah. Anything that burns your ass this morning,
- 57:30Speaker 3: gee JD. There's so many things in life that burn
- 57:33Speaker 3: my ass. You know.
- 57:35Speaker 4: Somebody just recently told me that they've noticed over the
- 57:38Speaker 4: last few months or whatever that I've gotten more maybe
- 57:43Speaker 4: cynical or angry. And I didn't see it coming. But
- 57:49Speaker 4: one of the things I can and it doesn't burn
- 57:51Speaker 4: my ass. But one of the things I can say is,
- 57:53Speaker 4: you know, when you have a really good friend, when
- 57:56Speaker 4: they can literally tell you something about something that you're
- 58:01Speaker 4: doing that's not positive and they say it.
- 58:04Speaker 3: With love and you hear it interesting.
- 58:07Speaker 4: You know, they criticize something that's genuinely an issue. And
- 58:12Speaker 4: this person told me just a couple of days ago,
- 58:15Speaker 4: you've gotten very angry and I don't mean to, you know,
- 58:19Speaker 4: demean or anything, but you're not as happy as.
- 58:22Speaker 3: You used to be. And I was like, wow, I
- 58:25Speaker 3: didn't realize that.
- 58:27Speaker 4: And I think it's everything that's going on in our
- 58:29Speaker 4: nation right now and the way people are acting on
- 58:32Speaker 4: the streets right now, and how defensive we have to
- 58:35Speaker 4: be that should I carry a gun just in case
- 58:38Speaker 4: or should I leave it home? And what's going to
- 58:41Speaker 4: happen if I go to a fair, when I go
- 58:44Speaker 4: to a concert, is there going to be a shooting.
- 58:47Speaker 4: There's so many bad things going on that it's weighing
- 58:51Speaker 4: down my head to the point that sometimes it's hard
- 58:53Speaker 4: to be cheerful. So maybe that's what burns my ass,
- 58:56Speaker 4: is that there's so much shit out there that choosing
- 59:00Speaker 4: to allow it to affect me instead of choosing to
- 59:03Speaker 4: be more the positive look, you know, so, which is frustrating,
- 59:10Speaker 4: But the fact that they brought it up to me
- 59:12Speaker 4: that a lot of people wouldn't do because they don't
- 59:14Speaker 4: want to piss me off or whatever. Now I'm mindful
- 59:17Speaker 4: of that, and when I'm angry or grumpy, I choose
- 59:21Speaker 4: to be angry or grumpy. Now I'm not allowing it
- 59:24Speaker 4: to define me anymore. Sure, it's because I want to
- 59:27Speaker 4: be angry, not because I'm being defined by everything around you.
- 59:30Speaker 3: Yeah so interesting. Yeah, so well that's heavy, man, Yeah
- 59:35Speaker 3: it was pretty heavy. Was that all about?
- 59:37Speaker 4: Where'd that come from? I don't know, but you know
- 59:40Speaker 4: what it is. I don't have drops today in my drink.
- 59:42Speaker 3: Oh so, so there's nothing stopping me from being heavy.
- 59:50Speaker 3: I don't know if there's really anything that's that's burning
- 59:53Speaker 3: my ass this morning other than the lower right hip
- 59:58Speaker 3: that has been thrown out of of joint here completely
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: threw my back out. Guess what I did to throw
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: my back out Probably the same thing I do, which
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: is nothing. No, you have to put the word absolutely
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: absolutely nothing. Stupid me laid on the floor to lay
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: with my dog. My dog was on the carpet.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: He has a little mat on the carpet that he
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: chooses bones and stuff on, and so I was laying
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: there with him and he cuddled up to me, and
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: then he saw the cat, so he got up and ran.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: So I of course had to get up. Yeah yeah,
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: from down there to the chair. Did nothing but get
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: up and boom.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: I was screwed. You know, at our age, you can
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: throw your back out sneezing, coughing yep, pooping yep.
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: Or when you sneeze you poop and pee and throw
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: your back out all the same time.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's amazing. Have you done that? No, not all.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: I'm not yet. You haven't sil yourself as you're sneezing.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Not yet.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: But I've had to hold my private sometimes when I'm
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: when I'm sneezing, because I also have to go peek.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: And another question I have is did you ever notice
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: if you're out driving and you're heading home and you.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Have to pee, you really gotta go home? Why is
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: it because you have in a large prostate, right like
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I do? Right?
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Why is it that when you get to the door
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: and you're unlocking the door, all of a sudden you
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: have to pee ten times hard and by the time
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: you get to the bathroom it's trickling out. But if
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: you're still in the car driving home, you just feel
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: the sensation of having to pee. But when you get
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: up and you get to the door and you're fumbling
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: your keys, you're like.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: God, damn it, no, I really got to pick.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Why is it you have to pee that much more
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: at the front door than in your car.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: I completely understand this. How frustrating is that? How frustrating
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: is it when you're having this kind of emergency because
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: you're your prostate is the size of a football. Yeah
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: that you you pull up somewhere. I'm sorry, sir. No
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: public restrooms? Yeah, find I'll buy a piece of candy.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Who Yeah, yeah, I know, I know.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: There are certain places between here and Burlington that I
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: know are public restrooms, certain stores, certain whatever.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: I have my favorite pull off spots.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I have mapped areas of Okay, there's the rest
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: stop as you get into Williston, but before that, there's
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: the gas station at the park and ride that's a
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: public There's one over in Waterbury that I know.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: So there are certain.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Spots that if I know, well, I don't have the piece,
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: so I'm going to head to Burlington. But yeah, I
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: drank this coffee. So I do my route knowing that
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: by the time I get to Waterbury, I'm probably got
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: so I'm going to take root too. But by the
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: time I get to sutch And, Yeah, I lay it out.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: There's pull off spots where you know that you don't
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: have to open any doors on the side of your
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: car right where you only have to open the front door.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: And there's pulloffs where you know that's a double door
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: pull off, right, yes, yeah, yeah, Wow. I can't believe
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: I'm talking about this.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: You know what's funny is my son we were going
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: to Burlington or something, my youngest at the time, and
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: his friends was with us, and his friend was like, gee,
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: because I was driving, he said, gee, I need.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: To go to the bathroom. I was like, all right, well,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: we're going to be there soon.
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: And we got to a certain point where he's like,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: I gotta go, and he had a freaking water thing
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: that he had finished up, and he's in the back
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: seat going in this thing, and I'm like, are you
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: kidding me?
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Right now, there's a stop your door. Yeah, in the
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: back of my truck. That's but he didn't need this container.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Anyone else's truck in the world I can understand, but
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: not your truck. But he did it in this container.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: And I was just like, I cannot believe you're peeing
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: in the back of my truck. And that's a young person.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: But that's how they do it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Us.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: We hold it as long as humanly possible, and if
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: we got to pull over to the side of the road.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: We may open up two doors. I saw a guy
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: as we were going down the highway. He was peeing
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: in the back behind his car. We're driving and behind
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: his car he's dude, stand behind a door. Yeah, my god,
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: do you have to do we have to see it happening.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Yeah. And then there's when you have to peece so
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: badly that you can't pee. Oh my god.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: And the first one that comes out, it's like somebody
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: just exploded a bomb.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and there you have it.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: The things we talk about on air that we're airing
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: it out people.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: Well, you know what, there's just there's a lot of
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: people that can relate to this. Yeah, there's a lot
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: of middle aged men who they know and women. This
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: is true.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Listen, we always have to include both sexes because, in
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: my opinion, a parson is a parson.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: Yeah. They're not a woman, they're not a man, they're
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: a person. You ever seen the bathrooms that the Tunbridge
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: World's Fair.
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: Oh my god. Yeah, those make you throw up while
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: you're peeing. Yeah, just the smell getting near it.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: It's like Jed would say to me, wonder way the
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: bathroom is here, Like I'm following my nose.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah, right, and you can follow it.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: When we went to see Fluffy, the bathrooms are all outside, yeah,
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: and you knew.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Which where we were sitting. The bathrooms were down there.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: Yeah they were far away, but yeah, it was raining
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: and it was windy.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: Best place to go to the bathroom backyard under the stars,
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Oh gosh, yes, oh yeah, yep. Anyway, I'm sitting on
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: the couch. This is people are watching me walk around.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: I'm walking around like I'm crippled right now because I
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: threw my back right, my right, lower right? What did
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Kurt Heally say? Lower right? Sacer iliac. Okay, you've heard
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: of this. And he was like, oh wow, he's in there.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: He's feeling and he's like, ooh, you got a lot
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: of inflammation in here. What did you What did you do?
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Did you lift something the wrong way? Sitting on the couch. Yeah,
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: this is how I threw my back out. Ready watch,
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: I'll demonstrate it for you right now. This is how
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: I threw my back out sitting on the couch. Oh yeah,
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: that's it. That's it. That's all it takes.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: He's like, what did you do? And I was like,
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: I was breathing. Yeah, you know, it's funny, but not
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: funny but lightly. But Jed would be down in his
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: shop and he's working on something and he's bending over
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: and he's and all of a sudden he's like, no, no,
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: whoa we goes?
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: And I says, what he goes? I can't move because
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: if I move, it's gonna go out.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: No.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: And I look at him and I said, because Jed's
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: a lot younger than me. And I look at him
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: and I says, welcome to old days.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: This is the beginning.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: He's finally catching up, finally catching up. And then Cholyn
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: told you last night that you were only seven years
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: younger than me. And my answer was, you're catching up
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: to me. Like I don't have any more birthdays. You're
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: catching up to me.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Soon you'll be at my age with me.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: It's like, gosh, if he's seven years younger, when he
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: gets to my age, you're gonna be even older. But yeah,
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Jed will be doing even if he's just sitting on
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: the couch and he's doing because Jed has three D printers,
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: so he makes a lot of stuff. Right now, he's
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: making a whole bunch of three D D and d
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: dice and he's doing it with speckles in it, and
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: he puts it in this pressure cooker, the whole thing. Yes,
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: and he's sitting there and he's standing the dice because
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: it came out of the pressure cooker and now he's
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: standing it smooth and getting ready to paint the numbers.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: And he's like, wait, wait, I says what. He goes,
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: I can't move. I gotta wait a minute, and then
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: like thirty seconds will go by. He's like, all right,
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: it passed. I says, what happened? He goes, I almost
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: my back almost went out. I said, you weren't doing anything,
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: he says, I.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: It's like it's amazing here I am last night. I mean,
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: when we were kids, we jump off the roof into
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: leaf piles and we didn't do anything all the time.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: I jump. I jumped the parked car on my bicycle. Yeah,
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: with a four x eight sheet of plywood. Is my
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: ramp on a trash can? Yeah, over a parked car
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: on my street with a leaf pile as the landing
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: pad on the other side of the car. Right broke
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: my leg? Were you fat?
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Then?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: No?
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: I was? Actually it was really thin Okay, what do
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: you mean then, So you're implying that I am now, No, no,
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: you are big boned.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: I never body shame yep, because body shaming is not
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: it's not PC.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: So here I am. Last night, I'm sitting at the
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: kitchen table. I'm walking around like a ninety and limping around.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: I mean, you tend to be over dramatic anyway, but
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: go on. Kurt Healy's working on me right now, and
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: we have another appointment this afternoon. But here I am.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: I'm sitting at the kitchen table last night. I want
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: to show you what I looked like. Okay, are you ready?
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: Are you sitting down? I'm sitting This is the truth,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: this is this is the real me last night at
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: the kitchen table. Okay, here we go. Oh it's like
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: a mister Bean all vain, literally knocking off an exclusion doctor.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: It's sad. Mm hmm, it's sad. Yeah, let's close out
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: this morning before how do we close out after that performance?
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: Anything you want to close out with this morning? I
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: want to make you you go first, me go first.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Anything you can say anything you Oh no, you don't
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: want me to do that.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: I have so many million things that I want to
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: say that just is so not PC. So I'm gonna
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: I'm gonna defer to the gentleman in the corner over there.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: Okay, I want to close out this morning, and I
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: know you and I usually close out with stuff that's
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: on Thursdays, especially that's uh, very goofy and very inappropriate.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: There's a good chance that I'll probably turn it goofy inappropriate.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: But go ahead. Now, this is a this is a
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: do the goof first so that I can close with
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: the serious. No, okay, I'm going to close God, no no, no, no, no,
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: no no no no. I know sometimes I trick you something.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: I know sometimes I trick you. I say that it's
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: it's going to be serious, and it's really goofy. I'm
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: actually gonna be really serious. Okay. No, I'm I'm serious.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: I'm going to be serious, okay, and I'll turn it
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: into a goof Yesterday. Yesterday was Wednesday. It was Wednesday,
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: and it was a heavy day for for many of us.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: And here's me thinking, oh my god, tomorrow's September eleventh,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: and now we got this on top of it. How
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: are G and I gonna pull off a Thursday morning
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: show and I'm walking around. I'm carrying this man and
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: it's part of me. That's that's yeah, I'm still carrying. Right,
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: it's a this is a heavy day. It's a heavy
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: this is a heavy, heavy week. You know. We got
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: North Carolina, which really bugged me, and it's still renting
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: space we got yesterday with Charlie Kirk. We got nine
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: to eleven. And all of this yesterday was something I
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: had an experienced yesterday that I wasn't expecting. And this
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: is what is so magnificent about life. Sometimes the most
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: obvious things that are so beautiful are right in front
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: of us, but we're so caught up with what's renting
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: space in our minds that we're forgetting and we don't
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: see the beautiful things that are right in front of us.
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: Everyone and their brother knows Mazy logenus very special young
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: lady who everyone knows, and she works at TJ Max. Right.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: I went into TJ Max yesterday because I was having
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: a little bit of a panic episode needing to use
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: the men's room forgetting, because I was so preoccupied with
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: needing to pee, forgetting that Mazie Loginus works there and
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: has for like twelve years, thirteen years something like that.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: I come out of the bathroom and there she is.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: I love Mazie. Mazie loves me. And she gave me
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: this massive bear hug and had her arms wrapped around
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: my neck so hard I thought my head was gonna
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: pop off and helped me and squeezed me for the
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: longest time. And I'm wearing a shirt from Sweethearts and
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: Heroes that says free hugs, Free Hugs. I had another
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: shirt on underneath that, so I took off my hugs
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: shirt and gave it to her because everyone knows that
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Mazie is the greatest hugger right in the world. Yep.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: And I'm thinking, I'm like, when you wear this shirt
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: that says free hugs, does it mean that you want
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: to give free hugs or that you would like to
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: receive either free hugs either, you know? And I took
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: this shirt off and I gave it to her because
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: there's no one on the planet that needs that shirt
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: more than Mazie, right. And she was so happy and
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: I was so happy, and we just had a nice
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: little talk and it was great. And man, that was
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: like the biggest smack across my head. Here is someone
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: who doesn't know and doesn't care right about all of
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: the bad shit that is stacked up in this world
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: and in our nation, all of the bad news, but
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: has a heart that is so filled with love it
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: is beyond infectious. Right, it made all of the difference, yep.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: In my day and last night, one thing after another,
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: bad news coming down the pipe, man showing up on
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: the phone, text messages the whole nine yards and I'm like,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: I'm a soccer practice with Lily on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: My little girl is running around the field having fun,
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: and Mazy Laginus gave me the hug of my life today.
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: Those things, those two things, yep, win the win. Yeah.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: So what you're saying is you need me to give
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: you a hug and run around a field in the
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: sunlight kicking a ball.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: I don't want you to hug me because if you do,
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: I'll probably fart and throw my back out the left side,
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: and I don't want that.
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: But you want to see me run around a field
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: kicking a ball that I definitely don't want to see.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: And yet you would soil.
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: And yet I've taken that beautiful story and turned it
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: into a goof Mabe Go da Mazy made.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: Me something years ago and put it here on my
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: desk here in the studio, and it's still here. It's
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: here every day, and I look at it every single
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: day when I'm on the air, and I'm going to
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: show it on camera right now. I don't know if
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: I've ever showed this on camera. It's right here on
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: my hand, but it's right here on my deskne it
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: many times, right in front of me, and here it is,
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: and this is what I'm going out with this morning,
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: right there. Look at that. Yep. Amen, that's it, man,
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: that's it. Nothing could be more important. Peace out, people,
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: have a great day, everybody
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: At
