- 1:24Speaker 2: Joakim Gomez here with you. And don't forget, for the

- 1:29Speaker 2: Cup history, there's gonna be a halftime show. There's BTS,
- 1:33Speaker 2: there's Madonna, and there's.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Shakira as well, curated by Coldplay's very own Chris Martin.
- 1:38Speaker 2: That's it, concert announcements here in Singapore. If you're trying
- 1:42Speaker 2: to get tickets for the weekend, well, they're all sold out.
- 1:45Speaker 2: October 2nd, October 3rd, Singapore, and to all our friends
- 1:49Speaker 2: from around the region, we showed up.
- 1:53Speaker 2: It's gonna be two amazing nights at the National Stadium,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and not forgetting on November 28th, we've got Le Seraphim
- 2:00Speaker 2: as well as Baby Monster coming back to Singapore. I
- 2:03Speaker 2: really wonder which one you are gonna go for. If
- 2:06Speaker 2: you love your English Premier League, maybe even your Champions
- 2:10Speaker 2: League action, Formula One, and for the upcoming World Cup,
- 2:14Speaker 2: if you
- 2:14Speaker 2: If you want an easier way to track your favorite
- 2:17Speaker 2: team or all that's happening, you can even have it
- 2:19Speaker 2: on your phone's locked screen as well. I want to
- 2:22Speaker 2: say congratulations to Apple because they just recently launched this
- 2:25Speaker 2: new app called Apple Sports, and trust me, for me
- 2:29Speaker 2: to even publicly share it with you here on 987,
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's one of the better apps that Apple has released,
- 2:34Speaker 2: so well done to Apple.
- 2:38Speaker 2: So you don't need to unlock your phone and go
- 2:40Speaker 2: to Live score or whatever app you have. Just use
- 2:42Speaker 2: Apple Sports. You can have everything on display on your
- 2:45Speaker 2: lock screen as well. That is how I'm tracking my
- 2:47Speaker 2: favorite international team of all time, Germany. My pick to
- 2:50Speaker 2: win the World Cup, England and the sentimental favorite, Portugal
- 2:53Speaker 2: for this World Cup in case I were to miss
- 2:56Speaker 2: any of their games. And trust me, it'll make the
- 3:00Speaker 2: group stages.
- 3:00Speaker 2: And the round of 32 and 16, easier for you
- 3:04Speaker 2: to understand and follow. So again, get Apple Sports on
- 3:08Speaker 2: your iPhone if you're on it. And OK, if you
- 3:11Speaker 2: love your durian, I'm giving you a few dates to
- 3:14Speaker 2: take note of. Maybe this could be a very good
- 3:16Speaker 2: World Cup companion for you as well, but for this one,
- 3:20Speaker 2: you need to have it there. So I don't think
- 3:23Speaker 2: you can top up.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Unless you want to buy some durians back home and
- 3:26Speaker 2: enjoy it with friends or family. June 19th to 21st
- 3:31Speaker 2: over at Fair Price Extra Parkway Parade and Fair Price
- 3:35Speaker 2: Extra Vivo City on June 26th and 28th. If you
- 3:40Speaker 2: live near those areas, congratulations. You are having the all
- 3:44Speaker 2: you can eat durian buffet. It's coming back.
- 3:49Speaker 2: You get premium Mao Shan Wang and Black Thorn buffet
- 3:53Speaker 2: on the menu. I think if you want more details,
- 3:56Speaker 2: our friends over at NTUC FairPrice, they got all the
- 3:58Speaker 2: details for you. It's gonna be $85 per pack, all
- 4:03Speaker 2: you can eat, and if you're buying for two people,
- 4:05Speaker 2: you get $20 off. It's the early bird promo till
- 4:09Speaker 2: 12th of June. So I don't know whether is there
- 4:12Speaker 2: a time limit or not, but the sessions.
- 4:16Speaker 2: On Friday is 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m.,
- 4:22Speaker 2: and 8:00 p.m. So maybe you are given about 90
- 4:24Speaker 2: minutes to enjoy all the durians you can. So again,
- 4:27Speaker 2: Fair Price Extra Parkway Parade happening June 19th to 21st,
- 4:32Speaker 2: and then Fair Price Extra Vivo City from June 26th
- 4:36Speaker 2: to June 28th. 0, all I can say is make
- 4:39Speaker 2: sure you stock up on the Three Lakes cooling water.
- 4:41Speaker 2: It will come in handy.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Given how today's a public holiday, I'm gonna predict on
- 4:46Speaker 2: where most of the Gen Z's could be hanging out
- 4:49Speaker 2: just to try their luck in terms of queuing and
- 4:52Speaker 2: making sure they go for this very nice popular dessert
- 4:56Speaker 2: or a snack. I think they might be at Yochi. Yes,
- 5:02Speaker 2: over at Orchard Central, and they've now opened up their
- 5:05Speaker 2: second outlet over at Star Vista. Congratulations to Yochi, yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Now, don't be startled when I say this. I've not
- 5:13Speaker 2: tried Yochi as of yet, but every Friday night, Saturday,
- 5:16Speaker 2: or even maybe Sunday afternoon, I see all these very well-dressed,
- 5:20Speaker 2: handsome and beautiful looking Gen Z's.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You would think they're going to a club or they're
- 5:26Speaker 2: gonna have a great Friday night out with their friends. No,
- 5:29Speaker 2: they're dressing up to go to Yochi. Yes. So Yochi
- 5:32Speaker 2: is now opened over at Star Vista and apparently the
- 5:36Speaker 2: first guy in the queue was queuing for quite a
- 5:38Speaker 2: while at 8:30 a.m.
- 5:40Speaker 2: And the queue poles were already in place at 9:45 a.m.
- 5:44Speaker 2: by the time the press here in Singapore showed up
- 5:46Speaker 2: to cover the opening of Yochi's second outlet. So please
- 5:50Speaker 2: go if you can and do allocate yourselves extra time
- 5:54Speaker 2: for queuing. Imagine this, you lose a $35,000 diamond solitaire ring.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I know it's very high in monetary value, but also
- 6:03Speaker 2: I'm very sure the personal value, the sentimental value would
- 6:08Speaker 2: be higher as well.
- 6:10Speaker 2: And this lady, unfortunately for her when taking a bus
- 6:13Speaker 2: to East Coast Park at night, maybe in the last
- 6:16Speaker 2: few days or weeks, she left it on board the bus.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Not too sure how the ring fell off her finger,
- 6:21Speaker 2: but there you go. For the bus driver, Mr. Teo
- 6:24Speaker 2: Lai Huat, what he usually does after every shift is
- 6:27Speaker 2: he would do a thorough check on board the bus
- 6:30Speaker 2: to make sure no one left anything behind. He saw
- 6:34Speaker 2: the diamond solitaire ring. He knows the value.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's almost $35,000. That's someone's yearly pay or that's someone's
- 6:41Speaker 2: like half a year pay, right? What does he do?
- 6:44Speaker 2: He turns it in immediately. He files a lost and
- 6:47Speaker 2: found report and little did you know, on the night itself,
- 6:51Speaker 2: the lady called in to the bus depot saying, oh no,
- 6:53Speaker 2: did anybody find my ring? I left it on board
- 6:55Speaker 2: this bus at this timing.
- 6:57Speaker 2: To her relief, it was found and it was returned
- 7:01Speaker 2: to her the next day.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And when she collected the ring, she burst into tears. Honestly,
- 7:06Speaker 2: if I were this lady, I would cry as well
- 7:08Speaker 2: because yes, not just the monetary value, but all the
- 7:11Speaker 2: sentimental value. I don't have to worry anymore. It's safe
- 7:14Speaker 2: in my arms and hopefully I'll never ever take it
- 7:16Speaker 2: off my finger again. So I would not be surprised
- 7:19Speaker 2: if Mr. Teo Laiho of SBS gets a plaque or
- 7:21Speaker 2: a cert or an article dedicated to himself over at
- 7:25Speaker 2: the SBS Transit Facebook page, but to Mr. Teo.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Thank you for doing the right thing and restoring all
- 7:30Speaker 2: our faith in humanity here in Singapore. And OK, some
- 7:34Speaker 2: trivia info coming your way. If the next time somebody
- 7:37Speaker 2: asks you, hey, where's the longest bridge in Malaysia? Say Sarawak,
- 7:42Speaker 2: The Batang Lupa Bridge, which connects the coastal towns of
- 7:46Speaker 2: Cebuya and Maluam, it's at 4.8 kilometers. So before this
- 7:51Speaker 2: bridge was officially opened,
- 7:52Speaker 2: People had to use ferry services to go back and
- 7:55Speaker 2: forth and go back to the mainland for festivals or
- 7:57Speaker 2: even family celebrations. But now with this bridge, it will
- 8:01Speaker 2: cut short traveling time massively. And to get you more familiar,
- 8:05Speaker 2: you know where Kuching is, right? Yeah, it's about a
- 8:08Speaker 2: 2 hour drive away before you get to Maluam National.
- 8:12Speaker 2: National Park. There you go. And for us here in Singapore,
- 8:16Speaker 2: if you're wondering what's the longest bridge we have, it's
- 8:19Speaker 2: actually Benjamin Shear's bridge, 1.8 kilometers long. Hopefully, this helps
- 8:25Speaker 2: you in some general knowledge or maybe pub quiz that
- 8:28Speaker 2: could be coming up for you anywhere here in Singapore.
