- 0:00Speaker 1: You know, you can probably empathize with this, you two can.
- 0:06Speaker 1: My alarm goes off at three o'clock in the morning,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and the first thing you want to do is is
- 0:13Speaker 1: turn it off as quickly as you can so that
- 0:15Speaker 1: it doesn't, you know, continue to bug your partner exactly.
- 0:20Speaker 1: My wife sleeps with some really high tech earplugs in
- 0:25Speaker 1: and usually it doesn't bother her, although sometimes you miss
- 0:29Speaker 1: the button the wrong way and it and then and
- 0:32Speaker 1: then so the button disappears from the touchscreen and the
- 0:37Speaker 1: phone just continues, you know, sound the alarm, and not
- 0:42Speaker 1: only does it sound an alarm, it flashes the flashlight.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Well, it's trying to wake you out.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm trying to get out of the room
- 0:49Speaker 1: as quickly as I can and turn it off in
- 0:52Speaker 1: the other room, in the dressing room. So that happened
- 0:55Speaker 1: this morning. And and you're just you're just kind of
- 0:59Speaker 1: in a daze when you get up at that early, right,
- 1:02Speaker 1: You're just things are just not working right. And which
- 1:07Speaker 1: is partially why I get up that early, because I see, yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I need to get things working right by the time
- 1:13Speaker 1: I sit down at six o'clock or here, and so
- 1:16Speaker 1: I get up really early and the first So the
- 1:18Speaker 1: next thing I usually do is I stumble into the
- 1:22Speaker 1: bathroom and lean over the sink on my elbows and
- 1:27Speaker 1: just lean there with my head hanging down for five minutes,
- 1:33Speaker 1: sometimes just you know, until I can bring myself to
- 1:37Speaker 1: them muttering. Sometimes sometimes you know, it's like and then
- 1:43Speaker 1: so finally you get up the enough energy and you say, okay,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I got to start doing things, and you know, go
- 1:50Speaker 1: to the bathroom or shave or whatever you have to
- 1:53Speaker 1: do first. And and so so this morning battle arm
- 1:58Speaker 1: problem and then I stagger into the bathroom to lean
- 2:03Speaker 1: over the sink, and every single thing that was in
- 2:08Speaker 1: a drawer in the bathroom is now sitting all over
- 2:13Speaker 1: the counters, all over the edge of the tub, some
- 2:17Speaker 1: of it, some of it's on the floor. And I
- 2:21Speaker 1: just went, yeah, the drawers. So so there's a top
- 2:24Speaker 1: drawer that my kids use, They have their stuff in it,
- 2:26Speaker 1: the middle drawer I have all my stuff in it,
- 2:28Speaker 1: bottom drawer of my wife has her stuff in it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Everything is out of the drawers and sitting on every
- 2:33Speaker 1: surface in the room.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Where's Bill gonna mutter?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Just I just kind of went, what what is it
- 2:41Speaker 1: I have? I have? And I still don't know.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I've left the house and couldn't talk to anybody about
- 2:46Speaker 2: what happened.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I have my suspicions that there was somehow a water
- 2:52Speaker 1: leak into the drawers or something, but I don't know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But I could, but I couldn't. I could barely find
- 2:59Speaker 1: a place to get to the sink so that I
- 3:02Speaker 1: could brush my teeth and you know, wash my face
- 3:04Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But it was just so you left everything out.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean because and it's really it's it
- 3:12Speaker 1: was just weird to see though. Imagine my confusion. Although
- 3:18Speaker 1: I have to say it woke me up. Sure I went.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I didn't have to hang my head over the edge
- 3:24Speaker 1: of the sink and and mutter for five minutes. I
- 3:27Speaker 1: just went, what what the hell happened here? So that's wild,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I guess. I guess I'll find out soon enough. But
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's yeah, it's it's getting up at three o'clock in
- 3:41Speaker 1: the morning and coming into work. It's stupid. It's not natural,
- 3:45Speaker 1: it's not healthy. It's not a good thing to do.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And we've been doing it for a long time. Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's really but now you go to bed early.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I go to bed.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I am not a good system.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Well, and I thank Sue for that. She's the one
- 4:00Speaker 2: who really, uh you know, did did that whole thing
- 4:06Speaker 2: for me. Now, you've got to be in bed by
- 4:09Speaker 2: six thirty and it's sleep by seven.
- 4:11Speaker 1: That's all there is thing you get how many hours?
- 4:13Speaker 1: I get eight?
- 4:14Speaker 2: But even then getting up at three it's always hard.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We'll mess up the rest of your day, it just will.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And and you know, we're not heavy lifting or anything
- 4:25Speaker 2: like that, but mentally we're heavy lifting.
- 4:28Speaker 1: This four hours. This four hours is actually quite quite difficult.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I mean it's pretty yeah, I know, it doesn't seem
- 4:34Speaker 1: like it.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I mean most morning shows go three and.
- 4:36Speaker 1: They play music, Yeah, a lot of music. I think
- 4:40Speaker 1: there's a there's a show in the in this building
- 4:42Speaker 1: that plays an hour of music. Yes, and they in
- 4:44Speaker 1: the middle of their show. Yeah, so they don't do anything, Yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 1: except look at their navels. No, No, I don't know.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I don't want to look at my navel.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Oh. I don't want to look at mine either, not
- 4:55Speaker 1: after that surgery.
- 4:56Speaker 2: O god, Katy says, remember when we did five hours
- 5:00Speaker 2: during COVID.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah we did. We did do that, didn't we?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Why did we do that we took a pay cut
- 5:07Speaker 2: and and an extra hour.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Don't I forgot we did that.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yes, not only did we do this four months, almost
- 5:17Speaker 3: seven months, I think, or so. Everybody's working from home.
- 5:21Speaker 3: I'm here running the board and I have two interns
- 5:23Speaker 3: running the producer's stuff. It was COVID was a disaster
- 5:27Speaker 3: for all of us. But that was outrageous when they ended.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I will never forget.
- 5:33Speaker 1: What did we go to eleven?
- 5:34Speaker 3: We went to eleven and we had to figure out
- 5:37Speaker 3: I remember now we want to add and everything? And
- 5:39Speaker 3: how did change that because management?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Because we were asked to do that.
- 5:45Speaker 3: And we took a pay cut.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yeah, hey we're stupid.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yes, we're stupid, and we did a lot.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Seven months, we did that.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Something like that. I have record of it. I just
- 5:56Speaker 3: need to go back through my things I have. I
- 5:59Speaker 3: have everypial since twenty nineteen.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess. Yeah, I remember when ten o'clock would
- 6:04Speaker 1: I do remember it now because I remember when ten
- 6:06Speaker 1: o'clock would roll around and I think, what am what
- 6:09Speaker 1: am I going to do for another hour?
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I just thought i'd remind you guys stupid good memories.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah,
