- 0:04This production is brought to you by the Recess Bella. So let's all go
- 0:09to the lobby to get ourselves a treat. Let's all go to the lobby
- 0:18to get ourselves a treat. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening,
- 0:26good night. I don't know when you're listening to this, but this is
- 0:29film real and I want to talk about something that needs to be talked about,
- 0:34and that is food. As a former fat guy, I love food
- 0:39even to this day. But what is the best food to eat while watching
- 0:45a movie? This is important, This is very important. I think when
- 0:50you're seeing a movie in theaters, it's a necessity to have something to eat.
- 0:56For me, I need something that's gonna last a long time. Especially
- 1:00these movies these days. You know they're they're all over two hours long.
- 1:03I don't want to have something that's done with by the time the previews are
- 1:07over with. So you can't get a hot food unless you time it out
- 1:11perfectly and you enter the theater as soon as the movie's about to start.
- 1:15Having something like a pizza Na Joe's pretzel. It sounds nice, it's delicious,
- 1:22but to me, it's not long lasting. You're done with that,
- 1:23especially me. I'm a very fast eater. I'm done with that shit in
- 1:26four minutes, five minutes top, So then you're just stuck the next you
- 1:30know, one hundred and twenty minutes with nothing, just twiddle in your thumb.
- 1:36So you need something. That's why popcorn is great because you could munch
- 1:38on it, it's long lasting, you have a few bite tier, you
- 1:42put it to the side, you have some more later on. And although
- 1:46it is a hot food at first, it's not awful once it's cool down.
- 1:49But is there something better than popcorn? I don't know. That's why
- 1:53I want to explore on this additional film real I think you know, we've
- 1:57done a lot of movie reviews, but there's more to the movie. There's
- 2:00the ambiance, there's the setting. Do you want to have something that's crinkling?
- 2:04You know? I hate hearing like throughout the movie, and I'm always
- 2:08self conscious that people are hearing this, And I'm also self conscious that people
- 2:13are hearing so I always pre open any candy I'm having. I think everybody
- 2:21needs to have this etiquette when watching a movie in theaters, pre open your
- 2:25candy, or if you're going to eat your candy and open it, or
- 2:30if you're gonna chew loud, do it during an action sequence. Nobody wants
- 2:34to see one of your favorite characters dying from non Hodgkins lymphoma and then you
- 2:38just hear, oh, I have cancer, Like, come on, be
- 2:49better. We don't need any of that nonsense. I just crumpled up a
- 2:53random sheet of paper. I don't know if that's important or not, but
- 2:54that's besides the point. So boob, you need proper etiquette as far as
- 3:00their proper eticate goes. If you're taking in food from the outside, which
- 3:04isn't illegal. I mean, I worked at a movie theater for years.
- 3:07I was told that we cannot legally stop somebody from bringing in food. It's
- 3:13sort of like a company policy to tell them not to do it. But
- 3:16you cannot physically stop somebody from bringing in food. But if you are going
- 3:21to bring food in from the outside, please don't make it disgusting. Nobody
- 3:24wants to smell tuna fish while watching a movie. They just don't do that
- 3:30at your house. So if you bring outside food, make sure it doesn't
- 3:34smell like shit. So what is my personal go to food? If I
- 3:38want a candy, I like to go to the seven to eleven prior to
- 3:43the showtime, and I like to get something healthy. I'm a healthy boy.
- 3:46These days, I get like a bag of mixed nuts or you know,
- 3:50chocolate covered almonds. I know that's not the most healthy thing, but
- 3:53you know, you get some dark chocolate some nuts. There should be healthy
- 3:57options at these theaters. I know you go to the theater to veg out,
- 4:00but there should be an option to have something a little healthier. There's
- 4:04none, So I usually get something like I said, you know, the
- 4:08mixed nuts. And then I like to get a popcorn because you can't go
- 4:12to the movies without a popcorn, and which you could do with popcorn and
- 4:15chocolate. And this is something I never did as a kid, but I
- 4:18remember seeing people doing that. You can mix your chocolate treat, whether it's
- 4:23the mixed nuts or Eminem's peanut Eminems. If I'm feeling fat, I'm gonna
- 4:27get that or bunch of crunch. You mix that with the popcorn so it
- 4:30sort of milts. You get milts, that's not a word, It melts,
- 4:33and you get this mix of a salty and a sweet treat. Really
- 4:39really good. Another top tier candy for me is chocolate cover raisins, whether
- 4:45it's raisin nuts or just a standard other brand offshoot brand of chocolate cover raisins,
- 4:49I feel like it's healthier because you have raisins involved with it. If
- 4:54I am going the sour route, there's the two that jump to mind,
- 4:58just your standard sour patch kids, but even better than that, the sour
- 5:01patch watermelons. Unbelievable. And I feel like a lot of these snacks you
- 5:06don't see anywhere else besides the theater, at least I know, I personally
- 5:11don't buy any of these things outside of the movie theater. I try and
- 5:15be healthy in the normal world, but when you enter the fantasy world of
- 5:18a movie theater, you know you can take a break from your diet.
- 5:21You can indulge from time to time. So that's what I like to do.
- 5:26I don't mind. I know, I said earlier some of those hot
- 5:29foods they go buy too quick, but they are delicious. I mean not
- 5:32Joe's and cheese, Pretzels and cheese really good. But again, I feel
- 5:38like I just in gorge. Is that a word in gorge? In golf?
- 5:45In golf, that's the word I'm looking for, Like Kirby from the
- 5:47video game. I just I'm sucking it down pause. So as much as
- 5:54I like it, I know it's not going to last. But you know,
- 5:57I've gone and gotten the you know, the pret in the nachos from
- 6:01time to time. But a big issue I have with getting those products that
- 6:04you dip in cheese. You never know how much cheese you have left because
- 6:10there's no light, so you just dip in and then you might end up
- 6:13with no cheese and then you're just eating those last chips without cheese, which
- 6:16you can't do that, or you have way too much cheese and you were
- 6:19just rationing poorly. So there needs to be a mini light, I think
- 6:24attached to the cheese. Maybe a glowing cheese. Can we have glowing anybody
- 6:29that's listening out there, take it. I'm not even patent pending, it's
- 6:33not copywritten. Take it glowing cheese. Now, your shit might end up
- 6:38glowing after it, but that's a price that you're gonna have to pay for
- 6:42having the proper ratio of cheese on your nachos and your pretzels. As far
- 6:47as drinks go in my bladder, my bladder is not good these days.
- 6:51I'm an old man and having a small drake. The small is gigantic.
- 6:58I know that that's such a cliche thing. You go to the theater and
- 7:01you always hear that's a small. As someone who worked at a theater,
- 7:04you would constantly hear that, But it's true. The small is so big.
- 7:10So I gotta usually bring in an outside drink because I can't get the
- 7:16soda. Soda goes right through me. Maybe I'll bring in a water,
- 7:20maybe a gatorade. I don't feel like paying the prices because they sell gatorades
- 7:25and waters at these theaters, but might as well just go to the seven
- 7:28to eleven, pick up your drink by the bang, by the boom,
- 7:30go to the theater, bring it in. But now now they're serving alcohol
- 7:36in a lot of these theaters on Long Island in particular. I don't know
- 7:40about other states, not that Long Island's a state, it's not. But
- 7:44I don't know if other states other than New York, I'm sure there are.
- 7:46I would imagine Florida has lots of movie theaters with alcohol in it.
- 7:51But soda goes right through me. Booze goes through me even quicker, so
- 7:56I couldn't imagine drinking some beers, and what would the prices be for a
- 8:00beer. I haven't bought a beer at a movie theater, but I'm assuming
- 8:03it's got to be close to what you pay for at a baseball game.
- 8:07So it's gonna be expensive. You're gonna be missing a lot of the movie.
- 8:09You need to time it out properly when you need to pay. That's
- 8:13also key. There's a website actually you can look up when the best time
- 8:16to use the bathroom is at the theater. Which brings me to another idea
- 8:20I had now. I used to work at a movie theater, as I've
- 8:24mentioned, and the projection booth is a very large room because old movie theaters
- 8:31used to use giant film reels. I mean, these things weren't gigantic.
- 8:35Nowadays, all the movies are loaded in on these little flash drives. So
- 8:39these rooms haven't been changed, but they still have the space there. What
- 8:45can we do with that space? Make it a bathroom? You just walk
- 8:50up the stairs. You'll have to do some construction, but you just walk
- 8:52up there. You could sound proof it. You can have one of those
- 8:56one way mirror type things, so you know people can't see you take your
- 9:00shit or your piss, but you should be able to watch the movie while
- 9:03taking a piss or taking a shit in the projection booth area. Imagine this
- 9:09is Heaven on Earth for me. Imax three d Avatar taking a shit while
- 9:16watching it. Heaven on Earth, Heaven on Earth movie theaters. If you're
- 9:20listening again, take the idea. It's not copywriting, but I want to
- 9:26shit while watching my movie. Then you could even bring a snack in there.
- 9:31Kill two Birds with One Stone by the bing boy, the boom.
- 9:33You're shitting, you're eating, you're watching your movie. That's Heaven on Earth.
- 9:37So yeah, that was pretty much today's episode of film. Really just
- 9:41want to talk about eating and shitting and pissing, and we'll get back to
- 9:46some movie reviews. But there's more to the movies than just the movies.
- 9:52There's the whole experience, and I think talking about the ambiance and the setting
- 9:56and the food and all that nonsense needed to be talked about. But we're
- 10:01getting to we'll get into some more movie talk next week. We also want
- 10:05to talk about some of my experiences at the theater, and we'll talk about
- 10:09we got so much, we got to talk about movie posters, movie trailers.
- 10:11We got lists, we got reviews, We're gonna have more guests on
- 10:16film. Reil is here to stay and I'm excited to see what the future
- 10:18brings. So long, everybody,
