🚨 What's NEXT For SILVER & GOLD PRICE 🚨 Peter Grandich Called THIS! · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

• 0:00
But I really think gold is ready for the next leg up and and
• 0:03
here's why. Today we have a special guest.
• 0:09
We're in unfortunate circumstances in our world, an
• 0:13
assassination attempt on a presidential candidate.
• 0:16
There's a lot going on. Peter Grandich talked about
• 0:20
prospects for unusual circumstances in the upcoming
• 0:24
election in in previous interviews that I had conducted
• 0:28
with him. Peter, I'm so happy you've
• 0:31
agreed to come on today to kind of give us your insight into
• 0:34
what's going on under these unfortunate circumstances.
• 0:38
I would like to welcome you to Ron's basement.
• 0:40
Well, in normal times, I would say, Ronnie, I'd be real glad.
• 0:44
I can't wait to take that guy's blinders off and all that stuff.
• 0:48
But you're right, it's a very serious time.
• 0:50
Today is been a day of reflection for me in prayer.
• 0:53
But when you you know, for you, I'd be glad to talk anytime,
• 0:57
anywhere you want to. You're a very straight shooter,
• 0:59
Ronnie. I know you live and breathe
• 1:01
this. This is out of love.
• 1:03
The money is secondary or third. And it is a really crossroads.
• 1:07
And and I guess to start off based on what you said was
• 1:10
you're right in earlier parts of this year, I spoke in your
• 1:14
interviews and others and in my own work that not only was there
• 1:18
political paralysis, not only was politics and social and
• 1:22
economic, Eric, are making this the worst era possible.
• 1:25
But I actually spoke about the possibilities as early as
• 1:28
beginning of the year that one or both party leaders who were
• 1:33
expected to be the nomination may not end up being there
• 1:37
Election Day. Now, for Biden, I made that
• 1:39
based on health reasons, which obviously have moved to the
• 1:43
forefront only in recent weeks. But with Trump, I spoke mainly
• 1:48
about legal, but I did point out to people that there's such a
• 1:52
this hatred for him and it's there for the record, what I
• 1:55
said that I would not put it past them thinking that they'd
• 1:58
have to kill him if there was no other choice, not even thinking
• 2:02
that that's actually something that was going to happen.
• 2:04
But it was a, a realistic possibility.
• 2:08
And we now seen this hatred even after this act where the
• 2:12
compassion of humanists should take over, at least temporarily.
• 2:17
  We're watching people saying that.
• 2:18
Why did I miss? I mean, that that that gives you
• 2:21
an idea of how much hatred was there.
• 2:24
And Ronnie, and I know you got some questions.
• 2:26
That hatred's not going away. That hatred is just an
• 2:29
indication of when you take away the shield, this thin shield
• 2:32
that's been there, of what the opposition feels and how this
• 2:37
country's become so divided. You know, when I've said this, I
• 2:41
said we're as divided now as we were before we began our civil
• 2:45
war. And I think it's more and more
• 2:47
evident now based on the last things that have happened in
• 2:49
this last week. And I'm sorry that we have to
• 2:52
have this discussion, Ronnie. I really wish we didn't have to
• 2:56
have this discussion. I wish I could be saying I was
• 2:58
wrong. Everything worked out right, but
• 3:01
I'm afraid this is just the beginning of something, not the
• 3:04
end of something. Yeah, That would be my next
• 3:06
question for you, Peter. You know, as we as we moved into
• 3:09
2024, a lot of people were predicting that it could be a
• 3:13
really crazy year on many different fronts, financial
• 3:17
crisis, geopolitical crisis. And of course, with the election
• 3:21
coming up in the first six months of the year, we're
• 3:24
relatively calm now as we're heading into the second-half of
• 3:28
2024. We don't want to be doomsayers,
• 3:32
But oh, my gosh. I mean, when I, when I let it
• 3:35
sink in that there was an assassination attempt yesterday,
• 3:39
I mean, it doesn't even feel real.
• 3:41
I'm, I, I hate to use the word in shock, but I feel like I'm
• 3:44
still kind of in a bit of shock that this is all actually going
• 3:48
on in this country. And what does the next six
• 3:52
months? I mean, it was already crazy
• 3:54
enough yesterday afternoon at 2:00 in the afternoon before
• 3:57
this happened. Things felt like they were out
• 4:00
of control. Do you, do you see?
• 4:03
I mean, do do you think that in the next six months we could
• 4:05
even see more potential turmoil? If you're looking to buy gold,
• 4:09
silver or platinum, do yourself a favor and check out Pimbex,
• 4:14
the online precious metals bullion dealer and sponsor of
• 4:18
Ron's Basement. I was a happy customer before
• 4:21
they offered to support the channel.
• 4:23
You'll find they have the best prices, quality and service.
• 4:28
I think Pembex is best and you will too.
• 4:31
And be sure to tell him that you're from Ron's basement.
• 4:34
I think the turmoil will come from a lot of fronts.
• 4:36
So let let's just try to digress it in the few minutes that we
• 4:38
have. First, in terms of the markets,
• 4:43
you and I were not the only ones that have been saying this.
• 4:45
We've been saying it for weeks, if not months.
• 4:47
The level of complacency on Wall Street, given all the factors
• 4:53
even before the big ones, the the, the fiasco of the debate
• 4:57
and the follow up press conference and also now this
• 5:00
attempted assassination on, on, on Donald Trump.
• 5:04
Given all of that, it's still basically it's nothing to really
• 5:11
worry about from from what I call the don't worry, be happy
• 5:14
crowd. It it's not going to play a
• 5:16
role. It's not going to play a role.
• 5:20
We're we're clearly seeing now think about this.
• 5:23
Let's just just before the Trump assassination, let's just make
• 5:26
like we were having this interview before we know of
• 5:28
this. I would have said to you, well,
• 5:30
listen, it's clear and evident that they don't want to see
• 5:34
Biden because they don't think he can beat Trump.
• 5:37
And there's certain people that hate him so much that they'll do
• 5:40
anything to see him not win again.
• 5:44
That was, I think it's abundantly clear to people now
• 5:47
that rightfully or wrong for that thought that people had,
• 5:51
they did everything to this man now, including trying to kill
• 5:55
him. That's on the table now that
• 5:58
just that's, there's nothing really else what could be said
• 6:00
and all. And to think that that's just
• 6:03
going to stop or that just you're going to say, oh, Gee,
• 6:06
you know, we were really wrong. OK, let's live happily ever
• 6:09
  after. I think that's a that's a force
• 6:11
to to fall into. So there's no question this is
• 6:15
going to happen. And now what do you do for those
• 6:17
people that were just before this happening thinking, well,
• 6:20
can we slide Biden out? Can he step down or can he can
• 6:23
he announce, be willing to let somebody else take over all
• 6:27
that? I think it's a lost cause no
• 6:30
matter what. If, if, if their goal was and if
• 6:33
people were not going to conspire out there and say this
• 6:36
was all planned, it's part of the deep state.
• 6:38
They wanted to see him done. Well, if that was their plan,
• 6:40
they really blew it. Because here's what's going to
• 6:43
happen. Not only are you re fortifying
• 6:45
everybody that was already bullish for Trump, you're going
• 6:49
to get a lot of fence sitters and maybe people like me that,
• 6:52
you know, I like what he thinks, but I can't stand the way he
• 6:55
  speaks or carries himself. Whatever.
• 6:58
Do you think those people are going to move towards him?
• 7:01
  I, I, I think it's clear and evident.
• 7:03
And, and that opens the door to, you know, if does he make it,
• 7:06
you know, since he's sworn in. I mean, all these thoughts that
• 7:09
weren't going to be present a week ago are going to be there
• 7:12
now. And let me add one other thing
• 7:13
because it ties into what we're really but you and I try to do
• 7:17
each day. From the investment side of
• 7:19
things, the VIX in the stock market has gotten so low almost
• 7:24
to record lows. If you want to know about
• 7:26
complacency, just look at the VIX.
• 7:29
At a time when I can make an argument politically here,
• 7:33
politically abroad, economically here, economic abroad,
• 7:37
immigration, all sorts of issues happening in the Middle East
• 7:40
getting where all these type of things.
• 7:43
And guess what? What has managed to perform, but
• 7:48
it's always supposed to do during periods of this gold and
• 7:52
silver. I I hate to use adversity or
• 7:56
harm or this poor man that was killed innocently and all, but
• 8:00
this type of actions are only beneficial for physical metals.
• 8:06
Yeah, I know. I say the same thing.
• 8:09
Like we don't like what's going on.
• 8:11
I don't like it at all, but I have to accept that that's
• 8:15
what's going on in the world. And I also, as I, as I accept
• 8:18
that, want to look at that through the lens of that.
• 8:22
My investments in silver or gold are how I choose to protect
• 8:26
myself and protect my family. And, and when you look at
• 8:30
everything that's happening right now, I still, I go back to
• 8:33
yesterday afternoon before the attempted assassination attempt,
• 8:37
things were already crazy. And I, and I like what you say
• 8:40
as well, Peter, about the VIX, 'cause I follow the VIX very
• 8:43
closely. And I was, I've been looking at
• 8:45
it all last week. I'm like, I can't believe that
• 8:47
the VIX is at what, 1211 and a half, 1212 1/2.
• 8:51
And for our viewers who don't understand, that's a kind of a a
• 8:54
measure of the volatility and it's the volatility index with a
• 8:59
measure of the risk in the market of the perceived, a
• 9:02
perception of what future risk may be.
• 9:04
And it's at all time lows. It is like everybody's asleep.
• 9:08
Like the, I love the way what you say, the don't worry, be
• 9:10
happy crowd. Like the stock market's at
• 9:12
record highs, You know, real residential real estate's at
• 9:15
  record highs. Everything's great.
• 9:17
But I would make the argument that everything's really not
• 9:19
  great out there. Yeah.
• 9:21
And you know, Ron, the after the fact, the Monday morning
• 9:25
quarterback, that's what they'll look back and go, well, we
• 9:28
should have known when the VIX was that low and this was like
• 9:31
that and this was like that and all.
• 9:33
And I I wanted to a couple things before we get lost,
• 9:36
because I just think it's going to get even more crazier this
• 9:39
week. A man named Vince Landy came out
• 9:42
with a wonderful story this past week and it and and it's been
• 9:45
backed up with authoritative journalist reporting that
• 9:52
basically in Asia, it looks like JP Morgan, but clearly one or
• 9:58
more huge banks have really gotten themselves into a bad
• 10:02
situation against someone that's absolutely now controlling both
• 10:06
the gold and silver market in Asia.
• 10:10
And I'm going to tell you that when you see these stories that
• 10:14
ran again a week ago, Oh, China's not buying anymore.
• 10:17
Down one day, $35, two days later, goals higher than where
• 10:21
where it first fell from. Same thing, silver.
• 10:25
Now people like came into the weekend going, ah, silver's only
• 10:28
  30 1/2. Hello.
• 10:30
It couldn't even get over 36 or nine months ago.
• 10:33
And we were all depressed about that.
• 10:35
These metals are primed and ready.
• 10:38
And what got me really excited and something I did Friday, I
• 10:41
didn't even think of bringing this up, but I might as well.
• 10:44
I was ready to short the stock market when it got above Dow
• 10:47
40,000. You know that I've spoken.
• 10:49
About that, yes. But the shares have become so
• 10:52
attractive now, and I'm even talking about the juniors that I
• 10:55
announced on Friday while trading was going on that I was
• 10:58
taking that money that I was going to short and put it into
• 11:02
my junior resource stocks. I just think and listen, I'm not
• 11:06
  talking about 9:30 tomorrow morning.
• 11:09
Everything takes off. But what I'm just saying now is
• 11:12
bad as this news is, and it's bad and it's going to get worse,
• 11:17
These are extremely bullish developments for those who have
• 11:21
an interest in physical bullion. And if you're more of a much
• 11:25
more speculator than the mining and exploration companies that
• 11:29
look for them. This is just playing into what I
• 11:32
have called a mega bull market that's not even halfway done
• 11:35
  yet. Yeah.
• 11:36
Yeah, you, you interviewed Tavi Kosta not too long ago, correct?
• 11:41
Yeah, he, he had a great tweet out this weekend where he had
• 11:44
six charts that showed, well, five of the six charts showed
• 11:48
just how crazy undervalued the precious metal mining stocks
• 11:53
are. I want to ask you a question,
• 11:54
Peter, 'cause you, you mentioned China with gold and China with
• 11:57
silver. It's kind of, you know, common
• 12:01
accepted knowledge right now that that that the gold price
• 12:04
and I would think even silver for that matter as well, had
• 12:06
really benefited from major buying in the East.
• 12:11
Whereas in the United States there's been ETF outflows.
• 12:14
And you and I both know very little interest in the mining
• 12:18
shares, whether the juniors and even up to the majors.
• 12:22
Do you think at some point here, like Wall Street in particular,
• 12:27
won't be able to ignore the the the amount of profits that the
• 12:32
mining stocks are making and then that that could flow
• 12:35
through in the West to both the junior mining stocks, some
• 12:39
interest coming back to the junior mining stocks and even to
• 12:42
the actual metals themself? Because it's we've been absent
• 12:45
from this, that mean this, this rally.
• 12:47
Well, I think those of us that own a lot of juniors, which I
• 12:51
think you and I fall into that camp, yeah, we lost sight of how
• 12:55
well the majors have actually done these last few months.
• 12:58
Unlike the juniors that had given up much of the gains that
• 13:01
they made early in the year until the last few days, the
• 13:04
majors didn't. Many of the majors are trading
• 13:07
that new 52 week highs and think about this, they're looking at a
• 13:12
a gold price up several $100 from a year ago.
• 13:16
Their earnings are just going to end their free cash flow.
• 13:19
And I really think this M&A that we've seen somewhat, we saw some
• 13:24
talk over the weekend of about Rio Tinto getting together with
• 13:29
another group to to possibly buy tech.
• 13:31
I just think once it kicks off, it's just going to flow in.
• 13:34
But what I really liked in the last three days Ron is volume
• 13:39
returned back to the juniors, not necessarily they were
• 13:42
driving them up, but now stocks that were trading 50,100
• 13:46
thousand a day dripping down a few cents, you know 10,000
• 13:50
shares in next day suddenly they're trading a half million
• 13:53
or a million shares. And while they may have not
• 13:56
bolted up, that is demonstrated buyers interest is return and
• 14:01
volume especially in the juniors always precedes price.
• 14:06
And since in a long decline and volumes returning now it's a
• 14:10
strong suggestion that there's a turn happening as we speak as.
• 14:15
We speak, Yeah, Yeah. I mean, I just get so passionate
• 14:18
about this idea that, you know, everybody talks about, well,
• 14:21
  gold's $2400, silver's at $30.00 and that's awesome.
• 14:25
But that it has done that in the face of not favorable
• 14:30
circumstances. I mean, I'm gonna repeat myself,
• 14:32
but you know, the West, the, the, the United States, the West
• 14:35
just has not participated. And that when we do participate
• 14:41
that that the opportunity is there.
• 14:44
I mean, just, it's such a small market that the opportunity is
• 14:47
there for real outsized returns like gold and silver have done
• 14:50
well thanks to China and India and the BRICS countries and the
• 14:54
central banks and you know, industrial demand for silver,
• 14:57
but not really thanks to what's going on in the West.
• 15:00
And that we have such a big opportunity and that the metals
• 15:03
in the mining stocks have such a big opportunity and that they
• 15:06
could feed off each other that when people start to come back
• 15:08
to the mining stocks in the West, maybe then, oh, maybe I'll
• 15:11
take a look at physical silver and gold as well.
• 15:13
  I don't know. I'm I'm very optimistic still at
• 15:16
this point. Well, I, I think you have reason
• 15:19
to be now. I really do.
• 15:20
Listen, I'll put it to you this way and, and I'll be noting it
• 15:23
tomorrow to my own followers and all.
• 15:26
I took my position out of cash that I'd be keeping on the side
• 15:32
to buy more mining shares last week, and I'm preparing to do
• 15:36
that again with even more cash on Monday morning.
• 15:41
OK, so I am Tooting my own on I'm I'm speaking my own book,
• 15:45
whatever you want to call it. But the bottom line is I really,
• 15:48
really think and to tell you the truth, Ronnie, if you ask me for
• 15:52
the life of my daughter to find me another second where a sector
• 15:55
across the board where I can find undervalued in this can do
• 15:59
that's that's the only one. And, you know, I just think that
• 16:03
we're really, really, we're coming for your buddies there
• 16:07
now, Sir. I like to joke about it, but I I
• 16:10
I would not be surprised, Ron, all honesty, that before the
• 16:14
leaves start coming off the trees, your buddy there is
• 16:17
losing his blindness. I mean, I really, really do.
• 16:20
In terms of gold, I think silver has a way to go to get to 85.
• 16:23
  I presume that's an 85. Yeah.
• 16:25
  It's 85. Yeah, Yeah.
• 16:27
OK. But if it had a, if it had a 45
• 16:30
on it and we could see that, but fairly soon.
• 16:32
But I really think gold is ready for the next leg up.
• 16:35
And and here's why there's a lot of talk coming out from good
• 16:40
sources now that the bricks are preparing in these fall meetings
• 16:45
to disclose something more than just a whisper of how they
• 16:49
intend to use gold in some way or form.
• 16:52
As this brick moves closer and closer and becomes more viable,
• 16:57
etcetera, etcetera. That's going to be the trigger
• 17:00
to bring the Weston. That's going to be when big
• 17:02
institutions are going to turn to their don't worry, be happy
• 17:05
leaders and go, hey, I'm reading all this.
• 17:08
How come we don't own any goal? And that's where it's that's
• 17:11
where the shop runs. That what we're going to have to
• 17:13
recognize then you and I and others like you and I who've
• 17:16
been suffering for two years or whatever, that if these things
• 17:20
do get crazy, on the upside, we're going to have to take some
• 17:24
  profits. Even though finally we're
• 17:26
hearing all these people talking about something, but we're not
• 17:30
there yet. But I really, really, truly,
• 17:32
Ron, it's terrible that an incident like this has to
• 17:35
fortify my position. But I really, really think it's
• 17:39
all all, all green for gold and silver.
• 17:45
And you know that I was never a silver bug.
• 17:48
They used to beat me up when I used to say it was like kissing
• 17:50
your sister. OK, but that's gone now.
• 17:53
It's like kissing a very attractive woman, the same as
• 17:56
gold. And I, I really think forgetting
• 17:58
what may happen tomorrow over the coming weeks and all we're
• 18:03
going to see this, this next leg up in the metals followed with
• 18:08
the shares and especially the junior resource market now.
• 18:12
Yeah, yeah. Well, we will be, we, we will be
• 18:16
optimistically watching to see how that all unfolds.
• 18:19
Peter, thank you for coming on here.
• 18:21
It's a Sunday afternoon. I'm going to get this out for my
• 18:24
channel later today so people can hear from you kind of your
• 18:28
latest thoughts on what's transpired over the weekend.

Is there anything that I forgot to ask you about?
• 18:33
Anything else you want to talk about before?
• 18:35
I want to say something to your channel, if it's OK.
• 18:37
Yeah, I want to tell you folks that Ron is the same off the mic
• 18:42
as is on the mic. He writes to me about how am I
• 18:46
doing? We each have issues that we find
• 18:49
we speak a lot. You're caring.
• 18:52
I think your listeners should know that by now.
• 18:54
But in case they don't, you really, really, really got a big
• 18:58
heart, my friend. I really want to tell you that,
• 19:01
and not just because here we are Sunday afternoon speaking at
• 19:03
all. I know how much you can, and I
• 19:05
really believe you're going to be vindicated now, because I
• 19:08
know you've been a big believer in silver and things related to
• 19:12
silver. And if anybody knows me, they
• 19:14
know that I was never that way. I was never a silver bug.
• 19:17
But I really think you're gonna do really, really well, Ron.
• 19:19
And you know what? It'd be good.
• 19:20
Be good to see one of the good guys do good for a chain.
• 19:24
Wow, coming from you Peter, that means everything because we
• 19:28
could make it a mutual admiration society.
• 19:30
But I, you know, I think the world of you.
• 19:32
And just so my viewers know, Peter Granich was my first big
• 19:35
name interview ever in Ron's basement and in my book, still
• 19:41
my biggest name interview. So Peter, thank you there that I
• 19:44
really appreciate those words that, you know, to me, that's
• 19:48
the biggest compliment that a person can get.
• 19:51
I say that about my wife Susie, actually, I tell people that all
• 19:53
the time, like she's the same outside the house that she is
• 19:57
inside the house. It's the same person.
• 20:00
And, and I mean that it's a huge compliment, right, that you know
• 20:03
people. That we treat each other with,
• 20:07
with respect and and care. And so I don't know what else to
• 20:11
  say, but wow. Thanks Peter.
• 20:12
You touched me and I'll look forward to seeing you again
• 20:15
soon. I'm coming for you, buddy.
• 20:18
There I'm coming for. You see you, Peter.
• 20:20
Thank you. God bless you, Ronnie.
• 20:22
  God bless.
