- 0:00Speaker 1: One of my favorite movies is You've Got Mail. I
- 0:02Speaker 1: love that movie. I've seen it many, many times. Although
- 0:06Speaker 1: when I rewatched it a couple of years ago for
- 0:09Speaker 1: the first time in a while, my husband's like, these
- 0:11Speaker 1: two people are terrible. They're both in relationships, and now
- 0:13Speaker 1: I was like, you have a point, and I don't
- 0:16Speaker 1: know why I forgive it when it's Joe Fox and
- 0:18Speaker 1: Kathleen Kelly. Hey, everyone, welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a

- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm excited or you're not hyped about it? No, I'm
- 1:48Speaker 1: super excited. And the format of those episodes is going.
- 1:51Speaker 2: To be movie reviews. I don't know what's the worm.
- 1:56Speaker 3: What I want to mean.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We will still be continuing our reviews of older fan
- 2:01Speaker 1: favorite movies. We have conducted a poll in our Facebook
- 2:04Speaker 1: group as wells on Instagram asking people for the movies
- 2:07Speaker 1: they want to see. And it's a fall theme we've
- 2:10Speaker 1: got going on.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yes, So from September through the end of October, we'll
- 2:15Speaker 2: be reviewing fan favorite fall Hallmark movies and those will
- 2:20Speaker 2: drop on Tuesdays and then on Thursdays you'll get a
- 2:26Speaker 2: review of Hallmark's newest movie. That's right, I'm really excited
- 2:32Speaker 2: me too. I'm the fans have been asking they want
- 2:36Speaker 2: more Girls Gone Hallmark, what are we to do?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Plus well received this summer, so we're excited to bring
- 2:44Speaker 1: you more of the movies you love.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yes, yes, all right, So let's talk about Bottled with Love.
- 2:52Speaker 2: From what I understand, this is a fan favorite movie
- 2:55Speaker 2: as well.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Mm hmmm.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Do you want to hear synopsis?
- 2:58Speaker 1: I do.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It's pretty short. After being stood up, Abby gets inspired
- 3:02Speaker 2: to open her heart in a letter, put it in
- 3:05Speaker 2: a bottle, and toss it out to the sea. Months later,
- 3:09Speaker 2: a man fishing discovers it and opts to reach out.
- 3:13Speaker 3: That's it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It's so funny to me because I pulled this one
- 3:16Speaker 2: off of IMDb, and whoever puts these into IMDb, like
- 3:21Speaker 2: it's always like a summary of like what the movie is,
- 3:24Speaker 2: like a very short summary. If I read this, though,
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'd be like nh nh oh.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, I agree the synopsis. Doesn't you gotta sell
- 3:35Speaker 1: me on it? Correct, sell it to me. Let's talk
- 3:39Speaker 1: news and notes, Let's do it. This movie first.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Premiered on April thirteenth, twenty nineteen, and it was part
- 3:45Speaker 2: of the channel's Spring Fever.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Oh Spring Fever. Yeah, pre Spring into Love. This movie
- 3:52Speaker 1: was directed by David Weavery has thirty nine directing credits,
- 3:56Speaker 1: including this Summer's Wedding Season and earlier This Year is
- 4:00Speaker 1: Sweeter Than Chocolate, Last Holidays, Lights Camera Christmas, and tons
- 4:06Speaker 1: of Hallmark credits to his name.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Listen, Lights Camera Christmas is one of my all time favorites.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Great movie, so I was happy to see that he
- 4:13Speaker 2: had directed that and this one. M Hm, Kelly bow
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yep I say bo because it's Bowe. I don't. I'm
- 4:22Speaker 2: thinking it's bow Anyway. She has only five writing credits
- 4:26Speaker 2: to her name, most recently wrote Caribbean Summer in twenty
- 4:30Speaker 2: twenty two.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yes, her second Hallmark movie credit.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Isn't that wild? Like we're like these writers who have
- 4:37Speaker 2: like narry a job on their resume, gets a Hallmark movie.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I would suggest that she's probably been writing elsewhere. Just
- 4:46Speaker 1: the fact that it's not on IMDb doesn't mean she's
- 4:49Speaker 1: not doing some rowdy fair.
- 4:51Speaker 2: She could be in a writer's room somewhere or something. Yeah, Okay,
- 4:54Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Trying to drag. And she's a freelance writer. So I
- 4:59Speaker 1: did because because her IMDb was so light, So she
- 5:03Speaker 1: has a master's degree from usc This movie stars Bethany
- 5:06Speaker 1: Joy Lenz as Abby Lawrence. Bethany Joy lens has forty
- 5:10Speaker 1: two acting credits. She is going to star in the
- 5:13Speaker 1: upcoming count Down to Christmas movie A Biltmore Christmas alongside
- 5:16Speaker 1: Wowie's Ali Christopher Pola. Previously on Hallmark, she starred in
- 5:21Speaker 1: an Unexpected Christmas five star Christmas Just My type of
- 5:25Speaker 1: Valentine's Match, among others. And this is our second week
- 5:29Speaker 1: in a row with a throwback movie starring a former
- 5:32Speaker 1: One Tree Hill star, and she played Hailey James Scott.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Now tell me did she marry a Scott brother or
- 5:39Speaker 1: is she related to the Scott family by blood?
- 5:43Speaker 2: She married the other Scott brother, Nathan.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so she has another name as well, but
- 5:48Speaker 1: IMDb credits her with her married name.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that is so funny that you ask
- 5:54Speaker 2: that Andrew Walker plays Nick. Did you know? Did you know?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Andrew Walker has eighty two acting credits according to IMDb.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Eighty two. It's a lot.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He was recently in a Safari romance which I watched
- 6:10Speaker 2: and I thought was absolutely stunning to look at. Did
- 6:13Speaker 2: you see it? By no, it's because I've had COVID
- 6:17Speaker 2: and I just needed something easy to watch Otherwise, I
- 6:20Speaker 2: have not seen one Hallmark movie new Hallmark movie all
- 6:23Speaker 2: summer long. But I it's a decent movie. It was
- 6:29Speaker 2: not great, okay, but very pretty to look at. Anyway,
- 6:32Speaker 2: he'll be back soon as Detective Tom and the Curious
- 6:35Speaker 2: Cater The.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Last Suppers, Tom and Goldie return.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm imagining that's going to be before the end
- 6:41Speaker 2: of the year. It's got to be this fall, right,
- 6:43Speaker 2: don't you think so?
- 6:44Speaker 1: I would assume.
- 6:45Speaker 2: So.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It's already got an IMDb credit and they've promoted it,
- 6:49Speaker 1: so it's been promoted.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I haven't seen it promoted at all.
- 6:52Speaker 1: They've announced that it's coming, which is pretty unusual worldwork
- 6:56Speaker 1: announce it terribly for in advance.
- 6:58Speaker 2: It's got to be before the countdown to Christmas.
- 7:01Speaker 1: We shall see, and we'll see. Also in this movie
- 7:04Speaker 1: is Everett Golding. He plays George Willmore. I really enjoyed him,
- 7:08Speaker 1: even though his role is relatively small short in this movie.
- 7:12Speaker 1: He has forty two acting credits, including Girls Gone, Hallmark
- 7:15Speaker 1: Bingo Moment, one episode of Once Upon a Time Or
- 7:19Speaker 1: he plays with Funzel's father. He has roles in other
- 7:22Speaker 1: Hallmark movies like Playing Cupid, A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and The Christmas Promise found him very soothing on screen presence.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Did you yes, lovely? Is it time for first impression?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Good tropes never fail.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Mm? My first impression is it's You've got mail with
- 7:43Speaker 1: a twist.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Okay, let's just talk about it. That's what I'm saying.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I feel like this is the story I might have
- 7:50Speaker 2: seen before somewhere else. Yes, you know what I mean.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I didn't hate it. I think a good trope like
- 7:58Speaker 2: a secret penpal makes for a good movie.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Hmmm, No, I don't disagree.
- 8:05Speaker 1: A little more about it soon, Okay, all right, okay, okay,
- 8:08Speaker 1: let's talk what we liked about this movie.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 8:11Speaker 1: One thing I liked is the family, by which I
- 8:15Speaker 1: mean the Everson family surprised me several times in this movie.
- 8:20Speaker 1: There's a moment when Abby is talking to mister Everson
- 8:24Speaker 1: and in walk Sophie, and I expected her to be
- 8:28Speaker 1: kind of snide, and instead she comes in. She's like, oh,
- 8:33Speaker 1: Dad's not gonna be able to be in on those
- 8:34Speaker 1: meetings as much as you'd like it. And I thought
- 8:36Speaker 1: she was just gonna push Abby aside, but she's like,
- 8:38Speaker 1: let's see how we can help you out. And Nick Everson,
- 8:43Speaker 1: we know that he is reluctant to come back to
- 8:46Speaker 1: the family business, but when he shows up at work,
- 8:49Speaker 1: he's really warm and genial with everyone in the office.
- 8:53Speaker 1: He's there to work.
- 8:55Speaker 3: And I WI.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Those two characters both could have gone in a very
- 8:59Speaker 1: different direction, I think, and they didn't have the bad
- 9:03Speaker 1: attitudes they expected them to.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I hear you, because I think we are so often
- 9:09Speaker 2: fed characters like that that you expected.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Yes, I've been conditioned to expect those characters, and it
- 9:16Speaker 1: was a pleasant surprise.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Exactly. I think Bethany Joylynz is one of my favorite
- 9:22Speaker 2: Hallmark actors. And now let me let me preface this
- 9:25Speaker 2: with saying that I think it's because she's not in
- 9:28Speaker 2: a ton of Hallmark movies. Therefore I'm always surprised and
- 9:34Speaker 2: enjoy her performances.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Okay, when she can set in one overused for you, Yes.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Exactly, And honestly it might just be this covid brain,
- 9:43Speaker 2: but I was like, was she in the Weddingville trilogy?
- 9:48Speaker 2: She was not. No, but like she can kind of
- 9:51Speaker 2: get mixed with like the Autumn Racers and I guess
- 9:55Speaker 2: maybe Autumn resear like they seem kind of similar, maybe
- 10:00Speaker 2: little bit.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't disagree. I think the acting was really strong
- 10:04Speaker 1: in this movie from a number of characters. I thought
- 10:07Speaker 1: Andrew Walker's performance was strong. I really liked the supporting
- 10:11Speaker 1: performance from Francis Flanagan as aunt Francis did. Andrew Walker
- 10:16Speaker 1: seem like a different character than we usually seen from him,
- 10:19Speaker 1: how so well. I think he usually plays these like
- 10:23Speaker 1: kind of buttoned up, got it together kind of guys,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and he was a little bit more of a free spirit.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I mean, he's still like Andrew Walker with his tidy haircut,
- 10:33Speaker 1: so he didn't give like fully like I'm a fisherman
- 10:36Speaker 1: living in my trailer moment like. I think they could
- 10:38Speaker 1: have gotten that more with a Tyler Hines maybe or
- 10:42Speaker 1: Christopher Russell. But I think his like spontaneous, free spirit
- 10:47Speaker 1: attitude might be a little bit different than we usually
- 10:49Speaker 1: see from Andrew Walker. I really liked him in this role, agree,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and I liked his kind of pushback against the traditional
- 10:57Speaker 1: without being he was trying to be successful. He still
- 11:01Speaker 1: wanted the business to be successful. He was still working
- 11:05Speaker 1: toward the same goal, which is again goes back to
- 11:08Speaker 1: my original point, Like he could have been like, uh,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna be late to everything. I'm gonna show up
- 11:13Speaker 1: kind of looking like a mess and I don't know
- 11:15Speaker 1: what I'm doing. And I don't think he did that,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but he pushed back into like, Okay, well here's your
- 11:21Speaker 1: way where everything is neat and tidy and presentable, and
- 11:24Speaker 1: here's my way where we're gonna get it done. But
- 11:26Speaker 1: just spread your wingings.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Bit m And that's interesting. Would you have found him
- 11:33Speaker 2: to be a tiny bit more believable if he was
- 11:36Speaker 2: stylized as like a free spirit I'm quoting free spirit, like,
- 11:41Speaker 2: if he was a little more like I didn't find.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Him unbelievable in the role. I just think it's different
- 11:47Speaker 1: from the Andrewalker we usually see. Yeah, I don't disagree.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I thought Bethany and Andrew were nice pairing. I it's
- 11:55Speaker 2: so weird because and I don't want to compare, but
- 11:58Speaker 2: when we saw Bethany with Tyler Hines and an Unexpected Christmas, like,
- 12:04Speaker 2: those two for me were like kaboom, dynamic together. I
- 12:10Speaker 2: thought that Walker and her they were nice together, not dynamic, though.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So I agree with you. I think Andrew Walker has
- 12:23Speaker 1: such a comfortable energy that his chemistry on screen is
- 12:28Speaker 1: like fifteenth date chemistry. It's like we're warm, we're comfortable,
- 12:33Speaker 1: we have a rapport. But it's not that like firework
- 12:36Speaker 1: first date chemistry that I think you get with the
- 12:39Speaker 1: Tyler Hines. I think he gives that off with a
- 12:42Speaker 1: lot of his characters. And I read another review that
- 12:46Speaker 1: said they didn't think they had a lot of chemistry
- 12:49Speaker 1: as well, and I just think it's a different kind
- 12:52Speaker 1: of chemistry, a settled and relaxed and warm and comfortable
- 12:56Speaker 1: and safe and like we know you vibe.
- 13:01Speaker 2: So that's so interesting because I have a note here
- 13:03Speaker 2: that I thought that Bethany gave more than him, But
- 13:09Speaker 2: now that you say it like that, maybe that's just
- 13:12Speaker 2: his vibe is kind of like a little more backseat.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Okay, anything else you liked? Two things? Okay?
- 13:22Speaker 2: I love the wardrobe for Abby. I don't feel like
- 13:25Speaker 2: I've talked about wardrobe and many, many, many episodes my
- 13:29Speaker 2: early days of talking Hallmark movies, I focus on wardrobe
- 13:33Speaker 2: a lot. I mean, it was very twenty nineteen. There
- 13:37Speaker 2: was a lot of skinny jeans, but I.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Just I just liked what she wore.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I'm going to very like I need a wardrobe refresh
- 13:46Speaker 2: of my own. So I really liked how nice she looked.
- 13:51Speaker 2: The other thing is I enjoy a pen pal trope,
- 13:57Speaker 2: and I just think there's something sweet innocent about like
- 14:00Speaker 2: this kind of communication between people these days, because like
- 14:05Speaker 2: it doesn't exist really right, I mean it might. The
- 14:10Speaker 2: whole message in the bottle thing is like too far
- 14:12Speaker 2: fetched for me, Like, honestly, are you going to seek
- 14:16Speaker 2: somebody out like you find this letter in a box?
- 14:18Speaker 1: I mean she left her email address right there. You
- 14:20Speaker 1: didn't all just seek very hard?
- 14:21Speaker 2: True, Okay, fine, but I did like the email stuff
- 14:24Speaker 2: like back and forth.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I just like it.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So can we move to what we wish for? Because
- 14:31Speaker 1: it's related to this. Yeah, one of my favorite movies
- 14:35Speaker 1: is You've Got Mail. I love that movie. I've seen
- 14:38Speaker 1: it many many times. Although when I rewatched it a
- 14:42Speaker 1: couple of years ago for the first time in a while,
- 14:44Speaker 1: my husband's like, these two people are terrible. They're both
- 14:46Speaker 1: in relationships, and I was like that, you have a point,
- 14:49Speaker 1: And I don't know why I forgive it when it's
- 14:51Speaker 1: Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly, but you do have a point.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I early on was like, oh, this is like You've
- 15:01Speaker 1: Got Mail with a twist. And then there were so
- 15:04Speaker 1: many similarities to You've Got Mail. Like the scene where
- 15:10Speaker 1: they're messaging back and forth from bed straight out of
- 15:13Speaker 1: You've Got Mayil.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yeah, the scene where Nick discovers abby identity right when
- 15:17Speaker 1: they're supposed to meet and he doesn't show up for
- 15:20Speaker 1: their date, straight out of You've Got Mail. The fact
- 15:23Speaker 1: that he decides I'm going to make her fall in
- 15:25Speaker 1: love with me in real life before revealing my identity,
- 15:27Speaker 1: also straight out of that movie. So I really enjoyed
- 15:32Speaker 1: this movie, but I was like, wait, it's it's Hallmark
- 15:36Speaker 1: does You've Got Mail? And I don't actually hate Bethany
- 15:41Speaker 1: Joy Lindz as and Andrew Walker as the Meg Ryan
- 15:43Speaker 1: and Tom Hanks of Hallmark.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I gotta say.
- 15:47Speaker 2: It doesn't make you a little bit angry though, like
- 15:49Speaker 2: not angry, but like annoyed, like come on, do better?
- 15:53Speaker 3: Writers?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Like well, I found it distracting that there were so
- 15:57Speaker 1: many similarities.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I kept thinking like, Oh, that's that's just like this,
- 16:01Speaker 3: that's just like that.
- 16:02Speaker 2: So that's an interesting take. I will say that, Like
- 16:05Speaker 2: I said, I like the trope. I don't like the
- 16:08Speaker 2: amount of similarities that bothers me because I'm a smarter
- 16:14Speaker 2: viewer than that, do you know what I mean? Yes,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I just think like, well, yeah, if I showed it
- 16:20Speaker 2: to my gen X or she would think this is
- 16:22Speaker 2: groundbreaking material. But considering like we've seen this movie played
- 16:27Speaker 2: out like almost you know, similar scenes, it just bothers
- 16:34Speaker 2: me a little bit. Yes, that's all. Okay. I do
- 16:38Speaker 2: have a question though. I know this was in twenty
- 16:39Speaker 2: nineteen and it was not that long ago, but in
- 16:42Speaker 2: twenty twenty three, how does this work? You know what
- 16:45Speaker 2: I mean? Like they're not two adults talking over email.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Feels a little bit outdated. Well that's a good point.
- 16:53Speaker 2: So what would the alternative be?
- 16:55Speaker 1: Right, Like, if you were going to send a message
- 16:56Speaker 1: in a bottle in twenty twenty three, would you put
- 16:59Speaker 1: like your Instagram handle on there?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yet?
- 17:01Speaker 1: But that's too personal? Then they're gonna know exactly who
- 17:04Speaker 1: you are. Email has the ability to be anonymous.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:08Speaker 1: The other thing is I think email works because if
- 17:12Speaker 1: you use in a movie, just movie based, I think
- 17:16Speaker 1: if you use any one of these social media platforms,
- 17:18Speaker 1: it gets dated very quickly. If you make one up.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I feel like that gets dicey when they're like it's
- 17:24Speaker 1: facemail or whatever they photogram. I don't love it when
- 17:29Speaker 1: they do that. Yeah, the messaging was funny to me.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm like, where are they messaging? Because it was like
- 17:34Speaker 1: not an email platform. Sometimes it was like they were
- 17:37Speaker 1: instant messaging. Oh my god, I'm like, is where where
- 17:41Speaker 1: can you do that?
- 17:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It did date the movie a little bit, but I
- 17:46Speaker 1: also think maybe it's to the movie's credit that it didn't.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Date it even more. Yeah, what if they didn't email?
- 17:53Speaker 2: What if they were writing letters back and forth?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Oh would you hate that? Well, well, I guess I
- 18:00Speaker 1: get too stuck in the weeds of well how do
- 18:03Speaker 1: they do that? How are they sending mail if they
- 18:05Speaker 1: don't know who the other person is because.
- 18:07Speaker 2: There's this whole name an address? Yes, yes, yeah, well
- 18:12Speaker 2: remember I don't know if you watched it. It was
- 18:15Speaker 2: last Christmas. It was a Julie Sherman wolf movie and
- 18:19Speaker 2: it was a matchmaker situation and they were leaving letters
- 18:23Speaker 2: with like the door men.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I don't think I did watch that.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I can't remember what it was called. It's driving me crazy.
- 18:32Speaker 1: The Hanuka movie.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yes, Jeremy Jordan wasn't it anyway. That's how they got
- 18:38Speaker 2: around that, is that they were leaving the letters like
- 18:40Speaker 2: you know, they weren't mailing them to home. So anyway,
- 18:44Speaker 2: I just was wondering, I'm just playing. Oh, yes, that's
- 18:49Speaker 2: what it was called. I freaking love that movie. I
- 18:52Speaker 2: have one thing I wished for. Yes, they didn't like
- 18:55Speaker 2: lean too hard into it, but the whole like Abby
- 18:58Speaker 2: is an uptight woman who takes her job so seriously stereotype,
- 19:02Speaker 2: she comes off as like kind of a bit.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I didn't love that.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I hate it. I hate it. I didn't get that.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I normally hate that too.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I didn't get that vibe.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Oh maybe it was just me.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Well, I don't know it's valid. I just I normally
- 19:18Speaker 1: don't like that either. I just thought she was committed
- 19:22Speaker 1: to her job. She really wanted this promotion she was
- 19:24Speaker 1: willing to do, and I could get that it was frustrating, like, oh,
- 19:27Speaker 1: they're going to bring the boss's son just because he's
- 19:30Speaker 1: an ever sin like, he hasn't worked here, he doesn't
- 19:32Speaker 1: know more than me. I thought like her complaints were
- 19:36Speaker 1: valid when she was like, why do I have to
- 19:39Speaker 1: work with this guy? And get your shit together? And
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna send you all.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Of this material because you haven't worked here in years.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's like what it was. It's like
- 19:48Speaker 2: she like send him all the information and he didn't
- 19:50Speaker 2: read it, and then she looks like she's just so hardcore.
- 19:54Speaker 2: You know. I just don't like that. Why can't we
- 19:58Speaker 2: be taken seriously?
- 20:00Speaker 1: I mean, she gets the promotion. I think she is
- 20:02Speaker 1: taken seriously. And to think she is respected by the
- 20:05Speaker 1: people that she works with too. Okay, all right, yeah,
- 20:09Speaker 1: I don't know. That's not the vibe I got, but
- 20:12Speaker 1: doesn't make your point invalid.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Okay, do you have any did you see that?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Just one?
- 20:17Speaker 3: Me too?
- 20:18Speaker 2: Just one?
- 20:19Speaker 1: That is one giant stack of pancakes. But that was
- 20:22Speaker 1: a really delightful scene. It was a delightful scene and
- 20:25Speaker 1: she's so excited about it, and the pancakes looked delicious.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But there were like six giant pancakes on that plate.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, can you eat that many? Oh?
- 20:34Speaker 1: I mean my eyes are low a pancakes, but I
- 20:37Speaker 1: don't think even I could eat six giant pancakes.
- 20:40Speaker 2: But I esthetically coming out with like this huge plate
- 20:44Speaker 2: of pancakes was just so cute.
- 20:47Speaker 3: You are You're right, it was and nice looking.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Her reaction to it was pancakes.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Oh it was.
- 20:54Speaker 2: It was surprising, Like I just loved it. I just
- 20:57Speaker 2: thought that was such.
- 20:58Speaker 3: A cute scene I had.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Okay, but in that moment, I really was like she
- 21:02Speaker 1: was frustrated with him in that moment a little bit,
- 21:05Speaker 1: and then like the pancakes show up, and I was like, Okay,
- 21:07Speaker 1: she's just like full grown adult woman and you're just
- 21:10Speaker 1: gonna distract her with the stack of pancakes. I did
- 21:12Speaker 1: have that moment of like with food.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Yeah, here's some pancakes.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I hear you, I hear you. Did you notice
- 21:21Speaker 2: at the beginning when she's at the wedding she's in
- 21:24Speaker 2: a very pretty woman ish polka dot dress. Oh?
- 21:28Speaker 3: I did.
- 21:29Speaker 1: But you know what's so funny is I didn't notice
- 21:31Speaker 1: it until later when she's carrying the dress from the
- 21:35Speaker 1: dry cleaner, do you know talking about I was like, oh,
- 21:38Speaker 1: that's that same dress, not same, but very similar, that
- 21:41Speaker 1: brown polka dot dress that we saw in the Inn
- 21:45Speaker 1: movie earlier this year. The reminiscent of exactly. It's just
- 21:49Speaker 1: like a classic look, right, it is a classic look. Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 1: but that's all I had, all Right, what did you
- 21:55Speaker 1: rate this movie?
- 21:56Speaker 2: I gave it three and a half stars.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Oh, I gave it four.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Oh look, I really liked it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and I feel like on the trajectory of summer movies,
- 22:05Speaker 1: we started off strong. We had Christmas, which I'm not
- 22:09Speaker 1: really counting those Christmas in July movies, and then we
- 22:14Speaker 1: hit a real rough patch on sidelines, struggled, Plason and
- 22:19Speaker 1: love was a challenge. Things started to pick up last week,
- 22:23Speaker 1: but this I'm glad we finished strong and most of
- 22:27Speaker 1: our selection, if not all, the placement was random. Throughout
- 22:31Speaker 1: the summer, we didn't know at all. Yeah, what we
- 22:34Speaker 1: were looking forward to. So well done, Wendy with the
- 22:38Speaker 1: random placement, because I'm glad we ended on a high note,
- 22:40Speaker 1: because I started to worry that maybe there were no
- 22:43Speaker 1: more good Hallmark.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Fan favorite movies.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, oh no, Well, I'm telling you our fall list
- 22:49Speaker 2: is all based off of suggestions from our listeners and
- 22:53Speaker 2: from those in the Facebook group and on Instagram. So
- 22:58Speaker 2: don't blame me. I did not pick these movies.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not blaming you. The worst movie we watched
- 23:03Speaker 1: this summer was a movie that I put on the list.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I think you had forgotten, right, it's that football movie right.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Love on the Sidelines. My memory of it was strong, which,
- 23:14Speaker 1: by the way, lots of people love Pop into our
- 23:17Speaker 1: Facebook group. Lots of people have a lot of affinity
- 23:18Speaker 1: for that movie.
- 23:19Speaker 2: So I know.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Here's what I'm excited about about those Fall movies is
- 23:22Speaker 1: often the Hallmark Fall lineup has nothing.
- 23:25Speaker 3: To do with Fall.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm excited for some actual Fall content. We're
- 23:29Speaker 1: guaranteed within our own throwback movies to get those real
- 23:34Speaker 1: strong leaves changing, even if it is CGI vibes.
- 23:40Speaker 2: In our Girls Gone Hallmark universe.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I'm.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Really looking forward to them, to be honest.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we're taking a Fall foliage trip this year. I'm excited.
- 23:52Speaker 2: You guys are again. You did that last year Creeping Rich.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Oh at least it's closer to home this year.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and now we want to move there anyway. All right,
- 24:02Speaker 1: thank you for listening to this episode of Girls Gone Hallmark.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Continue the conversation in our Facebook group, which you can
