- 0:03Happy Tuesday morning everybody. I will tell you what I have
- 0:10about. Had enough of this horrible
- 0:14weather last night. What Monday night we had another
- 0:19Armageddon event here. This conveyor belt of this
- 0:24tornadic weather is truly getting exhausting.
- 0:30We're not complaining, but we're a little concerned.
- 0:33We was a little afraid, Kim said.
- 0:35We got to go in the basement around 10:30.
- 0:40Rains so hard that I'm, I'm draining the pool right now, or
- 0:44as we would say, I'm, I'm back washing it, but I'm getting rid
- 0:47of some water. It rained probably, oh, an inch
- 0:50or two last night. So draining the water, draining
- 0:57the water because this Memorial Day weekend, the families
- 1:02wanting to swim so well, today's the big day.
- 1:07I'm headed up to the Mayo Clinic and I want to thank everybody
- 1:12for calling me. I want to thank John Dotson,
- 1:15Barry Dotson's brother. We lost Barry, but John
- 1:21basically is the boss at NASCAR Tech.
- 1:25So anyway, thank you to John Dotson, John said.
- 1:29Herman, I've been through that, that issue where your esophagus
- 1:35feels like the food's going down in your esophagus.
- 1:38And John tells me it's that damn coughing.
- 1:41It's the acidity in the coffee. So we go find out.
- 1:46We're going to find out. Who knows, We might have to have
- 1:48tea with Kenny. If the doctors say, hey, it's
- 1:53that, it's that coffee, then we might have to have tea with
- 1:58Kenny. But today's the big day.
- 2:02I'm leaving at 138 headed up to the Mayo Clinic.
- 2:06Basically, I'm going to spend Wednesday and Thursday up there.
- 2:09And then on Friday we're going to talk about it.
- 2:12We got about 12 appointments set up.
- 2:15We got, you know, the colonoscopy.
- 2:18We got the treadmill for the arteries.
- 2:21You know, we get, we got all types of stuff set up.
- 2:23We're going to get what's called an executive physical.
- 2:26Brother Rusty got me the appointment.
- 2:28And yeah, All right, then we all don't know what we're talking
- 2:35about until we talk to the the best doctors in the in the
- 2:40world. So remember, I'm going to the
- 2:42Mayo Clinic because it's one stop shopping.
- 2:46In other words, if I'm in Saint Louis, my doctor sends me over
- 2:48here, then they send me over here, then they send me over
- 2:51here. And it take couple, couple
- 2:53months to get this stuff done. If you do it normally, go up to
- 2:58the Mayo Clinic, get it all done in 2 days and you're done.
- 3:02So I, I know Saint Louis has got some of the greatest hospitals,
- 3:06but it, it takes too long to get this, this stuff done.
- 3:10So, yeah, All right, The reason we're going to check my arteries
- 3:17is because most of my family. Hey, he made it through.
- 3:23He made it through the day. He found a slot.
- 3:26OK, So we're going up there because we want one stop
- 3:29shopping. We're going to get it all done
- 3:31in two days. None of this go here, Go there
- 3:33over the course of two months. All right, All right, I know
- 3:37Saint Louis has got great hospitals.
- 3:39La, la, la, la, la. I don't want to hear it.
- 3:42I, I know we're going to Rochester, MN to the Mayo Clinic
- 3:46so we can get it all done at one time.
- 3:48Check all my arteries because my family all died of clogged up
- 3:52arteries. Brother Mike had his chest cut
- 3:56open because you know, the the widowmaker, whatever it was all
- 4:02clogged up. So anyway, me and mom are the
- 4:05only one clear so far. I just want to make sure I live
- 4:09long time. OK, I made a little news last
- 4:15night switching subjects. I sit on the chair here.
- 4:25I was checking to see if it was dry.
- 4:27We already got a little water right here.
- 4:30OK, last night I made a little news.
- 4:33So yesterday we did a new Kenny conversation with Mike and
- 4:41Justin Algar should be coming out this Thursday.
- 4:44I think that's when Charlie's going to have it.
- 4:47About a damn hour and a half with Gator and little Gator.
- 4:53So I had a great conversation with with Justin and the subject
- 4:59is this Clint Boyer. I talked to Clint Boyer a couple
- 5:05years ago out of Sturgis and I said, Clint, why did you quit
- 5:10racing so early? So listen to this.
- 5:13Something I never knew, Clint Boyer, Ryan Newman, Bobby
- 5:19Labonte, Jeff Burton, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, you know
- 5:26what they all have in common? They all quit NASCAR at a very
- 5:33early age. Google it.
- 5:36Check to Google her. NASCAR is a very tough sport.
- 5:41You live inside that circle. You're in that motorhome, you're
- 5:45on airplanes, You're never home. So one thing that that I said to
- 5:50Clint, I said, Clint, my God, you quit at like 42 years old.
- 5:54Yeah, Clint Boyer quit like at 42 years old.
- 5:57He goes, man. He said, I've been racing my
- 5:59whole life. I started when I was like a kid.
- 6:05I started studying this phenomenon that's kind of new to
- 6:10me. So I so I studied it and Justin
- 6:16Allgar. Now you're going to want to
- 6:18watch this episode with Justin and Mike Allgar.
- 6:21Justin has some news that I think is it's it's breaking
- 6:26news. I do, but I'm not going to
- 6:29mention it. I don't want to get in trouble.
- 6:30Wait for Kenny conversation to come out this Thursday with
- 6:34Justin Algar and his dad Mike Algar one of our first time
- 6:39where we do you know all three of us on the screen it it turned
- 6:42out beautifully. So anyway Clint Boyer said I
- 6:49quit racing early because that's all I've done since I've been
- 6:52five years old. I've raced my whole life.
- 6:56Well, as a little teaser last night on Facebook and XI put out
- 7:02this, I put out that statement. I said if you start racing at
- 7:07five years old, by the time you get to 40 you've raced your
- 7:11whole life. Now that's all I said, That's
- 7:13all I said. If you start racing at 5 when
- 7:17you turn 40, you have raced your whole life.
- 7:22However, I started dirt racing at 44 years old and I guess
- 7:27that's why I'm still going at, I'll be 62 in August.
- 7:30Dirt racing is kind of new to me because I started doing it at
- 7:3344. Well, Shannon Larose, so wimpy
- 7:44decals my car. Well, they got their boy who
- 7:47started at 5:00 and she took it wrong.
- 7:52She took it as you know, Xander. Xander started at 5 and we're
- 7:59all big fans of Xander and we love Xander and we love Shannon
- 8:04Larose and we love Wimpy. But she's like, that's, that's
- 8:08your opinion. I'm like, well, she took this
- 8:10totally wrong. Shannon, you took that totally
- 8:14wrong. What I'm saying is Clint Boyer
- 8:16and these guys that are quitting NASCAR, they're quitting NASCAR
- 8:21because they started racing at 5 and by the time they got to 40,
- 8:25they've raced their whole life and they're just tired of
- 8:27racing. Now, if if Xander wants to race
- 8:31till he's 70, that's fine. But the point is, is I'm
- 8:36bringing up the subject matter that the subject matter is this.
- 8:40If you start racing at 5, by the time you get to 40, you've raced
- 8:44forever. And, and these guys decided to
- 8:49quit NASCAR because it's 365 days a year.
- 8:55It's not like racing here and there everywhere, you know, and
- 8:59your son's five and you're 38, most likely when Xander gets to
- 9:04be 40, you're going to be 80. But anyway, it was meant as a
- 9:09subject matter. It's a subject matter.
- 9:15Why did some of the NASCAR drivers quit at 42 years old?
- 9:20That was the subject matter. Not Xander needs to quit at 40.
- 9:26All right now that we got that straight, a lot of these NASCAR
- 9:32drivers, they quit at 42 years old because they started at
- 9:355:00. That that is a new phenomenon,
- 9:40brother Rusty, Kenny Schrader, Ricky Rudd, you know, Bill
- 9:44Elliott, Dale Earnhardt, all these guys they were getting,
- 9:49you know, Earnhardt said he was quitting at 50.
- 9:50Rusty quit at 50 because, you know, it just seemed like the
- 9:55right thing to do. They had lived inside that
- 9:58circle long enough. You go to the NASCAR races, you,
- 10:01you got the circle and you're in your motorhome, you're in your
- 10:04airplane. You don't do anything.
- 10:06All you do is race. You burn out.
- 10:09You need a break. So that's all it is.
- 10:13And I think I'm going to, I'm going to deem this.
- 10:15Why do NASCAR racers quit at 40 years old?
- 10:21All right, everybody have a great, great Tuesday.
