- 0:13Dayna Roselli: Get out the old-fashioned pen and paper because this is a good one.
- 0:17Dayna Roselli: Hey, the wildly popular show Absent celebrates a big milestone.
- 0:22Dayna Roselli: There's also a ticket deal for locals.
- 0:24Sean McAllister: We tell you about a tie plate off the strip that we both actually recently stopped into separately.
- 0:30Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 0:31Dayna Roselli: And I was like, hey, it's good there.
- 0:32Dayna Roselli: And you were like, yeah, it is.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: We'll talk about that.
- 0:35Dayna Roselli: And a steakhouse near the strip seems like it's constantly flowing with people.
- 0:39Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna discuss this.
- 0:41Sean McAllister: A popular A-list actor is coming to Durango Casino to put on a show of his own.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: And an update on the transition from the Cromwell to Vanderpump Hotel on the strip.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: And the demolition derby returns to the plaza.
- 0:57Sean McAllister: It's a smashing success.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: And this and much more coming up now on Vegas Revealed.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 313.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: I'm Sean McAllister.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: Along with Dana Roselli, we have an all-inclusive deal.
- 1:12Sean McAllister: We have a new hotel casino opening.
- 1:14Sean McAllister: We have a demolition derby.
- 1:16Sean McAllister: We've got an A-list actor with a show.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: We've got so much packed in for this episode, Dana.
- 1:23Sean McAllister: I think we need to just dive right into it.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: We do.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: And the first one we want to talk about, the first topic is this big all-inclusive, because this is huge.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: First, let's just backpedal one second.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: We did recently tell you about a luxury all-inclusive at Conrad at Resorts World.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: But remember, on this deal, you had to add it on to your room that you already booked.
- 1:44Dayna Roselli: So this is this deal we're telling you about from MGM is a little bit different.
- 1:48Sean McAllister: It is.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: This is a true all-inclusive.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: What's included in it?
- 1:54Sean McAllister: Your hotel room is included.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: Three meals per day are included.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: Your parking is included.
- 2:02Sean McAllister: Tickets to shows are included.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: Your resort fees are included.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: So this truly is an all-inclusive experience.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: And to my knowledge, in the 20 plus years of living in Las Vegas and covering Las Vegas, I don't ever remember an all-inclusive experience like this.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Right.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: You'd be a good signer for TV shows, sign language.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: Oh, did you like how I was like listing things off?
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: Well, then you hit your head.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: You said to my knowledge, and you hit your head.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: And I was like, wow, this is like I'm watching a whole I'm watching it.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: I'm miming everything that I'm saying over here because it's exciting.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: I mean, it's exciting for people who want to come to Las Vegas, know exactly what they're getting and what they're paying.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: And I want to mention, uh, we are actually very knowledgeable about this experience because Sean, you actually did uh what, 22 stations of well, something around that tape on tape and in live live show.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: It's called a satellite media tour uh for this experience for MGM.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: You were the talent.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: Um, and so you did all these interviews and everything like that, and we're talking with people from all over the country and national shows, and and so um we kind of because we had to read up on it and and you had to obviously talk about it to all these stations, we we have it all down.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: So this one we are very clear on.
- 3:27Sean McAllister: We are very clear on it.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: So let's get into it, shall we?
- 3:31Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: So this all-inclusive experience is good for two people for two nights, and it's good for hotel rooms that are booked at Luxor and Excalibur.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: And it's$330, and that resort fee is already taken care of, that's in that price, and you're getting free parking on top of that.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: You're also getting three meals a day, and you're getting tickets to the uh New York-New York roller coaster, and you're getting two tickets to a show of your choice, and that list includes Sean.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: Well, Dana, the shows that you have to choose from are Blue Man Group, Carrot Top, Fantasy, The Australian Bee Gees, the Mac King Comedy Magic Show, and Thunder from Down Under.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: That's a good variety of shows.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: Good shows, too.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: And let's talk dining.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:32Sean McAllister: Because there are 10 restaurants across MGM Resorts properties that you can choose from to uh have your meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: Now, here's how it's gonna work when you check in, you get meal vouchers that are good at uh the participating restaurants.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: They have uh special curated menus specifically for this all-inclusive package.
- 4:57Sean McAllister: So you go there, you present your voucher, and you can order off of the special menu that they have.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: And by the way, this includes uh uh beer, select beer or wine.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: You get one beverage if you're an adult, um adult beverage, but then you get unlimited non-alcoholic beverages if you choose to go that route.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's great.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Unlimited.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:21Sean McAllister: So there's 10 different spots uh at Luxor, Xcaliber, New York, New York, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand.
- 5:28Sean McAllister: Great.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: So you're staying on the south end of the strip, and all these restaurants are on the south end of the strip, and you have everything from uh the Tap Sports Bar, they have that at Xcaliber and MGM Grand, the buffet at Xcaliber, which listen, we're talking breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 5:45Sean McAllister: You could do the buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: You could.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: It's a good buffet, too, the Xcaliber.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: Uh there's Diablo's Cantina, Pyramid Cafe, Public House, Backstage Deli, Tom's Watch Bar, which is stripside right there at the Brooklyn Bridge at New York, New York.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: Uh, you have the noodle shop at Mandalay Bay, uh, or you can go to the MGM Grand buffet.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: You've got two different buffets to choose from.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: That's amazing.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: That's amazing.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: I feel like it is a good deal.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: So let's go over this again:$330, two people, two nights.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: Rooms are either at Luxor or Excalibur.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: You're getting three meals a day on those two days.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Um, your meals include a beer or wine and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: Um, you're getting uh two rides on the New York, New York roller coaster, and you're getting a night out to see a show or a day, because if you go to Matt King, he's in the day.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: Um you get to choose from you get the two tickets to the to the show, Caratop, Blue Man, uh, Fantasy, Australian Bee Gees, Thunder from Down Under, and Matt King.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, this this really is a good deal.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: You'll be able to be on property, parking is free, and you can use the pool.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: You can do, I mean, so this whole all-inclusive thing is very interesting.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: And I am so curious to see how it plays out.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: But um, you were really pointing out in a lot of the live shots that you did with the different stations and radio stations from across the country that, you know, this is great to add on.
- 7:19Dayna Roselli: You come out for a convention and you're like, I really wish I could have stayed two extra days to, hey, this is perfect, or you're coming out to see a game and you're like, well, where are we gonna stay?
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: We're here for, you know, we're going to the game that we're gonna see, or we're going to the concert that we're here for, or we're going to the residency show we flew in for.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: But let's also get three meals a day.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: Go see an extra show on the day that we're not going to the show that we planned or the game.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's really good.
- 7:46Sean McAllister: Or if you want to get a group of friends together to all come to Vegas at the same time, especially if you're in anywhere in the southwest where you can just get on the road and drive into town easily.
- 7:59Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:00Sean McAllister: I mean, have everybody just book this uh all inclusive experience.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: And so it is uh the you can book for stays starting on April 6th, and it's going at least all summer long.
- 8:14Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: And it's uh uh mgmresorts.com slash all inclusive is the website where you can book, get all the information.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: Um but it really is.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: It's a great thing to add on, or uh, like we mentioned before, to know exactly what you're getting and how much it's gonna cost you.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: And a reason to get out here and a reason to get out weekend trip or even just a midday, like hey, maybe we should go to Vegas Wednesday and Thursday.
- 8:43Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's great.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: We'll put a link in our show notes too, to the uh you know, they'll take you right to the to the website to look around and book it and you know, read up on it yourself too.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: There's always a lot of little, but you know, for the most part, um, that's really the deal.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: It's kind of all in and and there's been a lot of talk about finding value in Las Vegas, and for this price and everything you get, I'm not sure that you could find a better value in Las Vegas right now.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: So there it is.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: There it is.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: We wanted to let you know about it, and now you know all of the details.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: Hey, let's talk about that Thai restaurant that you and I went to uh separate times, not even knowing, but you were like, hey, I went to Nataya's secret kitchen, and I was like, I went there like two days before that.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: And we were like, Oh, let's compare notes.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Um, but we had been there before.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: I think we've even talked about it on the podcast here, but we it's not something we go to often.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: I feel like I go there like once a year, but then I always love it.
- 9:40Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, I mean maybe like I'm there maybe once a year, but I need to go back because it really is.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: The food is so delicious.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: Uh, like you said, it's a great Thai restaurant.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: Um, they have a good bar, a huge wine selection.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: They do.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: They even have uh some nights on Wednesdays, they have half-off bottles of rose.
- 10:01Sean McAllister: Uh on Thursdays, they have half-off bottles of uh select bottles of wine.
- 10:06Sean McAllister: They have a special menu that you can order from.
- 10:08Sean McAllister: But I mean, that's great.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: They have happy hour every day, three to six.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: And it's in the northwest part of the valley, we call here in Las Vegas.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: So if you're sitting on the strip, you're gonna look northwest, uh, it's up in that area.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Now, they actually, I don't want to say it's new anymore, but they had to move.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: They were in a even a smaller spot um and expanded um over the last, I don't know, few years, five years ago.
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: I don't know, time flies lately, but um, it's so popular.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: And whenever you and I mention it, people always go, Oh, I love that place.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: So we thought we'd share it with everyone.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: Well, and you know what's funny?
- 10:42Sean McAllister: When we were uh we were sitting there having uh having a drink before our table was ready because we ended up getting over there early.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: And as we were sitting there, this couple came up to the bar and they ordered some drinks, and they were talking to the bartender and said, you know, we were we've never been here before, but we were at our son's baseball game, and rather than go home and cook dinner, we were like, Oh, we're somewhere close.
- 11:09Sean McAllister: And this came up.
- 11:09Sean McAllister: She was like, So we're excited to see what this is about.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: And then we started chatting with them.
- 11:15Sean McAllister: We're like, Well, you made a good choice because this is absolutely delicious.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, you're gonna love it.
- 11:20Sean McAllister: And I could see them enjoying themselves as we were leaving.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: Now don't go in.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: So me and my friend walked in, me and Melissa walked in without a reservation, and you get the look.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Okay, because you really should make a reservation.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: You should make a reservation, but they did seat us.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: Um, and that's the second time me and her had gone there, I think, the year before, even.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: I always say the year because I feel like time flies.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: Sometime we go there often whenever we can.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Um, but um the one thing that I don't love is that I feel like they do rush you along.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: So that's what we've both experienced.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: And I think it's because it's so popular.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: They don't want you to just sit and hang, and they're like, we got reservations, we got to keep turning over these tables.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: Keep that in mind.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: You may want to glance at a menu before you go.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: Just I'm just talking about a couple things to kind of make it a little bit easier for yourself.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: Um, my favorite appetizer there's always the fried avocado.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: We get kind of the same things always.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: I always love the basil ground chicken.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: I get it really super hot.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, just a little.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: It depends on the time, but if they're busy, they are gonna move you along a little bit.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: See, I haven't had that experience there.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: But I usually go uh midweek and kind of a later dinner reservation too.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: So there's not a ton of people coming in after.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, could depend.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: The the last three times I've been, I felt like we were moved along.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Not like rushed like crazy, but just, you know, moved along a little bit.
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Efficiency.
- 12:55Sean McAllister: But it is delicious.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: So try it out if you haven't.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Natalia's Secret Kitchen.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: It's really good.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, I just wanted to mention, I'm not gonna get into the new coffee shop that I sat at, but it's in that same plaza that we went and covered.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: Brasseria EDO.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: Um, it's right on Paradise, across from the sphere.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: I told you that's my jam because I get my nails done there.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: I love when there's new stuff.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: So there's a new coffee shop called, uh, I think it's cargo.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: I don't know how to say it, but it's Q-A-R-G-O.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: I think it's from Miami.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: That's how I'd say it.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I'm gonna get into that another time.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: But while I was sitting there, it's next to Cleaver Steakhouse.
- 13:30Dayna Roselli: And me and my friend, it was like five o'clock on like a Friday.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: Um, we were out at the pool, this and that, and we're like, oh, let's go get coffee and try that new because they have food there too.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: It's delicious, by the way.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: And it's very small, not tons of seating, so keep that in mind.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: So I see I am ending up getting into it anyway.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: I can't I can't hold back.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: The amount of people that got dropped off to go to Cleaver, we were like, this is insane.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: I had to make a note.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: So Ubers were dropping people off, black cars from hotels, taxis.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: And I was like, what?
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: And she was like, look, more people are coming, like between like five and six.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: So I was thinking, I know Cleaver is great, and I know it's popular, and it's you know, really been talked about as being an excellent steakhouse.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: And I can only assume that it's on a lot of those searches when people Google steakhouses in Las Vegas.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: It's on a lot of those lists.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's known for being really good.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: But I thought, well, people must be coming from the strip to go to this steakhouse because I was seeing the black cars and the taxis and the Ubers.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: And I know some locals might, you know, if you're planning, hey, we're gonna hit the bar and we're gonna have a big dinner and we're gonna drink wine, maybe Uber, so you don't have to drive home.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: But I felt like there was so much traffic.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: It had to be coming from the strip.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: And it was just an endless cycle of cars going to be.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I don't know.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: Like, what's the deal?
- 15:07Dayna Roselli: Is it like so it's an attraction?
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: Is it on like a top 10 steakhouse list in Vegas or what's the deal?
- 15:14Sean McAllister: Interesting.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: I haven't been there in ages.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: I only went there for a group dinner.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: Um, so I didn't get to choose what I wanted.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: It was, you know, things were coming out and it was delicious, but I haven't been back.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, I need to get over there too.
- 15:24Sean McAllister: But as you were talking about the cars pulling up and dropping people off, uh, it made me think that next time I go over there, I might take an Uber too.
- 15:36Sean McAllister: Only because in that parking lot, it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot because it's not a huge parking area.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Definitely.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: If you go in the day, like say you're gonna hit that coffee shop in the day, they have a new WABA there too, where they have great uh meat and vegetable bowls.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: And um, but if you're in the day, you should be okay.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: But a lot of those restaurants open at five.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: So you got Cleaver, now you got EDO, America.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: Marrakesh, right, and uh tacos and beer is in the corner, but I think that's open for a longer period, like lunch, dinner.
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: So yeah, so once you get them all going at the same time, it does get it does get past.
- 16:14Sean McAllister: So getting a ride could be the smart way to go.
- 16:16Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 16:16Dayna Roselli: And a lot of people sneak in there when they're sphere shows and park and walk.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: Oh you gotta be careful of those folks too.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, the park and walkers.
- 16:25Sean McAllister: Park and walkers.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: Um, speaking of restaurants, we're going to the opening of Cantina Contramar.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: By the time this uh post will be going on Friday night.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: Um, excited about this.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: This is highly anticipated, and this is a restaurant from Mexico City that ever since we went to the opening of Fountain Blue, people on the blue carpet were talking about.
- 16:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it's been there's been like three years of anticipation for Cantina Contramar to open.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: This is uh Chef Gabriela Camara.
- 16:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh, she has become world-renowned for her restaurant in Mexico City, uh Contramar.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: And people have just loved her contemporary take on Mexican food and her vision with what she delivers on the plate.
- 17:14Sean McAllister: Um, and so there is such anticipation.
- 17:18Sean McAllister: We're excited to get over there.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: We'll share our thoughts, reflections, flavors once uh once we get back into the swing of things after going.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:29Sean McAllister: Um, but we wanted to let you know that we are going and we're excited to share that with you.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: And it should be a fun party because they always do good openings over at Fountain Blue.
- 17:37Dayna Roselli: They do.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Looking forward to it.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: Hey, a couple noteworthy things for some of our shows.
- 17:42Dayna Roselli: We love to mention some of our longtime shows that reach those milestones.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: And Absinthe is such a popular show at Caesars Palace under the big top there, the permanent structure big top, celebrating 15 years in Las Vegas.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: It debuted in 2011.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: Sean and I were both here at that time.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: We both remember the opening.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: But we did want to say big congratulations to Spiegel World and also mention there is a locals deal through April 8th.
- 18:09Dayna Roselli: You can get 30 bucks off all performances as a big thank you.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: You have to go to spiegelworld.com to book, but I think that's nice.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: If you've never been to Absinthe, you want to go again, 30 bucks off.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: And another big congratulations to another show on the Las Vegas strip, Magic Mike Live.
- 18:27Sean McAllister: They uh just completed their 2000th performance at Sahara, Las Vegas.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: Now, before they were at Sahara, they were over at the old hard rock.
- 18:39Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: And they had uh more than 1,300 shows over there.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: So in total, Magic Mike Live has now performed over 3,300 shows in Las Vegas.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: Dolphin dive pack performances.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: I know.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: I I said to Dan, I was like, so what exactly is the dolphin dive?
- 19:03Sean McAllister: And then you like got down and tried to show me.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: Like, hello, and you don't know what the dolphin dive is when the shirt rips off and then you like get on the ground and you dive like a dolphin.
- 19:12Sean McAllister: I I think I just didn't know that that was the official term for it.
- 19:17Sean McAllister: I I am not I'm familiar with the moves.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: Okay, you don't dolphin dive around the house or anything.
- 19:23Dayna Roselli: I do not.
- 19:24Sean McAllister: I would be more like a uh dolphin flop.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: But yeah, I mean they let's see, since March of 2017, that's a lot of performances.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Uh it's a great show with excellent dancing in it, really.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Um, I feel like the cast is is really top of the line.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: They try out from all over the country.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: Or sorry, and all over the world.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: World.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:45Sean McAllister: And there's singers, there's uh musical performers, dancers, obviously.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: Um, but there is there's a wide variety of talent in that show.
- 19:55Dayna Roselli: And yeah, I've been to both, actually, the one at Hard Rock and Sahara.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: And I must say the current one too, um, the theater's great.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: So FYI, it it really is a good theater in the Sahara that they have set up for Magic Mike Live.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: So go over and see it, go support.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: Um, we're happy that they're still around doing their thing, doing those dolphin dives.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: Um, congratulations on uh 200 over at Sahara.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: Hey, listen, this is something that that caught our eye that I was excited about because growing up, we would always go to the dirt racetrack in Batavia, New York.
- 20:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: And you we'd watch the stock car races going around.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: You'd have the chunks of dirt that come and fly up.
- 20:35Sean McAllister: Well, after the races, a lot of times there was a demolition derby too.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: And I don't think that it's like a popular thing in Las Vegas.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: So when I saw this too, I was like, okay, you don't get this very often.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: You don't, but it's coming to downtown Las Vegas.
- 20:50Sean McAllister: This isn't even up at the speedway.
- 20:51Sean McAllister: No.
- 20:52Sean McAllister: Over at the plaza, they have a dirt track built out there, and they're putting on the demolition derby.
- 20:59Sean McAllister: This is something that's returning uh to the plaza.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: I know that they've done it before.
- 21:04Sean McAllister: It's coming back to the core arena over there uh uh April 7th through the 10th.
- 21:10Sean McAllister: It's 4 to 9 p.m.
- 21:12Sean McAllister: Yeah each day.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: Because it's always good at night.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: It is Demolition Derby, I feel like is always it is because where I grew and where I grew up, we grew up in the similar town, close proximity towns.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: Um, the county fair always took place, a Monroe County Fair in my town, and they had the best demolition derby, but it was a thing.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: The who's who of the town would go.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: Everyone was at the demolition derby.
- 21:34Sean McAllister: Everyone.
- 21:34Sean McAllister: It was like a it was a thing.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: And you would see the cars getting ready like through the in the month, like you'd drive by a house and you'd see it in the driveway, and you'd be like, oh, they must be in the demolition derby.
- 21:45Sean McAllister: There is a kid I went to school with, uh, and his dad uh had he drove the stock car, but then he would be in the demolition derby too.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: So it was fun.
- 21:57Sean McAllister: We'd go and cheer on our our hometown driver.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: So much fun, right?
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: It was a big deal.
- 22:02Sean McAllister: It was great.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: Anyway, back to Vegas.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: Uh, tickets for the Sin City Showdown Demolition Derby produced by Stir and Dirt Racing are available online if you want to go check it out.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: Four to nine on April 10th, like Sean mentioned, over at the Core Arena at the Plaza Hotel and Casino.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: Sounds fun.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: It does.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: I'm bummed to be out of town for it.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 22:25Sean McAllister: Because that would be that just talking about it, it's so nostalgic.
- 22:31Sean McAllister: It's making me really want to go.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: It's a lot of fun.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: Oh, like we need to make sure.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: Maybe we need to hit up uh Jonathan Jostel over there at Plaza and ask him if they can bring it back in the fall.
- 22:41Dayna Roselli: That would be good.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Well, let's talk celebrity news with a Vegas twist now.
- 22:49Sean McAllister: Well, how about we kick off our celebrity news with a Vegas twist with the one and only Lisa Vanderpump?
- 22:56Sean McAllister: We have talked about how uh the Cromwell Boutique Hotel is turning into the Vanderpump hotel.
- 23:05Sean McAllister: And we now have an opening date.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: I was surprised to see this because I feel like it came up boom out of nowhere, um, which is great.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: Uh, but it says that you can book now uh for stays starting at the end of May.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: So that's coming up.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: That's coming up real quick.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: So they're uh redoing rooms, they're redoing the inside of the casino, lots of pink.
- 23:27Sean McAllister: Expect lots of pink in there, of course.
- 23:29Sean McAllister: That's what you would expect from Lisa Vanderpump.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: Uh, but it's her own twist.
- 23:34Sean McAllister: And she's, you know, been in hotels, hospitality, restaurants, really for a lot of her most of her career.
- 23:43Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:43Sean McAllister: I mean, she was a model and everything and got into hospitality and has been doing that for a long time.
- 23:49Sean McAllister: So um, but I know that she's talked about the fact that this is the first time that she's actually been able to kind of reinvent a hotel property and put her own stamp on it.
- 24:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 24:01Sean McAllister: So it'll be fun to see.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: I have a feeling it's gonna be a popular place, especially for bachelorette parties.
- 24:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and her because her venues are uh beautiful here on the strip.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: The one at Paris is gorgeous, the one at Flamingo, so nice.
- 24:14Dayna Roselli: Pinkies, yeah.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we walked in.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: We that's the only one I haven't actually gone and hung out at yet, but we did walk in when we were walking by once, and I was like, wow, this is stunning.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: The one the one at Caesar's Palace.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: She knows what she's doing.
- 24:26Sean McAllister: And there's always there's lines at every single one of her venues all the time.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: And I feel like it's a good, like it's it's a theme, but not, you know, because a lot of people keep saying lately, like some of the hotels that have opened here.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, and I feel like they're more the luxury hotels, obviously, the Fountain Blue resorts world, don't have themes anymore.
- 24:48Dayna Roselli: And like, bring back the theme.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: But like, I feel like this is a boutique, it's different in so many different ways.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: It's a theme, but we're not talking like, you know, like Paris or Italy or anything like that, but it's Vanderpump in her style.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: And there is, like you were saying, bachelorette parties.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: Like, there's a theme there that I don't know, it's gonna do really well, I think.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: Well, and it's built around the brand that she has built for herself through reality TV and through restaurants and through hospitality.
- 25:16Sean McAllister: So I I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if she brought some production from her reality shows out here to do something at her hotel.
- 25:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 25:26Sean McAllister: I mean, that would be just a no-brainer marketing move.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: Which will make people want to stay there.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: If you're a fan of the show, you're gonna want to maybe be in the background of a shot or be there when they're filming, be up at the rooftop pool.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it should be good.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: Um, Lisa Vanderpump also getting honored this year as woman of the year for the um Nevada ballet black and white ball.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: Wanted to mention that.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: We covered last year when it was Debbie Gibson.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: Um, but Lisa Vanderpump is um going to be honored as the 2026 woman of the year.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: So congratulations to her.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: You can tell she's engrossing more and more in the community.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: She always really has.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: She's always at the Keep Memory Alive Gala.
- 26:07Dayna Roselli: And she makes an effort, even if she's not in town, to come in for it.
- 26:12Dayna Roselli: So um great to see her taking part in those things.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: I'm glad she'll be honored by the Nevada Ballet.
- 26:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, and that uh the black and white ball, by the way, is on Saturday, April 11th, over at Encore Las Vegas.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: Hey, this is something we were excited about too.
- 26:28Sean McAllister: Keefer Sutherland.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, I love him.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: He's great, he's such a good actor.
- 26:32Sean McAllister: I mean, on 24, that show is still to this day.
- 26:37Sean McAllister: I could put on a marathon and just be sucked into 24 like all day, all night.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, him and his dad, such good actors.
- 26:46Sean McAllister: Amazing.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: So when I saw this, I was like, wait a minute, I didn't even know Kiefer Sutherland performs music.
- 26:53Sean McAllister: He has a band.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: This is great.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: And they're coming to Vegas, and they're coming to Durango on July 2 uh nope, sorry, July 2nd.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, Kiefer is an actor, musician, producer, director, and he's bringing his Love Will Bring You Home tour to the Agave Ballroom.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: It's an eight o'clock show, tickets on sale now.
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: And this is Durango Casino that's in the southwest part of Las Vegas.
- 27:18Sean McAllister: And that's so fun that that he's going to be there.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: Like you would uh when I first heard that he was coming here, I was like, oh, where where on the strip is he going to be performing?
- 27:30Sean McAllister: But I think it's so cool that Durango got him.
- 27:33Sean McAllister: I know, and that it's gonna be at an off-strip property.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: And I mean, you've heard us talk about Durango before and how great that we think that property is too.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:43Sean McAllister: Um, this show is gonna be so much fun.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: I watched um some videos on his website because we were pulling some clips for our TV show, and I was like, wow, it's really good.
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah, he's good.
- 27:54Dayna Roselli: So I so I don't know.
- 27:56Dayna Roselli: We may have to make our way to that one.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: July 2nd at Durango.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: If you want to see Kiefer Sutherland, he's bringing his Love Will Bring You Home tour to the Agave Ballroom.
- 28:06Dayna Roselli: Whew, that's a show.
- 28:08Sean McAllister: That is a show.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: Any questions about anything?
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: You can always send us a text.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: We have a link in our show notes, so keep that in mind.
