- 0:06Speaker 1: We have got a TikTok hack or a TikTok whack
- 0:09Speaker 1: for you here today. And I am so disappointed because
- 0:13Speaker 1: Angie is the one who showed me this, and I'm
- 0:15Speaker 1: not saying you do this.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I said this to you because we've been discussing a
- 0:19Speaker 2: lot of my big back activities on the show and
- 0:23Speaker 2: I just wanted.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Your take on it. And you seem really disappointed.
- 0:27Speaker 2: This is this might be where I draw the line. Okay,
- 0:31Speaker 2: let's let's let's take a listen.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Take a listen here.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, we saw this hack on TikTok where you bring
- 0:36Speaker 1: a spray bottle and fill it up with butter.
- 0:38Speaker 4: You can spray it on the movie theater popcorn.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I hope it works.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You're telling me that little spray bottle that you know
- 0:46Speaker 1: one might use for cleaning supplies, or for wind decks
- 0:49Speaker 1: or to water their plants, you want to load up
- 0:54Speaker 1: with butder.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Okay, we're not movie theater, we're not animals. Gave But
- 1:00Speaker 2: what you do is you go buy a travel size
- 1:05Speaker 2: Oh that ray bottle.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Sorry, you're right, that justifies it. Yeah, my bad.
- 1:10Speaker 2: It's like for a little case, like a travel sized
- 1:13Speaker 2: case to take on the airplane or whatever.
- 1:15Speaker 3: It comes to the little spray bottle. It's like a dollar.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And then you go to the movie theater, you fill up,
- 1:20Speaker 2: you buy the popcorn, you fill it up with you know,
- 1:24Speaker 2: you pump all the butter in it, and then when
- 1:27Speaker 2: you're sitting you can EAT's like to evenly distribute butter
- 1:32Speaker 2: while you're eating.
- 1:33Speaker 3: And I feel like it's a TikTok hack.
- 1:35Speaker 1: That's genius. You sound so earnest while talking about this.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So because what about the bottle already put in it and.
- 1:44Speaker 3: It's not evenly coated?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Gabe, when you ask when you ask for butter at
- 1:49Speaker 2: the movie theater.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Oh, do you want butter on your popcorn? And you
- 1:53Speaker 3: say yes, they just kind of.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Do like a couple of pumps and kind of swirl
- 1:57Speaker 2: it around a little.
- 1:58Speaker 3: That doesn't evenly coat every everything.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Oh, because it has to be so evenly codd Yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Every piece needs to have butter on it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: When you get a plate of nachos and then there's
- 2:10Speaker 2: a bunch of the chips that don't have cheese on them,
- 2:13Speaker 2: do you like that game?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yes, Well you're not a big backup.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I want to tell you, what do you think?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Is this a TikTok hack you would consider trying seven
- 2:23Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one to nine eight seven.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You're calling this a TikTok hack. Yeah, I guess when
- 2:29Speaker 1: you put it like that, Yes, this would be a
- 2:31Speaker 1: good way to get your popcorn evenly coated with butter.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Yes, but I'm not doing this ever.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Never in my life am I spraying butter on my popcorn.
- 2:44Speaker 3: That's the difference between you and me.
- 2:46Speaker 1: All right, seven oh one two eight zero one, nine
- 2:48Speaker 1: eight seven. Is this is this a TikTok hack you
- 2:50Speaker 1: would be willing to try? We want to know this
- 2:53Speaker 1: morning you're on Big ninety eight point seven celebrating life's
- 2:59Speaker 1: little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude on Big
- 3:04Speaker 1: ninety eight points seven.
- 3:05Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:07Speaker 3: basket joke busted out when it was someone's acting hard
- 3:11Speaker 3: and I.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Just really needed to win, you know, sure your little
- 3:13Speaker 1: victories with us at seven oh one two eight oh
- 3:16Speaker 1: one eight seven.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Angie, do you have a little victory for us here today?
- 3:21Speaker 3: I do. I got blackout curtains. Was this already my
- 3:26Speaker 3: little victory the other day?
- 3:27Speaker 5: No?
- 3:28Speaker 4: You told me after OH got you?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yes, I got blackout curtains because this isn't some code
- 3:34Speaker 2: word for you drank too much, right, No, no, but
- 3:40Speaker 2: you know the time change and so this when there
- 3:43Speaker 2: is sun, it is out and bright, and I didn't
- 3:47Speaker 2: have any curtains on my windows because I'm not a
- 3:50Speaker 2: real adult. And finally I wanted to have better sleep health,
- 3:55Speaker 2: so I said, we got to get some blackout curtains.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So I picked them out, and naturally, Mike you put
- 4:00Speaker 2: them up because I can't do anything handy, and thank
- 4:03Speaker 2: God for him.
- 4:04Speaker 4: So yeah, I think that's wonderful. You know.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I also love that's the type of information you learn
- 4:09Speaker 1: here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:11Speaker 4: When the sun is out, it's out and bright.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I told you I'm not a real adult that includes
- 4:19Speaker 2: brain function.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Okay, well, Angie got my little victory, very short, sweet
- 4:26Speaker 1: and to the point. Yesterday at Unhinged, I did not think, well,
- 4:32Speaker 1: I knew you were gonna be there, and Mikey was
- 4:33Speaker 1: gonna be there, but I didn't think my wife Corey
- 4:36Speaker 1: would be here and then or be there, and she
- 4:38Speaker 1: ended up being able to make it, so we got
- 4:40Speaker 1: to have a nice, fun kind of double date time Unhinged,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I feel like it's been a minute since all four
- 4:45Speaker 1: of us, just the four of us, have all been
- 4:47Speaker 1: there just hanging out, and that was a lot of fun.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It was kind of cool to just sit and enjoy
- 4:51Speaker 1: a Thursday with you and Mikey and Corey all in
- 4:54Speaker 1: one roof.
- 4:55Speaker 3: It was a ton of fun. And I'm glad you
- 4:57Speaker 3: had fun. No, I'm kidding.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I had a great imored about your friend.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I had the greatest time. It's always nice when we
- 5:04Speaker 2: can double date. It makes me feel like an adult.
- 5:06Speaker 2: See checks and balances. I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 5:10Speaker 4: We thought, Ray coming up? Where is my husband?
- 5:13Speaker 1: As we continue on with our our flannel Friday morning
- 5:17Speaker 1: here on Big ninety eight point seven, Jason Kelsey, one
- 5:22Speaker 1: of our favorite former athletes, podcasters, NFL Live hosts, and.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Did a move that I think a lot of dads
- 5:30Speaker 4: can relate to.
- 5:31Speaker 2: He let his kids watch Tombstone, which is not an
- 5:35Speaker 2: appropriate film for children.
- 5:38Speaker 3: But I love that movie, but I didn't see it
- 5:40Speaker 3: when I was a child.
- 5:41Speaker 2: However, there are some movies I saw as a child
- 5:45Speaker 2: that my mom was like, let's all watch this movie together,
- 5:49Speaker 2: and then afterward I was traumatized and thought, why would you.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Let us see this, so we want to hear from you.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Seven oh one two eight oh one nine eight seven
- 5:58Speaker 2: call us text us. We've also got this up on
- 6:01Speaker 2: the big ninety points. I've on Facebook page. What movie
- 6:05Speaker 2: did you watch as a kid that you absolutely should
- 6:08Speaker 2: not have watched?
- 6:10Speaker 3: For me?
- 6:11Speaker 2: It was Face Off, starring Nicholas Cage and John Travalta.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It's an action movie. It's an incredible movie. I love
- 6:19Speaker 2: this movie. However, I watched it when I was ten
- 6:22Speaker 2: years old, and I should not have watched it when.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I was ten years old.
- 6:26Speaker 2: There's literally a scene where there are people who get
- 6:29Speaker 2: tied up and gagged and doused with gasoline and set
- 6:32Speaker 2: on fire.
- 6:33Speaker 3: And why my mom thought this is a great family
- 6:37Speaker 3: film is beyond me.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I think she just liked John Travalta and Nicholas Cage
- 6:43Speaker 2: and thought could be fun for the fam.
- 6:47Speaker 3: And I did love it. It just really trying. There's
- 6:50Speaker 3: a lot of situations.
- 6:51Speaker 2: In fact, what I just said is mild in comparison
- 6:53Speaker 2: to the rest of the movie. But I kind of
- 6:57Speaker 2: think that being traumatized the movie builds character.
- 7:02Speaker 4: That's right. You gotta go through some adversity.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Yeah, what about you? Gabe did you watch something that
- 7:07Speaker 3: Easter meant?
- 7:08Speaker 1: I will never forget this, and I think because of
- 7:11Speaker 1: the fact that it was Easter, Okay, it really sticks out.
- 7:15Speaker 1: But the Easter Bunny had stopped by our house and
- 7:19Speaker 1: in my Easter basket, I had my candy, like the
- 7:22Speaker 1: Easter Bunny brings to many kids. And there was also
- 7:25Speaker 1: the movie Men in Black. Now, the movie itself really
- 7:30Speaker 1: not that bad, but I was I think like six
- 7:34Speaker 1: or five. I was very young, which made my sister
- 7:37Speaker 1: three and my older brother seven eight years old, and
- 7:42Speaker 1: we're all sitting around on Easter Sunday, you know, quite
- 7:46Speaker 1: literally the Lord's Day, and we're watching Men in Black
- 7:50Speaker 1: and like, I don't know, thirty five forty minutes into
- 7:53Speaker 1: this movie, my mom goes, well, I don't think the
- 7:57Speaker 1: Easter Bunny meant to put that in your Easter basket.
- 8:00Speaker 4: That might not be up.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And it's not like the movie's inherently bad, but there's
- 8:04Speaker 1: just a lot of bad, like foul language.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's just when you're little, you're like, you
- 8:10Speaker 2: don't expect that that's the thing that you're going to
- 8:12Speaker 2: be watching.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And we're all sitting there, you know, we got our
- 8:15Speaker 1: Easter Sunday best on this movie that has a lot
- 8:20Speaker 1: of foul language. Now awesome flick. We finished it. We
- 8:23Speaker 1: didn't turn it off. But I learned a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 1: new words that day.
- 8:27Speaker 3: That's so incredible.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Stephanie commented on the Facebook page she watched hell Raiser
- 8:35Speaker 2: when she was like eight years old.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Nightmares for sure.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever seen that. Does that
- 8:41Speaker 1: have that like creepy dude in it?
- 8:43Speaker 2: And it has like he has all his hands out
- 8:45Speaker 2: of his head. Yeah, I never watched it because I
- 8:49Speaker 2: think it looks too scary and I'm thirty eight years old.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I'm not watching that now.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I like this.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Eric said, and very fittingly, he watched Friday the Thirteenth
- 8:59Speaker 2: when he was young and shouldn't have.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Today is Friday the.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Thirteenth, but I feel like it's a lucky Friday the
- 9:05Speaker 2: thirteenth because it's so close to Saint Patrick's day.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Well, Eric, you're gonna have to run that back.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I don't know if you have kids or not, Eric,
- 9:10Speaker 1: but if you do, today is to day to day
- 9:13Speaker 1: than today. Yeah, Angie has been a resident slanguage expert.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Is what I like to tell you.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, whenever there's a new cool term phrase that the
- 9:26Speaker 1: kids are using.
- 9:27Speaker 4: You happen to have a fifteen and is he almost nine? About?
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he'll be nine next month, about to.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Be nine year old. So you're kind of up on
- 9:34Speaker 1: what the cool kids are saying.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I pick up what they're putting down. Oh my gosh.
- 9:40Speaker 3: No one says that.
- 9:41Speaker 1: The fact that we just use those two sentences shows
- 9:44Speaker 1: that we are in our young thirties.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But yeah, I think I know some things like choppel
- 9:50Speaker 2: ganger was one, and the newest one is a mute
- 9:54Speaker 2: your mic someone to be quiet.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Well, Angie, you don't know this, but I have teamed
- 9:58Speaker 1: up with young age aid in here and we got
- 10:01Speaker 1: a little quiz for you, like a slang quiz slang quid. Yes,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I asked a give me a couple of these slang terms.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Now I think you'll do okay, But you never know.
- 10:13Speaker 1: There might be a trickster one in here.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Great, let me prove my worth as a slanguage expert.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Well, we'll start it off with an easy one. This
- 10:23Speaker 1: is one that you frequently use right here on Big
- 10:25Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 10:26Speaker 4: What okay, Angie? What is a battie?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Is it a shy person who avoids attention, a confidence, stylish,
- 10:34Speaker 1: an attractive woman, or someone who causes trouble everywhere.
- 10:38Speaker 2: You know, sometimes it's a combo of the second and third.
- 10:42Speaker 1: That's right. What would you pick there? I the second one,
- 10:46Speaker 1: that's right, A confident, stylish and attractive woman.
- 10:49Speaker 3: However, I call myself a battie, and I don't.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Think I applied you just cause trouble.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Take it till you make it, Yes, I I anybody
- 10:58Speaker 2: who is doing athletics at NDSU, I call them buys
- 11:02Speaker 2: and batties.
- 11:02Speaker 4: That's right.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, angie. What does chud the hud refer to?
- 11:08Speaker 1: Is it excellent or amazing? Bad, terrible? Or poor quality?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Or extremely expensive?
- 11:15Speaker 3: A poor quality?
- 11:16Speaker 4: That is correct. You're two for two, all right.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Cud is just an ugly word.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I figured I got two more for you here, okay,
- 11:23Speaker 1: and this is one that I use frequently.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Okay, all right?
- 11:27Speaker 1: What does gas mean? Does it mean excellent? Awesome or great?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Boring or disappointing or old fashioned and outdated?
- 11:37Speaker 3: The first one great good.
- 11:40Speaker 4: That's exactly right.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, if your kid is ever sitting down, you just
- 11:43Speaker 1: made an awesome home cooked meal, maybe out of the
- 11:45Speaker 1: crockpot and your son walks home from school and comes
- 11:48Speaker 1: in the door and he smells that chicken and cream
- 11:51Speaker 1: a mushroom sitting in that crock pot for four to
- 11:54Speaker 1: six hours, and he walks in. He goes, oh, this
- 11:56Speaker 1: stuff is so gas. That's good.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that because you do use that, and
- 12:01Speaker 2: that's how I learned it.
- 12:03Speaker 4: All right, Angie, I have one more for you.
- 12:05Speaker 3: All right?
- 12:06Speaker 4: What does aura mean in pop culture?
- 12:10Speaker 3: Oh?
- 12:10Speaker 2: My gosh, you know, I feel like I don't know
- 12:13Speaker 2: how to describe it.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Don't just give me a multiple choice.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I just know you always say you have aura, which
- 12:21Speaker 2: I guess like when you just exude a coolness and
- 12:26Speaker 2: it's similar to riz. This is so embarrassing for me.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It really just kind of means like you exuberate, like
- 12:33Speaker 1: a confidence.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you exude confidence. You just have like a swagger
- 12:37Speaker 3: about you.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I think at some point they we're calling it BD.
- 12:40Speaker 2: That's the generation I'm from. Yeah, so yeah, aura, which,
- 12:44Speaker 2: by the way, you have.
- 12:45Speaker 3: None of.
- 12:50Speaker 4: This is am I the problem.
- 12:52Speaker 3: It's the problem.
- 12:56Speaker 2: It's me.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 13:00Speaker 1: am I the problem with you decide if it's right
- 13:02Speaker 1: or if maybe you're the problem.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I'm hardly the problem on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Hi, gab and Angie, this is Tia. I always send
- 13:12Speaker 2: my little victories.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Well, thank you for that.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I want to know if I'm the problem at work.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I was asked to transfer departments to help my boss
- 13:19Speaker 2: with his new role in the company.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I agreed because it's a little bit of a.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Pay bump, but they've also asked me to train my
- 13:26Speaker 2: replacement for my previous position. I'm a team player, so
- 13:29Speaker 2: of course I didn't mind. But turns out my replacement
- 13:33Speaker 2: doesn't seem to really care about the job at all.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And that's fine, but I'm not going to go above
- 13:39Speaker 2: and beyond when they're not even interested. Essentially, I just
- 13:42Speaker 2: showed her the basics, and that's that. My old co
- 13:46Speaker 2: workers in the department have been telling me all the
- 13:49Speaker 2: ways she keeps screwing up, and now I feel Now
- 13:53Speaker 2: I'm feeling a little guilty that I didn't train her
- 13:56Speaker 2: as much as I said I would at first. Should
- 13:58Speaker 2: I feel bad about this? What are your thoughts? Seven
- 14:01Speaker 2: oh one two eight zho one nine eight seven. Should
- 14:04Speaker 2: Tia feel bad that she didn't train her replacement as
- 14:07Speaker 2: thoroughly as she said she would. I'll tell you this
- 14:10Speaker 2: right now, Tia, Nope, don't feel bad, not even a
- 14:13Speaker 2: little bit.
- 14:14Speaker 3: That's not your job anymore.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You've moved on, and I bet you have to do
- 14:18Speaker 2: your new job in addition to training her, and that's
- 14:23Speaker 2: too much work.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Okay. I believe in work life balance, so I think
- 14:28Speaker 3: it's fine. If she didn't seem like she cared, then
- 14:31Speaker 3: why should you care.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I don't believe in caring more for something than the
- 14:35Speaker 2: person who it actually affects.
- 14:37Speaker 3: That's ridiculous. Yeah, so if this girl.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Don't really care about her job, then she probably don't
- 14:41Speaker 2: really care about screwing up.
- 14:42Speaker 3: So, Tia, no, don't feel bad.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But I do think it is endearing that you feel
- 14:47Speaker 2: a little bit guilty because that shows character.
- 14:50Speaker 3: But don't feel bad. What do you think more?
- 14:52Speaker 4: All right?
- 14:53Speaker 1: I think this is a little more of a gray
- 14:56Speaker 1: area thing for me. If the job that you have
- 15:02Speaker 1: and the processes that you have to go through, if
- 15:04Speaker 1: like screwing those up directly affects another person, then yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 1: I would feel bad and you really probably should have
- 15:11Speaker 1: trained her a lot better. Now, if you're working, you
- 15:14Speaker 1: know this is a terrible example. But if you're working
- 15:17Speaker 1: for like Amazon or Walmart and your little screw ups
- 15:20Speaker 1: or whatever. They're not gonna shut Amazon or Walmart down right. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's like not just keep it pushing. They have people
- 15:26Speaker 1: in and out doing those jobs getting hired fired every day,
- 15:29Speaker 1: literally every single day. But let's say I had to
- 15:34Speaker 1: leave Big ninety eight point seven and someone had to
- 15:35Speaker 1: come in here, Angie, and they had to run the
- 15:37Speaker 1: board and run all this stuff, and I didn't train
- 15:41Speaker 1: them well enough, and that really affected you. I would
- 15:44Speaker 1: feel bad that I didn't do a good job because
- 15:46Speaker 1: that affects you directly.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Well, you should feel bad, exactly.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So I think it kind of depends on the job
- 15:54Speaker 1: you have or what the job is to whether or
- 15:57Speaker 1: not you should feel bad. So I guess I don't
- 15:58Speaker 1: answer this question at all.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Great, you're so helpful.
- 16:02Speaker 2: This is why we have you seven oh one two
- 16:05Speaker 2: eight oh one nine eight seven text us call us.
- 16:08Speaker 2: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 16:10Speaker 2: point seven Facebook page.
- 16:11Speaker 1: And tee, if you're listening, give me a little bit
- 16:13Speaker 1: of a follow up. You know, I feel like, tell
- 16:14Speaker 1: me where you work or anything like that, or if
- 16:16Speaker 1: you really couldn't care less about my opinion. That's fine too,
- 16:18Speaker 1: but what is the job that would really kind of uh,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think, help me answer this a little bit better.
- 16:29Speaker 2: The problem Fia wanted to know she's the problem. Because
- 16:33Speaker 2: she switched apartments at work, she was asked to train
- 16:36Speaker 2: her replacement. She said she would, but when she realized
- 16:40Speaker 2: her replacement wasn't that invested and didn't seem to care
- 16:43Speaker 2: about the job, she was like, eh, I'll just show
- 16:46Speaker 2: her the basics and move on with my life.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And that's exactly what she did.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But now her old coworkers are telling her how the
- 16:52Speaker 2: replacement keeps screwing all these things up, and she wants
- 16:55Speaker 2: to know if she's the problem for not training her
- 16:58Speaker 2: as thoroughly as she said she would.
- 17:00Speaker 1: That's a very human and honest response. I think, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 1: there's some people like I would never there are tons
- 17:07Speaker 1: of people who have done this to yes, who are like,
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be here.
- 17:10Speaker 4: What do I care? This is?
- 17:11Speaker 5: You know?
- 17:12Speaker 1: I think I think it depends on the job. That's
- 17:15Speaker 1: all I've kind of decided on this.
- 17:17Speaker 2: We also posted this on the Big ninety eight point
- 17:19Speaker 2: seven Facebook page. On my end, I said, girl, you're
- 17:23Speaker 2: not the problem. She doesn't care about her job. Why
- 17:26Speaker 2: do you have to You've moved on with your life,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and I thought everyone was gonna agree with me and
- 17:30Speaker 2: I am wrong.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's kind of fair in a sense, though, like you
- 17:33Speaker 1: can't make people care about where they work or what
- 17:35Speaker 1: their job is.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Well, Michelle said, sounds like you know your answer, so
- 17:41Speaker 2: she thinks you're the problem.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah, like t is feeling a little guilty and just
- 17:45Speaker 1: had to kind of get it off her chest a
- 17:46Speaker 1: little bit.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Francis said, you may not be the direct problem,
- 17:50Speaker 2: but you certainly created it.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Hopefully you went.
- 17:52Speaker 2: To management with this and didn't give up on the
- 17:54Speaker 2: person you were charged with training.
- 17:57Speaker 3: I just feel I get where these people are.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Coming from, but I can't care about your job more
- 18:04Speaker 2: than you do, right, So, like, why am I gonna
- 18:07Speaker 2: go above and beyond if you're not even interested? So
- 18:09Speaker 2: that I feel like it's the replacement's fault if you're
- 18:13Speaker 2: screwing up now, Like, well, maybe you should have cared
- 18:15Speaker 2: more in the first place.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think you're the problem.
- 18:19Speaker 4: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't
- 18:21Speaker 4: make it drink. You know.
- 18:22Speaker 2: That's I'm surprised you got the same correct you never
- 18:25Speaker 2: get it right ever.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Ever.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Ever, Now, Lisa did kind of agree with you here,
- 18:31Speaker 1: Angie as unfortunately, you can't make people care about their jobs.
- 18:34Speaker 1: That is true. The person training if they really do
- 18:38Speaker 1: want to do a good job and be successful at it,
- 18:40Speaker 1: the person who should care the most is them, not
- 18:42Speaker 1: the They should be asking more questions or things they
- 18:45Speaker 1: don't understand, not just assuming the person training them in
- 18:48Speaker 1: is gonna lead them to success.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Well, Amanda said, if all the ways the replacement is
- 18:53Speaker 2: screwing up is because of a lack of training, did
- 18:57Speaker 2: you ask the person about their lack of interest to
- 19:00Speaker 2: think you could have trained them on how you did it.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, let us know what you think. It's a very
- 19:04Speaker 1: I think there's both answers could be right here.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Yeah. Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Let us know what you think. This morning.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yesterday I found out that I snitched on Angie to
- 19:17Speaker 1: her boyfriend Mikey. Now it was not it was not
- 19:20Speaker 1: on purpose, but what happened at Unhinged yesterday.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Okay, so we're at Unhinged.
- 19:24Speaker 2: We're having a little bit. It's a big happy hour.
- 19:26Speaker 2: We do it every Thursday from five to seven. You
- 19:28Speaker 2: should come by.
- 19:29Speaker 4: It's a blast, it's a great time.
- 19:30Speaker 2: But it also served as a little bit of a
- 19:32Speaker 2: double date night for me, Gabe, his wife, and my Mikey.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I hate my boyfriend, but we're so old that I
- 19:39Speaker 2: feel like it's weird to say boyfriend.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Anyway, that's what he is.
- 19:42Speaker 2: So we're hanging out and Corey orders their little mini doughnuts. Yep,
- 19:49Speaker 2: and I mean, I'm not gonna lie. Those things looked incredible.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And you're not much of a sweet tooth. Nope, Mikey is.
- 19:58Speaker 2: And so we were all just kind of bonding over
- 20:00Speaker 2: the donuts, and you weren't that interested in the donuts.
- 20:04Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 20:05Speaker 2: However, then you said, oh, first Angie and then my
- 20:10Speaker 2: wife with the donuts.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I can't escape the two of you in donuts.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Yes, because yesterday during the show, per my Big Back Ways.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I was hungry. I didn't bring anything to eat, and.
- 20:21Speaker 2: So naturally I thought order Sandy's donuts. So I ordered
- 20:24Speaker 2: Sandy's Donuts and I did. Yeah, it's a problem with that.
- 20:30Speaker 2: But what Gabe didn't know is that Mikey and I
- 20:35Speaker 2: had a conversation about my donut ordering habits, and he
- 20:38Speaker 2: said to me, hey, don't order donuts. If you want them,
- 20:43Speaker 2: I will just pick them up for you. Save yourself
- 20:47Speaker 2: a delivery feed all yeah, and tipping whatever. I will
- 20:52Speaker 2: just go pick them up for you and take them
- 20:54Speaker 2: to you. And so I agreed to this, and then
- 20:58Speaker 2: what did I do just days later?
- 21:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 21:00Speaker 3: I ordered Sandy's donuts. Okay.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I didn't have time to text him and see what
- 21:05Speaker 2: he was doing with his life.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I needed the donuts.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Now, Wow, I got a problem.
- 21:11Speaker 2: So yesterday, when we're talking about the donuts, He's like, yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 2: first Angie, and then you. And then I looked at
- 21:16Speaker 2: Mike and I said, oh, yeah, I ordered donuts and
- 21:19Speaker 2: the look of disappointment, and then Gabe looked like a
- 21:23Speaker 2: kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar,
- 21:25Speaker 2: because he was like.
- 21:26Speaker 3: What did I just do?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Right?
- 21:28Speaker 4: And so here is the situation, right. I love Angie.
- 21:31Speaker 1: She is, you know, my teammate, my cohort, my partner
- 21:34Speaker 1: in crime here on Big ninety eight point seven. There's
- 21:36Speaker 1: actually almost nothing I would do to sell out Angie ever,
- 21:41Speaker 1: thank you. But I do love Mikey. Him and I
- 21:43Speaker 1: have played golf together, we've hung out together. We always
- 21:46Speaker 1: joke about being the Toyota Tacoma truck buddies. We text.
- 21:51Speaker 1: It's a wonderful relationship, I know, and I love this.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I would never lie to Mikey. There's very few people
- 21:56Speaker 1: I would lie to in general. So I don't know
- 21:59Speaker 1: what should I do in this situation moving forward. Do
- 22:03Speaker 1: I betray Angie and put bros Before co hosts? Or
- 22:09Speaker 1: or do I have Angie's back and dive into her
- 22:13Speaker 1: lying ways with Mikey? What would you do? You've definitely
- 22:18Speaker 1: been in a situation where you had a friend and
- 22:20Speaker 1: another friend and.
- 22:21Speaker 4: One of them was kind of lying or whatever.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and you didn't know what to do, and I
- 22:24Speaker 1: need help seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 22:26Speaker 1: eight seven.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Obviously I think you have my back.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Well, I know you would think that. I mean, not
- 22:32Speaker 1: shocked if you went the other way.
- 22:34Speaker 4: You know what I mean. I need some good starting
- 22:42Speaker 4: off the day with something good. This is Gabe's good News.
- 22:46Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight point seven, a Fargo woman is
- 22:51Speaker 1: helping TSA workers affected by the government shutdown. Crystal Duker,
- 22:56Speaker 1: a member of the Fargo Lions Club, delivered nearly fourth
- 22:59Speaker 1: th thousand dollars in gas station gift cards to TSA
- 23:03Speaker 1: employees at Hector International Airport to help them cover transportation
- 23:08Speaker 1: costs while they work without pay.
- 23:10Speaker 5: This is just a way to help them know how
- 23:12Speaker 5: much they're appreciated. Every day, these TSA workers are showing
- 23:17Speaker 5: up sometimes four am in the morning to process the passengers,
- 23:21Speaker 5: going on about their business, and it just dawned on me,
- 23:24Speaker 5: what is it that we the public, we the people.
- 23:26Speaker 5: What can we do? Some people have been using ubers
- 23:29Speaker 5: because they probably didn't have gas money, So to be
- 23:32Speaker 5: part of solving that problem brings me joy.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Now, Crystal says, the goal obviously is to show appreciation
- 23:37Speaker 1: and to help the workers get to their shifts, and
- 23:39Speaker 1: she plans to bring gift cards to TSA workers at
- 23:43Speaker 1: regional airports in Jamestown and Aberdeen next So there are
- 23:48Speaker 1: some people obviously going through some things with TSA and
- 23:51Speaker 1: Crystal is doing the best she can, which is a ton,
- 23:54Speaker 1: to try to help these people still get to their shifts.
- 23:56Speaker 4: And I commend her for that. I think that's so sweet.
- 23:59Speaker 2: That is so inc incredibly kind, especially with gas prices skyrocketing.
- 24:05Speaker 2: What an incredible thing for an individual to just take
- 24:08Speaker 2: it upon herself to do that.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Kudos to you girl.
- 24:11Speaker 1: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 24:13Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
