- 1:38Speaker 1: tickets left. Everything else for the rest of the fall
- 1:41Speaker 1: is also at heathermcdolland.net. So this is a crazy, sad,
- 1:46Speaker 1: tragic story about a billionaire's mega sailing yacht that sank.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I mean, or it capsized. It was horrible. It was,
- 1:58Speaker 1: these people were on a big vacation. This man was
- 2:04Speaker 1: celebrating the fact that he had been in court for
- 2:08Speaker 1: many years facing a fraud charge. He and his partner,
- 2:12Speaker 1: they sold their business to Hewlett Packard and they sold
- 2:18Speaker 1: it for $ 11 billion. Well, shortly after that, they said,
- 2:22Speaker 1: wait a minute, this, This isn't worth more than three.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You lied about $ 8. 8 billion of what it was worth.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So they were fighting in court this fraud charge for years,
- 2:36Speaker 1: like nine years or something it went on for. And
- 2:40Speaker 1: the guy prevailed. And so he wanted to have a
- 2:44Speaker 1: beautiful vacation with his wife and his daughter and celebrate this.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And so they went on this yacht trip with 12
- 2:52Speaker 1: passengers and 10 crew members. A size this, a yacht
- 2:57Speaker 1: this size, no matter how big it is, you can
- 2:59Speaker 1: only have 12 people spend the night. Like if you
- 3:04Speaker 1: wanted a party of 30, then you could. But if
- 3:06Speaker 1: they're spending the night, no matter how big the yacht is,
- 3:08Speaker 1: even if it could house 100, then it has to
- 3:11Speaker 1: be a commercial vessel. So they had the 12 people
- 3:14Speaker 1: and 10 crew members, like a captain, a chef, all
- 3:17Speaker 1: of that, like you see on Below Deck, except it
- 3:19Speaker 1: was a sailing thing. And the way I understand it
- 3:22Speaker 1: is there is this weird freak storm that happened. They
- 3:25Speaker 1: were just like just, I guess, hanging out, not currently sailing,
- 3:29Speaker 1: but maybe during the night had anchored or something. All
- 3:32Speaker 1: those details are a little sketchy. And, you know, water
- 3:36Speaker 1: started coming in and people were thrown outside of the boat.
- 3:41Speaker 1: One woman was an attorney for the law firm that
- 3:45Speaker 1: got him off of these fraud charges. And she and
- 3:49Speaker 1: her husband survived along with their one-year-old baby. But for
- 3:52Speaker 1: like an hour, she even said at one point it
- 3:54Speaker 1: was so dark and the water was so rough that
- 3:56Speaker 1: she lost her one-year-old child for a minute. And she
- 3:59Speaker 1: was able to hold the one-year-old above the water until nightfall.
- 4:02Speaker 1: they were able to join some of the other people
- 4:05Speaker 1: in the lifeboat. Then, of course, people came and tried
- 4:09Speaker 1: to rescue. This has been going on for a few
- 4:11Speaker 1: days now. They've had different diving groups go down, though
- 4:15Speaker 1: they can't stay down there very long. They're looking through
- 4:17Speaker 1: windows to see if anybody is surviving or if they
- 4:20Speaker 1: can see anybody in the cabins. It's really tragic. And
- 4:26Speaker 1: six of the people that are missing, one is the
- 4:29Speaker 1: billionaire owner who was facing that charge, along with his daughter,
- 4:33Speaker 1: his wife, made it. And then, of course, four other
- 4:36Speaker 1: people are missing. Now, what's very weird involving this case
- 4:43Speaker 1: is that the missing tech tycoon, Mike Lynch, that's the
- 4:46Speaker 1: man who is still missing, and it was his yacht
- 4:49Speaker 1: that had this happen to, his partner died after being
- 4:54Speaker 1: hit by a car just a couple days prior. He
- 4:57Speaker 1: was riding his bike. And he got hit by a
- 5:00Speaker 1: car and he died just a couple days prior to
- 5:03Speaker 1: this yacht weird freaky thing happening. So you can imagine
- 5:09Speaker 1: the talk that's happening and the comments and whatnot. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: even the way people and Daily Mail are writing it,
- 5:15Speaker 1: they're like, yeah, this seems strange. However, they won. They
- 5:20Speaker 1: weren't like facing jail time. They weren't facing a big payment.
- 5:24Speaker 1: They actually succeeded in this. So if you did think
- 5:28Speaker 1: there was foul play on either end, who would be
- 5:32Speaker 1: doing that? Or maybe there is no foul play or
- 5:34Speaker 1: maybe there's other business dealings that these two who knows
- 5:38Speaker 1: if you want to try to draw something, but it
- 5:40Speaker 1: could just be a very strange, sad, and tragic coincidence.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It was an $ 11 billion fraud trial. That's what it
- 5:49Speaker 1: was about. It was about $ 11 billion, like I said,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and they felt that 8.8 of those billions were fraudulent
- 5:56Speaker 1: in when they were doing their accounting to sell the company.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But in the end, they won, celebrated, and then this
- 6:02Speaker 1: horrible thing happened. So We'll see. It seems like these things,
- 6:06Speaker 1: whenever we're like, what's going on with it? You know,
- 6:08Speaker 1: this is strange. And then it just like goes away.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And then like, you're always like, whatever happened to that
- 6:14Speaker 1: weird story? So I don't know. I hope that they
- 6:18Speaker 1: keep researching it. I hope these people are found, but
- 6:22Speaker 1: it's bizarre. Okay. A little, little update. Now, Brandon, Sklenner.
- 6:34Speaker 1: He is one of the other stars. So there are
- 6:36Speaker 1: three stars in the Blake Lively, It Ends With Us movie.
- 6:40Speaker 1: He made a statement on his Instagram, like, leave Blake
- 6:44Speaker 1: Lively alone. This social media hate is out of control.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Leave her alone. Like, if you want to see the movie,
- 6:51Speaker 1: see it. Don't, you know, just stop. And one of
- 6:55Speaker 1: the things that I've seen that people are doing like
- 6:58Speaker 1: kind of funny jokes about is the fact that, you know,
- 7:03Speaker 1: this was about domestic violence. And when she's promoting it,
- 7:06Speaker 1: since she's a producer, she was like, get your flowers,
- 7:08Speaker 1: grab your girlfriends, go see this movie. So then I've
- 7:12Speaker 1: seen these, um, several different like accounts of little comedic
- 7:17Speaker 1: videos of someone being like Schindler's list, you know, go
- 7:21Speaker 1: grab your friends and see what's on that piece of paper.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Like make, um, seven years a slave or, you know,
- 7:28Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff and making it like light
- 7:31Speaker 1: of it. And, but other people said, you know, they
- 7:35Speaker 1: were like, oh, Titanic, it'll get you wet. Come see it.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Now those movies, I don't think were necessarily promoted in
- 7:43Speaker 1: a way of like, get ready for a really sad,
- 7:46Speaker 1: awful movie. I mean, people weren't saying that on the
- 7:48Speaker 1: red carpet either. So I think that they, in some ways,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm a little bit now like, yeah, I think it's
- 7:54Speaker 1: time we lay off Blake Lively. Either you want to
- 7:56Speaker 1: go see the movie or you don't. I don't think
- 7:58Speaker 1: she thought this was going to be her Oscar movie.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I think that she thought it was a hit book,
- 8:03Speaker 1: wanted to do it. And she probably wasn't the only
- 8:07Speaker 1: one that said, you know, Why don't we change the
- 8:10Speaker 1: edit a little bit? Why don't we put out this trailer?
- 8:13Speaker 1: I mean, there's a whole group of people that come
- 8:16Speaker 1: out with trailers. However, I saw a new trailer. They've
- 8:19Speaker 1: created a new trailer because I did tell you the
- 8:22Speaker 1: first time I saw the trailer, I was like, what
- 8:24Speaker 1: is this about? And I definitely had no clue that
- 8:27Speaker 1: it involved domestic violence. Like literally there was... One thing
- 8:31Speaker 1: that showed like a glass being thrown and hitting the ground.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I would not think that was domestic violence. I think
- 8:36Speaker 1: that could be you alone being like, oh, you know,
- 8:39Speaker 1: it doesn't mean you're hurting somebody. It no way indicated
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's what the movie was about. The newest trailer does
- 8:45Speaker 1: a little bit, but still not a lot.
- 8:48Speaker 5: So.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I mean, I just I do find this is kind
- 8:52Speaker 1: of an interesting story about social media and promoting movies
- 8:57Speaker 1: of a certain caliber, you know, a certain subject matter
- 9:00Speaker 1: and whatnot. And kind of then getting the PR firm
- 9:04Speaker 1: involved and going after Blake Lively in a way of like, oh,
- 9:07Speaker 1: my God, she's always played bitches. Maybe she is. And
- 9:10Speaker 1: then finally to the point where, OK, I think a
- 9:13Speaker 1: week and a half of giving her shit is enough.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Leave her alone. But she hasn't made any statements. She
- 9:18Speaker 1: can't always turn off her phone and just like enjoy
- 9:21Speaker 1: her rich life and a cute husband and act like
- 9:24Speaker 1: this never happened in two weeks because no one will
- 9:26Speaker 1: be talking about it then. J-Lo and Ben. J-Lo has
- 9:30Speaker 1: finally filed for divorce. That was yesterday, which coincidentally, August
- 9:36Speaker 1: 20th was two years after her big celebratory Georgia plantation
- 9:43Speaker 1: or wherever it was, fabulous wedding. So two years to
- 9:47Speaker 1: the date, some people think that was kind of a
- 9:50Speaker 1: deliberate plan of when she was to file. The other
- 9:53Speaker 1: big scoop on that is there was no prenup. She's
- 9:56Speaker 1: worth approximately $ 400 million and he's worth $ 150 million. And
- 10:02Speaker 1: meaning they've been married for two years and there's no prenup.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So they are entitled to whatever money they made as
- 10:09Speaker 1: a couple, individually or not, as a couple, they're entitled
- 10:13Speaker 1: to split that amount if one wanted to pursue that.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It is my prediction, neither will pursue anyone's assets. They
- 10:23Speaker 1: just will like break whatever, if there was a property
- 10:26Speaker 1: together and they put in equal amounts, they'll take equal
- 10:29Speaker 1: amount out plus the profit split in half. I think
- 10:32Speaker 1: he's not going to fight anything. In it, she did
- 10:36Speaker 1: it without an attorney. So it's like there's no attorney
- 10:39Speaker 1: of record. And it is, you know, I just think
- 10:43Speaker 1: that it's going to be like, Let's just go our
- 10:46Speaker 1: separate ways. They're trying to sell the house they bought together.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So I think once that's sold, that'll probably be the
- 10:50Speaker 1: end of it. He already bought another house. She's currently
- 10:53Speaker 1: looking for one. You know, when she spent all this
- 10:56Speaker 1: time in the Hamptons riding her bike around and looking
- 10:59Speaker 1: at her Delola alcohol at the local BevMo, he was
- 11:04Speaker 1: never to be seen. He didn't attend her Bridgerton party.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's not like they had a like, oh, I just
- 11:09Speaker 1: didn't want to get up in a suit. I mean,
- 11:11Speaker 1: can you imagine like anything worse for Ben Affleck than
- 11:13Speaker 1: doing that? So I think she already knew it was over.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And she was like, you know what? If we were together,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I probably would have never had a Bridgerton party. I
- 11:20Speaker 1: probably would have had a Red Sox party and like
- 11:22Speaker 1: let you eat cheese balls. But no, I want this
- 11:25Speaker 1: and I'm doing my own thing. And I think she
- 11:28Speaker 1: wanted to wait two years so that it would say
- 11:31Speaker 1: two years, that it was at least a two-year marriage,
- 11:34Speaker 1: not 18 months or whenever we first started to hear
- 11:37Speaker 1: they were having problems. This is her fourth marriage, her
- 11:40Speaker 1: fourth divorce, and it's his second. And I think she's
- 11:45Speaker 1: pissed and I think she's humiliated. He pursued her after
- 11:49Speaker 1: the A-Rod thing. Now, A-Rod, to remind you guys, they
- 11:52Speaker 1: were engaged. They always dressed the same. He was down
- 11:57Speaker 1: to always wear like cream colors with her. Way back when,
- 12:00Speaker 1: when she was first with J-Lo, he would slick back
- 12:03Speaker 1: his hair and they would drive Rolls Royces around Beverly
- 12:06Speaker 1: Hills and he would get all dressed up. And then,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you know, that didn't work out. And from what I remember,
- 12:12Speaker 1: there was some type of cheating on his side. That's
- 12:15Speaker 1: what I recall. Not saying it's 100% proof. Then she
- 12:19Speaker 1: gets with A-Rod and turns out it gets exposed on
- 12:24Speaker 1: the Southern Charm reunion that Madison was in communication with A-Rod.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Right after that, she breaks up with A-Rod and then
- 12:35Speaker 1: Ben comes in. Some of the comments are like, what
- 12:38Speaker 1: about her kids? She has a twin, boy-girl twins. And
- 12:42Speaker 1: they are probably like 15-ish now, right around in between
- 12:47Speaker 1: the ages of the three kids of Ben Affleck. And
- 12:49Speaker 1: it always seemed like when they were together, it seemed
- 12:51Speaker 1: like the kids got along. Those kids also got along
- 12:53Speaker 1: with A-Rod's kids. You know, it's like, I do think
- 12:56Speaker 1: that is something that's you know, unfortunate when people get
- 13:00Speaker 1: divorced because with step siblings, there really is no tie.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Unlike a half sibling, there is no tie to like
- 13:07Speaker 1: hang out. Are we going to keep in touch? Are
- 13:08Speaker 1: we going to be Facebook friends? Not that they'd be Facebook,
- 13:12Speaker 1: but can we be TikTok friends? Whatever. I do think
- 13:14Speaker 1: that part is kind of sad, but hopefully she'll just
- 13:19Speaker 1: spend the next two years hanging out with her kids
- 13:22Speaker 1: until they go off to college or whatever they do
- 13:24Speaker 1: after high school and just chill and maybe just focus
- 13:28Speaker 1: on the Delilah or Delola or whatever the drink is.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Cause you know, she, she's not performing and who knows,
- 13:35Speaker 1: but It is interesting because, like I said before, when
- 13:39Speaker 1: he was interviewed, he had to be part of her
- 13:41Speaker 1: two projects, which she did not seem like he was
- 13:43Speaker 1: down for. He was not for it. And in that,
- 13:47Speaker 1: he said, I have an addiction to alcohol, but she
- 13:49Speaker 1: has an addiction. And I'm paraphrasing. She has an addiction
- 13:53Speaker 1: to fame, her fans, likes. being relevant. Like I said,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm paraphrasing. Basically, he said that was her addiction. And
- 14:03Speaker 1: he never was in this business to be famous. And
- 14:06Speaker 1: she is one of the most famous people. And so
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just don't think it was going to be a
- 14:11Speaker 1: match at 50. I think maybe if they'd gotten married
- 14:14Speaker 1: 20 years ago and they were 20 years younger, maybe
- 14:18Speaker 1: it actually would have sustained. But not when you're this
- 14:20Speaker 1: stuck in your ways, both of them. And they just
- 14:22Speaker 1: don't match. Like they just really are not similar personalities
- 14:25Speaker 1: at all. Ironically, this popped up yesterday. It was 10
- 14:31Speaker 1: years ago yesterday that I took a photo with J-Lo,
- 14:34Speaker 1: which was our last show of Chelsea Lately. Chelsea Lately,
- 14:37Speaker 1: which a lot of you know me from, ran for
- 14:41Speaker 1: seven and a half years and it ended just this
- 14:44Speaker 1: past week. And it's interesting that Juicy Scoop has gone
- 14:48Speaker 1: on longer. Juicy Scoop has been here for nine. So
- 14:52Speaker 1: I kind of think about my life pre-JS and after JS.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So here we are. Okay. He was seen, Ben Affleck
- 15:03Speaker 1: was seen with his ex-wife yesterday, the day of the filing. Look,
- 15:07Speaker 1: they have three kids together, one who is still like
- 15:10Speaker 1: in middle school. So there is a lot to be
- 15:12Speaker 1: doing with these kids. And I love that they're active
- 15:15Speaker 1: in co-parenting. So I think that is great. Chris Fragile
- 15:20Speaker 1: always joked about how Ben would like slam the door.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And I swear to God, if someone wants to put
- 15:25Speaker 1: a video together, the amount of times, I mean, in
- 15:30Speaker 1: a millimeter did he miss her crushing her ankle. Like
- 15:34Speaker 1: she would get in the backseat and then he would
- 15:36Speaker 1: get in the front and he would just slam it.
- 15:38Speaker 1: And I'm like, my God, like literally her foot just
- 15:41Speaker 1: got in and it's like an aggressive slam. And it
- 15:45Speaker 1: was those kinds of things, whether he meant to look
- 15:47Speaker 1: like that or not, it's the perception that we have
- 15:51Speaker 1: of this and we're just like he's not into it
- 15:54Speaker 1: he's a dick he's annoyed he isn't really caring he's
- 15:58Speaker 1: opening the door for her because maybe she says you
- 16:01Speaker 1: better do it maybe it's in his gentlemanly nature but
- 16:05Speaker 1: then with the slamming just like so you get people
- 16:08Speaker 1: talking and that's probably also why he doesn't like that
- 16:10Speaker 1: everything in his relationship was scrutinized by people like me
- 16:13Speaker 1: um Interesting connection to the show that I've been talking
- 16:17Speaker 1: about that's coming out on Hulu, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 16:20Speaker 1: This is about the 20-something young Mormon moms that took
- 16:25Speaker 1: over TikTok. They were so cute with their long locks
- 16:29Speaker 1: and their cute dancing. And then one girl one day said,
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm getting a divorce because we've been soft swapping with
- 16:35Speaker 1: the rest of the people in our TikTok mom group.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And all the other ones were like, what? And it
- 16:40Speaker 1: was a big scandal, but it led to a reality
- 16:45Speaker 1: show and they are bearing all and telling all. And
- 16:47Speaker 1: one of the girls is married to this guy, Zach Affleck,
- 16:51Speaker 1: who is actually related to Ben and his brother, Casey Affleck.
- 16:56Speaker 1: The way I understand from reading this People article is
- 17:00Speaker 1: this kid, because he's young, I Casey. So meaning this guy,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Zach Affleck, his grandmother is a sibling to Ben and
- 17:19Speaker 1: Casey Affleck's parent. I don't know which one. I don't
- 17:21Speaker 1: know if it's a mom or dad because somehow this
- 17:24Speaker 1: part of the family ended up being Mormon and living
- 17:27Speaker 1: in Utah because this kid is a full Mormon. He
- 17:30Speaker 1: went to a BYU. He did the mission. He married
- 17:33Speaker 1: this young girl. They have two kids and he's part
- 17:35Speaker 1: of this reality show. So you know, it's interesting. Like,
- 17:43Speaker 1: did they ever hang out? Did they ever go to
- 17:44Speaker 1: a family thing? Or was this this weird part of
- 17:46Speaker 1: their family that were like, oh, remember so-and-so? He married
- 17:49Speaker 1: that woman and then they became all Mormon. Oh, yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 1: we never talked to them. I don't know. But it's
- 17:54Speaker 1: interesting that he's now on this hot reality show. And
- 17:58Speaker 1: these are, in fact, his, it would be, I guess,
- 18:00Speaker 1: considered his second cousins. Let's talk about Scott Peterson, who,
- 18:07Speaker 1: along with the Ben Affleck portion of the show, Ben
- 18:11Speaker 1: Affleck played the lead in the movie Gone Girl. For
- 18:16Speaker 1: my youngins, if you have not seen Gone Girl, that
- 18:18Speaker 1: is an excellent Juicy Scoop movie. I thoroughly loved the book. Honestly,
- 18:23Speaker 1: if you're looking for a book to read and you
- 18:25Speaker 1: don't know anything about it, read the book. It does
- 18:29Speaker 1: not completely match what happened in Scott Peterson's life. But
- 18:34Speaker 1: it's my understanding it was the inspiration for this woman
- 18:37Speaker 1: to write about a fictional story because of the media
- 18:42Speaker 1: attention around Scott Peterson in 2002 when his wife went
- 18:45Speaker 1: missing on December 24th. I talked about this before. It's
- 18:53Speaker 1: Lacey Peterson, and this is her husband, Scott. So I'm
- 18:57Speaker 1: just going to get to, since I'm trusting that you
- 18:59Speaker 1: guys listen to every episode, I told you I was
- 19:02Speaker 1: going to listen. I watched the three-part documentary on Netflix.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I feel like I could get a PhD or at
- 19:10Speaker 1: least an A in a class about Scott Peterson. But
- 19:13Speaker 1: there's still things I'm learning, which is why, if you're
- 19:15Speaker 1: interested in it, it is still intriguing. This was... Peacocks,
- 19:21Speaker 1: and it just came out on Tuesday. And this too
- 19:23Speaker 1: was three parts. And this was the first interviews that
- 19:27Speaker 1: Scott Peterson, who was convicted of killing his pregnant wife,
- 19:31Speaker 1: he's been behind bars for 20 years and he was
- 19:36Speaker 1: on death row, but he was taken off death row
- 19:40Speaker 1: a couple of years ago and gotten life without parole.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And he was taken off that death row because they
- 19:47Speaker 1: found his people, his, his team of lawyers fought by
- 19:52Speaker 1: saying that the judge made a mistake in the jury.
- 19:57Speaker 1: In questioning the jury, he did something which you're not
- 20:02Speaker 1: supposed to do about the death penalty, saying, is anyone
- 20:05Speaker 1: totally for or totally against the death penalty? He either
- 20:08Speaker 1: was supposed to ask that question or not. And so
- 20:11Speaker 1: they decide to take him off of death row. So
- 20:16Speaker 1: one thing that his sister-in-law, who has really been at
- 20:19Speaker 1: the helm of his defense, who is married to his brother,
- 20:23Speaker 1: she actually went to law school and graduated cum laude,
- 20:28Speaker 1: I think, summa cum laude, just a little while ago.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I think she went to Southwestern, put herself through law
- 20:33Speaker 1: school because she'd spent so many years on this. And
- 20:36Speaker 1: it's interesting. She's like, we made sure that someone visited
- 20:40Speaker 1: him every week for eight years straight because that was
- 20:43Speaker 1: the only thing that was keeping him going while he
- 20:46Speaker 1: was on death row. Now I know there's someone driving
- 20:50Speaker 1: around going, Heather, he did it. I can't believe you're
- 20:53Speaker 1: talking about that. I can't believe the L.A. Innocence Project
- 20:56Speaker 1: has taken on this case. I have talked about the
- 20:59Speaker 1: fact that there are interesting things about this case that
- 21:03Speaker 1: I always remembered from the first time it was being
- 21:05Speaker 1: reported on to the final judgment to when it's popped
- 21:10Speaker 1: up over and over and over again. And that's basically
- 21:13Speaker 1: what this Peacock three-part series is about, is to, it
- 21:17Speaker 1: starts out, and it's a little boring, the first episode,
- 21:20Speaker 1: because if you are familiar with the case, it's basically
- 21:23Speaker 1: laying out the prosecution's case again, why they thought he
- 21:26Speaker 1: did it. Their story is they think that he either
- 21:34Speaker 1: killed her the night before or first thing in the
- 21:36Speaker 1: morning in a soft, in a soft, what they called
- 21:39Speaker 1: a soft kill, like a pillow over her face or something.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Then he wrapped her up and put her in his truck,
- 21:47Speaker 1: took the truck to his shop where he had computers
- 21:49Speaker 1: and stuff for where he sold fertilizer. And he also
- 21:52Speaker 1: had like this new fishing boat that's nothing fancy. He
- 21:56Speaker 1: then put her in that boat, hooked it up to
- 21:59Speaker 1: his truck, drove 90 miles, went into the San Francisco Bay,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and then use these homemade concrete anchors, which people do,
- 22:11Speaker 1: put them on her limbs and put her out to sea.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Then came home, not before leaving a voicemail message like, hey, sweetie,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I am just leaving fishing now, but I will see
- 22:27Speaker 1: you in a bit. And I can't get that basket
- 22:29Speaker 1: for Papa, but I can't wait to see you for
- 22:31Speaker 1: Christmas Eve dinner. He came home and took off his
- 22:37Speaker 1: clothes and washed them, took a shower, ate some pizza.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And then he called her mother who lived close by.
- 22:44Speaker 1: They were supposed to have Christmas Eve with the mother
- 22:46Speaker 1: that night and said, is Lacey there? And when she
- 22:51Speaker 1: said no, he goes, well, then she's missing. He called
- 22:54Speaker 1: the friends. She starts to panic. They start looking for her.
- 22:56Speaker 1: That's where we're at with that. So he has said
- 23:01Speaker 1: right from the first night that the cops came, the
- 23:03Speaker 1: two detectives, they said he overheard them saying, we think
- 23:07Speaker 1: it's him. So right from the start, he knew he
- 23:09Speaker 1: was a suspect. So one of the lies was. he
- 23:15Speaker 1: told the mom, oh, I was golfing. And that was
- 23:19Speaker 1: the first thing, I was golfing, when in fact he
- 23:21Speaker 1: was fishing. So if you listened to my last episode,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I predicted what he might say about some of these lies.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And most of them were right. One of the things
- 23:32Speaker 1: he said of why did you say you were golfing
- 23:34Speaker 1: when in fact you were fishing? Now, I think this
- 23:36Speaker 1: is interesting because they said... that Lacey, his wife, didn't
- 23:41Speaker 1: know about the boat. And he bought the boat a few,
- 23:45Speaker 1: like on December 9th. And so that's why they thought
- 23:49Speaker 1: it was premeditated, hence why he got the death penalty
- 23:52Speaker 1: because it was a premeditated murder. That's what they believe.
- 23:55Speaker 1: He said, I got the boat and Lacey did know
- 23:59Speaker 1: about the boat and we were going to surprise her
- 24:01Speaker 1: stepfather with the boat so that because we knew I
- 24:04Speaker 1: like fishing, he likes fishing, we'll take our son and
- 24:07Speaker 1: you know, once he's born and everything fishing with us.
- 24:10Speaker 1: They're also in the, in this one, they said that
- 24:13Speaker 1: there was somebody that gave their statement to the detective saying,
- 24:19Speaker 1: I saw Lacey at the place where we keep the
- 24:21Speaker 1: boat using the bathroom. So then that would go along
- 24:25Speaker 1: with the, he's telling the truth. Now she did know
- 24:27Speaker 1: about the boat, but maybe they were keeping a secret.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Maybe when he told, um, Lacey's mom, Hey, um, You know,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I went golfing first. Maybe he was still thinking she
- 24:38Speaker 1: would show up and he wanted to keep the secret
- 24:40Speaker 1: about the fishing. I know people are like, Heather, just
- 24:43Speaker 1: hear me out. So I thought, so that's one of
- 24:46Speaker 1: the things he said, which was one of the things
- 24:47Speaker 1: I predicted.

- 25:28Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 25:32Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 25:35Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 25:39Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 25:47Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 25:48Speaker 5: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 25:51Speaker 5: what would you do if it was given back?
- 25:53Speaker 3: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 25:56Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved? He said,
- 25:59Speaker 3: I have a work dad.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I need a home dad. What happens next? When I
- 26:02Speaker 1: came in, he started crying.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 26:08Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 26:10Speaker 3: happens next.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 26:14Speaker 1: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 26:16Speaker 5: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 26:18Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 26:20Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Men, they don't find anything. They don't find a struggle.
- 26:38Speaker 1: They don't find anything weird in the house that a
- 26:41Speaker 1: stranger would come or that he did anything where they
- 26:45Speaker 1: were fighting and things broke. And they don't have a body.
- 26:50Speaker 1: But this becomes a huge media storm. And one of
- 26:54Speaker 1: the reasons it became such a big media storm is
- 26:56Speaker 1: someone in Scott Peterson's family, a stepmother of, I think,
- 27:00Speaker 1: the sister-in-law, she used to work in PR. So she
- 27:03Speaker 1: was able to send out a press announcement. And that
- 27:07Speaker 1: is why this became such a big story. Also, she
- 27:10Speaker 1: was attractive. It was Christmas Eve. She was pregnant. And
- 27:14Speaker 1: it became the biggest story. And at that time, it
- 27:17Speaker 1: was all about tabloids and all these shows like Larry
- 27:21Speaker 1: King and Nancy Grace. And the media really got a
- 27:26Speaker 1: lot of hits from it. Just like when just like
- 27:29Speaker 1: six months ago when every article was about Taylor Swift.
- 27:33Speaker 1: People know if they just put Taylor Swift in an article,
- 27:36Speaker 1: they get more clicks. They are told by their boss,
- 27:38Speaker 1: write about Taylor Swift. So this was the same thing.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Write about Scott Peterson. Write about... People can't get enough
- 27:45Speaker 1: of the story. I couldn't get enough of the story.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I related. I was similar in age. I had a
- 27:50Speaker 1: small baby boy at the time, Drake. I saw them
- 27:53Speaker 1: as a couple that seemed interesting, you know, like that
- 27:56Speaker 1: I would be friends with. Like, It just seemed like,
- 27:58Speaker 1: oh my God, this is crazy. Then of course it
- 28:00Speaker 1: comes out that he is having an affair with this woman,
- 28:03Speaker 1: Amber Fry. And after a few days of her missing,
- 28:06Speaker 1: she calls the police and says, I'm his girlfriend. They
- 28:09Speaker 1: go to her, they go, we're going to start recording
- 28:11Speaker 1: phone calls. He calls her and he's very loving in
- 28:14Speaker 1: the calls. They use all these calls of the transcript
- 28:18Speaker 1: in the trial and they're damaging. They're like, you're so,
- 28:22Speaker 1: so special, Amber. I just know that I just miss
- 28:27Speaker 1: you and I feel our arms around you. Now, I
- 28:30Speaker 1: predicted he's going to say, I just wanted to keep
- 28:33Speaker 1: her happy and I didn't want her to freak out
- 28:36Speaker 1: and go to the police because the minute the police
- 28:38Speaker 1: knew about her, then it would be about me having
- 28:40Speaker 1: an affair and they'd stop looking for Lacey. And I
- 28:43Speaker 1: wanted the attention to look on Lacey. I kind of
- 28:47Speaker 1: believe that kind of don't. What I do think is, yeah,
- 28:49Speaker 1: he wanted to keep her from running to the police.
- 28:51Speaker 1: He wanted to keep her happy. I don't believe that
- 28:55Speaker 1: he ever– whether you believe he killed his wife or not,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I don't think he did it so he could spend
- 29:00Speaker 1: the rest of his life with Amber Fry. Maybe he
- 29:02Speaker 1: did it so he could have a life of– of
- 29:05Speaker 1: being a single guy, but he was getting away with
- 29:08Speaker 1: being single. There were accounts that he was like flirty
- 29:13Speaker 1: and appeared as a single man at these conventions. He probably,
- 29:18Speaker 1: in my prediction, I think he had numerous affairs, but
- 29:22Speaker 1: whoever these people were that maybe he had a one
- 29:25Speaker 1: night stand with or what, I'm not surprised they didn't
- 29:28Speaker 1: come forward. What would they gain from coming forward? Oh,
- 29:31Speaker 1: my God, I slept with this guy. Maybe they were
- 29:33Speaker 1: married too. Whatever. I think he was able to cheat
- 29:36Speaker 1: and have a side life that nobody ever knew about.
- 29:40Speaker 1: But I don't think he was like, I've got to
- 29:43Speaker 1: live the rest of my life with Amber Fry. Some
- 29:45Speaker 1: of the things that he says like, oh, you're so special.
- 29:47Speaker 1: It reminded me of the Golden Bachelor. It was just
- 29:50Speaker 1: like a fake cheating love bomb thing. And I think today,
- 29:54Speaker 1: maybe a jury would see that being a little more
- 29:58Speaker 1: of that than, oh my God, he killed for this
- 30:01Speaker 1: woman that he barely was dating. He's only dating her
- 30:04Speaker 1: since November. So I think now we're more aware of
- 30:07Speaker 1: how guys BS and lie. So anyway, but they definitely,
- 30:11Speaker 1: people believed that was it. He planned on killing her.
- 30:16Speaker 1: He bought the boat to dispose of the body. He
- 30:20Speaker 1: lied to Amber and said, I had a wife, but
- 30:24Speaker 1: this will be the first Christmas without her because I
- 30:27Speaker 1: lost her. She passed. And so that was a big thing. How,
- 30:31Speaker 1: why would you say that she had died when she
- 30:33Speaker 1: hadn't died yet? Well, if you're going to look at every,
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm just coming up with everything that he could say
- 30:40Speaker 1: to make it appear like he's innocent. He could say,
- 30:44Speaker 1: I said that she died just so I knew come Christmas,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I'm not going to be able to hang out with
- 30:49Speaker 1: Amber and her kid. I'm going to have to be
- 30:51Speaker 1: with my wife, my wife's family and my family. And
- 30:55Speaker 1: so a good excuse is this is my first holiday
- 30:57Speaker 1: without my wife. So I'm not going to be around.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I'm going to be with my kid, with my family.
- 31:01Speaker 1: But the excuse he did give her was I'm traveling.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'm traveling. So then to keep with the lie, he
- 31:08Speaker 1: goes on New Year's Eve, he calls her. And he
- 31:11Speaker 1: has like sound in the, or maybe he has sound
- 31:14Speaker 1: in the background. I'm not sure if he like put
- 31:15Speaker 1: a sound, but he said, oh, I'm in Paris and there's,
- 31:20Speaker 1: you know, we're ahead of you in time and we're seeing,
- 31:23Speaker 1: you know, the fireworks of New Year's Eve. So he
- 31:25Speaker 1: was keeping the lie going. That was really the thing
- 31:29Speaker 1: that got him convicted.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 31:31Speaker 1: So now let me just get into the things that
- 31:35Speaker 1: I believe the police did not pursue and why I
- 31:38Speaker 1: think I think that the case that they put forth
- 31:42Speaker 1: was a puzzle that fit together. But I think there
- 31:45Speaker 1: were some little pieces that they threw out that then
- 31:47Speaker 1: would make you go, well, I'm not 100% convinced. And
- 31:52Speaker 1: the whole thing is you have to be without a
- 31:54Speaker 1: shadow of a doubt that he did it. And here
- 31:58Speaker 1: are some of the interesting things. It was the timeline.
- 32:01Speaker 1: So the timeline was for the prosecution. When he left
- 32:07Speaker 1: a little after 10, a neighbor said shortly after that
- 32:11Speaker 1: she saw a dog on a leash running around and
- 32:15Speaker 1: she put the dog with the attached leash in the
- 32:17Speaker 1: side yard of Lacey's house. That's their house. So they
- 32:21Speaker 1: believe she was already gone. Then the dog was never
- 32:23Speaker 1: walked after that because she was already dead in the
- 32:26Speaker 1: boat going to be dumped in the ocean. But... Four
- 32:33Speaker 1: other people that are still around today, maybe one has passed,
- 32:37Speaker 1: but her video, her testimony is on video, like telling
- 32:40Speaker 1: a reporter. Four different people said they saw a pregnant
- 32:44Speaker 1: woman wearing black leggings and a white top walking a
- 32:48Speaker 1: big golden retriever. And the time and the route all
- 32:53Speaker 1: make sense of where the neighborhood would be, where she
- 32:56Speaker 1: would walk, then go end up at the park and
- 32:58Speaker 1: then come back. All four of those people, the police said,
- 33:03Speaker 1: there's no guarantee that they really saw her. Now, I think, look,
- 33:07Speaker 1: I understand that, like, people, you know, maybe they don't
- 33:12Speaker 1: remember it perfectly. But this wasn't like, hey, do you
- 33:15Speaker 1: remember what you saw Tuesday 18 months ago? No, they called, like,
- 33:19Speaker 1: right after. They saw her face, saw that she was missing.
- 33:22Speaker 1: And they're like, two days ago on Christmas Eve, I
- 33:25Speaker 1: saw this woman. I think I see people walk by
- 33:29Speaker 1: my house all the time. I recognize dogs all the time.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Not only was she pregnant and cute, but she had
- 33:36Speaker 1: this really large dog with her. And one of the people,
- 33:41Speaker 1: it was two of them together, it was a couple
- 33:42Speaker 1: that both saw her. So why would this couple make
- 33:45Speaker 1: this up? and convinced themselves two days later that they
- 33:49Speaker 1: saw her. Why? What are they gaining? I mean, this
- 33:52Speaker 1: isn't 2024 where people are real thirsty to like get
- 33:55Speaker 1: some TikTok likes. This was just like, hey, I called
- 33:58Speaker 1: the police and I told them that I saw this.
- 34:00Speaker 1: And then they like, they didn't call me to the stand.
- 34:03Speaker 1: They never followed up on it. And for whatever reason,
- 34:07Speaker 1: his defense headed by Mark Garagos, they didn't put those
- 34:12Speaker 1: people on the stands either. I don't know why I
- 34:14Speaker 1: would have. I really think four people saying that they
- 34:17Speaker 1: saw her makes a big difference. Then the next biggest
- 34:21Speaker 1: thing is this burglary that happened across the street, which
- 34:24Speaker 1: was so bizarre. There definitely was this family that lived
- 34:28Speaker 1: right across the street named the Medinas. They left on
- 34:32Speaker 1: Christmas Eve morning, the 24th, and didn't return until the 27th.
- 34:36Speaker 1: And their house was robbed. So then they reported when
- 34:40Speaker 1: they got back that they were robbed. And they start
- 34:43Speaker 1: getting calls. I saw three or four men in a
- 34:48Speaker 1: van near... this house. And I thought it was weird.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And it was right across from Lacey Peterson's house. And,
- 34:54Speaker 1: you know, so I think I might've seen the robbery
- 34:56Speaker 1: in process or someone coming in there. And I thought
- 34:58Speaker 1: it was strange. There was all of that. And so the, the, the,
- 35:04Speaker 1: the defense's thought now is maybe when she was getting
- 35:09Speaker 1: ready to take a walk, um, the dog was on
- 35:13Speaker 1: a leash and then she ran to go pee or something.
- 35:15Speaker 1: And then the neighbor goes, oh, Mackenzie, the dog, get
- 35:18Speaker 1: in the gate. Then she goes outside, gets him and
- 35:20Speaker 1: goes for a walk and never asks like, oh, sorry,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I left my dog out for a second, whatever. She
- 35:25Speaker 1: does the walk where the four people see her. She
- 35:28Speaker 1: comes back, puts the dog in the house and at
- 35:30Speaker 1: some point sees what's going on across the street and
- 35:33Speaker 1: either confronts them or something like that. And possibly they
- 35:38Speaker 1: take her. The reason that is the main story they're
- 35:40Speaker 1: going with is because they said that after that, when
- 35:46Speaker 1: they caught the two guys, they immediately confessed to the robbery,
- 35:50Speaker 1: which also seems suspect. Like, why would you? Yeah, I
- 35:53Speaker 1: did the robbery. Like, don't pry anymore. But they said, oh,
- 35:58Speaker 1: it was done on the 27th. And they go, well,
- 36:00Speaker 1: it could have been done the 27th because that's when
- 36:02Speaker 1: the family came home. And then they go, oh, okay,
- 36:04Speaker 1: it was done the 26th. Well, the defense is like,
- 36:06Speaker 1: I really doubt that someone would try to rob A
- 36:10Speaker 1: house across from basically a crime scene with a million
- 36:14Speaker 1: news people and everybody. That's not the time you're going
- 36:16Speaker 1: to go rob the house on the 26th. They believe
- 36:19Speaker 1: it happened on the 24th. Like that one witness said
- 36:22Speaker 1: she saw this van. They said the van was brown. OK,
- 36:26Speaker 1: people said they saw this suspicious brown van. They found
- 36:30Speaker 1: a van that was orange that was caught on fire.
- 36:35Speaker 1: And they found the man who said it was my van.
- 36:38Speaker 1: And I would sometimes let workmen take it. And one
- 36:42Speaker 1: day it was gone and it never came back. But
- 36:46Speaker 1: that is my van. And when they looked in the van,
- 36:49Speaker 1: it was burned and there was a mattress in it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: And the owner of the van said, I never had
- 36:54Speaker 1: a mattress in it. And on that mattress looks to
- 36:57Speaker 1: be like, a blood stain that was saved from the burning,
- 37:01Speaker 1: which is like very bizarre. And the fire chief or
- 37:05Speaker 1: whatever at the time took a portion of that and
- 37:08Speaker 1: has it to be DNA tested. He went to the police,
- 37:11Speaker 1: the desk to police. Yeah, we already cleared the robbers
- 37:14Speaker 1: in the van. And, you know, robbers don't, you know,
- 37:18Speaker 1: that are into narcotics don't suddenly become murderers. I'm like, yeah,
- 37:21Speaker 1: they do. Yeah, they do. Like, what are you talking about? Why?
- 37:24Speaker 1: Why would you just not take? Why are you acting like?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Why aren't we like? We don't want to trust this guy,
- 37:30Speaker 1: the husband at all. But we'll take the word for
- 37:35Speaker 1: it for the people that have been in and out
- 37:36Speaker 1: of prison who are drug addicts that are doing a
- 37:38Speaker 1: robbery with a couple other people. They're cleared. And in
- 37:43Speaker 1: talking to the detectives, and I do give them props
- 37:46Speaker 1: for participating in this Peacock special because the prosecutors didn't
- 37:51Speaker 1: want to. I don't blame people for saying I don't
- 37:53Speaker 1: want to talk about it. No one wants to think
- 37:56Speaker 1: that they possibly did something wrong in an investigation to
- 38:00Speaker 1: put someone in prison that shouldn't be there. But these
- 38:03Speaker 1: detectives are like, we did the right job. We got
- 38:05Speaker 1: the right man. Anything that we deemed as not part
- 38:10Speaker 1: of the evidence was because it was properly cleared or
- 38:13Speaker 1: we just didn't think it was evidence. Well, in watching this,
- 38:17Speaker 1: I think most people would disagree that this should have
- 38:19Speaker 1: been brought into the trial and let the jury decide
- 38:22Speaker 1: if they believe these eyewitnesses or not, if they question
- 38:26Speaker 1: the timeline or not. But I do understand why they
- 38:30Speaker 1: someone who has like an exemplatory career as a detective,
- 38:35Speaker 1: and this was by far their biggest case in Modesto,
- 38:38Speaker 1: would not want this to rear its ugly head, not
- 38:42Speaker 1: only because it's obviously very traumatic for the victim's family,
- 38:45Speaker 1: which I'm sure they're like, oh my God, why is
- 38:47Speaker 1: this being brought up again? But at the same time,
- 38:50Speaker 1: if this guy was just a cheating narcissist, Scott Peterson,
- 38:55Speaker 1: who didn't have... the right reaction for the media of
- 39:00Speaker 1: a wife being missing, does he really deserve to lose
- 39:05Speaker 1: his entire life? I mean, he's 51 now. If we
- 39:10Speaker 1: find out that there is some DNA evidence that clears him,
- 39:13Speaker 1: and he still is 51. He still doesn't. have a career,
- 39:19Speaker 1: a wife, a child. However, I did, I did look, did,
- 39:24Speaker 1: has anybody been corresponding with him? Like both the Menendez
- 39:28Speaker 1: brothers have gotten married. We know love after lockup, people
- 39:31Speaker 1: like prisoners. I don't know if he's ever pursued like
- 39:35Speaker 1: a pen pal or anything in these last 20 years.
- 39:38Speaker 1: If there's been any women that have ever visited him,
- 39:40Speaker 1: I couldn't find any evidence of that. But that part,
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'm kind of curious just because he was so in
- 39:46Speaker 1: The media, he is good-looking, and women like people behind bars.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I mean, it's just an obvious thing. But, I mean, look,
- 39:54Speaker 1: how many times– you know, there's always been times– there's
- 39:57Speaker 1: been times in my own life where I've been proven
- 39:59Speaker 1: that I was treated wrong, like the earrings were fake, okay?
- 40:02Speaker 1: You're like, Heather, stop talking about it. But I will
- 40:04Speaker 1: talk about it because– The people that thought that they
- 40:09Speaker 1: were real and that I was an awful person, even
- 40:12Speaker 1: when I proved it over and over again, I've never
- 40:15Speaker 1: heard from anybody. Nobody's ever retracted what they said. They
- 40:19Speaker 1: just want to forget it because they realized they were
- 40:21Speaker 1: wrong and they don't want to admit that they were wrong.
- 40:24Speaker 1: So now imagine if your job is the stakes of
- 40:27Speaker 1: possibly being part of the wheel that puts someone behind
- 40:31Speaker 1: bars that maybe didn't deserve it, okay, and didn't do it. Okay,
- 40:37Speaker 1: the next piece of evidence that I thought, this I
- 40:40Speaker 1: thought was huge. And it's a little tricky. I had
- 40:45Speaker 1: to go back and watch it twice. They have video
- 40:48Speaker 1: from December 1st, 2002. So 23 days before she went missing,
- 40:54Speaker 1: she filmed this watch. Lacey did. That is what she
- 40:59Speaker 1: inherited from her grandmother. And it was a 14-karat gold watch,
- 41:03Speaker 1: a Cordova watch. And it had, I think that's the
- 41:06Speaker 1: name of it, and it had diamonds around it. And
- 41:08Speaker 1: Scott goes, we even joked it looked like a rapper's watch.
- 41:11Speaker 1: It was kind of 80s, so it was her grandmother
- 41:14Speaker 1: who had passed. On December 31st, a woman came into
- 41:19Speaker 1: the Modesto pawn shop and pawned that watch. And that
- 41:24Speaker 1: man was interviewed on the Peacock thing. He still owns
- 41:27Speaker 1: the pawn shop. And he had the watch. Now, this
- 41:30Speaker 1: is where not everything that this team has done for
- 41:34Speaker 1: these years, part of the Innocence Project, is going to
- 41:36Speaker 1: be shown in a three-part doc. But this is what
- 41:39Speaker 1: they show. Somehow, the cops learned that this watch is
- 41:45Speaker 1: at the pawn shop. I don't know how that happened.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I don't know if this pawn shop guy was suspicious
- 41:51Speaker 1: and called the cops or if in talking about Lacey
- 41:55Speaker 1: and what she had on her body and her jewelry,
- 41:58Speaker 1: maybe Scott was like, okay, she always wears her wedding ring.
- 42:02Speaker 1: She always wears a school necklace. And I remember she
- 42:05Speaker 1: was wearing the watch that day because she wanted to
- 42:07Speaker 1: wear it to Christmas Eve and show her parents that
- 42:10Speaker 1: she was wearing the watch from grandma. I don't know.
- 42:13Speaker 1: But the watch is pretty distinct. And I just can't
- 42:17Speaker 1: believe that that was not made a bigger deal out of.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Why wasn't that tested for DNA? And so that's where,
- 42:25Speaker 1: and then they marked that the watch came in. They
- 42:28Speaker 1: said the cops got it, but they're like, well, we,
- 42:30Speaker 1: but nobody knows where that watch is today. Nobody knows.
- 42:34Speaker 1: They don't have it in evidence. Scott's family doesn't have it.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Lacey Peterson's family doesn't have it. I just think that
- 42:41Speaker 1: is crazy. Like that where I'm like, well, sure, it
- 42:47Speaker 1: could be a similar watch. It could, you know, maybe
- 42:49Speaker 1: not be the exact same watch. So that's maybe then
- 42:53Speaker 1: why they go forget it. Okay, so now we jump
- 42:55Speaker 1: to April. Scott is still a suspect. People are still
- 42:58Speaker 1: talking about it, writing about it, and trying to figure
- 43:01Speaker 1: out what's going to happen, but he has not been arrested.
- 43:04Speaker 1: a body comes up on the shore in which over
- 43:09Speaker 1: the years, I guess bodies have come up the shore
- 43:11Speaker 1: based on the tide. But it's very close to where
- 43:14Speaker 1: he told on the day one, I went fishing. This
- 43:18Speaker 1: is where I went fishing. He told the detectives that.
- 43:22Speaker 1: That is where the bodies come up. And it's her
- 43:27Speaker 1: torso and her head. And it's wearing, I guess, the
- 43:32Speaker 1: maternity clothes. That is what she was supposed to, told
- 43:35Speaker 1: to be wearing that day. And because it's been four months,
- 43:39Speaker 1: it's quite not in good shape. And then the baby
- 43:42Speaker 1: body has an umbilical cord still attached. So we know
- 43:47Speaker 1: that the body was separated at one point in the sea,
- 43:51Speaker 1: not before. So they find that, but everyone's assuming it's her,
- 43:55Speaker 1: but they have to check the DNA. He's in San
- 43:59Speaker 1: Diego with his family and going to golf and with
- 44:03Speaker 1: his brother and dad at Torrey Pines. And he claims
- 44:07Speaker 1: he thought cars were following him. It was the police,
- 44:09Speaker 1: unmarked cars, but he thought it was media, paparazzi, whatever.
- 44:14Speaker 1: They pull in and they arrest him. And he now
- 44:19Speaker 1: has dyed blonde hair and a goatee. And they think, oh,
- 44:24Speaker 1: you're so close. You're an hour from the border. You
- 44:26Speaker 1: must be trying to leave and live in Mexico. In
- 44:30Speaker 1: his car, he does have $ 15, 000 in cash. He has
- 44:31Speaker 1: some clothes, his brother's I.D., So the documentarian of the
- 44:41Speaker 1: Peacock asked him about that. And he said, well, first
- 44:44Speaker 1: of all, I think he, of course, changed his appearance
- 44:47Speaker 1: because he can't walk around anywhere with people not knowing
- 44:50Speaker 1: who he was and being mean to him and rude
- 44:52Speaker 1: to him and whatever. So he changed his appearance. He
- 44:54Speaker 1: said he had his brother's ID because he can play
- 44:57Speaker 1: on golf courses for cheaper if he lives in the county.
- 45:02Speaker 5: Okay.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:05Speaker 1: And then the $ 15, 000 was– he sold his brother– he
- 45:09Speaker 1: sold his car to his brother and the brother gave
- 45:12Speaker 1: him $ 15, 000 and he just hadn't put it in a
- 45:13Speaker 1: bank yet. I don't totally believe that. I think he
- 45:18Speaker 1: had his life set up in case. He knows at
- 45:22Speaker 1: this point he's a huge suspect. But also, even if
- 45:26Speaker 1: he wasn't arrested, maybe he was like, I'll just go
- 45:28Speaker 1: live in Mexico for a while and you guys can
- 45:31Speaker 1: visit me and at least people won't recognize me there
- 45:33Speaker 1: until this all dies down. Because who knows if she
- 45:36Speaker 1: will ever be found, but I'm always going to be,
- 45:39Speaker 1: you know, enemy number one. So maybe I'll just have
- 45:42Speaker 1: my stuff together in case I want to go do that.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Not necessarily escaping an arrest. Okay, that's what I would
- 45:49Speaker 1: have said, but that's not what he said. But anyway,
- 45:52Speaker 1: he gets arrested. And, you know, his reaction has always
- 45:58Speaker 1: been not that emotional. They did mark that when they
- 46:02Speaker 1: told him, yes, it's your wife and child, he did
- 46:04Speaker 1: shed a tear. As they're driving back, which is a
- 46:07Speaker 1: few hours, they say, we need to get some food,
- 46:09Speaker 1: and they go to an In-N-Out, and they said, you know,
- 46:12Speaker 1: he just nonchalantly goes, okay, I'll have a double-double with
- 46:15Speaker 1: cheese and a vanilla shake. I mean, your wife and son,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know, okay, but like... I don't know, it is
- 46:23Speaker 1: in and out. I mean, I'm not trying to be funny,
- 46:24Speaker 1: but like, I don't think that, I just think scrutinizing
- 46:27Speaker 1: how everybody acts in every minute. He had a cocky
- 46:31Speaker 1: ass attitude and walk. He looked cocky, much like Ben Affleck.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Why?
- 46:35Speaker 1: Ben Affleck was the perfect person to play him. They
- 46:39Speaker 1: kind of look alike. And it's kind of this, this
- 46:42Speaker 1: just like, women sometimes get accused of having, um, bitchy
- 46:47Speaker 1: resting face. There should be a name for like a
- 46:49Speaker 1: dude that just looks like a cocky dick, like he
- 46:52Speaker 1: just has a dick face. And that's what he did,
- 46:54Speaker 1: just had a dick face. He just looked like he
- 46:55Speaker 1: didn't care. He says, I wasn't showing emotion because my
- 46:58Speaker 1: emotion was anger towards the media and being put on
- 47:02Speaker 1: trial and for people to think that I did this.
- 47:04Speaker 1: So therefore, I didn't want to show any emotion because
- 47:07Speaker 1: I was afraid the anger emotion would show. So they
- 47:11Speaker 1: get Mark Garagos, who's Coincidentally, the attorney that's heading up
- 47:15Speaker 1: the reality reckoning with Bethany Frankel, which I'll get into
- 47:19Speaker 1: in a minute, and Brandy, there's an update on that.
- 47:22Speaker 1: But he became like a rock star and he had
- 47:26Speaker 1: this team against him. But they decide not to put
- 47:28Speaker 1: him on the stand because they know he just comes
- 47:32Speaker 1: off awful. He just comes off really not caring, not remorseful.
- 47:36Speaker 1: The defense is like, they don't have anything. They have
- 47:39Speaker 1: no strong case. It's all circumstantial. So therefore, we think
- 47:44Speaker 1: we're OK with this. We think you're going to win
- 47:47Speaker 1: and put you on the stand may hurt you more.
- 47:50Speaker 1: So we're not going to. And of course, they go
- 47:54Speaker 1: and they deliberate and they come back and they say
- 47:56Speaker 1: he's guilty and they give him the death penalty. And
- 48:02Speaker 1: there was this one interesting thing with this one juror
- 48:04Speaker 1: that was really famous from that time. She had pink
- 48:07Speaker 1: hair and just kind of tatted up. And she's like,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I have four kids and, you know, this is justice
- 48:12Speaker 1: for little man. She'd always like refer to Connor the
- 48:15Speaker 1: baby as that. And they tried to make the fact
- 48:19Speaker 1: that that was an issue with her because when she
- 48:21Speaker 1: filled out her jury form. They said, have you ever
- 48:25Speaker 1: been a victim of a crime? And she said no.
- 48:27Speaker 1: And then they found out many years later that she
- 48:30Speaker 1: had a restraining order against a former boyfriend. But I,
- 48:35Speaker 1: as someone who's had restraining orders, I would probably answer no,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I've not been a victim of a crime. If someone
- 48:40Speaker 1: asked me off the bat, I wouldn't necessarily consider that.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I would think in my head like robbery, someone attacking me,
- 48:46Speaker 1: touching me, whatever. So she was actually featured on this
- 48:51Speaker 1: as well. It is absolutely fascinating. And of course, there
- 48:57Speaker 1: is a lot that makes sense of why you would
- 48:59Speaker 1: think he did it. A couple inside information things that
- 49:04Speaker 1: I have is that I had a friend that lived
- 49:06Speaker 1: in Modesto at this time. We actually had lost touch.
- 49:10Speaker 1: And then we got back into touch in 2008. And
- 49:15Speaker 1: the first thing I asked was, oh, my God, I
- 49:18Speaker 1: wish I had your number during the discussion. Peterson trial.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I need to talk to you about it. And she's like, oh, okay.
- 49:24Speaker 1: She's like, first of all, everyone thinks he did it.
- 49:26Speaker 1: There's no way he didn't do it, Heather. He made
- 49:31Speaker 1: five anchors and only one was left. He says, no,
- 49:35Speaker 1: I only, only had one. There's no evidence that he
- 49:38Speaker 1: made four other. It was just like whatever the concrete,
- 49:41Speaker 1: it looked like there was like four little concrete messes,
- 49:43Speaker 1: but it was That evidence, I didn't think that was
- 49:45Speaker 1: that strong. And he still had his one anchor when
- 49:47Speaker 1: he returned. So from the boat. But she was saying
- 49:50Speaker 1: things like that. But she said, but I do, I
- 49:53Speaker 1: didn't see them at my country club. She was part
- 49:56Speaker 1: of their country club. And she would call, she and
- 49:59Speaker 1: her husband at the time would refer to them as
- 50:00Speaker 1: like the fighting couple. And she said she witnessed them
- 50:05Speaker 1: having some arguments and having, seeing Lacey kind of be like,
- 50:10Speaker 1: like a little flamboyant and feisty in the argument. I
- 50:15Speaker 1: think that goes with the idea of maybe she, in
- 50:19Speaker 1: her badass way, in her naive badass way, did she
- 50:22Speaker 1: approach the people like, hey, what are you doing? I
- 50:26Speaker 1: know my neighbors are away, so what are you doing
- 50:28Speaker 1: in front of their house? Maybe she did approach those robbers.
- 50:32Speaker 1: The other part of that van story is there was
- 50:34Speaker 1: another witness that said later that same day, He saw
- 50:40Speaker 1: with his wife a woman get out of a van
- 50:43Speaker 1: to go pee in like a very sketchy area. And
- 50:45Speaker 1: it looked like she was there against her will. And
- 50:50Speaker 1: he said it was like a brown or orange van
- 50:51Speaker 1: or something. And when he told the police that, they
- 50:54Speaker 1: were like, you know, so crazy. So did she disrupt this?
- 51:02Speaker 1: Did they take her? Maybe they didn't plan on killing her.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Maybe something happened. It was all over the news, right
- 51:10Speaker 1: in a news conference. It was all over every paper
- 51:12Speaker 1: that what Scott did that day. They would do full
- 51:16Speaker 1: timelines of everything, all the evidence that was there in
- 51:18Speaker 1: like the inquiries everywhere. So their idea is that he,
- 51:24Speaker 1: that these people either purposely or not purposely killed her
- 51:29Speaker 1: and then disposed of her body in the same part
- 51:34Speaker 1: of the water that he claimed he did. I would
- 51:36Speaker 1: also say, He didn't have to say where he sailed to.
- 51:40Speaker 1: He could have said, I went to this marina and
- 51:41Speaker 1: I went this way. If I dumped the body here,
- 51:44Speaker 1: why wouldn't I when I tell the detective that day?
- 51:48Speaker 1: And then I got into the marina and I went
- 51:51Speaker 1: to the east or whatever instead of to the west
- 51:53Speaker 1: or whatever it was. He said exactly where he went
- 51:57Speaker 1: and that is where those bodies were found. So that
- 52:00Speaker 1: is where all the things are being questioned. But even
- 52:06Speaker 1: the detect— even the journalists that really took this on in
- 52:10Speaker 1: the last five years go— and he's part of the documentary— just
- 52:13Speaker 1: being like, God, there are all these things that were
- 52:15Speaker 1: just not looked into, not submitted into evidence, not brought
- 52:19Speaker 1: up by the defense at the time. He's like, God,
- 52:23Speaker 1: I'll get in horrible fights with people when I bring
- 52:25Speaker 1: up any kind of idea that Scott Peterson could be innocent.
- 52:28Speaker 1: People just go crazy. And— And I feel the same way.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I might get a lot of hell just for even
- 52:36Speaker 1: watching his side of it. But I think it's still
- 52:42Speaker 1: fascinating for all those reasons when it comes to the
- 52:45Speaker 1: media and how this story made certain cable media stars
- 52:48Speaker 1: like a Nancy Grace or whatever. And I feel like
- 52:51Speaker 1: now there are TikTok and YouTube people that become stars
- 52:56Speaker 1: because they latch on a story too. And they're the
- 52:58Speaker 1: ones that cover it sometimes even more than a television station.
- 53:01Speaker 1: So I can see why it's like a little cottage
- 53:04Speaker 1: industry sometimes if a case is just so, really captures
- 53:09Speaker 1: so many people for so many reasons. And so just
- 53:15Speaker 1: all fascinating. Also, Bo Dietl, they showed a quick clip
- 53:20Speaker 1: of like different talking heads on Larry King about this case.
- 53:23Speaker 1: And Bo Dietl of Real Housewives of New Jersey showed up.
- 53:27Speaker 1: And also they did a line where one of the
- 53:29Speaker 1: detectives said is like, it's very unlikely. It's about as
- 53:32Speaker 1: likely as if Jennifer Lopez called me up and said
- 53:35Speaker 1: she'd want to go on a date with me after
- 53:37Speaker 1: she breaks up with Ben Affleck. And they put that
- 53:41Speaker 1: in and they did it where like we didn't see
- 53:43Speaker 1: his face say it. And I think they just threw
- 53:45Speaker 1: it in like post, like he said it somewhere else.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And then they were like, oh, my God, now that
- 53:49Speaker 1: they're getting divorced, let's put this in the Peacock thing.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Just a little weird like TV producer things that I
- 53:53Speaker 1: catch on. So there you go. This story is about
- 53:59Speaker 1: Wade Wilson. This is insane. And Shannon and I, my sister,
- 54:03Speaker 1: criminal defense attorney, did a very juicy, juicy, juicy crime
- 54:08Speaker 1: on it. And that is a part of my Patreon,
- 54:11Speaker 1: which you go to HeatherMcDonald.net, click on Patreon, and that's
- 54:14Speaker 1: part of the Juicy Crimes level. But this guy is
- 54:22Speaker 1: very good looking, but after he got arrested for killing
- 54:25Speaker 1: two women, he put all these weird tattoos on his
- 54:28Speaker 1: face while he was in prison. And I went down
- 54:30Speaker 1: a TikTok hole of all the people that are calling
- 54:34Speaker 1: and all the phone conversations that have been recorded with
- 54:38Speaker 1: him and all the people that put money on his
- 54:40Speaker 1: books and how he flirts with so many people. And
- 54:43Speaker 1: I just find that so fascinating how many people will
- 54:46Speaker 1: believe this guy and how charming he is on the phone.
- 54:50Speaker 1: And he's like looking at, I think, death too. It's
- 54:53Speaker 1: just Wade Wilson. That's another one. Okay. Getting into some
- 54:57Speaker 1: fun stuff before we end the show. Bravo Snarkside said that,
- 55:04Speaker 1: that Brandi Glanville has just, and I went to her
- 55:08Speaker 1: Instagram and it wasn't there. So I don't know where
- 55:09Speaker 1: she released this. I don't know if she said it's
- 55:11Speaker 1: taken it down. Released the video of Andy Cohen and
- 55:15Speaker 1: Kate Chastain jokingly asking if she wants to join their threesome.
- 55:20Speaker 1: So I watched it and all the comments, including mine are,
- 55:24Speaker 1: this is so innocent and so joking and silly and funny.
- 55:30Speaker 1: They seem a little buzzed, but not overly. They basically
- 55:34Speaker 1: are saying like, Brandy, we are going to F tonight.
- 55:39Speaker 1: They beep it out. And we were talking about you.
- 55:42Speaker 1: So technically it's a threesome. It's a threesome because we're
- 55:44Speaker 1: thinking about you, girl. That's it. I almost think this
- 55:48Speaker 1: hurts her case. I really do. But apparently her whole
- 55:54Speaker 1: thing of wanting to go after Bravo is like, I
- 55:57Speaker 1: worked for Bravo for 13 years. I had to do
- 55:59Speaker 1: whatever Andy said. We weren't close. We weren't friends. And
- 56:03Speaker 1: I felt like if I ever said that's disgusting or something,
- 56:05Speaker 1: that I wouldn't be able to work again. It's a stretch.
- 56:09Speaker 1: And I've talked about why this reality reckoning has not worked.
- 56:12Speaker 1: And I just think it's because it's one of those
- 56:14Speaker 1: things that who's up in arms about it. The fans
- 56:17Speaker 1: don't want anything to change with their Bravo shows. And
- 56:21Speaker 1: I think people miss Brandy, but the other people that
- 56:25Speaker 1: are part of it, Ebony, Leah– From New York. I
- 56:30Speaker 1: just don't think people miss those people. So they're kind
- 56:32Speaker 1: of like, who cares? And I think that it's just
- 56:36Speaker 1: such a it's such a fine line because it is
- 56:40Speaker 1: reality TV. You're playing yourself. You are drinking on camera.
- 56:45Speaker 1: You're being silly. You're grabbing your your co-star's boobs. I mean,
- 56:49Speaker 1: the whole thing of like sexual harassment and drinking and joking.
- 56:53Speaker 1: It can't all be– it's not a black and white thing.
- 56:56Speaker 1: There's one way of appropriate behavior in corporate offices at
- 57:03Speaker 1: a medical facility. And then there's– we're on a reality
- 57:07Speaker 1: show getting drunk on a girl's trip and I'm grabbing
- 57:10Speaker 1: someone's boob and laughing about it and giving great TV
- 57:14Speaker 1: of being silly after 12 drinks. And so– I think
- 57:19Speaker 1: that's the challenge. So someone wrote in Juicy Scoop Obsessed,
- 57:22Speaker 1: whatever happened to the Bethany reality reckoning? And this person wrote,
- 57:26Speaker 1: she moved on from trying to save Raquel Rachel and
- 57:30Speaker 1: is now selling chicken salad. And I have not talked
- 57:34Speaker 1: about the chicken salad thing, but it is really funny.
- 57:36Speaker 1: And in a nutshell, Bethany Frankel, after doing the reality reckoning,
- 57:42Speaker 1: which went nowhere, then she tried to save Rachel Raquel
- 57:45Speaker 1: from Vanderpump Rules, which again, nobody Nobody sees her as
- 57:49Speaker 1: a victim. Then she, you know, continued with, she kind
- 57:54Speaker 1: of put makeup to the side and then got very
- 57:56Speaker 1: into how delicious, really expensive chicken salad is in the Hamptons,
- 58:02Speaker 1: but it's worth every penny. And she, you know, ate
- 58:05Speaker 1: it and she talked to the camera and everybody went
- 58:07Speaker 1: there and they really did like the chicken salad. A
- 58:09Speaker 1: lot of people attempted to make it themselves. And then
- 58:11Speaker 1: she went and did this video where, this is where
- 58:16Speaker 1: comedy and people that aren't that funny don't always land
- 58:22Speaker 1: it and why people watching it at home that aren't
- 58:24Speaker 1: that funny don't always get it. I believe now that
- 58:29Speaker 1: I've researched the Bethany Frankel chicken video that I'm going
- 58:32Speaker 1: to tell you about, I believe she was trying to
- 58:34Speaker 1: be funny. I think that So basically what she does
- 58:39Speaker 1: is she films herself going to the round swamp farm
- 58:43Speaker 1: and she's like, these people are ignoring me. I've moved
- 58:46Speaker 1: thousands and thousands of product for them. Like they'd be
- 58:50Speaker 1: nowhere without me and they're just ignoring me. And I'm
- 58:52Speaker 1: like about to cry and I've had a chicken suit
- 58:54Speaker 1: and I'm so upset and everything. And when I first
- 58:57Speaker 1: saw it, I really did think that possibly she was
- 58:59Speaker 1: being real because she does kind of act like that
- 59:02Speaker 1: and she's a little unhinged. But now that I've like
- 59:04Speaker 1: researched a little bit more, I think she was trying,
- 59:07Speaker 1: she was being sarcastic and she was trying to do
- 59:10Speaker 1: a funny video and it's kind of brilliant marketing because
- 59:12Speaker 1: it got us talking about her again. So good for her. Anyway,
- 59:16Speaker 1: the chicken salad is like, uh, you put the chicken
- 59:19Speaker 1: basically in a blender and then you use it like
- 59:21Speaker 1: a spread. Okay. That's the big scoop on the chicken salad.
- 59:24Speaker 1: No pun intended, a scoop of chicken salad. Um, Call
- 59:29Speaker 1: Her Daddy is a huge podcast. And the star of
- 59:33Speaker 1: it is Alex Cooper. She started it with Sophia F.
- 59:37Speaker 1: And then they split up. And Sophia Frankel has her
- 59:41Speaker 1: own show. And she does great. But Alex Cooper has
- 59:45Speaker 1: really taken off. She got a $ 60 million deal from
- 59:48Speaker 1: Spotify two years ago. And now she has a $ 125
- 59:51Speaker 1: million deal for I don't know how many years, at
- 59:54Speaker 1: least two or three, with Sirius. And... I mean, it's astronomical.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: They also paid SmartList a huge amount of money. The
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: three guys, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett and Justin Bateman,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: their podcast, SmartList, also got, I don't know, $ 100 million
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: or something from Sirius. So just kind of interesting. I
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: think I talked to you guys about this before, but
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I keep getting these emails from different podcast companies saying
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that they want me to be a guest on it
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: and they'll pay me– anywhere from two to 3,500. I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: just got one for SmartList. We'd love to have Heather
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: McDowell on SmartList. We'll pay her $ 3, 500. And it's the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: same scam. And they put like at the bottom of
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the email, they give the address of Universal and these fake,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you know, it looks official. And now I know just
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: to ignore it, but I've gotten it also from so
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: many different people, from Candace Cameron, I think I got
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: one from Joe Rogan. I got one from this guy, Lewis, somebody.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I don't know why they keep thinking that I'm that
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I take me off your list. I'm not. I realize
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: no one's paying anybody $ 3, 500 to be on a podcast.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: So to anybody that's getting those, do not let this
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: person in to don't fuck with them. Don't they somehow
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: they get into your Facebook and they screw you over somehow.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I don't know. Thank God I caught on. before, but
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I keep getting the emails, probably about two a month,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: offering me money to be on a Facebook Live event
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and be on these big, huge podcasts. I would like
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: to be on SmartList. I don't know why I'm not
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: on SmartList. I don't know why I haven't been on
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Call Her Daddy. I love you all. You don't have
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to pay me $ 1 of your $ 100 million. I would
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: just like to do it, okay? So there you go.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: This is disturbing. People sent it to me. They know
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: how I feel about it. Travis, Kelsey is in talks
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: to star in action comedy Loose Cannons, a movie. He's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: going to be in a full-blown action comedy movie starring
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the lead. According to The Holly Reporter, this is in talks.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do about it, you guys. The
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: toothpaste is out of the tube. The train has left
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: the station. It's only a matter of time. I think
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that we hear that these two are no longer together.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: That's my prediction. I don't know. I think it's just
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: not what it was six months ago. I just don't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: feel the same way about this relationship. I just don't.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: And to all the professional comedic actors, you just lost
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: a role. This was super disturbing. This was in a
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: high school near Fresno. This is from the New York Post.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: It's a pep rally. This was the weirdest video, you guys.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: It's a pep rally. This principal has been suspended and
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: they're looking into this, this principal. He's like kind of
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: an overweight 50-something-year-old dude. And he's on like a rolling
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: office chair in the middle of the pep rally with
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: all the high school kids. And the mascot who's dressed
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: in whatever their mascot is, is basically giving the principal
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: a lap dance. Okay. And then the principal leans back
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: and shoots off like this, like one of those like things.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: So it looks like he's ejaculating. Okay. And then he
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: gets out of the chair and pushes the mascot guy
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: on the chair. And then he simulates giving him a
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: lap dance, almost kind of going down on him. And
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: then someone screams, what happens at this high school stays
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: in this high school, like a Vegas thing. And people
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: are cheering. A couple of parents that were there were like,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: what the fuck is this? And the video went viral.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: And now the guy is suspended. And I just cannot, like,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: what is going on, people? I have big thoughts about
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: high school and teachers and and my own experience and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: kind of a new theory about it. And as we
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: go back to high school and college this week, just
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: listen to my Patreon. Sorry, this is a double push
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Patreon day, but it is. Patreon is my heathermcdonald.net. Just
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: get ready because I have a very juicy story that
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: is very similar to a crazy Pep Raleigh thing that
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: happened and so much more. Okay. A couple more things
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: about Real Housewives of OC. that have come to my attention.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I talked about this on Tuesday, but one of the
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: things that somebody wrote was, why was Heather Dubrow crying saying,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: these cheating rumors hurt my family? To remind you guys,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Heather Dubrow, there was some cheating rumors that came out
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: that have kind of been floating around for years. I
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: don't believe them. It's like somebody at, I don't know,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: somebody's office, whatever, something with Terry. There's no proof to it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: There's nothing. And there was a little burst of that
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: rumor going around. And then after that, they went to
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Disneyland together and then these photos came out of them
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: being very loving. And people in the cast think that
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: she actually hired paparazzi to meet her at Disneyland and
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: get these stories, get these photos out. to make people
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: not question how in love they are. So she's crying
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to Gina being like, you know, this whole thing hurt
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: my family. This hurt my kids. People were calling. My
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: children were being called by their friends asking if this
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: was in fact true. I'm sorry. I call bullshit. I
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: know how kids are and I don't believe it. I'm sorry.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Now you could come after me and say it is true.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: There's no way to know. Do I believe that if
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you're upset and there's rumors and stuff and shit that
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: isn't true online, that energy and those conversations in your
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: home stresses the whole family out 100%. 100%, it affects you.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: It affects your spouse. It affects your kids. I've been there.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: It can affect and hurt the family because the vibe
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: is not good. Just like... If your husband was a
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: doctor and he's being sued for malpractice, like anything about
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: your business. And if you're a reality star, your business
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: is yourself. So I can see it. But I just
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: don't believe that 20 something and Gen Z's are like
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: on some, you know, Bravo boo website or whatever, whatever
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: it is. And reading these rumors that were not really
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: that publicized from what I remember. And this is basically
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: my career. I do not think that they are calling
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: their friend in college and being like, hey, I just
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: want to check on you. Are your parents getting divorced?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I just don't believe it. I call BS. So Gina
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: wore this outfit that was not well-received, okay? It was
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: a tight silver dress. I think it would have looked
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: cute standing up. Some things just don't look good when
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you're sitting down. So like if she was standing up,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: walking into a bar, I think she would have looked banging.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: But sitting down, it wasn't that flattering. And then her hair,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: it was like, a weird style. What I love about
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Gina is that she then did a green screen video
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: of it going, guys, I heard you. It's not my
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: favorite look. I plan on doing better. I see it.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: It wasn't great. I love that she just took it
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: head on and was like, yeah, some are a miss. Like,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: let's laugh at ourselves. I thought this was a cute look.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I liked the silver with the gold. I thought the
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: hair was banging. And guess what? I, you know, some
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: people make mistakes. So I liked that. Also in the episode,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: they joke that this one girl, Jen, should do OnlyFans.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: And again, what I'm saying, when I say sometimes people
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: are just getting a little tired of the housewives, it's
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: because we just kind of repeat the same storylines. There
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: was a time where everybody took a stripper pole class.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Then there was a time when everybody went and swirled
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: around in those sheets. Then there was a time everyone
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: went to goat yoga. Then there was a time that people...
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: You know, the psychic thing I hate. I hate the
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: psychic stuff when they have like a psychic read just
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: to like make people nervous. However, the one good psychic
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: one was when they went to Morocco and the psychic said,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I see Ramona's husband cheating on her. And there was
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: a blonde woman. She's like, that must be. She's like,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: you know what? I think that's Avery. I think it was.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I think that's Avery that they see in those tea
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: leaves or whatever. That was the only time anybody's psychic thing.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: But no, there was also a time when they said
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Rachel Raquel Vanderpump needs to go on OnlyFans or just
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: do foot videos so that she can pay for a
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: new nose job. And the girls get together and they
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: do that. Well, they did this here. They said Jen,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: who just got evicted from her home, she needs to
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: do OnlyFans and what sells is foot stuff. And so
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: it just felt very planned. Thank God. they cut half
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: of the pie out so they could eat it. And
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: then they shoved her foot in it. And then Tamara
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: sucked her toe. I'm sure they cleaned her foot before.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: It just felt so pushed and fake and not really funny.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: And I just feel like we've seen these bits before.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: We've seen Tamara call people a shit show. It used
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: to be Shannon. Now it's Alexis. It's just like.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I think that's why people are getting
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: bored of it. Well, thank you so much. Remember, you
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: go to HeatherMcDonald.net to join the Patreons. You get over
