Mosquito season is hitting extreme levels in Green Bay — health experts warn you’re at high risk for bites this weekend due to warm, humid weather and recent rain. While the swarm is expected to ease next week, don’t let it ruin your weekend. Officials also confirmed Wisconsin’s first West Nile Virus case of 2026 in a Milwaukee County mosquito — rare in humans, but best to avoid the bites. To stay bug-free, eliminate standing water around your home and be extra cautious at dawn, dusk, and in wooded areas.
