- 0:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's called the Voices for Voices TV Trump Podcast.
- 0:57Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Thank you so much.
- 0:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh, we're gonna talk a little bit uh today about uh the the author uh and what I mean by that, and and so we're gonna just hop hop on in.
- 1:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So you know, there's authors of songs, there's authors of books, there's authors of TV shows, of movies, uh stories, short and long.
- 1:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Uh and so what we're gonna talk about is who do we think the author of our life is?
- 1:42Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's that's what uh wanna just dig into and and and and talk about uh you know when uh uh when you have a child and they uh they're at school, they're doing projects, they're they're writing, they're coloring, they're doing math, they're arithmetic, they're doing all the all the things, right?
- 2:12Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Um and one of those is again writing.
- 2:19Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And sometimes, especially as uh yeah, they're they're really, you know, young, you know, five, six, seven, yeah, they're they're really just forming really words and sentences that go along with what they understand at that particular time.
- 2:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then the older we get um the better we we we get to write about uh full sentences as well as you know getting into paragraphs and uh and then papers where it could be three pages, two pages, one page, ten page, twenty, and you know, where we're structuring sentences, we're having a flow to the uh uh to the to the document.
- 3:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so I just got this idea after seeing some of our our child's uh work that they've they've been uh they've been doing.
- 3:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And it's really remarkable.
- 3:48Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Um, you know, sometimes there's a picture and then um or what am I gonna do over summer break?
- 3:57Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And you know, there's sentences and a lot of misspelled words, and I mean they're they're six, seven, eight.
- 4:07Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I mean, they're they're they're not supposed to have the ability to to do that.
- 4:16Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Maybe some are, but nonetheless, so yeah, gonna be like, I want to go swimming, I want to go to the park, I want to go get ice cream or frozen yogurt, or uh whatever that is, and and and so they write that down, and and that's kind of what they're writing about.
- 4:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then we fast forward to the older we get again, the more structure we have to our senses, the spelling uh starts to get uh much improved.
- 5:02Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so then here we are watching uh episode of the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast, and here we're talking about who's who's who's behind the scenes writing the story of our our lives.
- 5:25Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And as a for me uh as a believer, you know, I I think I think Jesus is writing my story, and so as much as we want to believe that we're in control, that we can dictate what's gonna happen in our lives.
- 6:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Um again, for me being a believer, I I don't have I don't believe that I have the control to be able to impact so many different things in my life.
- 6:19Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Like, for instance, we were born and we're living, and then we're gonna we're gonna pass away, hopefully, to heaven.
- 6:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so that's what we know for for human beings, that's that's what we do.
- 6:44Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're born, we live, and then we die.
- 6:48Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's not it's not very uh I guess not for me, it's not very difficult to understand.
- 7:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And and so as each minute, second, hour, day, month, year goes by for me, I get I I get closer and closer to the end of my life, being 44, look at the uh, you know, the expect the expectancy of individuals in my family.
- 7:30Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Um so that that's one of the reasons I have such the uh intensity for what we're what we're doing here, voices for voices, because as I've mentioned so many times, this is a hundred-year organization, at least, if not more.
- 7:55Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Somebody's gonna have to pick up the reins at some time at some point.
- 8:05Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so, you know, I think you know, Jesus is writing my story, and so my last day, minutes, hours, seconds could be in very short order.
- 8:23Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Could be today, could be tomorrow, could be next week, next year.
- 8:30Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And then we say, okay, are we ready for that?
- 8:35Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I mean it's hard it's hard really to fathom as far as I'm as far as I'm concerned.
- 8:46Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But when we think about that, you know, the ink that goes into the pen of the author You know, who are we to you know tell tell others that we're able to control our lives?
- 9:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I mean, yeah, we're given the ability to make decisions, but only, in my opinion, Jesus knows like when you know the lights get turned out in our lives.
- 9:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so I think it's just a point of reflection for us to just think about that not to dwell on it not to ruminate on it but just to understand that again who's writing who's writing the story of our lives Just like our younger children From each child one And they're they're writing their their stories, they're just getting their lives started They're just getting going It's just It just really makes you ponder Yeah I took as as many of us who've gone to different um different school had different classes having philosophy like what I what we believe in what people who have come before us what they've believed And so we learn about all these different all these different theories that individuals put put together to to try to make sense of well what what's person A's philosophy on life or death or a certain situation or a certain event a certain experience we all have our own philosophies I would think that we will we would have our own philosophies But it's very hard to to think about how little control we have over our lives as a whole I mean yeah it you can you can look at you know today in the morning and what what do we have to eat?
- 12:30Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Some of us don't have that luxury where we have a lot of choices to eat.
- 12:37Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But if we do we eat cereal, do we have toast with peanut butter uh jelly?
- 12:49Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Okay, yeah, we have you know a little bit of control over that.
- 12:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That makes sense.
- 13:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But I'm talking about like these big, big, big, big, big, big, big situations of I'm forty-four years old.
- 13:11Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Am I gonna live to be a hundred?
- 13:13Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know.
- 13:17Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Am I gonna live to be two hundred?
- 13:19Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Probably not.
- 13:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know.
- 13:26Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know very many people who have A made it to a hundred let alone two hundred.
- 13:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Maybe sometime in the future we were able to with different different therapies and and different foods and medicines and medical procedures.
- 14:07Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: But that's as we see her today, so we know with a pretty good sense of reality that we're we're not gonna live to be two hundred years old.
- 14:36Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Again, maybe we know a person here or there heard names through through the news that have lived to a hundred years old.
- 14:56Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So then we start thinking like, alright, well, two hundred's probably not a good bet.
- 15:06Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: A hundred maybe.
- 15:15Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So then we start looking at and thinking about how old am I now?
- 15:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm forty-four, I don't know what age you are.
- 15:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: When we start looking at it, going, okay, we have some pretty limited time here on earth.
- 15:37Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And and so if we wanna if we want to make a difference, if we want to help people, whatever our whatever our thing is or things that we want to do, procrastinating isn't really a good option.
- 16:04Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And this is coming from me.
- 16:08Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I was a huge procrastinator in school.
- 16:14Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Wait till you know, last minute, you know, oh I have a project due tomorrow, I'll get started today or tonight.
- 16:26Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's not a good idea.
- 16:29Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm telling you.
- 16:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It uh it's it's it's not a very not a very good idea, let me tell you.
- 16:44Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So when we talk about life, the longer we wait, the less chance we have of that thing or those things to happen, to have that positive impact.
- 17:06Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Some things are just gonna seem out of reach, but that's when we we we talk about, you know, dreaming.
- 17:20Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We've got to.
- 17:45Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And it's gonna be hard for others to help us to do it.
- 17:55Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So we just gotta think about that.
- 17:58Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Let's get s let's get started.
- 18:01Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Whatever whatever's been in your mind, and thinking, man, girl, I I I wish I could get started and doing this or that.
- 18:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so that's why I I have this big sense of urgency.
- 18:28Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We just crossed five hundred episodes, folks.
- 18:36Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Five hundred.
- 18:38Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We don't have this big corporation, this big backing.
- 18:42Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We don't we don't have that.
- 18:49Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so I I wasn't gonna just sit on the sidelines and wait until something like that happened.
- 18:59Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: No I was gonna keep going.
- 19:05Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And when obstacles came and hurdles came, for the most part we've overcome them.
- 19:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And we we believe in our mission and what we're doing.
- 19:28Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We do.
- 19:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: That's what's really kept us going.
- 19:37Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Is it's like, well, we believe.
- 19:47Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We've talked about this.
- 19:48Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Nobody's gonna believe if we don't believe.
- 19:51Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: How's somebody gonna get behind our ideas, our thoughts, our uh projects?
- 19:59Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: If we're just like, eh, not really sure if this is gonna work out.
- 20:06Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Nobody knows for sure.
- 20:08Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I don't know for sure.
- 20:11Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: As I said during episode 100, 200, 300, 400, 450, 475, 490, 499.
- 20:21Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I didn't know if we would get there to episode 500.
- 20:31Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: See, we don't really know anything for sure, but I had the belief that I'm just gonna keep on going.
- 20:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're just gonna keep on going and keep on sharing, we're gonna keep on helping.
- 20:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And thanks to people like you and others, doesn't matter what state, what city, what province, what country, you don't have to be a believer to to be on the journey with us.
- 21:12Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: So thank you.
- 21:14Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Thank you for helping be an author of parts of your life.
- 21:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: I'm trying to be the author in certain parts of my life.
- 21:37Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Not very much that we can be the author for.
- 21:43Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Cause like I said, Jesus for me is the main author of my life.
- 21:54Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: It's all only he knows when the lights get turned out.
- 22:02Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: The final bell rings on my life.
- 22:11Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And so until then, we're gonna continue.
- 22:18Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Continue helping people.
- 22:22Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Continue reaching people.
- 22:27Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Doesn't matter somebody's well to do or not.
- 22:34Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: We're gonna just continue reaching people, sharing experiences, sharing thoughts.
- 22:44Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: And it's thanks to you that we have a show, that we have a podcast, we have a TV show.
- 22:53Justin Alan Hayes, Voices for Voices: Thank you.
