- 0:15Speaker 3: ex-wife that that absolutely no one and nobody in my
- 0:19Speaker 3: life knows about especially my current wife oh um okay.
- 0:23Speaker 4: So you're remarried And you got a secret about your ex-wife.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Bring it on. What's going on?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I don't want to say exactly what I do, but
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm an entrepreneur, and I'm involved with several different companies.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I've been very fortunate in my current recent life. and
- 0:40Speaker 3: I've done really well for myself over the years. Oh, good.
- 0:43Speaker 3: But my life wasn't always like this. So my ex-wife
- 0:49Speaker 3: and I were married for more than 10 years, and
- 0:52Speaker 3: she was with me during probably the lowest and darkest
- 0:56Speaker 3: period of my life. And honestly, she deserves way better
- 1:00Speaker 3: than me.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Okay. So you turned your life around, but what was
- 1:05Speaker 2: going on back then?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Well, honestly, I cheated on.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Her a bunch.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I partied constantly. I lived this stupid lifestyle where I
- 1:14Speaker 3: thought I was invincible. And I put that poor woman
- 1:18Speaker 3: through so much hell, absolute hell. And since then, I
- 1:22Speaker 3: had a health scare. I got myself together. I got better.
- 1:26Speaker 3: And I stopped drinking and all that good stuff. Eventually,
- 1:30Speaker 3: she divorced me. you know, when I was a mess
- 1:32Speaker 3: and I don't blame her for it. So, so we're not,
- 1:34Speaker 3: we were obviously not together anymore. I have a new wife. Ironically, uh,
- 1:38Speaker 3: like losing her was probably like what finally woke me up.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I went to rehab. I got sober. Like I said,
- 1:44Speaker 3: it got my life together and eventually became like really successful. Finally. Um,
- 1:48Speaker 3: you know, yeah, I tried for a couple of years
- 1:51Speaker 3: to like get her back and win her back, but
- 1:53Speaker 3: like just way too much history and damage, uh, that
- 1:56Speaker 3: I did, so it didn't happen.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, first of all, congrats on getting your life together
- 2:00Speaker 2: and sober, because that should be celebrated.
- 2:02Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I'm not saying you were the best person back in
- 2:05Speaker 2: the day, but that's a That's a big deal.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So you move on.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Anyway, I moved on. I remarried now and I love
- 2:12Speaker 3: my wife dearly. Um, I don't know how to explain
- 2:15Speaker 3: this without sounding shady though. There's something just different about
- 2:19Speaker 3: the first true love that you have. You know what
- 2:21Speaker 3: I mean? Um, my, my ex will always be special
- 2:25Speaker 3: to me and near and dear to my heart because
- 2:27Speaker 3: you know, she loved me when I was probably at
- 2:30Speaker 3: the most lowest point and kind of unlovable. So, um,
- 2:34Speaker 3: Here's my secret, though. A couple of years ago, through
- 2:37Speaker 3: mutual friends, I found out she had started a small
- 2:40Speaker 3: business and she wasn't doing well. It was actually struggling,
- 2:43Speaker 3: her business. But I realized several companies that I'm involved with,
- 2:47Speaker 3: that I work with now, could actually use what she
- 2:50Speaker 3: provides in her business.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:53Speaker 3: So I quietly, yeah, I quietly started directing all my
- 2:56Speaker 3: business her way. And she has no idea it's me. Oh, wow.
- 3:02Speaker 4: You find out what she does. You find out what
- 3:05Speaker 4: she does.
- 3:05Speaker 2: You know, you could use. So you tell all the
- 3:07Speaker 2: companies you're involved with hate. use her for whatever she does.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So everybody wins.
- 3:12Speaker 2: So everybody wins, but she doesn't know that she doesn't
- 3:15Speaker 2: know that this is happening.
- 3:16Speaker 3: She has no ideas for me and she has no idea.
- 3:19Speaker 3: And without sounding arrogant, I know the numbers. I know
- 3:22Speaker 3: kind of like what, how much I'm making her. If
- 3:25Speaker 3: my companies weren't using her business, there's almost no chance
- 3:29Speaker 3: in hell that she would still be open today. And
- 3:32Speaker 3: I'm not, I'm not saying this for a pat on
- 3:33Speaker 3: the back. I'm basically secretly keeping my ex-wife's company alive
- 3:37Speaker 3: because But I don't look at it like I'm some
- 3:39Speaker 3: sort of superhero. Honestly, I look at it as this
- 3:42Speaker 3: is the least I could do for all the hell
- 3:43Speaker 3: that I put her through.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Wow. Now, let me ask you this. I think it's
- 3:47Speaker 4: really cool that you're doing that.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You're like a little silent angel.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You say nobody knows this. Does your current wife know this?
- 3:55Speaker 3: My current wife does not know anything about this. And
- 3:58Speaker 3: there's definitely no way that I could tell my current wife.
- 4:01Speaker 3: There's nothing romantic about it. Nothing happening like that. I
- 4:04Speaker 3: don't talk to my ex. Okay. I'm not trying to
- 4:06Speaker 3: get back with her. I don't even want anything from her.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I just feel like maybe this is my way of finally,
- 4:12Speaker 3: finally paying back a debt that I've carried around for many,
- 4:15Speaker 3: many years now.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I think it's very noble of you to do.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I don't think it's anything shady. I mean, will it
- 4:21Speaker 4: look like that if your current wife finds out? Oh, yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 4: It should be mad.
- 4:25Speaker 3: It could.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Like, how would you feel, Candice, if you found out that,
- 4:28Speaker 2: you know, like your husband is supporting an ex-wife's business?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be interesting, especially because he doesn't have contact
- 4:35Speaker 1: with her. She has no idea. So that tells me
- 4:37Speaker 1: it really is coming from a good place.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And I think, honestly, you could probably tell your wife
- 4:41Speaker 2: this and explain the situation. And I think she would understand.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I mean, I wouldn't, but no, I'm just kidding. I'm
- 4:48Speaker 4: not going to tell her.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You're not communicating with her. The business dealings aren't coming
- 4:52Speaker 1: from you to her directly.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Good for you. I think you're selling a nice guy.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Well, thank you. I hope I just, I strive to be,
- 4:58Speaker 3: I mean, I wasn't always, so, you know, this is,
- 5:01Speaker 3: this is a good way of getting, of getting it back,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you know?
- 5:03Speaker 4: Well, good for you.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And, and congrats more importantly on your, on being sober.
- 5:08Speaker 2: And I hope that you continue that lifestyle and, At
- 5:11Speaker 2: least you have a conscience that you understand you did
- 5:13Speaker 2: somebody wrong and you'd like to repay that debt.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel terrible. And I'm never going back to
- 5:19Speaker 3: that lifestyle.
- 5:20Speaker 2: No way.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Well, good.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Dirty little secret. There you go.
