- 0:35There's never a day of just like it's always like we've did some we
- 0:39did some great things and help some great people. And today is another one
- 0:42of those big days. We're gonna talk a little bit about almost kind of
- 0:45like a peek behind the scene for folks that say, oh, I had
- 0:49such a great experience. I just love the folks at the Healthy Place.
- 0:52That's not just because of coincidence. It's done through passion and planning. And
- 0:56remember years ago, somebody once said to me, Sean, you can't manage
- 1:00which you can't measure, and I thought that is an absolute fact when it
- 1:03comes to that, and it's important to have those conversations and kind of lay
- 1:07that stuff out. And one of the big things you guys are doing is
- 1:11kind of behind the scenes at the Healthy Place, is is your vision meeting.
- 1:15Let's talk a little bit about that. Yeah, dude, So once
- 1:19a year we have our annual vision meeting and it's tomorrow and we get the
- 1:23whole team together. We have, you know, a team around the country
- 1:26too. We have about seven remote workers that help with things like content and
- 1:33SEO and graphic design, creative writing, and it's it's it's been one of
- 1:41my very favorite days of the year. You know, it's like right up
- 1:44there with my birthday and Christmas. And you bring the team together and the
- 1:51goal is to get on the same page, and you know, we are
- 1:53on this mission together and this vision, and it's it's been from the beginning,
- 1:59it's been so much more than a business to me and Becky. To
- 2:02Becky and I, it started with my mom battling cancer and seeing great breakthrough
- 2:10with natural alternatives, and that's what got me into this industry as a younger
- 2:15dude. And then I watched my mom work at a health food store helping
- 2:19people and you get to see these folks come back with chronic pain that has
- 2:23been taken away or minimized, and depression helped, and sleep issues and even
- 2:29heavy hitting problems and struggles like cancer, dementia, ibs, klitis, asthma.
- 2:37You know, you see this growing up and it starts to get into
- 2:39your DNA that like, people are suffering and people aren't living the fullness of
- 2:45life, and you know we can help. So that's why we launched these
- 2:49Vision meetings some years back, and we're gonna break down a little bit about
- 2:53a little bit about what goes on, So a little bit about what's discussed
- 2:55these meetings and really how it carries through to help you. Speaking of ways
- 2:59to help, it's always a great day to get into the Healthy Place,
- 3:01whether it's the West Side, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie location online finds your Healthy
- 3:06Place dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com. You can chat
- 3:09with the wellness consultant right on the website or in any one of the locations
- 3:13of the Healthy Place. Also fine opportunity right now to get on the air
- 3:15with your great question with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Six O eight
- 3:20three two one thirteen ten. That's six O eight three two one thirteen ten
- 3:23and Tim. When folks call in with their question, not only to get
- 3:27great answers, we get a great conversation. They get a little thank you
- 3:30from you, don't they? Oh yeah, yeah, I'd like to give
- 3:31a twenty five dollars gift card just as a thank you that can be used
- 3:35on our website or in our stores if you have any questions for you or
- 3:39a loved one. Could be small, could be large. You're curious what
- 3:44the natural world from a supplement standpoint would do for this or that, And
- 3:47now's a great time to call. Six eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 3:51That's six eight three two one thirteen ten gets you on the air with Tim
- 3:54O'Brien from The Healthy Place and Tim, some of the items that you guys
- 3:58talk on about on these meetings are some of the things that we talk about
- 4:00on the show. Things like I think a big one is what is at
- 4:03the core of the Healthy Place, Like when it comes to values, what
- 4:08and you I think you touched a little bit on your and Becky's personal history,
- 4:12which is which is at the core as well, isn't it? You
- 4:15know? Core values are huge, you know, and I've read about that
- 4:17early on in business how it's important for a company to have core values,
- 4:20and it took us some years to sort of put that together, and I
- 4:24didn't see the fullness of that value until we maybe five years ago, collected
- 4:29and put together our core values and it goes like this, and integrity is
- 4:33number one. You know, for our team, we don't do commission,
- 4:36so we don't have to worry about integrity around selling a product to a customer
- 4:42just because it has a commission on it. We don't do commission. I
- 4:45kind of got away from that early on, just based on my beginnings working
- 4:48with GMC and sort of watching how that played out. Not that theres anything
- 4:51wrong with the commission, you just don't want to distract on an employee from
- 4:57recommending that which is best in that situation to a customer. So for us,
- 5:01integrity core value, it's about following through on what you signed up for
- 5:08when you came to the Healthy Place. You know, I'm pretty passionate about
- 5:12our community and providing the service that we started this for. You know,
- 5:15there's people suffering, there's people not living the quality of life. They need
- 5:21education, they need empowerment, they need impact, they need to know what
- 5:27their options are. So that they can become the CEO of their own health.
- 5:30So integrity core value is really about following through on what you signed up
- 5:34for when you came to the healthy place. Number two is team. You
- 5:38know, teamwork makes the dream work and together is powerful what we can do
- 5:44for our community and apart, you know, we're going to be less than.
- 5:47Number three is customers. You know, Becky and I believe that our
- 5:50customers are diamonds and they have infinite value. Not because of the you know,
- 5:58financial value that they provide they purchase from us, that's appreciated. I'm
- 6:02speaking about their inherent value because they are human. They have infinite value and
- 6:08we need our team to treat our customers that way. So that's core value
- 6:13Number three. Number four is knowledge. I mean knowledge is our difference maker.
- 6:16Like when people come in and they ask for B twelve because they found
- 6:20out they're low on B twelve, and then we educate them and we're like,
- 6:24hey, science, Cabaloman B twelve synthetic method, Cabaluman's the natural form,
- 6:30highly recommended. What do you think? And that's core value number four
- 6:32And the last one is outlook, which is really attitude and if you have
- 6:38a positive attitude when it comes to caring for our community, loving our community,
- 6:44working hard, that extra step to go the extra mile for that person
- 6:48that's dealing with real chronic issues that needs you in that moment. It's a
- 6:53fork in the road if you have a bad attitude, I mean that can
- 6:56change. These are real human lives we're talking about, and so outlook an
- 7:00attitude very important. That's core value number five. That's pretty it's it's a
- 7:02pretty great list and pretty good great stuff to have that conversations. Also,
- 7:08as we talked with Tim each and every week, Tim obviously as a passionate
- 7:11understanding and knowledge and it runs throughout the entire organization at the Healthy Place,
- 7:15I'd love to help you, whether it's online find your Healthy Place dot com,
- 7:17stopping in saying hello, whether it's the West side of Madison, Fitchburger's,
- 7:21Son Prairie, or getting on the phone six eight three two one thirteen
- 7:25ten. That's three two one thirteen ten and Gary checks in this morning,
- 7:29Gary, welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim O'Brien from
- 7:30The Healthy Place. Hey, good morning, Gary, how are you,
- 7:32buddy? Good morning? Quick question I take human fifty miligrams. Uh,
- 7:41nice milgram. I'm sorry with this Kirk human complex. When I go to
- 7:47the store's look to it as the various Kirk humans to Norma, to Norman,
- 7:55some Havener, and some kind black pepper. What's the difference? Very
- 8:00good question. One of my very favorite conversations is forms of nutrients and bioavailability
- 8:07or absorption of those nutrients. If your body doesn't absorb it well, you
- 8:11don't gain the benefits. Likewise, if you have a higher absorption rate,
- 8:16you'll see more benefits from it. So when it comes to turmeric, the
- 8:20Indian spice that colors your curry orange, turmeric doesn't absorb well at all,
- 8:26so they extract so at one step better is extracting the active compound called curcuminoids,
- 8:33and that still it absorbs much better than turmeric, but it still doesn't
- 8:37absorb that well. So at that point, companies will do different things.
- 8:41Some will add facts like phospholipids to enhance the absorption. Others will add the
- 8:48black pepper you mentioned to enhance the absorption. And there's about a dozen ways
- 8:52that you can enhance the absorption and the number one way that we have discovered
- 8:56over the years is something called BCM ninety five Kirk Human. I talked about
- 9:01it a lot on the show. I was deeply inspired by doctor Joe Ghoul's
- 9:05story down from Baylor University in Texas, and he's been studying BCM ninety five
- 9:09kirk Human for the last fifteen years in treating cancer and depression. It's also
- 9:16incredible for a lot of other things, but that's what he has been studying
- 9:20specifically. So BCM ninety five utilizes a sunflower lesse thin turmeric, essential oils,
- 9:28and standardized kirk humanoids. So those three together, bundled together are called
- 9:33BCM ninety five kurk Human. So that absorbs about ten times better than standardized
- 9:41Kirk human and upward two to five hundred times better than the turmeric that you
- 9:46sprinkle on your curry. So BCM ninety five big deal. Black pepper is
- 9:52okay, it drives absorbtion, but then it quickly leaves the bloodstream. So
- 9:56that's why I'm not a huge fan of the black pepper kirkcu An approach.
- 10:00So I'd advise kirk Human BCM ninety five Kirk Human. If you went to
- 10:03our website, there's a few brands that make it in that form Terry naturally
- 10:09lively vitamin code. But if you type in Kierra Health on our website,
- 10:13that's see you are a health that'll pull up a BC. I'm ninety five
- 10:18for you and that's what i'd recommend. Thank you very much, Gary,
- 10:22I love the question. Great call this morning and YouTube Gary, welcome you

- 11:37That's Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. And Stephanie took the
- 11:41time to email and she says, how can you address thyroid problems naturally?
- 11:46A few years back I found out I had hypothyroidism and the meds were beneficial
- 11:52at first, but now it seems they are not as effective. Any advice
- 11:56And that email is from Stephanie. Yeah, Stephanie, really good question.
- 12:00So my mom actually battled thyroid issues all of her life, so she's been,
- 12:05you know, through the ringer when it comes to thyroid health and struggles,
- 12:09and tyrosine and iodine have been the game changers for her. So there's
- 12:13a product on our site. There's a bunch of them that will have both
- 12:16iodine and tyrosine. The one we recommend most often is called thyroid TLC.
- 12:22That's thyroid TLC. And the most important mineral on the planet for your thyroid
- 12:30is iodine, and people are deficient in iodine. You know, ye,
- 12:35hypothyroidism is Hypothyroism is such a common issue. It's something like seventy percent of
- 12:43women deal with some sort of thyroid struggle or issue. So iodine is very
- 12:48helpful for all humans women specifically battling thyroid issues. Though speaking to Jenny here,
- 12:54so the forms of iodine are huge, potassium iodide, odium iodide.
- 13:01Those are the best forms because again it comes back to absorption, So thyroid
- 13:05TLC. That's why I bring that specific product up. The most important amino
- 13:09acid for your thyroid health is tyrosine and iodine. Tyrosine work really well together.
- 13:16What I like about it is people feel the difference pretty quickly, so
- 13:20they see more energy day one. You'll feel more energy day one. Thyroid
- 13:26is part of your glandular system and your thyroid, your adrenal glands. They
- 13:31work together for your energy creation and people that are battling fatigue. Even if
- 13:35you get a good night's sleep, you're still, like man, fatigue is
- 13:39going on. Often have struggles with their thyroid and adrenals. You know,
- 13:45it could be adrenal fatigue, deficiencies in iodine. There's a nice list going
- 13:48so thyroid TLC is what I'd recommend for you. Great question, great answers,
- 13:54and of course you can always email Tim at find your Healthy Place dot
- 13:56com or give us cast six two thirteen ten. That's three two on thirteen
- 14:00ten and Jason joins us. Jason, welcome to the program. You're on
- 14:03the air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Hey, good morning,
- 14:05Jason, morning guys. How are you doing pretty good? How are you
- 14:09doing? I am doing well. I had a question about migraines. My
- 14:13wife gets about one to two a month usually, and you know she's done
- 14:16different things in the past, but like you know, over the counter medication
- 14:20different things is kind of really messed with her, not really helped all that
- 14:22well. So you just want to see at any recommendation for that, absolutely,
- 14:28mister Jason. And I recognize your voice, my man. You are
- 14:31a customer and a friend. You dog dude, migraines are a plague to
- 14:39people. I have dealt with customers, and I am super sorry about your
- 14:43wife. That is brutal. So a couple of things migraines are of.
- 14:46There's there's like ten different things it could be. So it is a bear
- 14:50to advance on that. But you want to chip away at it. So
- 14:54purple butterburg it sounds like a butterburger or something. I just want to but
- 15:01but purple butterbart is an herb that relaxes the blood vessels in the brain.
- 15:07So that has been probably our top selling nutrient for battling migraines. Stress is
- 15:13a big part of migraines as well, so minimizing stress nutrients like rodeola and
- 15:20ashwaganda that are they're called adaptogens, so they help your body adapt to stress,
- 15:26nourishing and strengthening your adrenal glands. So stress relief is a big deal.
- 15:31Hydration is mondo getting enough minerals and water on a daily basis, So
- 15:39electrolytes like in your water that has been shown to help with migraines. So
- 15:43those those are like the top three rebring up. So I would try those
- 15:48and see where we can keep me posted. Bro, you got my email
- 15:52absolutely perfect. Thanks Jim, I appreciate it. Thank you. Jason,
- 15:54yep, great question, great call, Jason. Great to hear from you
- 15:58and Tim. We've got just about them and it left the program. We
- 16:00started off this week talking about tomorrow's the big get together and of course talking
- 16:06about about the vision and the meeting. Of course they get together with the
- 16:10folks at the Healthy Place, and as we talk, it's it's one of
- 16:12those important things to mention is this is this is you got you, Becky
- 16:18and the whole team at the Healthy Place. I mean, this is really
- 16:21a passion that runs throughout that that part of part of what attracts people to
- 16:26become part of the healthy Places. They love helping people. And that's a
- 16:30really important value, isn't it. I mean, dude, So we have
- 16:33our mission statement. I've said it often on the show. Here, impact
- 16:36and power and educate every customer to learn, grow and create a lifelong foundation
- 16:41of health and wellness, and our mission statements something that we work hard to
- 16:45execute on with every single customer every single day. Our vision is different.
- 16:49You know, our vision statement is infinite. It's end human suffering. It's
- 16:53it's it's bring quality of life to all. And so then when you have
- 16:59that kind of Asian statement, it calls you on a daily basis to expand,
- 17:03to work, to become better, smarter, faster, to provide more
- 17:08services. So when I'm looking at that vision statement of ending human suffering in
- 17:12Madison, because for us, it's all about local here, it's about Madison
- 17:15and it's about Dane County. We have a website that sells nationally, but
- 17:19hey, that profit is getting fueled back into our community, Like, we
- 17:23want to build that which will further end human suffering in Madison. We want
- 17:30to increase quality of life for all in Madison, Like we want to increase
- 17:33life expectancy ten years from now. I have a goal to literally like just
- 17:37not that I can do this alone, but join a movement that increases life
- 17:41expectancy in Madison by ten percent. Like that'd be so cool ten years from
- 17:45now, decreasing the amount of pharmaceutical drugs that people are taking in Madison by
- 17:49ten percent. And it's just this part of our gets it gets you excited,
- 17:53It gets me out of bed in the morning. There's a people life
- 17:56matters, health matters, and they're both worth fighting for. Today is the
- 18:00day to get on and start that journey, start that quest, live that
- 18:03healthy lifestyle, do the right thing for yourself. Share this information as well
- 18:06with your friends and family. Let them know about the healthy Place get on
- 18:10in West side of Madison, Fitchburg's Sun Prairie Online find your Healthy Place dot

- 18:21fantastic day. I love the two man. You two man, enjoy the
