- 0:01Speaker 2: I guess we could, uh the Uh yeah, Bill Frost
- 0:04Speaker 2: is usually here to tell us what's on TV this.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Week, but he's, uh, he's taking some time off.
- 0:08Speaker 1: He's allowed to have some time off.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Well deserved time off.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Bill Frost on vacation, brought to you by c Movies

- 0:27Speaker 4: l F sticks dot org.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Movies TV. Look what I got in the mail.
- 0:36Speaker 2: This is odd.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Those are magazines.
- 0:39Speaker 2: These are catalogs for Blu rays and DVDs.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Oh now wait a minute, what a strange thing.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh, it's really strange, like you could order them to buy.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I've been shouting physical media for a
- 0:53Speaker 2: long time, but look you can, I mean stuff that
- 0:57Speaker 2: is hard to find on stream.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Even so, what is the preferred physical media?
- 1:03Speaker 6: Now?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Is it Blu Ray?
- 1:05Speaker 6: Is that the if you're going to get something physical,
- 1:07Speaker 6: is that what you get?
- 1:09Speaker 2: The key is just making it so that you have
- 1:11Speaker 2: it without any other corporate interference.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, because you don't have to subscribe to
- 1:17Speaker 4: whatever streaming service because their rights with whatever it is.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Because and they can pull.
- 1:23Speaker 2: They'll just pull shows if they don't feel like you're
- 1:26Speaker 2: watching them, like Warner Brothers did with the HBO pulled
- 1:31Speaker 2: the Looney Tunes right off. Luckily, though, I have a
- 1:33Speaker 2: DVD player full of Moody Tips and I can watch
- 1:36Speaker 2: them anytime.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So I don't have a DVD player anymore.
- 1:40Speaker 6: But I'm feeling like I need to have something so
- 1:44Speaker 6: I can watch physical media.
- 1:46Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, is it is a Blu Ray
- 1:47Speaker 1: what I should get?
- 1:48Speaker 5: If yeah, I'd get a Blu Ray.
- 1:50Speaker 4: You get because it'll play any even the old DVDs
- 1:52Speaker 4: will still play it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Okay, that was my.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Shiny.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I mean, for the most part, you know, with your
- 1:59Speaker 2: with your Comcast, you can speak into the remote and
- 2:02Speaker 2: say I want to watch The six Million Dollar Man,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and if it's available on one of.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Your services free, it'll come up.
- 2:10Speaker 5: And that's what I like about that.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But if it's not, if it's say with Amazon, and
- 2:14Speaker 2: you have to buy it per episode, or you could
- 2:18Speaker 2: buy the six Million Dollar Man collection here.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I hate that we have like the first you know,
- 2:24Speaker 4: ten seasons of The Simpsons on DVD somewhere in my basement,
- 2:27Speaker 4: but still subscribed to Disney because it's easier to just
- 2:30Speaker 4: do it that way, right there.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, here's the thing about the Simpsons on Disney pluses.
- 2:34Speaker 2: It's one of their most popularly streamed features, so much
- 2:38Speaker 2: so that they created a channel on the Disney Plus
- 2:41Speaker 2: that just runs enough of it.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yes, it just runs.
- 2:45Speaker 1: You can do that for years.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have to pick. You can just turn
- 2:48Speaker 3: it on and have it on.
- 2:49Speaker 5: It's like Simpsons Russian Roulette.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So yeah, anyway, what what show are you loving? I
- 2:56Speaker 1: know you loved and Or?
- 2:57Speaker 6: But what else?
- 2:58Speaker 2: And Or was just great? It was the best Star Wars.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Never make any more Star Wars. We've done it perfectly. No,
- 3:05Speaker 2: right now, we're watching a Netflix show. Because you know,
- 3:09Speaker 2: there are some actors where it doesn't matter what they're in.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I will watch and Coleman Domingo is one of those guys.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Seasons No, I finished.
- 3:17Speaker 1: That, Oh, because he's in that.
- 3:19Speaker 2: But that said, you know you like Colman Domingo, maybe
- 3:21Speaker 2: you would like this. And it's a series called The Madness.
- 3:24Speaker 5: I have not heard of this.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It's it's starring him, and he plays a CNN type
- 3:31Speaker 2: news reporter whose father was some sort of activist. It's
- 3:36Speaker 2: never been revealed yet. I haven't finished the series. We
- 3:39Speaker 2: still have two more episodes to go.
- 3:41Speaker 3: But he goes to a lake house to write his book.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And while he's there, there's another cabin across the way
- 3:50Speaker 2: and there's a guy over there and they say hi
- 3:53Speaker 2: to each other. Turns out that the guy over there
- 3:56Speaker 2: is the leader of a huge white supremacist movement online.
- 4:01Speaker 1: That's scary.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing. Coleman Domingo's over there.
- 4:04Speaker 2: He goes over because the guy said, anything you need,
- 4:07Speaker 2: let me know, and he goes over to borrow something
- 4:09Speaker 2: from him, and he sees these two guys in masks
- 4:13Speaker 2: not only killing the guy but chopping him up.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah, So somehow Coleman Domingo gets framed for that murder.
- 4:22Speaker 3: So it goes on and on.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We find out that the the white supremacist was being
- 4:27Speaker 2: funded by a Jeff Bezos type person, you know, Bradley
- 4:31Speaker 2: Woodford shows and every time Coleman Domingo thinks he's cleared
- 4:35Speaker 2: his name, something happens. At the end of the episode.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Okay, the madness the madness.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, so I'm.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Quite enjoying watching mob Land, which is Tom Hardy and
- 4:50Speaker 1: Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Any good, it's so good.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Really, my dear husband loves a British crime. Oh and
- 5:00Speaker 6: thank god there's a steady stream of them coming out
- 5:04Speaker 6: because we finished Slow Horses, so which is also very good.
- 5:09Speaker 6: But mob Lands the episodes are like a little mini movies.
- 5:14Speaker 1: They're that well, they're that well done.
- 5:16Speaker 2: So is it Tom Hardy with his British accent? Yes, okay,
- 5:19Speaker 2: because I don't think I've ever seen that.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a British accent.
- 5:23Speaker 6: And in Pierce Brosnan with an Irish accent, so.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Is he Irish?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh and Helen Mirrett has an Irish accent in
- 5:32Speaker 1: this too, so okay, yeah, so that's really good, Todd,
- 5:35Speaker 1: what are you watching?
- 5:36Speaker 5: Two things?
- 5:37Speaker 6: Uh?
- 5:37Speaker 4: I just for the first time in my life, and
- 5:40Speaker 4: I'm probably maybe the only person on earth that can
- 5:43Speaker 4: say this this this In twenty twenty five, I finally
- 5:46Speaker 4: watched every single of the Seinfeld episodes.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Oh really, and you were just.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Now and hadn't right, well, see when that was on
- 5:53Speaker 4: the on the air at my hour my work hours.
- 5:56Speaker 4: I kind of wasn't available to watch a lot of
- 5:58Speaker 4: TV then, and you know, and it's a sitcom, so
- 6:01Speaker 4: I'm like, whatever, it's a sitcom. But my wife would
- 6:03Speaker 4: always have it on. You know, We've been married for
- 6:05Speaker 4: thirty years. So I'd see bits and pieces of it
- 6:08Speaker 4: in my life and I'm like, you know what, I
- 6:09Speaker 4: need to watch just all of these, and she's like, oh,
- 6:12Speaker 4: let's do it. And man, that's just a good stuff.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And I even't loved the finale. I thought that was
- 6:19Speaker 4: like perfect way to wrap that up. And they're just
- 6:21Speaker 4: terrible people.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Everybody bitch about that phenomenal. It was great.
- 6:26Speaker 4: And then another one, Gina, you like true crime and
- 6:29Speaker 4: weird stuff. We've been watching a lot of cult documentaries, yes,
- 6:34Speaker 4: and one on HBO Max. It's called The Way Down
- 6:38Speaker 4: and it's this woman named Gwen Shamblin who first she
- 6:41Speaker 4: starts with this kind of like weight loss sort of
- 6:44Speaker 4: thing and then it evolves into a cult and a
- 6:47Speaker 4: religion and then she thinks she's got or whatever.
- 6:50Speaker 5: And did she die a plane?
- 6:51Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, the plane crash, but like it was, it
- 6:54Speaker 4: was a weight loss based Christian church. And so God
- 6:58Speaker 4: wants you to be thin and buy my book and
- 7:01Speaker 4: it'll tell you how to be thin, and I'll make
- 7:03Speaker 4: a lot of money. And then eventually that's when she
- 7:04Speaker 4: became a religion. You can see her brain just thinking, God,
- 7:07Speaker 4: you know I'm paying taxes on this. When might I
- 7:09Speaker 4: just become a cult And and there you go. So
- 7:11Speaker 4: if you if you want to see her, she's just
- 7:13Speaker 4: a treat because she's miss missed, like plastic surgery and
- 7:18Speaker 4: fake poofy hair.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Gwynn shambling. Okay, but the series on HBO is the
- 7:25Speaker 5: way down.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Here's a here's the Seinfeld collection.
- 7:28Speaker 4: You could buy that and we probably have many my
- 7:31Speaker 4: I know we have a lot of those on DVD.
- 7:33Speaker 4: But we were watching it on like Netflix or whoever
- 7:35Speaker 4: they'll has it.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Like somebody says, I'm sorry, Todd, The answer is the.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Moops, the moops. I mean, if you want to see
- 7:43Speaker 3: sequest DSV, where do you go?
- 7:45Speaker 1: I don't know, are you going to buy some of these?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Nobody knows what sequest DSV is except for me.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Are you going to get some?
- 7:52Speaker 3: I don't know. There's stop in there.
- 7:54Speaker 5: He already has many.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I do have a lot of them.
- 7:56Speaker 4: See, I kept my DVDs I did not get rid
- 7:58Speaker 4: of any of them. There in the basement and somewhere
- 8:00Speaker 4: and now.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Here's a texture.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Currently, DVD is still the most purchased physical medium, even
- 8:05Speaker 2: though it's outdated compared to higher definitions. Blu ray would
- 8:08Speaker 2: be second. Also, you do have a Blu ray player
- 8:12Speaker 2: if you have a game system in your house. Oh,
- 8:15Speaker 2: because recent video game consoles except Nintendo Switch have a well.
- 8:20Speaker 5: They're super like.
- 8:21Speaker 4: We just got one maybe a couple of years ago,
- 8:24Speaker 4: and it was like I had a hard time spending
- 8:27Speaker 4: one hundred dollars getting a really nice one.
- 8:29Speaker 5: So they're cheap as hell.
- 8:31Speaker 6: Yeah, but that means I'd have to go watch these
- 8:33Speaker 6: in my son's room, and I'm not going to do that.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Stor on Amazon by.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Needs to watch your stories on your Xbox physical media.
- 8:44Speaker 5: It's a thing I'm with you carry absolutely, And.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I'm not going to answer this question my six year old.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I'm introducing them to Star Wars. In your opinion, what
- 8:52Speaker 2: order should we watch? I'm not going to weigh in
- 8:55Speaker 2: on this. You watch whatever order.
- 8:57Speaker 5: You want, because the six year old is gonna dig
- 8:59Speaker 5: jar jar.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Okay, I'll just say that your six year old is
- 9:03Speaker 2: going to love jarge Art. Do not deprive him of
- 9:06Speaker 2: jar Jar, regardless of what you think.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I'm so I'm so all about physical media that I
- 9:12Speaker 4: don't even subscribe to Spotify.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I get my music from.
- 9:17Speaker 1: The radio, from the radio, and say, the radio.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I listened to the rad No I do, I mean
- 9:23Speaker 4: I really do, and and uh and then records and
- 9:26Speaker 4: like I listened to something on vinyl like every morning
- 9:29Speaker 4: when I first get up, and then uh, then I
- 9:31Speaker 4: put on the radio from Hell show like a good
- 9:33Speaker 4: like a good regular listener.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Sometimes I'm up before you guys are even on. So
- 9:36Speaker 5: that's why E.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Dub in the chat room says, Sequest DSV is on Peacock.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Okay, a lot of it is out there still, but yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 4: there's a dolphin in it.
