- 0:46Speaker 1: I mean listening to the Sports Shock Show. I am
- 0:49Speaker 1: the sport Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning till you uh.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I hope you are hearing me out there. I know
- 0:55Speaker 1: the storms are coming through down here in the South
- 1:00Speaker 1: Florida in that bend as they call it in the
- 1:04Speaker 1: gun Handle. I guess they call it the bend because
- 1:07Speaker 1: you know, PC, you don't want to call it a
- 1:09Speaker 1: gun handle. But every show on TV is about violence.
- 1:14Speaker 1: I'll tell them about the gun handleball. I don't know
- 1:17Speaker 1: how it works, but they don't want you to call
- 1:20Speaker 1: the floor. I guess, so they called it the bind.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But a storm is coming through rain here in the
- 1:25Speaker 1: area for the next twenty four thirty six hours here
- 1:30Speaker 1: in Atlanta. But if you're in Florida, New Orleans, Texas,
- 1:35Speaker 1: anywhere in that area. Right there, Louisiana, we hope you
- 1:40Speaker 1: are safe. Hopefully this will just be rain and not
- 1:45Speaker 1: any kind of hurricane turns into national state of emergencies
- 1:51Speaker 1: as we have seen. Feel like an uptick. Maybe it
- 1:55Speaker 1: was going on all the time, and just after Katrina
- 1:58Speaker 1: we all started paying more attention, but it seems like
- 2:01Speaker 1: an uptick of storm issues in our country that's doing
- 2:06Speaker 1: a lot of damage. But just rain.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Here.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Certain games Alabama and m and FAM you I know
- 2:15Speaker 1: they counsel their game. My game for Friday Night Lights
- 2:19Speaker 1: here in Georgia has been postponed. They're going to reschedule
- 2:24Speaker 1: lit for Tomorrow night, which I think, in my recollection
- 2:30Speaker 1: is the first game I've ever had canceled due to rain.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I think, so I couldn't remember a game that was
- 2:40Speaker 1: just for rain. But I guess they're anticipating the damage
- 2:44Speaker 1: in Georgia. If you don't know, they probade themselves on
- 2:46Speaker 1: having a lot of trees, especially in the metro area,
- 2:50Speaker 1: which causes a lot of debris and a lot of
- 2:53Speaker 1: outages around the city of the game is being postponed.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Was looking forward to the game too. It was between
- 3:01Speaker 1: Grayson as we know here as the University of Grayson
- 3:06Speaker 1: versus Newton the Rams of Newton six a clash. Both
- 3:11Speaker 1: teams had high expectations and between the two teams about
- 3:16Speaker 1: fifty college scholarships. Grayson even as the number one prospect
- 3:22Speaker 1: next year. He's a junior. He's a linebacker, number one linebacker,
- 3:25Speaker 1: number two or three prospect in the country named Tyler Atkinson,
- 3:31Speaker 1: junior sixty three to twenty plays middle linebacker. And if
- 3:37Speaker 1: you got your pocketbooks open your paychecks, stop calling it
- 3:42Speaker 1: n I L. Cross through that. Stop having conversations about
- 3:46Speaker 1: n I L. It's a pay check. If you can
- 3:50Speaker 1: cut a check check, you might want to go to Grayson.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And this young man tackles. He tackles everybody. He tackles
- 3:59Speaker 1: all offensive personnel at once, so everybody seems like they
- 4:05Speaker 1: go down. He tackled running back, all the receivers get
- 4:08Speaker 1: tackled tighty end. Does he take quack? Yeah, take cash
- 4:12Speaker 1: travels really really feel comfortable with the paper trail stew
- 4:20Speaker 1: paycheck Now I'm saying paycheck still no paper, trail, no paper.
- 4:25Speaker 5: No.
- 4:26Speaker 1: They okay, it's legal now, yeah, you can go right
- 4:28Speaker 1: on the commercial. That's what they told us. It's as
- 4:32Speaker 1: legal as it can become. Thursday night football. How about
- 4:35Speaker 1: them Cowboys looking to get them a little back on
- 4:38Speaker 1: the winning track. Let's see on a quick week. I
- 4:42Speaker 1: haven't even gotten the image of Michael Parson cursing out
- 4:46Speaker 1: the defense yet. And they're back on the field, headed
- 4:49Speaker 1: to New York to take on the Giants, who have
- 4:52Speaker 1: been just struggling to find an identity. They got away
- 4:57Speaker 1: from that identity, I think, and that's something a long time.
- 5:02Speaker 1: When you think about the Giants, the Phil Simms, Lauren
- 5:05Speaker 1: Taylor Giants, the Eli Manning, Michael Strahan giants, it was
- 5:11Speaker 1: more of an old school model, play great defense, play
- 5:16Speaker 1: action football kind of you know. Quarterback, you know, it
- 5:21Speaker 1: was more like a Troy Aikman. It was like the
- 5:23Speaker 1: old Dallas teams. They were all the same way most quarterbacks.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I keep trying to tell you, they are Troy Aikman,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and you try to turn them into Aaron Rodgers. You're
- 5:35Speaker 1: trying to turn them into but there mostly they and
- 5:38Speaker 1: as I remember, Troyigman's in the Hall of Fame. Correct, Hello, Hello,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you mean Troykman played with Dallas. Yeah, most of the drafting.
- 5:50Speaker 1: If you if you played them like that, they would
- 5:52Speaker 1: be more what you drafted. But because you get them
- 5:56Speaker 1: and you try to turn them instantly into Patrick mahone,
- 6:01Speaker 1: then they falter, their confidence falls, they get hit a lot,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and they just don't have a career. And if you
- 6:09Speaker 1: took them and you really matured them and Troy Aikman,
- 6:13Speaker 1: it's the same blueprin to get back to the Giants.
- 6:15Speaker 1: As the Giants used to they always had very solid,
- 6:18Speaker 1: capable quarterbacks. They would run the ball, good running backs, yeah,
- 6:23Speaker 1: and play action fake you. They always had them a
- 6:25Speaker 1: big tight end. It was a conversion offense, and they
- 6:28Speaker 1: would play defense on the other side of the ball.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And the quarterback for Sim's Eli although they were never
- 6:35Speaker 1: like the nimble Eli Manning. He was never the running quarterback. No,
- 6:40Speaker 1: he was just whoever. They had stayed along that Jeff
- 6:44Speaker 1: what was it that Jeff hostile? Hostile? He even did
- 6:48Speaker 1: some good jobs. They would find those and play that
- 6:51Speaker 1: kind of ball. And now everybody wants to take Daniel
- 6:55Speaker 1: Jones and everybody else. They keep grabbing and go to
- 6:58Speaker 1: a spread offense. I know you just got we don't
- 7:01Speaker 1: want to We don't want them to be Patrick Mahomes.
- 7:03Speaker 1: We want them to be Patrick Mahomes esque. Yeah, how
- 7:07Speaker 1: about just not letting them be themselves? Oh no, that
- 7:10Speaker 1: ain't gonna work. That kind of mind, that kind of approach.
- 7:17Speaker 6: Like I heard someone say that the quarterback is now
- 7:20Speaker 6: probably the poorest developed position on the football team. What
- 7:26Speaker 6: do you think about if someone said something like that,
- 7:28Speaker 6: What do you think of something like that?
- 7:29Speaker 1: And do you think it's I've said it, quarterbacks and
- 7:34Speaker 1: offensive line are the most undeveloped positions on the field because,
- 7:41Speaker 1: first and foremost, you cut down on time. It takes time. Sadly,
- 7:48Speaker 1: it took me two or three years in college to
- 7:51Speaker 1: figure out, Oh, to be good at this, it does
- 7:54Speaker 1: take this much time because you get there and it's like, man,
- 7:56Speaker 1: why are everybody else gone? Right after practice? Only the
- 8:01Speaker 1: quarterback typically is still there doing some drills, and the
- 8:03Speaker 1: old line is still out there with the old line
- 8:06Speaker 1: coach doing some drills. Everybody else is halfway in the shower.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And as much as this draunto that you are, it
- 8:14Speaker 1: is something that has to become innate as breathing, your footsteps,
- 8:21Speaker 1: your hips, everything has to alter to right. Now, fifteen
- 8:25Speaker 1: years removed, my hips are still set. They're so set.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I stayed in that position so long that the right
- 8:34Speaker 1: hip and the left hip functions that are different. I'm
- 8:37Speaker 1: always trying to bend them to square up because they
- 8:40Speaker 1: were set where the right one was up and the
- 8:42Speaker 1: left one was back. Take that. Take that the left
- 8:46Speaker 1: ankle and the right ankle are two different flexes. They
- 8:50Speaker 1: were set like that so long that I have to
- 8:53Speaker 1: try to balance myself back. It really is. And that's
- 8:56Speaker 1: how a quarterback is. He has to take that time.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But we cut all the time out in high school,
- 9:05Speaker 1: college FROs. We got all these rules, how long we
- 9:07Speaker 1: can be in passed, how long we can even run
- 9:09Speaker 1: a drill?
- 9:11Speaker 7: And then you know, do you think part of that
- 9:13Speaker 7: is that a lot of these quarterbacks are expected to
- 9:16Speaker 7: have that natural thing that they do.
- 9:19Speaker 1: The Lamar Jackson, the Caleb with the justin field. Just
- 9:23Speaker 1: if it breaks down, if you miss the coverage, if
- 9:26Speaker 1: you can't read your just do your thing, do the
- 9:29Speaker 1: spend three times and run. Everybody's got one of those guys.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Television with the ads power Aid Dura Sell all these things,
- 9:41Speaker 1: they give you the sense that your grandson it's Lamar Jackson.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Oh he could. But if Lamar Jackson and Michael Vick,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I would have to put him in the foot race
- 9:58Speaker 1: or the too fastest guy ever played the position. What
- 10:01Speaker 1: makes your grandson even in their their whole he eats,
- 10:05Speaker 1: he eats the same. But why they are who they
- 10:10Speaker 1: are is that they are so fast that they can
- 10:17Speaker 1: get away with mistakes. They can cheat. So now when
- 10:22Speaker 1: your son, you can show me that your son can
- 10:24Speaker 1: run a four to two, I can. We can cheat
- 10:27Speaker 1: them with red bulls as precise because when they go
- 10:32Speaker 1: to do that thing, who's faster, it takes some cornerback
- 10:37Speaker 1: maybe that to run them down. It would take it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But the advertiser said that tide makes him quick on
- 10:45Speaker 1: his feet and able to because the dirt has been
- 10:50Speaker 1: riched clean out of his uniform, which gives him extra
- 10:54Speaker 1: And that's what that's what the power tells using tiede pods.
- 10:58Speaker 1: So surely he can get to the NFL like and
- 11:02Speaker 1: he drinks power, and which gets him closer. It must
- 11:05Speaker 1: be the shoes money, it gotta be. Mike, Yeah, get
- 11:09Speaker 1: you a pair of George and go see well, I'm
- 11:13Speaker 1: saying it didn't. It worked for me first, but if
- 11:18Speaker 1: it could work now that them Vince calls do not
- 11:21Speaker 1: make you jump like that. Trust me, it was Vince. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I don't think it had nothing to do with the shoe,
- 11:29Speaker 1: because something tells me in any shoe he would have
- 11:31Speaker 1: been doing that same dunk. But the advertisers are like,
- 11:34Speaker 1: don't listen to the sports shot. Don't listen. But Thursday
- 11:38Speaker 1: night football, we are here Dallas with the Giants. Big
- 11:42Speaker 1: game in college football with UGA and BEMA on Saturday,
- 11:46Speaker 1: and a big question before we go. Are the astronauts
- 11:50Speaker 1: still on the space station? Listen? They sent some civilians
- 11:55Speaker 1: up and bought them back. Oh they're back. The civilians
- 11:58Speaker 1: went by the two astro I'm not stuck up there
- 12:01Speaker 1: and wave like bruh, y'all, hold tight, we're gonna spin
- 12:03Speaker 1: the block. And then came home and was like, oops,
- 12:06Speaker 1: we forgot. They're still up there. They still there till February.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We'll be back with more than sports. They're gonna bring Yeah,
- 12:12Speaker 1: black history. Mind, we'll be back right after this. They've
- 12:15Speaker 1: been the same building, but we got different views. I
- 12:18Speaker 1: got a couple of claws. I never get to use.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Don't like my women's single, I Light my chicks and sows,
- 12:25Speaker 1: n joh't bowl. Wayne Board of the Sports John Show

- 15:22Speaker 1: Has taken it to a completely different level this year
- 15:24Speaker 1: where we highlight an appolyte that has taken their game
- 15:27Speaker 1: to the next level. Day day, All right, what went
- 15:51Speaker 1: back to the Shock Show? This Smoy Shock Wayne game
- 15:54Speaker 1: to good morning to you. We have run back into
- 15:58Speaker 1: Thursday Thursday night football. Check your listings, check your tickets,
- 16:04Speaker 1: make su you're on Saturday, wherever you're going, especially if
- 16:07Speaker 1: it's in Georgia or Louisiana, Florida, make sure the game
- 16:12Speaker 1: is still going. As I said, there have been already
- 16:17Speaker 1: a couple of games that have been rescheduled or postponed
- 16:22Speaker 1: to later in the year or just sometimes based on
- 16:26Speaker 1: who you're playing. They will just get rid of the
- 16:29Speaker 1: game completely. It's based on high school or college pro games.
- 16:34Speaker 1: You know what you locked in. You never rarely see
- 16:38Speaker 1: a pro game not play. They'll just push it to
- 16:41Speaker 1: tomorrow if they have to. But check your listings with
- 16:44Speaker 1: the rain in the area, the storm is Helen or Helena. Helena.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Helena is the storm that is. Wasn't there a Buffalo
- 16:53Speaker 1: game canceled once because of weather in like last slow. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 1: they moved it from Sunday to Monday. Okay, yeah, I
- 17:04Speaker 1: thought they played.
- 17:04Speaker 9: They couldn't get the stadium. They couldn't get the stadium ready.
- 17:08Speaker 6: I don't know if it was Buffalo, but there was
- 17:10Speaker 6: a game. It was moved to Detroit, right like neither
- 17:14Speaker 6: team Detroit was neither team, but they moved to Detroit.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember someone. Yeah, they're going to get that game.
- 17:21Speaker 1: In college football back this weekend, the big game is
- 17:26Speaker 1: the Bulldogs of Georgia taking on the Tide of Bama.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Typically when this game is played it's the SEC championship
- 17:33Speaker 1: or the National Championship game. One of the rare times
- 17:37Speaker 1: over the Lads decade that this game is a regular
- 17:40Speaker 1: season game. Georgia and Bama basically mere images of each other.
- 17:47Speaker 1: As Kirby Smart a couple of years ago decided to
- 17:50Speaker 1: stop being the defensive coordinator of Obama and went to
- 17:54Speaker 1: Athens and did the one thing that we always knew.
- 17:57Speaker 1: If he could lock the gates of Georgie. And remember,
- 18:01Speaker 1: Georgia has never been a bad team. There always been
- 18:05Speaker 1: nine and three, ten and two. You know, that is
- 18:09Speaker 1: the typical record, no matter who the head coach is
- 18:11Speaker 1: up there, because that's the kind of talent. You always
- 18:14Speaker 1: knew they would take over the country if they could
- 18:17Speaker 1: keep those two or three players in the state. That
- 18:22Speaker 1: someone Caroll like South Carolina would come poach, or Old
- 18:25Speaker 1: miss would come poach, or even my Auburn Tigers would
- 18:28Speaker 1: come down here and grab a running Brown from Cartersville.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You know, we would grab whoever a to Kio Spikes
- 18:37Speaker 1: or someone that most likely was on their path to Georgia.
- 18:42Speaker 1: But then this is when you had to push the
- 18:44Speaker 1: money under the tape. Now you could just as well
- 18:48Speaker 1: out the good old days. Now you just leave the
- 18:51Speaker 1: car running with the money inside the car. Oh and
- 18:55Speaker 1: just hand them the vallet ticket, but with the red
- 18:58Speaker 1: with the red ribbon on it and everything they can
- 19:00Speaker 1: post it on social media in front of the NC
- 19:03Speaker 1: double a billing just got my bag, Just got my bag.
- 19:07Speaker 1: This car is for you for signing with our Yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Back up, But interesting story coming from the game. Arch
- 19:15Speaker 1: manning with Texas and number one in the country last
- 19:20Speaker 1: week beating Louisiana Monroe fifty one to three. Art struggled
- 19:25Speaker 1: in that fifty one to three, you know, because you
- 19:28Speaker 1: know how bad you can struggle when you beat someone.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Fifty one to three should have been fifty four to three. Yeah,
- 19:35Speaker 1: he threw an interception, so it kind of heard him
- 19:39Speaker 1: in that fifty one of the three, you know. That's
- 19:41Speaker 1: how they got three points. It had me nervous, half
- 19:44Speaker 1: me nervous. I cut you. But in the game, the
- 19:49Speaker 1: story is young lady sitting there with her two children. Uh,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and there's a photo of her daughter drinking what looks
- 20:01Speaker 1: to be a beer. Looks like it has the little cooler.
- 20:14Speaker 1: That's what I don't know. That cozy space space. Take that.
- 20:25Speaker 10: That call.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Call it a cozy a brother love. When I say
- 20:35Speaker 1: call it a brother love, cozy, take that. Take that
- 20:39Speaker 1: and you can see the top of the can. Now
- 20:43Speaker 1: it looks like them maybe a michelob ultra and the
- 20:47Speaker 1: young lady who looks to be maybe four five years old.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It's taking a couple of swigs first and foremost for
- 20:55Speaker 1: the guys that drink. What age would you think? What's
- 20:58Speaker 1: your first drink? Not that you remember exactly kind of
- 21:04Speaker 1: I'll go last commands. Uh, sixteen sixteen, okay, bad producer.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Yeah by about fifteen sixteen once he in high school. Okay,
- 21:21Speaker 1: big Kenny eyes at the game with this kid. No
- 21:27Speaker 1: real life, real life, real life. That's what I'm saying.
- 21:30Speaker 1: When you said, a little kid about five with a
- 21:33Speaker 1: what do you call it? A snugly, snugly, a cozy,
- 21:38Speaker 1: a spoony, what did you call it? A sleeve? Okay, okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: we're called the sleeves. That was but that was me.
- 21:47Speaker 11: That was me.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Just as long as the kid ain't acting weird. You
- 21:50Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. He ain't being Spider Man or
- 21:53Speaker 1: nothing like that. He's sitting down. Hit him with a
- 21:56Speaker 1: little a half an ultra light though he five. We
- 21:59Speaker 1: ain't gonna get no beer. You'll get hold beer to
- 22:01Speaker 1: you ten. You see what I'm saying. But yeah, that
- 22:04Speaker 1: made sense. Okay, we at the game. Everybody it looks at.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Somebody behind them, maybe two seats back, saw the young
- 22:12Speaker 1: lady and took the picture of her. Now we don't
- 22:15Speaker 1: know what was in it. The mother could have poured
- 22:19Speaker 1: some other liquid in the can. No, No, that that's
- 22:23Speaker 1: when she's sending maybe some apple juice. That's Mickey Ulcher.
- 22:26Speaker 1: That's Mickey and the kid hitting it video swinging.
- 22:33Speaker 4: What is this?
- 22:34Speaker 1: She hit it like, Yeah, there's some good football right here. Mama.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm saying that with wings. But list we all drank
- 22:44Speaker 1: beer at five? Am I? Right?
- 22:46Speaker 12: Am? I?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Right? Come on, man, I was y'all didn't go with
- 22:52Speaker 1: your granddaddy's just drinking. Oh see that that's part of
- 22:59Speaker 1: the benefit, part of the granddaddy's good for a beer.
- 23:05Speaker 1: For a beer at five? Granddaddy is baby? Come back? No,
- 23:10Speaker 1: they just calm and ready to go to sleep, to sleep.
- 23:15Speaker 1: We'll be back more to sports stop show right after this.

- 25:12Speaker 15: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 25:17Speaker 15: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 25:22Speaker 14: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 25:25Speaker 14: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 25:27Speaker 14: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 25:30Speaker 14: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 25:33Speaker 14: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 25:36Speaker 14: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 25:39Speaker 14: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 25:43Speaker 14: I am whole. I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 26:23Speaker 5: Yeahs oh boy, this is the official hustless anth.
- 26:26Speaker 13: You're getting money throw it in.
- 26:28Speaker 1: The age, Yes, super is that that still smell of
- 26:31Speaker 1: my clothes? Like Krista Green, I was cooking the moon.
- 26:33Speaker 16: And the moon like horseshoes, I was tossing the MOS's
- 26:36Speaker 16: having to re up. Got a recyclar flow the flock.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm amos and I love the block as. I'm so
- 26:42Speaker 1: emotion I love can't ruise everything around me? So what's willer?
- 26:47Speaker 1: So I is Frina? Call me a ghost race chill?
- 26:50Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to beat drug free. What wack
- 26:53Speaker 1: to this? Whe shock show? I'm this one shock winge
- 26:55Speaker 1: Gamycause morning to you out there listening, man, Big Kenny command,
- 26:59Speaker 1: your Greg bad producer. All in the building today. Kansas City,
- 27:03Speaker 1: who are three and o winning similar to how they
- 27:08Speaker 1: won last year. Very tight games, people expecting some sense
- 27:13Speaker 1: that is always going to be a blowout. It is
- 27:16Speaker 1: called pro sports. Teams have adjusted to what Kansas City does.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Kansas City has to change their style up a little differently.
- 27:27Speaker 1: This week they're going to start kareem Hunt, which most
- 27:31Speaker 1: likely means they're going to get back to a more
- 27:37Speaker 1: consistent run game. Kareem Hunt in this offense is what
- 27:44Speaker 1: really put them on the map when he was there
- 27:47Speaker 1: as a rookie at the league in rushing, and that's
- 27:51Speaker 1: the component people have adjusted. We're pros. We spend eight
- 27:56Speaker 1: ten hours a day watching film. It took a little while,
- 28:00Speaker 1: but now we're expecting the trick play. We're expecting the
- 28:05Speaker 1: underhand have He's not gonna go all the way out.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Watch him the whole time. You're thinking, Oh, he's gonna
- 28:13Speaker 1: run all the way to the flat. No, he's gonna
- 28:15Speaker 1: go out, act like he's going to the flat, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: then go back underneath. Everybody's caught up to that. Now
- 28:20Speaker 1: you gotta throw something in that they aren't put Kareem Hunt.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I said all that to say, y'all are hitting the chiefs.
- 28:28Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with Travis kelcey. And this is not
- 28:31Speaker 1: Taylor Swift's fault. Travis Kelsey is thirty five. It was
- 28:42Speaker 1: always gonna come down to Travis Kelsey has gotten old.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Before the show command you, Greg mentioned that Dereck Rose,
- 28:54Speaker 1: the number one pick when he came out, had a
- 28:57Speaker 1: bunch of injury. He's retired. He's thirty five. The greatness
- 29:02Speaker 1: of what people are cherishing about A Lebron James, A
- 29:09Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant, a Kareem were those handful of guys that
- 29:15Speaker 1: after thirty five, they still was giving it to you
- 29:19Speaker 1: like they were thirty two. In football, quarterbacks, old linemen
- 29:27Speaker 1: and kickers are the only people that can kind of
- 29:30Speaker 1: hold on a little longer because it doesn't require you
- 29:35Speaker 1: to keep your speed. It doesn't require I don't have
- 29:41Speaker 1: to continue to run that four to nine as alignment.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I can still work. It's not now if you're running quarterback,
- 29:50Speaker 1: it can hit you a little harder like a Steve
- 29:54Speaker 1: once you lose that step. But the pocket passer, quarterback
- 29:59Speaker 1: Aaron Rod all they got to do in Rogers, they
- 30:01Speaker 1: can move around, they can play a little longer, they
- 30:04Speaker 1: can still be on the top of their game. But
- 30:06Speaker 1: if you have the component that you needed, speed and quickness.
- 30:10Speaker 1: That's why we celebrated Darryl Green back in the day
- 30:14Speaker 1: that at thirty seven thirty eight he was still able
- 30:17Speaker 1: to run with the young thunder Cats. But most cornerbacks
- 30:21Speaker 1: are retired by thirty five or they've moved over the safety.
- 30:27Speaker 1: The greatest that we tell you at cornerback, what did
- 30:30Speaker 1: Dion do at the end of his career exactly.
- 30:33Speaker 10: That's because you know what when they went to open
- 30:38Speaker 10: their house and them young ThunderCats like Julio, it came,
- 30:43Speaker 10: or them new guys, it came and they went.
- 30:45Speaker 1: To run with them, they couldn't. But I can do
- 30:47Speaker 1: the safety thing because if I'm at safety, I'm usually
- 30:51Speaker 1: more in a zone or I'm covering the tight end
- 30:53Speaker 1: or the back out of the backfield. But I can't
- 30:56Speaker 1: move at corner. That's why the legendary Hall of Famer
- 31:00Speaker 1: Darryl Green, he was still able to hold that component
- 31:04Speaker 1: of speed. Backs that stay around long time go from
- 31:09Speaker 1: speeding backs to power backs. So your power back actually
- 31:13Speaker 1: like a Derrick Henry or all day Adrian Peterson that
- 31:17Speaker 1: can go from the home run. But I can get
- 31:21Speaker 1: you these tough four yards though, right they can stick
- 31:24Speaker 1: around a little. I'm just kind of painting a picture
- 31:26Speaker 1: of who Travis Kelsey. Sure distractions all around, but it's
- 31:32Speaker 1: more East thirty five. How many of your great tight
- 31:34Speaker 1: ends did anything after thirty five? They get about three
- 31:38Speaker 1: or four catches here there, look for key catcher. They
- 31:41Speaker 1: definitely were not the number one option at thirty five.
- 31:47Speaker 1: They became more of what we call possession. Remember Tony
- 31:49Speaker 1: guns Olli, Yeah, one of the greatest they ever do it.
- 31:53Speaker 1: They were more of a possession tight end or possession receiver.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Last fix Gerhold, he wasn't He wasn't the main guy, right.
- 32:04Speaker 1: He was running a little stop routes in the mid
- 32:06Speaker 1: He was just so big. They was using him out
- 32:09Speaker 1: like a tight end. But he running. He wasn't running
- 32:12Speaker 1: no goat routes. So give it a little time, and
- 32:17Speaker 1: then Travis Kelsey is not gonna be the Travis Kelcey
- 32:21Speaker 1: that we have come to love. You got to love
- 32:25Speaker 1: a different version of him, just like we had to
- 32:28Speaker 1: live a love a different version of his airness. There
- 32:33Speaker 1: was a Michael Jordan in a Bulls uniform, and then
- 32:36Speaker 1: there was old man Mike with the Willet Wizards who
- 32:41Speaker 1: put on ten pounds and adjusted his game and went
- 32:44Speaker 1: to posting up those kind of things. But you didn't
- 32:49Speaker 1: see Mike at the top of the key and a
- 32:51Speaker 1: wizard uniform doing that thing. The people he was speaking
- 32:54Speaker 1: doing like Vince Carter did at end of his Girl.
- 32:56Speaker 1: And there was a Fingertip Duncan holding onto the rim
- 33:00Speaker 1: he can still Yeah, that's what Vinc's doing at the game.
- 33:05Speaker 1: He could dump and then he let itself down, like, nah,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I can't take that landing though, you just have to
- 33:11Speaker 1: let itself down. I said, Yes, that's that old man
- 33:13Speaker 1: let down and these can't take that coming back down
- 33:16Speaker 1: to earth.
- 33:18Speaker 7: Well, I think Travis Kelcey still has that. Do you
- 33:25Speaker 7: think sometimes even like at a thirty five, a Travis
- 33:30Speaker 7: Kelcey might catch you nodding off a little bit, like
- 33:35Speaker 7: thinking that, man, this dude didn't God, oh, he's not
- 33:37Speaker 7: gonna be the same. And a lot of people may
- 33:40Speaker 7: assume that just because of the distractions, the Taylor Swift thing,
- 33:43Speaker 7: that he's not preparing himself. Green had to obviously focus
- 33:49Speaker 7: and make himself capable of doing that. Maybe Travis Kelcey,
- 33:55Speaker 7: that's the part nobody's showing us. They're so busy trying
- 33:59Speaker 7: to show him holding hands with Taylor Swift or somewhere
- 34:03Speaker 7: with his brother doing a podcast that they're not showing
- 34:06Speaker 7: him running laps or running stadiums. And I would like
- 34:10Speaker 7: to think he's still doing some of that. But the
- 34:13Speaker 7: truth of the matter is Kansas City can't keep going
- 34:16Speaker 7: to that one trick pony. Like you said, they figured
- 34:19Speaker 7: out a lot of what used to make them the
- 34:22Speaker 7: now back to back super Bowl champions.
- 34:25Speaker 1: So you know, and he's going to still have he
- 34:28Speaker 1: can still be used and still be effective in moments.
- 34:31Speaker 1: It's just not going to be that separation. And to
- 34:34Speaker 1: give you a quick timeline, we'll move on. When you're
- 34:36Speaker 1: twenty two, the game starts at one pm, you show
- 34:42Speaker 1: up at eleven am. When you are thirty, game starts
- 34:48Speaker 1: at one pm, you show up at ten am. When
- 34:55Speaker 1: you're thirty five, and the game starts at one pm,
- 34:59Speaker 1: you show up when they open the stadium to get
- 35:01Speaker 1: warmed up. That's how your body changed. You go from
- 35:07Speaker 1: the last bus from the hotel to the first bus.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Now it takes you all because the first bus usually
- 35:15Speaker 1: about eight thirty, it takes you all four hours. It
- 35:20Speaker 1: seemed like it was like forty five minutes. But you
- 35:23Speaker 1: in there so long. You got to see everybody the
- 35:27Speaker 1: team offers. You got to see the stretch doctor, the
- 35:36Speaker 1: spine doctor. Somebody got to open your hips. This dude
- 35:40Speaker 1: gotta put some being gay on you. You gotta go
- 35:44Speaker 1: warm up, come back, get all of those go to
- 35:46Speaker 1: the chiropractor, then go warm up again. See your cousin Charlie,
- 35:53Speaker 1: and next thing, you know, ready to go out for game. Man,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I ain't even got my back check, I ain't got
- 35:59Speaker 1: my shot. Yeah, I mean shot over here. And that's
- 36:06Speaker 1: really how it goes. It really is a mature maturation
- 36:10Speaker 1: of your body.
- 36:12Speaker 9: I think that not because I think that Kelsey is
- 36:15Speaker 9: still prepared because of the coaches now Andy Reid, Now
- 36:19Speaker 9: Andy Reid. I really think that teams are, like you said,
- 36:23Speaker 9: they're preparing for him a little bit more.
- 36:25Speaker 1: They're there, they are not He's like he's getting older,
- 36:29Speaker 1: maybe losing some steps.
- 36:31Speaker 9: But I think that a lot of people have have
- 36:34Speaker 9: prepared for him a little bit more and he's just
- 36:36Speaker 9: trying to find his way through. I don't think that
- 36:38Speaker 9: he's slowing down like some of the articles I've seen
- 36:42Speaker 9: or the distractions, because I don't think Andy Reid's that
- 36:45Speaker 9: type of coach and his staff is not going to
- 36:47Speaker 9: let you get even though it seems like that get
- 36:50Speaker 9: caught up in that in that situation.
- 36:53Speaker 1: As far as reading your own headlines, when talent fades,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it fades. There is no predictor. You don't know when
- 37:06Speaker 1: the bottom of what you want. And I watched him
- 37:10Speaker 1: play a year ago, when he would do that move
- 37:14Speaker 1: and go to run, he would get in separation. Now
- 37:16Speaker 1: the separation don't happen right You're you're no longer getting
- 37:21Speaker 1: on top of the receiver. Now most of your catches
- 37:24Speaker 1: are in traffic. That's why you see your great receivers
- 37:28Speaker 1: at around the end of the year. They're shorter passes.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Whoever's guarding him is right there. You remember when he
- 37:37Speaker 1: used to he fighting and pushing and shoving with the
- 37:42Speaker 1: corner back the whole way, because that's just how it happens.
- 37:45Speaker 1: But Travis Kelsey, the Kansas City Chiefs three and oh,
- 37:48Speaker 1: who are they playing this week? The y'all, I think
- 37:51Speaker 1: it's Denver, the Broncos, bo Nicks war Egal to your boat.
- 37:56Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the show right after that.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I'm this world, how well right there?
- 38:05Speaker 17: Like a girl to yoo seating their creday, haven't come
- 38:10Speaker 17: to thee when.

- 40:19Speaker 20: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generation race car driver, and

- 40:30Speaker 20: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 40:33Speaker 20: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 40:35Speaker 20: journey with my Grandpa Lou and the memories of my
- 40:37Speaker 20: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 40:40Speaker 20: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with

- 41:50Speaker 1: even be Jny, Welcome back to this boy sock show,
- 41:55Speaker 1: This boy Soock, Wayne Dandy, the legend of Southern Myths.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Brett Farv the Green Bay Packer great the Hall of
- 42:04Speaker 1: Famer fifty four years old, was in session basically the
- 42:11Speaker 1: other day on the heel, revealing that back in January
- 42:16Speaker 1: he was diagnosed with Parkinson disease. Now this would be
- 42:20Speaker 1: the Parkinson that the Great Muhammad Ali for you to
- 42:25Speaker 1: know someone Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with twenty years ago.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Katherine Hepburn wasn't Captain Hepburn, I think so, yeah, So
- 42:37Speaker 1: just some there are some great names that have lived
- 42:40Speaker 1: a long time. Mama A. Lee lived to be about
- 42:43Speaker 1: what seventy six. I think it might be like eighty one.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Did he get older than that. He's somewhere up in
- 42:51Speaker 1: there the long life and spent the last quarter of
- 42:55Speaker 1: it dealing with Parkinson's disease. Saw Michael J. Fox try
- 43:02Speaker 1: to fight it. He would come back to a couple
- 43:05Speaker 1: of roles and now Brett Farv who for a while now,
- 43:11Speaker 1: when I would see him, I thought maybe it was
- 43:15Speaker 1: more on the lane of demnsia. But he always seem
- 43:20Speaker 1: because if you even see any picture of him, he's
- 43:24Speaker 1: fifty four, but he looks sixty five. He's always looked
- 43:29Speaker 1: like he's kind of trying to remember where he's at
- 43:33Speaker 1: in the conversation right or wrong. We're talking about the
- 43:37Speaker 1: part of disease, not the part of his politics or
- 43:41Speaker 1: things like that. Because also former quarterback Tommy Kramer, some
- 43:45Speaker 1: of you might have remembered him from the Lions and
- 43:49Speaker 1: the Vikings. He moved around the three or four teams
- 43:52Speaker 1: in his career. He's sixty nine, fourteen years in the NFL.
- 43:56Speaker 1: He has announced that he has the minsia what could
- 44:00Speaker 1: be in his case a function of more that he's seventy,
- 44:06Speaker 1: then that's not uncommon to get seventy and dementia sets on.
- 44:12Speaker 1: This is a disease that my dad father got, came
- 44:18Speaker 1: into his life when he was about fifty five so,
- 44:21Speaker 1: and it was full blown Alzheimer's by sixty. But in
- 44:26Speaker 1: Brett Farb's case, with him battling with some legal issues
- 44:32Speaker 1: as far as reappropriating money, I think Brett said he
- 44:37Speaker 1: was working with a medical company that was close to
- 44:42Speaker 1: devising some kind of peel to help with Parkinson and
- 44:50Speaker 1: with modern medicine and this disease, they have been able
- 44:53Speaker 1: to control it better. From the article I read about it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: But Brett farv guys, I mean big Golden Eagle, still
- 45:04Speaker 1: Golden Eagles, Yeah, the golden part. No, no, no, it's
- 45:10Speaker 1: still politically correct to be golden now. Now we can't
- 45:14Speaker 1: be golden brown. We can't be the golden brown Eagles.
- 45:18Speaker 1: We just got to be the golden Eagles. It's a
- 45:22Speaker 1: universal color. Uh.
- 45:25Speaker 7: I think one of the things I thought was unfortunate
- 45:27Speaker 7: it is in his revealing his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease
- 45:32Speaker 7: at the congressional hearing yesterday.
- 45:34Speaker 1: The congressional hearing was concerning the funds for that was
- 45:43Speaker 1: tanniff or funds that that kind of thing where he
- 45:47Speaker 1: was embroiled in some scandal that he was later found
- 45:51Speaker 1: to not have any wrongdoing it, and people's humanity wouldn't
- 45:57Speaker 1: let them their lack of humanity rather, wouldn't let them
- 46:00Speaker 1: get past that part in an effort to just say, wow, I.
- 46:03Speaker 7: Didn't know that that's what's going on, because it reminds
- 46:07Speaker 7: me a great deal of the Chadwick Boseman situation when
- 46:10Speaker 7: people saw him and a lot of people clowned him
- 46:12Speaker 7: and made fun of him, and you know, what's going
- 46:14Speaker 7: on with you? And then he passed away and they
- 46:16Speaker 7: were like oops, kind of And Brett has looked a
- 46:22Speaker 7: step slower for a moment now and now we understand why.
- 46:27Speaker 7: And again, unless you've had to had to purse a
- 46:35Speaker 7: first person point of view for things like dementia and Parkinson's,
- 46:41Speaker 7: you really don't understand the challenges. So I hope he
- 46:45Speaker 7: does as well as you can possibly do. It's degenerative,
- 46:48Speaker 7: so there is no really curing it. There's managing, there's managing.
- 46:56Speaker 1: The disease of Brett Farv. But yeah, they're not going
- 47:01Speaker 1: to let him live. He's one of the characters of
- 47:07Speaker 1: sports that a lot of people want to see in
- 47:12Speaker 1: this position. His brash way of playing ball and speaking
- 47:18Speaker 1: and living the life that he lived kind of, you know,
- 47:24Speaker 1: push you in that mind of someone like Lawrence Taylor
- 47:27Speaker 1: unapologetically did their things, so that ruffles feathers and that
- 47:32Speaker 1: allows people to wait on your downfall.
- 47:37Speaker 9: But that's what made him great, though, is that that
- 47:40Speaker 9: attitude and made him who he was, and the ones
- 47:43Speaker 9: who enjoyed him between those lines, we appreciate that, and
- 47:47Speaker 9: I think there's there's a certain part of the warrior spirit,
- 47:54Speaker 9: the one that people identify with appreciating how he lived
- 47:59Speaker 9: the way he wanted to live, that won't allow themselves
- 48:04Speaker 9: to feel any pity in this moment.
- 48:08Speaker 7: The warrior has been afflicted with things that happen to warriors.
- 48:15Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 48:16Speaker 7: He went out fighting, He'll go out kicking and screaming.
- 48:20Speaker 7: No tears for Brett kind of thing. He lived, the
- 48:23Speaker 7: kind of life up to this point and still living
- 48:25Speaker 7: his life like. It's amazing to me that sometimes when
- 48:28Speaker 7: we talk about these things, we miss the fact that
- 48:30Speaker 7: we may be on the verge of a breakthrough medically.
- 48:34Speaker 7: You know, we've seen some stuff get cured. We've seen
- 48:36Speaker 7: some things become completely manageable. I remember when Magic announced
- 48:40Speaker 7: he had HIV. We thought he was dead. In a
- 48:42Speaker 7: few months, He's still with us, the great Brett fav
- 48:45Speaker 7: Parkinson disease. Hope you find peace as you fight this,
- 48:50Speaker 7: Brett Favre as a man, I'm not talking about might
- 48:54Speaker 7: as a farmer, alumni of the NFL with you that
- 48:58Speaker 7: you kind of way too lengthen your life in a
- 49:01Speaker 7: peaceful way that we've seen a couple other people that
- 49:05Speaker 7: gave us entertainment.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Be able to do. We'll be back with more of
- 49:09Speaker 1: the Sports Job Show right after this up.
- 49:14Speaker 21: Survivor, I can't sleep. Were living in the hell. Give

- 49:41Speaker 19: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 49:44Speaker 19: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us

- 53:18Speaker 1: cars like I get me anew about it. This one
- 53:21Speaker 1: ain't got the laye assists. You know what I'm saying.
- 53:24Speaker 1: This one ain't got lane assists and don't have the
- 53:26Speaker 1: backup cameras. I'm gonna get me a new Pittsburgh Pirates,
- 53:30Speaker 1: letting the world remember that sports is still a business
- 53:34Speaker 1: with four plate appearances short of two hundred thousand dollars. Uh,
- 53:40Speaker 1: they demoted first basement rowdy Tela's to les Okay, you
- 53:49Speaker 1: want them people and looked at thousand rowdy Telez. It
- 54:00Speaker 1: was for plate appearances. So basically that's all really one
- 54:04Speaker 1: game and almost yeah, right, you can get yeah, there's
- 54:09Speaker 1: people to go to for four in the game. One
- 54:11Speaker 1: for you know, you can get four plate appearances based
- 54:13Speaker 1: on how the game goes. But just keeping it real,
- 54:17Speaker 1: that's how they did that to keep that two hundred
- 54:19Speaker 1: thound Trust me. It was a secretary or whatever they
- 54:23Speaker 1: call them, assistant what they call them now, the administrator
- 54:28Speaker 1: assistant that texts one of the gms, Hey, you know
- 54:33Speaker 1: we could save two hundred thousand. Probably here he gets
- 54:36Speaker 1: ten percent of that Christmas bonus. I'm just tall. It's
- 54:46Speaker 1: tare less, tear reds, prayer, reds everybody.
- 54:50Speaker 7: There's a whole bunch of folks we can get rid of.
- 54:52Speaker 7: And for everybody saying that that's wrong, they should have
- 54:54Speaker 7: never done that. Think about that free trial you sign
- 54:57Speaker 7: up for and right before.
- 54:59Speaker 1: You have to pay nineteen ninety five you canceled that,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and then three days later you sign up for it again.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Today's free prime video watching that today. You can do
- 55:10Speaker 1: that on the ninth day, about the fourth hour in
- 55:15Speaker 1: the day. Hey, man, I don't think this is gonna
- 55:17Speaker 1: be for me. You know, I've tried it. It's just
- 55:20Speaker 1: not working the way I wanted it to. Yeah, So
- 55:24Speaker 1: when I saw the story like you saw the story,
- 55:26Speaker 1: I remember maybe maybe twenty years ago, Arizona Cardinals did
- 55:34Speaker 1: this with one of the quarterbacks, and then Tampa in
- 55:37Speaker 1: the last twenty years. The Bucks don't get me in
- 55:40Speaker 1: the name, they did it as well. So they didn't
- 55:42Speaker 1: start the quarterback. He was one hundred and fifty yards
- 55:47Speaker 1: away or something like that. You know, which in a game,
- 55:51Speaker 1: a quarterback in the prose most likely will throw for
- 55:53Speaker 1: one fifty. That's a bad day, unless it was like
- 55:57Speaker 1: four touchdowns or something. But and I mean justin fields
- 56:02Speaker 1: those for one fifty game and they don't even throw
- 56:06Speaker 1: but quick screams. But they benched or cut or didn't
- 56:11Speaker 1: start the person that was supposed to get the money.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think the Cardinals might have been Boomer sciasing right
- 56:17Speaker 1: there to tell the end of his year. Somebody it
- 56:19Speaker 1: was someone like that, and everybody was all out raised,
- 56:23Speaker 1: like man, that's where it's the loyalty and where they
- 56:26Speaker 1: save a half a meal. You see it, It happens,
- 56:29Speaker 1: it's just nobody talks about it. But in this case,
- 56:33Speaker 1: two hundred grand four play, which is a game, That's
- 56:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Do you think it's easier to do that?
- 56:39Speaker 1: You give me one game? Well, I'm saying, you're paying
- 56:47Speaker 1: the center fielder ninety two million dollars this year, you can't.
- 56:51Speaker 1: We we we kind of short, so we got to
- 56:53Speaker 1: cut corners.
- 56:54Speaker 7: And now do you think it's easier to do because
- 56:56Speaker 7: the guy who actually signs the check doesn't have to
- 57:00Speaker 7: look you in the face and go, hey, man, listen,
- 57:04Speaker 7: do you think that if it was more like this,
- 57:06Speaker 7: like if you just had to walk in the room
- 57:08Speaker 7: and look greg at two hundred thousand dollars bonus you
- 57:11Speaker 7: were gonna get at the end of this show.
- 57:14Speaker 13: Not gonna happen.
- 57:16Speaker 1: We're gonna We're gonna bring in somebody else to run
- 57:19Speaker 1: the boards for this show. And that's what I'm saying now,
- 57:24Speaker 1: everybody's on some it.
- 57:26Speaker 7: Should be, but I think part of the bureaucracy being
- 57:29Speaker 7: in place makes it easier to tell a dude, man,
- 57:33Speaker 7: we just we don't value you enough to let you
- 57:36Speaker 7: play one more game for us and give you this money.
- 57:39Speaker 7: It means more to me to keep my money than
- 57:41Speaker 7: it does to do what you feel like is right
- 57:44Speaker 7: by you. So and he has to keep you have
- 57:48Speaker 7: to stay professional too.
- 57:49Speaker 9: I mean, you know, in the deepest of his heart,
- 57:51Speaker 9: in his mind, he's like, man, I know they're doing
- 57:53Speaker 9: this on purpose, but he has to go and stay
- 57:57Speaker 9: in that mindset because next year or coming up next spring,
- 58:01Speaker 9: I want to be in that position.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I mean, because I'm sure, I'm sure you if you
- 58:06Speaker 1: think one more game and I got a two hundred
- 58:07Speaker 1: grand bonus, you kind of spent that money off. As
- 58:10Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I want to say that two
- 58:12Speaker 1: years ago, when the Antonio Brown thing happened, it was
- 58:15Speaker 1: based on something like this. In his contrad though, because
- 58:21Speaker 1: Tom was throwing him the ball and they had two
- 58:24Speaker 1: more games, and they had two more games, right, and
- 58:26Speaker 1: he wasn't gonna get like and he needed like a
- 58:29Speaker 1: handful of catches. And I know in that game itself
- 58:31Speaker 1: before they pulled him out. Tom It threw him the ball,
- 58:34Speaker 1: was trying to get him.
- 58:36Speaker 24: He was like.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Tom. Even Tom was like, I want to hear his mouth.
- 58:42Speaker 1: You know what to give you the money just quiet.
- 58:45Speaker 1: That offensive coordinator that Baron Leftwood probably was like, man,
- 58:48Speaker 1: I didn't call that. What you're doing. Man, I'm trying
- 58:50Speaker 1: to get this dude out of my ear. Every time
- 58:52Speaker 1: I come back to the huddle, he keeps tapping me
- 58:54Speaker 1: on the hill. Y'all do me a favorite passion this
- 58:57Speaker 1: three hundred and then because that was part I think
- 59:01Speaker 1: people missed because we had any more games and it
- 59:05Speaker 1: was only like five six catches. It wasn't like this
- 59:07Speaker 1: whole way he needed twenty ball was that way. He
- 59:10Speaker 1: took his shirt off, and yeah, when he ran off
- 59:11Speaker 1: the that didn't help. That didn't help. That's just maybe
- 59:17Speaker 1: you got to stay within, you got to Maybe that
- 59:20Speaker 1: was negotiating. I'm gonna be back next year.
- 59:23Speaker 9: I know they played me right now at this moment,
- 59:25Speaker 9: but I want to get back to make make up
- 59:27Speaker 9: for that. And and that's why I say I'm hoping
- 59:30Speaker 9: that to Lez will just go to down to these
- 59:33Speaker 9: games and come back and come back strong.
- 59:35Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this.

- 1:02:09Speaker 1: this out.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Shoot broadcasting live and it led her to a ChIL
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: This this is the sports huck Ship with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: You big Vegan me up? Can you win me again?
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: You flank me down? That comes to comes to cook,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: get it comes to Mark.
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: Is it just.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it begin, I'm gonna go on the
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: way you Vegan. Welcome back to the sport Shock Show.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I'm the Sportshock Wing Gandy. Good morning to you. As
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: were on Thursday, Thursday Night football, the Cowboys versus the Giants,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: which always makes for a dramatic game, those two teams
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: in the same division. We got Daniel Jones, we got
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Dak Prescott to guy Dallas is kind of in desperate
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: mode early on once again to show that they are
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: a for real team. A lot of money is being
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: handed out in the off season, a lot of money
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: expected to be handed out this off season, and dividends
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: need to be paid. I think some of the pressure
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: also comes, as I told Comanchi the other day, with
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the owner owners. Like a Jerry Jones, he can rest
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: in peace. If you could take him to the super
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Bowl one more time, that that trillion dollar casket. He'll
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: be ready for it. Then right now, he won't even
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: talk about wheels and none of that.
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: Dad Legal call today and they were saying that we
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: were supposed to meet later and go over some some
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: power of attorney things and some transfer of You think
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: we could have that meeting today?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Stephen, if you don't get out my office right now. Yeah,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I'm going to Stormy Daniels is about to come over.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna be right next I told you Stormy was
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: coming over. I'm next door here, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: won't be available. How about them Cowboys? How about and
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: because Jerry has been an all in full end, as
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I've said to me, a little particular of what's hurt
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the Cowboys is that Jerry has been so dominant of
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the owner basically structuring the team. He is the GM,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he is the owner. His son is like the head
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: player personnel guy, which looks good on but to me,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: you need a more objective voice in there. You know,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the GM and the coach are supposed to have some tension,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: just as much as they're supposed to be kumbaya. They
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: supposed to have a little friction between them, the GM,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: the coach, and the owner. They're supposed to be harmony
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: in their forhilosophy. But they're supposed to be a little
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: you know, you're not just supposed to be able to
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: push your button and tell the coach to put in
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: this guy. Now, that's not how it really supposed to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: work for me.
- 1:05:12Speaker 24: I know.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: That's what you keep trying to do something that I
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: think that you see. I said, I want chicken parmesan.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I do not know why you keep bringing me pot rolls. Well,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: this is the thing.
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: I think it's I think it's interesting that we talk
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: about uh and I know they're completely different responsibilities. But
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: when we're talking about coaching, when we're talking about talent,
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: we always talk about people losing a step. They've gotten older,
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: they don't have that ability to keep up that speed,
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: that strength. They're still thinking in a time gone past.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: We rarely see that with ownership, where hey man, it
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: was working back then, but what you're doing now, it's
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: a different time.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: It's so maybe we are to get it.
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: And that's the thing about like a Jerry Jones, he's
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: still he's had success, and it's been decades since he's
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: had success, but he still keep pulling.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: That one armed band, waiting for it to hit again. Yeah,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: he's still in the war because but that time warp.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: I think because a lot of times, you know, just recently,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: there's some.
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: Things out there video Jerry and having discussions with Jamie
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: Fox and others. I mean, was at a visitation, So
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: you start to wonder, Jie, is Jerry where you at?
- 1:06:28Speaker 24: Man?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I mean, as far as like you said, they've just
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: never really thought of it. Well, first of all, for
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: all those people out there, since you don't have any
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: humor and you wasn't privy to interaction with Jamie Fox
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and Jerry Jones, stop living your life on the edge
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: of video and not know what it was. The tone
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: of the meeting and the comedian like Big Kenny, our
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: rapport with each other could be comedic, right, That's how
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: we interact through comedic banter. So all those people, I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: saw a little thing and I'm not gonna touch on
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: it about somebody's personal size and stuff. That is just
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: this willhouse of toxic sports reporting that everybody keeps trying
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: to catch somebody. It sickens me how sports is going
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: into this almost Aha. We got we got certain people
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: we want to catch, and then we got certain people
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: we allowed to sit and make videos. On in sexual
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: videos and then act like it's funny. Hold on, skip,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: hold on, Skip, I think you talking about me. Skip.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: And then Jerry Jones, because he fits in that Brett
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Favre caglory where people pray for his downfall, said something
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: with his buddy that's recorded those kind of things, and
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: if you really want to know if he actually said it,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: he was telling Jamie how much of a bad football
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: player this guy is. And then everybody want to, Oh,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Jerry's in there doing this, and Jerry, and this is
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: all for you that don't know Jerry and Jamie Foxx
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: was on video and Jerry was describing a guy that
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: was watching practice. He was telling him how big he
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: was and how fast he was, and he said sounded
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: like a reference to his penis size. And then the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: world goes on fire. But I still don't get it
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: when our whole entertainment is shaped that pop, that drink,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: that smoked, that gambled, that debauchery. And then soon as
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: somebody don't that you don't like, says it, then all
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: of a sudden, your sensibilities kick in. Oh and believe,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: they believe, But you're just sitting there watching four episodes
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: of pe Valley. No, but but Pete Valley, Pee Valley,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: come on at nine o'clock. This junk come on at
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: eight forty five. I can't believe it. I'm talking about
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: kids kill be up there eight forty five. So but
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the Dallars cowfuly of the Giants tonight Thursday night football.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: As I have always warned you, especially you gamblers out
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: there that like to say you're not but you are,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: and you're you're just as wrong as the rest of
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: everybody else that like to gamble. How that goes along
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: with Sunday morning praise. I still don't get it. But
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: as I tell you, it is Thursday night, I don't
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: know what you're gonna get. You know, you just don't
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: know what a Thursday night game prepares. You know, sometimes
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: most of the time one of the teams look like
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: they are sleep on the field online. That's funny, Charlie,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: want to know if Jared Jones gonna suit up tonight,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: command your Greg. He addressed it to you. She tried
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: to suit up.
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: He's tried to suit up every week since nineteen eighty nine.
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: There's been someone to stop him.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Sixty four year old woman dies in the New suicide capsule.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Over in Switzerland, they have a new suicide capsule that
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you can pay to put yourself in. It's called Sarco capsule.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: You can get you an appointment for this suicide capsule
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: and commit suicide. And a sixty four year old woman
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: booked an appointment and died and yes she did so
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the process. So this is over product work. But they
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: are now I guess her family or suing. They did
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: arrest a couple of people, That's why I'm bringing it
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to you. How how is the company? They arrested a
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: couple of people at the company, but use the sports
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: jock teeth whitening toothpaste. Get some seven shades whiter. Wow,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: my teeth are seven shades whiter. But she just put
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: them in prison. She signed waivers, right, I'm saying in
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: this command she was in she was in Switzerland. So
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: you want a hamburger everything, everything there this beef not
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: sending them to prison. They do have a new suicide
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: capsule for you out there, which is part of this
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: crazy world. I don't get it. We got a suicide capsule,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: but y'all worried about what Jerry Jones and Jamie Fox
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: home U wait now, I'm still tripping on the fact
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: that you're mad that the capsule worked.
- 1:11:38Speaker 29: I just.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Would have come down. I fuck. I didn't come down
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: here for a suicide and end up with a new haircut.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Did I want to? I came down to kill myself
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: and I'm dead. Thanks, sarcommercial Marshall, before you shoot the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: commercial before you won't come get a haircut with Sorry
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you come to die, don't haircut. No, that's what I'm saying. Death.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: So why it looks space age though it looks like
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: it's like a comfortable almost looks like those water tanks
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: that you sleep in the hyperb Derrick Chambers and somewhere
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: to do. The Hangman is like, oh, it's still the
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: same thing. Before we go to break. Did our Derek
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Rose do enough to get in the Nate Smith Hall
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: of Fame in your opinion, bad producer, No, big Kenny.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Did he do enough in his career? Yes? On the court, yes,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: come at you, I'd say yes, yes, yes, Okay now
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: now temperamentally now nobody wants It's always a tough question.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: He didn't win the m v P. There was a
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: window about two years there where he was been to
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: college also because the only college one year he had
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: one one year, so they had the chance to win
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: it all and they didn't. Then you know, you just
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I don't know. I just no, there's no right or wrong.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I'm just we know that five year window before he
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: got hurt, he was on Hall of Fame path. You
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: come saying did it impact? It wasn't that enough? After
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: that and he hurt his knee, it was a different guy.
- 1:13:39Speaker 6: There are some precedents with with some other players that
- 1:13:42Speaker 6: may allow him to get in. Did you know that
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: the sarcle chamber comes in different colors. There's orange, there's
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: neon blue. I'm serious.
- 1:13:59Speaker 16: I'm like little seaports and dogs.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Maybe I'll just do it from the hard Homi.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: They just run, don't bow away, or of the Sports

- 1:21:08Speaker 1: gonna close this hospital. I got chained ooh, look at
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: my Chinese saying, but I'm closed the hospital down to
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: set now, I'm dripping for the game tonight. I'm not
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I'm not threatening to close the hospital down. Looking at
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the clock, look at my wealth. Exeven o'clock, I'm gonna
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: start turning people around in the parking lot. Y'all got
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: to see the yellow diamonds into three two? Holdo ono
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: does that have a cardiologist wing? I don't see your
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: your your mental health facilities over there, mister blank is
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: eighty two and the great one Mount Rushmore of the century,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: the great Serena. Nope, no work, sir, No, no work, sir.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: She told me specifically that no work, not in clock in.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I get the day off on Serreena. Yeah, she's no
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: clocking in. I'm on strike. I'm crossing the picket line.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I'm want them people now, forty three years old. I
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: think he's locked in the office. You gotta come out
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: of there, Kenny, leave me alone with my work. It's
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: forty three years of age, is Serena Williams. There is
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: gonna be a bio pic of Luther Vandros. They say, Now,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I don't know which Luther, Luther Big, Luther Big, maybe
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: they're making two parts ship and big Luther. Now this
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: is the thing, this is the thing work. He said,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: from my memory, y'all, my memory. The Luther's used to
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the transition from one to the other across the years.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Like he started little Luther, then he got to the
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: bigger Luther. Was based on weather right, and he got
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: the fluffy Luther. Then right then he got back down
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: to fall Luther. And then he went to some of
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Loo and then he got back to like right there,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the equalox, you know what I'm saying, like fall equinox Luthor.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: So maybe they could just tell the story and and
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: he looked like he's changing looks throughout the story. Who's
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: gonna play Luther? That is a great Michael B. Jordans.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I can't everyone, can't be everybody.
- 1:23:31Speaker 9: Maybe the dude from Snowfall, Michael, I'm saying that young
- 1:23:35Speaker 9: man from Snowfall, the English.
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: Dude that.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: Can he can put that is gonna have to be
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: a young Luther.
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: They got the body, got to be both. Yes, they
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: got the body. And listen, he gonna have to sing.
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: I ain't never heard damnson Indrist sing. And he's not
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: gonna have to be able to sing, just sing. He's
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: gonna have to be able to sing like Luther Man.
- 1:24:01Speaker 7: Once he put that s gurl in, he'll be able
- 1:24:03Speaker 7: to neo neo neo the singing part, I can see it,
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: but not Cherylynne song. Sir, Yes, yes, okay, So we're
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: going to go with Cheryl lynn Yeah, be real, Okay,
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: to be real. We get Neo to play.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Luther though I could.
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: I could see that. I could see that he's got
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: the complexion, he's got the chance. As we go to break,
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: this goes out to one of our favorite moms. I'm
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: sorry you had to put up with all this for
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: fifty five years, and that shows what kind of angel
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: that you are. Miss Glady's Miss Gladys Twitty seventy five
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: years old. This was thirty and I'm surprised you still
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: hear hims Gladys putting.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Up with this thing. He didn't even know the name
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: of the song. He didn't even know your favorite song.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: He know the name. He tried to say it his right.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: So when he asked you to cook next time, asking
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: that right right, telling you to cook meat, this don't

- 1:27:55Speaker 17: Yes, just get down, call him my people all across
- 1:28:04Speaker 17: the world. This song goes out to all the boys
- 1:28:10Speaker 17: you want them fus, Come and tell your body you
- 1:28:13Speaker 17: gotta take it to the.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Yes right, this what shock showering? This what shock wing Candy,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: We hear you Uncle Charlie out there. Uh he wants
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: Rue Paul team played Luther Vandro But Rue Paul is
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: too old to at this point. But y'all see why
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: I act like Paul has got to be sixty two, right,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: gotta be gotta maybe older? Yeah, Rue, Paul is a
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: little too old. And then Antoine Lily says he wants
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: to go with Ruben Stuttard as Big Luther as Big
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: lou third. But Ruben gotta be fifty now though, doesn't he?
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: But he's sorry for two thousand and four. Uh but
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: a bidio pic and coment, she said, there's documentary. We
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: might be confusing both of them, or it could be
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: too you know. The bio pick will be on Netflix,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: and the documentary of be on Hulu, and the one
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: that makes to be called Big Luthor, the one on
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Big and Little Luther. Last night, the Indiana Fever got
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: eliminated taking on the Connecticut Sun. You gotta love the
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: WNBA format for the playoffs. As I said on Monday,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: their first two rounds are very quick and if you
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: are the visiting team, you might not get home to
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: have a playoff game. And that happened in all four series.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: No one got home except no, no, no, no, excuse me,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: the Aces got home, didn't or were they at home?
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: They were at home, they were so nobody got home.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: All the home teams won all the teams that were up,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: So now the Aces will play the Liberty and the
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Connecticut song will play the Minnesota Lynx. But last night,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: Caitlyn Clark scoring twenty five points, nine assists, seven rebounds
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: to finish off her rookie season. I suspect that, just
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: like Primetime Deon Sanders and Colorado last year, twenty twenty
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: three was the story of the year. The story of
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: the year was Caitlin Clark. You should see her Time
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: magazine Person of the Year. I don't see any competition
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: that I know of from the sports world that would
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: challenge that. From Iowa, we forget all that happened this year.
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: The NCAA tournament, the scoring fifty points, all that was
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: earlier this year and it just transitioned into in a
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: short period, you know, thinking that we and from January
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: to nine months, all of that was smushed in there.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: But the young lady exceeded expectations in my opinion, to
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: be a rookie, to be fourth in the MVP voting,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: most likely going to be First Team w NBA as well.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: A lot of controversy has followed her based on what
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: people and as I asked the bad producer about her
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: fan base, as they put it, Caitlyn Clark's fan base.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: I remember most of this year Caitlyn Clark. Outside of
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: the interviews that she has been required, you haven't really
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: heard anything. She hasn't been on a Diane Sawyer or
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Barbara Walters or Oprah or anything. Have y'all seen her
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: in any I've never heard one on ones. Yeah, none
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: of that has all been something related with basketball. She
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: says she's going to take a break here, She's not
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: going to play any kind of tournaments and things like that,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: not going overseas, No. Three on three. But last night
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: Alyssa Thompson, the Greaterlyssa Thompson, who are very dominant in
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: her style. It's a Dennis Rodman, Draymond Green type dominance.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Whereas all the little particulars, it's not going to be
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: the thirty five points, but it's the twelve assists, it's
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: the nine rebounds when she needed to place tough defense,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: that signature basket right there when you need it, she
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: gets it. Yes, the don't do a lot of scoring,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: but she says that Wnba and we talked about this
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: maybe a month ago, needs to step up and do
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: something about the racism and derogatory terms that she feels
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: comes from the Caitlyn Clark fan base. And just like
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: we said, I said then, and I'll ask you guys
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: real quickly, now, what is the WNBA supposed to because
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: this is the fleet that goes with the dog. You
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: wanted a bigger, brighter audience. Remember when you was asking
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: for that Comanche. You was asking for bigger fans. She
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: was asking for better flight. You wanted everything that that
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: this is what goes on in the NBA, So you
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: asked for the fans. You have been surviving on a
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: fan base of people who loved w NBA. You wanted growth. Well,
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: that growth comes from the non w NBA, and that's
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: what you're dealing with. That's why you've never had this
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: because you was dealing with people who respected the game
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: and who was really about the w NBA. You asked
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: for I's the growth comes from I's right, right, that
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: are not loyal. It came from the gamblers. It came
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: from the people who just want to be part of
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: the cooler conversation that got something to say. Now, that's
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: how your growth happened. And those people are taking sides.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: So you didn't know how good you had it when
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: you just had your good old home base. Right now
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: you went out into the world. Now you're mad they texting.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: And I'm not saying they're right. I'm trying to tell
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: you how they ended up on your timeline, right, That's
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: all I'm saying. They're wrong for any at any time.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: And that's why I said with the WNA, come on,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: she asked this before bad producer. First of all, I
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: wanted to ask you, why are they so sure the
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: negative comments? Are these people saying, hey, I'm Caitlyn Cart
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: fan base member, No, you are a kool aid like
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: Are they saying like kool aid?
- 1:34:41Speaker 10: Right?
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Well, they didn't directly say Caitland Cart.
- 1:34:44Speaker 9: They said the Indiana fever of fan base, and I
- 1:34:48Speaker 9: guess because they were playing them at this time. And
- 1:34:50Speaker 9: coach White, who actually played in Indiana and cup player, said,
- 1:34:53Speaker 9: We've seen a lot of racists and sexism and homophobia,
- 1:34:56Speaker 9: transphobia throughout the course of our country, but sports just
- 1:34:59Speaker 9: know it's eception that's unacceptable to be quite honest.
- 1:35:03Speaker 10: Uh.
- 1:35:03Speaker 9: And then you did see last night that Katelyn Clark
- 1:35:06Speaker 9: had a problem with a fan they had to remove
- 1:35:08Speaker 9: them because apparently they were coming to her very derogatory.
- 1:35:13Speaker 9: So you're getting it on both ends. This is just
- 1:35:15Speaker 9: to the point that it's like you said, the eyes
- 1:35:18Speaker 9: out here are out here. Now, this is what you
- 1:35:21Speaker 9: gotta expect, should expect.
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: But I don't hear Caitlyn Clark saying nothing. And I'm
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: quite sure the fan basis of everybody else, just like
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: the guy in the game, comes at her and this
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: is the thing, this is the thing.
- 1:35:36Speaker 7: I'm glad he said that because now we talked about
- 1:35:40Speaker 7: Travis Kelsey in his distraction of Taylor Swift. When people
- 1:35:44Speaker 7: said something negative about Taylor Swift, her fan base rallied
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: around her in very negative, very aggressive ways to squash
- 1:35:53Speaker 7: those people, and it's acceptable.
- 1:35:56Speaker 23: Now.
- 1:35:56Speaker 7: The difference here is that you would like to believe
- 1:36:01Speaker 7: that with all of the people saying that Caitlyn Clark
- 1:36:04Speaker 7: is being unfairly promoted and just because she's white, she
- 1:36:08Speaker 7: you'd like to believe it's some white people out there
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: that don't want to get her back just because she white.
- 1:36:14Speaker 7: You think it's okay for all of the WNBA players
- 1:36:17Speaker 7: and all of the people who have supported the WNBA
- 1:36:20Speaker 7: to go, oh man, they shouldn't be promoting that white
- 1:36:23Speaker 7: girl like there's a group of white people and that
- 1:36:25Speaker 7: ain't gonna go.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Hey, where don't you come over here? Great kool aid.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: A lot of this stuff is a cost and effect.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: There's all kinds of media's coverage. Nobody has.
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: Nobody has had a press conference about what we gonna
- 1:36:44Speaker 7: do to protect Caitlyn Clark. Everybody's coming out saying how
- 1:36:48Speaker 7: Caitlyn Clark is ruined in the game and being unfairly
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: promoted and just because she's white, y'all trying to make
- 1:36:54Speaker 7: her the savior and that comes with a lot of
- 1:36:57Speaker 7: scrutiny and a lot of negative attention. Nobody he's had
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: a press conference talking about protecting her. Nobody's had a
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: press conference talking about increasing the security presence at the
- 1:37:08Speaker 7: Indiana Fever getting because.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: It becomes what has Caitlyn Clark done, comanchee, What has
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Caitlin Clark done.
- 1:37:16Speaker 11: To be.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Besides shot your lights out? To be honest as far
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: as how she gets perceived be white. That's understand the
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: nutshell right there?
- 1:37:34Speaker 9: That was it.
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: So when you look at this and last night, the
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: gentleman that got ejected was white. He was a Connecticut
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: Sun fan. So I just know when Alissa Thompson sit
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: there and they say the Indiana fan base, we kind
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: of the Indiana fan base has been forged through Caitlyn Clark.
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: Her own teammates have thanked her for what they she
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: has brought to them. They was playing in front of
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: two thousand people. Now they had to move them to
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: the Pacers Arena. Right, every game was a sellout since
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: she's been there, which has only been this season forty games.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: Alyssa Thompson, other people step to the mic and talk
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: about them, but this young lady, I ain't know for
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: sure it is receiving a bunch of hate mail. I
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: haven't seen her step to a podium and try to
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: shut nobody down for anything time. But she does give
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: you this twenty five points and take that with you,
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: and it's just very interesting. Her season has come to end.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: The WNBA fourteen one two three four teams are left.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: The finals I think start October to tenth, so it
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: should be exciting. We'll see whether ratings stays without her
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: in it. See how the ratings going on. Everybody anybody
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: interested it. It's like five and Michael Jordan not the
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: game it never happened because people literally we'll be like,
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: hey man, Mike, no, Mike, can't they filed Mike out.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: I came, they ejected him. That happened like once, hey
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: he foiled me. Looking at you like, but what did
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: you do? You say something to him? Why would he
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: just foul you? And so Caitlyn Clark once again, as
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: I said, the person of the Year. I heard some
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: people say they're trying to get her to call maybe
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: come in and sit in some of the games. I
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: wouldn't recommend that either. She young lady, deserves a break.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: And we are talking about as we go to break
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: a twenty two year old man. We ain't even talking
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: about No, we're just talking out little twenty two the
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: old person non stop for like the last two years.
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: Really for a twenty two year old. We'll be back
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: more to Sports Jock Show after this. Ain't nobody came
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: And that's why we wait. My grandma opened put them
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: in the fridge.
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: Fail.
- 1:40:02Speaker 21: It's such the biggest soda, rightato.
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: Don't bowl Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Hill with
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: Wayne gam videos combing out next.
- 1:40:12Speaker 33: You say you'd never give into a meltdown, never let
- 1:40:16Speaker 33: kids toys take over the house, and never fill your
- 1:40:21Speaker 33: feet with kid photos. You'd never plan your life around
- 1:40:27Speaker 33: their schedule, never look your thumb to clean their face,
- 1:40:33Speaker 33: and you'd never let them leave the house looking like
- 1:40:36Speaker 33: less than their best. You say you'd never put a
- 1:40:40Speaker 33: pacifier in your mouth to clean it, never let them
- 1:40:44Speaker 33: stay up too late, and never let them run wild
- 1:40:48Speaker 33: through the grocery store. And so when you say you'd
- 1:40:54Speaker 33: never let them get into a car without you, there,
- 1:40:57Speaker 33: no it can happen. One in four hot card death
- 1:41:00Speaker 33: happen when a kid gets into an unlocked car and
- 1:41:02Speaker 33: can't get out. Never happens before you leave the car.

- 1:42:13Speaker 1: And you get it. Yes, good job. So what should

- 1:42:17Speaker 34: Don't just toss them out?
- 1:42:18Speaker 15: Put them in a metal container because those embers can
- 1:42:20Speaker 15: start a wildfire.

- 1:42:33Speaker 35: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy. Long answer.
- 1:42:58Speaker 35: You can see the sports chaint. I'll sing even welco
- 1:43:05Speaker 35: back to this What Shot show? On this What Shot
- 1:43:07Speaker 35: wing again.
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: The Dodgers show your Tony who stole his fifty six
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: base last night? He has about fifty four home runs,
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: putting up numbers that will be around for a long time.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: He'll probably have to break it himself where you're talking
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: about home runs. Remember he last week became the first
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: person to be fifty fifty to fifty home runs, fifty
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: stolen bases, and probably be the first to win MVP
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: from the d h spot he went for his ball
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: that went over the fence for the fiftieth home run
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: will be auctioned. Remember right after the game, the Dodgers
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: offered the person three hundred thousand, and that person has
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: quickly gotten that ball to auction and it will start
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: at five hundred thousand dollars for that ball. You can
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: buy it outright for about four and a half million.
- 1:44:00Speaker 9: Out betting if you get it not yeah, eBay got
- 1:44:04Speaker 9: that option. You can buy it now or wants to
- 1:44:07Speaker 9: bed and start now. I don't think this is on eBay,
- 1:44:10Speaker 9: but I'm just saying that for those who never really
- 1:44:13Speaker 9: did eat you under, you can equate eBay auction.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: Versus this big time.
- 1:44:20Speaker 9: No, I'm saying that I've never been a bed in
- 1:44:22Speaker 9: a Price Waterhouse Cooper auction, but neither of those.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: Auction houses are handling this particular Robert Kraft was attending
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: an auction with Tom Brady. One of Tom Brady's Rookies
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: cards came up for auction, and Robert Craft, the owner
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: of the pages, bought it for one hundred and twenty
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I wonder maybe it was a card, maybe
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: he didn't have. Tom didn't have from his rookie year.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: I know there's some. It could have been some rare ones.
- 1:44:55Speaker 6: And there's one like he was drafted by the then
- 1:44:57Speaker 6: Montreal expos There was a card to that. I don't
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: know if it was that card, but well, you.
- 1:45:03Speaker 7: Know they're more, They're worth more when they're autographed. So
- 1:45:07Speaker 7: he was probably like, hey, nobody has that one and
- 1:45:10Speaker 7: I can get it signed right now, can I?
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: Tom? Well, I think it was. I think it was autographed.
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: Oh it only got one hundred and twenty thousand rookie cart. Well,
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: it could have been the audience in which he was there.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: I mean, sometimes you luck up, but you know, and
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: cards go up when you die. So he's still alive.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: Robert In that same auction Roberto Clemente nineteen fifty five
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: cart went for eight hundred and forty thousand chess hurt.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: So that was nineteen fifty five. So Tom is still alive.
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: He just retired. I mean, y'all was just speculating he
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: going to the Dolphins. So he can't. He's still in negotiations.
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: He's still be talking to other people. Though. You still
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: got any of your old baseball cards? Boy, y'all? I do,
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: I know, I do. I'm about to go through some
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: of mine. You got some baseball cards? Yeah, I got
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: a lot. What you want it, I'm saying, Oh, I'm
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: talking about the collection. Oh I thought you was saying
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: referring that you had your own baseball car. I can
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: make my own that you'll bring you one. Though New
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: York Mayor Eric Adams was indicted. Uh, And I just
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: brought this up story up, not because of Eric Adams
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: as much as it is. Why does it seem like
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: the mayors always get caught Because all the politics got something,
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: you can catch most of them in something, But it
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: seemed like the mayor always because the mayor controls the
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: he controls the police department.
- 1:46:43Speaker 9: Most most cities, the mayor is the end all the
- 1:46:47Speaker 9: police department and all the facilities everything in most cities,
- 1:46:51Speaker 9: and a lot of times the corruption is just.
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: It's right there. I mean, it's easy as the mayor,
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: I think, I but I don't remember any of the
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: people that I don't have anything to do with the
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: police force had to do with them giving.
- 1:47:08Speaker 9: Out Well, but I'm saying, you said the American. I'm
- 1:47:13Speaker 9: just saying that that's a lot of his duties.
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: And there are a lot of good mayors out there.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: I don't want to sit here from a place of
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: judgment because we've all been federally indicted? Am I right?
- 1:47:23Speaker 11: Right?
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: But be fair to Adams though he at one time
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: when I think that, Listen, listen, the subject was not Adam.
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: So don't hear the subject and then turn it into
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: what you wanted to be. The subject was mayors being arrested?
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: Was that not what I turned Bill Campbell? Who else? Killpatrick?
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: Who else? Mary by marrying? Correct? Wait, now, I don't
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: I don't want I don't want to say in New
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: Orleans from a place we've all done crack. Am I right? Right?
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: They didn't get I mean, we didn't say they got
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: everybody he's been to tell on somewhere that it got
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: away and not getting reindicted. Yes, And he told me
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure they should have never hired
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: Eric Adams in the first place. He was a gang banger.
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: So I'm quite sure he took the money from the
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: Turkish government, former police officer, he was a gang banger. Well,
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: I don't want to sit here from a place judgment,
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: because we've all been gang bangers? Am I right? Am? I? Right?
- 1:48:44Speaker 10: Uh?
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: And Deshaun Watson for Cleveland, Deshaun Watson says that he
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: is not a running back. He was asked about maybe
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: running the ball more more design runs to Shawn Watson,
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: I just think you answered that question a little, Deshonne.
- 1:49:00Speaker 1: For where you are at right now. Your team is struggling.
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: You're struggling on and off the field. Maybe a political
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: coach somebody to teach you what kind of answer. I
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: get what you're saying. You're not a running quarterback. You
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: don't want to fall into that, but you know, just
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: a little more whatever the team needs, and answer would
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: have suffice. You'll be sitting at the kitchen table looking
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: at the divorce papers like well, I'm just not gonna cook.
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: I don't know what you think is gonna happen, because
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: it makes it seem like by saying it the way
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: you said it, you're not fully all in to take
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: it to make the offense work, right, So you want
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: to leave them even if that's not what you're gonna do,
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: leave them with a little idea that you know, I'm
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: you know, hey, whatever the offense needs me to become
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: on that Sunday, I welcome it and go from there.
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: It's kind of putting your foot down. You ain't in
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: the wheelhouse of power no more. No, I'm sorry. You
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: did have to stick. Don't say stick. That's how all
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: this stuff got started. I thought, I thought of the watchcall, Hey, listen,
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: we'll be back from more to sports Docks right after this.
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: Jn't go away, or of the sports Josh Hill with
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: Wayne Dantidius coming up next.
- 1:50:42Speaker 34: Said you'd never buy your kid candy from the checkout aisle,
- 1:50:46Speaker 34: or forget extra diapers. You never lick your thumb to
- 1:50:49Speaker 34: clean their face, never ever become a minivand mom. So
- 1:50:55Speaker 34: when you say you'd never leave your child in a
- 1:50:57Speaker 34: hot car, no, it can happen. Cars get hot fast.
- 1:51:01Speaker 34: The kids can be at risk in temperatures as low
- 1:51:03Speaker 34: as sixty degrees. Fair night never happens before you leave
- 1:51:07Speaker 34: the car, Always stop Look lock. Brought to you by
- 1:51:11Speaker 34: NITZA and the AD Council.
- 1:51:12Speaker 5: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:51:15Speaker 5: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:51:18Speaker 5: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:51:22Speaker 5: life insurance.
- 1:51:23Speaker 28: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:51:25Speaker 28: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:51:27Speaker 28: forever life insurance.
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:51:33Speaker 28: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:51:34Speaker 28: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:51:36Speaker 28: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:51:38Speaker 28: the insurance informant.
- 1:51:40Speaker 5: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:51:43Speaker 5: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:51:45Speaker 28: Now that I'm molder, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:51:48Speaker 28: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:51:50Speaker 5: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:51:52Speaker 5: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:51:54Speaker 5: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:51:57Speaker 5: foundation of security, because without your family will have two options,
- 1:52:01Speaker 5: benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log
- 1:52:05Speaker 5: on today Benefits or Bills dot Com. That's Benefits or
- 1:52:09Speaker 5: Bills dot com. And now back to the sports job,
- 1:52:16Speaker 5: Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: Now it's time for the school board when we put
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Let's get it.
- 1:52:37Speaker 16: First, I'm go stack my prod. Then I'm go stack
- 1:52:41Speaker 16: some mo close shop, then I do my cow. The
- 1:52:45Speaker 16: rest of the Yams in Mysie.
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: House, welcome back to this one shock show. I'm this
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: hor shock, Wayne Gandy. It happened. You knew what was coming.
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: It's why I have been saying for a while now
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: with this whole pay for play in college, just become
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: professional sports and leave it at that. Stop trying to
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: shuffle the cards to give it some kind of visual
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: that we're still on the same page of college sports
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: from ten years twenty years ago. We are in professional
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: college sports. UNLV quarterback Matthew Sluka. Is that how you
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: say that? Yes, Comanche Sluka has quit the team says
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: that UNLV promised him basically as he said, representation of
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars, which means UNLV promised him to
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: pay him one hundred thousand dollars. They're three and zero
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: and he's decided since they have not given him one
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars yet he was going to and has
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: quit on his team. Why can he do that? Well, first,
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: neither party is not a contract. You're not an employee.
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: I'm basically saying I'll do something. You saying you'll do something.
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: So both of you have the ability just like a team,
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: as I have told you, you could pay somebody to
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: come run your team. They can bention him the coach.
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: You can see that at Florida. I'm quite sure those
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: guys got some money at the University of Florida, but
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: the coach rotates him. So your money don't necessarily mean
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: you gonna play like the pros. But just turn it
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: into we can skip all these little storylines of quitting,
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: make them employees and just hire them. What are you
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: waiting on?
- 1:54:40Speaker 26: Now?
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: If you in at the game, you got to have
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: a doctor's note. What are you waiting on? Why are
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: you worried about going to class and who's eligible based
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: on a GPA when the last time they reported on that.
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: They don't talk about that during the college game like
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: they used to. They used to let you know how
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: many graduates and what percentage of the team graduates and
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: who is the GP. They can skipped by that so quick.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: That's just something they find a sponsor. Nobody cares if
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: you got a three to nine when you got a
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: seven hundred thousand dollars running back, do you care he
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: was down there in Texas with a Ferrari. Some players
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: on the team now just got the same Ferrari deal.
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: So who cares you carrying a two seven? What color
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: you want, Kenny? I want my Ferrari in a three
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: point six. So I'm just saying, why not, gentlemen, why
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: not just make it? What's the What's I mean, real quickly,
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: real quickly. What's the negative of making these players just employees?
- 1:55:53Speaker 7: I think, though I might be missing, I think the
- 1:55:57Speaker 7: point that we're missing is that there is no problem
- 1:56:02Speaker 7: making them employees. There's a problem admitting that their employees
- 1:56:06Speaker 7: classifying them as employee.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: Okay, what about them? We clearly, we've clearly crossed. Maybe
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: anytime somebody be on some man. I'm taking the day off.
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: This company ain't doing what it's supposed to be doing
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: for me. I don't to be making more.
- 1:56:19Speaker 9: Well, what about the say only fifteen on the team
- 1:56:22Speaker 9: can make it to the NFL. What about the other
- 1:56:25Speaker 9: would say it's eighty ninety players normally the other seventy
- 1:56:29Speaker 9: five or so that wants to go to school to
- 1:56:32Speaker 9: be able to continue to Maybe I want to be
- 1:56:35Speaker 9: a doctor. I want to be a coach. I have
- 1:56:37Speaker 9: to have my degree to be a coach. I know
- 1:56:40Speaker 9: I'm not I know I'm not NFL. I'm not Major
- 1:56:43Speaker 9: League Baseball or NBA material, but I want.
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: To You should go to a school for education. But
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: I'm so good though, and they want me there to
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: help them win this national championship. No, we don't do
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: that anymore. If you could take this check and go
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: get an education.
- 1:56:58Speaker 9: No, but I meant I want to stay here and
- 1:57:00Speaker 9: get my education here, because they say it, because I
- 1:57:02Speaker 9: got my degree from here.
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: Even football don work. Because when I go on this
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: interead producer, whatever I pay you, you can go get
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: educated with Go buy your own degree. Oh, you can
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: buy one that's what they call it. When you're paying money, sir,
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: somebody's paying for you to go to school. So that's
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I actually wondering, boy, the refund because
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: Valdosta State didn't close. And that's what the president did.
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: The biggest thing he's done in his term, President Biden.
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: Student loans, that's what he did. Trust me. They're still
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: paying for kids to go to school, so trust me.
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: South Carolina Anthony Drayton got arrested the other day. He
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: created a school. It was one of those, but he
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: went on and created a whole school football program. He
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: formed a fake up in Jasper County, South Carolina, Hardyville.
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: He's accused of running a fake football teams, winning several
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: victims out of thousands of dollars he was charging between
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: fourteen hundred and four thousand dollars. Thirty seven year old
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: was arrested, convicted, multiple victims of fraud. This just happened
- 1:58:28Speaker 1: with the last compoty seven hundred dollars for what to
