Twain Fire Contained at 10% | Reno News
The Twain Fire in Plumas National Forest is now mostly contained at 276 acres with 10% containment, thanks to 24/7 efforts by federal, state, and local crews. Firefighters face dangerous conditions amid dead trees from the 2021 Dixie Fire. Cooler temps and scattered thunderstorms are expected, with smoke visible as far as Susanville. Highway 70 remains open with traffic management, while an evacuation warning is in place for areas north of the highway. The cause is still under investigation.
