- 0:15It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh with us inside the treehouse.
- 0:23Welcome to episode one oh one century plus one. And not to brag
- 0:32or nothing, but I'm going to celebrate our one hundredth plus one episode with
- 0:37a tsunami of stupid gentlemen, So I want you to be not just mentally,
- 0:42but also physically, but most importantly emotionally prepared for said tsunami of stupid.
- 0:49Okay, yeah, ready, you say that, but we'll just have
- 0:54to We'll just have to see raj okay. Is the hawk Tua girl involved?
- 1:00I'm sorry say that again. Don't tell me the hot Ta girl hot
- 1:08to uh hot oh no girl saving relationships left, right and sideways? All
- 1:19right? Who is that? You really don't know who the hot Tua girl
- 1:22is? No, honestly, I thought it was something you mentioned Tua,
- 1:26and I thought, well, is that the Is that the guy that got
- 1:29catfished at Notre Dame or was it the guy who was all greased up carrying
- 1:34the Tongan flag at the Olympics like three different times? Uh? All right,
- 1:38everyone, hang on, give me a tsunami of stupid. Must wait
- 1:42because Trey has to educate me. On something that I've seen. Well,
- 1:45he's gonna warm the waters for the tsunami. He's gotta, he's gotta,
- 1:48he's gotta shift the tech. Do you know who I'm talking about? I
- 1:51do not. Oh this is great, so I'm not alone in my ignorance.
- 1:56Yeah, he's gotta shift the tectonic plates to get the water to put
- 1:59to pull back and then and then we can rush in with the tsunami.
- 2:02That's true because the worst storms I've learned this living in the Caribbean now for
- 2:07a couple of years. The worst storms happen when the waters are in fact
- 2:12warm. So this makes sense. Yes, Well, the tsunami happens when
- 2:15the tectonic plates shift up and there's nowhere for all the pressure to go,
- 2:20so it goes straight through the ocean floor up to the sea level and it
- 2:24you can always tell when the tsunami is coming. The shore line gets larger
- 2:29because the water is pulling back. And that's when if you see that,
- 2:32if you're ever on vacation and all of a sudden you're like, hey,
- 2:36where did the water go run? And because of the tsunami a handful of
- 2:40years ago, I know that, Yes, seeing it and that was before
- 2:46what was that the mid two thousands, was it the Indonesian tsunami? So
- 2:50that was before that was before the prevalence of smartphones being able to pull your
- 2:53phone out and to start recording video really easily, let alone good video.
- 2:57Yeah. So it's like if that has but nowadays and you saw the water
- 3:00disappear, I know, to run my ass the opposite direction and ry like
- 3:06hell to climb the high ground. Yeah, I lovel in la in the
- 3:09You know, when you go to down in Santa Monica or if you go
- 3:13to Hermosa Beach or any of those, they have a tsunami evacuation route.
- 3:19We have those here on the street signs. Yeah. I think it's hilarious.
- 3:22I'm like, oh, so you're gonna outrun water? Oh okay,
- 3:27at least here with the tsunami evacuate with the tsunami evacuation route, got hurt.
- 3:34Say, you can just go up because it's mountains. Yeah, so,
- 3:38like you get to the beach, you can go up pretty quickly.
- 3:40You just got to be good at running uphill. The downside is the majority
- 3:46of the tsunami evacuation route signs are covered up with banded slash happy hour stickers.
- 3:54So it's actually kind of brilliant marketing when you think about it, that
- 3:58in order to avoid the sunai me, you must first hit the happy you
- 4:01must first hit the happy hour at beach bar. Or what you do is
- 4:04you set up a bar on top of the mountain so when the sunamty hits,
- 4:08the captive audience the windmill bar. Okay, okay, all right,
- 4:15okay, hang on. Okay, So I'm seeing this now because Tray,
- 4:17you're sharing your screen with this so we can see this. This girl looks
- 4:20familiar. I think I've seen a video that's not even the girl. Okay,
- 4:25so never mind then. So anyway, this was kind of a man
- 4:29on the street deal, and the guy asked, what do you do to
- 4:31keep a man happy? Okay, can y'all hear that? Yeah, it's
- 4:46a little soft, but play that again. I think I got the gist
- 4:49of it, but I just want to make sure. Yeah, So he
- 4:54asks her what to do to keep a man happy? Yep, sure it
- 4:59does. She has a plan. All right, give the hawk tua and
- 5:09spit on that thing. I can believe that that has been that is the
- 5:14I bet I can't even fathom how many views that thing has and how many
- 5:16you know, different it's been everywhere. Yeah, imagine you got a number
- 5:27of hands raised in the comments. She's a wise woman, Okay, is
- 5:31she? Because now I'm wondering, I've questioned things when I've seen this in
- 5:36h in the adult film industry, the spitting thing, what what is the
- 5:41what is it with the spin on it thing? It's like, can't you
- 5:43just get you know, they sell products at commons to Go and New Fine
- 5:47Arts all these places to you know, slick things up. You don't have
- 5:51to hawk Tua like that chick is saying, yeah, I don't, I
- 5:57don't, Yeah you do. Okay, So this this lady has found one
- 6:02of the ways to get to Trey's heart. Yeah, that's right. You
- 6:08know what, I should not be surprised. One of the ways to get
- 6:11to Trey's heart is by spinning on him. A poor fellow. She's like
- 6:24the oral sex yoda. Hoktua, you must clearly I'll have not been on
- 6:31TikTok this week, so I guess not. I get the occasional email,
- 6:36but I don't check all of them. Yeah, it's the funniest thing for
- 6:40me with TikTok, like, I don't go on there anymore. I don't
- 6:43upload videos and I have. I've gotten more followers in the last two months
- 6:48than when I was actually actively on it. Uh So I don't know,
- 6:53So is this is that where she was on was she on the I I'm
- 7:00not actually even sure which one it started on, but I just in my
- 7:03head I always see this is like her dad's going to be at like the
- 7:06golf course with his buddies, and like, oh man, you got to
- 7:10check this girl out. And that's my that's my little one. Yeah.
- 7:14Now, the worst part is that they found some bartender who looks just like
- 7:18her, but it's not her. And of course that girl has just been
- 7:20getting Yeah, actually she'd be getting a lot of tips, I would,
- 7:27and I bet she'd say and money. Although going back to the golf thing,
- 7:39that would be really awkward. At the nineteenth toll when yeah, that
- 7:42girl's dad gets handed you know, a buddy's phone check this chick out,
- 7:46I'm like, oh my god, yeah, it's really I mean, there
- 7:49are t shirts that have been made, so yeah, really bad if his
- 7:54buddies see it. Used to be back in the day that in Playboy They
- 7:58would always ask the center folds until, so what what are your parents going
- 8:01to say? What your father gonna think? And some of them will say,
- 8:03well, they don't know. Uh, some have said, you know,
- 8:05I think they'll be really proud. The twenty first century version of that
- 8:09is going viral and is it the thing you want to be known for in
- 8:15perpetuity? Yeah? The only thing that only come back like for her,
- 8:18like the only saving grace for her dad, Like if he saw the video
- 8:20and be like, ah, just like her mom that got get a rich
- 8:28husband, didn't get off my roll. Yeah, honestly, that might be
- 8:33the only saving grace is that if he can say, yeah, she gets
- 8:35it from her mom. But if she doesn't, yeah, then he's gonna
- 8:41have questions as to where she's picked this up. His daughter went viral,
- 8:46and he's gonna be like, God, I wish it was her pees that's
- 8:52what I get for sending her to Texas State. Yeah? Was she she
- 8:56a college student down in sand Marcus Trey or we know the origins. It's
- 9:01a great mystery. Will she come forward? Oh, backwards? Sideways?
- 9:07I'm sure she does all the time. She'll not only look back at it,
- 9:13you and all your friends. You don't want to see her scrap book.
- 9:24She didn't use glue to stick. I know when they win. You're
- 9:43listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 9:54Let's get Daniel Cook from cook DFW Roofing and Restoration into the Treehouse. Now
- 9:58give him a call for you or free roof inspection, a property walk about
- 10:01where they look at everything around your house. And to get yourself on the
- 10:05All Important cook list that is a three to three cook DFW the website cookdfw
- 10:11dot com. Daniel, you struck me as an outside guy, seeing as
- 10:15how you own and operate a roofing business. So when I saw in the
- 10:18news that employers are trying to lure workers back to the office with desks,
- 10:22I thought to myself, I don't think that would lure Daniel into an office.
- 10:26I think he likes what he does. Yeah, Dan, I'm not
- 10:28an office guy. I think my whole career, I've always had some type
- 10:31of activity job, whether it's inside, bartending or working on cars, there
- 10:39was always something act. If it wasn't sitting behind a desk, I literally
- 10:41would go batshit crazy. Probably if I had to sit behind a desk for
- 10:46eight or ten hours a day. You know, my guys are never at
- 10:48their desk either, really, and they're efficient and I always tell them,
- 10:50hey, you're more valuable doing what you need to do in the field,
- 10:56helping customers, getting out there making your appointments. You know, when you're
- 11:00sitting at a desk, you know you're not doing too much for us.
- 11:03Yeah, and when you're sitting at a desk, you're not doing a whole
- 11:05lot for the client. And that's where your business really thrives. You put
- 11:09the customer, the client first and foremost to everything you can and will for
- 11:15what they need, and they'll do that exactly for you. So again,
- 11:18give them a call for that free roof inspection, the property walk about where
- 11:20they take a look at everything around the house that may need attention, and
- 11:24of course getting yourself on that cook list where they call you to schedule that
- 11:26stuff once per year absolutely free eight three to three cook DFW and again the
- 11:31website cookdfw dot com. You're in the treehouse, visit us online at treehouseonair
- 11:45dot com. This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by Cook DFW,
- 11:48Roofing and restoration for your free roof inspection, property walk about and to
- 11:54get yourself on the cook list completely free of charge called eight three three Cooking
- 12:00df W eight three three cook DFW the website cookdfw dot com, before being
- 12:07introduced to the Hakatua Girl, which thank you again for that Trey. I
- 12:13promised a tsunami of stupid. In order to get to the tsunami of stupid,
- 12:18I must first interrogate Raj about something. Have you yet subjected yourself to
- 12:26predator too? I have not. I've been a little bit busy, but
- 12:31I promised this weekend I will get to that. In American Ninja, those
- 12:35are on the top of my list. I just I got sucked into watching
- 12:39Monkey Man the other day. So I did did you finish Monkey Man?
- 12:46Because I finished Monkey Man this morning at the gym? Yes, I did.
- 12:50And what did you think of Dev Patel's directorial debut as Monkey Man,
- 12:54or as some are calling it, Indian john Wick. I don't understand the
- 13:00john Wick reference. I don't get how that is. But okay, like
- 13:05he kills a lot of people? What is at point? What is Monkey
- 13:11Man on? It is a new action film on Peacock. Yeah, Okay,
- 13:16did you ever watch I'm uh brain farting on the title? What was
- 13:22that? Was his first movie? Raj def Patel? Oh, slum Dog
- 13:24Millionaire, slum Dug Millionaire. Did you ever see that? Trey? No?
- 13:28I haven't. Okay, So Trey's cinema history seems to be uh the
- 13:33most figures last night. I feel like that's the equivalent of, Hey,
- 13:39I've got a black friend, the most exotic marigold on the hotel movie,
- 13:48I don't know what else? Who? Really? You know what I've been
- 13:52Slim Dog Millionaire has been one of those movies I wanted to watch, So
- 13:54I will watch that this weekend. It was a wonderful movie that almost never
- 14:01got made. Danny Boyle, who directed it, who phenomenal director. He
- 14:07has scripts on his desk that people send all the time. And at the
- 14:11end of the year, he has his daughter come in and she takes an
- 14:13industrial science trash can and she just swipes off his desk and all the scripts
- 14:18go into the trash can, and that every year, the cycle is repeated.
- 14:22And she had read this script and put it on his desk, and
- 14:24it was called Question and Answer. Q and A is what the book was
- 14:28called where the movie comes comes from, And when she was swiping everything off,
- 14:33it landed on top and she had put it on his desk, like
- 14:37you need to read this, and he never did, and so it landed
- 14:39on top of the pile and she took it off and went back into his
- 14:43office and was like, I told you to read this. You need to
- 14:45read this. And that's how the movie got made. Otherwise it would have
- 14:48just had that fallen to the bottom, that movie would have never been made,
- 14:50and those careers would have never been made either. But yeah, I
- 14:52mean, monthy, I appreciate that little nugget of information because again, going
- 15:00to unleash a tsunami of stupid. So it's nice to be treated to a
- 15:03little solid nugget of good old fashioned did you know information? Yeah, I
- 15:11liked monkey Man. I thought he did a great job. I think it's
- 15:13introducing him into the world of being an action star. He did, he
- 15:18did very well. He wrote the screenplay, he directed it, he produced
- 15:22it, and yeah, so I thought I thought it was really good.
- 15:24I never understood, like somebody said, you gotta watch it. It's Indian
- 15:28John Wick, and I never understood besides the fact that he kills a lot
- 15:31of people, and there's a dog. I don't The dog is very brief
- 15:35in the film. Yes, Look, it's an action film at its core,
- 15:39and like most action films, there's either a protection aspect or a revenge
- 15:45aspect in the story. Right in some cases and might get a little bit
- 15:48of both. Yep uh. And in this one, it is a revenge
- 15:52story. And again that's what that's what a lot of action films are are.
- 15:56Revenge said, that's what Taken was. It was a protect action plus
- 16:00revenge. It's like, if you take my daughter going to kill everybody,
- 16:03and then he did. That's why it's a perfect film because there's no messing
- 16:06around, there's no learning curve. He's already a badass and then he just
- 16:08destroys everyone in this bath until he gets his daughter in a perfectly timed out
- 16:12ninety minutes. In this film, it's John Wick like, except for the
- 16:17fact that he has to go through a little bit of a learning curve,
- 16:18right or become to truly become what he's meant to be as opposed he just
- 16:25kind of languishing. Yeah, So the revenge aspect, I'm usually on board
- 16:29with that. You get a good revenge tale in front of me, and
- 16:30I'm all about it. And that's what this is. Does he does he
- 16:33move fluidly or does he move like the hunchback of Notre Dame? Like?
- 16:38Okay, so he rings no belts. If you ever look at John Wig,
- 16:45you know Keanu Reeves, especially in two, three and four, Yeah,
- 16:48he has that hunchback kind of leg slide sometime. Yeah. Well that's
- 16:53because he's been stabbed and shot like fifty times to his headlar suit. Yeah,
- 17:00it's not so much a style choice as it is he's bleeding. So
- 17:06the other reason I ask about that is because in order to have a truly
- 17:11epic action film, you have to appreciate where these films come from. And
- 17:17in order to appreciate action films, you have to see you know, the
- 17:22Forefathers, right, yes, and that includes films that star you know,
- 17:26people that you kind of look down on now, like a Jean Claude van
- 17:29Dam And what I'm now going to show you is a very instant progression of
- 17:40action films. I'm going to take you back Raj to nineteen ninety three and
- 17:45Trey. I'm not sure if you've even seen this film. There is a
- 17:48Little Jim starring Jean Claude Van Dam called Hard Target. Now, many films
- 17:55in the late eighties, throughout the eighties and into the nineties that were action
- 17:59oriented. They all had these really generic action these sounding names, and unless
- 18:04you're very familiar with them, they can all be transferable from one to the
- 18:08other. Hard Target, hard to Kill, Time to Kill, a place
- 18:11to kill, a place to die, all these types of things, right,
- 18:15and you can just kind of replace the action ass kicker in each role.
- 18:22Except in Hard Target. I feel like this role was made for Jean
- 18:27Claude Van Dam, or perhaps Jean Claude Van Dam was born to play the
- 18:33Hard Target. Things no one has ever said for two hundred Alex and I
- 18:41was reminded of this recently because I saw on either Instagram I saw on social
- 18:51media Forget it doesn't matter which channel, a scene from the film Hard Target
- 18:56that I had completely forgotten that I want to share with you guys. First
- 19:00question is, Trey, have you seen this film? I believe, I
- 19:07believe I have. I mean, obviously that has been thirty years ago,
- 19:10so h But I'm sadly pretty sure I saw all of Van Dam's movies from
- 19:17I'll say eighty seven to ninety five. Whatever, You're not alone. You're
- 19:21not alone. I've done the same RAJ. Have you seen Hard Target?
- 19:23Is this the one where he's like, at some point fixing a motorcycle and
- 19:26they make fun of the way he says motorcycle. I believe that's nowhere to
- 19:30hide with one of the Pulkin kids. I could be wrong. This may
- 19:33be this one. Oh, this is John Club in that movie. Right,
- 19:37yeah, he made a lot. He made a lot again. Oh
- 19:38yeah, and then cocaine happened. I'm pretty sure cocaine was happening in the
- 19:44middle of this. So I'm going to show you a brief scene here from
- 19:48Hard Target starring Jean Claude van Dam, all the way back in nineteen ninety
- 19:52three. Can you see it? Yeah? All right. You will notice,
- 19:56first off, the mulleteest mullet of all time outside of a hockey rink,
- 20:03and that is on the head of Jean Claudevan Dam. But then he's
- 20:04going to confront or actually two thugs are confronting him and he's gonna have none
- 20:10of it. And then there it is you know in other Westerns when they're
- 20:21wearing the shoulder to floor length the duster and they unveil their wheel gun on
- 20:26their hip. He does the same thing, except he has no gun.
- 20:32He just has his right leg and he unveils it. God, it's this
- 20:37cinema. Look at my leg. That guy's got a knife. I kicked
- 20:48in the face his leg. And another bad guy that lead pipe hops on
- 20:53top of the car with an even even nicer mullet. Mm hmmmm, and
- 21:00then he gives him a spinny kick Mustangs when they were made out of metal.
- 21:10Yeah. I mean that's some high quality stuntwork right there, not only
- 21:14in order to kick all those people with the leg that got unveiled, but
- 21:17with a mullet that Christine yes, and just the right amount of moisture in
- 21:21it. But now there's another scene in the film that you need to be
- 21:27witnessed to that is an evolution of the tsunami of Stupid Okay and traded.
- 21:36That scene look familiar to you just now, No, the next one might.
- 21:42Okay, also from nineteen ninety three's Hard Target, of course, I
- 21:52trust you. His co star Yancey Butler, looking at him. They're in
- 21:56the woods. He looks sweaty and mullety, and he asked, do you
- 22:00trust me? And she says, of course, I trust you. Close
- 22:03your eyes. Not again. Do you want me to trust you with my
- 22:08eyes closed? Close your eyes? She's so excited with anticipation. He looks
- 22:21deep into her eyes. She closes them, opens her mouth just a little
- 22:23bit, anticipating some romantic gesture, and then she looks at the time.
- 22:30Oh, that's a goddamn rattlesnake creeping up over her shoulder. And then prepare
- 22:36for the greatness of John clude vandam that's just a snake. With his bare
- 22:40hand holds it over her shoulder. She looks now, oh my god,
- 22:42look ties it up, but acting on her part, he smacks it on
- 22:52top of the head. That was not what snake she was hoping for.
- 23:00She was getting ready to talk to Ye. Pulls the snake over her shoulder,
- 23:11mac on top of the head, and then he punches it. Can
- 23:18it falls unconscious? Can I Can I just ask him? Can I just
- 23:22ask a scientific question? Yeah? Please? Can you? Can you give
- 23:27a snake a concussion? I don't know. I don't believe. I don't
- 23:34believe you can knock out a snake. No, I mean us, are
- 23:40you immortals? Don't? Claud Bendam, thank you, thank you, You've
- 23:42answered your own question. Rober Okay, can I can I knock out a
- 23:47rattlesnake? No? Can you? No? Contrey No, probably not,
- 23:51but John Claude van Damn, sure as hell can see they missed an opportunity
- 24:00here. They titled the film Hard Target when it should have been called Snake
- 24:06Puncher. I mean that would have that would have surpassed Citizen Kane on the
- 24:08list of all time greatest films just based on the title alone. And that
- 24:12mullet. I don't I don't know how that's not a show on TLC.
- 24:18Is this a snake Puncher or just some redneck with a mullet in Louisiana?
- 24:23Or maybe it would be Lifetime's first foray into the action genre or yeah,
- 24:33exactly? Wishean Claude van dam uh and introducing the hawk to a girl?
- 24:42You're listening to the Treehouse visit is online? That treehouse on air dot com.
- 24:55Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now for any and all
- 24:57of your plumbing. Once in, it's give her a call to one fourth
- 25:02three six eight thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. The
- 25:07other day you posted on the Brooks Plumbing Facebook page a what appears to be
- 25:11a plumber driving his work van off of the residential street, popping a curb,
- 25:18going through one yard, and then ending up crashing through what looks to
- 25:22be a brick and wood fenced into the backyard of another home, to which
- 25:27you smartly captioned same or next day's service, just maybe not this fast.
- 25:32And it was a competitors vehicle, not one of mine doing said accident wreckage
- 25:41off roading. But all of the plumbers we all talk to each other.
- 25:45And that was posted in a plumbing forum on Facebook, a group called Service
- 25:49Plumbers of Texas. And if you do anything in a plumbing truck, or
- 25:55you do a very bad job, there is no one that has seen worse
- 26:00craftsmanship than the craftsman that comes behind the last guy that was at your house.
- 26:07And we're all gonna talk about it if it's done wrong. And I
- 26:11have developed a hypothesis that plumbers are like high school girls in the bathroom.
- 26:17They know everything about what's going on. And I saw this post in the
- 26:22group today and was just like, here is a marketing gold nugget gifted to
- 26:27me by the gods, and we will be sharing this video. And if
- 26:32you haven't been to our Facebook at least go look at that. Because I
- 26:34was sitting at my desk this morning going oh my god, Oh my god,
- 26:38because it was just so bad. I will say, I hope that
- 26:41the technician was not having like a medical episode that led to this. I
- 26:45hope he had not fallen asleep. I want to say, I respectfully for
- 26:49him. I hope it was the breaks. But there's a woman in the
- 26:52backyard sitting at her patio table when he burst through into the yard. And

- 28:02gentlemen ready? Okay, here we go. Is this the right button?
- 28:11It is in order to squeeze in all the stories of the tsunami of stupid,
- 28:18we're gonna throw some news in to help us do this. A woman
- 28:21sued her boyfriend for not driving her to the airport. M sounds about right.
- 28:32Is there a statue of limitations on that? Or should I expect a
- 28:34server at my door? What happened to life? Yeah? Every ex girlfriend
- 28:45that he picked them up at the airport and that that was just hism,
- 28:48like serial killers have their mo o. Trey's a serial lever. Yeah.
- 28:56The woman sued her boyfriend for not taking her to the airport. This was
- 29:02in New Zealand. She sued her boyfriend of six years for not driving her
- 29:07to the airport. He said he'd pick her up and take her, but
- 29:10he did not show, so she missed her flight and a big concert that
- 29:12she was planning on seing. He also promised to stay at her house and
- 29:18dogsit, but he didn't do that either. Well, if she didn't make
- 29:22the flight, then I don't understand how those things would be necessary. But
- 29:25anyway, so she took him to court, ensued for damages, including the
- 29:29cost of a dog sitter and a shuttle to the airport. A judge heard
- 29:33the case and considered whether the agreement was legally binding. How do you think
- 29:37the judge ruled a gentleman? Do you think the judge ruled in favor of
- 29:42the girlfriend who was stranded and not delivered to the airport or did he find
- 29:48in favor of the boyfriend? What state is this? This is the state
- 29:55of New Zealand. Oh, I have no idea, I'm gonna go.
- 29:59He ruled in her favor? Interesting, Okay, what about you? I
- 30:03mean I know that in Texas, a verbal verbal verbally is a binding contract,
- 30:10like you can if you say something out loud and there's a witness to
- 30:12it, there's a that's a contract that's verbally binding or whatever. But I
- 30:15don't know about the laws of New Zealand, so I'm gonna go. He
- 30:19ruled in favor of the boyfriend. Okay, the bell is for you,
- 30:26RAJ, and you get the buzzer. So in fact, the judge ruled
- 30:30in favor, not really in favor of the boyfriend, but basically told the
- 30:34girlfriend, now you're not getting anything out of it. He said that while
- 30:37partners, friends, and colleagues often make social arrangements, they're not legally enforceable
- 30:44unless there is an act that demonstrates an intention that the person will be bound
- 30:48by their promises. I think in English legal harlance, I believe that would
- 30:55be consideration. So, in other words, make your boyfriend sign a contracts
- 31:00he'll take you to the airport. Otherwise you're probably out of luck. And
- 31:02in case you couldn't guess it by the story, now told you they're no
- 31:06longer together. Yeah, that would make for an awkward date night. This
- 31:15interesting little tidmit Texas law of oral representations made during a business negotiation are illegally
- 31:21binding. Case law on that is Trendholm v. Ratcliffe follow really yeah he
- 31:26Uh, I bought a piece of land. Uh. He was a builder
- 31:30and was do a development and uh bought it from a guy named Ray Ratcliffe
- 31:34who owned the piece of adjoining land uh next to it, and promised my
- 31:41dad he would not put a trailer park there. And then once Dad started
- 31:45building, he put a trailer park there and Dad eventually won, went all
- 31:48the way to State Supreme Court. Wow he win? Did he did?
- 31:52He bring out belt that he brought out of a training Sean Gillis, who
- 32:01was one of the most fantastic guys ever. He literally he was. He
- 32:07was from I think Mount Pleasant and uh, just a country guy but like
- 32:10he may, went through ut Law working in the cafeteria, rode a bicycle
- 32:15and John would show up to court with it, you know, just eating
- 32:19a chili dog and have a stain on his tie. But he was one
- 32:22of the best attorneys ever. Was a man after my own heart. Loves
- 32:25this guy. That's because he needed it to be replacing his own. He
- 32:35did fifty two of heart disease from all the chili dogs. But so it's
- 32:38weird. So so that that whole thing is where a verbal contract is binding
- 32:43is because of your dad. That's crazy. Okay, that's very cool.
- 32:47So a little a little more knowledge in the tsunami of stupid. So yeah,
- 32:52there you go that it's important to Pepper in survivor stories. So that's
- 32:58why it makes the tsunami worth Since then, you know, a deceptive trey
- 33:00practices has kind of codified that in actual law. But that was the beginning
- 33:05of it. Wow, your dad was president, so in one hand,
- 33:14anything that his right hand was belt and his left hand was precedent, he
- 33:22called it law and order. And also, one last little piece of information
- 33:30that I wanted to share with you, gentlemen on the news side of the
- 33:35avalanche of stupid. Is this a Florida man, of course through Yeah,
- 33:44a Florida man through furniture off of a Manhattan high rise building, proving that
- 33:50while you can take the man out of Florida, you can't take the Florida
- 33:54out of the man. Yeah. I saw, I saw the story and
- 34:00the I think somebody took a video and or pictures. Did he think the
- 34:07laws of gravity were different? In another state, but I would I'd be
- 34:13willing to say. Yes, he's from Florida. The humidity catches everything midair
- 34:19there, so yeah. The Florida man is accused of throwing furniture off of
- 34:23a midtown high rise building last Friday. According to NYPD, Jean Oliver,
- 34:28thirty three, entered the building without permission, went up to the twentieth floor
- 34:32patio, tossed tables and chairs over the side to the street below. A
- 34:37citizen app video showed a shirtless man on the patio, pacing back and forth
- 34:39and occasionally raising his arms. Crowd of onlookers watched him from the street.
- 34:44They shut down part of the street where the furniture landed. He was charged
- 34:49with burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He is
- 34:54from West Park, Florida, which is near Fort Lauderdale, where I have
- 34:59spentsiderable amount of time over the last week, and I can surely attest that
- 35:06had I been rerouted on my flight to New York, I might have been
- 35:08tossing some furniture off of the building myself. Yeah, I imagine like the
- 35:15Fort Lauderdale Airports has the same sign like at convenience doores like no shirt,
- 35:19no shoes, no service. I just see that, or it just goes
- 35:23no shirt, no shoes, no problem. Yeah, I think it's Florida.
- 35:29I think if they went the no shirt, no shoes, no service,
- 35:34I think they'd be empty. There'd just be like fifty dudes outside just
- 35:38not knowing what to do, milling around. Yeah. I'm surprised in Manhattan
- 35:46like that didn't like in Midtown, especially depending on time of day, like
- 35:50I mean it, Yeah, I'm surprised I didn't actually injure anybody because there,
- 35:53I mean, it's always just packed with people on the sidewalks. So
- 35:59that's stunning that nobody got hurt because that would just absolutely I mean that would
- 36:01just that would be it, like and that would suck, Like what did
- 36:05you get hit with wicker? Like how do you die? Patti of Furniture.
- 36:12In fact, he was shirtless. I mean it's like, yeah,
- 36:14like the transformation to Florida Man couldn't be complete until he ripped off his Shirtmania
- 36:20style. I like, how we have Monkey Man on Peacock, we can
- 36:23have Florida Man on Netflix. We need to make that movie. Look,
- 36:30they made Cocaine Bear I'm pretty sure Florida Man can can you know become a
- 36:34franchise. I think those title was Florida Man Cocaine Bear. That was the
- 36:42South Beach version Bird Cage Part two. I really will watch Nathan Lane in
- 36:52anything Online on Air dot com. You're in the tree House, visit us

- 39:16details and fun and all that kind of cool stuff. Now, before I
- 39:20leave you, gentlemen, this is the backside of the tsunami of stupid today
- 39:25and one of the best things I've heard all week. I wanted to share
- 39:31with you because I like to share things with my buddies, right, thanks,
- 39:37man. And I know that in a previous episode we had a lot
- 39:39of fun with the legend Conway Twitty and with hits like I'm Gonna lay you
- 39:49down the rows and countless others that we're on a cassette in my uncle's tractor,
- 39:58the entire Conway Twitty election. And I'm not making that up, by
- 40:00the way, I believe those are sentences I will never utter. I understand
- 40:07Raj your hesitancy with artificial intelligence, and it's you know, current onslaught into
- 40:12the mainstream. But there are some practical, wonderful, beautifully stupid uses for
- 40:19it. And this is how we distract the AI from killing us all by
- 40:22making it mash up Conway Twitty and oh yes, and if you were alive
- 40:32today in the club about ale soul of bum. I'm in the having sex
- 40:40in the making the This is the greatest thing I've ever heard of money.
- 40:45What's up? This is the greatest thing I've ever heard. They say,
- 40:49Hey, it's going to ruin us. You know what, if it does
- 40:52kill us, I'm gonna laugh the whole time. You know what, You're
- 40:55right though, trey A. I can't ruin us because we humans ruin every
- 41:00thing first. And this is and this is a great example of that.
- 41:04The Conway Twitty mash up with fifty cent. Oh, if you're in the
- 41:09getting rooms, go shot. He's it's your birthday. We're going to party
- 41:14life. It's your birthday. That's so good. I'm brought the bands on
- 41:20the dose win a road twenty deep. It's twenty nine in the blow.
- 41:27God brought me the dos about all my fancy things. I dread, my
- 41:32cars, my clothes, my duels and fitting jeans. Hell yeah. Uh.
- 41:38Fifty cent actually came across this himself on social media. It's from the
- 41:45account there I Ruined It, which on Instagram has over two point two million
- 41:49followers. Ruin your favorite songs, They'll do mashups of others and this is
- 41:53one of their more recent examples. Fifty cent saw it and he needed to
- 41:58repost it obviously, and he fully endorsed it by even saying, my country
- 42:05album is on the way. Beyonce Ain't got on me held Beyonce song and
- 42:14now the Conway twitty fifty mashed up. I'm on the Conway twitty fifty cent
- 42:22train. Yeah, same here. I think that's the hologram. Nobody at
- 42:24Coachella is expecting his fifty then comes out and then Conway Twitty. It's funny
- 42:31you mentioned that, RAJ, because I believe they even you checked to see
- 42:38here. Yep, I'm going to show you a photo here. This is
- 42:43from the there I ruined it account on Instagram, and they not only mashed
- 42:47up the songs in the club by fifty cent and tight fitting jeans by Conway
- 42:54Twitty, they also have the photo here of the mashup of con of Conway
- 43:04Twitty's hair and clothing with fifty cents face and so, gentlemen, I now
- 43:07introduce you to Conway Fitty. It should be twenty cent. That is the
- 43:15other that is the alternate name is twitty cent. I would listen to what
- 43:24do you mean, would this is twitty cent Oh, No, I would
- 43:28go to the car. I can find me in the club a bottle full
- 43:31of bone. I'm in the having sense, in the making the con Give
- 43:38me. If you're in the getting room, go shot. It's your birthday.
- 43:46Okay, there are any of our listeners that happened to work at a
- 43:50Country and Western bar where they were they were people get out there and cut
- 43:54a rug as you guys say, can you please slip that song in because
- 43:59nobody's gonna notice it for the first everybody's gonna start dancing because they're don't hear
- 44:01Conway twitty. Yeah, they may not notice until either the second or third
- 44:08verse. They're not going to notice it in the first because they'll they'll start
- 44:10laying dancing in the first without a doubt. Yes, So, if there's
- 44:15anybody, any of our listeners that happened or wedding DJs or party DJs whatever,
- 44:20just kind of sneak this in when when somebody asked for a line dance
- 44:22song. And in addition to that, Raj, I'm not sure what your
- 44:28feelings are about Halloween in general, but you're the only one in the treehouse
- 44:31that could actually pull off the Twitty Scent Halloween costume, and I'm I'm definitely
- 44:38going to do that. I don't know. You better, you better bring
- 44:44your ass to town. Oh I want to witness that in person. Twenty
- 44:47cents going out on the town. No, No, you're going in the
- 44:51club and you know what, you're going to be wearing, jeans and then
- 44:58you're gonna lay us all down. I'd say, hello, darling, there
- 45:06it is your tsunami of stupid for today. Thanks for hanging out with us
- 45:09inside the tree house. We will see you next time.
