- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on, everybody? Welcome in to another episode
- 0:12Speaker 1: of DiCecco Daily. It's Andrew DiCecco, Eagles beat reporter for InsideTheBirds.com.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Thursday's injury report, not practicing. Linebacker Zach Bond, concussion. Wide
- 0:24Speaker 1: receiver Hollywood Brown, ankle, tight end Dallas Goddard, knee. Tackle
- 0:28Speaker 1: Fred Johnson, knee. Wide receiver Devontae Smith, hamstring. Limited defensive
- 0:34Speaker 1: tackle Jordan Davis, calf. Safety Marcus Epps groin. Defensive tackle
- 0:39Speaker 1: Mauro Jomo, calf elbow. Running back Will Shipley, foot. Full participants.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Running back Tank Bigsby, abdomen. Linebacker Jahad Campbell, knee. Defensive
- 0:51Speaker 1: tackle Jalen Carter, wrist. Wide receiver Darius Cooper, knee. Outside
- 0:56Speaker 1: linebacker Jonathan Grenard, pectoral. And defensive tackle Byron Young, toe.
- 1:02Speaker 2: So, let's start with the obvious. Not good defense.
- 1:06Speaker 1: For Devontae Smith to be a non-participant on Thursday, which
- 1:10Speaker 1: is a really important practice. Well, really every practice is important,
- 1:14Speaker 1: but to not have Devontae out there on Thursday, it
- 1:18Speaker 1: seems as though he's trending towards not being available.
- 1:22Speaker 2: On Sunday, and all signs point to that.
- 1:25Speaker 1: And that's a big loss for the Eagles, needless to say,
- 1:28Speaker 1: on an offense that is struggling to find its footing,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that needs all of their aces in place to be
- 1:35Speaker 1: able to produce points against a really high-octane Rams team
- 1:40Speaker 1: that can score points in bunches, of course, with Matthew Stafford,
- 1:44Speaker 1: Devontae Adams, Puka Nakua is expected back. They have a
- 1:47Speaker 1: number of tight ends. Kyron Williams, their running back, is
- 1:50Speaker 1: a solid football player. So you need Devontae Smith. The
- 1:54Speaker 1: passing game runs through him. But this is a hamstring
- 1:57Speaker 1: injury that going back to August, he missed three weeks
- 2:00Speaker 1: of camp with a hamstring. It popped back up early
- 2:05Speaker 1: in the season and it revealed itself now. And this
- 2:07Speaker 1: is a shortened week that he's dealing with this. So
- 2:10Speaker 1: my expectation is that Devontae won't be able to go.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Barring something unforeseen, I would be really surprised. But also,
- 2:21Speaker 1: Zach Bond is a player that came up with a concussion.
- 2:27Speaker 2: And it would be.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I don't know that there's even enough time for him
- 2:32Speaker 1: to clear the protocol. There's five steps you have to
- 2:37Speaker 1: go through. And I think the shortest amount of time
- 2:42Speaker 1: would be five, six days.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:45Speaker 1: It seems based off of everything that I've gathered and
- 2:49Speaker 1: just the sense and the pulse of the locker room
- 2:52Speaker 1: that Zach Bond won't be available Sunday. Again, that would
- 2:57Speaker 1: be something unseen, you know, barring something unforeseen, but not
- 3:02Speaker 1: practicing for a full week as you're going through the protocol.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's tough to imagine him being out there on Sunday.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I would expect him also not to be out there. So,
- 3:14Speaker 1: by what we have to go off of, you would
- 3:16Speaker 1: be without your top linebacker, arguably their best defensive player,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and one of, if not their best offensive.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Player in a game that you need all of.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Your stars to be able to go out there and,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and give yourself the best chance of knocking off a
- 3:33Speaker 1: team in which you're your home underdogs. So, and you're
- 3:36Speaker 1: trying to get back into the, the wind column here.
- 3:40Speaker 2: This is a really daunting matchup.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And that's really my biggest takeaways from this week is
- 3:46Speaker 1: the injury situation. And unfortunately for the Eagles, there are
- 3:51Speaker 1: some key players that have a doubtful, I would, I
- 3:56Speaker 1: would say their status for Sunday is doubtful. Now, let's
- 4:00Speaker 1: look at the players who would step into more prominent
- 4:04Speaker 1: roles in their absence.
- 4:07Speaker 2: At linebacker, it's going to be Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
- 4:10Speaker 1: and I know that there is a lot of folks
- 4:12Speaker 1: out there that have been calling for more Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
- 4:15Speaker 2: though it was at the expense of Jihad Campbell.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I have more thoughts on that later on that I'll
- 4:21Speaker 1: get to, because there's something there that doesn't sit quite
- 4:27Speaker 1: right with the the the the piling on of jihad
- 4:33Speaker 1: campbell a young player who i don't i don't think
- 4:36Speaker 1: is performing as poorly as some might suggest and then
- 4:41Speaker 1: you have jihad campbell who was a full participant which
- 4:45Speaker 1: is obviously a good sign now jeremiah trotter jr is
- 4:49Speaker 1: a very instinctual player but he doesn't have the range
- 4:54Speaker 1: or the multifaceted skill set, if you will, of a
- 4:57Speaker 1: Zach Bond. What he's very good at is being disciplined.
- 5:00Speaker 1: He's an instinctual player and he has an exceptionally high
- 5:03Speaker 1: football IQ. What I would expect from the Rams, namely
- 5:07Speaker 1: quarterback Matthew Stafford, is to try to manipulate him with
- 5:11Speaker 1: his eyes, try to get him in space and take
- 5:14Speaker 1: advantage of that. He's really good at diagnosing things. So
- 5:18Speaker 1: I think as a downhill player, He will check off
- 5:21Speaker 1: a lot of those boxes and help against the run.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But I do think that, based off of everything that
- 5:27Speaker 1: I know and that I've seen, that the Rams are
- 5:30Speaker 1: going to try to pepper the side of the field
- 5:33Speaker 1: that he's on, the intermediate levels.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Of the field.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And I think that this is sort of an even
- 5:40Speaker 1: bigger point here because teams have been doing that with
- 5:44Speaker 1: Jihad Campbell as well. And Jihad Campbell, immensely athletic player,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but someone that has maybe overrun some plays. Maybe he's
- 5:54Speaker 1: out of position at times. But, I mean, you look
- 5:57Speaker 1: at the upside that he has, and I'm going to
- 5:59Speaker 1: make my point now while I'm on this topic. Jihad
- 6:02Speaker 1: Campbell is a good football player, and there are inconsistencies, yes.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And to some extent... This is an extension of his
- 6:12Speaker 2: rookie season.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I thought he performed pretty well last season before he
- 6:15Speaker 1: gave way to N'Kobe Dean, and that, to me, was
- 6:18Speaker 1: just Vic Fangio showing deference to a player that knows
- 6:21Speaker 1: how to play the position in N'Kobe Dean. There's a
- 6:24Speaker 1: lot of trust and confidence in N'Kobe, and that's why
- 6:27Speaker 1: they went that route. I didn't think it was at
- 6:29Speaker 1: all an indictment on Campbell. Now, this season, it's been
- 6:33Speaker 1: shaky at times. I'm not going to sit here and
- 6:36Speaker 1: tell you it's been a, you know, a strong start
- 6:41Speaker 1: to the season for Jihad. I think there's plays that
- 6:44Speaker 1: he would like to have back. I think there's plays
- 6:46Speaker 1: that a lot of players would like to have back,
- 6:48Speaker 1: but what I, what I don't put too much stock in.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And I think it's kind of ridiculous is some of
- 6:54Speaker 1: these arbitrary numbers that you see out there on social
- 6:57Speaker 1: media that are, you know, looking at speaking of Jihad
- 7:02Speaker 1: Campbell and coverage and things like that without context, those
- 7:06Speaker 1: stats are worthless.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And I, I, And I think all that's.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Doing is fueling the skepticism and the angst, and it's
- 7:20Speaker 1: needless because I don't agree with it. I think without
- 7:23Speaker 1: context and without understanding the player's role and the coverage responsibilities, look,
- 7:32Speaker 1: teams are always going to look to isolate a linebacker
- 7:36Speaker 1: in coverage.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's the biggest mismatch you can find.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Whether it's a running back, a tight end, a wide
- 7:41Speaker 1: receiver coming across, that's always going to be a mismatch.
- 7:44Speaker 1: And you look across the NFL, depending on what metrics
- 7:47Speaker 1: you value or you look at, there's a lot of
- 7:50Speaker 1: the top linebackers in the league that have been susceptible
- 7:53Speaker 1: in the passing game. So I think there's a little
- 7:57Speaker 1: bit too much piling on with Jihad Campbell. He's a
- 7:59Speaker 1: young player. We're three games into the season. And to
- 8:03Speaker 1: be honest with you, there's no better option anyway. You
- 8:05Speaker 1: drafted him in the first round. You've invested time and
- 8:08Speaker 1: development in him. The only way you play yourself out
- 8:11Speaker 1: of whatever funk you're in is by going out there
- 8:15Speaker 1: and repping it and working through those challenges and growing pains.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And I look at the athleticism that he brings, the range.
- 8:22Speaker 1: He has the makeup of a modern-day NFL linebacker in
- 8:26Speaker 1: that he can do a number of different things. He
- 8:29Speaker 1: doesn't give you the run support that a Kobe Dean has.
- 8:33Speaker 2: He doesn't maybe give you that that thumper type of style.
- 8:38Speaker 1: But what he does give you is uber athleticism, really
- 8:43Speaker 1: good length that I think can help and contest some throws.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And he can close quickly.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He's someone that I think has done that and will
- 8:52Speaker 1: continue to do that. And they need to be better
- 8:55Speaker 1: at that across the board. And he's one of the players.
- 8:58Speaker 1: But if you're looking at the levels of concern on
- 9:01Speaker 1: the Eagles defense. He's not one, he's not two. He's
- 9:05Speaker 1: a little further down the list there. And so I
- 9:08Speaker 1: think a lot of the scrutiny, the criticism, if you will,
- 9:13Speaker 1: directed at Jihad Campbell, I think a lot of it
- 9:15Speaker 1: has to do with the defense having some early turbulence,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you look naturally at the new faces, Jihad Campbell and
- 9:23Speaker 1: Drew McCuba, the two young players that have now stepped
- 9:26Speaker 1: into more prominent roles this year. And you're naturally going
- 9:30Speaker 1: to look in that direction. Also, the fact that Jihad
- 9:33Speaker 1: Campbell is not the Kobe Dean and you see the
- 9:35Speaker 1: season that the Kobe Dean's having right now through three.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Games, it's pretty impressive.
- 9:41Speaker 1: But look at the coverage numbers as well. If you're
- 9:44Speaker 1: going to If you're going to play that game with
- 9:46Speaker 1: Jihad Campbell.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I've kind of always been along the lines of affording
- 9:52Speaker 1: young players the opportunity to grow and develop, especially when
- 9:55Speaker 1: they have a lot of obvious talent. And then you
- 9:58Speaker 1: coach them up on their shortcomings. And if you're the Eagles,
- 10:02Speaker 1: you hope that they're able to work through that. So
- 10:04Speaker 1: that's their linebacker situation.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I would expect, to be clear.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford and the Rams, Sean McVay, to craft a
- 10:11Speaker 1: game plan that looks to take advantage of the Jihad Campbell,
- 10:15Speaker 1: Jeremiah Trotter Jr. linebacker tandem. And the Eagles are going
- 10:18Speaker 1: to have to combat that. So that means that Vic
- 10:20Speaker 1: Fangio is going to have to cook something up to
- 10:22Speaker 1: counter whatever the.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Rams might do.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And if you're looking at it with the silver lining
- 10:29Speaker 1: in mind, Vic Fangio has done a nice job against
- 10:32Speaker 1: Sean McVay. This is a very daunting matchup, and the
- 10:34Speaker 1: Eagles are probably going to enter this game pretty undermanned.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So I'm not going to try and sell it or
- 10:39Speaker 1: spin it anyway, but that's kind of my assessment of
- 10:43Speaker 1: the linebacker situation right now. And then you get to
- 10:45Speaker 1: the wide receiver spot. I mean, that's tough because Devontae Smith,
- 10:51Speaker 1: if you go into the season, there's a handful of
- 10:53Speaker 1: players that I would say that the Eagles can least
- 10:56Speaker 1: afford to lose for a game or whatever. Devontae Smith's
- 10:59Speaker 1: pretty high on that list. Quinion Mitchell is very high
- 11:02Speaker 1: on that list. Jalen Hurts, of course, is high on
- 11:04Speaker 1: that list.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Lane Johnson.
- 11:06Speaker 1: There's a number of players, but the point is Devontae
- 11:09Speaker 1: is hugely important and critical to the Eagles' success offensively.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And so you look at the players behind him, and
- 11:15Speaker 1: I think a lot of those players are in their respective.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Roles, have done a nice job.
- 11:20Speaker 1: But now, assuming Devontae doesn't play, that now requires Dontavian
- 11:26Speaker 1: Wicks to step into the top spot at wide receiver.
- 11:30Speaker 1: He's never been asked to do that before at the
- 11:32Speaker 1: professional level, but he seems pretty confident. And I actually
- 11:36Speaker 1: have a quote from him because he spoke on Thursday
- 11:39Speaker 1: about And he gave a good answer when it comes
- 11:42Speaker 1: to developing that early rapport with Jalen Hurts.
- 11:46Speaker 2: He says, I said, what do you attribute that to?
- 11:49Speaker 2: He said, reps.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It's repetition and off-season work. Being around each other when
- 11:53Speaker 1: everybody else ain't around, doing the small things that go
- 11:56Speaker 1: towards just getting that chemistry and building relationships. It's not
- 12:00Speaker 1: just about on the field, but it's about building a
- 12:03Speaker 1: relationship off the field so that that trust builds on
- 12:06Speaker 1: the field.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That's the biggest thing.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Wicks also spoke about the preparedness, not just for him,
- 12:13Speaker 1: but for the group in terms of stepping into a
- 12:17Speaker 1: bigger role.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And he mentioned prepared. It's next man up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: When you get to practice and get the reps in,
- 12:26Speaker 1: the other guys out there, we're ready for everybody to
- 12:30Speaker 1: step up.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It's football now.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You know that those times show up, come up during
- 12:34Speaker 1: the season. It's a long season, so some weeks you
- 12:37Speaker 1: might not have guys out there. But we just go
- 12:40Speaker 1: in with it, and however it plays out, we're going
- 12:43Speaker 1: to be ready. When asked, does it change anything in
- 12:49Speaker 1: terms of your preparation and all that, he said, I
- 12:54Speaker 1: don't know.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I just know, if so, I got to step up.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Be there for, for Jay, be there for the, for
- 13:02Speaker 1: the offense and just capitalize on the play, the opportunities
- 13:06Speaker 1: the coaches give me.
- 13:08Speaker 2: And yeah, he said, it's been.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Good in terms of just settling in so far through
- 13:13Speaker 1: three weeks. He said, just staying on it, building that
- 13:15Speaker 1: chemistry that builds through the season too, not just before,
- 13:19Speaker 1: not just at the start of the season. And I
- 13:22Speaker 1: feel like it keeps building and we've been building on
- 13:24Speaker 1: our feet and just keep going, stacking days, stacking weeks. And,
- 13:29Speaker 1: and things like that. So that was Dontavian Wicks, who
- 13:31Speaker 1: spoke Thursday. We also heard from Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
- 13:35Speaker 2: and I'm focusing on these two players because.
- 13:38Speaker 1: They're the ones who are elevating into a pretty important
- 13:41Speaker 1: role for the Eagles on Sunday. He mentioned, and this
- 13:48Speaker 1: is pertaining to how prepared do you feel if you
- 13:53Speaker 1: do start this week, and Trotter Jr. said, I'm going
- 13:57Speaker 1: to make sure I'm prepared because I got to go
- 13:59Speaker 1: out there and just take the same type of film
- 14:04Speaker 1: study and preparation I take every single week and just
- 14:07Speaker 1: go out there and make sure that I'm out there
- 14:09Speaker 1: doing my job to help the team win and put
- 14:11Speaker 1: us in a position to win. Do you have a
- 14:14Speaker 1: sense of how much more prepared you are now than
- 14:17Speaker 1: you would have been earlier in your career in.
- 14:19Speaker 2: The same situation?
- 14:20Speaker 1: He said, I think I've definitely gained a lot more
- 14:22Speaker 1: experience with it with being uh with it being two
- 14:26Speaker 1: years now well two full years i guess but you
- 14:29Speaker 1: know i've gained a lot of experience learned a lot
- 14:31Speaker 1: and having more experience always helps what are some of
- 14:37Speaker 1: the things that the rams do to put the linebackers
- 14:39Speaker 1: in conflict and how do you combat that yeah you
- 14:42Speaker 1: know we definitely see a lot of boots on film
- 14:45Speaker 1: mess with your mind and mess with what you're trying to,
- 14:49Speaker 1: your reads, but as long as your eyes are in
- 14:51Speaker 1: the right place and you understand your responsibility and your
- 14:54Speaker 1: role as far as the one piece out of 11 guys,
- 14:58Speaker 1: you'll be fine. You just got to slow the game
- 15:01Speaker 1: down and make sure your eyes are right and get
- 15:02Speaker 1: back to fundamentals.
- 15:04Speaker 2: So that's Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And I kind of wanted to just bring you some
- 15:09Speaker 1: quotes from the locker room. They both spoke and that's
- 15:12Speaker 1: the Eagles injury report for Thursday. Now, Eagles offensive coordinator
- 15:17Speaker 1: Sean Mannion spoke at the beginning of the locker room period.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I wasn't able to go to his press conference. I
- 15:25Speaker 1: went to the locker room. I had to make sure
- 15:27Speaker 1: I got the rookie diary done. And I wanted to
- 15:29Speaker 1: see if Dontavian Wicks was going to be in there
- 15:31Speaker 1: so I can get some insight into his preparation for
- 15:36Speaker 1: this coming week. But I have some Sean Manning quotes
- 15:41Speaker 1: for you that I'm sure you're going to want to
- 15:43Speaker 1: hear and offer some clarity to a lot of the
- 15:45Speaker 1: questions I'm sure you may have about the game and
- 15:48Speaker 1: talking about the second half struggles, including the Chicago game
- 15:51Speaker 1: and his thoughts on solutions. He said, certainly as a
- 15:53Speaker 1: staff and as a team, we're working through getting better there.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You hate to do a lot of nice things in
- 15:58Speaker 1: the first half and some of these games and kind
- 16:03Speaker 1: of fall into a rut in the second half. It's
- 16:05Speaker 1: something we've been discussing each week, looking to get sharper
- 16:07Speaker 1: and sharper as a unit and as a staff. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: think we got some good things to work on there,
- 16:12Speaker 1: some good thoughts moving into this week of how to
- 16:14Speaker 1: improve on that because you hate to have, in the
- 16:17Speaker 1: Tennessee game, you had some good long drives and then
- 16:20Speaker 1: you kind of stub your toe out of the gate
- 16:22Speaker 1: in the second half. Certainly that was the case in
- 16:24Speaker 1: the Chicago game as well. We're working at that. We're
- 16:27Speaker 1: attacking it each day to be better. They're coming out
- 16:30Speaker 1: of halftime.

- 19:09Speaker 3: Camden Apothecary, top quality cannabis, great prices, and an experience
- 19:14Speaker 3: made for Philly fans 21 and up.
- 19:18Speaker 1: The run game and how it was going well in
- 19:20Speaker 1: the first half. and in the second half, not so much.
- 19:23Speaker 1: What would you identify there? I think the effort, the
- 19:26Speaker 1: physicality of our unit up front, and I think, too,
- 19:30Speaker 1: it's the whole unit now. I mean, that's one thing
- 19:33Speaker 1: we stress. It's the receivers blocking. It's the tight ends blocking.
- 19:36Speaker 1: It's the running backs finishing. It's the quarterback carrying out
- 19:39Speaker 1: a keeper fake. The one thing you can never question
- 19:42Speaker 1: with our guys is their effort, their physicality, their play style.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I've been really proud of that through three weeks. I
- 19:48Speaker 1: thought we were pretty sharp in terms of our fundamentals.
- 19:51Speaker 1: That was a big focus going into week three. I
- 19:53Speaker 1: thought we did a good job in the first half.
- 19:55Speaker 1: There were a couple of things we can be a
- 19:57Speaker 1: little bit cleaner on in the second half and then
- 20:00Speaker 1: some adjustments that we can make schematically too. I think
- 20:04Speaker 1: the second half adjustments, things like that, some little tweaks
- 20:07Speaker 1: here and there that will help put us in a
- 20:09Speaker 1: more opportune situations. The other thing is we kind of
- 20:15Speaker 1: fell behind on a couple of those later drives. We're
- 20:17Speaker 1: trying to push the ball down the field in the
- 20:20Speaker 1: past game a little bit more, but certainly want to
- 20:22Speaker 1: expand off of what we did in the first half.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I was encouraged by that. Just need to carry through.
- 20:28Speaker 1: In the second half, with, again, some adjustments on our
- 20:30Speaker 1: end as a staff, and then continue to lean into
- 20:33Speaker 1: the fundamentals and play style for the unit. Wide receiver
- 20:36Speaker 1: Devontae Smith and Hollywood Brown both dealing with some injuries.
- 20:40Speaker 1: How does that throw things into the mix? And that
- 20:42Speaker 1: was in terms of the heavy 11 personnel team. that
- 20:52Speaker 1: seems to be tied to the injuries. And he said,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I'm not going to comment on our upcoming plan for
- 20:56Speaker 1: the Rams. But like you said, I think the nature
- 20:58Speaker 1: of football, especially as you get deeper and deeper into
- 21:00Speaker 1: the season, it's only week four, but.
- 21:02Speaker 2: You're always going to be managing certain things.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It's my job as a coordinator to our staff's job
- 21:07Speaker 1: to manage the plan and ultimately give ourselves the best
- 21:11Speaker 1: chance to succeed. The screenplay to Devante Smith right before the,
- 21:17Speaker 1: The half where the Eagles had 19 seconds. He spoke
- 21:20Speaker 1: about that. He said we had 19 seconds left and
- 21:23Speaker 1: we had a play that we felt like we believed
- 21:26Speaker 1: in and we could take to the end zone. We
- 21:28Speaker 1: had enough time, I felt, that even if we played
- 21:30Speaker 1: it short of the sticks, we could go up and
- 21:32Speaker 1: get a clock. Now, it was a longer push-the-pile type
- 21:35Speaker 1: play towards the end zone. Obviously, we didn't want it
- 21:38Speaker 1: to come that close, a heads-up play by Jalen to
- 21:40Speaker 1: push it into the end zone, but I'm not going
- 21:42Speaker 1: to speak too much on the details of our scheme there.
- 21:45Speaker 1: With 19 seconds left, I felt comfortable that if we
- 21:48Speaker 1: were short of the sticks, we could get the ball clocked.
- 21:51Speaker 2: It was a heads-up play by Jalen.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And we almost scored on the screen there, and he
- 21:55Speaker 1: did a good job getting us to the line, getting
- 21:57Speaker 1: the ball snapped. Last one, the screen passes that I'm
- 22:01Speaker 1: sure you guys want an answer to. Especially with Makai Lemon,
- 22:05Speaker 1: they've been going for negative yards. What are you seeing
- 22:08Speaker 1: with that? Common themes type of thing. Sean Mannion said, ultimately,
- 22:12Speaker 1: we've got to be better in the screen game. That
- 22:14Speaker 1: starts with me. I think we look at all facets
- 22:16Speaker 1: of our offense, and we want to make everything about
- 22:19Speaker 1: it as good as it can possibly be. There's things
- 22:21Speaker 1: to clean up there. There's things that we're looking at
- 22:23Speaker 1: that we can do differently now. different schematically to improve
- 22:26Speaker 1: in that regard certainly the screen game we want to
- 22:29Speaker 1: get more out of it we're working every day to
- 22:31Speaker 1: get more out of it ultimately it's my responsibility to
- 22:34Speaker 1: get that going in the right direction we're constantly looking
- 22:37Speaker 1: at how we can make corrections and evolve and see
- 22:40Speaker 1: how we can be the best team that we can
- 22:42Speaker 1: be moving forward So there you have it.
- 22:45Speaker 2: There's Eagles offensive.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Coordinator Sean Mannion on some key storylines coming out of
- 22:50Speaker 1: the Monday night game, and in some cases, some themes
- 22:53Speaker 1: that have been reoccurring throughout this young season. And with that,
- 22:58Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this episode of DiCecco Daily.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'm Andrew DiCecco, and I'll catch you all on the
- 23:04Speaker 1: next one.
