- 1:47SPEAKER_00: You know, I don't want them thinking that I'm super distracted or anything like that because I'm not.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: I am very good at my time management, but I'm trying to keep it a little bit of a, you know, just a little low-key.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: But I'm very excited about it.

- 3:23SPEAKER_00: We're going to be talking about her entrepreneurial journey that spanned over 10 years.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: She's had quite a journey, and the fun thing about it is her journey is so incredibly similar to mine.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I can't wait to hear about how she's done it and how she's stayed motivated because man, hardships and life happens, as we all know, which is also why I'm sitting here so low tonight.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm so excited to hear Sophie's complete story.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I know a lot about it, but my gosh, I'm so excited to share it with this lovely community of ours over some delicious Smash Burgers and some wonderful sips, whether you're a beer person or a cocktail person or a soda person or something for everyone at tour.

- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And now that is all that I have to say this time.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to lovingly launch you into a nostalgic, whimsical flashback to So This Happened, episode seven.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Enjoy.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Alright, so we're back.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: It's about to happen again.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: It's about to happen on Sew This Happened podcast.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: I'm Jen.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: I'm Rachel.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: And here we go with another week of awesomeness.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: Another week of So This Happened, episode seven, coming to you heavy.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're gonna see what the next few weeks bring.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I have a good sense that it is growing.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: A lot of stuff in the works, I feel like.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I definitely agree with that.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I, you know, it's funny to kind of like watch, I don't know, our community respond to some of the stuff that we're publishing.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Like I'm glad that they feel the same way I do.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: I was very taken about by what these trends are.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: La boo-boos.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Stupid.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: We published so today is the day that we published episode four, which is back when we were talking about you know the laboo-boos.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: They're still a thing, so thank god we're still on trend.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Are we though?
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: That's a you question.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: That's a you question for sure.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: I'm just over here keeping up, but yeah.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: So anything fun that you've done since we guys I feel like we took a little a little shortcut, so let's see.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: It feels like it's been a really long week.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it's only hope day, folks.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: So we'll see.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: But I feel like it's been a pretty long one over the last weekend.
- 6:47SPEAKER_02: I did go on a little outing.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: So I went to Vorschais again.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Love it.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: I know I mentioned that recently.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: Um but yeah, we went and saw the a couple a few friends of mine.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: We met up there.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: We saw the doors experience.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: Ooh.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you know the doors.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: Hell yeah, the doors.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: A tribute thing.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, tribut things.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: It was fun.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: Um, it was packed.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: So they must they really brought the crowd, and it was a fun time.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: They all wore wigs and dressed up.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Like, oh gosh.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: And then there was this guy that dressed up in a big inflatable alien suit and walked around too, because you know, the they were always kind of like, you know, being trippy and talking about other planets and extraterrestrials and things like that.
- 7:35SPEAKER_02: So it was a really fun.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: We didn't stay the whole time, but then then just went and walked around Wichita.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: I love walking around Wichita at night.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: It's really fun.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: And and and I love it around lunchtime too, but it's awesome.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: But this in this time of year, in the evening, it's more fun to just walk around the streets of Wichita and find little gems here and there, and just people watch.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: So did that and then just turned in.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: But it was fun.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: It was nice to get out and just do the simple things like that.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: And so that was good.
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: I feel like that's it.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: It was pretty relaxed weekend for me and week.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: I just kind of tried to stay in and you know, reset as we do.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: As we try to do.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a healthy thing to do.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: As we try to.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: What about you?
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: What else do you do?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Well, um, so I was invited to come check out Stretch Life, which is an assisted stretching company.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: So they're they're out.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Scandalous.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Now let me tell you.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: It was it was interesting.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I don't know if you've okay, so when you run 5K's, you'll see like the massage uh tables and the stretch tables.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: When do I run a 5K, Jim?
- 8:48unknown: What?
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: They're they're always out in the runner's village after after a run or a marathon or something like that.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And so I know it's been a really long time since I've ran a 5k.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Did they offer pickle juice too?
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: That's all I know about 5k bike ride.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: It's a pickle juice.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: No, so they have a they have a brick and mortar out.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: You sit the waterfront.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Is that yeah, the waterfront over by bonefish.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: And so yeah, so what you do is you go in and you lay down like you're laying down on a massage table.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: And it's just they literally start up here, you know, with you know, shoulders, neck.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Do they have different like packages that you have?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's different packages.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Um, I I don't remember exactly what they were because I was just there for I was my session was a 50-minute session.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Whoa.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 50 minutes, five zero.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, and I my whole entire they stretched every single muscle.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: It was really, really cool.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: It was like very much, it reminded me kind of like getting a massage, but instead they're like just moving and manipulating your body.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: You're not at the chiropractor, it's not, yeah.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: But massage makes sense.
- 10:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:05SPEAKER_02: When I was at uh one of my massage therapists, ladies that I go to, she actually told me, I forget which what term she used, but basically I'm so stretchy, my that like if she were to just stretch me, it doesn't stretch my muscles.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: So she does have to physically get in there and stretch my muscles.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: Hyper something.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: That's really interesting.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: So I'm hypermobile.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: So my muscles are hypermobile, and so if they were to just try to stretch my arms, it would actually hurt my joints.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: So she has to physically go in there and stretch my muscles with like those stones and stuff like that.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: To avoid any sort of stress on my actual bones.
- 10:42SPEAKER_02: That makes sense and cartilage.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: So that is that probably makes a lot of sense for especially for different types of athletes or just exactly anybody with different types of like arthritis or stuff like that.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's really good for your joints, it's really good for your circulation.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Obviously, it's helpful for your flexibility, and so that has a whole lot of health benefits.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: And it was all the purity of you.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that that was something that I didn't expect because they so when when when I got done, I sat up on the bench and they offer you a glass of water, and I obviously took the glass of water.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, I know how massage they always want you to rehydrate, but this is really funny.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Tim and I went to dinner following my stretch session, and we got no, it was like no, not very long after we got there that I was sitting up and got ridiculously dizzy.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Like ridiculously dizzy.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: It was I did not know that was gonna happen.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: It was it was a little scary.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad I wasn't driving, um, but definitely like started downing some water.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: They got me some water and I was you know just fine.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: But but I but I left feeling like so like light and sounds like we need to make another appointment.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I know, yeah, okay.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: And it's crazy too because like I've you know, I used to run the half marathons and I used to be a Zumba teacher a long time ago, you know, well not a long time ago, but like seven years ago, I used to do all of this stuff all the time.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: And so, but now I whenever we're walking or doing like walking for a really long distance or whatever, I have this tightness that comes up in the in the bottom of my yeah, like between my heel and my calf.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Like I call that my right there.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: It's right there, and it's the worst.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: That's what I call it.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: It's so frustrating, but I think that like I learned something very valuable from that, like from being stretched out because it hasn't really been bothering me as much.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: I want to have it with shin splints because when I run I get I get kind of shin splints.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: I didn't I always was in denial.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: I was like, that's not shin splints.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: Oh no, you know shin splints.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: I was like, it's right above my foot, and then it's like up my leg in the front.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Is that what a shin splint is?
- 12:57SPEAKER_02: You know a shin splint.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: It felt like it should have been splinting the shins, but I didn't want to admit it either.
- 13:05SPEAKER_02: But I call those my right there spin.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: I don't want to call them shin splits.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: I'm in denial.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because I I really did enjoy running.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: I need to get back into it for sure.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I yeah.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: I I remember running being very therapeutic for me.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: It was cool.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: It was a great experience.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: And not there's a lot of people that hate running, but I really I truly loved it.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure what I love it with a dog.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Stop doing it.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love it.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: I love it with a good dog.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: Dogs love it too.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: Run and chasing geese and things.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: No, does that place so what's it called?
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: It's called Stretch Life.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Stretch life, okay.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so that's cool.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: You know, they actually do say stretching every day extends your life.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: And your mobility and your balance.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Um, do they do parties?
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Like, are there how many therapists do you know they do?
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: I you know, I only saw like I think I only remember there being like three staff members.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: I was I was there directly after work.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: And so there were only like three people there, but there were a lot of beds.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I think there was probably like seven or eight beds.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: I would do that before like an event or something, or like a maybe before like a wedding, be like come and stretch me out.
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: Oh, that'd be cool.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: And then we wear heels all night.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, stretching and dancing all night long.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Focus on my legs and my feet, please.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Maybe a little core in there, because you know.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh yeah, they'll do that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Those heels can play.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: I wear wedges.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: I wear wedges on Friday night.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Instead of walking around.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: Well, I s I'm smart, so I brought sneakers to change that too, of course.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: But for probably good four or five hours, I was rocking them wedges.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Oh gosh.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Oh, wedges are I feel like wedges are way better than heels.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely, especially on the brick in old town.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: That's just a silly, that's just a silly move to bring it.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Unless you have someone to carry you all night.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: Do not wear stilettos in downtown brick area.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: No, thank you.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: That's just a silly mistake.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: You're asking for it.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Cheers to that.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're asking for it if you do that shit.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: No, and I usually wear chucks or some sort of sneakers flash.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: You gotta be able to run or parkour, just like have a good time at dance, or you know, you never know.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: And shoot.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm not trying to be having my feet be sore all week the next week, but I will say it wasn't that bad in wedges, but I did feel a little something, and I was like, ah, why am I hurting?
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: I was like, oh.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I was trying to be pretty the things we do for beauty.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: For real.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: It was worth it.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: They were really cute wedges.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: I I can't wait to show you them.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: They're really cute.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: I got them for my sister-in-law.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: So I had to bring them in.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: She actually had to poke an extra hole in them for me because they're a little big on the strap.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: And so I had her there with me all bearded on my bed, my leg up, and she was like shoving this needle, the biggest needle I could find, through the leather strap.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: And then yeah, it was like a little top.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: Oh, it sounds terrifying.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: Like a surgeon.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: But I know Kayla and I trust Kayla.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: She was careful.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: She I knew she could do it.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: And it worked.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Very good.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: That's my week.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: I'm glad that stretch life went well.
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: I am too.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: It was like a good one.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: I would like to try it.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that would it was really cool.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: It is really close to where you live.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: I'm like, can I just have someone do that for me every night before bed?
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: That sounds so nice.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: Because unless I'm like forced to do it, like I try to stretch, but then I just get distracted.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: I'll be either trying to stretch and relax and like have on a nice show, or I've even tried guided things on YouTube, but I just get in my head and I go, oh wait, I need to go do this.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: So many other things to be doing.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: See, that's why you have to like that's why for me, going to like the why or you know, being in part of a class keeps you like you have to do it.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: I'd like it to be.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: That's exactly like attention span.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Like keep me here, keep me into my routine.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: You know, and it's important for it's important for me to keep to a routine.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: That's how that's you know.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: I I feel off if I don't stick to my routine.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: Now adding things into my routine and sticking with is is the tricky part, but yeah, we're doing the podcast keeping this routine.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're doing a really good job with this.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: I just started some new supplements, so I'm adding those into my routine, and I keep forgetting one.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: It's just one of it's just one of the it's the one I'm supposed to take with food, and I'm always like, I always forget.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Well, those are always the scary ones.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: You're like, did I eat enough?
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: Did I not eat enough?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: I know, like, oh crap.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Oh crap, now it's been too long since I've eaten.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: Um, am I gonna eat again?
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: I have one of those, um, it's a pilt thing, and then it has my Monday through Sunday.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: You know, and then I can just grab each little box and take it with me to work on each day.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I I have that, and I have one in my backpack, which is what I take to work.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: I but the only time that I ever use it is if I'm going on vacation, like not vacation, if about a trip or a vacation.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: Okay, see I just grab each individual one each day and I put it in my purse.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: That's smart.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: I take the two in the morning that I know I can take them and I take the rest to work in case I need them, slash, if I remember to take them.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I knew the two.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Once I eat because the ones I don't need food that can just pop in the morning so that I like while I'm getting ready and chugging my water because I always drink a lot in the morning.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Yes, very important.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: And then and a coffee.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: We'll see, depends what I'm taking and or tea.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: And then uh, yeah, and then I just take the other pills that I are like vitamin supplements that I need as like I'm eating lunch.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, uh, but having it right there on my desk, just that one day reminds me to take them.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: That's okay, that's probably gonna be the trick.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: That's what I need to be doing.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: It's it's keeping it in your sight is the thing.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: Because if it's in your backpack, you're gonna forget.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: You're not gonna see it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's exactly it.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: When I get to work, I take it out of my birthday, set it on my desk.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: That's what I do.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: It's simple, it sounds simple, but it does a lot.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for real.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it does.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Routines are important.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: So, oh, I have to tell you something crazy that happened.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: This is like, it was maddening.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: And like, I wonder how many people this happens to.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: So, I got this email um from an email address from I don't know if I should call the brand out or not.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Can we use initials?
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Uh KS.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: It's a brand whose initials are KS.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I think I know.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure a lot of people are gonna know because a lot of people have heard this story already.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: You'll hear it.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Uh so emailed wanting to invite me to be part of their brand ambassador program, like so collaboration, content collaboration.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: And so excited.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: I have loved this brand for over a decade.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: I literally walked down the aisle in their in their in a pair of their sneakers, and I have a lot of their jewelry handbags.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I just I love I love their stuff so much.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: My cutting boards are this brand, like it's yes.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 20:11SPEAKER_02: Yes, charcuterie is coming.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: It's it's out of hand.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: I love this brand so much.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: And so when I got this email, I was I almost like didn't believe it at first.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: You text me, you were so excited.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: I was so excited, I was so so excited.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Like, I was so excited that like I went completely just like I don't know, like my brain left my body or whatever.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: And so I I've been I've been scammed before um from from other brands offering to collab, and it always comes down to like if they're wanting money from you, then you know it's an automatic no.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: Well, this brand wasn't doing same with dating books, asking you for money, it's a no.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Just say no.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: So this brand this brand wasn't wasn't asking for money, and they were so professional, and keep in mind this is this is what I do for a living too.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: I'm on both sides of this.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I do, I am a content creator, but I'm also an influencer, influence marketer.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I do influencer marketing as my day job.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Like I vet influencers for the brand that I work for, and so I know how this process works, and I know what contracts look like, and I know the vetting process.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: I I literally know the whole entire thing, and so the emails that I was getting, they looked ridiculously legit.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Oh no, so legit that I ended up on Friday signing a contract with them.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: And so excited.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: So excited, but then I I kept telling, I kept telling Tim and a couple of my friends, I'm like, you know, I'm excited about this.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: I signed a contract, but I don't think that I'm gonna believe it's real until I have my ambassador dashboard in front of me and like diet.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: That's how, yeah, my intuition kicked in, and then Monday, sure enough, the email came.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: And then they were asking me for an$800 setup fee for their dashboard.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: That's silly.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: If it was KS, they could have their own dashboard.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: That's exactly it.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Like yeah, they don't need anything.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: So oh my gosh.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: I felt like for one, I felt completely violated.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: It's a really disgusting feeling.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: And it's just so let down, disappointed.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Like I was so excited.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: This was going to be such an organically beautiful collaboration on my brain.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: The freaking audacity of these scammers.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: To think that they could get you.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: I know for real.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Like, did okay, did they research me at all?
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: They may be.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: They shouldn't.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: No, I they say, you know, they say they do.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Well.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: And here's oh man, I provided like screenshots of my insights.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: You know, like my you're supposed to like show them your engagement rate, show them your reach, show them how many followers you have.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Screenshot, screenshot, screenshot.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: And uh oh, invasive.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Now that we know it's legit.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I mean they just have my insights, it's not gonna hurt anything.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: They can't like they can't do anything really with that.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: I didn't, it's not like I gave them my bank account numbers or anything like that.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Well God.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: They in fact, here's the other thing though.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: I hope not.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: They wanted the payment from like through chime.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Ding ding.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: I was like, look, this is weird.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: Like it's not.
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, I even get icked out if somebody tries to give me that for their direct deposit.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: I'm like, no.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: Why do you not have a real bank?
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, okay, I guess chime might be a real bank.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure what bank probably illustrates.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Well, it's it's kind of like a Venmo or PayPal thing, but they also have banking as well.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: But it's like throw card and stuff, but I'm like, I don't know.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And so I was really excited.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, okay, so they're not asking for banking information.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Payments go through time.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Then next thing I know, will you pay us$800 through time?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: I'm like, through chime, not never.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: I'm not paying$800 for anything.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Like, you should you're supposed to pay me the contract says you pay me.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: No, if I wanted to pay$800 for anything, it would be a vacation.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Like seriously.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Like the nice ass hotel room.
- 24:23SPEAKER_02: Thank you very much.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, exactly.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: Like for two months out because I need to budget for that.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: So I am like literally in mourning over like this loss of a not even contract.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: It's so frustrating to me.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: But you know, I think that it's just gonna power house you to the next big thing.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: I think I think you should take it as a compliment.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: They searched you out because they knew that you were worth something.
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: Possibly.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: Well, here's nothing.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: Look how big she is.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna take her and I think I'm gonna take it onto TikTok.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna make it a TikTok, like it make it a TikTok playlist and just talk through it.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: You should.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: So that people are aware, like other influencers can be aware of what to look for.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: This was ridiculous.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they yeah, like circle all the things that you notice.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, exactly.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: Show them all the screenshots.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because that is scary, especially someone just getting into the game that isn't as knowledgeable as you is gonna easily be taken advantage of.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: Oh, for sure.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: That is nothing like so many different ways.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: I mean, luckily I have you, so I would be very like, hey Jen, look at this and you'd be like, I don't know.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And I bet if it would have been like me asking you about it too, you probably would have been even more like I would have been like, okay, let's look at this.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: You'd be like, she doesn't even know social trends.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: What email is this coming from?
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Do they is it on like do they have an email signature?
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Is it like there's so many things to look for, but if they start asking for money, that's a dead end.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Absolutely no, nobody should be asking you for money.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: And then if one if it's happening to you, like you know it's happening to you.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, absolutely.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: It's definitely happening to other people.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: All these scams happen, you know the amount of texts I get.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: Have you ever like been scam scammed before?
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, but it's a terrible feeling.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: They have and they got me, it's not been one.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing though, there's an embarrassment to that too.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: And we shouldn't be embarrassed about it because the thing is they're so they are smart.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: One of them they went to my one of my best friends' account on Facebook, right?
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: And yeah.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: Ask her up with rent, and the next, and it was literally like oh my god.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was weird.
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: And then they even had Facebook called me for a second, but it was blurring crummy and then cut out.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: But I thought it was so they had taken even a video clip from one of her video calls and put it in there.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: And then it was so slimy and it was scary.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: I felt so icked out, and then like I think it was later the night or the next day or something, because I was like, Well, of course, girl, yeah, you know, like I'll send you 50 bucks or whatever to help with ring.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: I know you're gonna get your paycheck tomorrow.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: I just know it's back to back for her, and she's always been good for it and everything.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: But I was like, I guess, like, you know, of course, but but I was like, what the fuck?
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: After like a what?
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: And then she felt so bad because she contacted everybody they was were contacting and was like, so sorry, you know, and it even has you like, who do you I trust now?
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: Because I was over here like, no way, no way would she do that.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: So her Facebook got hacked.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so she had to completely cut off the camera.
- 27:26SPEAKER_02: And somehow, like, yeah, it's creepy because they used her video, just like a little short, weird clip somehow of it on top of the messaging, and utilized her like verb.
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: It was just really weird.
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I felt so like, okay, what the hell?
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: And then she felt terrible because she was like, girl, I'm sorry, I'll try to pay you back.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: And I was like, it's all your boss.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, it it is, but it isn't.
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: You know, it's not, it's not.
- 27:52SPEAKER_02: Don't ever click the link.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, I was just I was like, oh well shit, that's just too easy to hit a button these days.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it really is.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: Especially when they get in with people you trust.
- 28:01SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what the shit?
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: So yeah, that's how I've been scammed before they got me.
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: I feel like I was almost a part of another one at one point, but yeah, I didn't fall for it and I didn't ever get cash out to work, which was probably out of hindsight.
- 28:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this man said he was gonna send me about it.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: I remember that.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: And I was like, hey Jen, is this this is probably not a good idea, right?
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: It was like I'm not even doing anything.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: I literally have like 50 friends on Facebook.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: She was gonna have a sugar daddy.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: As if.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: Uh-uh.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Speaking of as if I'm the sugar mama, okay.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Did you know that as if so clueless, where you know, as which made as if the same as it is today?
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: She did.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Was 30 years old yesterday.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, cheers to them.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Cheers to Clueless.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: 30 years of clueless.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: So cute that woman.
- 28:56SPEAKER_02: She knows.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: As if.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: How do her lips do that thing and look cute but not stupid?
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: I love Alicia Silverstone.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: She's amazing.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: I didn't even know her name.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: You don't need to.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: She's pretty.
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: She's amazing.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: But yeah.
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: Those are the times I've think I've I've been scammed and then I've been almost scammed.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: There's probably another time I've been scammed.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know there's times I've been scammed.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Never lend friends money.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: You know, okay.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: That's another yeah, I've I've been scammed by a friend before, too.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Like an actual friend?
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like an actual friend.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: I let her open a an energy account, like evergy, you know, or I let her use my the my account to open a new account for a house that she was moving into.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: So then here's what happened.
- 29:47SPEAKER_02: Also never sign for a friend.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: So when I what I didn't know is what she was not paying her bills.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: So when I moved into, when I got divorced and moved into that smaller house a few blocks away and needed to sign up for energy, the energy bill, I had to pay off what she never paid before I could even.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: So, you know, fun perk of a divorce and trusting your friends.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Gee.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, you gotta be boundaries.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: This is why boundaries are important.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: Boundaries are important.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: We said ours a long time ago.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: No, they're good.
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're we had a hole in our fence our whole life together.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: We've never really had other friends.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: There are rules in place that should not have to be spoken about.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: There are some friendships where that just works and you know it.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there are you know people are dynamic, yeah.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: Dynamic.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: That's a really great word for that, dude.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're dynamic.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I have a question.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Should we do TikTok trends first or should we do this or that questions first?
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't know.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Um well, I need a coin.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: I know, we don't have a coin.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Um, why don't we do I only have one trend this week that I can think of.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: So why don't we knock that out?
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Is this really funny?
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Do I need my whiteboard?
- 31:24unknown: Nope.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you want to use your whiteboard for any reason, I mean I might need to nervously doodle.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Let's see what you got for me.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Let's see what you got for me today.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: So today's don't talk about laboo boos.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: So this no, we're not talking about laboo boos today.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: But stupid No offense if you love labo boos.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Today's internet topic, TikTok, trend it's not really a trend, it's more of a meme this time, is do it, lady.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: What?
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Do it lady.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: So I saw one clip at one point with someone saying this, and it's this guy named Chit.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: Yes, that says it.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: And he says, do it, lady, and he's like, got this really awful haircut.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: And he's got this little like office in a basement.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: And then Olizman are looking at him like, what do you what does that mean?
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: And he's like, you know, do it, lady.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: All of it.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Like, all of it.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: And they're like, do what?
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I feel like I say that.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: I feel like I text that like to you already before I saw that.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: But the way he says it on your birthday.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: It's so weird, you know, on your birthday.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: That's right, because he was like writing someone's birthday card or something.
- 32:47SPEAKER_02: And he was like, Do you so I have seen that?
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: Good.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love it.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: I follow that page because I think they're just so much.
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: And you know what?
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: It reminds me of a character that I don't want to say the name, but that your old neighbor used to do.
- 33:01SPEAKER_02: He used to do these characters on YouTube.
- 33:05SPEAKER_02: And it I swear it looks like him if he wore a wig and acted nerdy.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I know who you're talking about.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Our old neighbor that I lost the toe wit.
- 33:15SPEAKER_02: The toe wit.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes, that's another story.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about your lost toe.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: What happened?
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: How did you lose a piece of your toe in my driveway, Rachel?
- 33:26SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: So what?
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: It was an evening in the summer of probably 2023.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Well, and I must have been out of town because that would have mean that you that would have meant that you were house sitting for us.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: I think it could have been either.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: You were either here or I was just over there.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: And I was at both houses.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: I went out to my car to grab something, I think another cup or something.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: And I was running back inside.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: I was barefoot.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: Maybe I was running flip-flops.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: And that that driveway is not well done.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: No.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: It's a mixture of concrete, pavement, cracks, and grass.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Rock, cracks, grass, probably glass.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: I ri took off to turn and run back into the house.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: It's a neighbor's house, not this house.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: And I got into the front door and I went, ah! I flew the door open and I was like, oh my god! Dying I hit my toe or something.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: I didn't even look at it yet because it's pitch black outside.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: I make my way into this man's bathroom and I put my foot up in the sink and I go, oh my god.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: And he's just like, what's happening?
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: And he's just and then he looks down at the carpet and he's like, there's like a trail of blood.
- 34:40SPEAKER_02: So I spit, there's a trail of blood from the front door.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: And so he's he just doesn't even care about me.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: He's over there dabbing up blood, this and that.
- 34:48SPEAKER_02: He's trying to clean his house because I just bled all over his carpet.
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: And he thought it was being dramatic at first, and then he looked down, and then in the in the middle of the blood trail, he finds a chunk of my toe.
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: And I have my foot in the sink in the bathroom, just like uh rinsing it off or something.
- 35:08SPEAKER_02: And he he just goes to here, you go, I thought you might want this, and he flops it in my hand, and I go, Oh my god.
- 35:15SPEAKER_02: This thing was like like a quarter, and it was like so thick, it was like four millimeters thick.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: It came off the top of my big toe.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: So, what did you do?
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: Like, what is the reattachment situation?
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: I did not.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: I was like, I don't know what to do with this joke.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: My toe will never be the same.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: No.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: I lost like the first, like the good fourth of the top of my big toe.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: I was, I don't know, so I I think I have a video of him somewhere on my phone dropping it into my hair.
- 35:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because it's just in that.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: And I was like, and he was like, I thought you were just being dramatic, but then I found this.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: It just shaved it off like a big old potato slicer.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: So gross.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: And no, I didn't.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: I think it's it's in the it's in a trash dumpster somewhere.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: Some dog probably ate it or something.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: But I had to I had to walk around in footfalks with my toe like completely wrapped in like my foot really and then I just drank some whiskey to try to forget about it and propped my toe up and probably watched a nature documentary or something like that.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: That's a great thing to watch.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: I don't remember, but I I don't remember exactly what transpired after that because I was in such shock after losing part of my toe.
- 36:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I never thought it would be the same.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: But it is, I think, I think it's the same now.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: I can walk and everything, but yeah, it might have been more funny if you were there.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, I would be happy to be there for you.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: I kind of want to find that video again and send it to the neighbor.
- 37:02SPEAKER_02: Remember this.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Thanks for being there for me.
- 37:06SPEAKER_02: Barely.
- 37:07SPEAKER_02: You just turned me my to-chunk back.
- 37:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there you go.
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: Thanks.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't need it anymore, apparently.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: It's no longer mine.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: You're still stable, it's fine.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, enough.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, right?
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think it's time for this or that.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, good story.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: It was a great story.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: You guys are gonna hear all of our stories one time or another, you know, throughout the the course of our podcast.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: Buckle up.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: Buckle up, there's some great stuff.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: There's some great stuff.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, what do you got for me?
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right, Rachel.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: So we're doing this or that questions tonight, and we have eight of them.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: The first question is pickles or olives?
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: And so we're writing our own answer.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: And then what you would pick?
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Okay, yes, we're gonna do that the same thing.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: Is both or neither an option?
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, you put whatever you want.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm just saying, like, this isn't like don't look.
- 38:10SPEAKER_02: You don't look.
- 38:11SPEAKER_02: I am not am I like yours?
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: Don't look.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: You don't look.
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: Do you know mine?
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: Do you know my answer too?
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: I think I know yours.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be surprised if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I know yours.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Well you tell me when you're ready, because I am ready.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, is ready flip?
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: I told I said Oh, you like both.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: I like both.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: I'll eat the shit out of anything pickled.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Anything pickled.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: I hate olives.
- 38:39SPEAKER_02: I think they're ew.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: I can't think of one thing pickled I don't like.
- 38:42SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: I've even had pickled eggs, and I didn't think that I would like that.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: I've had uh pickled beer before.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: I had pickled ostrich eggs for a minute.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: Ostrich eggs.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: A pickled like it was a littler egg.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, like a little like pigeon egg, maybe?
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: Maybe a pick egg, quail egg.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Let's say it was quail.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Probably a quail egg.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Probably quail egg.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: I don't want pigeons egg.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: That was terrible.
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: And then I put pickles for you.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you were right.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: I love wrong because you put pickles, but I do like both.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: So it's like half a point?
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: Okay, pigeons, half a point.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: I get one point.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: I'll let you keep it.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: Do you just want to keep scoring your board?
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: The next one.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Like if we know each other's answers on this.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: I think maybe.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Extra ice or no ice.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Try to picture you with other drinks besides mine.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: Um you can't shake my cup.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: No shaking my cup.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, go.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: I don't want ice.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: No one can read our boards when we flip them to the screen, Jen.
- 40:02SPEAKER_02: We just love them together.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: I put extra for me and I put na for you.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: You don't really love ice.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not a fan.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: No, it makes your teeth hurt.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: So if I do have ice, then I prefer drinking with a straw.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, I should have wrote that.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: Do I still get it?
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: That one isn't like a bonus point.
- 40:22SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 40:23SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm gonna go into more detail next time.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, this one is a very important question.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's polarizing to the country, honestly.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Uh-oh.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get some haters.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Probably.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, it would be really fun if people put their gentles in the quest.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: Please tell me it doesn't have to do gender.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: No.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, toilet paper, over or under.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, who knows?
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Did you ever look at something and realize how ridiculous it's spelled and how it looks so weird as a word?
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: I have feeling that about my name.
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: I don't have it.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: Are you ready?
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, over, over.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: Over.
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: And I said I hope over.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: Every time I've definitely over.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: Every time I've gone to the restroom in your home, I've noticed it's over.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: Unless Nick changes it.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: He actually it said 50-50 because he doesn't know that we are an over household.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: So Nick's off toilet paper game.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm gonna have to teach Nick.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Nick is a teachable person.
- 41:28SPEAKER_02: He's still a he's still not an adult.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: We're both too good at these games because we need someone else to come up with questions.
- 41:33SPEAKER_02: I told Timothy too.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, so okay, here we go.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: We get into it because the the rest of these are Chad GBT questions.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: But it's so fun because I'm glad that we're right.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: I'm really happy that you're a friend that has over the toilet paper stuff.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: I I go I I guess I don't know.
- 41:51SPEAKER_02: Is this control issues where you change their toilet paper?
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, no, I don't think it's a control issue.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: I think this is the only thing that makes sense.
- 41:57SPEAKER_02: I like refuse to use their toilet paper unless I can flip it around the correct way and then use it.
- 42:03SPEAKER_02: I do flip it around the correct way.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: Even if it's not on the toilet paper roll, I put it on the toilet paper roll.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: Unless it's a very complicated one that you have to like unscrew or something.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: I do this in public places.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: Like if it's a small business and it's easy to flip it, I'll just be like, you're wrong.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: You're wrong.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: That's how passionate I am about over.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: I can get on that boat for sure.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the next question: voice memo or long text?
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: This is where this world gets confusing, I will say.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: I have so many comments, Lana.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Well, we are about to talk about it.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you ready?
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: I have long text for both.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: We have never voice messaged each other.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: No, it's so I have no, I I do think it depends on the person.
- 42:51SPEAKER_02: It does depend on the person.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: I I prefer a voice message over a voice to text.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: That shit's oh, I don't like voice to text.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: I think that stuff is weird.
- 43:00SPEAKER_02: One of my friends does that, and I literally read it, and I'm like, I like do you do this for entirely?
- 43:04SPEAKER_02: I know you're trying to talk to me, but I don't know if exactly what I'm reading is interpreted the right way.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: There's no punctuation, no inflection.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: I would rather hear the inflection and the pauses.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: I I used to really like when someone of my past would send me, a few people actually would send me voice messages, and I like that because it is quicker.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: You get kind of the vibe across, and it's an sure voice.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: There, okay, so there's that.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: The the only the only real problem that I have with with a voice message is that I'm not always in a position to a lot of work.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: If I'm at work, I I can't listen to it.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but yeah, I agree.
- 43:50SPEAKER_02: You know, for me, yeah, it's more like if I'm in the car and I want to just hit play and listen to it instead of reading it, honestly.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I do like to listen to them because it feels so heartfelt.
- 43:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then I can and then I can just record one while I'm and it's not like it's not voice to text, you don't need to edit it.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: It's not so maybe it's just like This is what we're in the habit of right now.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: I think it depends on the person and the situation.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: Definitely, yeah.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: But definitely between you and I and me and most people, it's a text because also I am the person too where I want to be able to take the time to go through your long text exactly thoroughly.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: So even if it's a long text and I don't respond for hours, that's right.
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: Or I don't respond for a couple days.
- 44:28SPEAKER_02: I'll go back and be like, hey, I just she always comes back to you.
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: I can tell you that.
- 44:32SPEAKER_02: She always does.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: It's a blessing and a curse, I guess.
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: No, I it's just no, it's coming.
- 44:37SPEAKER_02: No, no.
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the patience.
- 44:39SPEAKER_02: I like, I just I like the text in there.
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: That way I can still see it.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: And then because a lot of times I click on it and I won't respond right away, but it's because I didn't have the capacity to fully respond, and I want to give you the attention you deserve.
- 44:54SPEAKER_02: That's exactly right.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: Just because I can't give it right now doesn't mean I'm not gonna give it.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: It just means that that's on my leader.
- 45:01SPEAKER_02: So that's Mark as unread.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: Marcus unread, because here's the thing, though.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: If you open it and read it, you're gonna you're gonna forget to go back to it because it's not standing out there.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: It still happens.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, it happens.
- 45:13SPEAKER_02: I did it to Jovana accidentally last week.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: It seems so my friends know me.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm like, please double text me.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: Just for I just got busy.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: I thought I responded, or I already half texted a response and I just didn't send it.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:29SPEAKER_02: So I've done that before too.
- 45:30SPEAKER_02: I hate that.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: I do it all the time.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: I sent it.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: And it's like sitting there when I opened my phone.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: I swear there should be an emoji that just means did finish that.
- 45:38unknown: Yeah.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: Oh that could be used in multiple ways, I guess.
- 45:47SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: That was a good one.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Rachel's at four, Jen's at three and a half.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: This question.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: I love this question, but I think we both know.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Um hair.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: Like, do you air dry your hair or do you use the Dyson?
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Dyson's hair tool.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: Like it.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: No, they have a the you know the Dyson, like your Okay.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: Well, I just gave it my hands.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: My bathroom.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: I just gave away my answer.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: I just gave away my.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: Should we call it null?
- 46:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: You air dry, I is a Dyson.
- 46:26SPEAKER_02: I air dry slash braid dry.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: It just depends.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: It depends how tired I am if I get to braid it or not.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: But it always looks amazing.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: That's so kind.
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: You should have seen it this weekend.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: It was not so pretty.
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: I did not braid it.
- 46:43SPEAKER_02: I woke up looking like I had a mullet of some sort, I don't know, or bird's nest.
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: She was wild.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: She was wild.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: Gosh.
- 46:50SPEAKER_00: All the all the hair everywhere.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: I'll take it.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Our next one scented candle or essential oil diffuser.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: You're thinking over there.
- 47:13SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Go.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: No one that's your answer, they fully solution.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: I put both for you.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: I I said candle, but have both.
- 47:20SPEAKER_02: So you're ready?
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: And then I put candle for you.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: Send a candle.
- 47:26SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we both get a full point.
- 47:28SPEAKER_02: That's so funny.
- 47:29SPEAKER_02: Because I put candle, because I prefer candles, but I definitely have both.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I need you have a whole rack of essential oils in your bathroom.
- 47:36SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: And not just a rack.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: It's one of those nail polish racks.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: Like it looks like you've gone to the store.
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: I have them alphabetized.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Rachel's very organized.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: I have a problem.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: No, she doesn't.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: I have a couple problems, but my essential oil rack is not one.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: It looks wonderful.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: It's glorious.
- 48:04SPEAKER_00: Alright, so this question is serious.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: Is it do you prefer binge watching or do you savor one episode a week?
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: Animal.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: This is silly.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: It is silly.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: Almost.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Are you making art too?
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: No, but I can.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not gonna know it's gonna be phallic.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 48:44SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 48:46SPEAKER_02: I put binge for both, but I'm gonna put binge unless I have to.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: Like if I really want to watch a show and there's only one more out.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: But even then, okay, so like nine perfect strangers.
- 48:59SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, I haven't seen the new season yet.
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: But for something like that, that's that's psychologically like drawing it and you want to focus on it.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: I don't I I just I'm at the point where I can't just watch one.
- 49:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: I need to let it go.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: So I haven't watched it, so I'm hoping I want I want the rest of the season, or at least I need like at least three episodes.
- 49:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:19SPEAKER_02: Because I because I want to really get in that zone.
- 49:22SPEAKER_02: Because it takes like one for me to like really soak in and get like settled in the mindset and super soaked into the characters, yeah.
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: And the vibe going on, and then those other two are just like crushing it.
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: And then, yeah, so definitely binge watch.
- 49:36SPEAKER_02: See, you know, we are victims of our own time of life the way that streaming is, but I'm here for it.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: I I obviously one good thing about this life, it's that I can stream movies.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: I know, I love that.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: I get sucked into a story, so I just I love a good fiction story, and so right now we're watching scandal and we're binge watching, but like there's seven seasons, we're finally taken scandal, and I I never watched it's the Shonda Rhimes heard of it.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: So, same person as How to Commit Murder or How to Get Away with Murder, Shonda Rhimes and Graves Anatomy.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: I guess the same thing.
- 50:16SPEAKER_02: I haven't seen that.
- 50:17SPEAKER_02: I've I'm thinking of how women kill.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: No, this one's how to get away with murder, and then she did Graves Anatomy, and then she's done Scandal, and oh my gosh, it's so freaking good.
- 50:28SPEAKER_02: It's so good.
- 50:28SPEAKER_02: I do need more shows to finish, so I think I'll get an odd one.
- 50:33SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be bad.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: Don't don't tempt me with a good time.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just like I remember back growing up and having to wait a whole week for another episode and just oh and then you like thank god for recaps, you know, because things happen in your real life in between episodes of the week.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: I know, and that's why I also ended aving it.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: I think is that it?
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: No, okay, I have one more.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: So, morning person or don't talk to me till 10, Gremlin.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: AM.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: Am I at work or at home in bed?
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: At work.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I guess so.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: Can't read it.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: I've said both of us don't talk till 10.
- 51:19SPEAKER_00: You just said no, no.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: You always have like you always have this shortcut.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: I'm always like, I know.
- 51:29SPEAKER_02: Don't talk the eyes.
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: You said coffee on yours.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: Yes, no.
- 51:34SPEAKER_02: Honestly, though, my meetings someday start right when I get to work.
- 51:38SPEAKER_02: So I have to.
- 51:40SPEAKER_02: Um but my trick is I prepare the day prior.
- 51:43SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's so smart.
- 51:45SPEAKER_02: I already have my list prepared.
- 51:47SPEAKER_02: And if I don't, then I just, you know, cycle about it in my head as I fall asleep.
- 51:53SPEAKER_02: And can't fall asleep.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: And then can't fall asleep.
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: It's a really great.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: This is why procrastination is not the answer.
- 52:01SPEAKER_02: Eddie, it's not procrastinating.
- 52:02SPEAKER_02: I just get so much to do that you gotta just do it when you can.
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: When you can.
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: Is that procrastinating?
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: No.
- 52:10SPEAKER_02: No.
- 52:11SPEAKER_02: What I'm saying.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: So I think we both won this.
- 52:14SPEAKER_02: I think we did.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: You lost by half a pink, but I'll give it to you because the olive pickle debate was unclear.
- 52:20SPEAKER_02: That was our first question.
- 52:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 52:22SPEAKER_02: The rules weren't stated.
- 52:23SPEAKER_02: That's why I was like, is there both or neither?
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: Like, what are we doing here?
- 52:28SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we're teen, we're tied up.
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: Look at us go.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: This podcast is an opportunity for us to learn more about each other, too.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: I know, but the funny thing is so we're gonna need hard questions.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we've been friends a really long time.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: We'll have to, yeah.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Next time we'll enlist my husband.
- 52:44SPEAKER_02: I think we have to go deeper.
- 52:45SPEAKER_02: Like, we might have to get a little messier here.
- 52:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we might have to get a little unhinged.
- 52:49SPEAKER_02: We can do that.
- 52:50SPEAKER_02: Oh boy.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: We can do that.
- 52:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: All right.

- 54:03SPEAKER_02: We're gonna have to start finding a name also for our followers, I think.
