  We talked about Connor Zilich falling off the door and I read

  the comments section late last night and there was a lot of

  people saying, Herman, give us your opinion.

  We want to know your thoughts on Superman, Jonathan Davenport or

  JD. Hell, he's got three names,

  doesn't he? Superman is 1.

  JD or Jonathan Davenport versus Bobby Pierce.

  So I thought to myself, OK, well you know, a lot of people say

  I'm like just read the comments section or see what's in the

  news. So I'm going to give you my best

  opinion on Jonathan Davenport versus Bobby Pierce #1 this is

  absolutely the greatest thing that has ever happened for dirt

  Super Late model racing, no different than the World of

  Outlaw Sprint cars. The greatest thing that has ever

  happened is David Gravel versus Kyle Larson.

  You know, when I was a kid growing up, I learned when my

  That was the greatest thing that ever happened to the Cup Series.

  Because anytime you can create a rivalry, that's what brings the

  So when you look at when you look at JDJD is an asphalt racer

  who turned into a dirt racer. JD grew up on the red clay,

  which is extremely hard and down South they just don't dirt track

  those dirt cars. If they're sideways, that is no

  good. Furthermore, anybody that's

  sideways in dirt racing nowadays is slow.

  So but just remember JD grew up driving straight, you know, very

  speed, exit speed. So JD grew up just, you know,

  making the perfect arcs. And like I said, he's an asphalt

  racer like me. I'm an asphalt racer.

  I got no business running dirt. I'm just running dirt 'cause

  it's something to do. But I started dirt racing at 44

  OK, now I told you about JD. Now Bobby Pierce, Bobby Pierce

  grew up watching his father Bob Pierce, the tall cool 1 sweet

  daddy ladies man. So Bobby Pierce grew up in the

  middle of Illinois where everything's a Bullring and you

  drive out of fucking control every racetrack and you the

  track gets wore out and you're looking for grip and you go to

  the wall. So Bobby Pierce grew up driving

  in control, but totally out of control as we could see it.

  It's like, holy shit, you know, here, let's let's look at some

  of the drivers. The Mohican missile, Shannon

  Babb, holy shit, he's out of control, but he's but he won.

  So you know, Randy Cordy, you know, I'm just thinking

  everybody that now you, you look at somebody like a Dennis Herb

  Dennis is pretty rare. He drives real smooth for racing

  around. You know, Central Illinois.

  Bottom line is this, if you are a Central Illinois driver and

  you run Fairbury and you run Farmer City and you run Peoria,

  you're most likely gonna be a banger type driver.

  It's just the way it is. So Bobby Pierce grew up.

  You know, I watched him at Belle Claire, Belleville, IL one night

  and he threw a slider. Bobby Pierce has got famous

  got a wife and a kid and got an incredible car owner, you know

  is loaded very wealthy man him and Mark Martin down there in

  Batesville, AR with their big ass homes overlooking the river.

  So JD races for a living, no doubt, because JD told me that

  one day we're sitting at a bar before the before the Dome and I

  talked about racing for a living and JD goes, you ain't running

  these old dirt cars for a living.

  He's right. I raced a NASCAR for a living.

  So for however I raced in that NASCAR Cup car, that Xfinity

  car, that's the way I made a living.

  So when when I raced a NASCAR for a living, however I finished

  is how I made my money and I got I got a base salary and I also

  got a percentage of the winnings.

  So Bobby Pierce said something on his interview that I liked.

  He said it's hard to pass JD because JD's got this line where

  he runs in high. And it's kind of JD's new line.

  You know, he does it a lot, especially at Eldor.

  So he runs in high and he turns it in the middle and comes down

  and his left sides grab the moisture and he's coming down
