- 0:00Speaker 1: I hope you all have access to Radio from Hell
- 0:04Speaker 1: at X ninety six dot com. Slash live go to
- 0:08Speaker 1: our YouTube channel because you will see Graham, who is
- 0:12Speaker 1: a hairless guinea pig that Maddie from the Humane Society's
- 0:16Speaker 1: brought in for us. He is just amazing looking.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I've had someone say recently that he looks like
- 0:24Speaker 2: a mini hippopotamus, and I feel like that's probably like
- 0:27Speaker 2: the best way.
- 0:27Speaker 3: To describe that.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, or kind of a capybara.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Guinea pigs are actually the closest relatives of capybara's. So
- 0:36Speaker 2: if you've always wished that you could have a pet capybara,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I mean it's like me, Yes, I have.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Never never seen a hairless guinea pig before. Wow, he
- 0:46Speaker 1: is just he's astonishing.
- 0:48Speaker 4: And he's strange looking but cute at the same time.
- 0:52Speaker 1: If that's that's what they say about me, Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 3: He's Yeah, he almost doesn't look real.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00Speaker 5: I posted a little video of him on my Instagram page.
- 1:03Speaker 5: If you can't be watching live right now, go back
- 1:05Speaker 5: and watch that.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Is there a picture of him at the Humane Society website?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, We've got lots of pictures of Graham. You
- 1:12Speaker 2: can check him out at Utah Humane dot org slash adopt.
- 1:16Speaker 2: We call this little guy a skinny pig. He's technically
- 1:19Speaker 2: a hairless skinny pig, but it's kind of a fun
- 1:21Speaker 2: little nickname for him.
- 1:23Speaker 3: What kind of things does he eat?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Oh, Graham loves a snack. He loves banana, he loves apple, lettuce, carrots,
- 1:31Speaker 2: and his favorite is grapes. So he's a healthy eater.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he's two years old. And you can adopt him
- 1:39Speaker 1: for like just twenty five bucks, I think.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, his adoption fee is twenty five dollars. And we'll
- 1:45Speaker 2: also have a little go home bag to get Graham
- 1:48Speaker 2: started in his new home as well.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Now, now, guinea pigs make remarkable noises, and I don't
- 1:53Speaker 1: know if we can yeh, And le's see if we
- 1:55Speaker 1: can get get Graham to make some noise, that little
- 2:06Speaker 1: cooing noise. He's just kind of grunting right.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Well, he's not he's not here for your amusement. He'll
- 2:12Speaker 3: talk when he wants to talk.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Listen to me. Who who.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I think we're just getting today?
- 2:24Speaker 1: You know that there there I noticed there's a restriction. Uh,
- 2:27Speaker 1: if you now you could just adopt him, he could
- 2:31Speaker 1: be a standalone pat You don't have to have another
- 2:34Speaker 1: guinea pig.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You do not have to have another guinea pig. Graham
- 2:37Speaker 2: has lived successfully with other guinea pigs in the past,
- 2:40Speaker 2: but he is kind of a solitary fellow. He would
- 2:43Speaker 2: prefer to have a larger enclosure where he can have
- 2:46Speaker 2: some alone time if he would like to, which I
- 2:48Speaker 2: totally get Graham. I'm right there with you too.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But if if you have another guinea pig and you
- 2:54Speaker 1: think you would be a good companion, it has to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be a male.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Guinea pigs are actually one of the only animals that
- 3:02Speaker 2: we cannot spare neuter at the Humane Society of Utah.
- 3:05Speaker 2: They're just very tiny and you need specialized equipment that
- 3:08Speaker 2: we do not have access to. So if he's going
- 3:11Speaker 2: to go to a home with another guinea pig, they
- 3:12Speaker 2: would either need to be mail or you would need
- 3:14Speaker 2: to contact a full service exotics veterinarian to get Graham neutered,
- 3:19Speaker 2: because as cute as he is, we don't need a
- 3:21Speaker 2: whole bunch of little Graham cracker crumbs running around.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just I just I am astonished at how great he is.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Graham is. He's adoptable.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm betting he'll be gone by the end of the day.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I sure hope. So and surprise, we actually have two
- 3:41Speaker 2: skinny pigs right now. So you get to HSU and
- 3:44Speaker 2: Graham has already found a home. Toad would also love
- 3:47Speaker 2: to go home with you. Yes, Toad.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Toad is Toad hairless.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Toad is also hairless.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Oh my god, did they come in at the same time.
- 3:57Speaker 3: No, I'm not actually sure.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to go to your is Toad on
- 4:04Speaker 1: the website as well.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Toad is on the website. Toad's very cute. Where's Graham
- 4:08Speaker 2: is kind of hippo colored, kind of gray. Toad is
- 4:11Speaker 2: pink and white.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Oh okay, And you know, I'm just watching him there.
- 4:16Speaker 1: He just he's perfectly happy to be held and look
- 4:19Speaker 1: around and just you know, they they're just great.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a very sweet boy. He's kind of a
- 4:25Speaker 2: little cuddler. So if you're looking for a small buddy
- 4:28Speaker 2: who might want to, you know, kind of curl up
- 4:31Speaker 2: under your neck, Graham is there for you.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You're watching TV. Yeah, and they're really I haven't had
- 4:37Speaker 1: a guinea pig, but I've had hamster, a hamster or
- 4:40Speaker 1: two and a rat or two. They're pretty low maintenance really.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Yeah, speaking of that, if people are interested maybe in
- 4:48Speaker 5: adopting Graham, but have never had a guinea pig before,
- 4:50Speaker 5: you guys will help help, oh, instruct them on everything
- 4:54Speaker 5: they need.
- 4:54Speaker 2: We have lots of resources. We can tell you what
- 4:57Speaker 2: you need to get for housing. Like I said, he'll
- 4:59Speaker 2: have a little go bag as well, so you'll have
- 5:01Speaker 2: a little bit of a head start there.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's got his it's got his papers and information about
- 5:06Speaker 1: his family history for genealogy, and it's got pictures of
- 5:10Speaker 1: his mom and dad, so he's not lonely. It's a Graham.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You can adopt Graham from the Utah Humane Society Utah
- 5:19Speaker 1: Humane dot org slash adopt. Will you let us know
- 5:24Speaker 1: as soon as you find out what happens with Graham.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Absolutely hopefully he's going to find home today, right I think? So?
- 5:31Speaker 3: I think we have a pretty good track record. Have
- 5:33Speaker 3: we adopted out yes?
- 5:35Speaker 1: So yeah, so, And we.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Have very kind, generous, wonderful listeners that usually step up
- 5:43Speaker 5: in these situations.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And don't don't forget Toad. You could you could adopt
- 5:46Speaker 1: Toad too.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Now. No, our vet tech sid said that there is
- 5:52Speaker 4: a place that can fix the the hamsters a local.
- 5:56Speaker 4: It's a Mountain West veterinary specialist exotics apartment.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Apparently they could do there.
- 6:03Speaker 4: You got a little money, you can, yeah, if you
- 6:05Speaker 4: if you want to go that that far.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just adorable. I just can't get enough of it.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I know, he's just he's just great.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Do you think, Graham, do you have any more to say?
- 6:21Speaker 3: He's gonna be super chatty after you leave.
- 6:25Speaker 2: He's gonna head butt the microphone.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Okay, he's adorable though, Well, thank you for bringing him in.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Good to see you all too.
- 6:40Speaker 3: It sounds like guinea pig music.

- 6:45Speaker 1: is a guinea pig orchestra, right,
