- 0:59Speaker 4: podcast as we present verse by verse where we study
- 1:04Speaker 4: the word of god verse by verse and apply biblical
- 1:08Speaker 4: truth to everyday life i'm your brother i'm your host
- 1:13Speaker 4: mr his hop and today we're continuing our journey through
- 1:16Speaker 4: the book of jeremiah and we are in chapter 25
- 1:20Speaker 4: we're going to take it from verse 8 to 11
- 1:26Speaker 4: four verses today in our last episode we saw how
- 1:31Speaker 4: God had repeatedly warned Judah to turn away from evil
- 1:36Speaker 4: and to turn to him we saw Jeremiah he had
- 1:41Speaker 4: been delivering God's message for 20 plus years but the
- 1:47Speaker 4: people refused to listen Now, the message takes a serious
- 1:53Speaker 4: turn in today's episode. God announces that judgment is coming
- 1:59Speaker 4: through Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and the land would
- 2:05Speaker 4: be devastated. The people would serve Babylon and the familiar
- 2:12Speaker 4: sounds of everyday life would cease. They would not hear
- 2:16Speaker 4: it anymore. That's why we cannot take for granted even
- 2:21Speaker 4: the small blessings that God gives. So this message reminds
- 2:29Speaker 4: us that God's patience is real, but so is his judgment.
- 2:36Speaker 4: So here's a question for today's episode. What happens when
- 2:40Speaker 4: we keep ignoring the truth God has already made clear?

- 4:49Speaker 4: us focus. Let us meet you in that secret place. Lord,
- 4:53Speaker 4: let us sit at your feet and let us walk
- 4:58Speaker 4: under your anointing, under your blessing. As we seek to
- 5:05Speaker 4: apply your word and to live a life of obedience,
- 5:08Speaker 4: we cancel every assignment of the enemy. No weapon formed
- 5:13Speaker 4: against us shall prosper. I proclaim that over everyone listening
- 5:18Speaker 4: to the podcast, everyone who's followed and supported us. We ask, Lord,
- 5:22Speaker 4: that you will attach a blessing to us. And I
- 5:26Speaker 4: ask this in Jesus' name.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Amen.
- 5:29Speaker 4: All right. Let's do this thing. So, Jeremiah. Jeremiah. chapter
- 5:42Speaker 4: 11 we're gonna pick it up in verse 8 and
- 5:46Speaker 4: i'm coming at you from the new king james says
- 5:50Speaker 4: therefore thus says the lord of hosts because you have
- 5:53Speaker 4: not heard my words let's do verse 92 behold i
- 5:59Speaker 4: will send and take all the familiar uh all the
- 6:05Speaker 4: families of the north says the lord and nebuchadnezzar the
- 6:09Speaker 4: king of babylon my servant and will bring them against
- 6:14Speaker 4: this land against the inhabitants and against these nations all
- 6:19Speaker 4: around and will utterly destroy them and make them an
- 6:25Speaker 4: astonishment a hissing and perpetual desolations.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Alright it looks like you lost another one.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Let me read it again in the King, the old
- 6:49Speaker 4: King James. Therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts, because
- 6:52Speaker 4: ye have not heard my words. Behold, I will send
- 6:57Speaker 4: and take all the families of the north, says the Lord.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and will
- 7:07Speaker 4: bring him against his land and against the inhabitants thereof.
- 7:13Speaker 4: and against all those nations round about and will utterly
- 7:19Speaker 4: destroy them and make them in astonishment and in hissing
- 7:26Speaker 4: and a perpetual desolation. All right, let's do verse 10
- 7:33Speaker 4: and 11 while we're at it. Then we'll come back
- 7:36Speaker 4: and break it all down. Moreover, I will take from
- 7:43Speaker 4: them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness
- 7:47Speaker 4: the voice of bride broom and the voice of the
- 7:50Speaker 4: bride the sound of the millstones in the light of
- 7:55Speaker 4: the lamp and this whole land shall be desolate and
- 8:01Speaker 4: an astonishment and these nations shall serve the king of babylon.
- 8:08Speaker 3: 70 years.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Okay. All right.
- 8:22Speaker 3: All right.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Let's go to verse eight because you have not heard
- 8:26Speaker 4: my words, right? So right here, God identifies the people's
- 8:32Speaker 4: refusal to listen as the reason for the coming judgment.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Judah received repeated warning through Jeremiah and and other prophets
- 8:45Speaker 4: as well. Yet, the people continued in disobedience. Their problem
- 8:51Speaker 4: was not simply a lack of information. They were refusing
- 8:59Speaker 4: to respond to the message God had given them. Now,
- 9:04Speaker 4: there's a Bible verse that says that my people perished
- 9:06Speaker 4: through lack of knowledge, but that was not their issue.
- 9:09Speaker 4: They had the knowledge. They had the information, but still
- 9:14Speaker 4: they chose outright rebellion. Now let's start with those words,
- 9:22Speaker 4: because you have not heard my words. In scripture, hearing
- 9:29Speaker 4: often means more than physically receiving a message. The people
- 9:36Speaker 4: had heard the prophets speaking. They had Not listen in
- 9:41Speaker 4: the sense of accepting and obeying God's instructions. Now, let's
- 9:50Speaker 4: take a second and think about how this should apply
- 9:53Speaker 4: to us today. We can listen to sermons every week.
- 9:59Speaker 4: We can read. devotionals every morning and hear biblical teaching
- 10:05Speaker 4: on the radio or through podcasts. And we can still
- 10:15Speaker 4: refuse to change. And that is dangerous. That's where deception
- 10:22Speaker 4: comes in. We know what the Bible says about forgiveness
- 10:27Speaker 4: while holding on to bitterness. We can know what it
- 10:34Speaker 4: says about honesty while continuing to lie and to lie
- 10:39Speaker 4: to people. We can know what it says about pride
- 10:42Speaker 4: while refusing to admit when we are wrong. The issue
- 10:51Speaker 4: isn't always that we don't know the truth. Sometimes we
- 10:55Speaker 4: know it, but we don't want to submit to it.
- 11:00Speaker 4: That's when we allow our emotions and our feelings to
- 11:05Speaker 4: lead our lives and our decision making instead of the
- 11:10Speaker 4: word of God. Now, that's what makes today's episode a
- 11:16Speaker 4: little uncomfortable. It challenges us. To look beyond how much
- 11:21Speaker 4: scripture we've heard and examine how much we actually obey.
- 11:31Speaker 4: And when we know the truth, we are accountable for
- 11:37Speaker 4: what we know. That's why teachers get a stricter judgment.
- 11:46Speaker 4: So we should always be careful not to use these
- 11:49Speaker 4: verses to assume that every hardship someone experiences is a
- 11:54Speaker 4: punishment from God. Jeremiah is describing a specific judgment against
- 12:00Speaker 4: Judah because of persistent rebellion. The principle for us is
- 12:08Speaker 4: that God's word deserves a response. That's why when we
- 12:15Speaker 4: witness and we tell people about Jesus, we need to
- 12:18Speaker 4: bring them to a response. We need to tell them
- 12:22Speaker 4: that they must repent and submit their lives and turn
- 12:27Speaker 4: from their wicked ways. It's not enough just to know
- 12:30Speaker 4: about Jesus or to hear the good news. They have
- 12:34Speaker 4: to accept the good news, which is Jesus himself. So
- 12:42Speaker 4: do not measure your spiritual growth by how much truth
- 12:45Speaker 4: you've heard. Measure it by how faithfully you're allowing that
- 12:50Speaker 4: truth to shape your life. Verse nine, Nebuchadnezzar, God's instrument
- 13:02Speaker 4: of judgment. Now. God announces that he will bring Nebuchadnezzar
- 13:09Speaker 4: and the armies from the north against Judah and the
- 13:12Speaker 4: surrounding nations. Nebuchadnezzar is called God's servant because God would
- 13:19Speaker 4: use Babylon to carry out his announced judgment. Now, this
- 13:26Speaker 4: designation describes Babylon's role in God's plan. It does not
- 13:32Speaker 4: mean that Nebuchadnezzar was a faithful worshiper of the Lord
- 13:38Speaker 4: or that God approved of everything Babylon did. Now, I
- 13:46Speaker 4: believe it was the book of Joel where when he
- 13:53Speaker 4: announced that he would bring Babylon to judge Judah, he
- 14:02Speaker 4: questioned him And the simple fact, like, why would you
- 14:05Speaker 4: use a nation more wicked than us to judge us? Well,
- 14:11Speaker 4: for one, if all the nations are wicked, like, what
- 14:18Speaker 4: does God have to use? You know what I mean?
- 14:20Speaker 4: I mean, of course, God is not limited. He could,
- 14:23Speaker 4: you know, make a nation out of a rock. You
- 14:26Speaker 4: know what I'm saying? But as God is a righteousness,
- 14:32Speaker 4: God and their righteous judged. Even though he used a
- 14:38Speaker 4: nation more wicked than them, he had a specific purpose
- 14:43Speaker 4: for them, just like he uses Satan, right? Ultimately, Satan
- 14:49Speaker 4: is serving God. Even though Satan fell, God could send
- 14:57Speaker 4: him to judgment and Immediately, even though he was kicked
- 15:01Speaker 4: out of heaven, he's not bound up. He is not
- 15:05Speaker 4: in hell yet because God has a purpose for him. Now,
- 15:15Speaker 4: these verses contain a surprising statement. God calls Nebuchadnezzar the
- 15:21Speaker 4: king of Babylon, my servant. We have to understand it
- 15:27Speaker 4: carefully here, right? He was not being described as a
- 15:32Speaker 4: prophet or a godly Israelite. He was a pagan ruler.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Yet God declared that he would use Babylon as an
- 15:43Speaker 4: instrument of judgment against Judah. This teaches us that sometimes
- 15:55Speaker 4: God through his sovereignty, can accomplish his purposes through people
- 16:01Speaker 4: and events that do not operate according to his revealed
- 16:05Speaker 4: moral standards. It does not mean that every action taken
- 16:12Speaker 4: by a powerful person is approved by God, nor does
- 16:17Speaker 4: it mean we can confidently declare that every modern war, disaster,
- 16:24Speaker 4: or political event is a specific act of divine judgment.
- 16:30Speaker 4: In Jeremiah's situation, God explicitly explains what he is doing.
- 16:36Speaker 4: He would not claim the same certainty about events today
- 16:43Speaker 4: without biblical groundings, right? So the verse also reminds us
- 16:51Speaker 4: that Judah's national identity did not exempt it from accountability.
- 16:58Speaker 4: God's people had received his instruction, but their repeated rebellion
- 17:04Speaker 4: still had consequences. So if you are associated with the
- 17:13Speaker 4: church and ministry, a Christian community, that doesn't mean You
- 17:19Speaker 4: can ignore God's word or assume everything will be fine.
- 17:23Speaker 4: We must not confuse spiritual privilege with permission to be
- 17:29Speaker 4: disobedient to his word. Verse 10, the sound of joy
- 17:39Speaker 4: will cease. God describes a coming devastation through the loss
- 17:52Speaker 4: of ordinary sounds associated with daily life. Just think about
- 17:56Speaker 4: the things we take for granted today. We have the
- 17:59Speaker 4: ability to wake up in the morning and turn on
- 18:02Speaker 4: the radio or we can turn on TV and check
- 18:06Speaker 4: out the news before we leave out the door. We
- 18:08Speaker 4: can hear the children laughing in our house or we
- 18:15Speaker 4: can see people jogging. down the street. We can go
- 18:21Speaker 4: by our favorite coffee shop or donut shop on our
- 18:24Speaker 4: way to work. Right? There's a lot of small things
- 18:28Speaker 4: that we can enjoy. We can just hear the birds chirping. Celebration, weddings,
- 18:35Speaker 4: food preparation. And the light of household lamps would disappear.
- 18:46Speaker 4: So the MGC communicates the scale of the destruction that
- 18:51Speaker 4: would affect homes, families, and the wider community. Now, this
- 18:58Speaker 4: verse makes the judgment personal. God doesn't merely talk about
- 19:03Speaker 4: armies and political power. He describes the everyday sounds of
- 19:09Speaker 4: life that would disappear. The voice of celebration would cease.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Weddings would no longer fill the streets with joy. The
- 19:21Speaker 4: sound of millstone grinding grain would stop. The light of
- 19:28Speaker 4: the candle would go out. It would be complete darkness.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Think about what those images represent. Think about family reunions.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I got one coming up soon, right? Family gatherings and
- 19:46Speaker 4: food being prepared, homes being occupied in carrying on with
- 19:54Speaker 4: ordinary life. War and destruction would interrupt all of this.
- 20:04Speaker 4: That's why we need to be thankful and we need
- 20:07Speaker 4: to keep our nation in prayer. We had a taste
- 20:14Speaker 4: of this during 9-11, but we haven't had an all
- 20:20Speaker 4: out war on our soil against our country. Now, sometimes
- 20:27Speaker 4: when we read the Old Testament, we focus so much
- 20:31Speaker 4: on kings and nations that we forget ordinary people were
- 20:35Speaker 4: affected also. Behind the historical events were parents, children, employees, workers, neighbors,
- 20:47Speaker 4: and families whose lives were turned upside down. So this
- 20:57Speaker 4: should remind us not to treat God's warnings carelessly. And
- 21:06Speaker 4: it also should remind us that choices have consequences. When
- 21:10Speaker 4: leaders make destructive decisions, communities can suffer when people repeatedly
- 21:17Speaker 4: reject what is right. The damage can spread far beyond
- 21:23Speaker 4: the individual making the choices. And we should also recognize
- 21:29Speaker 4: the contrast between outward celebration and inward faithfulness. A society
- 21:35Speaker 4: may appear prosperous and busy while serious moral spiritual problems
- 21:43Speaker 4: are ignored. So this is not a call to fear
- 21:51Speaker 4: every difficult event. It's a call to take truth, justice, obedience,
- 21:56Speaker 4: and responsibility seriously. Never assume that because life looks normal
- 22:05Speaker 4: today that we can ignore the choices that shape tomorrow.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Verse 11, 70 years of Babylon rule. So God declares
- 22:25Speaker 4: that the land would become desolate in the nations which
- 22:28Speaker 4: serve Babylon for 70 years. years. This period makes a
- 22:33Speaker 4: major chapter in Judah's history, demonstrating the seriousness of the
- 22:44Speaker 4: announced judgment while setting a defined period of Babylonian dominance.
- 22:53Speaker 4: The prophecy later becomes important in understanding the hope of
- 22:58Speaker 4: restoration described in Jeremiah in and the events surrounding the
- 23:03Speaker 4: return of the exiles. Now, these are major events in
- 23:10Speaker 4: the history of the nation. So we come to the
- 23:16Speaker 4: 70 years. God tells Jeremiah that the land would be
- 23:20Speaker 4: desolate and the nations would serve the king of Babylon
- 23:24Speaker 4: for 70 years. This was not a minor setback right
- 23:32Speaker 4: here Judah would experience the consequences of its long standing
- 23:38Speaker 4: rebellion and Babylon would dominate the region now the 70
- 23:47Speaker 4: years were significant in the Babylonian account of the exiles
- 23:53Speaker 4: because Jeremiah later refers to the period in chapter 29
- 24:00Speaker 4: Daniel 9 and 2 records Daniel reflecting on Jeremiah's prophecy
- 24:06Speaker 4: as the period of desolation approached the end of that period.
- 24:13Speaker 4: He was able to know that the judgment in the
- 24:20Speaker 4: exile would soon end because he read faithfully the prophets.
- 24:28Speaker 4: And no doubt he read the book of Jeremiah. It's
- 24:33Speaker 4: important because God's warnings and his promises must both be
- 24:37Speaker 4: taken seriously. Judah could not simply ignore the warnings and
- 24:43Speaker 4: expect no consequences. But the 70 year period also placed
- 24:51Speaker 4: a boundary around Babylon's dominance in God's announced plan. For us,
- 24:57Speaker 4: the lesson is not that every painful season would last
- 25:01Speaker 4: a predicted number of years. We should take the 70
- 25:05Speaker 4: years and apply them as a timetable for our personal
- 25:08Speaker 4: struggles is not that we should apply the 70 years
- 25:24Speaker 4: to us if we're going through a difficult time, right?
- 25:28Speaker 4: Some of us are not even that old or who
- 25:31Speaker 4: knows if we will live to be 70 years, but
- 25:35Speaker 4: instead we learn that our choices matter. God's word is
- 25:39Speaker 4: trustworthy and human power is not ultimate. Babylon was powerful,
- 25:48Speaker 4: but it was not sovereign over history. the Lord remained sovereign.
- 25:58Speaker 4: The consequences of disobedience can be serious, but no earthly
- 26:05Speaker 4: power is greater than God. Also, concerning the 70-year period,
- 26:15Speaker 4: God commanded the nation of Israel to have a Sabbath.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Every seven years, they were supposed to allow the land
- 26:25Speaker 4: to rest. Now, when they would plow the land and
- 26:29Speaker 4: till the land and work the land, there's a principle
- 26:34Speaker 4: to where if you just allow the land to rest
- 26:38Speaker 4: on the seventh year, the land would become even more,
- 26:42Speaker 4: what word am I looking for? Profitable or there would
- 26:49Speaker 4: be more of an abundant harvest. There's just a principle
- 26:54Speaker 4: of allowing it to rest. Remember, God wanted us as
- 27:00Speaker 4: men to rest every seventh day of the week, the
- 27:05Speaker 4: Sabbath day. Six days we would work, the seventh day
- 27:10Speaker 4: we would rest. And so there is a principle of that. Now,
- 27:15Speaker 4: the nation ignored, I believe it was the year of Jubilee.
- 27:23Speaker 4: And it's history. And so it calculated to 70 years
- 27:29Speaker 4: that they did not allow the Lord to rest. I mean,
- 27:33Speaker 4: the land to rest. And so the Lord said, you
- 27:36Speaker 4: know what? The land is going to get its Sabbath.
- 27:41Speaker 4: It owed the land 70 years. And so it doesn't
- 27:46Speaker 4: pay the gift. God, God is going to get his
- 27:49Speaker 4: due one way or another. I know times that when
- 27:54Speaker 4: I was struggling financially, that I withheld the tithes and
- 28:00Speaker 4: then some would break or some would come up and
- 28:03Speaker 4: then I would end up spending the money somewhere else
- 28:08Speaker 4: other than just being faithful to my tithes. And so
- 28:13Speaker 4: this is something that I've struggled with. You know, I'll
- 28:16Speaker 4: be faithful for a while. Then all of a sudden
- 28:19Speaker 4: something came up. And it's been a hard lesson for me.
- 28:22Speaker 4: So keep me in prayer. Sometimes, you know, taking care
- 28:27Speaker 4: of a family and things happening now. I know there's
- 28:31Speaker 4: different controversies about paying tithes and we're not going to
- 28:35Speaker 4: get into it. Some people think it was an Old
- 28:37Speaker 4: Testament thing and we don't have to pay in the
- 28:39Speaker 4: New Testament. But remember, Jesus was in the temple and
- 28:45Speaker 4: he saw God. they're watching their giving. And he said
- 28:49Speaker 4: that the widow woman gave more than everyone else. And
- 28:52Speaker 4: so giving is, was important to Jesus. He didn't say
- 28:56Speaker 4: stop the giving because we don't do it no more.
- 28:59Speaker 4: He looked at it and he made a point. And
- 29:06Speaker 4: he spoke about money a lot. And so giving is
- 29:10Speaker 4: a blessing. It's a biblical principle that, And so I
- 29:15Speaker 4: believe that we will be better off paying our tithes
- 29:20Speaker 4: and offering and giving. It's just a personal struggle that
- 29:25Speaker 4: I've had through the years of not being as consistent
- 29:30Speaker 4: as I should be. So keep me in prayer. Amen.
- 29:36Speaker 4: So the big lesson today is don't ignore God. God's warnings, right?
- 29:41Speaker 4: Hearing God's word is not the same as obeying it.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Judah had repeated warnings, but the people refused to respond.
- 29:54Speaker 4: We must examine whether we are putting scripture into practice
- 29:58Speaker 4: or merely becoming familiar with its words. Number two, God
- 30:05Speaker 4: holds people accountable. Judas history reminds us that spiritual privilege
- 30:13Speaker 4: does not give anyone permission to reject God's truth. Our
- 30:18Speaker 4: responsibility is to walk humbly and take correction seriously. Point
- 30:26Speaker 4: number three, God's sovereignty extends beyond the powers of this world.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Babylon became the instrument of judgment in this historical setting,
- 30:38Speaker 4: but his power was not ultimate. God remains in control
- 30:44Speaker 4: of the larger story. The main takeaway is simple. Don't
- 30:50Speaker 4: wait until the consequences of stubbornness become overwhelming before you
- 30:56Speaker 4: respond to God's truth. When scripture exposes something in your life, listen.
- 31:07Speaker 4: When you recognize that you've been wrong, repent. When you
- 31:13Speaker 4: need to make a change, take the next faithful step. Amen.
- 31:24Speaker 4: as I've heard it before, either turn or burn. We
- 31:29Speaker 4: need to constantly examine ourselves to see whether or not
- 31:37Speaker 4: we are in the faith. All right, let's take a break, beloved.
- 31:43Speaker 2: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 31:47Speaker 2: is the HizHop Radio Show.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Ahem. Oh, my bad.
- 31:55Speaker 4: It's Zaha, man. So check me out.
- 31:57Speaker 3: As soon as I hit this space bar, the song
- 31:59Speaker 3: starts immediately.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Y'all ready?
- 32:02Speaker 4: Say hello.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Hello. These days I'm way more bold. I've been saying
- 32:09Speaker 3: way more boundaries. A lot of people stuck at the border.
- 32:11Speaker 3: I was in a rut when they found me. I
- 32:13Speaker 3: ain't ask for nothing, not a quarter. I know my
- 32:15Speaker 3: worth like a bounty. All my life I tried to
- 32:16Speaker 3: be supportive. Had to switch roles, Robert Downey. I ain't
- 32:19Speaker 3: trying to be a Mighty Morpher. Power range over 9,000.
- 32:21Speaker 3: School kids used to give me torture. Daddy used to
- 32:23Speaker 3: bring mom flowers. Used to take pictures and enjoy. Grandma
- 32:26Speaker 3: used to be around. I've been embracing getting older. I
- 32:31Speaker 3: got more layers than an organ. Now the cake getting
- 32:33Speaker 3: way too high. That's a greater risk of falling over.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Must be something in the wine. Can Jesus turn it
- 32:38Speaker 3: into soda? I'm on my business. I ain't social. Finally
- 32:40Speaker 3: learned to keep a smile over. I done been counted
- 32:42Speaker 3: out so many times. I don't even know the total.
- 32:44Speaker 3: I was still there when I was local. Rapper, but
- 32:46Speaker 3: I like to keep it self. I've never been afraid
- 32:48Speaker 3: to let it sing. Throw some auto-tune on my vocals. Like, ooh, ooh.
- 32:53Speaker 3: My soul is made of steel My spirit.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Can't be killed, killed, killed, killed, killed.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Killed, killed Okay, I'm living in this world Ain't mad because.
- 33:01Speaker 4: It's real, real, real, real, real, real Hold.
- 33:04Speaker 3: On, some things you just can't fake Some swears you
- 33:06Speaker 3: just can't take That's way too fast, now watch them
- 33:09Speaker 3: turn Bound to hit them brakes Don't comment with no
- 33:11Speaker 3: fake chickens I'm frosted like them flakes, I'm great Hold on,
- 33:14Speaker 3: cool These days, I'm way more patient. Everything comes in
- 33:18Speaker 3: due time. And TikTok, learn to embrace it. Might as
- 33:20Speaker 3: well create and stop crying. You depend on praise, validation.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I've been giving praise to something higher. What's the biggest
- 33:25Speaker 3: motive of a hater? Deepest root of all of their desires.
- 33:27Speaker 3: The ending, the answer is attention. Your participation is required.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Welcome to the show, Brandon Serkis. I don't learn from
- 33:32Speaker 3: David in the live. Used to want to be the
- 33:34Speaker 3: bigger person. Slingshot, pop my style. Out the loop, I've
- 33:39Speaker 3: been staying focused. Other people's business doesn't pay me. Heard
- 33:41Speaker 3: it got some kids who holla toast. Cover up, your
- 33:43Speaker 3: mouth is getting crazy. Ain't nobody come to see you, whoa.
- 33:45Speaker 3: This temptation, gotta fight it daily. Know it all, so
- 33:48Speaker 3: you'll probably notice. If not, I gladly demonstrate it. Cause
- 33:50Speaker 3: I done fell and rose by some times. Called that
- 33:52Speaker 3: a Tom Brady. They done gave those nippers to the
- 33:54Speaker 3: fat ladies.
- 33:54Speaker 2: So, nah, it ain't over.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I don't believe in superstitions.
- 33:57Speaker 4: I got them scared, hopeless, pocus. Like, ooh. My soul
- 34:02Speaker 4: is made of steel.
- 34:03Speaker 3: My spirit can't be killed, killed, killed, killed, killed, killed, killed. Okay.
- 34:07Speaker 3: I'm living in this world. They mad because it's real, real, real, real, real, real.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Hold on. Some things you just can't fake. Some swears
- 34:15Speaker 3: you just can't take. That's way too fast.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Now watch them turn.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Bound to hit them brakes. Don't comment with no face.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Shake hands on frogs to light them flakes.
- 34:21Speaker 4: I'm great.
- 34:23Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 34:27Speaker 2: is the His Hop Radio Show.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Yo yo we are back from the break that's our
- 34:49Speaker 4: brother aha gazelle and now these artists they have to
- 34:53Speaker 4: prove that they're not using ai to record their songs
- 34:57Speaker 4: that's why you heard in the beginning he said oh
- 35:00Speaker 4: yeah as soon as i hit this space bar this
- 35:02Speaker 4: song is going to continue So we're living in an
- 35:05Speaker 4: age where artists have to prove that it's them on
- 35:10Speaker 4: the record. All right, y'all. Well, I'm going to also
- 35:17Speaker 4: give a huge shout out to those in the live chat.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Shout out to our brother Zone 3 showing up. Let
- 35:23Speaker 4: us know that he is in the replay. My brother Corinth.
- 35:29Speaker 4: My brother who comes in and he bombs us with comments.
- 35:34Speaker 4: He's like one of those stealth bombers, right? You don't
- 35:36Speaker 4: know he's there. And all of a sudden, boom, boom, boom.
- 35:39Speaker 4: You got 10 comments coming out of him in the
- 35:41Speaker 4: live chat. We appreciate you, brother, and everyone else. If
- 35:44Speaker 4: you're new to the podcast, make sure you download the
- 35:48Speaker 4: His Hot Radio app. Go to the homepage to the
- 35:52Speaker 4: top left menu. Hit that drop down and scroll down
- 35:56Speaker 4: until you see live chat. Hit the register. Get registered
- 36:00Speaker 4: and go down to the community tab. And also get
- 36:03Speaker 4: registered to that as well. And on the podcast, we
- 36:09Speaker 4: believe in accountability. That's why we have the accountability partner segment.
- 36:16Speaker 4: We need to have people that can speak into our lives,
- 36:18Speaker 4: people that can speak truth, people that can hear and
- 36:23Speaker 4: understand the Holy Spirit and speak the word in us.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Especially when there's things that need to be corrected. Even
- 36:31Speaker 4: in today's episode, we can understand how judgment can happen
- 36:37Speaker 4: when we ignore God's moral standards for our lives. God
- 36:43Speaker 4: desires obedience. We have to live, even though we might
- 36:46Speaker 4: have been delivered out of sin, we still have to
- 36:50Speaker 4: be sanctified. Sanctification cost us, right? in order to maintain
- 36:57Speaker 4: our relationship with the Lord. The Bible says without holiness,
- 37:02Speaker 4: no one will see the Lord. Amen. And so that's
- 37:07Speaker 4: what the accountability segment helps us with because the Bible
- 37:11Speaker 4: tells us a narrow road is the road that leads
- 37:14Speaker 4: to life. And there's only a few who find it.
- 37:18Speaker 4: The broad road is a road that leads to destruction.
- 37:21Speaker 4: If we want to be prideful and arrogant and all
- 37:23Speaker 4: these things, That is where destruction happens. So if you
- 37:31Speaker 4: don't have an accountability partner, you can connect with us
- 37:35Speaker 4: here on the podcast. You can go to the top
- 37:39Speaker 4: left menu, hit this time, go to podcast, click on
- 37:44Speaker 4: my podcast, his hot radio. And then what you want
- 37:49Speaker 4: to do is. Scroll down until you see the accountability
- 37:54Speaker 4: partner link. Go through the questions. You can request a
- 37:57Speaker 4: follow up. And also, we would love to get you
- 38:00Speaker 4: on a podcast and help you with your walk. If
- 38:04Speaker 4: you would like to share and explain. There's a setting sin.
- 38:11Speaker 4: It might be drugs, alcohol, lying, anything like that. And
- 38:15Speaker 4: as we help each other grow. You could be a
- 38:20Speaker 4: blessing and you can touch others as well. So, and
- 38:28Speaker 4: we also give you challenges on the podcast. So if
- 38:32Speaker 4: you do have a partner, accountability partner, go to them,
- 38:36Speaker 4: call them, text them, email, and go over these questions
- 38:41Speaker 4: with them. And you can also find these questions on
- 38:44Speaker 4: the app in the community section below. Ask them, what
- 38:49Speaker 4: biblical truth have I heard repeatedly but struggle to put
- 38:53Speaker 4: into practice? That is a good one to go over.
- 38:59Speaker 4: What excuse have I been using to avoid making that change?
- 39:07Speaker 4: And the last one, what is one specific action I
- 39:11Speaker 4: can take this week to bring my behavior into alignment
- 39:16Speaker 4: with God's word? Amen. Those are good. I pray and
- 39:23Speaker 4: hope that you do have someone that can help you
- 39:28Speaker 4: with this process. Amen. Also, we want to remind you
- 39:39Speaker 4: that His Heart Radio is a monitored and a reporting
- 39:42Speaker 4: radio station. We don't just play music over the Internet.
- 39:47Speaker 4: We do have our own chart and we report to
- 39:52Speaker 4: three different charts. If you want to get that exposure,

- 40:04Speaker 4: submit your music to our website, hishotnation.com. Go to the

- 40:24Speaker 4: help you achieve your goals. I did say three charts,
- 40:30Speaker 4: but one of the charts, the BDS chart, or should
- 40:34Speaker 4: I say the media based chart? We're having some issues
- 40:38Speaker 4: with that one. So just to let you know, throw
- 40:41Speaker 4: it out there. Now it is time for the trivia challenge.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Shout out to Zone 3. He has been our trivia champion,
- 40:53Speaker 4: our reigning champ for almost this whole year. We've had
- 40:57Speaker 4: a couple of challengers who tried to step up, but
- 41:01Speaker 4: they ended up falling off. I don't know. I guess
- 41:05Speaker 4: my brother Zone just scares them. You know, he gets
- 41:07Speaker 4: a little competition and knocks them out. So this is
- 41:10Speaker 4: how it works. The first one. To answer the question,
- 41:16Speaker 4: you get bragging rights. You are the trivia champion for today. Also,
- 41:21Speaker 4: we have a lot of prizes and things like that
- 41:24Speaker 4: that we would like to give to those who participate.
- 41:28Speaker 4: And so you never know what you can win. So,
- 41:35Speaker 4: here's today's question. Be the first to answer and you'll
- 41:39Speaker 4: get it. Try to beat Zone 3.
- 41:41Speaker 3: What?
- 41:44Speaker 4: What? is one warning actually okay I got the question
- 41:58Speaker 4: wrong but here's the question right here how many years
- 42:05Speaker 4: would the nation serve the king of Babylon let me
- 42:11Speaker 4: ask it again how many years Will the nations serve
- 42:18Speaker 4: the king of Babylon? Be the first to answer. Be
- 42:24Speaker 4: the trivia champ for today. All right, it's time for
- 42:29Speaker 4: our community shout out. That's where we share community love,
- 42:33Speaker 4: the things that we are doing in the community as

- 43:09Speaker 4: on in our community. We love to make people aware
- 43:12Speaker 4: of that. And also our whereabouts and things we're doing.
- 43:18Speaker 4: We were just invited to come and support another business mixer.
- 43:23Speaker 4: The date that we will be there will be November
- 43:29Speaker 4: the 7th. We will come and DJ and we will
- 43:32Speaker 4: be there to also do some interviews. This is in
- 43:37Speaker 4: addition to the one we are already a part of,
- 43:39Speaker 4: the LVB & M Mixer at the College of Reno.
- 43:45Speaker 4: here in Vegas it was at the Santa Fe Hotel
- 43:48Speaker 4: it was in Summerlin it kind of moved around shout
- 43:52Speaker 4: out to Paula Jackson and also we have an event
- 43:59Speaker 4: with Metro coming up this weekend actually this Saturday where
- 44:03Speaker 4: we're going to spin our tunes we're going to try

- 44:53Speaker 4: Christian club in 2012, a 5,000 square foot warehouse, and
- 44:58Speaker 4: we turned it into a Christian hip hop nightclub called
- 45:01Speaker 4: His Hop Las Vegas. You can look us up on
- 45:04Speaker 4: the internet. We have been on the news, the newspaper,
- 45:07Speaker 4: and God has blessed us. to bless our community. We're

- 45:23Speaker 4: and grant writers, those who would apply for those grants.

- 46:03Speaker 4: We would love to see you in the spot. And
- 46:08Speaker 4: the great thing about Your donation is that it is
- 46:11Speaker 4: a tax write-off. Sometimes people are looking for write-offs. This
- 46:23Speaker 4: is a legitimate one. This could be the difference between
- 46:26Speaker 4: owning taxes and having the IRS owe you, right? It's
- 46:32Speaker 4: all about those write-offs and your dependents and all that
- 46:36Speaker 4: good stuff. I'm not a tax professional, but I know
- 46:41Speaker 4: that this has been my experience. All right, beloved, that
- 46:48Speaker 4: is it for me today. But I do have some
- 46:52Speaker 4: closing remarks. Now, the people have been warned. They had
- 47:01Speaker 4: opportunities to turn away from evil and return to the Lord.
- 47:06Speaker 4: But they continued in rebellion. and the consequences were devastating.
- 47:14Speaker 4: We should not read these passages as a reason to
- 47:18Speaker 4: live in constant fear. We should read it as a
- 47:23Speaker 4: call to take God's truth seriously. Don't confuse God's patience
- 47:31Speaker 4: with approval of everything you do. Don't assume that hearing
- 47:37Speaker 4: the word means you have Obeyed it. Don't allow pride
- 47:43Speaker 4: to keep you from making a choice. You know, is necessary.
- 47:52Speaker 4: God's word is meant to guide us, correct us and
- 47:56Speaker 4: lead us towards faithful living. If this passage has exposed
- 48:02Speaker 4: something in your heart, take it serious. Pray, seek wise
- 48:07Speaker 4: biblical counsel. We're needed and take a practical step towards obedience.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Thank you, beloved, for joining me for another episode of
- 48:18Speaker 4: the His Heart Radio podcast presents verse by verse, continue
- 48:23Speaker 4: to study the word, keep growing in Christ and encourage
- 48:29Speaker 4: someone else to do the same. Tell them about this podcast.
- 48:36Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure somebody, you know, needs to hear what
- 48:42Speaker 4: the Lord has said in this episode. So don't hold back. Like, subscribe, follow,
- 48:49Speaker 4: download the app and visit our website. We need that
- 48:53Speaker 4: support online as well. Help us with the algorithm. Help
- 48:58Speaker 4: us grow. We're trying to get our YouTube page up
- 49:01Speaker 4: to a thousand subscribers. We are barely over 400. So
- 49:04Speaker 4: your help would be appreciated and remember it's not about
- 49:12Speaker 4: us it's all about the Christ in us God bless.
- 49:28Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 49:32Speaker 2: is the His Hop Radio Show.
