- 0:21Speaker 1: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is

- 0:27Speaker 1: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly

- 0:43Speaker 2: I don't I'm not the one two knock anyone. You know,
- 0:49Speaker 2: whatever you want to do and like, go for it.
- 0:52Speaker 2: You know, I just can't be stopped at whatever I
- 0:56Speaker 2: put my mind to do, I can do.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Yeah. You know.
- 0:59Speaker 2: You know when I was walking to New York as
- 1:01Speaker 2: a kid, did ever when I was young, did every
- 1:04Speaker 2: think that I was going to own a skyscraperag?
- 1:07Speaker 3: I didn't think about it. But now I do own nine.
- 1:11Speaker 3: That's incredible.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Can you talk to us about maybe one of the
- 1:14Speaker 4: biggest lessons you've learned from Leonard lb one, you may
- 1:19Speaker 4: have taken away from Vince McMahon and then someone.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Else who's a mentor to you that's had the impact
- 1:24Speaker 2: in your career. Well, they say, well, they say you
- 1:26Speaker 2: are you are the five people that you surround yourself with.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's who you are. Yes, So of course i'm you know,
- 1:36Speaker 2: Roy Disney is one of my friends who owns what
- 1:39Speaker 2: Disney Wild, Robert Smith, the richest Black men in America, Yes,
- 1:46Speaker 2: and the list, Mark Holliday from sl Green, Al Hayman,
- 1:52Speaker 2: all these guys are It's not just it's not just
- 1:55Speaker 2: the money. Yeah, you know, I many I've dealt with million,
- 1:59Speaker 2: millions and billions of dollars.
- 2:02Speaker 3: It's about building relationships. Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Sady talk about that and he always mentioned that.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It's all about it's not really the money because you
- 2:09Speaker 2: can make a lot of money, but if you don't
- 2:10Speaker 2: have a game plan, it's.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Gonna be you.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You you're rich, you're not wealthy because rich is when
- 2:16Speaker 2: you got it for a short period of time.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Wealth it's long term.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So one of the things that we've noticed, obviously you
- 2:24Speaker 1: said you were in Dubai and Abu Dhabi we saw
- 2:27Speaker 1: you there is that you're you're doing business deals like
- 2:30Speaker 1: I see the exhibition fights, but I'm like, he's just
- 2:32Speaker 1: doing that.
- 2:33Speaker 3: But there's something bigger going on obviously. I think it's
- 2:35Speaker 3: the deals.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And so when you're looking at what are you looking
- 2:38Speaker 1: for when deals come across to you, right, Because I'm
- 2:41Speaker 1: sure there's probably a team that says, all right, boyd
- 2:43Speaker 1: we have this.
- 2:44Speaker 3: What are you looking forward to?
- 2:46Speaker 5: Say?
- 2:46Speaker 1: All right, yes, we're going with this because I mean
- 2:48Speaker 1: not skytscreen, but that's that's pretty impressive.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Man.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well, well, I don't want to be the only smart
- 2:53Speaker 2: person with my team, so I got to choose.
- 2:55Speaker 3: It's chess.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's real life, real life chess out here in the world.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So I want to make sure that you know, I
- 3:04Speaker 2: got smart individuals that that's around me. That's gonna tell
- 3:09Speaker 2: me don't do that's not smart. You know, I've been
- 3:13Speaker 2: working on buying an NBA team outright. You know, there's
- 3:17Speaker 2: a difference between clapping up for that.
- 3:20Speaker 3: We look.
- 3:24Speaker 2: You know me and actually one of my other other
- 3:26Speaker 2: business partners, Brent Johnson, he's here. So we've been working
- 3:31Speaker 2: on the NBA team for a while now. You know,
- 3:33Speaker 2: it's kind of it's rough Vegas. It could be the
- 3:38Speaker 2: Vegas franchise, it could be the Seattle franchise, or I
- 3:42Speaker 2: could be buying a franchise that's already up and running.
- 3:46Speaker 2: So the first offer we offer them a little bit
- 3:50Speaker 2: over two billion for majority ownership.
- 3:54Speaker 3: We got. Do I have it? Absolutely? I have it.
- 3:57Speaker 3: But clapping up for that, of course, I can kidding me.
- 4:05Speaker 2: But it didn't happen. It didn't happen overnight. It didn't
- 4:08Speaker 2: happen overnight. It's a lot. It's a lot when you
- 4:14Speaker 2: have so many different businesses all around, all around the world.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Actually, it's a lot. It's not easy.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I just followed out really quick because I wonder when
- 4:25Speaker 1: you walk into a business deal, right, are they respecting
- 4:28Speaker 1: you as Foyd made, whether the businessman, or are they
- 4:30Speaker 1: looking at you as Foyd made? Whether the Hall of
- 4:33Speaker 1: Fame boxer at the greatest all the time.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Exactly right? TD? What is that like for you? Well?
- 4:40Speaker 2: I had to be I had to be somewhat intelligent
- 4:44Speaker 2: and smart to be able to make one hundred million
- 4:48Speaker 2: and three hundred million. And actually, at my age now,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I'm still going out there picking up twenty and thirty
- 4:55Speaker 2: million for fifteen minutes in twenty minutes, I'm a.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Greater's true, So clop it up. So it's obvious.
- 5:04Speaker 3: It's obvious that.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm the smart one if I'm able to make the
- 5:09Speaker 2: people pay and I'm beating YouTubers.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Good point.
- 5:16Speaker 6: So let me let me ask you this. This is
- 5:17Speaker 6: one thing that I always admired about you. I don't
- 5:19Speaker 6: think you got enough credit for it because you had.
- 5:21Speaker 6: We always see Lebron always getting credit for working with
- 5:23Speaker 6: his team all black young men. But when I look
- 5:26Speaker 6: at you and you see Al Hayman and Leonard llerv
- 5:29Speaker 6: and your circle is all black as far as on
- 5:33Speaker 6: that business side, on the boxing, like the forefront people.
- 5:36Speaker 6: So you were early on that and was that important
- 5:40Speaker 6: to you or you just that just kind of happened
- 5:41Speaker 6: that way.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Well, of course, I'm gonna always I'm gonna always love
- 5:46Speaker 2: my people first, always. But in business, you know, I
- 5:58Speaker 2: gotta think about my family first. I got to think
- 6:01Speaker 2: about my grandson, my daughter, my two daughters, my two sons.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I gotta think about them first.
- 6:08Speaker 2: So when it comes to business, it's not no, it's
- 6:13Speaker 2: not no certain color. I work with everybody. It's just
- 6:17Speaker 2: like that, But far as my team, it just ended up.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You know my team, I.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Have a real diverse team.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You know, we got people from all walks of life
- 6:27Speaker 2: that's on my team that I that I'm with every
- 6:30Speaker 2: day and I love my team. But when it comes
- 6:33Speaker 2: to business, I do business with everyone, honestly speaking.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Quick go ahead, A quick question for you. Talked about
- 6:41Speaker 4: using the hatest fuel and it's something that I struggle with,
- 6:45Speaker 4: but I also use it as fuel. At what point
- 6:47Speaker 4: does using negative energy become detrimental to your life or
- 6:53Speaker 4: do you think it's because we grow with childhood traumas
- 6:56Speaker 4: that makes us activate a higher gear when we hear
- 6:59Speaker 4: something negative towards us.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Well, they say, if you want to.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Going back and forth, and I really want to apologize
- 7:11Speaker 2: because a lot of the time I go back, and
- 7:12Speaker 2: you know, I never I was always on the internet.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I was always the reaction. I wasn't the action because
- 7:19Speaker 2: I never, like I said before, I love my people first.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm never gonna you know, but sometimes you can shoot
- 7:25Speaker 2: at me. You can shoot at me and I really
- 7:27Speaker 2: won't say nothing. But you know, I got to shoot back.
- 7:30Speaker 2: You know, I got to teach my children and my
- 7:32Speaker 2: family how to defend themselves, you know, not just in
- 7:36Speaker 2: the ring. So a lot of times when people are
- 7:40Speaker 2: people don't really like when you are.
- 7:42Speaker 3: When you continue to be successful. You know, it's even
- 7:46Speaker 3: like a woman.
- 7:47Speaker 2: A woman can be in your life and she's no
- 7:49Speaker 2: longer in your life, and she can think that, you know,
- 7:52Speaker 2: the grass is green. On the other side, she thinks
- 7:55Speaker 2: that you're not going to continue to be successful.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Shout out to my answers.
- 8:01Speaker 4: You could have been here with me and Floyd's Truyn
- 8:03Speaker 4: shot but shot ob.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Why and it's and it's nothing. Networks both ways. So
- 8:10Speaker 2: I don't want to be in this room. I don't
- 8:12Speaker 2: want to be biased. It works both ways. You know
- 8:15Speaker 2: a lot of times a man like me, I've never
- 8:17Speaker 2: been with a woman. And when we went our separate ways,
- 8:20Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I don't want to see her
- 8:21Speaker 2: be successful. More power to you. That's not gonna that's
- 8:25Speaker 2: not going to change everything that I got. That's not
- 8:27Speaker 2: going to change my drive and my desire, uh to
- 8:30Speaker 2: be great at whatever I'm you know, to be great
- 8:33Speaker 2: at whatever investments I'm trying to do, or whatever I'm
- 8:35Speaker 2: trying to go for in life.
- 8:38Speaker 6: How do you deal with you know, managing people because
- 8:42Speaker 6: you obviously, you know, have many weather promotions, and you know,
- 8:47Speaker 6: you set the precedent for boxes, you know, becoming their
- 8:51Speaker 6: own boss. And you have one of the greatest young
- 8:54Speaker 6: talents on your stable, Javontae Davis. But I've seen recent
- 8:59Speaker 6: I've seen recently that he's actually looking to leave. So
- 9:03Speaker 6: how does that relationship work? How like? How does that work?
- 9:06Speaker 6: As far as you know, grooming somebody, getting him to
- 9:09Speaker 6: a point and then having some differences.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I've always been a gentleman. I've always been respectful, and
- 9:18Speaker 2: there's nothing like taking a kid that come from the
- 9:21Speaker 2: same background as you and helping them and put them
- 9:25Speaker 2: in a position to become a multi man.
- 9:27Speaker 3: There. You know, you meet a kid, he just he
- 9:31Speaker 3: come up to you for autograph, You sign an autograph
- 9:33Speaker 3: for him.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Then I tell him, in a few years when you
- 9:36Speaker 2: get older, I'm gonna work with you and I'm gonna
- 9:38Speaker 2: make your world champion.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Someday.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Years later, I started working with him, helped him, pushed
- 9:46Speaker 2: them to be great. And if he feels like you know,
- 9:50Speaker 2: his wings, he's grew wings where he can fly become
- 9:53Speaker 2: his own boss.
- 9:54Speaker 7: More power to him from your standpoint, because that's not
- 10:01Speaker 7: going to I didn't get into the sport of boxing,
- 10:05Speaker 7: you know, you know after I retired to not want
- 10:09Speaker 7: to see fighters grown.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I wonder if I can, if he feels like he
- 10:15Speaker 2: can surpass Floyd Maywether or beat the next Floyd Mayweather.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm here to push you go for it.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 1: From that, my graduates from my school being false bad
- 10:31Speaker 1: drop drop or Mike.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Drop backdrop, Ernest, what's up?
