- 0:00Speaker 1: The Bench.
- 0:00Speaker 2: We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Plays get broken down and science gets denied The Bench
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 2: Kine Studios.
- 0:54Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in O t B. Hour number
- 0:56Speaker 4: two of the Show. Tuesday Show is brought to you
- 0:59Speaker 4: by Commutnet Steal again. Glad to have them back on
- 1:02Speaker 4: the squad. We had to kick T Bob to Chicago
- 1:04Speaker 4: to get them back, but hey, we got to do
- 1:06Speaker 4: what we got to do to have community to steal
- 1:08Speaker 4: back on the squad. Saints are making moves all over
- 1:12Speaker 4: the place. Also, this is from Kat Arrell. Shout out
- 1:17Speaker 4: el Shugret. The Nuanced Saints have restructured Eric McCoy's contract,
- 1:23Speaker 4: adding a voyage year, so his eight point seven million
- 1:25Speaker 4: dollar base salary plus his five hundred thousand dollars roster
- 1:29Speaker 4: bonus was converted into a signing bonus, which turns like
- 1:33Speaker 4: Flynn get sometimes save them seven point three million dollars
- 1:37Speaker 4: against the twenty twenty six salary cap. What I do
- 1:41Speaker 4: you got? You got one of those one time, and
- 1:43Speaker 4: I never did so I was better the other day.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Ever got like thirteen years ago yeah, so still really
- 1:51Speaker 4: good money, you know. Wow, like and you got it
- 1:53Speaker 4: all like that next time, I don't.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Hope for success to your loved ones and friends.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Well, I mean you pretty much said at them this
- 2:00Speaker 4: morning for the U High Golf Tournament.
- 2:02Speaker 5: To be fair, you did, that's.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Where my kids go. So true.
- 2:08Speaker 5: You can't even deny that, like you really you said that.
- 2:11Speaker 4: He kind of did.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Hey, Michael Jordan said it. I can yourself.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I mean basically same guy.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I've always said it. I've always said it. Uh
- 2:23Speaker 4: So that's a good move. And McCoy is such a
- 2:26Speaker 4: good player when he's healthy. You just got to keep
- 2:27Speaker 4: him healthy. And if you do with the move that
- 2:30Speaker 4: you made to bring in Edwards, you love what you've
- 2:32Speaker 4: done up front. Also, the Saints have signed tight end
- 2:35Speaker 4: No Offense to a two year deal. No fan got
- 2:38Speaker 4: two year deal, correct, Yeah, two year deal for no
- 2:40Speaker 4: offense and the tight end position for you had to
- 2:43Speaker 4: get an upgrade because you have some free agents like
- 2:46Speaker 4: Falshom Morow, Taysom Hill free agents. Juwan Johnson certainly not
- 2:50Speaker 4: a complete tight end. He is a receiver that is
- 2:53Speaker 4: playing tight end and look in some ways it gives you,
- 2:57Speaker 4: you know, some benefit and some pros and cons to
- 2:59Speaker 4: the but you needed like a real tight end somebody's
- 3:03Speaker 4: played his entire life.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Did somebody Certainly the Saints have had their eye on
- 3:06Speaker 6: for a while. I don't know if he goes back
- 3:09Speaker 6: with Kellim Moore, whatever it is, but he was rumored
- 3:12Speaker 6: to Did he visit New Orleans before it was something
- 3:15Speaker 6: at the trade deadline? I believe this year that the
- 3:18Speaker 6: Saints were close to getting him, and maybe it was
- 3:21Speaker 6: at some point, but he was rumored to be a
- 3:24Speaker 6: Saint this past season at some point.
- 3:26Speaker 3: So it's somebody that's been on their radar.
- 3:28Speaker 7: And like you said, he visited last July during training camp.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Okay, sorry before yeah, okay, there was not the trade
- 3:36Speaker 6: deadline before the actual season. So certainly it's a I'm
- 3:41Speaker 6: not going to sit here and say it like the
- 3:43Speaker 6: greatest tight end to ever played the position, but certainly
- 3:46Speaker 6: a person that fits the need.
- 3:48Speaker 3: What would you call him, Jake? A Y tight end?
- 3:51Speaker 4: He could be either one. I think he could be
- 3:53Speaker 4: a Y R N F to be honest with you,
- 3:55Speaker 4: where Juwan's only going to be an F. If he's
- 3:57Speaker 4: a Y, you're licking your chops a yackle No, it's
- 4:01Speaker 4: definitely not.
- 4:01Speaker 3: That nobody knows what he's talking about.
- 4:04Speaker 4: A yackle would be somebody like Will Disley, who's a
- 4:07Speaker 4: free agent. He was with the Chargers. Like he's a yackle.
- 4:10Speaker 4: He was just called Johnson.
- 4:11Speaker 3: John Johnson's receiving tight end that sometimes chooses not to receive.
- 4:16Speaker 4: True that that part's face.
- 4:18Speaker 8: He runs the route in fairness.
- 4:21Speaker 6: He does fair Sometimes he chooses to receive the ball
- 4:25Speaker 6: very well.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but then sometimes he decides not to, Like he's like, yep,
- 4:30Speaker 4: I think my chest needs a ball to hit.
- 4:32Speaker 3: It real quick.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Sometimes he decides to miss time is jump a little
- 4:34Speaker 6: bit at an alligator arm it. But sometimes he also
- 4:37Speaker 6: catches over three people's heads and scores a touchdown.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you need it. Look, you needed to add some
- 4:43Speaker 4: tight ends. Now, I don't know what the plant like.
- 4:45Speaker 4: False Tomorrow is a free agent. We keep saying that
- 4:48Speaker 4: last year he made four million dollars the expected market
- 4:52Speaker 4: value for Foster's two point six this this time around.
- 4:55Speaker 4: So even if you added falsterim Morrow to your roster,
- 4:57Speaker 4: like that would give you three tight end options and
- 5:00Speaker 4: he's only gonna cost you two point six million dollars.
- 5:03Speaker 4: If you want to sign a one year deal. I mean, well,
- 5:05Speaker 4: you just got seven years of service time.
- 5:07Speaker 6: So let me tell you there's some really good tight
- 5:10Speaker 6: ends in this draft as well that are going to
- 5:12Speaker 6: be fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh rounders.
- 5:15Speaker 3: We saw it at at the Senior Bowl.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Like there was Cozil from Houston who just caught another
- 5:20Speaker 4: ball against LSU in the Texas Bowl. He's every bit,
- 5:24Speaker 4: He's six six and some change. With some real receiving,
- 5:26Speaker 4: he's a really good player. You might get him to
- 5:28Speaker 4: your point, Matt in the fifth, sixth, seventh rounds exactly.
- 5:31Speaker 3: You could get that.
- 5:32Speaker 6: It's just that there's an evolution of tight end happening
- 5:35Speaker 6: in the NFL. And there's a lot of guys that
- 5:38Speaker 6: were probably role players in college. Didn't get a lot
- 5:42Speaker 6: of I didn't have a lot of yards, didn't wasn't
- 5:44Speaker 6: that sexy player, didn't have games like Cozell had with
- 5:48Speaker 6: at Houston versus LSU.
- 5:50Speaker 4: But like init a year at ball State where he
- 5:52Speaker 4: had ninety six catches, You're gonna.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Get some guys in college and this is I'm just
- 5:56Speaker 6: I'm just making it like like a just a nice
- 5:59Speaker 6: even number here. I'm not basing this on any one
- 6:01Speaker 6: person You're gonna have some guys that get drafted in
- 6:04Speaker 6: the sixth seventh round that are gonna make immediate impacts
- 6:08Speaker 6: in a big way. Offensively, You're gonna have guys that
- 6:11Speaker 6: had thirty two catches and three hundred and ten yards
- 6:14Speaker 6: in college and then they're gonna go to someone like
- 6:17Speaker 6: the Rams and score seven touchdowns next year. Like You're
- 6:20Speaker 6: good because there's good players of that position and they're
- 6:23Speaker 6: being utilized in a way that I haven't really seen before. Like,
- 6:29Speaker 6: of course, the tight end's been out there, like you
- 6:30Speaker 6: saw it with the Patriots with broken You've seen these
- 6:35Speaker 6: great tight ends play. I'm not saying that, but the
- 6:38Speaker 6: way they're being used, like thirteen personnel as being like
- 6:44Speaker 6: one of the top personnel groups for the best at
- 6:46Speaker 6: one of the best offenses in the National Football League
- 6:50Speaker 6: is unheard of. But that's what's being done because they
- 6:53Speaker 6: create such bad They create matchup problems when you have
- 6:57Speaker 6: guys that can block but also run routes, and that's
- 6:59Speaker 6: what get it. It used to be like Jake likes
- 7:02Speaker 6: to put like the the why and the F tag on,
- 7:04Speaker 6: like you used to have like the blocker or the
- 7:06Speaker 6: pass catching but now you're starting to get like these
- 7:09Speaker 6: guys that are pass catchers but can also stick their
- 7:12Speaker 6: nose in there, right, and like that's why you see
- 7:14Speaker 6: the best offenses running thirteen personnel. And so they're they're
- 7:19Speaker 6: dressing out four or five tight ends every game because
- 7:22Speaker 6: not only are they really good there, they can play
- 7:24Speaker 6: a lot of different things on special teams as well.
- 7:26Speaker 6: Ward they're ward like, they they're versatile. So you're you
- 7:30Speaker 6: can catch another tight end in this draft late Yep,
- 7:34Speaker 6: that's gonna make a really good impact.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I think this tight end classes. It might not have
- 7:39Speaker 4: the brock Bowers in it, but that's okay. From the
- 7:41Speaker 4: third to the sixth round, it's got some starters in it.
- 7:45Speaker 4: To your point, And because if you're the second tight
- 7:47Speaker 4: end in twelve person l in the NFL today, you're
- 7:49Speaker 4: a starter, like you can play. If you're a third
- 7:51Speaker 4: tight end, you're you're for something for sure.
- 7:53Speaker 6: You could get your name announced before the game, run
- 7:55Speaker 6: out the tunnel by yourself as a starter.
- 7:57Speaker 9: Think about a think about a guy like Jared Camp
- 8:00Speaker 9: from Oklahoma, but you're in a four to five to
- 8:02Speaker 9: two with the combine. People don't talk about him because
- 8:04Speaker 9: he played the linebacker for three years at Oklahoma. You
- 8:06Speaker 9: think that guy's not gonna stick his nose in there
- 8:08Speaker 9: and block for you. And he had over five hundred
- 8:10Speaker 9: receiving yards his loan years at tight end. Like that
- 8:13Speaker 9: guy's not getting drafted before were like round five.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, just Titans and you got Oscar delt from Georgia.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I know he's got the fracture in his foot that
- 8:20Speaker 4: he's like, I don't care. I want to go run
- 8:22Speaker 4: as a combine even players.
- 8:24Speaker 6: Like that, and he hadn't had the success certainly like
- 8:26Speaker 6: a Sean mcfay or Shanahan or now with the guns. Yeah,
- 8:30Speaker 6: like they hadn't had that success, so you can't put
- 8:34Speaker 6: them in the same category. But I would put Kellen
- 8:36Speaker 6: Moore like offensive minded, Yeah, like I would put him
- 8:39Speaker 6: in that realm of like he could get to that point.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I just said, realm, real like country.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I like.
- 8:48Speaker 6: And I believe that he's going to follow those trends,
- 8:51Speaker 6: And I would say tight end is a big thing
- 8:54Speaker 6: that he wants to implement more and more. He just
- 8:56Speaker 6: has to have the personnel to do it, and they
- 8:58Speaker 6: got to be healthy, of course.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I do that.
- 9:00Speaker 4: That is something they can get their third tight end
- 9:02Speaker 4: if they don't bring a veteran player in like Foston
- 9:04Speaker 4: Morro back to the fold, they can certainly get in
- 9:07Speaker 4: the later rounds of this draft, because it's deep when
- 9:10Speaker 4: you're talking about the middle rounds coming up here in April.
- 9:13Speaker 4: All right, let's go to mike linebacker though, right there
- 9:17Speaker 4: in the middle of your defense.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Right there in the middle.
- 9:19Speaker 4: To Mario Davis two years with Jets, talked about it earlier,
- 9:22Speaker 4: twenty plus million dollars. So you draft Danny Stutsman out
- 9:25Speaker 4: of Oklahoma in the fourth round. Last year, you got
- 9:28Speaker 4: Jalen Ford out of Texas, who you got in the
- 9:29Speaker 4: fifth round a couple of years ago. All right, Pete
- 9:32Speaker 4: Warner obviously is a will linebacker. You can need somebody
- 9:35Speaker 4: in that three to four to be right there in
- 9:36Speaker 4: the middle of your defense playing mike. Is that Danny Stutsman?
- 9:41Speaker 4: Have we seen enough from him to get the opportunity,
- 9:43Speaker 4: or let's take a look at who's available still a
- 9:46Speaker 4: free agency. Do you go get a veteran linebacker. Maybe
- 9:51Speaker 4: it's a two year deal, maybe it's a one year deal.
- 9:53Speaker 4: To say, you know what, I don't want an off
- 9:57Speaker 4: the ball rookie linebacker replacing Tomorrio Davis. It's a lot
- 10:00Speaker 4: of pressure. Let's sign this veteran player for this year
- 10:03Speaker 4: and then maybe next year we dive back into the draft.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Do you go say, hey, Levante David, you know us,
- 10:11Speaker 4: we know you. You've been in the league fourteen years.
- 10:13Speaker 4: We've played against you in the division every year. Do
- 10:16Speaker 4: you say, hey, Bobby Wagner, you've played fourteen years. I
- 10:19Speaker 4: need you for one. Hey, Kaate Nellis, you've played here before.
- 10:23Speaker 4: That was cool, I want to do it again, right,
- 10:25Speaker 4: Kate Nellis is somebody who's going to cost you probably
- 10:28Speaker 4: eight and a half million dollars for a one year deal,
- 10:30Speaker 4: maybe nine. Devin Bush is probably going to cost you
- 10:34Speaker 4: a little bit more. You have a decision, mate, Just
- 10:37Speaker 4: don't bring in Kenneth Murray. Don't don't do that. Don't
- 10:40Speaker 4: bring in Kenneth Murray. That's not what you need right now.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Matt Milano from Buffalo had a lot of injuries, so
- 10:47Speaker 4: that's always a concern. But on a one year, four
- 10:50Speaker 4: and a half million dollar deal, Matt Milano from Buffalo
- 10:53Speaker 4: can be in the middle of your defense. There's a
- 10:55Speaker 4: ton of options that you can have a one year
- 10:57Speaker 4: deal to try to replace the Mario Davis for one
- 10:59Speaker 4: year year, maybe two. I just think if you go
- 11:02Speaker 4: out and you get somebody in the third round off
- 11:05Speaker 4: theotball linebacker to replace somebody that potentially could be a
- 11:08Speaker 4: Hall of Famer, I'm not sure that's the best case
- 11:11Speaker 4: scenario for you. But I love the idea of bringing
- 11:14Speaker 4: in a Bobby Wagner Levonte David. I like the Bobby
- 11:18Speaker 4: kayen Nell. It's one of those guys that's free right
- 11:20Speaker 4: now that you can bring in for a year or two.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 6: I mean, certainly it's like Stutsman's chance to step up,
- 11:28Speaker 6: step in, prove that he can be the guy, right
- 11:32Speaker 6: But you would certainly like a little veteran blood in
- 11:35Speaker 6: there to kind of guide and lead and help form that.
- 11:40Speaker 6: I really like the Bobby Wagner move, Like I personally
- 11:43Speaker 6: like I was a teammate when he was a rookie.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Like he's been in the league a long time. Oh god,
- 11:47Speaker 3: you're old. He was a rookie in twenty twelve.
- 11:49Speaker 4: And see I don't uh huh, he's fourteen years in.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Matthew Well, yeah, that heaby math And oh I do
- 11:56Speaker 6: remember he used to have a backpack and it was
- 11:58Speaker 6: a ninja turtle backpack. Well, Bob made him go up
- 12:01Speaker 6: in my book. Yeah it was awesome. No, seriously, I
- 12:03Speaker 6: love it. He had an inja turtle backpack you would
- 12:05Speaker 6: wear all the meetings. I had liked them.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Yeah, the shell on its alarms shell. Yeah did, Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 4: I did.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah. That's really my only scouting report on Bobby Wagner.
- 12:15Speaker 4: He got played fourteen years in the league. Yep, and
- 12:17Speaker 4: your scouting reporters, he had a ninja turtle backpack as
- 12:19Speaker 4: a rookie. You're not gonna get that anywhere else, folks.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Right here on off the bench.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Oh god, I am a little worried that. Brandon Staley,
- 12:29Speaker 4: who's the Saint Stevens the coordinator, did coach Kenneth Murray
- 12:33Speaker 4: when he was the head coach of the Chargers. And look,
- 12:35Speaker 4: I'm not just trying to be here be throwing shade
- 12:38Speaker 4: at Kenneth Murray. He's just he's not the kind of
- 12:41Speaker 4: linebacker you're gonna want. He's he's a sidelined sideline guy
- 12:44Speaker 4: in a three four defense man.
- 12:46Speaker 3: So who is it?
- 12:47Speaker 4: Who Kenneth Murray? So he played for Dallas last year
- 12:51Speaker 4: but got drafted by the Chargers in the first round
- 12:54Speaker 4: when Staley was the head coach there. But when you
- 12:57Speaker 4: play right in the middle of a three four defense,
- 13:00Speaker 4: you're gonna have guards that have a free path to
- 13:02Speaker 4: you immediately, because that's just the way when you play
- 13:05Speaker 4: an odd front, that's the way that it's going to happen.
- 13:09Speaker 4: He's not the guy I won't taken on a guard
- 13:12Speaker 4: right there in the middle of your defense. So, like again,
- 13:15Speaker 4: there's places for him. I don't think New Orleans is
- 13:17Speaker 4: that place. That's why I'd rather have Bobby Wagner, Levonte,
- 13:21Speaker 4: David Kayden Ellis. I'll take Devin Bush over that. I
- 13:24Speaker 4: take Matt Milano over that. Devin White's out there. Devin
- 13:29Speaker 4: White just had one hundred and forty five tackles for
- 13:30Speaker 4: the Raiders.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Leo's I don't know what he's really talking about.
- 13:34Speaker 4: I don't think Devin in a in a three four
- 13:36Speaker 4: is the best case for either one either, though.
- 13:38Speaker 9: Leo played a lot of football for the Chiefs. He's
- 13:42Speaker 9: a solid linebacker.
- 13:43Speaker 8: That's if you want to go cheap cheap.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Like if you bargain Ben Hunting, that's gonna cost you
- 13:47Speaker 4: about four and a half million.
- 13:48Speaker 8: Dollars one year deal in channel. Let me what twenty six?
- 13:53Speaker 8: So like a veteran but still young.
- 13:56Speaker 3: They got it.
- 13:57Speaker 4: They have to add somebody. Danny Stutsman. I think he say, good,
- 14:00Speaker 4: change his pace player, bring him in corps for war
- 14:04Speaker 4: Daddy that that's great. I don't know that he can
- 14:06Speaker 4: be your every down linebacker. So bring in a veteran player,
- 14:10Speaker 4: fare him with Danny Stutsman who can give you some
- 14:12Speaker 4: snaps on the defensive side, not just special teams, and
- 14:15Speaker 4: try to replace some of the leadership you lose with
- 14:17Speaker 4: to Mario Davis as.
- 14:18Speaker 6: Well, how do you feel about the Let's talk about
- 14:21Speaker 6: the draft a little bit, like, how do you feel
- 14:23Speaker 6: about replacing via the draft? Because I know there's a
- 14:25Speaker 6: couple of linebackers that you like, certainly the one from
- 14:28Speaker 6: Ohio State.
- 14:30Speaker 4: And then if you take Sunny Styles at eight, I'll
- 14:32Speaker 4: go turn in the car to the commissioner myself.
- 14:34Speaker 6: I'll be there and what about I'll do it. How
- 14:36Speaker 6: about a second round pick Jazah Jaco Rodriguez, who will
- 14:43Speaker 6: be the defensive rookie of the year next year.
- 14:45Speaker 4: It would You're probably right, I think we agree there.
- 14:48Speaker 4: It would have to be certain guys because like I
- 14:50Speaker 4: just said, like to take one to replace Damrio Davis,
- 14:53Speaker 4: it's going to take a strong mentality, and you might
- 14:56Speaker 4: be like, what do you mean, It's just football. I'm
- 14:57Speaker 4: just telling you. And you know this too. You been
- 15:00Speaker 4: in enough locker rooms. When you get drafted to replace
- 15:03Speaker 4: a legend, that brings in an added pressure not everybody
- 15:07Speaker 4: can handle. I was drafted to replace Lorenzo O'Neil, right,
- 15:11Speaker 4: different player, the offense was changing, but in fans minds
- 15:14Speaker 4: like I was brought in to replace Lorenzo O'Neil, who
- 15:18Speaker 4: might one day wear a gold jacket.
- 15:19Speaker 6: So like I know, I get it. I was brought
- 15:21Speaker 6: in and replaced Brett Favre, so I get it, like
- 15:26Speaker 6: I get the pain guys. So there's there's things that
- 15:30Speaker 6: come with that, and you've got to be able to
- 15:31Speaker 6: handle that. So of the guys I think can handle
- 15:35Speaker 6: that sunny styles without question. I'm telling you, Like I
- 15:39Speaker 6: walked away.
- 15:40Speaker 5: So can Jacob Martinez Rodriguez.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Oh he called it Martinez. I was like, wait a minute,
- 15:46Speaker 4: but I think he could about say. I thinks I
- 15:51Speaker 4: think C J. Allen from Georgia and I think Jacob Bardriguez,
- 15:54Speaker 4: all three could handle that pressure that I'm talking about
- 15:56Speaker 4: after having conversations with him at the combine.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree with you, but I think you're putting
- 16:02Speaker 6: a lot on this pressure situation to replace something.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I've just I've been through it.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I get it.
- 16:08Speaker 6: No one would have picked you to be able to
- 16:10Speaker 6: handle it, but you did. I don't know, I'm just
- 16:14Speaker 6: mess a captain, but like, yeah, I mean, especially this sage,
- 16:18Speaker 6: these guys are going to go in there and just
- 16:19Speaker 6: want they just want to play football.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Not saying it's the only thing, but I'm telling you
- 16:22Speaker 4: it is something that is talked about, thought about. Again,
- 16:26Speaker 4: I've gone through this. I remember the feelings of people
- 16:29Speaker 4: talking about replacing the Legend, and they're always going to
- 16:31Speaker 4: compare you to that guy. There's people in this draft
- 16:34Speaker 4: that can handle that. I don't think everybody can handle that.
- 16:37Speaker 6: I would agree with you, but that Legend decided to
- 16:39Speaker 6: sign with an irrelevant organization. He didn't like retire, he
- 16:42Speaker 6: didn't like lay his jersey down on the fifty, you
- 16:45Speaker 6: know what I mean.
- 16:45Speaker 3: He decided to go sign. Was like, there's gonna be pressure.
- 16:48Speaker 4: He sounds a Jets and I was kind of like, well,
- 16:50Speaker 4: if he sounds a Jets. Is it really that hard.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not a lot of pressure. I mean that
- 16:54Speaker 3: got left you. I mean, I'm not saying left.
- 16:57Speaker 6: I don't want to say that the guy decided the
- 17:00Speaker 6: opportunity was better to play for the Jets.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Look, I get money, but that's just.
- 17:11Speaker 3: It's state income tax is going to be off the charts.
- 17:14Speaker 9: Well, Jake mentioned, you know, he knows the situation. That's
- 17:17Speaker 9: why I wouldn't assigned to with them exactly. And he
- 17:20Speaker 9: knows the situation like he's been with the Jets. Did
- 17:23Speaker 9: you not remember you played for the Jets.
- 17:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean yeah. The facility's nice. They got a
- 17:28Speaker 6: nice cafeteria. Domlets were really good.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I was there.
- 17:31Speaker 9: Maybe that's you know what I'm bad if tomorrow is honest,
- 17:34Speaker 9: there's like guys, it was. It was the Omelet and
- 17:36Speaker 9: they did like you could.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Get it like a smoothie shake anytime you wanted to.
- 17:39Speaker 3: It was nice.
- 17:40Speaker 8: I got it, and I'm actually kind of actually kind
- 17:43Speaker 8: of agree with the decision now for.
- 17:45Speaker 4: What you just put in the chat. That's our coal.
- 17:54Speaker 3: For them.
- 17:56Speaker 5: No, I'm right.
- 17:59Speaker 6: One thing I do remember about being in New Jersey
- 18:03Speaker 6: when I was with the Jets, I was there for
- 18:04Speaker 6: a while, is okay?
- 18:08Speaker 3: If you in a Jersey correct me if I'm wrong.
- 18:12Speaker 3: You cannot pump your own gas?
- 18:14Speaker 7: Right, So I drove from Philadelphia to New York and
- 18:18Speaker 7: my uncle was like, hey can I because they get
- 18:21Speaker 7: offended if you start pumping your own gas.
- 18:23Speaker 3: You just can't do it. Like it's actually I think
- 18:26Speaker 3: it's a law. You can't pump your own.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Full service station there's gas attendance because like the gas
- 18:31Speaker 6: station will close, and you got to get your gas
- 18:34Speaker 6: before the gas station closes, Like how fast Awkwards?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 18:39Speaker 6: And then that's what Damario Davis. He chose to go
- 18:43Speaker 6: to a place where you can't get gas like after eight.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Pmre in Jersey? Did you live in hobo?
- 18:49Speaker 3: That's an indictment?
- 18:51Speaker 8: It is that like that you don't want to pump
- 18:54Speaker 8: your own gas like silver spoon in hand idea by
- 19:00Speaker 8: the Saints.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Yeah, move on.
- 19:02Speaker 8: You know, you get older, sometimes you get cranky, Like
- 19:08Speaker 8: maybe that's.
- 19:09Speaker 6: It there is like if you're in the chata, let
- 19:12Speaker 6: me know, is there any other state in the country
- 19:16Speaker 6: that doesn't let you pump your own nookie?
- 19:17Speaker 8: Says a organ?
- 19:18Speaker 6: Or well that checked that that tracks organ is soft objectively.
- 19:29Speaker 6: California is surprise shocking. They let you pump your own
- 19:35Speaker 6: guests there.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Anyways, Uh, the Saints very well could go linebacker at eight.
- 19:45Speaker 4: I don't know any style is gonna make it, make
- 19:47Speaker 4: it to them. If he doesn't, we'll talk about maybe
- 19:50Speaker 4: the guy that we would select for the New Orleans
- 19:52Speaker 4: Saints when we come back here on O TV. Off
- 19:56Speaker 4: the bench, all right, go to go Tommy's dot com.
- 20:01Speaker 4: All right, G E A U X Tommy's with y
- 20:05Speaker 4: dot com. You'll clearly see the difference. And whenever you're
- 20:08Speaker 4: looking for the best, well, the best is well Tommy's Windows,
- 20:11Speaker 4: Doors and Siding. That's not just us telling you that.
- 20:13Speaker 4: That is Angie's list, who's given in the Super Service
- 20:16Speaker 4: Award the year after year after year. That is the
- 20:18Speaker 4: advocate this year in twenty twenty five best Windows that
- 20:21Speaker 4: went to Tommy's Windows, Doors and yes, also siding. So
- 20:26Speaker 4: know you're working with the best. Also know you're working
- 20:28Speaker 4: with somebody that cares. Also know you're working with a
- 20:30Speaker 4: former member of the Golden Band from Tiger Land. Oh
- 20:34Speaker 4: all right, so we're talking LSU through and through as well.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Go to their website today, see what they can do
- 20:38Speaker 4: for you. See what they've done already for your neighbors.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Go Tommy's dot Com.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Um um, you used to play that.
- 20:45Speaker 4: That's the band from LSU. Yeah, call that the golden
- 20:48Speaker 4: band from Tiger Land.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Well it's a golden company. Tommy's Windows Doors Siding the
- 20:52Speaker 6: best in the business. If you have a project, make
- 20:54Speaker 6: sure you give them a call, let them talk to
- 20:56Speaker 6: you about it.
- 20:57Speaker 3: They're the best. Go Tommies dot Com.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 21:21Speaker 2: by Community Steel.
- 21:49Speaker 4: All right, welcome back again, Oh t B. You're live
- 21:53Speaker 4: from the Raising King Studio again. Our Tuesday shows brought
- 21:55Speaker 4: to you by Community Still always remember Community Steel co
- 21:58Speaker 4: dot Com is the website that had them back on
- 22:02Speaker 4: the squad. We were talking a little bit before we
- 22:05Speaker 4: went to break about the Saints and what they could
- 22:07Speaker 4: do in the draft, and they lose to Mario Davis.
- 22:09Speaker 4: So maybe the linebacker position could be something that they
- 22:12Speaker 4: hit on in the first, the second, the third round.
- 22:15Speaker 4: The first round depends on if Sonny Styles is a
- 22:18Speaker 4: player that is still available. If he's not, well, where
- 22:21Speaker 4: did the New Orleans Saints go? And I think they go.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Across the street.
- 22:27Speaker 4: To the LSU football facility, and so like Monsieur de
- 22:31Speaker 4: Laine corner, Stop shaking your head. You just lost to
- 22:36Speaker 4: Lante Taylor. He lost post the debo last year. You
- 22:40Speaker 4: need a corner. He's the best corner in the draft.
- 22:43Speaker 4: You're picking at eight. The Chiefs desperately need a corner now.
- 22:46Speaker 4: They lost two to the Rams and lost the safety
- 22:48Speaker 4: to the Bengals. They need dvs. They're picking right behind you.
- 22:52Speaker 4: They could be aggressive and moving up to get ahead
- 22:54Speaker 4: of you for the same player I've seen marsh Monster fourth,
- 23:03Speaker 4: I think is the highest I've seen him in some
- 23:04Speaker 4: mock drafts. So Monster a laying somebody that everybody was
- 23:07Speaker 4: impressed with the combine. I was impressed with him. I
- 23:10Speaker 4: never had the chance to interview him until the combine
- 23:13Speaker 4: blew me away. Great football, like you, very well spoken,
- 23:16Speaker 4: hell of a player. If the Saints selecd him with
- 23:21Speaker 4: the eighth overall pick, how was feeling you were shaking
- 23:25Speaker 4: your head?
- 23:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't. I don't like it.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Why I like him?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Okay? Well great?
- 23:30Speaker 6: I mean it's the same thing as overpaying and free
- 23:32Speaker 6: agency for a corner. You're overpaying in your draft capital
- 23:36Speaker 6: for a corner like yeah, you gotta. You have to
- 23:38Speaker 6: find you have to have good corners to be successful
- 23:41Speaker 6: in the NFL as a defense.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I got it. But you can't overpay for you think
- 23:47Speaker 4: selecting the top corner in the draft at eight.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Is overpaying with the amount of needs you knit you
- 23:52Speaker 6: have and you have a first year or you have
- 23:56Speaker 6: a franchise quarterback that's in her a second year, you
- 23:58Speaker 6: have a second year your offensive minded head coach.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I do.
- 24:03Speaker 6: Now if you can, if you can pick him like
- 24:04Speaker 6: later in the first round, you think it could be later, No,
- 24:08Speaker 6: he's not. He's gonna not. So Yeah, I don't. I
- 24:10Speaker 6: don't pass. I personally do not like to pick.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Uh tite.
- 24:16Speaker 9: I think this is the obvious pick at this at
- 24:19Speaker 9: this point. I didn't think that going into yesterday. But
- 24:22Speaker 9: I mean the moves you made, it's kind of your
- 24:25Speaker 9: biggest need as far as depth in the draft. Like
- 24:29Speaker 9: you need a receiver, tons of great receivers, you need
- 24:32Speaker 9: an ed rusher, tons of great ed rushers. Corner is
- 24:35Speaker 9: kind of your biggest need. Look, I don't think kool
- 24:36Speaker 9: Aid mcintree is a one at all. Quincy Riley maybe
- 24:40Speaker 9: you can have him as a cornerback two. You don't
- 24:44Speaker 9: have a top corner on this team right now.
- 24:46Speaker 8: It's kind of your biggest spot, Miss Villa Reale.
- 24:50Speaker 5: I would be for it.
- 24:52Speaker 7: I understand what you're saying, Matt, but with I agree
- 24:56Speaker 7: with Taylor, like with the moves that you made yesterday,
- 25:00Speaker 7: I think that you can get what you need left
- 25:02Speaker 7: in the later rounds.
- 25:05Speaker 6: There's two types of capital out there. There's actual capital,
- 25:08Speaker 6: there's money, and there's draft capital. And you can't overspend
- 25:12Speaker 6: on either one of those things for a corner. I
- 25:14Speaker 6: just show me where it's worked out. Show me where
- 25:17Speaker 6: a team has won a championship with doing that. Maybe
- 25:21Speaker 6: there's an example out there, but you're gonna have to search.
- 25:23Speaker 6: You're gonna have to look and be like, oh, yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 6: that's right. I think like, yeah, you can draft the
- 25:30Speaker 6: top ten cornerback and have a really good corner. But
- 25:33Speaker 6: tell me when that has equaled a championship.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I think when Jalen Rams got traded for that was
- 25:40Speaker 4: kind of a missing piece. But look, I get your point.
- 25:43Speaker 9: It almost worked in Jacksonville, like they had the game one,
- 25:47Speaker 9: Portals just couldn't throw the ball that day.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I do hear what you're saying, and I'm agreeing with you,
- 25:51Speaker 4: and I think he's an incredible player. I think he's
- 25:55Speaker 4: not knock on. I think he's good enough to be
- 25:57Speaker 4: able to change the rules a bit on what you're
- 25:59Speaker 4: talking about. He graded out as the highest corner in
- 26:02Speaker 4: college football last year. There was teams that said, we're
- 26:05Speaker 4: not even looking your way when we game plan, and
- 26:07Speaker 4: you know, like you've played those guys, Lane Kippens said,
- 26:10Speaker 4: it's like, dude, we're not throwing to you. Stop asking.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I don't even need to warm up.
- 26:14Speaker 4: So for other corners in this draft, and this isn't
- 26:17Speaker 4: because he's an LSU guy. This is like actual analytics
- 26:20Speaker 4: and data saying, like McCoy from Tennessee is a good player.
- 26:23Speaker 4: He's hurt, so we got to see that Hood from
- 26:26Speaker 4: Tennessee is a good player. See Safe from South Carol
- 26:28Speaker 4: is a good player. Chris Johnson from San Diego State
- 26:31Speaker 4: is a good player. I don't even remotely think about
- 26:34Speaker 4: those guys early. I think Monsur is a different beast
- 26:38Speaker 4: than those guys. So if you selected him at eight,
- 26:41Speaker 4: it would not be a doomsday from me. I think
- 26:43Speaker 4: he's a really good player that would be deserving of
- 26:45Speaker 4: being a top eight pick. My first choice would be
- 26:48Speaker 4: Sunny Styles because I think the versatility he gives you.
- 26:51Speaker 4: I just don't know that he's going to be there.
- 26:53Speaker 4: If he is, again, I'll go turn in the card
- 26:55Speaker 4: for Mickey. I'll be set up right next to the stage,
- 26:58Speaker 4: just handed to me, and I would be very happy.
- 27:01Speaker 4: You see glee on my face if I got to
- 27:03Speaker 4: turn that in for the Saints.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Yeah, like I would prefer if I have my Saints
- 27:09Speaker 6: had on Yeah, like I would prefer them to go
- 27:12Speaker 6: and find a corner and the like it's one day
- 27:15Speaker 6: of free agency, like the new league you hadn't even
- 27:17Speaker 6: technically opened yet.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Go find secure guys.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Don't overpay for them. Find you some good guys. Take
- 27:23Speaker 6: you take your corner in the draft, but don't overpay
- 27:27Speaker 6: for him. Now, do I have a replacement for you?
- 27:29Speaker 6: Like I understand what y'all are saying, Like he's a
- 27:31Speaker 6: deserved top ten pick, He's going to be a great
- 27:34Speaker 6: corner in the NFL, But like I don't and and
- 27:39Speaker 6: and y'all can make the argument for it, I don't
- 27:41Speaker 6: have and I can and I can disagree with you.
- 27:43Speaker 6: I don't have a replacement for him because I still
- 27:45Speaker 6: like this is the draft. This is a perfect draft
- 27:48Speaker 6: if they don't have the opportunity for sunny style, like,
- 27:50Speaker 6: this is the opportunity to trade back and get more
- 27:53Speaker 6: get more picks.
- 27:54Speaker 3: And I'm gonna keep right. I'm gonna keep saying it.
- 27:56Speaker 6: I don't really know if anybody else is saying it,
- 27:58Speaker 6: maybe just because it's like against what me has always done.
- 28:02Speaker 6: But as Mickey limis ever done this well in the
- 28:04Speaker 6: first day of free agency either, So maybe he's a
- 28:06Speaker 6: new guy. Maybe he can change.
- 28:09Speaker 7: Oh you kind of feeling like Kellen has a lot
- 28:11Speaker 7: more say than Yeah, we might be giving Ellen did
- 28:15Speaker 7: some of this.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I think.
- 28:17Speaker 7: Kellen needs a little bit of this. But I also
- 28:19Speaker 7: just I don't know what's going on in their front office.
- 28:21Speaker 7: It's just it hasn't been that way until he got here.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Right as far as like the corners that maybe you
- 28:26Speaker 4: could afford in free agency, Cam Taylor Britt from Cincinnati,
- 28:30Speaker 4: he's going to cost you about nine per Greg Newsom
- 28:32Speaker 4: from Jacksonville is going to cost you about nine. Marshaun Lattimore,
- 28:36Speaker 4: it's gonna be available. He's out there.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Uh.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Dreike Willing from Seattle, he's a really good players about
- 28:41Speaker 4: eight point one is projected, he's gonna cost you per year.
- 28:45Speaker 4: After that, it gets a little dicey. Then you start
- 28:48Speaker 4: getting into Trayvon Diggs territory. He's gonna cost you about
- 28:50Speaker 4: seven and a half per year.
- 28:52Speaker 8: So it's not some would be over nine.
- 28:55Speaker 4: It's not the best free agent market for corners.
- 28:58Speaker 8: I just I think there's a better line backers than
- 29:00Speaker 8: there are corners.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Certainly like stop gap options for a year. So bring
- 29:06Speaker 4: back Marshall a lot of more.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I think.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I think I think he's gonna be the pick. Now
- 29:17Speaker 4: if you select one of the Tennessee guys at eight,
- 29:21Speaker 4: Tennessee who volunteers, Okay, we got two corners, Sam, if
- 29:27Speaker 4: you select them at eight, then me and Mickey gotta.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Have a combo. We got we got problems, we got
- 29:30Speaker 3: throw hands.
- 29:31Speaker 4: But I think because of the player that we're talking
- 29:33Speaker 4: about and the need.
- 29:33Speaker 5: That you have there, I think Delane is good enough
- 29:36Speaker 5: to be the exception.
- 29:37Speaker 4: To the r Yeah, me too. What do you think
- 29:41Speaker 4: if you're if you don't want to go corner, if
- 29:42Speaker 4: you're at eight, well you signed the running back trade?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Yeah right?
- 29:46Speaker 3: So e t N. Well, you know Mickey.
- 29:47Speaker 8: Trading back actually like if you if you let me pick,
- 29:50Speaker 8: that's what I would do.
- 29:51Speaker 6: But he's not so but he has also never done
- 29:54Speaker 6: this well in free agency. Like so we got to say,
- 29:56Speaker 6: maybe he's doing things.
- 29:57Speaker 4: That are you gonna but who you're gonna trade with?
- 29:59Speaker 4: Because the team that needs corner as bad as anybody's
- 30:03Speaker 4: right behind you. Yeah, so where they're like, you know,
- 30:08Speaker 4: like who they're gonna get, they're gonna.
- 30:09Speaker 8: Get with what prospect to jump there is.
- 30:11Speaker 4: They're gonna try to get to six or seven. They're
- 30:15Speaker 4: not gonna try to get with you, like because they
- 30:17Speaker 4: think you are going to be the guy that selects
- 30:19Speaker 4: the corner. So you've got to find a team that
- 30:21Speaker 4: is willing to give up some real assets.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Now, there's a lot of teams with real assets. I
- 30:27Speaker 6: was about saying, the Dallas Cowboys, the Raiders, now the Jets.
- 30:30Speaker 4: The Raiders are probably gonna go offensive line at fourteen
- 30:33Speaker 4: after selecting Windows at one, even though they just signed Linderbaum.
- 30:37Speaker 4: They need a lot of help on the offensive line still,
- 30:39Speaker 4: and a guard at fourteen. You can make that justified.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Now the Cowboys is where it gets interesting, because they
- 30:49Speaker 4: like monsor de Laine, they got they need to help.
- 30:53Speaker 4: They can move up.
- 30:54Speaker 8: They're a team that could jump up for Caleb Downs too.
- 30:57Speaker 4: If they got the they got the draft treasure chance
- 31:01Speaker 4: to be able to do so.
- 31:04Speaker 6: But again, guys, if any teams looking for a new
- 31:07Speaker 6: available we're talking about Mickey Loomis trading back in a draft.
- 31:10Speaker 3: He's gonna do it. He's gonna do it. I believe
- 31:17Speaker 3: it's plus four fifty.
- 31:18Speaker 5: I've just been burned too much from him.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Well, he's starting to heal those burn winds.
- 31:24Speaker 8: As long as he didn't take a line, I'm good.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Guys.
- 31:27Speaker 6: He had the best draft last year in the NFL.
- 31:31Speaker 6: It wasn't good draft, he got an award. More.
- 31:34Speaker 4: If you're the New Orleans Saints and Dallas calls you
- 31:37Speaker 4: and says, hey, for number eight, we'll give you twelve,
- 31:41Speaker 4: a third and a sixth rounder. Yeah, because that's about
- 31:44Speaker 4: what it would take. Yeah, you'd move up.
- 31:47Speaker 9: I would because would because you might not get delayed.
- 31:49Speaker 9: But you can still get a top flight receiver if
- 31:52Speaker 9: that's what you want. You could still get an edge
- 31:53Speaker 9: Druscher if you wanted that and you got more draft pick.
- 31:56Speaker 6: If like if these if if their conversations or anything
- 31:59Speaker 6: like media conversations like our conversation and like you're not
- 32:03Speaker 6: convicted on one person. Absolutely, you got so many needs,
- 32:09Speaker 6: like you said you could. You could get a great
- 32:11Speaker 6: receiver and Edgdresser in the third round, you got a
- 32:16Speaker 6: linebacker on this Like, there's so many things you can
- 32:18Speaker 6: do with those extra picks. You could even trade them.
- 32:24Speaker 6: Could be a vote, could be a vote.
- 32:26Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break more OTB when we
- 32:28Speaker 4: come back here live from the Raisin Kine studio.

- 35:46Speaker 4: Yep, golf clap to Mickey, good job, good job, good job,
- 35:50Speaker 4: keep it up.
- 35:51Speaker 5: I'm not doing that yet.
- 35:52Speaker 3: What you done for lately? What have you done for
- 35:54Speaker 3: me lately?
- 35:54Speaker 4: Let's standing ovation, It's just say we see you.
- 35:58Speaker 5: I'll give a like a hesitant like.
- 36:01Speaker 6: Let's just say Mickey Loomis has been the best GM
- 36:04Speaker 6: in the NFL since I've been on the show.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Do you believe that because he had the best draft
- 36:10Speaker 4: class and he's doing.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Because you can tell the best draft class after one year?
- 36:15Speaker 6: Obviously the hardware says you can. Matt we're talking about
- 36:20Speaker 6: about the Saints. But let's let's stay within their division.
- 36:23Speaker 6: Let's check in one. Can we check in on the
- 36:26Speaker 6: Falcons how they're doing this off season?
- 36:28Speaker 8: This is your quarterback room?
- 36:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh that's good?
- 36:32Speaker 3: Perfect?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 36:34Speaker 4: Wrong?
- 36:35Speaker 7: That for those listening not watching, it is a picture
- 36:39Speaker 7: of Michael Pinnox in a wheelchair. Looks like he just
- 36:42Speaker 7: up and then and then Tua getting carded on a
- 36:47Speaker 7: gurney off the field.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Ye.
- 36:48Speaker 5: That's the Falcons quarterback room for two thousand and Also,
- 36:52Speaker 5: isn't Kirk Cousins still there?
- 36:54Speaker 7: Now?
- 36:56Speaker 5: Missed that one?
- 36:57Speaker 8: You left?
- 36:57Speaker 3: These pretty cool at days? It is pretty cool. So
- 37:00Speaker 3: the Falcons, Yes, they signed to turn the ball over
- 37:04Speaker 3: and to.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Win the NFC South.
- 37:06Speaker 4: They also got Eastern Stick.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Oh, a cousin of Western Branch.
- 37:13Speaker 8: Yeah, former Chargers legend.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Here.
- 37:18Speaker 6: So I'm looking at this move and I'm thinking about
- 37:21Speaker 6: I'm thinking about a comp for this move for the Falcons.
- 37:24Speaker 3: So two, it goes he's signing with the Falcons.
- 37:26Speaker 6: And like I think those was it like an easy
- 37:29Speaker 6: move for them just because he's a lefty, Like I
- 37:31Speaker 6: don't know, like, but they see it seemed to be
- 37:33Speaker 6: his destination before this whole week even started, right, Uh,
- 37:38Speaker 6: that was the rumor that I was at least reading,
- 37:40Speaker 6: and I was trying to find a comp like, is
- 37:43Speaker 6: this a good move? Like who's actually going to be
- 37:45Speaker 6: the starterst to going in there to be the starter?
- 37:47Speaker 6: Is Michael Pennock's going to be healthy? He's had like
- 37:49Speaker 6: thirty five knee injuries in his career, his one year career.
- 37:55Speaker 6: And I was trying to think of a comp and
- 37:56Speaker 6: I started looking at the Colts. If you had to
- 37:59Speaker 6: say who his career to this point, Who's is better
- 38:02Speaker 6: to his career or Daniel Jones before he went to
- 38:05Speaker 6: the Colts.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Has had a better career. And I don't even think
- 38:10Speaker 3: it's close.
- 38:12Speaker 6: So could this be the same situation Daniel Jones came
- 38:14Speaker 6: in last year and they're like, well, Anthony Richardson is here,
- 38:17Speaker 6: He's going to be the starter, Daniel Jones is going
- 38:20Speaker 6: to like Who's Like? I feel like it's a very
- 38:22Speaker 6: comparable situation in Atlanta than it was with the Colts.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Now was that a one off?
- 38:28Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 38:30Speaker 6: We've seen it happen with a lot of quarterbacks. We've
- 38:32Speaker 6: seen it happen with Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, We've seen
- 38:35Speaker 6: it happen with all these different quarterbacks reviving their career
- 38:39Speaker 6: somewhere else.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Right now, Tua has.
- 38:44Speaker 6: Didn't look great a couple of times in the quarter
- 38:46Speaker 6: of public opinion because he kind of threw his teammates
- 38:49Speaker 6: under the bus. Sometimes there's a way to do that.
- 38:51Speaker 6: He didn't do it the right way. I don't think
- 38:53Speaker 6: like there is a way to do what he did
- 38:55Speaker 6: as a leader. Certainly coaches do it. Quarterbacks can do
- 38:59Speaker 6: it in the public eye throw throw people under the bus,
- 39:01Speaker 6: But there's a you gotta do it, like, it has
- 39:03Speaker 6: to be the right tone.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Yeah, you also yourself when you're like one of the
- 39:08Speaker 7: problems and you're doing that, You you can't just blame
- 39:12Speaker 7: it on everybody else.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't.
- 39:16Speaker 6: And you never know who empowered him to do that himself?
- 39:19Speaker 6: Was it was it the head coach? Like did somebody
- 39:21Speaker 6: empower him to do like? I don't know, because the
- 39:23Speaker 6: head coach didn't like it very much. I remember him
- 39:25Speaker 6: coming out and being like, uh the heill, Well somebody did,
- 39:30Speaker 6: But anyway, is it gonna work out? But let's just
- 39:33Speaker 6: say the deal for the Falcon has had these streaks
- 39:36Speaker 6: of greatness at Miami good.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Yeah, there's been times he's been good in the intermediate stuff.
- 39:40Speaker 4: He's very accurate. Yeah, and you like if I am
- 39:45Speaker 4: somebody like Tua Tongue Baiala and I just got released
- 39:47Speaker 4: and the Dolphins are paying me so I can go
- 39:49Speaker 4: sign a one million dollar contract, which is what he
- 39:52Speaker 4: got from Atlanta. And I look up and I've got
- 39:54Speaker 4: Bijeon Bromson. I've got Coyle Pits on the franchise. Tag
- 39:59Speaker 4: Johan and signed there yesterday. Zakia signed back there yesterday.
- 40:03Speaker 4: I've got Drake London. I'm looking at him. Austin Hooper
- 40:08Speaker 4: just signed. He was really good. You got weapons, they
- 40:13Speaker 4: got a lot of talent. So I'd be like fired up.
- 40:18Speaker 4: I would do everything I possibly could to be at
- 40:20Speaker 4: my very best to try to prove everybody wrong. This
- 40:23Speaker 4: is his last opportunity to get a chance to like this.
- 40:26Speaker 4: And you got dudes around you. If you don't work
- 40:30Speaker 4: out in Atlanta, that's on you. You also got Kevin Stefanski, who,
- 40:34Speaker 4: regardless of what you think of him, he's been an
- 40:36Speaker 4: NFL Coach of the Year twice.
- 40:38Speaker 6: You really don't have any excuses. Yeah, and I get it,
- 40:41Speaker 6: he's had these bad streaks. Let's can't what what percentage
- 40:46Speaker 6: of that can you blame on the organization, Probably a
- 40:51Speaker 6: decent amount of it, but for a decent of like
- 40:55Speaker 6: a big period of time when two is, if he's conscious,
- 40:58Speaker 6: he's been pretty good.
- 41:03Speaker 8: What I mean, it did go downhill after that to
- 41:08Speaker 8: your point, like.
- 41:10Speaker 3: It's such a turd. It's true he got knocked out a.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Lot, but he got knocked out a lot.
- 41:16Speaker 3: It's a fair point.
- 41:18Speaker 6: And then after he got knocked out a lot, he
- 41:20Speaker 6: wasn't that good, rightfully, so as brain wasn't.
- 41:23Speaker 5: Working him to throw his teammates under the bus.
- 41:28Speaker 9: About intermediate stuff like the Falcons last year invested a
- 41:31Speaker 9: lot into their own line and you could say, well,
- 41:34Speaker 9: got sacked a lot. Penix held into the ball a
- 41:36Speaker 9: lot too, like if if we can get the ball
- 41:38Speaker 9: out of his hands quick like their line was actually
- 41:40Speaker 9: pretty good, La.
- 41:43Speaker 6: I was pretty high. Michael Pennix too, you will, I
- 41:48Speaker 6: mean you were hoping. I was, Yeah, you had card game.
- 41:50Speaker 6: You know you were vested hard out here in the
- 41:53Speaker 6: streets at the card game.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Uh, let's do this. Let's take a break on time
- 41:58Speaker 4: ish and uh when we come back, that's ad ish,
- 42:01Speaker 4: when we come for us. When we come back, we'll
- 42:03Speaker 4: talk about the panthers, because the panthers and bucks if
- 42:06Speaker 4: we're standing in South. They also made some moves that
- 42:08Speaker 4: I like, and we'll talk about them when we jump
- 42:09Speaker 4: back here on o TV.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Off the Bench on time adjacent.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Go to trash rangers dot com residential commercial pick up
- 42:17Speaker 4: roll off dumpsters. Well, guess what they got three different
- 42:20Speaker 4: sizes to choose from. If you're looking for maybe a
- 42:24Speaker 4: portable restroom because you got parades coming up this week
- 42:27Speaker 4: and it's not too late, give them a call. They'll
- 42:29Speaker 4: deliver it. You don't want those people in your house, right,
- 42:31Speaker 4: I don't want that, So just go ahead and have
- 42:34Speaker 4: trash Rangers deliver that portable restroom right in your front
- 42:37Speaker 4: yard and you still have the luxury of having a
- 42:38Speaker 4: restroom for your guests. But I'm going to your home
- 42:41Speaker 4: and so a lot of different things they do over
- 42:43Speaker 4: there at trash Rangers. Love the sanitation department, which is
- 42:46Speaker 4: somewhat new to the trash Rangers portfolio, but they do
- 42:50Speaker 4: that at an incredibly high level as well. No surprise there.
- 42:52Speaker 4: Go to trash rangers dot gum.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like the biggest parade, the best parade in
- 42:57Speaker 6: Baton Rouge this weekend. So if you are hosting, if
- 42:59Speaker 6: you are on that pree round, you got a bunch
- 43:00Speaker 6: of people, come over. Give trash Rangers. Oh they got
- 43:02Speaker 6: that sanitation apartment. They bring a portable toilet out. It's clean,
- 43:05Speaker 6: it's awesome. It's a new department too, so we got
- 43:08Speaker 6: those new portable toilets as well, so go check them out.
- 43:10Speaker 6: Trash Rangers dot Com.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 43:42Speaker 2: by Community Steel.
- 43:53Speaker 4: All Right, welcome back in Oh TB. Your Tuesday show
- 43:57Speaker 4: is brought to you by Community Steel ministeel Co dot com,
- 44:00Speaker 4: Community steel co dot com. Well, tam Bay Buccaneers aren't
- 44:07Speaker 4: gonna have Mike Evans. He's on their team anymore. He's
- 44:10Speaker 4: three year deal with the San Francisco forty nine ers.
- 44:14Speaker 4: He loves base cities. He loves base cities. I did
- 44:17Speaker 4: not think he was gonna get a three years, but
- 44:19Speaker 4: shout out to him. He's been to Green Bay. He
- 44:22Speaker 4: said there's a not a building tall enough for him,
- 44:26Speaker 4: So he's going to San Francisco building. I mean, he
- 44:30Speaker 4: just likes big cities.
- 44:31Speaker 3: I think you know.
- 44:33Speaker 4: There's David Busters though.
- 44:34Speaker 3: That's a good move for.
- 44:37Speaker 4: It's a great Dave and Busters. Yeah, when they're in
- 44:39Speaker 4: the draft last year.
- 44:41Speaker 3: AnyWho.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Uh so he's going to the forty nine ers. I
- 44:43Speaker 4: love that move for them. It gives them actually a
- 44:44Speaker 4: receiver they can trust and not Brandon Ayuk or you
- 44:47Speaker 4: know Ricky Piersaw who has been good when he hadn't
- 44:50Speaker 4: been heard but he's shot. Yeah, it has got in
- 44:53Speaker 4: the street. The thing that that's wild about it, that
- 44:57Speaker 4: actually didn't keep him out for as long as some
- 44:58Speaker 4: of the ankles.
- 44:59Speaker 8: Right, he splayed more games than Brandon.
- 45:01Speaker 6: I you that, like Mike Evans not like read about
- 45:03Speaker 6: the electromagnetic fields around their practice.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Issues.
- 45:09Speaker 9: Somebody was like Evans around the electromagnetic field is not
- 45:12Speaker 9: great because he was hurt all last year.
- 45:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not good. I did like to move though.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Speaking of the Tampa Bay Bucks, the other Bay in
- 45:20Speaker 4: the game, weell, I like that great, great pickup for them.
- 45:23Speaker 4: We talked about him Tampa Bay. Oh yeah, he talked
- 45:27Speaker 4: about what he was for the Steelers at the end
- 45:28Speaker 4: of last year. He was there off, he was their
- 45:30Speaker 4: player MVP voted their m v P of their team. Yeah,
- 45:33Speaker 4: like he was incredible. I wanted him to be the same.
- 45:36Speaker 9: He's a good change of bays for Bucky Irvy last
- 45:40Speaker 9: year for Shad why it fits to him, which just
- 45:42Speaker 9: kind of a poor man's Bucky Irvy. You didn't really
- 45:44Speaker 9: get anything different. Kenneth Walker is a good change of
- 45:47Speaker 9: base said. He's a little bit different than Bucky Irvy.
- 45:49Speaker 6: He's a lot different. Like he can he can catch
- 45:50Speaker 6: them all down the field. You split him out a
- 45:52Speaker 6: receiver and he can run. I saw him. Oh, there
- 45:58Speaker 6: was that one play towards the end. I don't know
- 45:59Speaker 6: if it was like the game to get in the
- 46:01Speaker 6: playoffs or right, it was a game that mattered. He
- 46:03Speaker 6: made an unbelievable yeah catch he was to get him
- 46:06Speaker 6: in the playoffs.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so too.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Helloy player Jaylen Phillips goes to the Carolina Panthers edge
- 46:14Speaker 4: rusher one hundred and twenty million dollars, big.
- 46:18Speaker 3: Moves, can you pick it? Goes to the Panthers as well.
- 46:20Speaker 4: He did say a half million dollars. Memphis wasn't very
- 46:24Speaker 4: excited about that one. All right, We'll talk more New
- 46:26Speaker 4: Orleans Saints where I got Nick Underhill New Orleans, not football.
- 46:29Speaker 4: When we come back, our number three OTV off the bench,
