- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music is.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ninety four nine.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Honestly, one of the best parts of the morning is
- 0:07Speaker 3: being able to just open the mics have conversations that
- 0:10Speaker 3: we're having off site of the mics because they're actually,
- 0:14Speaker 3: I think better with the bigger picture. It's the Magic
- 0:17Speaker 3: Unfiltered Podcast with Scotty and Abby's Abby, are you ready
- 0:20Speaker 3: to dive into this?
- 0:21Speaker 2: I'm so ready. I'm on the edge of the diving
- 0:23Speaker 2: board and I am prepared to jump off.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Scotty, Well, here's what we were talking about before I actually
- 0:27Speaker 3: turned on the mics, because we were just days away
- 0:29Speaker 3: from Valentine's Day. We were live on Instagram talking about
- 0:32Speaker 3: this and it is the first time I'm going to
- 0:34Speaker 3: be single on Valentine's Day in a long time.
- 0:38Speaker 2: You just got out of a four year relationship, and
- 0:40Speaker 2: before then you were in a how long relationship?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Another four year relationship, so.
- 0:44Speaker 2: You haven't been single on Valentine's Day in eight years?
- 0:48Speaker 1: Correct?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Were you dating someone before the other four year relationship?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yeah, probably my then high school girlfriend.
- 0:53Speaker 3: It has been long relationship after long relationship after long relationship,
- 0:57Speaker 3: and I'm grateful for all of them. They all gave
- 1:02Speaker 3: me such great experiences and memories and love. And I'm
- 1:06Speaker 3: also I'm really trying my best to make sure that
- 1:09Speaker 3: this time I don't just jump into a relationship. I
- 1:12Speaker 3: want to have at least a year of just rediscovery. Yeah,
- 1:16Speaker 3: finding out who I am, what I like, what I'm
- 1:18Speaker 3: going after, my life in general.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You're doing all of that, but I mean, I appreciate
- 1:23Speaker 2: that explanation, but let's get into the relationship that you're
- 1:25Speaker 2: jumping into now.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I was telling Abby that as I've started just like
- 1:31Speaker 3: talking to people and I've gone to speed dating events,
- 1:34Speaker 3: and there's certain connections that I have with certain people
- 1:37Speaker 3: that there are I guess the exciting thing is that
- 1:39Speaker 3: there are certain sparks that have already been formed, which
- 1:42Speaker 3: is wild. There's one side of it that's extremely exciting.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I love love playing out simple. I'm not a good
- 1:50Speaker 3: single guy, and I could connect that to obviously my
- 1:53Speaker 3: past when I was single for the last time, it
- 1:55Speaker 3: was like three months before I jumped in again to
- 1:57Speaker 3: another relationship.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's because I love doing the loving stuff.
- 2:00Speaker 3: And there are certain people that I have connections with
- 2:03Speaker 3: that you know what, we will talk on occasion, many
- 2:06Speaker 3: occasions we won't FaceTime, and I love that. So now
- 2:11Speaker 3: with Valentine's Day coming up, my biggest thing is would
- 2:18Speaker 3: it be inappropriate to even send just like a happy
- 2:22Speaker 3: Valentine's Day.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Gift to which one say?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Which one like I got.
- 2:29Speaker 2: In the words of the grate philosopher a bad bunny,
- 2:32Speaker 2: which I know.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Of, y'all, let's just keep in general, would it be
- 2:37Speaker 3: inappropriate to send anything to anybody?
- 2:40Speaker 2: So, I guess it depends on the context of where
- 2:43Speaker 2: you are in the relationship with this lady, whoever she
- 2:47Speaker 2: may be, wherever she might be located. Has she presented
- 2:51Speaker 2: you with any gifts or any inklings that she might
- 2:54Speaker 2: want to spend Valentine's Day with you?
- 2:56Speaker 3: I don't think there's been any inklings of what's been
- 2:58Speaker 3: super fun is it's been very supportive. It's like we
- 3:00Speaker 3: support each other on our single adventures. That's something that
- 3:04Speaker 3: I wanted to make sure as I'm dating, I'm super
- 3:06Speaker 3: open and honest about that. I just got out of
- 3:09Speaker 3: a relationship. I'm not looking to jump into anything serious
- 3:11Speaker 3: right now. I'm simply just going with the flow of
- 3:14Speaker 3: life that's out there in the open now. As we
- 3:17Speaker 3: support each other, all these singles.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Adventures we have.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Also, like, I believe you know, she has sent me
- 3:23Speaker 3: a gift in the past, which is super nice. And
- 3:26Speaker 3: it's also something that I brought up with my roommate.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I was like, should I send a gift because I
- 3:32Speaker 3: think that'd be super sweet, and his advice was, dude, absolutely, women,
- 3:40Speaker 3: would they deserve.
- 3:41Speaker 1: To feel love on Valentine's Day? Send a gift. But
- 3:45Speaker 1: then my old thought.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Pattern kicked in and I was like, Okay, if you do,
- 3:49Speaker 3: will it send a message that you want something even
- 3:52Speaker 3: more serious than you're presenting. Now here's where it's conflicting.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Could I see a future, yes, But also I know myself,
- 4:01Speaker 3: I'm just trying to continue to be single and I
- 4:03Speaker 3: don't want to lead anybody on.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So that's the conflict right now.
- 4:06Speaker 2: My opinion is, don't tell me you don't want to
- 4:10Speaker 2: be my boyfriend and then treat me like I'm your girlfriend.
- 4:13Speaker 1: That's a great point. Boom, Holy crap.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I think that's actually all that needs to be said,
- 4:18Speaker 3: because that's the thing that that's where I think I
- 4:23Speaker 3: f up all the time. It's because I love being
- 4:26Speaker 3: that boyfriend role. I love one making sure that you
- 4:28Speaker 3: feel loved. It's one of my favorite things. But I
- 4:32Speaker 3: also like winning, so it's I'll do whatever it takes
- 4:36Speaker 3: to make sure that I'm like, I'm top of mind,
- 4:39Speaker 3: especially because I don't want to have you top of
- 4:42Speaker 3: my mind and I'm not top of yours.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So there is a slippery slope.
- 4:48Speaker 3: There that if I send something, then I'm stepping into
- 4:49Speaker 3: boyfriend territory where I'm not trying to be boyfriend territory
- 4:53Speaker 3: right now, and that would give the wrong impression.
- 4:55Speaker 2: So that's a common theme I hear amongst a lot
- 4:58Speaker 2: of my galpals. Is one of the frustrations we have
- 5:01Speaker 2: with guys is your words don't line up with your actions.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And it's totally fine if your words are I'm not
- 5:08Speaker 2: looking for anything serious, but then don't confuse me by
- 5:12Speaker 2: matching your actions up with boyfriend behavior.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You're ready for a dumb guy brain?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Okay?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Could I explain that? Though?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Like, could I send something and be like, look, I'm
- 5:22Speaker 3: I can't.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Think of anything more offensive than a phone call after
- 5:27Speaker 2: you send me like, I don't know what would you?
- 5:29Speaker 2: What do you want to send this girl?
- 5:30Speaker 3: Let's just say I send flowers in edible arrangement, something sweet,
- 5:35Speaker 3: just maybe it's not the right timing then, because it
- 5:38Speaker 3: would send the single like of hey, or we're something
- 5:41Speaker 3: more serious then I have the capacity to take on
- 5:45Speaker 3: right now.
- 5:46Speaker 1: God, this is what I'm not good at being single.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And it sucks because I don't want you to not
- 5:50Speaker 2: do something nice for her.
- 5:52Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I still want to do something nice, but I also, again,
- 5:55Speaker 3: I don't want that reaction to be like, well, don't
- 5:57Speaker 3: act like a boyfriend if you're not a boyfriend.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It feels a little bit and let me get let
- 6:02Speaker 2: me put this out there. If you send her flowers
- 6:03Speaker 2: is not the end of the world, hey go, but
- 6:05Speaker 2: it does feel a little bit like you're stepping over
- 6:09Speaker 2: an unspoken boundary.
- 6:11Speaker 1: By just doing too much.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's not that you're doing too much, but you're gonna
- 6:15Speaker 2: now confuse me because if you send me flowers on
- 6:18Speaker 2: Valentine's Day and then two months down the road you're like, well, actually,
- 6:21Speaker 2: I don't want to be your boyfriend. Member. I told
- 6:23Speaker 2: you I want you to be and my boyfriend, and
- 6:24Speaker 2: I'm like, but he treated me like I was his girlfriend. Like,
- 6:26Speaker 2: regardless of what you're saying, your actions really speak everything.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Would it be better just to not do it on
- 6:31Speaker 3: Valentine's Day but still send something nice.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I almost feel like that's better because Valentine's Day does
- 6:38Speaker 2: feel associated with some kind of commitment, whereas if you
- 6:41Speaker 2: just sent me a random little flower to my office
- 6:45Speaker 2: and just said no, I don't even know if that
- 6:48Speaker 2: would be good. I think it does feel less serious
- 6:50Speaker 2: if it's not Valentine's Day.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Now here's where I'm at because I like being, you know,
- 6:54Speaker 3: so open and so honest. But would it be too
- 6:56Speaker 3: honest to even tell him that, to be like, hey
- 6:59Speaker 3: like it just by the way he I dumb boy brain.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I could just picture the little card that comes with
- 7:05Speaker 2: these beautiful flowers. Her entire office is going to be thrilled.
- 7:08Speaker 2: They're gonna be like, oh my god, these hydrangers are
- 7:11Speaker 2: so gorgeous. How much did he spend on you, random
- 7:13Speaker 2: girl whom I don't know the name of. It's so incredible,
- 7:16Speaker 2: that's so great. What does the card saying? And it's
- 7:18Speaker 2: gonna say thinking of you on this very special day,
- 7:21Speaker 2: girl who I kissed once. Love You're not boyfriend, but
- 7:26Speaker 2: is totally acting like a boyfriend not boyfriend boyfriend.
- 7:29Speaker 3: But I just want to make sure that you feel
- 7:30Speaker 3: loved on Valentine's Day?
- 7:33Speaker 2: What you don't do? You love her, you don't need
- 7:37Speaker 2: to make her feel loved. I think my final I.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Bet if she was hearing this, she would say, I'm good,
- 7:44Speaker 3: like I don't need like I've been single. I'm okay
- 7:47Speaker 3: with not feeling somebody loving me on Valentine's Day. Don't
- 7:52Speaker 3: act like you're coming in like some hero to save me.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I don't need saving And I think that's a key
- 7:57Speaker 3: thing to remember.
- 7:58Speaker 2: My final answer, I think is if you want this
- 8:01Speaker 2: girl to be your girlfriend at some point, send her
- 8:03Speaker 2: the flowers. But if you're in a place where you're
- 8:06Speaker 2: not ready to offer that kind of commitment, I think
- 8:09Speaker 2: it is sending mixed messages that are going to bite
- 8:11Speaker 2: you in the ass.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Well how long would that time?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Because I really don't think I will be in a
- 8:16Speaker 3: relationship and this could bite me in the butt and
- 8:18Speaker 3: the best way down the line.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But I do see it like at least for a year, you.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Know, me not being in a relationship for a year, huh,
- 8:27Speaker 3: because I've never given myself that and I don't know
- 8:30Speaker 3: if like would that be as a slippery conversation Jesus,
- 8:37Speaker 3: like like because you said, Okay, if you don't think
- 8:39Speaker 3: you could ever be my boyfriend, then don't send the flowers.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I don't think that. I think there's actually maybe a possibility, but.
- 8:44Speaker 2: In a year.
- 8:45Speaker 1: That's why I'm asking.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, is I hear the words that
- 8:48Speaker 2: you're saying, but I also see what you're doing, and
- 8:51Speaker 2: you're on it's like somebody going on a diet.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Ah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Let me let me get this. Let me spit some
- 8:57Speaker 2: some facts out of here. If I came to you
- 8:59Speaker 2: and I said I want to lose ten pounds by
- 9:02Speaker 2: next month, and you see me order the cinnamon pancakes
- 9:05Speaker 2: at Metro Diner like I did yesterday, it looks so good.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You're going like, yeah, girl, live your best life. But
- 9:10Speaker 2: at the same time, your actions are not lining up
- 9:12Speaker 2: with what you say that you want. Gosh, oh, it
- 9:16Speaker 2: doesn't it hurt when I spit facts?
- 9:19Speaker 1: It does?
- 9:19Speaker 3: It does, because it's just I know myself right now,
- 9:23Speaker 3: and there's something I really like, and there's something I
- 9:26Speaker 3: really want, but there's also something I know I need,
- 9:29Speaker 3: and I need the time, and I need the space,
- 9:31Speaker 3: and I need this opportunity to just grow even though
- 9:35Speaker 3: there's so many conflicting polls in me that are.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Like, go for it, step up as a boyfriend, and
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm like, Scott, no, you're got a boyfriend, correct.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So I think it would be best to just to
- 9:48Speaker 3: not just leave Valentine's Day alone, send something else random
- 9:52Speaker 3: that could just be down the line, just as like fun,
- 9:54Speaker 3: like friends do that, Like what just send gifts randomly?
- 10:00Speaker 2: What are you going to send her, Scottie, send her
- 10:04Speaker 2: like a like a like an elf.
- 10:07Speaker 3: No, I send like practical things, but I like, oh god,
- 10:10Speaker 3: I guess Valentine's Day.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Enjoy these Maxi pads something. You know what I Meantacarter?
- 10:18Speaker 1: I was gonna Instacarter some food something.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:21Speaker 1: God, that's because it's not super.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Romantic, but it's practical. It shows that I'm thinking of you,
- 10:27Speaker 3: and I like the show.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Happy Valentine's Day. Enjoy this sirloin.
- 10:33Speaker 1: There's a bushel of apple.
- 10:35Speaker 2: There's not a bushel. Don't you be talking about that
- 10:38Speaker 2: girl's bushel.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I just you know, I have a hard time of separating.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I guess where I stand as a friend, especially because again,
- 10:51Speaker 3: it would be silly for me to say there's not
- 10:53Speaker 3: feelings involved. There's definitely feelings, of course, but what I'm
- 10:56Speaker 3: battling is like what they do about those feelings. So
- 10:58Speaker 3: I'm glad we have this conversation because the advice that
- 11:00Speaker 3: I got would have had me mailing something today to
- 11:03Speaker 3: make sure I got there by Saturday, which could have
- 11:05Speaker 3: led down to a whole what I don't want to
- 11:07Speaker 3: be is again, like we said a couple months down
- 11:10Speaker 3: the line, somebody's mad at me for like leading them
- 11:14Speaker 3: on that. I am trying to be so deliberate about
- 11:17Speaker 3: this chapter of my life, even when I'm going on
- 11:19Speaker 3: dates of like, oh yeah, I just that's kind of
- 11:22Speaker 3: what sucks.
- 11:22Speaker 2: It's like, are you.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Supposed to go on dates? Are you not supposed to
- 11:24Speaker 3: go on dates? Am I open to dating? Am I
- 11:27Speaker 3: just supposed to not talk to anybody?
- 11:28Speaker 2: Now? You tell me, Scotty, you say you want to
- 11:30Speaker 2: be single, yet you're two months out of a relationship
- 11:32Speaker 2: and you have more people on your roster than I've
- 11:34Speaker 2: had in the last five years.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I am navigating and learning how to do this because
- 11:39Speaker 3: what I understood is that when you get single, you
- 11:41Speaker 3: could just still casually date and keep people casually date
- 11:45Speaker 3: and they hook up and they do stuff. Well, a
- 11:47Speaker 3: hookup is different, but how do you set up a
- 11:50Speaker 3: hookup without a date?
- 11:51Speaker 2: I feel so I feel like a terrible woman because
- 11:53Speaker 2: I'm like, treat her like a hookup. Stop being so
- 11:56Speaker 2: nice to this woman.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Well this again, there's different people for like I'm not
- 12:02Speaker 3: good at just like, how do you go? And just Hi,
- 12:06Speaker 3: I'm Scott. Would you like to casually hook up without
- 12:08Speaker 3: being like an actual respectful dude? That's like, Hi, I
- 12:11Speaker 3: want to get to know you and like maybe we
- 12:12Speaker 3: go on some dates and you know, I don't know.
- 12:15Speaker 1: See that doesn't feel right either.
- 12:16Speaker 2: You don't want her to feel like a blow up doll,
- 12:17Speaker 2: which makes you a good empathetic humans.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Thank you exactly.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I get that. I do think where does even.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Hookup cultures start? Like, there's not an app? Is there
- 12:26Speaker 3: an app just for hookups?
- 12:27Speaker 2: Have you not heard of Tinder?
- 12:28Speaker 1: But that's a dating app?
- 12:29Speaker 2: It's not tender? Is for sure a hookup app? Oh?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Lord?
- 12:32Speaker 2: I downloaded? And when I was eighteen, I went to
- 12:34Speaker 2: college and I wanted to download dating apps. I downloaded it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Being naive in eighteen be like I can't wait for
- 12:39Speaker 2: a man to take me on a date. And then
- 12:40Speaker 2: I was confused why everyone was talking to me after
- 12:43Speaker 2: eleven pm.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Oh, I was like what.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, everyone's just so busy during the day.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I don't have time to reply. But my thing, I
- 12:52Speaker 3: think I win in person. But I don't know if
- 12:54Speaker 3: there's in person places that could have that same kind
- 12:56Speaker 3: of vibe of like, yeah, we're casual, not necessarily looking
- 12:59Speaker 3: for anything here, because I think my thought process is
- 13:02Speaker 3: I'm not looking for anything serious, but if something comes
- 13:05Speaker 3: out of nowhere and just rocks my socks, I'm potentially open.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Like that would be silly. Oh god, this is so complicated.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Study it's called a bar. He's like, I don't know
- 13:15Speaker 2: where I can go in person to find a willing
- 13:17Speaker 2: and enable woman to.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Have something to me.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Again, I haven't really had much experience with that because
- 13:24Speaker 3: I've been in relationships for a very long time.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Allow me to introduce you to strip clubs.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Oh, I don't think that's the same thing.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I gotta take you to Magic City in Atlanta. What
- 13:33Speaker 2: is that Magic City? I haven't even been to Magic
- 13:35Speaker 2: City yet, but it's a historic and iconic strip club
- 13:37Speaker 2: in Atlanta. Atlanta has really big strip club culture. It's
- 13:41Speaker 2: like a thing there you go get your lemon pepper wings.
- 13:43Speaker 2: You enjoyed the scenery, yes.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You have you been to the ones here?
- 13:47Speaker 2: I I'm scared of the ones in Tampa. I feel
- 13:50Speaker 2: like it's fun in camp in Atlanta, Tampa, I feel
- 13:52Speaker 2: like I would leave with hepatitis.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Well, there are definitely different styles, but we do know
- 14:00Speaker 3: like the owner, like the couple biggest ones here in Tampa,
- 14:04Speaker 3: and like twenty one Odyssey or whatever, like that's what
- 14:06Speaker 3: it is. Yeah, it's called no, no, no, no, I'm messing
- 14:09Speaker 3: it up. It's it's Odyssey. Yeah, yeah, something like that.
- 14:12Speaker 2: That's our competitor, no honesty, the radio.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Brain story, the spaceship one. Have you seen the spaceship Oh?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Odyssey, Like yeah, oh.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Yeah, ys correct that the radio company.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think in Odyssey a U Dacy.
- 14:25Speaker 3: No, not them, I'm thinking of the spaceship over on
- 14:27Speaker 3: Dale Maybray. That's like the staple in Tampa. And then
- 14:30Speaker 3: there's another one across the street that's like uh again,
- 14:34Speaker 3: I've only gone like maybe twice, and you go with
- 14:37Speaker 3: like a group of friends and it's super fun.
- 14:39Speaker 1: It's very warm and welcoming. I wonder what it's like
- 14:41Speaker 1: in Atlanta.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Like probably. I mean, I think it's fun. I think
- 14:43Speaker 2: it's rowdy. I think it's more normalized in Atlanta.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Wait, did you go to one in Atlanta?
- 14:47Speaker 2: So I haven't been to a strip club in Atlanta.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Have you ever been to a strip club in general?
- 14:50Speaker 2: I think in New Orleans. I went to one when
- 14:52Speaker 2: I was eighteen because I couldn't get into the twenty
- 14:54Speaker 2: one ut bars. So we're like, let's go to the
- 14:56Speaker 2: strip club.
- 14:56Speaker 1: What do you think where your impressions?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Not a fan? And that's when I was like, I'm.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, you weren't like, oh wait a second, In
- 15:03Speaker 1: case there.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Was any doubt there, I'm like, yeah, I think that's
- 15:06Speaker 2: I think I do like men.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, have you ever been to like, I know they
- 15:09Speaker 3: do the down Under Thunder down Under in like Vegas?
- 15:12Speaker 3: Have you ever gone to like a show like that?
- 15:13Speaker 2: I've never been to Vegas. I do think I would
- 15:16Speaker 2: enjoy like a magic mic moment.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I could. I mean I could see you enjoying that.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, me too.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Well, I mean, you know, it does seem like a
- 15:25Speaker 3: lot of good entertainment. But I'm curious when you went
- 15:28Speaker 3: to the strip club, who are you with?
- 15:29Speaker 2: It was? I think you just go with like a
- 15:31Speaker 2: group of friends. And I've heard Atlanta culture it's more
- 15:34Speaker 2: of like a just like a fun night out. You go,
- 15:36Speaker 2: you get some wings, you hang out, you watch the girls,
- 15:38Speaker 2: maybe get a lap dance. I think it's more like
- 15:41Speaker 2: normalized or not.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I feel like it's that vibe here, not necessarily.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I think normalized is the wrong word. But it's not
- 15:47Speaker 2: as silacious, like the undercurrent isn't as silacious as it sounds. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 2: you're going to the strip club necessarily to make out
- 15:56Speaker 2: with the stripper.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Correct, You're just.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Going because it's like the vibe.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yes, And I think we have a lot of places
- 16:01Speaker 3: like that here that are like, oh, it's you know,
- 16:03Speaker 3: it's classy, it's fun, but it's also again it's it's sensual,
- 16:08Speaker 3: and it's it's it's a lot to take in. Like
- 16:11Speaker 3: the first time I ever went to one was for
- 16:12Speaker 3: a friend's bachelor party, and I was completely mind blown
- 16:16Speaker 3: of walking in and I was like, I had no
- 16:18Speaker 3: idea this was going to be there. I did not
- 16:20Speaker 3: know this is all going to be shown, and I
- 16:21Speaker 3: don't know what to do with myself. I was like,
- 16:23Speaker 3: did we just sit here like we're watching a movie?
- 16:25Speaker 3: And we're just your legs crossed, like, oh, this is nice.
- 16:27Speaker 1: They're doing great.
- 16:28Speaker 3: So literally like the first time they're doing tricks up there,
- 16:31Speaker 3: and just I'm like applauding, like this is awesome because
- 16:34Speaker 3: I do as somebody that's like super into health and fitness,
- 16:36Speaker 3: I'm like, you know how much strength it takes.
- 16:38Speaker 1: To climb up that dang bowl.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Scotty's going up and like shaking the stripper's hands.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Yes, I'm like, oh my god, what an honor to
- 16:44Speaker 3: meet you. How did you do that thing at the
- 16:45Speaker 3: top where you spun your legs? Like truly impressive. That's
- 16:49Speaker 3: really the big, like the biggest part when I go,
- 16:51Speaker 3: I'm like, honestly, very impressive they're doing. They really do,
- 16:56Speaker 3: and I don't think they get enough credit because I
- 16:58Speaker 3: think when people think of like a club like that,
- 16:59Speaker 3: they're like, ah, how could they And I'm like, if
- 17:02Speaker 3: you only knew, oh my god.
- 17:06Speaker 2: All the way to the bank, as they should, they.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Rack up, they rack up. I know, well, I contributed
- 17:15Speaker 3: to whatever funds they needed.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I did.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I'm not as much as the guy next to me.
- 17:19Speaker 3: He took wads of cash and through it, but you
- 17:21Speaker 3: know what, I definitely helped.
- 17:22Speaker 2: God, He's like, please take my Venmo whatever you want.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Absolutely not and that's why you know what it's on occasion,
- 17:28Speaker 3: it's two three times maybe, and that's what the big
- 17:31Speaker 3: group and a big party. I think we went from
- 17:32Speaker 3: a buddy's like thirtieth birthday this past year and like
- 17:35Speaker 3: literally our girlfriends came. It was a whole big thing.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It was fun that it was an adventurous night out.
- 17:41Speaker 3: But one of these nights it needs to be an Atlanta.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Kind of night double road trip up to a magic.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You're supposed to eat them there too, Like you're eating.
- 17:52Speaker 2: In front of the women, the dancers.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That just seems like, ma, you know what, to each
- 17:57Speaker 1: their own.
- 17:57Speaker 3: But for Valentine's Day as a single person, what you
- 18:00Speaker 3: do then abby like for you because I'm thinking what
- 18:04Speaker 3: I've wanted to do is like I'll book my own massage.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I'll take myself out to dinner and I'll like pamper
- 18:11Speaker 3: myself where it's like maybe I'll go to my sauna
- 18:13Speaker 3: place that I go over here Iceberg, Cold Plunge love
- 18:16Speaker 3: them shout out yeah, and I'll go home and wrap
- 18:19Speaker 3: myself up in a blanket and watch a movie, drink tea.
- 18:22Speaker 1: This is and you want to see the real side
- 18:24Speaker 1: of Scott Like, that's.
- 18:24Speaker 2: What I love. This is how I know you're new
- 18:26Speaker 2: to being single because I'm I didn't even really clock
- 18:30Speaker 2: that it was Valentine's Day this weekend. I mean mentally
- 18:32Speaker 2: I did, because I know we have to talk about
- 18:34Speaker 2: it and stuff. But it's just another day, you know
- 18:38Speaker 2: what I mean. That's it's yeah. But when you remember
- 18:43Speaker 2: it as a day I love.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I remember it somebody love is that JB.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I remember it as another day of just being single,
- 18:48Speaker 2: a day where you have to avoid restaurants. I do
- 18:50Speaker 2: remember it as at like, Okay, I'm probably not gonna
- 18:52Speaker 2: be able to go out to eat that night. But
- 18:55Speaker 2: other than that, it's just I'm not new to this.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm true to this.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Well, you don't do anything special than to treat yourself,
- 19:01Speaker 3: because that's what everybody on Instagram talks about.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It's a day to treat yourself self love. That's what
- 19:05Speaker 1: everybody says.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I think it's a fun day to go out to
- 19:07Speaker 2: the bars because you're single and everybody else at the
- 19:10Speaker 2: bars is probably single too.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Wow, So it's like an automatic you know, everyone's in
- 19:14Speaker 3: the clear here. You don't even need the green wrist band.
- 19:16Speaker 2: It's a go, yeah, because if you're out on February
- 19:18Speaker 2: fourteenth at a club, you're more than likely looking for
- 19:21Speaker 2: love as well.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 19:25Speaker 3: But I was always told that that's where it gets
- 19:28Speaker 3: kind of tricky, because like, if you meet somebody on
- 19:30Speaker 3: Valentine's Day, are you looking for something more serious than
- 19:33Speaker 3: somebody else might be And you're like, oh, you're obviously
- 19:36Speaker 3: looking for love, and I'm not looking for love now,
- 19:38Speaker 3: we're just looking for this love of the night.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I mean, I think it could be either or I
- 19:42Speaker 2: don't think necessarily because you're going to the club, you're
- 19:44Speaker 2: like looking for a boyfriend. It could be very much
- 19:46Speaker 2: the situation that you're looking for where you want to
- 19:48Speaker 2: go to the club and you just want a respectful
- 19:51Speaker 2: conversation that leads.
- 19:52Speaker 1: To more and that's it, a nice respectful conversation.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I like that that was phrase, Hey, you gotta use
- 19:58Speaker 2: your body language.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Gosh, but those the scenes are just not me.
- 20:01Speaker 3: That's where it's like, that's actually probably and I know
- 20:04Speaker 3: there's a lot of single people that understand this. That's
- 20:06Speaker 3: probably the hardest part. It's like, I'm not a big
- 20:08Speaker 3: bar goer, I'm definitely not a big club goer. Like
- 20:11Speaker 3: I'm like, wake up early on a Saturday, see the sunrise,
- 20:15Speaker 3: do a nice job, go to a coffee shop kind
- 20:17Speaker 3: of guy.
- 20:18Speaker 1: At night, maybe I'll go and.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Get some kombucha, okay, if I'm feeling crazy. Even last
- 20:24Speaker 3: night it was too crazy. It was trivia that started
- 20:25Speaker 3: at six thirty, and I was like, it's too late,
- 20:27Speaker 3: can't do it. So that's where I'm like, gosh, where
- 20:30Speaker 3: am I going to meet somebody?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Well, you're not having any trouble, well, Scott, He's like,
- 20:35Speaker 2: where will I find a woman? Text? Text text, sex
- 20:38Speaker 2: text text?
- 20:39Speaker 1: I get, Oh, yeah, yeah, it's okay. You maybe feel
- 20:42Speaker 1: like I got this bench. I don't. I don't. I've
- 20:44Speaker 1: had a lot of great conversations.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Maybe it's just because I just moved here, or because
- 20:47Speaker 2: I'm really fatigued by being single. But I'm like, you're
- 20:50Speaker 2: doing well, Like you're gonna be booed up before I am.
- 20:52Speaker 1: That's the goal is not to be booed up before Abby.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I think Abby's gonna be the one that's hacking with
- 20:57Speaker 3: a boy and the next I'm gonna say, let's see.
- 20:59Speaker 3: We're in February I'm gonna say by August, there's gonna
- 21:05Speaker 3: be somebody official.
- 21:06Speaker 2: August. You think I'm gonna be official?
- 21:07Speaker 1: This is the twenty twenty six predictions.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Everybody from the bird shows like, yes, not a chance.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Ah well, I think it's a new It's literally a
- 21:14Speaker 3: whole new chapter. It's like you have moved, You're on
- 21:18Speaker 3: a new show. You step into a new environment. Maybe
- 21:21Speaker 3: you're more open to it.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I've always been open to it.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I've always been looking for love.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Look, that's why February fourteenth is just another day.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Yeah, screw Valentine's Day. I'm gonna be the sour single
- 21:32Speaker 3: person I love.
- 21:34Speaker 2: When you've been single for so long, it just is
- 21:39Speaker 2: just another Like every day, there's sort of this low
- 21:42Speaker 2: grade and I this is so dramatic to call it grief.
- 21:45Speaker 2: There's just this low grade fatigue that you have with it. Oh,
- 21:48Speaker 2: I'm sure, especially when you don't have women or men
- 21:51Speaker 2: coming out of your life in God okay, Oh yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 2: women are men swinging through your life on a consistent basis,
- 21:59Speaker 2: you know what I mean. I think it'd be different
- 22:01Speaker 2: if I had a crush or like a couple of
- 22:04Speaker 2: people I was talking to. But I think when you
- 22:07Speaker 2: are so void of that area of your life, you're
- 22:09Speaker 2: just like, yeah, this is just what you know what
- 22:12Speaker 2: it is.
- 22:12Speaker 3: I think we got to change up the scenery where
- 22:14Speaker 3: you're meeting these You're meeting a bunch of just Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 3: I was gonna call a bunch of fish just like
- 22:20Speaker 3: fish dudes. You mean fish dudes. I don't know what
- 22:23Speaker 3: it even means, but I think you're meeting just fish dudes.
- 22:25Speaker 2: What does that even mean?
- 22:26Speaker 1: I mean you're not meeting the right.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Kind of like I have always pictured, I'm going to
- 22:30Speaker 3: go to the right environment so I can find the
- 22:32Speaker 3: right person. So if I'm going to a bar, I'm
- 22:35Speaker 3: probably meet a bunch of dudes that are just like
- 22:36Speaker 3: frat dudes. Are you looking for a frat dude?
- 22:38Speaker 2: I kind of love a friend.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Well, how does that helped so much?
- 22:42Speaker 2: I love so My toxic trait is that I love
- 22:45Speaker 2: just like a boring man. I love a man who
- 22:49Speaker 2: works in accounting, who likes to golf, who works out
- 22:54Speaker 2: on the weekends, who has a stable relationship with his father,
- 23:00Speaker 2: has never cheated on a girl like I. When if
- 23:02Speaker 2: I could picture a man that I'm going to be
- 23:04Speaker 2: attracted to, it's like a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 23:08Speaker 2: So I'm not asking for much. I know, don't want
- 23:11Speaker 2: someone to cheat on me.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But that's not asking for much. That is literally bare minimum.
- 23:16Speaker 3: All I'm asking is for loyalty unless you guys decide
- 23:19Speaker 3: to be Polly and that's your own things you could
- 23:21Speaker 3: be swinging through and that's this area is big from that.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Did you know that? How would you know that?
- 23:25Speaker 3: I know I am monogamous, monogamous, yeah, but this area
- 23:30Speaker 3: is big on swingers and nudists. Okay, talk to me
- 23:33Speaker 3: about the swingers culture in Tampa. Well, I don't really
- 23:36Speaker 3: know much about it because I'm not a swinger.
- 23:38Speaker 2: But you know that there's a swinger culture that's a
- 23:40Speaker 2: different I know.
- 23:41Speaker 3: There's a swinger culture. I know there is like events
- 23:43Speaker 3: specifically designed for them. I know there's nights that, especially
- 23:47Speaker 3: at certain resorts, you could go and live your best
- 23:51Speaker 3: swinger life.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Okay, that's pretty much the extent to what I know.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I just know it happens.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Okay, It's not something i've necessarily like completely like drawing off.
- 24:00Speaker 3: I have friends that are swingers that you know what,
- 24:04Speaker 3: they'll go out and you're next. They come along, come
- 24:09Speaker 3: on over. They bring in an extra teammate. That's awesome.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Good for them. That's kind of the extent to what
- 24:14Speaker 3: next to that home late.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Girl from the county?
- 24:18Speaker 1: What was your name again?
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but there's also a massive like nudist culture here
- 24:22Speaker 3: where it's like you go up to, like me driving
- 24:24Speaker 3: up the Landa Lakes, massive nudist resorts.
- 24:27Speaker 2: What Okay? So I actually just had a conversation with
- 24:30Speaker 2: one of my friends about this. I was shocked because
- 24:33Speaker 2: she's a very straight laced human being that I assumed
- 24:36Speaker 2: her family was very straight laced. She looks at me
- 24:39Speaker 2: and she goes, yeah, my parents are actually members at
- 24:41Speaker 2: this newdist club up in blah blah blah part of Atlanta,
- 24:44Speaker 2: and I was like, I looked at her like she
- 24:46Speaker 2: had four heads. I was like, what do you mean
- 24:47Speaker 2: what do they do? And she's like, yeah, you just
- 24:49Speaker 2: like pay a membership fee and you show up and
- 24:51Speaker 2: it's clothing optional.
- 24:53Speaker 3: That I mean, apparently they have awesome events. I know
- 24:56Speaker 3: somebody that they talk about it very openly about what
- 25:00Speaker 3: they do over there, and I think, for me, my
- 25:02Speaker 3: mind immediately goes to, oh my god, it has to
- 25:04Speaker 3: just be like a like a crazy like you know,
- 25:07Speaker 3: everyone's just doing it and it's not. It's just kind
- 25:09Speaker 3: of like life wole nude. It's karaoke nights, it's Wow nude.
- 25:13Speaker 2: It's funny because it's always older people too. Yeah, you
- 25:16Speaker 2: think that we would want to join nudist colonies when
- 25:19Speaker 2: we're young and hot.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I don't think I'm mature enough for it.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Define mature enough, because my brain still.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Goes to the part that's like, oh, that has to
- 25:28Speaker 1: be like does everyone soaken up? And I don't think
- 25:30Speaker 1: they are though.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Though I don't know because I've literally never been I've
- 25:34Speaker 3: never even been to like a nudist beach, and we
- 25:37Speaker 3: have some like twenty five minutes up the road.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Nudist beaches in Tampa.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Yeah, this really is.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I always forget how wild Florida is. We have the
- 25:46Speaker 2: Church of Scientology down the street, nudist colonies right up
- 25:49Speaker 2: the streets from there. Yep, men who graduated from FSU.
- 25:52Speaker 2: That's right, all equally insane.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Everything's so scary, everything's terified down here. There's a lot
- 25:57Speaker 3: to see, but that a lot to see, I.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Would assume, so I would I would hope there would
- 26:02Speaker 2: be a lot to see, but disappointing to walk around
- 26:05Speaker 2: and it's like not much.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like this is not
- 26:07Speaker 3: a boring area to live in. But I also do
- 26:10Speaker 3: think you could spread your horizons on meeting someone that's
- 26:13Speaker 3: maybe maybe boring enough for you, but also changing the
- 26:17Speaker 3: areas that we look And I don't think so far.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Abby's just you've done a lot of stuff in Tampa.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think Tampa's gonna be it.
- 26:25Speaker 2: It's not I know this about myself yet. It is
- 26:28Speaker 2: sort of like that guy used to hook up with
- 26:31Speaker 2: in college you keep returning back to and you're like.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I know what this is wrong, Like I'm gonna do
- 26:35Speaker 1: it because it just satisfies my needs right now.
- 26:36Speaker 2: There.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good as a moment.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Where do you think a good place to go in
- 26:41Speaker 2: Saint Pete would be to meet a vanilla bean man?
- 26:45Speaker 1: I would go to one of these, like either one
- 26:49Speaker 1: of these festival nights I would go to.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Don't put me down for a festival, No.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Well, okay, there's different festivals. I would have to look
- 26:55Speaker 3: at their list of activities. But like I went to
- 26:58Speaker 3: the one speed dating event, I went to a komboo place.
- 27:00Speaker 3: What doesn't sound like it would be this crazy cool event,
- 27:04Speaker 3: but it was awesome because it was just different walks
- 27:06Speaker 3: of life all in one room.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Like I'm looking for the.
- 27:08Speaker 3: People that are out and about actively looking because I
- 27:11Speaker 3: feel like a bar you could just write it off
- 27:12Speaker 3: as I'm just getting a drink with friends. It's like, ah,
- 27:14Speaker 3: maybe you are, maybe you're not, but maybe you go
- 27:17Speaker 3: to like a cooler bar in Saint Pete that's like
- 27:19Speaker 3: a Fergs kind of deal, and it's like everyone's watching
- 27:21Speaker 3: a game.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You're meeting some cool.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Guys that are like, oh yeah, but they also do
- 27:25Speaker 3: these This might be out of your comfort zone.
- 27:29Speaker 1: But have you ever done like a cold plunge?
- 27:31Speaker 2: So I have done cold plunges. They're not good for
- 27:34Speaker 2: women's hormone health.
- 27:35Speaker 3: I agree, I know that I've seen that. But they
- 27:37Speaker 3: have these cold plunge parties where it's like on a
- 27:40Speaker 3: Sunday morning at like nine am, there's like a DJ,
- 27:44Speaker 3: there's a bunch of cold tubs, there's coffee, and it's
- 27:47Speaker 3: a bunch of single people.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Oh I would oh like a run club situation, like
- 27:51Speaker 2: a run club without the run so the perfect see
- 27:54Speaker 2: I actually love that because I would rather sit in
- 27:56Speaker 2: a cold tub for a minute than go on like
- 27:58Speaker 2: a two mile run.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Honestly.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I have an opportunity to actually sit and
- 28:01Speaker 3: talk to somebody, and everyone's like.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Half naked sexy. It's the horniest place on earth.
- 28:04Speaker 1: That's what I'm telling you.
- 28:06Speaker 2: It's the newdest colonies for people who should be new.
- 28:08Speaker 1: That's exactly what I'm saying. And maybe afterwards you do
- 28:11Speaker 1: get nude.
- 28:11Speaker 2: I don't know, because it's frustrated. Well then everyone's got shrinkage,
- 28:14Speaker 2: so maybe you're gonna wait and wait a little bit.
- 28:16Speaker 2: That's upresionating You think about this job is everyone does
- 28:19Speaker 2: run clubs, but I can't do a run club because.
- 28:21Speaker 1: They do walk clubs now too.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're all at like six a m.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think there's something that happened on the weekends though.
- 28:28Speaker 3: That's like there's a massive one. My friend was telling
- 28:30Speaker 3: me about m efforts that don't run.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Oh I love that.
- 28:34Speaker 3: That's like the biggest one in Tampa right now. Really
- 28:36Speaker 3: never gone, but what I hear, it's the biggest and
- 28:39Speaker 3: it's one of those where you could just walk in
- 28:41Speaker 3: most most run clubs, you don't actually have to run. Yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 3: you just show up, okay, And there's a whole group
- 28:46Speaker 3: of people that just walk.
- 28:47Speaker 2: You say that, but then I'm gonna like, no one's
- 28:49Speaker 2: gonna be impressed with me. It's gonna be all these
- 28:51Speaker 2: hot girls in the front being like, oh no, no, no.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I'll tell you here's the guy brain. We do not
- 28:55Speaker 1: give a Dauriam really let you run. We we will.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I have literally like just walked just to have a conversation.
- 29:02Speaker 3: If there's somebody that I find interesting, I don't care.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not there to get my workout in.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Some people are, but I'd say that fraction is a
- 29:08Speaker 3: lot smaller than the people that are just going there
- 29:11Speaker 3: to have a great time, because afterwards you also then.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Go get drinkstcha, so you could go get your.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Run on, or all the hot guys could go run
- 29:17Speaker 3: and you could just walk your mile while they run
- 29:19Speaker 3: three and then you hit the bar afterwards and everyone's intermingling.
- 29:24Speaker 2: It's massive because I was gonna say, I want to
- 29:27Speaker 2: show up, but usually a it's on a weekday and
- 29:29Speaker 2: we can't do that. But then also, like you, I
- 29:32Speaker 2: was walking down Bay Shore yesterday and I was looking around,
- 29:34Speaker 2: like everyone is so hot here.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I know Bay Short it's specifically it's like a runway.
- 29:40Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's a promenade.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's already beautiful area.
- 29:44Speaker 3: I mean, that's like one of the nicest areas because
- 29:46Speaker 3: the houses are beautiful, the people are beautiful, the walk
- 29:48Speaker 3: is beautiful.
- 29:49Speaker 1: You're like, okay, I better dress to impress. But there
- 29:51Speaker 1: is a run club over there.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I could give you a list of a bunch of them,
- 29:54Speaker 3: but like, that's a great area to just one meet people. Yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 3: but a nice takes over that. I can't think of
- 30:01Speaker 3: the name of it right off the top of my head.
- 30:03Speaker 3: But there's also one of Panelis that's like the panelis
- 30:05Speaker 3: run club. That one's massive too. That's over here in
- 30:07Speaker 3: Saint Pete downtown Saint Pete. They meet like twice a week, okay,
- 30:11Speaker 3: and Saturday mornings is included in that.
- 30:13Speaker 2: But what I mean by that is they're also hot.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I don't know that I can compete with Sally Soho,
- 30:17Speaker 2: who is also a good runner. So she's gonna be
- 30:18Speaker 2: up the front with hot guy number one, two and three,
- 30:20Speaker 2: and I'm gonna be in the back, Like help, I
- 30:22Speaker 2: don't know how I don't know how cardial works.
- 30:25Speaker 3: There is somebody for everybody, because that's how I feel too,
- 30:27Speaker 3: when I'm going like, these guys are freaking ripped, insane,
- 30:31Speaker 3: and I'm like, all right, I had high standards for myself,
- 30:34Speaker 3: but here's where we win. It's our great personality.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're not showing up and being like, Wow,
- 30:40Speaker 2: I bet that girl can hold one hell of a conversation.
- 30:42Speaker 3: I think so because I think a big thing I've
- 30:45Speaker 3: learned is I need somebody that's gonna be able to
- 30:47Speaker 3: go back and forth with me. This is the game
- 30:49Speaker 3: of tennis. I of course could talk all day. I'm
- 30:52Speaker 3: not interested in hearing me talk all day. I want
- 30:54Speaker 3: you to be a part of that conversation. And that,
- 30:57Speaker 3: sadly is what at least I've seen so far is
- 31:00Speaker 3: a lot of things don't work out because the person doesn't.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Know how to communicate. And that's where I know I win.
- 31:04Speaker 3: You know, there might be a lot more hot guys
- 31:06Speaker 3: than I, but I know I will win the conversation
- 31:09Speaker 3: of the personality department.
- 31:10Speaker 2: You don't give yourself enough credit. You're like an objectively
- 31:13Speaker 2: hot dude. You're Scotti the body.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I've never seen myself like that. I can't see myself
- 31:19Speaker 3: like that.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I do.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't like putting titles on things,
- 31:22Speaker 1: but I have like body dismorphia.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Like you know, I appreciate it, I don't see it,
- 31:29Speaker 3: especially when I see other guys get I think I'm
- 31:32Speaker 3: starting to find that confidence. Yeah, I'm trying to like
- 31:34Speaker 3: even fake it till I make it to be like
- 31:37Speaker 3: you know what, I could hold my own here, but
- 31:39Speaker 3: I've always led literally since the time I was twelve.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I was like, the way I'm gonna.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Win is with my body.
- 31:45Speaker 1: That will be it. Everything else I will have to
- 31:48Speaker 1: figure out.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I can't wait to objectify myself so other people objectify me.
- 31:52Speaker 3: I was like, if I don't have the cutest face
- 31:53Speaker 3: in the class, at least I could have the most
- 31:55Speaker 3: buff body. And that's literally why I started working out
- 31:57Speaker 3: in fifth grade.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I think that's why everyone works out. It's a weapon
- 32:01Speaker 2: against the crippling need to want to be loved.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Well, now you go out to these run clubs and
- 32:05Speaker 3: these guys are now, okay, well you're on the same
- 32:07Speaker 3: level as me, So shoot, now where do I win?
- 32:10Speaker 1: All right? What's your job?
- 32:12Speaker 3: Ah? Dang?
- 32:13Speaker 2: It your sales it.
- 32:15Speaker 3: I will say, I think our leverages we have pretty
- 32:17Speaker 3: cool jobs. Like I think that's kind of the It's
- 32:19Speaker 3: always been something that I try now not to bring
- 32:22Speaker 3: it up in the dating world, like immediately, yeah, because
- 32:24Speaker 3: I don't want it to be the only thing that matters.
- 32:26Speaker 3: It's like, oh, you work in radio. And as much
- 32:27Speaker 3: as people say I don't listen to radio, everybody's interested
- 32:31Speaker 3: when you say you work in radio. Yes, it's just
- 32:32Speaker 3: a cool, weird job, and you're like, you working what radio?
- 32:35Speaker 2: But it's a different appeal for women than it is
- 32:39Speaker 2: for men. Like Bert used to say this all time
- 32:41Speaker 2: on the Burt Show, that he would get girls because
- 32:43Speaker 2: he was on the radio. It is not the same
- 32:46Speaker 2: for women.
- 32:46Speaker 3: I wonder why that is, though, Like you don't think
- 32:49Speaker 3: a guy would be like, oh my god, you you're
- 32:52Speaker 3: on the morning show.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Most guys will find it interesting and appealing, like, oh,
- 32:58Speaker 2: that's cool. She is a front facing job. But at
- 33:00Speaker 2: the same time, most guys are not. They're not gospers
- 33:07Speaker 2: like women are, so they don't like to their private
- 33:10Speaker 2: life to be aired out, do you know what I mean?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yes, I definitely do.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Also, this is kind of a job that's a little
- 33:16Speaker 2: self deprecating. So at first you're kind of like this
- 33:20Speaker 2: silly goofball and a lot of guys just kind of
- 33:22Speaker 2: want to see you as like Giselle bunching at first,
- 33:24Speaker 2: before they get to know you, like they just want
- 33:26Speaker 2: to be they want to objectify you as hot girl
- 33:28Speaker 2: from the internet.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Ah yeah, I feel like the wrong guys do, because
- 33:31Speaker 3: I definitely now I know as I've gotten older, I'm
- 33:33Speaker 3: like again, I'm looking for a partner, and that's all
- 33:37Speaker 3: elements of it. I think the goofy fun side is
- 33:39Speaker 3: so much more valuable than like, oh wow, you can
- 33:41Speaker 3: get Yes, you get dressed up and all prettied up
- 33:44Speaker 3: on a Friday night, that's awesome, But like, I want
- 33:46Speaker 3: the person that I'm sitting on the couch with and
- 33:47Speaker 3: just we're having the greatest time together completely and this
- 33:51Speaker 3: is fun, unfiltered as just who we are, and obviously
- 33:55Speaker 3: we know that is the standard that we should go for.
- 33:57Speaker 3: But that's what I see more of what you'll find
- 33:59Speaker 3: in say Pete versus what you'll find in Tampa.
- 34:01Speaker 2: So I need to go to Fergs.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Well, that was the only thing I thought of, is
- 34:06Speaker 3: Fergs run Club. I would say, I would start with
- 34:09Speaker 3: the run clubs. I would I would go Panella's run Club.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I would go golf Port Run golf Port run Club.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I would go to those like little tub parties.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I've made a sounds freaky, but I would also go.
- 34:24Speaker 3: This is again, like I already gave him a shout out,
- 34:25Speaker 3: Iceberg Cold Plunge like these sauna places. Why because you're
- 34:28Speaker 3: literally sitting in a sauna just sweating. You're already very
- 34:31Speaker 3: vulnerable because you're really tight close together. We've had so
- 34:35Speaker 3: many good connections in there, business connections, potential dating connections.
- 34:39Speaker 1: All from sitting in a sauna. I love a sauna.
- 34:42Speaker 1: You got to come out to Iceberg Cold Plunge.
- 34:44Speaker 2: How much is it expensive?
- 34:46Speaker 1: No, I don't think it's that bad.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I think it's like maybe like eighty bucks a month
- 34:49Speaker 3: for a membership Scotty Unlimited Scotty. It's your health we're
- 34:55Speaker 3: talking about. Okay, how much is solid core? Uh huh,
- 34:58Speaker 3: thank you?
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's like it gets me muscles.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but this gives you connections, a good detox, muscle relaxation,
- 35:08Speaker 3: and potentially a date.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Is it a private sauna or a public sauna?
- 35:12Speaker 1: Oh, it's public to the people that go there. How
- 35:14Speaker 1: big is the sauna?
- 35:15Speaker 2: Is it a dry sauna?
- 35:15Speaker 3: In for red sauna, it's a dry sauna. And I
- 35:17Speaker 3: think you sit six at a time in there. It's
- 35:19Speaker 3: pretty tight, but that's okay.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Again, that comes from that's what we call an orgy.
- 35:26Speaker 1: That's the part that's.
- 35:27Speaker 3: So great about it though, is because you're sitting there
- 35:29Speaker 3: and you know, as long as you're brave enough to
- 35:31Speaker 3: start a conversation, the conversations are awesome. And usually people
- 35:34Speaker 3: are sitting there like fifteen twenty minutes, so you can
- 35:35Speaker 3: actually get into something and it's not like a noisy bar.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Someone. I could just picture if somebody wanted to like
- 35:40Speaker 2: chill out, relax and just like detalks and then Scott's like,
- 35:43Speaker 2: so pull up your LinkedIn, let's see what you do.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I luckily am pretty good at reading people.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Ye.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I have people in my life that sometimes go and
- 35:49Speaker 3: push that conversation. I'm like, bro, they obviously have headphones
- 35:53Speaker 3: in and they just wanted to vibe out. They just
- 35:55Speaker 3: want to vibe but knowing whether to read that. But
- 35:57Speaker 3: those places they also do like it sounds woo woo,
- 35:59Speaker 3: but they do like breathwork meditation, yoga, all these little
- 36:05Speaker 3: things where it's like, huh, you could find old Jim
- 36:09Speaker 3: from accounting there, but he's also health conscious. He's also
- 36:13Speaker 3: in a nice area where he's taken care of.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Like, oh, I'm close, hang on.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I think that's gonna be the place you win versus
- 36:22Speaker 1: like Bulan in Tampa.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I know Bulan is not the I mean I could
- 36:25Speaker 2: find a sugar daddy at Bulan for this absolutely.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Now, if that was the route you wanted to go down,
- 36:28Speaker 3: I would support you one hundred.
- 36:30Speaker 2: If you are not familiar with Tampa Bulan is, how
- 36:33Speaker 2: would you describe Bulan?
- 36:34Speaker 1: I would say it's a nice uh that's a big
- 36:38Speaker 1: ass bar.
- 36:39Speaker 2: No, it's like a French restaurant, but it's very facy.
- 36:42Speaker 1: It's very facy.
- 36:43Speaker 3: It's kind of like where everyone goes after like six
- 36:45Speaker 3: o'clock and it's like a big ass happy or where
- 36:47Speaker 3: everything's like networking.
- 36:49Speaker 1: That's what I feel.
- 36:49Speaker 3: I've never actually been in Bulan. I've only heard the stories. Okay,
- 36:52Speaker 3: I don't do a lot of stuff in Tampa.
- 36:53Speaker 2: I need you to take me to the tub club.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I would say, see, that's you want to go in
- 36:57Speaker 3: like the hippie dippy stuff. Huh, that's where I thrive.
- 37:00Speaker 2: I'm going you take me to tub Club and then
- 37:02Speaker 2: I want to take you to Bulan. Oh boy, but
- 37:04Speaker 2: I think you would really like Bulan because it's just
- 37:06Speaker 2: people at the bar talking to each other.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Hmmm, I could do it.
- 37:10Speaker 2: I feel like you would thrive in that environment.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I can't see.
- 37:13Speaker 3: That's I have learned how to crank up my personality
- 37:15Speaker 3: when it's needed, like I can.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I could win a room. I know how.
- 37:19Speaker 3: I know it's my natural being. But I also like
- 37:22Speaker 3: the just because the squad's here right now. Transparently, I
- 37:26Speaker 3: am doubting myself every moment going into that place.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Why.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I don't know, because I just feel like, oh wow,
- 37:31Speaker 3: like people are better looking, they're making more money, they're
- 37:34Speaker 3: more successful. Who the heck am I like? That's literally
- 37:37Speaker 3: the voice as I'm walking in. That's why I've had
- 37:39Speaker 3: to master this personality. That's like, you go in there,
- 37:43Speaker 3: You're gonna win with the personality. Crank it whoosh, jump in,
- 37:47Speaker 3: start a conversation, make sure that it's fully engaging. I
- 37:49Speaker 3: can get everybody round up. I've created this monster. It's
- 37:53Speaker 3: still who I am, but I know when to turn
- 37:55Speaker 3: them on and it's usually like in a place like that,
- 37:57Speaker 3: if I'm feeling slightly insecure, I could be like, all
- 37:59Speaker 3: right time, shine, mother, let's go.
- 38:01Speaker 2: I promise you Boulon is not nearly as intimidating as
- 38:04Speaker 2: you think it is, because I felt the same one
- 38:05Speaker 2: because the first time I went, I was so excited.
- 38:07Speaker 2: I was like, this is the facy place in Tampa.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Everyone always talks about everyone.
- 38:12Speaker 1: And that's literally that's what I've heard.
- 38:13Speaker 2: I show up, I'm like, there's people in cargo shorts here.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I was like, what are you guys doing. This is
- 38:18Speaker 2: a this is an establishment, a high class establishment on
- 38:21Speaker 2: Water Street.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Well, okay, so that'd be the task. I'm going to
- 38:24Speaker 1: take you to the hippie things.
- 38:25Speaker 3: We're gonna go out to the fancy Tampa things up
- 38:27Speaker 3: club and then maybe the Drum Circle over on Treasure Island.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Drum Circle.
- 38:31Speaker 3: That's a big ass drum circle that gets down on
- 38:33Speaker 3: the beach, people dancing, singing. That's again you might meet
- 38:37Speaker 3: some very interesting folks. Every person that I've met over
- 38:41Speaker 3: the last year that has changed my life has been
- 38:43Speaker 3: at something that I would have never expected it to be.
- 38:45Speaker 3: At really networking events, different small like goal setting workshops,
- 38:50Speaker 3: coffee shops.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Like all these little things. The sauna place. Yeah, the
- 38:55Speaker 1: craziest people I've met, that's fascinating. Okay, the most interesting.
- 38:58Speaker 3: But also if we want to talk success, the most successful,
- 39:02Speaker 3: the most driven.
- 39:03Speaker 1: It has been incredible. I would have never expected it.
- 39:07Speaker 3: I went there to sweat next thing, you know, I
- 39:09Speaker 3: walked out with an amazing friend or amazing connection or
- 39:12Speaker 3: in some cases I didn't make any like relationship connections,
- 39:15Speaker 3: but I had friends that did.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I was like, oh, you got relations from a conversation
- 39:19Speaker 3: in asana. Who would have thunk it. You gotta exop
- 39:22Speaker 3: in your mind to it.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Okay, we'll we'll put it on the books Tub Club
- 39:25Speaker 2: and then Bulan Tub Club.
- 39:26Speaker 3: I'm saying I've wanted to go to actual tub Club
- 39:29Speaker 3: for a while. They got the DJ, the coffee, the
- 39:30Speaker 3: ice is gonna be good. Okay, there it is, Abby.
- 39:33Speaker 1: What's your social at the Abby Murphy?
- 39:35Speaker 2: Everywhere you can catch me posting about my cats taking
- 39:38Speaker 2: a ship in their litter box and other fun Trampa
- 39:41Speaker 2: Bay activities.
- 39:42Speaker 3: I know it is gonna be a whole series of
- 39:44Speaker 3: events of like what's the next thing to check out
- 39:46Speaker 3: in Tampa. It's it's honestly endless. It's all gonna pay
- 39:49Speaker 3: off in the long run. Watch by August. I'm saying
- 39:51Speaker 3: it right now. Abby will have a man. My social
- 39:55Speaker 3: is at Scott Tavlin s C O T T T
- 39:58Speaker 3: A V as in Victor l I. And we'll see
- 40:00Speaker 3: you next time.
