Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, we are up and running with another episode
- 0:03Speaker 1: of the Lynch in Taco Show, uh Off the Air Podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'm Pat Lynch Taco Bob across from me.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Ready to roll the Off the Air podcast. Hello.
- 0:13Speaker 1: If you're watching this in real time on Facebook, feel
- 0:16Speaker 1: free to interject as you see fit, or if you
- 0:19Speaker 1: just want to lurk, that's fine. We don't care either way.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We're just glad you're with us. Yeah, if you're catching
- 0:24Speaker 1: this after the fact, thanks for finding it either on
- 0:27Speaker 1: the free iHeartRadio app or WJR dot com slash podcast.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Spread the word.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We're trying to grow this thing, you know, inch by inch.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yeah, because let's be honest, once we're done with our
- 0:38Speaker 2: on air, you know, once they have had enough with
- 0:40Speaker 2: us and go all right, let's get rid of those guys.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We gotta hone our skills at the podcasting level.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Well, I'll even doing it long enough, but we're gonna
- 0:49Speaker 2: to do our own podcast, which is gonna be insane
- 0:54Speaker 2: in the membrane. I would say, well, uh huh. I
- 0:59Speaker 2: mean here, we still have to, you know, think about
- 1:02Speaker 2: certain things, but houh shit. When we're doing our own
- 1:06Speaker 2: that we're in charge of, watch out kt bar the door.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Okay, well, no disrespect, but I really hope that day
- 1:14Speaker 1: doesn't come very soon.
- 1:15Speaker 2: No, no, not at all. You know what I was
- 1:18Speaker 2: just thinking, I.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Kind of enjoy working here for the most part.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I love working here. The uh I'm knocking on
- 1:24Speaker 2: wood till my knuckles were blue over here. But I
- 1:27Speaker 2: just thought of something. You know how how I always
- 1:30Speaker 2: have this little off the air in my notes for
- 1:33Speaker 2: different stuff to talk about on and off the air
- 1:37Speaker 2: when I uh, when when my phone dropped and I
- 1:41Speaker 2: I lost all this different stuff that I had to
- 1:45Speaker 2: talk about. Like I remember, I told you about six
- 1:48Speaker 2: months ago that we need to remember and rehash old
- 1:52Speaker 2: stories of different you know, things wild that have had
- 1:55Speaker 2: happened at concerts. You know, like when Ozzie passed or like, yeah,
- 1:58Speaker 2: we met Ozzy Osbourne. It was unforgettable and we had
- 2:01Speaker 2: pictures with them and everything like things like that, different
- 2:05Speaker 2: concert experiences we've had, different just wild stuff. I was
- 2:09Speaker 2: thinking of one. Do you mind if I just tossed
- 2:12Speaker 2: this out?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Okay, whatever you want, it's the pie. There's no set
- 2:15Speaker 1: of tendation.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I just want to make sure I didn't know if
- 2:17Speaker 2: you're jumping into something I.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Got something I want to share, but it's not going
- 2:21Speaker 1: to eat up a lot of time.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It was the story of when just when we were younger.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I mean, I know a lot of the younger people
- 2:29Speaker 2: now are just crazy with guns and stuff. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 2: when it comes to fighting, they're you know, pulling a
- 2:34Speaker 2: gun or whatever. You see it on the news all
- 2:36Speaker 2: the time. We didn't do that. You know, if it
- 2:39Speaker 2: was a fight, we talked about it yesterday. You know,
- 2:41Speaker 2: you just the two guys or girls go and they
- 2:43Speaker 2: get the fight and then they end it. Hey, all right, You're.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Word spreads throughout the day at school that there's going
- 2:49Speaker 1: to be a throwdown over and the X marks the
- 2:51Speaker 1: spot and everybody would gather and yeah, cheer on there
- 2:55Speaker 1: there there combatant.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So it was like that, you know, we were just
- 2:59Speaker 2: different and back then. But I also thought about how
- 3:02Speaker 2: dickish some of the stuff we did was. And this
- 3:05Speaker 2: is pre cell phone. I've told you this story before
- 3:09Speaker 2: a lot of the listeners probably haven't heard it, but
- 3:11Speaker 2: this was pre cell phone. And you know here in
- 3:15Speaker 2: Orlando and you know the winter Park, maitland Edgewater area,
- 3:18Speaker 2: when you would go to parties, it would just be
- 3:21Speaker 2: because you didn't have cell phones. You'd pull up to
- 3:23Speaker 2: where the party was. No, man, I already got busted,
- 3:26Speaker 2: but everybody's going here, and then everybody go to the
- 3:28Speaker 2: next house and exactly and uh, so we drove into
- 3:32Speaker 2: this one neighborhood. It was right after everything was bust up,
- 3:35Speaker 2: so there was nobody in there, and we're like, ah, shit,
- 3:38Speaker 2: where are we gonna How are we gonna figure out
- 3:40Speaker 2: where this the follow up party is. It's a right, okay,
- 3:44Speaker 2: let's go up to the Cumberland Farms and because there'll
- 3:47Speaker 2: probably still be some stragglers there or the seven eleven
- 3:50Speaker 2: on Park Ave and uh, and then all of a sudden,
- 3:54Speaker 2: we're driving. We're in the Slizwagon that was my parents'
- 3:57Speaker 2: car that all the kids in my family beat the
- 3:59Speaker 2: hell out of and uh, big gray Chevy station wagon
- 4:03Speaker 2: and uh driving and I'm like, dude, do you hear that?
- 4:07Speaker 2: And Slizz is driving and then so.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Slizz is the nickname for one of his brothers.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so then he's driving, and then Dave looks and
- 4:16Speaker 2: he goes, yeah, we did. We just just like you
- 4:19Speaker 2: and I can finish each other sentences, Dave and I
- 4:23Speaker 2: can do that as well.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's Delta Dave Taco's best friend.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So I go, dude, do you hear that? And
- 4:29Speaker 2: he goes, get what is that? I go, oh, I
- 4:32Speaker 2: think we have a flat tire. And this guy, Steve
- 4:36Speaker 2: was with us, and you know he was I don't
- 4:39Speaker 2: want to say nerdy, because there's a really good dude,
- 4:41Speaker 2: but you know, you'd play jokes on certain people and
- 4:44Speaker 2: they go, hey, Steve, get out and check if there's
- 4:47Speaker 2: a flat tire.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And Steve, Steve was the easy target, is what you're
- 4:51Speaker 1: trying to say.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know he's hanging out with us, and
- 4:54Speaker 2: I don't want to make it sound like, oh, we
- 4:56Speaker 2: were cool, but you know it's like, hey, I'm out
- 4:58Speaker 2: with the guys. He was the Rudolph of your career.
- 5:00Speaker 2: We're gonna have no no, not at all. He was cool.
- 5:03Speaker 2: We'll just move up. But anyway, in case you know,
- 5:05Speaker 2: he ever listened to this. But anyway, so we're he
- 5:09Speaker 2: gets out to go look at the tire and I
- 5:13Speaker 2: don't see any flat tire, and I go punch it, Lizen.
- 5:18Speaker 2: We left this poor kid, and this is my point
- 5:20Speaker 2: of how dickish things we would do. We left this
- 5:23Speaker 2: poor kid in a neighborhood, deep in a dark neighborhood,
- 5:29Speaker 2: like and he had to be miles like from well
- 5:32Speaker 2: who lived off Golden Rod. This was in near the
- 5:36Speaker 2: ninth Grade center, so he was probably five miles from
- 5:39Speaker 2: his house. We left. He has no cell phone to
- 5:43Speaker 2: call anybody. Pagers weren't around back then, so I don't
- 5:47Speaker 2: know how he got home. I think he went and
- 5:49Speaker 2: had to call his dad from a thing. And how embarrassing.
- 5:53Speaker 2: What a bunch of dix to leave him. And we're like, oh,
- 5:57Speaker 2: that was awesome, you know, just stupid stuff that you
- 6:00Speaker 2: do when you were younger, like me wiping the butthole
- 6:03Speaker 2: juice on the rim of my body's mountain dew. Dick move.
- 6:08Speaker 2: But it's a dick move too that we're all dying
- 6:10Speaker 2: of thirsty And he wouldn't give us anything, and I
- 6:12Speaker 2: knew he wouldn't.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Therefore he must be punished.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the best story ever.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Talk about being left in a neighborhood that's unfamiliar, perhaps
- 6:23Speaker 1: maybe even dangerous. How about our old buddy the Wizard
- 6:26Speaker 1: and his brother, who would uh what? They would just
- 6:33Speaker 1: go and hit up some random bar and just go
- 6:36Speaker 1: check things out and hang out inside yeah, and the
- 6:40Speaker 1: one that they ended up in in Lockhart that time
- 6:44Speaker 1: and got their asses beat.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I vaguely remember this story. Yeah, so they went to
- 6:50Speaker 2: a I'm pretty sure I know the bar you're talking
- 6:52Speaker 2: about Lockhart. Yeah, I have a dive. Well, okay, sure
- 6:56Speaker 2: I went there before a wedding one times.
- 6:58Speaker 1: How I know, so I think, uh, there they were like,
- 7:03Speaker 1: there was this, He's like there was this. I think
- 7:05Speaker 1: he referred to him as like this Yahoo band playing
- 7:08Speaker 1: like some hardcore southern rock band, that big rebel flag
- 7:12Speaker 1: hanging up behind the stage and stuff. And here's him
- 7:17Speaker 1: and his brother, who are is just straight laced, fro
- 7:21Speaker 1: college point looking as they get. And apparently they got
- 7:25Speaker 1: into a bit of a scuffle there at that place.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Probably because the country southern rock people, you know, kind
- 7:32Speaker 2: of redneck, and they're looking at these pretty boy college kids.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So that yeah, and they were like they and they
- 7:38Speaker 1: would do this on purpose. They would go to these
- 7:40Speaker 1: off you know, the beaten path bars that were out
- 7:44Speaker 1: of their particular zones of comfort.
- 7:46Speaker 2: God, this must have been a story. He told you
- 7:48Speaker 2: one time when I was not there, or we were
- 7:51Speaker 2: on the way home from a place.
- 7:52Speaker 1: No, he told me that one the other one when
- 7:54Speaker 1: him and his brother h.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I know this one.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Was they picked up a hitchhiker or something.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know that one. I thought you were
- 8:03Speaker 2: going to talk about it in Clemson or wherever. Well,
- 8:05Speaker 2: oh that was at LSU. LSU they got the shit
- 8:08Speaker 2: kicked out of them, broken jaw.
- 8:09Speaker 1: They showed showed up as Gator fans at LSU for
- 8:13Speaker 1: a night game after having been drinking and tailgating all day,
- 8:17Speaker 1: and any of you know that, especially a night game
- 8:21Speaker 1: at LSU is completely off the hook, crazy, Yeah, because
- 8:27Speaker 1: the party is all day and you just show up
- 8:29Speaker 1: in the other team's colors. You're a target. Start running
- 8:31Speaker 1: your mouth like they did. You're a target.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah. So they were a fight, and like I think
- 8:36Speaker 2: it was like ten plus guys. Just remember the one
- 8:39Speaker 2: guys they're they're fighting them off, and both these guys
- 8:43Speaker 2: obviously know how to fight. One of them was a
- 8:45Speaker 2: boxer in college, right, the wizard was right, and he
- 8:49Speaker 2: made it through college with money wise that he won
- 8:52Speaker 2: from boxing matches, right, And so they're just taking these
- 8:56Speaker 2: other group of LSU guys one by one. But then
- 8:59Speaker 2: it got to where, all right, these guys are getting
- 9:02Speaker 2: back up or new Ones are coming whatever it was,
- 9:05Speaker 2: and they're chasing them, hitting them in the back of
- 9:07Speaker 2: the head, and I just remember that one of them
- 9:10Speaker 2: got pinned up against He's at a glass window like
- 9:13Speaker 2: where a bank or something would be, right, you know,
- 9:15Speaker 2: just on the side of the street, and he's cornered
- 9:18Speaker 2: all around. He's like, okay, just beat my ass more,
- 9:22Speaker 2: come on, And yeah, they had that happen. I don't
- 9:26Speaker 2: know if the wizard was there, but his brother and
- 9:30Speaker 2: a bunch of his friends outside the Samirna New Smyrna
- 9:32Speaker 2: seven to eleven. Remember they got jumped by like twenty
- 9:34Speaker 2: kids right right.
- 9:36Speaker 1: They they just they were like just those two dudes
- 9:38Speaker 1: that just always were scrapping. The story that I was
- 9:41Speaker 1: trying to piece together was when they ended up with
- 9:43Speaker 1: this complete stranger. I don't know if they ended up
- 9:47Speaker 1: in his car or whatever. They ended up getting robbed, yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and left for dead in the middle of nowhere.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Did they They took a car, took.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Their phone, everything, their wallets, everything, I do remember.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I didn't know if they took the car.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Though they had no way of then were a stock yeah,
- 10:06Speaker 1: so I don't know if it was their got stolen
- 10:08Speaker 1: in their phones and their wallets or whatever. But it's
- 10:12Speaker 1: just it's just you got you know these folks, and
- 10:14Speaker 1: you may be that person who just trouble finds you.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Uh huh and uh yeah. So anyway, that's uh.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Have you talked to him recently?
- 10:24Speaker 2: You know what?
- 10:25Speaker 1: He's like, a lawyer doing a kick ass job now.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Right, This guy, the Wizard Kyle, great guy. You may
- 10:34Speaker 2: have remembered him from Earthday birthday, the really the really
- 10:38Speaker 2: drunk dude who came out and introduced Cypress Hill years ago.
- 10:42Speaker 2: A sales dude. Anyway, So no, he he was working here,
- 10:47Speaker 2: and he was and going to school and really cool.
- 10:49Speaker 2: He had already graduated when he was working here. He
- 10:52Speaker 2: was graduated from a war damn Eagles, Auburn, Auburn and
- 10:57Speaker 2: uh intelligent kid. His father was a lawyer, his mother
- 11:00Speaker 2: and so he was working here making six figures, I mean,
- 11:04Speaker 2: making some cash and because you know, he had Budweiser
- 11:08Speaker 2: and all the big clients, and all of a sudden
- 11:10Speaker 2: he walked up to bat and Eye one day and
- 11:12Speaker 2: he goes, yeah, I think I'm I'm gonna quit and
- 11:16Speaker 2: go back to law school. Now I can't. I can't
- 11:18Speaker 2: handle this pitch in charge, and he quit went to
- 11:21Speaker 2: law school. And this is after he's graduated for a
- 11:24Speaker 2: couple of years, went back to law school and graduated
- 11:28Speaker 2: in the top three of the entire class. And then
- 11:33Speaker 2: immediately all the law firms are yeah, he's working for
- 11:37Speaker 2: some big firm over in the Tampa Saint Peter.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, all the big.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Firms are hunting for him. And he's like, they paid
- 11:42Speaker 2: for all the school and they did this, and yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 2: I see him. I used to see him every now
- 11:47Speaker 2: and then if I went over to Clearwater on vacation
- 11:49Speaker 2: and uh, just a good dude. And then he'll sometimes
- 11:52Speaker 2: he'll text me during the holidays, so I need to
- 11:55Speaker 2: text him ahead and see if he's in during Thanksgiving week.
- 11:58Speaker 1: So hey, on a set print note here on a
- 12:00Speaker 1: different thing, I just wanted to share something that happened yesterday.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And by the way, well, I'm going to write in
- 12:06Speaker 2: my notes different crazy stories from Pat and I's past
- 12:10Speaker 2: thirty years almost thirty years working again.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I'll try to share one or two with you each
- 12:14Speaker 1: week as part of the podcast. But anyway, of course,
- 12:17Speaker 1: anything else that comes up, a lot of people checking
- 12:19Speaker 1: in this morning, good morning, good morning.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Somebody just got home from Panama and oh, what a
- 12:25Speaker 1: temperature change.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'm sure George he was in Panama and he said
- 12:31Speaker 2: he was going to try to listen on the free
- 12:33Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app while he was there. Christopher said, good morning.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I enjoy listening to you guys just talking about whatever.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I look forward to the small segments in the morning
- 12:43Speaker 2: between music. Well, thanks for rocking, Christopher, and spread the
- 12:46Speaker 2: word about our show. Dude.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You know how I think folks now like to use
- 12:52Speaker 1: the term manifest. I want to try to manifest this
- 12:55Speaker 1: or whatever, And it's it's the power of positive thinking. Okay,
- 12:59Speaker 1: you know, and you're all about that. You always are.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You're you're like, don't don't think negative, because if you
- 13:05Speaker 1: think negative, bad things happen. But the inverse possibly true
- 13:09Speaker 1: as well, you think good thing. I have to think
- 13:12Speaker 1: I sort of manifested what ended up playing out yesterday
- 13:15Speaker 1: because it was like.
- 13:17Speaker 2: You know, it's funny when I hear manifest, I immediately
- 13:19Speaker 2: think of like terrorists.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Okay, they had manifest that. Well that's a different definition
- 13:27Speaker 1: or conversation altogether. But anyway, I saw this scenario coming
- 13:32Speaker 1: like in slow motion, and then it finally happened yesterday, okay,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and it involves our newest member of our household.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Otis Oh the dog, Yes, yeah, that which who I
- 13:44Speaker 2: still I told you I love that name because immediately
- 13:46Speaker 2: I think of otis the drunk from Andy Griffin.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and a character. So he is a character.
- 13:51Speaker 2: We love him.
- 13:52Speaker 1: He's pretty big dog, but he he was a shelter
- 13:56Speaker 1: dog for pretty much most of his life, almost two
- 13:58Speaker 1: years before we adopt him and brought him into our home.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And he's adjusted great for the most part. He loves it,
- 14:04Speaker 1: enjoys his freedom. But he's very rambunctious, very energetic, and
- 14:07Speaker 1: that's fine. He's a young dog, but he has he
- 14:11Speaker 1: has a screw loose. Yeah, he has a screw loose,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and specifically one issue and I mentioned it before on here,
- 14:18Speaker 1: and some of you had suggestions as to help try
- 14:20Speaker 1: to fix this problem.
- 14:22Speaker 2: The pool. The pool.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He barks at our pool, okay. And when I say
- 14:27Speaker 1: he barks at the pool, he goes. Not all the time,
- 14:32Speaker 1: but when he decides he's going to bark at the pool,
- 14:34Speaker 1: he starts and he will not stop until you bring
- 14:38Speaker 1: him back inside the house. So there's there's the setup
- 14:43Speaker 1: for this I gotten into the habit. When I'm I'm
- 14:47Speaker 1: home dealing with him. The second he starts with that,
- 14:50Speaker 1: I get him inside the house.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because you don't want to piss off your neighbors.
- 14:54Speaker 2: You know where I'm going here. Uh So.
- 14:58Speaker 1: My wife, on the other hand, her schedule a little
- 15:00Speaker 1: bit different from mine. She's she has to get up
- 15:04Speaker 1: and get ready in the morning for work, and part
- 15:06Speaker 1: of that is getting him fed and then out back
- 15:08Speaker 1: to do his business and whatever while she's getting ready.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So she likes to just let him out in the
- 15:12Speaker 1: yard do his business while she's getting ready. Unfortunately, most
- 15:17Speaker 1: mornings when she does that, it takes her about forty
- 15:20Speaker 1: five minutes shower and prepping. Yeah, I get ready and
- 15:23Speaker 1: all that. He's outside the whole time, And on most
- 15:26Speaker 1: mornings the pool bark starts.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Oh boy, And you know.
- 15:31Speaker 1: She told me, yeah, I just I just leave him
- 15:34Speaker 1: be he can bark his head off. I'm like, that's
- 15:36Speaker 1: gonna be a problem. It is, like, that is going
- 15:38Speaker 1: to be a problem. That is good. She like, well,
- 15:40Speaker 1: they don't care next door. I go over here, they
- 15:42Speaker 1: don't over here. They might and yesterday I don't know
- 15:48Speaker 1: if it was a sign or what I stopped for
- 15:51Speaker 1: gas on the way home, and at the pump in
- 15:54Speaker 1: front of me was one of my next door neighbors.
- 15:57Speaker 1: She did not see me. Okay, I just filled up.
- 16:01Speaker 1: She was finishing up and got in her car and
- 16:04Speaker 1: was getting ready to leave. Ironically, by the time I finished,
- 16:09Speaker 1: she hadn't pulled away yet. I got in, I started
- 16:11Speaker 1: up my truck, and she started to pull out head home,
- 16:14Speaker 1: and I'm right behind her the whole way, okay, the
- 16:17Speaker 1: whole way, and she pulls into her driveway. I go
- 16:20Speaker 1: around into my driveway, go inside, and my routine when
- 16:24Speaker 1: I get home is take Otis out for his walk.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I walk him every day. She knows this because she's
- 16:30Speaker 1: home all day. She knows my schedule, and sure as hell,
- 16:34Speaker 1: as soon as I approach their house, she pops out,
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh Hi, Patrick, Oh God, so.
- 16:42Speaker 2: This is otis Huh?
- 16:44Speaker 1: So I go, I go, yeah.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Just so I have a picture, because I've been to
- 16:50Speaker 2: your house many times. If I'm facing your front door,
- 16:54Speaker 2: our house is on the corner, yes, but I'm If
- 16:56Speaker 2: I'm facing your front door, that's the house to the right,
- 16:59Speaker 2: the house to the right, the guy who went in
- 17:01Speaker 2: with you on the trees.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Ye yes, okay, Yeah, they're great people. Yeah, it's been
- 17:05Speaker 1: great and they've been there longer.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Than we have, very cool neighbors.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Yes, so this is Otis and she goes, Boy, he
- 17:14Speaker 1: barks an awful lot. She goes, and it goes on
- 17:18Speaker 1: and on, and she was being very nice. She goes,
- 17:23Speaker 1: he's a sweet dog. I can tell he's a sweet dog,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and he's you know, and he's being an Otis And
- 17:29Speaker 1: I go, yeah, I go, I go, I'm I'm really sorry.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I go.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I had a feeling this was going to become an issue.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Did you say, was it during the mornings that he's
- 17:38Speaker 2: barking a lot?
- 17:38Speaker 1: No, she told me.
- 17:40Speaker 2: She goes, she goes.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It happens sometimes in the evening and she goes, but
- 17:44Speaker 1: almost every morning she goes. Now we're up early, but
- 17:47Speaker 1: there comes up. I go, I don't say another word.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I got you understood.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I go.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I want you to know we recognize this, we know
- 17:54Speaker 1: this is an issue. He's you know, explained him being
- 17:58Speaker 1: the shelter dog.
- 17:59Speaker 2: And you should right in the eyes and said we
- 18:01Speaker 2: understand this and we're gonna put him down, just to
- 18:04Speaker 2: see a reaction if you said that, this is a
- 18:07Speaker 2: straight face just.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Pull a pistol out of my pocket and just I'm
- 18:10Speaker 1: gonna go in and get the gun right to do
- 18:12Speaker 1: it right, Will you hold the leash for a minute.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I'll be right back.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Hold on if you could pet him ahead of time before.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I okay, So, but your your your comfort is paramount here,
- 18:21Speaker 1: so uh any no, none, none of that, And I
- 18:23Speaker 1: would never ever do that. So I said to her,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I go, look, I go, I'm gonna just be straight
- 18:28Speaker 1: up with you. He's got a screw loose, and that's
- 18:30Speaker 1: the screw that's loose and we can't figure it out.
- 18:32Speaker 1: She goes, yeah, my husband looked over the fence one
- 18:36Speaker 1: morning just to see what and he looks like he's
- 18:39Speaker 1: barking at the pool. I go, that's because he's barking
- 18:42Speaker 1: at the pool.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And she's just.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Looking at me like, h I go, yeah, he uh.
- 18:47Speaker 1: There's no telling, uh if it's a session where he's
- 18:50Speaker 1: going to rip into this or not. And I explained
- 18:54Speaker 1: to her, I go, I will, uh, I'll fix this problem.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I'll have my wife stop leaving him out there. She's
- 19:00Speaker 1: getting ready in the morning. So we left it at that.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Today's day one of the new procedures so I'll be
- 19:07Speaker 1: eager to get home and chat with the wife to
- 19:09Speaker 1: see when she gets home from work later how how
- 19:12Speaker 1: that went this morning.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But it begs the bigger issue. Uh, you got to
- 19:17Speaker 2: get a trainer.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Well, we've got him trained in pretty much every aspect
- 19:21Speaker 1: of figure this pool. We have a we have a
- 19:24Speaker 1: vet vet appointment on Friday, so we're gonna probably bring
- 19:28Speaker 1: I'll bring it up to him and see what what
- 19:30Speaker 1: his thoughts are. But uh, this is just I've never
- 19:33Speaker 1: seen this in an animal before, and I've had plenty
- 19:36Speaker 1: of experience with pets my whole life, and this one
- 19:39Speaker 1: is this bizarre. Yeah, the listeners were suggesting, you know,
- 19:43Speaker 1: when we talked about this a few months ago, maybe
- 19:46Speaker 1: it's the noise of the pool pump the high frequency.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But no, it's not because he does it, whether the
- 19:50Speaker 1: pool pumps on or not.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Okay, so it's just.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Something about the pool. He doesn't like it, and he
- 19:57Speaker 1: will once he goes into that mode.
- 20:01Speaker 2: You would think he would get tired. Nope, No, and
- 20:04Speaker 2: he doesn't get thirsty or nope. I mean Teddy barks
- 20:08Speaker 2: at the door, you know, for just people approaching that
- 20:11Speaker 2: didn't call me at or whatever. Yeah, and running. He afterwards,
- 20:15Speaker 2: he's like hanging out near his ball. You with dumb ass.
- 20:19Speaker 2: If you didn't sit there and barked all the time,
- 20:21Speaker 2: you wouldn't.
- 20:22Speaker 1: No, No, he's this dog has boundless energy. It's because
- 20:26Speaker 1: he's he's still very young. And uh, you know that's fine.
- 20:28Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 20:29Speaker 2: You got asked of that.
- 20:30Speaker 1: No, we're going to on actual tomorrow, so we'll see
- 20:34Speaker 1: see if he has any suggestions. So yeah, that's but
- 20:39Speaker 1: the point I'm trying to make is you try to
- 20:40Speaker 1: be a good neighbor. Yeah, right, and you state right,
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying though, And we've never never
- 20:47Speaker 1: really had any kind of issues per se over the
- 20:50Speaker 1: twenty twelmost twenty four years we've been in this house.
- 20:53Speaker 1: For any of our neighbors.
- 20:54Speaker 2: One person down the road, you did, tree guy, the
- 20:58Speaker 2: guy that used to walk around the pad, Yeah, take
- 21:01Speaker 2: notes to rap people out at the.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Ho Yeah, the neighborhood gestapo.
- 21:06Speaker 2: What dick.
- 21:07Speaker 1: He don't live there anymore.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, I've been heard any stuff about him. Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 2: So anyway, somebody at the text line two two five
- 21:14Speaker 2: two six and what is the pre sale code can't
- 21:17Speaker 2: get tickets for the VIP Earthday Birthday VIP tickets went
- 21:22Speaker 2: on sale as of right now, twenty one minutes ago.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Earthday Birthday VIP and then the super Vip. There is
- 21:29Speaker 2: no pre there's no pre sale code.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just opened everybody. If you want VIP or
- 21:34Speaker 1: super VIP there priced as is. Yeah, there's no discount rate,
- 21:38Speaker 1: nothing like that now. So I'll keep you posted on
- 21:41Speaker 1: what happens with the Yeah, please do and.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Make sure and ask that vat because they know a
- 21:45Speaker 2: lot of different because it could be, like I said,
- 21:48Speaker 2: abuse from when it was just a puppy. But I
- 21:52Speaker 2: won't get into it, and we already did because he
- 21:54Speaker 2: likes to go on the pool, so will uh uh.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I'll keep you posted on where that goes. You've got
- 22:00Speaker 2: us to the Earthday Birthday questions. That's a good place
- 22:02Speaker 2: to kind of wrap this up for this week because
- 22:03Speaker 2: it is important. We did announce the details of Birthday Birthday.
- 22:07Speaker 2: The general on sale is Friday morning, starting at ten.
- 22:11Speaker 2: We want to try to explain this to you because
- 22:13Speaker 2: it could be confusing if we don't. Timing is urgent
- 22:18Speaker 2: if you really want to save money, because it's a
- 22:21Speaker 2: step up pricing system. Our goal is to if you
- 22:25Speaker 2: want to be at this show, and you want to
- 22:27Speaker 2: do it as economically as possible to provide a very
- 22:32Speaker 2: fairly priced ticket. And I think even the highest when
- 22:35Speaker 2: it goes to the highest price, is still way better
- 22:38Speaker 2: price than at any just about any concert, even standalone shows.
- 22:43Speaker 2: But that said, you could get a thirty five dollars
- 22:45Speaker 2: tickets thirty five dollars plus service charge. Right, Here's what
- 22:49Speaker 2: it is, and I think I can explain this without
- 22:51Speaker 2: us getting to discombobulated in Luiz. There's a certain amount
- 22:56Speaker 2: of tickets for thirty five dollars plus the service charge.
- 23:01Speaker 2: When those go up at ten am tomorrow. When those
- 23:04Speaker 2: sell out, it goes to the next tier, which is
- 23:08Speaker 2: forty five dollars plus service fee. There's a certain amount
- 23:11Speaker 2: of those. When those sell out, it goes to the
- 23:14Speaker 2: next tier, which is fifty five dollars plus service charge.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Now, I know some of the cynical types will go, oh,
- 23:19Speaker 1: how many thirty five dollars tickets are there?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Like three pairs?
- 23:22Speaker 1: No, No, there's hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of those
- 23:26Speaker 1: thirty five dollars tickets. Thus, timing is urgent on your
- 23:32Speaker 1: key to you saving some money, and those of you
- 23:35Speaker 1: who take the time to watch and listen to this
- 23:37Speaker 1: podcast are probably some of the most loyal listeners we have.
- 23:40Speaker 1: So we want to make sure you have this info
- 23:42Speaker 1: to save as much money as possible.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Exactly, okay, and make sure that if you're right out
- 23:47Speaker 2: of the gate that you look for the ticket there
- 23:50Speaker 2: is thirty five dollars.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll see several options, and they'll try the lowest
- 23:55Speaker 1: priced one before you hit by.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah, common sense, you'd obviously try the lowest price one.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And if you try to lowest price one and says
- 24:02Speaker 1: those are unavailable, go to the next one up.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Okay. So we just want, like you said, these are
- 24:07Speaker 2: our diehard listeners of JRR, and we want to make
- 24:10Speaker 2: sure that you know how to get them because we
- 24:13Speaker 2: want you at Earthday birthday because it's the station's big
- 24:17Speaker 2: birthday concert and you make this station.
- 24:19Speaker 1: And the other thing to keep in mind, this show
- 24:22Speaker 1: has always traditionally been in April.
- 24:24Speaker 2: We have moved it.
- 24:25Speaker 1: We've backed it up into March. That's awesome, all right,
- 24:27Speaker 1: March twenty first, which may be a little bit easier
- 24:30Speaker 1: as far as temperatures go.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Not guaranteed, but yeah, possibly guarantee anyway.
- 24:36Speaker 1: No, no, but that March twenty first, same place we've
- 24:39Speaker 1: been having it for years, Central Florida Amphitheater and Fairgrounds,
- 24:43Speaker 1: and again ten o'clock Friday morning is when the general
- 24:47Speaker 1: on sale went, which is what the bulk of folks
- 24:49Speaker 1: who go to this buy general admission tickets right.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Now while they last. There's VIP tickets and super VIP
- 24:56Speaker 2: once you go to vip ear at day birthday VIP style.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Once you go that way, it's worth it's Yeah, you
- 25:02Speaker 2: always go and do VIP the next time. Everybody I've
- 25:05Speaker 2: talked to has said that.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Now. As far as the super VIP, this is something new.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I can't speak to it because it's the first time
- 25:11Speaker 1: we've done it. It looks like it's huge. Yeah, I
- 25:15Speaker 1: mean yeah, it's it's gonna uh it.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Evolves six VIP tickets for you and your guests.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and you get some additions with that. You can
- 25:24Speaker 1: read all about it there at the website. But so
- 25:27Speaker 1: we thank you for understanding that we just weren't able
- 25:30Speaker 1: to pull it off this year, and we're really looking
- 25:32Speaker 1: forward to it returning in March of twenty twenty six.
- 25:35Speaker 2: The hell of a lineup too. Yeah, it's a good lineup,
- 25:37Speaker 2: three days, grace headline and.
- 25:39Speaker 1: A great job booking all this time.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Okay, it took some time. Thanks for everybody's patience. We
- 25:44Speaker 2: just got a text from Greg Morning from Tennessee. Fellas
- 25:47Speaker 2: relocated from Melbourne a couple months ago, but still listening
- 25:51Speaker 2: to you guys.
- 25:51Speaker 1: It is incredible how many listeners we have that have
- 25:56Speaker 1: relocated to Tennessee in particular.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Hell you wait, I thought we get into that.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Hold on, yes, I will ultimately end up in Tennessee.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Well, hold on for a second. So thank you Greg
- 26:06Speaker 2: for listening on the Free iHeart Radio app. And that's
- 26:08Speaker 2: the beauty of it. Look like the guy from Panama earlier,
- 26:12Speaker 2: who who said he brought us to Panama with him,
- 26:15Speaker 2: now he's back home the Free iHeart Radio app. You
- 26:17Speaker 2: could do it. So if you're on vacation or if
- 26:19Speaker 2: you have to move, we know, shit happens, like, hey,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I got this job offer that I.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Have to take you stay connected with the app, Yeah, with.
- 26:27Speaker 2: J r R and your original home you know, the
- 26:30Speaker 2: Free iHeart Radio music app, and make us your first
- 26:33Speaker 2: pre set if you could so. Yeah, you said about
- 26:36Speaker 2: coming up on six nine months ago that you were
- 26:40Speaker 2: planning on moving to Tennessee and probably sooner than later.
- 26:43Speaker 2: What's any updates.
- 26:45Speaker 1: No, that's still the game plan. That's where we want
- 26:47Speaker 1: to end up.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Don't get a pool. No, I'm kidding. Would you get
- 26:52Speaker 2: a pool?
- 26:53Speaker 1: No, No, you don't need a pool in Tennessee. I
- 26:55Speaker 1: was just curious, I know. I mean, well, you don't
- 26:57Speaker 1: need a pool here. The house we moved into happened
- 27:00Speaker 1: to have one. It was the first time we lived
- 27:01Speaker 1: in a place with a pool, and we thought it
- 27:03Speaker 1: was pretty cool.
- 27:04Speaker 2: It's awesome. Well it is for the most part. Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 2: and then comes with the kids grow up, and then
- 27:10Speaker 2: you go, we got a pool. It was stuff to
- 27:12Speaker 2: maintain for one hundred and thirty a month or whatever.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It's it's it can be a money pit at times,
- 27:17Speaker 1: but I'm not knocking it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: It's Greg's gonna try to come from Tennessee to birthday. Birthday.
- 27:23Speaker 2: It's a good time. Greg. We hope you're there all right.
- 27:25Speaker 2: If you are, get your tickets early so you're still
- 27:28Speaker 2: gonna do it. But yeah, there's no set date on it.
- 27:32Speaker 2: That's where I want to end up. That's where we
- 27:34Speaker 2: and the wife went end up. No, I think that's
- 27:35Speaker 2: freaking cool. When you told me, I was blown away.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I was like, that's the coolest thing ever.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Uh.
- 27:42Speaker 2: With the pool you can get pool into I mean
- 27:44Speaker 2: my all my relatives up north have them in New York.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Right, and you use them for a few months out
- 27:50Speaker 1: of the year. If I'm gonna have a pool, I
- 27:52Speaker 1: want it available for the bulk of the year. That's
- 27:55Speaker 1: that's all I'm saying.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you. So I'm with you. All right.
- 27:58Speaker 1: We wrapped this up. So there's some big shin dig
- 28:00Speaker 1: going on here this morning.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Huh oh, yeah, I know. I wore Uh. I gotta
- 28:04Speaker 2: be on the record everybody. I wore pants, So did
- 28:08Speaker 2: I first time? Pat and I have warm pants since
- 28:10Speaker 2: the last year's party. I mean we wear pants, warm pants.
- 28:14Speaker 2: We should. Yeah, and believe it or not, I got
- 28:17Speaker 2: a button down shirt at my desk that I'm gonna
- 28:21Speaker 2: put on. Oh, come on, uh huh. I got some
- 28:24Speaker 2: big clients coming in man, you know, maybe some birthday birthday.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You know some of the people I had to book
- 28:30Speaker 2: it with. And now businessman Bob Rolls. I just really
- 28:36Speaker 2: bill of goods. I just realized still of goods with
- 28:40Speaker 2: this guy. Oh, bullshit. No, So I just realized that
- 28:44Speaker 2: I haven't peed since because I kind of stood up
- 28:50Speaker 2: when I was doing.
- 28:50Speaker 1: My Okay, we're getting to the point where this is
- 28:52Speaker 1: a little too much information I need to share, even
- 28:54Speaker 1: for the podcast.
- 28:55Speaker 2: But I was. I was when I was showing my
- 28:57Speaker 2: pant leg. I was like, oh, Bobby has to go peepe.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I haven't gone peace since the morning day I'm talking
- 29:05Speaker 2: six All right?
- 29:06Speaker 1: With that, we do appreciate you checking out Lynching Tacos
- 29:09Speaker 1: Off the Air podcast and.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Remember to think of some stories Pat from back in
- 29:13Speaker 2: the day that I can that we can talk about
- 29:16Speaker 2: a next podcast.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Well, the next podcast is Tom and Dan, isn't it.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's right, so we'll do it the next
- 29:22Speaker 2: next podcast.
- 29:23Speaker 1: No, the next one after that is Thanksgiving week and
- 29:26Speaker 1: we won't be here.
- 29:26Speaker 2: That's why I said the next next pot all right.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah, Tom and Dan. Our buddies Tom and Dan will
- 29:31Speaker 1: be joining us for next Thursdays Off the Air.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I was listening to them last night and uh, you know,
- 29:36Speaker 2: like when I backed my truck in, I'll flip over
- 29:38Speaker 2: and see what our buddies are doing. I was listening
- 29:40Speaker 2: to him and they had Amy kaufeld on and uh,
- 29:43Speaker 2: what a sweetheart she is. We've known her, you know,
- 29:47Speaker 2: like a hey kind of thing for years and years,
- 29:50Speaker 2: but she was They did her whole background and uh,
- 29:53Speaker 2: you know, from her days when she was in radio
- 29:56Speaker 2: and this, and then I was like, man, that's good.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I didn't know a lot of that.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I stunned to find out that she had. Uh and
- 30:02Speaker 1: I didn't realize it at the time. Also worked at
- 30:03Speaker 1: Osowski Family Foods.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Oh, she didn't remember the couch.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Let's move on, all right, take care of everybody until
- 30:11Speaker 1: next time.
- 30:11Speaker 2: We'll see
