- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I don't think a woman president's a big deal.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Well, I'll tell you what we can't have is a.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Woman she still has her period every month.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We have to have a postmenopausal woman because we cannot
- 0:22Speaker 1: take a chance of someone pressing the button every twenty
- 0:27Speaker 1: eight days.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Really, yeah, wow, okay.
- 0:33Speaker 4: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:37Speaker 4: Bill Handle.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Come morning, everybody.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Bill Handle here on a Monday morning, November twenty eighth.
- 0:48Speaker 2: We're right around the corner.
- 0:51Speaker 1: From Thanksgiving and really enjoy the holidays.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Why because two days off for me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: So let's talk about the other people's here who have
- 1:00Speaker 1: two days off. Cono two days off for you, right,
- 1:04Speaker 1: one day? One day off for you? And Amy two
- 1:08Speaker 1: days off for you right.
- 1:09Speaker 3: One day Thanksgiving.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Cono and I are both working.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Thanksgiving, okay? And Will Cole Schreiver two days off, three
- 1:19Speaker 2: days off? How many three? Yeah?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, you're first up.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And Ann one day one day, just one day, all right?
- 1:32Speaker 1: And Neil is feeling in for me Thanksgiving Day, which
- 1:36Speaker 1: he does every year. And it's always the same advice.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Do you and I put a frozen turkey in one
- 1:41Speaker 1: of those turkey fryers because it will explode and they'll
- 1:43Speaker 1: be shrapnel flying all over the place and hugely entertaining
- 1:47Speaker 1: when pieces of people are on the front lawn or
- 1:51Speaker 1: the back lawne. So Neil is not here today either,
- 1:56Speaker 1: What the hell is he doing today?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Do we know? Do you have something to do with
- 2:00Speaker 2: with Max? Max is off this week? Oh that's so.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I think they might be going to Disneyland. Oh what
- 2:07Speaker 2: a shocker, going to Disneyland. I think that's what it is.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I can understand when you got a kid,
- 2:13Speaker 1: because I remember I was so excited when I was
- 2:16Speaker 1: a little one going to Disneyland.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I can remember I was eight nine years old.
- 2:21Speaker 1: But those are the days when you could go midweek
- 2:25Speaker 1: February March and there was zero wait zero wait.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Well times have changed. Still the most magical place in
- 2:34Speaker 3: the planet.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was magic walking right. You actually had
- 2:38Speaker 1: to get off the ride. Unfortunately, even though the ride
- 2:41Speaker 1: was empty, they wouldn't let you just stay on the
- 2:44Speaker 1: ride to go another go round. You had to go
- 2:46Speaker 1: around at the exit and then get back on the ride.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It was devastating to anybody that did that. Okay, so yeah,
- 2:53Speaker 1: those days have changed. How many days of the year
- 2:56Speaker 1: do they just shut the park down for new people
- 2:58Speaker 1: coming in because there's too many people in the park
- 3:00Speaker 1: and you have to wait half an hour hour until
- 3:03Speaker 1: enough people leave the park to let you in.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Like one or two days. It's not it doesn't happen
- 3:09Speaker 3: very often, but it's because you have to make you
- 3:11Speaker 3: have to make reservations. Now you don't just show up
- 3:13Speaker 3: at the park.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You have to make a reservations to go into the park.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like's a movie ticket. You make a reservation.
- 3:21Speaker 3: They don't so they don't oversell it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I did not know that. Yeah, I did not know.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You have to reserve your spot.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yes, they started that during the pandemic because they had
- 3:31Speaker 3: to limit attendance and they said, hey, this works out
- 3:34Speaker 3: pretty good because then the park doesn't get overcrowded.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Okay, you learn something new every day. I was it
- 3:43Speaker 1: a Saturday. I was with Neil at Wendy's. We did
- 3:47Speaker 1: an event. It was a Neil event that he did
- 3:50Speaker 1: for Pastathon and it was it was so it's so
- 3:55Speaker 1: much fun where I had Several people come up to
- 3:57Speaker 1: me and say, hey, Bill, we went to high school together.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And I look at them and I actually told them,
- 4:06Speaker 1: of course, just thinking about it, go, you know, you
- 4:08Speaker 1: look like utter crap. You know that you are not
- 4:10Speaker 1: aging well. And they would turn around and look at
- 4:14Speaker 1: me and go looking in the mirror.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Huh.
- 4:17Speaker 1: This is what I now do at events? Is out
- 4:22Speaker 1: you look like crap to each other? Very exciting. A
- 4:27Speaker 1: few people literally drag themselves out of their deathbed to say, hello,
- 4:32Speaker 1: we have an older crap I think radio does.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Okay, what else is going on? Oh?
- 4:38Speaker 1: You know pastathon is coming, and today the auction items
- 4:43Speaker 1: start and those are the auction items that the hosts
- 4:47Speaker 1: here auction on. Actually, there's a lot of auction items
- 4:50Speaker 1: that are being offered. And for the first time there
- 4:53Speaker 1: is an auction item that I have put together with Neo,
- 4:56Speaker 1: a barbecue at my house and a whole bunch of goodies.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And I was shamed into inviting you guys to join us.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So here it is. Here's the invitation.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Each of you are invited, minus one to join me
- 5:15Speaker 1: for the barbecue.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Oh to the math, who.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Are you talking to to you? Okay?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Thanks for paying attention.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I'm talking about the team. Yeah, I was talking about
- 5:33Speaker 1: the auction item. All right, guys, it's been a really
- 5:38Speaker 1: interesting weekend. Marjorie Taylor Green, Oh what a few days
- 5:43Speaker 1: that has been. And the oh, let me say hello
- 5:46Speaker 1: by the way, Cono, Hello, Amy, Hello, Will Hello. There's
- 5:51Speaker 1: a hello, And that's basically it. Bill Hi Hi Hi
- 5:55Speaker 1: Hi Hi. All right you guys ready to do it? Yeah, okay,
- 5:58Speaker 1: let's do it. It's time for handle on the news.
- 6:00Speaker 1: On this Monday morning, November twenty fourth, two days before Thanksgiving,
- 6:05Speaker 1: here's a lead.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Story that.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Well, if you plan on flying any place for Thanksgiving,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you are out of your mind. Lax is racing for
- 6:19Speaker 1: two and a half million Thanksgiving travelers. Two and a
- 6:24Speaker 1: half millions are going to go through the terminals. This
- 6:27Speaker 1: is between November twentieth and December one, which is still
- 6:30Speaker 1: a record setting stretch.
- 6:31Speaker 2: What is the.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Actual number for the day or the two the day
- 6:34Speaker 1: before and the day after. We don't have those numbers,
- 6:38Speaker 1: but they're astronomical. It's just it's crazy to wait in
- 6:43Speaker 1: line that way. That's why here's a little hint. Okay,
- 6:47Speaker 1: here is a little hint. Rent a wheelchair or and
- 6:53Speaker 1: this is for Disneyland too, and I don't think that's
- 6:55Speaker 1: the case anymore. There is a Walmart about half a
- 6:59Speaker 1: mile away from Disney and you could go in and
- 7:02Speaker 1: get one of those collapsible canes, and as you go
- 7:06Speaker 1: up to the turnstile, you get wobbly and put your
- 7:09Speaker 1: cane down and you go in as a disabled person
- 7:12Speaker 1: and you used to get at the front of the
- 7:15Speaker 1: line with that. They don't do that anymore, do they.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Amy They don't let people with canes move to the
- 7:20Speaker 1: front of the line.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Do they at Disneyland. Er at the airport.
- 7:25Speaker 1: At Disneyland the airport, you're well airport, if you're in
- 7:28Speaker 1: a wheelchair, you're in grete shape.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Well, people who were faking it kind of wrecked it
- 7:33Speaker 3: for a lot of people. They do. I mean, they
- 7:35Speaker 3: still make some accommodations, but they're not as generous as
- 7:39Speaker 3: they used to be because too many people cheated it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and I always, unfortunately, I left my collapsible canes
- 7:45Speaker 1: at home, so I had to always buy one at
- 7:49Speaker 1: thought Walmart. Do you know how many of these I
- 7:50Speaker 1: have in my closet, These collapsible canes.
- 7:54Speaker 3: When you open the door too fast, they all they just.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Fall right out. Yeah, okay, moving on, okay.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Out of Congress than into the highest job in the land.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green announced that she was retiring
- 8:12Speaker 3: on Friday, and now she said no, no, no, I
- 8:15Speaker 3: am not running for president. Because apparently there were some
- 8:18Speaker 3: rumblings that she might want to. She did say I'm
- 8:20Speaker 3: not running for president. I never said I wanted to,
- 8:23Speaker 3: and have only laughed about it when anyone would mention it. Yeah.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't remember her saying she was running for president.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It was other people pushing and she goes, no, not
- 8:33Speaker 1: at all. But the story of Margor Taylor Green is phenomenal.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I'm going to do that at seven o'clock. She has
- 8:39Speaker 1: when has gone from the most adamant Trump supporter, I
- 8:44Speaker 1: mean crazy supporter of Donald Trump, also crazy supporter in
- 8:48Speaker 1: terms of those conspiracy theories, I mean just insane conspiracy
- 8:53Speaker 1: theaters theories like QAnon stuff, and now she's become an
- 8:57Speaker 1: enemy of Trump. And I'll tell you the reason that
- 9:00Speaker 1: she is bailing too. And I'll do that coming up
- 9:03Speaker 1: at seven o'clock.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Does Ukraine get the short end of the stick. There's
- 9:10Speaker 3: a peace plan. It's twenty eight points US and Ukrainian
- 9:14Speaker 3: officials or in Geneva working through the version of the plan.
- 9:19Speaker 3: The plan, according to some was written pretty much by
- 9:24Speaker 3: the Russian side, and it would force Ukraine to shrink
- 9:27Speaker 3: its army, give up land. Russia hasn't mad that, even
- 9:31Speaker 3: more land than Russia's taken over apparently, and also would
- 9:36Speaker 3: bar NATO troops among other concessions.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Right, no, you can't join NATO reduce the army by
- 9:42Speaker 1: thirty percent.
- 9:43Speaker 3: But the NATO thing's never been like the US has
- 9:46Speaker 3: never backed Ukraine joining NATO. Most people haven't.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Right, they were talk about it, but the Russians were
- 9:54Speaker 1: so adamant.
- 9:55Speaker 2: There was talk.
- 9:56Speaker 1: But if NATO, if a Ukraine were to join NATO,
- 9:59Speaker 1: that put Well actually puts that entire region into position
- 10:03Speaker 1: of starting a war. Because I'm recording our Article five
- 10:07Speaker 1: of the NATO Treaty. An attack on one is an
- 10:09Speaker 1: attack on all and look, and Russia has wanted Ukraine,
- 10:13Speaker 1: particularly Putin, for decades and decades, even before Putin became
- 10:19Speaker 1: the head honcho. And that would if he were to
- 10:22Speaker 1: attack Ukraine while Ukraine was a member of NATO, it's
- 10:25Speaker 1: a declaration of war against NATO.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But here's what happens. NATO has no balls.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It would sit back and go, oh, let's go ahead
- 10:34Speaker 1: and negotiate this. Yeah, that would be their tone, by
- 10:37Speaker 1: the way, Oh, let's go ahead and negotiate this. So
- 10:41Speaker 1: you know, there no one has any guts anymore. The
- 10:44Speaker 1: world has turned over on its head completely. And so
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'll talk about that a little bit later on too.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Well, we've got a Christmas Scrooge just in time for Thanksgiving.
- 10:56Speaker 3: There is a truck that is missing. It was carrying
- 10:59Speaker 3: nearly five hundred frozen turkeys. They were supposed to go
- 11:01Speaker 3: to a grab and go food distribution for the holidays
- 11:05Speaker 3: in Lake elsinor and it was stolen. You are important,
- 11:10Speaker 3: that you are Important. Foundation had planned to hand out
- 11:13Speaker 3: the turkeys to those in need, and the organization's director
- 11:17Speaker 3: said the team stepped away from the truck for a
- 11:19Speaker 3: quick break on Saturday, and when they came back, the
- 11:22Speaker 3: truck was gone.
- 11:23Speaker 1: There's a special place in hell for people that steal
- 11:26Speaker 1: food that's going to go to the hungry people. Just
- 11:31Speaker 1: you know, it's bad enough stealing turkeys. I mean, I
- 11:33Speaker 1: don't know who the hell would steal turkeys, five hundred turkeys.
- 11:38Speaker 2: How much is that what's the average.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So let's say averaged twelve pounds, and how much is
- 11:44Speaker 1: a turkey ninety nine cents a dollar thirty nine of pounds,
- 11:49Speaker 1: call it two dollars a pound for turkey, So that's
- 11:53Speaker 1: twenty five bucks a turkey. It's ten grand worth of turkeys. Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: it's a lot of kids that aren't eating, thank you
- 12:01Speaker 1: very much.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Scraping out ice. So this was kind of an interesting
- 12:08Speaker 3: way to protest because you know, lots of ice raids
- 12:11Speaker 3: are carried out around home depots. And about one hundred
- 12:16Speaker 3: people went to the Home Depot in Monrovia on Saturday,
- 12:19Speaker 3: gut in line, and each one of them bought a
- 12:22Speaker 3: small ice scraper worth less than a dollar. Then they
- 12:25Speaker 3: got back in line minutes later and returned the item.
- 12:29Speaker 3: It's known as a buy in. It was part of
- 12:31Speaker 3: a larger demonstration at the home depot to pressure the
- 12:34Speaker 3: company to scrape ice out of its stores.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, those people certainly showed ice because as they were
- 12:41Speaker 1: going through the turnstile, they were all arrested and deported.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So welcome to the world of fighting ice. Is it
- 12:49Speaker 1: going to happen?
- 12:50Speaker 2: I don't know. Do you think at some point it's going.
- 12:53Speaker 1: To be so overwhelming, the demonstrations are going to increase
- 12:56Speaker 1: to such an extent that it politically, it goes over
- 12:59Speaker 1: the edge.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I don't know what do you think exactly?
- 13:06Speaker 1: Okay, moving on, By the way, that was not a
- 13:11Speaker 1: political question. That was simply a timeline question.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Here's a side effect of Thanksgiving that I would imagine
- 13:20Speaker 3: nobody wants, but a lot of people get. It's called
- 13:23Speaker 3: brown Friday. The day after Thanksgiving is typically one of
- 13:27Speaker 3: the busiest days of the year for the plumbing industry.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Kitchen drains and garbage disposals are clogging. They tend to
- 13:34Speaker 3: be the biggest source of plumbing calls. However, as they say,
- 13:38Speaker 3: other household activities can add to the problem as well.
- 13:45Speaker 3: You got nothing to say about that, bill.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I'm looking at the list and it
- 13:49Speaker 1: doesn't affect me at all.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I don't do laundry, I don't take showers.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You don't have a guess.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So if I use the toilets, I mean if I'm outside,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and if tope, there's a bush retreat right there.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Uh.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And I don't deal with a dishwasher, so I'm off
- 14:03Speaker 1: the line. I'm off the list here. You could, Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 1: for sure.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Okay, there's and then there's a whole bunch.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Of stuff with that you're supposed to not put down there.
- 14:13Speaker 1: And you are supposed to liquid soft foods, chop foods,
- 14:17Speaker 1: you know that, just chop your food, you.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Know, normally.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Dean Sharp was saying that they they may be getting
- 14:22Speaker 3: rid of garbage disposals completely, Yeah, because they're they don't
- 14:28Speaker 3: really do what they're supposed to do and they put
- 14:30Speaker 3: all kinds of gunk into the pipes.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You know, I was talking to Dean once and he
- 14:34Speaker 1: and I thought you'd just scrape it off and throw
- 14:36Speaker 1: the food in there, and he says, no, you don't
- 14:39Speaker 1: put food down garbage disposal. You just put scrapings down there,
- 14:43Speaker 1: whatever is left on your plate, the you know, the
- 14:47Speaker 1: sauces and the bits and pieces of food. If you're
- 14:50Speaker 1: talking big food items larger than a tiny little bit,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what a tiny little bit is.
- 14:57Speaker 2: By the way, it throw that in.
- 15:00Speaker 1: The trash and that's your recyclable stuff. Well, it's your
- 15:05Speaker 1: food recyclable, it's your compost stuff. Anybody have a compost
- 15:08Speaker 1: and among.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Us they delivered a compost trash can to where I live.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But there's like, you know, the guys who own it,
- 15:20Speaker 3: and then there's a couple of us who rent from him.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I'm like, how are we supposed to do this?
- 15:25Speaker 2: So, yeah, you can't put.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Them in a plastic bag because the plastic bag doesn't compost, right,
- 15:31Speaker 1: So I mean the only thing you do is put
- 15:32Speaker 1: a compost heap in the backyard.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Well, they have the composting trash cans now, because you're
- 15:37Speaker 3: supposed to be you're supposed to be separating that out.
- 15:41Speaker 2: No, I understand, But what do you do?
- 15:43Speaker 1: Do you have to put the trash or you have
- 15:46Speaker 1: to put the whatever material the compostable material in there.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But how do you get from here to there? I've got,
- 15:54Speaker 1: for example, half a chicken that's left. Do I carry
- 15:57Speaker 1: half a chicken on a plate outside and then dump
- 16:00Speaker 1: it in the compost heap?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Or do I put it in a plastic.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Bag that then goes out to the compost heap? No
- 16:06Speaker 1: plastic See that's true, I'm telling you Trader Joe's. By
- 16:10Speaker 1: the way, I went a couple of days ago. No
- 16:12Speaker 1: plastic all done. So now it's do you want paper
- 16:16Speaker 1: or paper?
- 16:18Speaker 3: Well, you've heard of three strikes. Well, Meta's a little
- 16:21Speaker 3: more lenient. Apparently, a former employee of Meta, of course,
- 16:25Speaker 3: the owner of Facebook and Instagram, WhatsApp and threads, testified
- 16:29Speaker 3: as part of a major lawsuit that the tech company
- 16:32Speaker 3: had a policy that allowed seventeen strikes before it suspended
- 16:35Speaker 3: accounts engaging in the trafficking of humans for sex.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You know, that's almost hard to believe. It's so many now.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Meta did not deny it. All they said is we've
- 16:49Speaker 1: sort of changed our rules that the first go round
- 16:53Speaker 1: will now remove someone from our platform.
- 16:59Speaker 2: And that's another one.
- 17:00Speaker 1: If one person complains, does that mean that the person
- 17:05Speaker 1: being complained about is off the platform?
- 17:10Speaker 2: I don't know, You don't know.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Patel is being pelted with criticism for arranging for protection
- 17:21Speaker 3: for his girlfriend and other things. So Cash Betel is
- 17:27Speaker 3: the head of the FBI, and apparently his girlfriend, Alexis
- 17:33Speaker 3: Wilkins sang the star spangled banner at the National Rifle
- 17:36Speaker 3: Association's convention in Atlanta. Happened back in the spring, and
- 17:40Speaker 3: she showed up with a SWAT team with her to
- 17:43Speaker 3: protect her. Two agents were at the event. They checked
- 17:47Speaker 3: it out. They said the events secure, and so they said,
- 17:50Speaker 3: we're leaving, and they left, and then cash Betel was mad.
- 17:54Speaker 2: She was mad.
- 17:56Speaker 3: But this also brings him under scrutiny because what's he
- 17:59Speaker 3: doing using taxpayer money to protect his girlfriend? And that
- 18:04Speaker 3: has is being looked at because he also apparently used
- 18:09Speaker 3: a government jet for some recreational travel, like a golf
- 18:12Speaker 3: trip with his buddies to a private resort in Scotland
- 18:15Speaker 3: over the summer.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And look at the president. You know, the President does
- 18:19Speaker 1: not spend weekends in Washington. He is at mar A Lago,
- 18:23Speaker 1: or he is in New Jersey. Uh and the one
- 18:27Speaker 1: to mar A Lago. He flies down there. I mean
- 18:30Speaker 1: dozens and dozens of times since he was sworn in.
- 18:36Speaker 2: You know what that costs.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I mean just flying in for the weekend is insane.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah, but not to this extent.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Oh, George Bush used to go back to Texas every weekend.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Not every weekend, not like as a matter of fact,
- 18:52Speaker 1: we should get the figures hid the weekend.
- 18:56Speaker 2: You know what, that's a good.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Question George Bush versus President Trump in terms of numbers
- 19:02Speaker 1: of flights to hometown Texas versus mar A Lago. That
- 19:08Speaker 1: is a great bit of research that we should do.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And by the way, and if I am in the
- 19:15Speaker 1: wrong here you say, I can't find it, Bill, all right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I I captain. Okay, Now, if it turns out that
- 19:22Speaker 1: Amy's in the wrong, We're gonna will be in and out.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Of every break with.
- 19:27Speaker 3: That breaking news. Yes, we've got some grizzly new details
- 19:32Speaker 3: about the body of that teenager who was found stuffed
- 19:37Speaker 3: in a trunk in a tesla in Hollywood. Remember she
- 19:40Speaker 3: was found back in September, and they've been trying to
- 19:42Speaker 3: figure out what's going on. Well now they're saying TMC
- 19:46Speaker 3: is reporting that the girls decomposing parts had been frozen
- 19:51Speaker 3: and they were thawing out in the trunk, including a
- 19:54Speaker 3: head and a torso and David, a singer who she
- 20:00Speaker 3: was friends with, and one of the persons are apparently
- 20:03Speaker 3: now suspects.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But gosh gets worse. Yes, it was his car just
- 20:07Speaker 1: down the street. Yeah, I mean, this is a horror movie.
- 20:11Speaker 1: This is horrific. It's almost beyond credulity. It's so insanely depraved.
- 20:17Speaker 1: All right, I think we knew one more before we bailed.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Sort of playing nice after their friendly White House meeting
- 20:26Speaker 3: on Friday, President Trump, and so we're on Mom, Donnie
- 20:29Speaker 3: we're all chummy. After their meetings, said it was very productive. Well,
- 20:33Speaker 3: the mayor elect of New York City is saying that
- 20:34Speaker 3: the prospect of the National Guard being deployed to the
- 20:37Speaker 3: city seems less likely now. He was on Meet the Press.
- 20:41Speaker 3: He said he had made a strong case to the
- 20:43Speaker 3: President that the National Guard wasn't needed and that crime
- 20:47Speaker 3: was under control. Trump said, if they need it, I'd
- 20:52Speaker 3: do it. So it's still up in the air, but he's.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Not going to do it. Beyond that, they had a meeting.
- 20:57Speaker 2: They were both smiling.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Trump said, yeah, he thinks Mamdonnie is going to be
- 21:01Speaker 1: a good mayor. And they both agree on so many
- 21:06Speaker 1: aspects together. I mean, it became this from this vicious
- 21:10Speaker 1: attack on each other right down to now they're best friends.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And you did you find the figure? Well, I found
- 21:19Speaker 1: a figure.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:21Speaker 3: You want to know about Biden.
- 21:22Speaker 1: No, I want to know George Bush versus the President.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I didn't say Biden, I said Biden. Sorry, she said Biden.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I didn't say Biden. Well I have Biden's I'm gonna
- 21:31Speaker 2: tell Okay, all.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Right, what is Biden? The number of flights Biden took
- 21:34Speaker 1: on weekends out of the White.
- 21:35Speaker 2: House during his pregnancy. Privacy during his pregnancy, good point.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yes, his presidency, he took seventy six trips back home
- 21:44Speaker 1: to Delaware. Okay, that's a bunch. Were they were those flights?
- 21:51Speaker 1: I was he on Air Force one. I don't know
- 21:55Speaker 1: how far is Delaware from Washington, DC? Is that an
- 21:58Speaker 1: Air Force one flight?
- 21:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Maybe he took the train like he did when he
- 22:01Speaker 3: was a congressman.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Probably not, I doubt it.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Anyway, The question was George Bush, all right, let's get
- 22:08Speaker 1: back on.
- 22:09Speaker 3: All right, Well, here's something else to worry about when
- 22:12Speaker 3: you're flying over the holidays, or well anytime. LA airport
- 22:16Speaker 3: police say they've noticed an uptick in car thefts at
- 22:19Speaker 3: the airports, parking garages and lots. A point. They are,
- 22:23Speaker 3: apparently the thieves exploiting a new flaw in some vehicles,
- 22:29Speaker 3: and that is that you can punch out the rear
- 22:32Speaker 3: windows of some cars and that doesn't set off the alarm.
- 22:36Speaker 3: So they're getting in that way that somebody broke into
- 22:39Speaker 3: my car sort of that way because I have a
- 22:41Speaker 3: soft top. They took a knife to the soft top
- 22:44Speaker 3: and cut it all the way side to side and
- 22:47Speaker 3: climbed in through the top, which didn't set off the
- 22:50Speaker 3: alarm because the doors and windows weren't opened or broken.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so I guess you put an a motion detector.
- 22:56Speaker 1: They're not very expensive. It's just the new way of
- 22:59Speaker 1: dealing with security. And as newer cars are built, newer
- 23:04Speaker 1: and newer cars, the alarm system becomes more and more sophisticated.
- 23:08Speaker 2: To you can't buy a car without an alarm system.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I mean, when's the last time you could actually buy
- 23:13Speaker 1: a car that didn't have an alarm system? And I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't know the answer, so good for you. By the way,
- 23:20Speaker 1: do you still have a convertible?
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:25Speaker 2: Why would you admit that.
- 23:28Speaker 3: It's a hard top?
- 23:30Speaker 1: Oh, it's hard They do actually have convertible hardtops. I
- 23:35Speaker 1: know they're kind of neat. Okay, So why don't we
- 23:39Speaker 1: share your address? And the other thing about alarms going off?
- 23:42Speaker 1: The problem with alarms going off because I use my
- 23:44Speaker 1: alarm all the time to find my car in parking
- 23:46Speaker 1: lots because I always forget where I parked the car.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So I pushed the alarm and there it is going
- 23:52Speaker 1: Hong Hong Kong. That the lights flashing and I can
- 23:54Speaker 1: find the car. I'm not alone in doing that either.
- 23:56Speaker 1: How do you know when someone is really breaking in
- 23:58Speaker 1: and someone's trying to find the car?
- 24:03Speaker 3: Okay, uh, these balls brought in big bucks. Dodgers fans
- 24:11Speaker 3: will never forget the base balls hit by Miguel Rojas
- 24:15Speaker 3: in the ninth inning that tied the game Game seven
- 24:18Speaker 3: of the World Series, and Will Smith in the eleventh
- 24:21Speaker 3: Inny His home run ball flew over the left field
- 24:24Speaker 3: wall and into the first row of seats, And the
- 24:28Speaker 3: people who caught those balls have sold them. They went
- 24:32Speaker 3: up for auction, and Will Smith's home run ball, which
- 24:36Speaker 3: was the game winning run, sold for one hundred and
- 24:39Speaker 3: sixty eight thousand dollars. Rojas's home run ball that set
- 24:43Speaker 3: the game into extra innings went for one hundred and
- 24:45Speaker 3: fifty six thousand. And you'll remember, possibly earlier in the season,
- 24:49Speaker 3: sho hey O Tommy had probably the greatest game ever
- 24:52Speaker 3: in Major League Baseball history when he pitched and then
- 24:56Speaker 3: hit and hit three home runs. Well, one of those
- 24:59Speaker 3: home run balls from Game four of the Championship Series
- 25:02Speaker 3: was sold for two hundred and seventy thousand dollars.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Do you understand any of this? What you meant?
- 25:08Speaker 3: People spend money on it or what?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the value of these balls Game three, Game six
- 25:13Speaker 1: of the World Series. I just assigned Babe Ruth baseball.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I understand. I get that these were actually considered low, right,
- 25:21Speaker 1: because there are some balls that I've gone for over
- 25:23Speaker 1: a million dollars.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, when you've got more money than God, you
- 25:28Speaker 3: got to spend it on something, right.
- 25:29Speaker 2: When you have more money than brains, you sent it out.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Yeah, one of us cann't relate.
- 25:35Speaker 2: That's because you're a real smart person, aren't you.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Yes, Okay. The Israeli military has taken out one of
- 25:44Speaker 3: Hesbela's big wigs, they say, and it's been confirmed by
- 25:49Speaker 3: Benjamin Ett Yaho's office that Hesbela's second most senior figure,
- 25:55Speaker 3: the chief of staff, was killed in an air strike
- 25:59Speaker 3: in southern Bay Root. And Israel has said they are
- 26:03Speaker 3: going to step up attacks against in Lebanon and in
- 26:08Speaker 3: Gaza if we don't see forward progress in this peace agreement.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Now, this says a lot about the strength of Israel
- 26:16Speaker 1: relative to what it used to be. You've got Lebanon
- 26:20Speaker 1: being attacked a sovereign country. You have Iran being attacked
- 26:27Speaker 1: and nothing comes of it. There is no response. None
- 26:32Speaker 1: of these countries want to go up against Israel. It's
- 26:34Speaker 1: not simple. If Lebanon attacks, Israel has said, well, we'll
- 26:39Speaker 1: just take it to the ground. There'll be nothing left
- 26:41Speaker 1: of Lebanon, Southern Lebanon, and telling Iran you better be
- 26:46Speaker 1: pretty careful about what you're going to do with.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Us, and they're all listening.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that October seventh attack was not such a great,
- 26:56Speaker 1: great idea, was it?
- 26:58Speaker 2: All right, We're done with that.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You've been listening to The Bill Handle Show, Catch My
