- 0:01Worship of an external deity and Avatar savior, or enlightened
- 0:07being is recognized as a sign of religious dedication on the part
- 0:12of an individual. In many instances.
- 0:16However, this form of worship is a more or less empty ritual.
- 0:20That is part of a societal expectation or Norm or operates
- 0:25as a mechanism for indoctrination and control but
- 0:29does not necessarily effectuate any deeper change in the being.
- 0:35Founders and leaders of some of the great religions speak of an
- 0:39interchange that must take place to follow their teachings.
- 0:43Compassion peacefulness Goodwill sharing a non-judgmental
- 0:50attitude towards others represent just a few of the
- 0:54qualities that these leaders asked their followers to
- 0:57incorporate in their lives. How frequently however, have we
- 1:03seen religion turned into a weapon and a cause for hatred
- 1:07destruction, oppression suffering and greed.
- 1:13Some of the people most outwardly devotional seem to at
- 1:16some point, turn their devotion into a desire to control,
- 1:21dominate convert or put to the sword.
- 1:26Those who follow a different religious belief, the difference
- 1:31between organized religion and spirituality lies precisely in
- 1:36the need to shift from an outer form of worship to an inward
- 1:40process of growth and maturation.

- 2:06those around them worshipping a great soul is there for
- 2:12insufficient. What is needed is for the
- 2:15individual to work. At transforming himself into
- 2:18such a great Soul. The great leaders recognize that
- 2:22all are one part of the same Universal manifestation.
- 2:27And their role is to provide an example and influence and an
- 2:32encouragement for us to grow and represent what it is.
- 2:35We want to Worship in our lives and existence.
- 2:40We are not to worship the Divine from afar and create a
- 2:44separation and gap between God. And man, rather, we are to bring
- 2:49the Divine into our lives and close the gap.
