Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You can pass it down here, go right in the center, Tod.
- 0:09Speaker 2: James Boyd the athletic. Obviously a lot of talk about
- 0:12Speaker 2: your calf and you have to decide whether the player
- 0:14Speaker 2: or not things like that. But you are an inherently
- 0:18Speaker 2: unselfish player. I would imagine your parents ready to be
- 0:20Speaker 2: unel as a person. But how much selfishness do you
- 0:23Speaker 2: have to have in a moment like this to go
- 0:25Speaker 2: out there and play? And how much selfishness is good
- 0:27Speaker 2: selfishs to have as a high level athlete.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I mean, I just look at it as you know,
- 0:32Speaker 3: I want to be out there to compete with my brothers.
- 0:34Speaker 3: You know, these are guys that I'm willing to go
- 0:37Speaker 3: to war with and we've had such a special year
- 0:40Speaker 3: and we have a special.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Bond as a group.
- 0:42Speaker 3: And uh, you know, I think I beat myself up
- 0:44Speaker 3: if I didn't give it a chance, you know, And
- 0:47Speaker 3: you know, I just wanted to be out there and fight,
- 0:50Speaker 3: and I had to have honest conversation with the coach
- 0:54Speaker 3: that you know, if I didn't look like myself and
- 0:56Speaker 3: you know, was hurting the team, like shit me down
- 0:59Speaker 3: like that. Obviously, I want to be on the floor,
- 1:03Speaker 3: but I want.
- 1:04Speaker 1: To win, you know, more than anything.
- 1:05Speaker 3: So, uh, I just have an honest conversation with coach,
- 1:10Speaker 3: But yeah, I just I want to be on the
- 1:11Speaker 3: floor and if I have the ability to, if I can,
- 1:15Speaker 3: like I said, if I can walk, then I want
- 1:16Speaker 3: to be out there. So you know, I just want
- 1:19Speaker 3: to be out there with my brothers to to to compete.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And yeah, those guys have my back, and you know,
- 1:24Speaker 3: I feel like I have theirs at the same time.
- 1:26Speaker 4: So you know that was important for me again in
- 1:28Speaker 4: the front Terry Sackey for with the athletic this team
- 1:31Speaker 4: has never been this close to an NBA championship in
- 1:34Speaker 4: its history. You've talked with Reggie about how much that
- 1:36Speaker 4: would mean to you personally. How do you weigh that
- 1:39Speaker 4: over the next forty eight seventy hours with the focus
- 1:42Speaker 4: that's going to need to win in their place in
- 1:43Speaker 4: Game seven.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah, just not trying to look at it from like
- 1:49Speaker 3: a big picture thing, you know, not trying to look
- 1:51Speaker 3: at it in that way necessarily, Like we got one game.
- 1:55Speaker 1: One game.
- 1:56Speaker 3: You know, it's nothing that's happened before matters, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 3: and and nothing that's gonna happen after it matters. You know,
- 2:02Speaker 3: it's all about that one game, so uh, just trying
- 2:05Speaker 3: to approach it the right way. You know, for the
- 2:07Speaker 3: next couple of days there it's gonna be uh, you know,
- 2:10Speaker 3: the the narratives are are are going to be almost
- 2:13Speaker 3: poison you know, uh to talk about what this would
- 2:16Speaker 3: mean dur city and our organization and legacy talk. And
- 2:21Speaker 3: we played so well and now the pressures on that
- 2:24Speaker 3: like it's gonna you know what I mean, it's there's
- 2:26Speaker 3: gonna be uh, you know, narratives that we can't really
- 2:28Speaker 3: pay attention to.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You know, we got to control what we can.
- 2:32Speaker 3: You know, so much of these games has come down to,
- 2:35Speaker 3: you know, who's going to start the fight from a
- 2:37Speaker 3: physicality standpoint, and you know, take care of the ball better,
- 2:40Speaker 3: rebound the ball better. You know, those are important things
- 2:42Speaker 3: that we need to focus on. So you know, I
- 2:45Speaker 3: don't even want to say, like, you know, celebrate this
- 2:48Speaker 3: one a night move like it's done with. You know,
- 2:51Speaker 3: we did our job to take care home court, and
- 2:52Speaker 3: we gotta be ready to compete in game seven.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Tustin here on the left.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Dustin de here, can you start tying? You talked about
- 2:57Speaker 5: just whether you felt like yourself or not. I guess
- 2:59Speaker 5: how close or how far did you feel to yourself?
- 3:01Speaker 5: How long to take you kind of adjust to whatever
- 3:03Speaker 5: you know you were dealing with and had to commensate for,
- 3:05Speaker 5: and what what do you feel like you you managed
- 3:07Speaker 5: to kind of put together to uh just figure out
- 3:11Speaker 5: to deal with what you know with the calf muscle,
- 3:13Speaker 5: and you know what you.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Were Yeah, I don't know.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I was really for you guys to analyze as far
- 3:18Speaker 3: as what you think about how I performed, you know, I,
- 3:22Speaker 3: uh was just trying to come out and impact the
- 3:24Speaker 3: game in any way I could, you know, still trying
- 3:26Speaker 3: to be who I am at the same time. But obviously, yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm dealing dealing with something. But you know, nobody cares.
- 3:33Speaker 3: They don't care. I don't care. So you know, we
- 3:36Speaker 3: gotta get the games. You know, we gotta take care.
- 3:37Speaker 3: We took care of business day, but you gotta get.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Ready for game seven. You know. That's uh, that's a
- 3:42Speaker 1: really exciting time.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Ramona over here, Terry's Ramona Shelburn ESPN. You mentioned the
- 3:48Speaker 6: narratives are going to be poisoned for you guys in
- 3:50Speaker 6: the next couple of days. Keep your focus here. I
- 3:52Speaker 6: noticed to send your social media, haven't. I think your
- 3:54Speaker 6: last post was June sixth, right, maybe game one. Have
- 3:57Speaker 6: you stayed off that altogether? Have you been able to
- 3:59Speaker 6: avoid much much input coming into you from the outside world.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I've tried my best. I've tried my best.
- 4:05Speaker 3: You know, I don't have the apps or anything, And
- 4:09Speaker 3: be honest, sometimes I got a log on Twitter to
- 4:10Speaker 3: see what's going on with like WW or uh Susser
- 4:14Speaker 3: and other stuff, honestly, but not trying to stay off
- 4:18Speaker 3: as much as I can and just not pay attention
- 4:20Speaker 3: to outside noise as much as as much as you
- 4:23Speaker 3: know I can, you know, as much as we can
- 4:25Speaker 3: as a group. So you know, all that matters is,
- 4:28Speaker 3: you know, the opinions of the guys in the locker
- 4:29Speaker 3: room and what our focus will be over the next
- 4:31Speaker 3: forty eight hours. Yeah, I ideleted the apps, correct, Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 3: David in front.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Terry's can you walk us through the last forty eight
- 4:40Speaker 7: hours where you've been, who has been with you as
- 4:45Speaker 7: they round the clock treatment has proceeded, whether it was
- 4:48Speaker 7: in the training room or at your house or wherever
- 4:50Speaker 7: it was.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Yeah, trying to think after the game, went to sleep,
- 4:56Speaker 3: woke up, went to hyperbaric chamb got an MRI. I
- 5:02Speaker 3: had a meeting with uh, you know, a couple of
- 5:04Speaker 3: specialists and my agents in the organization.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And then the next day, more treatment at the.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Gym, more stuff at the gym, trying to get some
- 5:13Speaker 3: shots yesterday and then just around the clock, you know,
- 5:18Speaker 3: hyperbaric again, and you know, Carl and Justin and you
- 5:23Speaker 3: know been at my house coming and putting H wave
- 5:25Speaker 3: on me and doing a bunch of treatment that way. Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 3: I was trying to and then this morning hyperbaric again.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Usually not a game day hyperbaric person, but I try
- 5:35Speaker 3: to give myself the best shot that I could coming
- 5:38Speaker 3: into today.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And then just more H Wave, more treatment at the house.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:42Speaker 3: They's just you know, we got a lot of people
- 5:44Speaker 3: who uh you know take care of me, and we
- 5:47Speaker 3: have an elite medical staff. So it's been really good
- 5:51Speaker 3: to have those guys, you know, my house, helping however
- 5:53Speaker 3: they can. My family has been on me, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 3: they if i'm they call me and they're like, are
- 5:59Speaker 3: you doing treatment R now?
- 5:59Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm about to play the game, like put
- 6:02Speaker 1: some one your leg, you know. So my my.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Family's been holding me accountable. At the same time, so
- 6:07Speaker 3: just trying to take care of the best I could.
- 6:08Speaker 8: Tim the back left, Tim Reynolds ap Tyree Sat.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Ten and fifteen.
- 6:14Speaker 8: And then you guys overcome that you supposed to list
- 6:17Speaker 8: to Cleveland that didn't happen. Your point, you're dragging your
- 6:20Speaker 8: leg the other night, like how just when you when
- 6:24Speaker 8: you look at everything, how crazy is it that there
- 6:26Speaker 8: is just one game left and you're in it.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's exciting, man, It's so so exciting. As a
- 6:33Speaker 3: basketball fan. Uh, there's nothing like a game seven. There's
- 6:36Speaker 3: nothing like a Game seven in the NBA Finals. Dreamed
- 6:39Speaker 3: of being in this situation my whole life, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 3: so to be here it's really exciting, really exciting.
- 6:46Speaker 1: For me and our group.
- 6:47Speaker 3: And you know, like I said, what's happened in the
- 6:50Speaker 3: past doesn't matter, what happened today doesn't matter. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 3: it's all about one game, you know, and approaching.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That the right way.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So everybody's got to take care of their bodies, a
- 6:59Speaker 3: good couple films, sessions, you know, good preparation, you know,
- 7:02Speaker 3: to get ready for that and let the cards ball
- 7:05Speaker 3: where they may. You know, it's already written. You know,
- 7:07Speaker 3: we've we've we've worked our tails off, uh to get here,
- 7:10Speaker 3: and you know, you's got to trust the work that
- 7:11Speaker 3: we put in and uh, yeah, man, I would't want
- 7:14Speaker 3: to go to battle with any other guys, So I'm
- 7:16Speaker 3: really excited about it.
- 7:20Speaker 9: Pascal, what do you feel like was the biggest key
- 7:24Speaker 9: for you guys reducing the number of turnovers tonight, especially
- 7:27Speaker 9: after that was an issue in game five.
- 7:29Speaker 10: We just got to be strong with the ball. Obviously,
- 7:31Speaker 10: we know how disrupted they are. We was just yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 10: it's it's it's it's tough because it's a whole good defensively,
- 7:38Speaker 10: but we gotta we just gotta, we just gotta be
- 7:41Speaker 10: strong with the ball, two hands and yeah, I'll just
- 7:45Speaker 10: take of it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Front and center.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Pascal, James Boyd the athletic, What does it take to
- 7:53Speaker 2: force a Game seven? What did it take to win
- 7:54Speaker 2: a Game seven? You've been in both the chuice before
- 7:56Speaker 2: your career.
- 7:58Speaker 10: I mean, I think at this point, I mean it's
- 8:00Speaker 10: all about hard play. I mean, we've played each other
- 8:04Speaker 10: enough now where.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It's like it's pretty much.
- 8:07Speaker 10: I mean, I don't think there's secrets out there like
- 8:09Speaker 10: when we play, so I think it's just about who
- 8:13Speaker 10: wants it more like just playing hard and living it
- 8:15Speaker 10: all out there on the floor and living with the results.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Like I think that's all you can.
- 8:19Speaker 10: Really say in case where if you lose, you go home,
- 8:24Speaker 10: or if you force a game seven and then you
- 8:26Speaker 10: get to game seven, it's like, you know, you lose,
- 8:27Speaker 10: you know, you go home. So it's like one game
- 8:29Speaker 10: for the for for for everything. And I think at
- 8:32Speaker 10: that point it's just about hard play and and and
- 8:38Speaker 10: again sacrificing everything. You know, we worked so hard for
- 8:41Speaker 10: this opportunity and and your privilege enough to get it
- 8:44Speaker 10: at the highest, you know level ever and you know
- 8:49Speaker 10: it's it's it's just a blessing. We're fortunate to be here.
- 8:53Speaker 10: I just I just always remember the times where you know,
- 8:56Speaker 10: I had to to go on vacation early, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 10: like those things always play in my mind to just
- 9:01Speaker 10: be appreciative of of the fact that we're still here
- 9:05Speaker 10: and and we haven't we have a great opportunity. So
- 9:07Speaker 10: it's just going to be all about hard play, like
- 9:10Speaker 10: I said, and and and just understanding was in front
- 9:13Speaker 10: of us and going out there and living a lot
- 9:16Speaker 10: there on the floor.
- 9:17Speaker 9: Second Rop Ctter, let's call you let me circle from
- 9:20Speaker 9: your spin Brazil how much did it meant to see
- 9:23Speaker 9: all the sacrifices that Tyres made to being there the
- 9:26Speaker 9: game for you and for the whole group.
- 9:28Speaker 10: He's a tough kid, so I don't think we are
- 9:31Speaker 10: will At least I didn't have a doubt that he
- 9:32Speaker 10: was gonna, you know, be out there with us. And
- 9:36Speaker 10: and yeah, it just shows, you know, he's one of
- 9:39Speaker 10: our leaders on the team, and he's he's doing everything
- 9:42Speaker 10: he can to be out there for us, and and
- 9:44Speaker 10: we appreciate that.
