- 0:16May 11, 2026. Let's get you caught up. A stolen
- 0:20vehicle pursuit unfolded yesterday around 3 .30
- 0:22afternoon. Finally ending in the 4000 block of
- 0:2523rd Avenue, the suspect vehicle came to a stop
- 0:28and both occupants attempted to flee. The driver
- 0:32was captured almost immediately while the passenger
- 0:34reportedly fled on foot, losing a shoe in the
- 0:37roadway before eventually being taken into custody.
- 0:40At this point, there's no additional information
- 0:42on that situation. In Sacramento County Court,
- 0:46District Attorney Celeena Winston secured a four
- 0:50-year -to -life sentence for Amyis Coogler of the
- 0:532022 shooting death of Corey Shearer. Prosecutors
- 0:57say the sheriff's deputy responded to a house
- 1:00party shooting on August 5, 2022, where the victim
- 1:03was found suffering from four gunshot wounds.
- 1:07Investigators later tied Coogler to the crime
- 1:09through witness description, surveillance video,
- 1:12DNA evidence, and a firearm determined to be
- 1:15used in the shooting. In City Watch, Sacramento
- 1:19says crews have repaired more than 7 ,700 potholes
- 1:22in less than 50 days during a citywide pothole
- 1:26blitz launched in March. Officials say 77...
- 1:307 ,761 potholes were filled across all eight
- 1:35council districts, with District 4 seeing the
- 1:38highest number of repairs, followed by District
- 1:402. The city said crews relied on resident complaints,
- 1:45pavement condition data, and field inspections
- 1:48to prioritize repairs. Residents can continue
- 1:52to report potholes through the 311 City app or
- 1:57online. In today's weather, it will be sunny
