- 0:05Speaker 1: of killer rabbits headed this way and we desperately need
- 0:08Speaker 1: your help. Roll up your windows. Turn on your lights
- 0:12Speaker 1: and follow the police car at the entrance of the theater.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Please keep calm and cooperate with the authorities. Do you
- 0:19Speaker 1: read me?
- 0:23Speaker 2: The following feature has been rated R by the Motion
- 0:25Speaker 2: Picture Association of America.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised.
- 0:42Speaker 4: It's showtime, folks.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Enjoy the show.
- 0:47Speaker 5: In your Easter bonnets With all the thrills upon it,
- 0:55Speaker 5: you'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade.
- 1:02Speaker 1: This is J.T.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Petty, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:07Speaker 5: And when they look you over, I'll be the proudest
- 1:12Speaker 5: of fellas. And the Easter parade.
- 1:17Speaker 7: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 1:21Speaker 8: I tell you, Elgin, these rabbits are eating me out
- 1:23Speaker 8: of house and home. Well, I've arranged to have Professor
- 1:26Speaker 8: Taylor meet us in my office. Now, wait a minute.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Not that guy.
- 1:31Speaker 8: Why not? He's the one that got rid of your
- 1:32Speaker 8: coyotes for you. Yeah, well, he's just a little bit
- 1:34Speaker 8: too good. I haven't heard a coyote yapping around there
- 1:37Speaker 8: for over a year. Now, that's terrific news for the rabbits,
- 1:40Speaker 8: but it's lousy for me. I mean, there's a balance
- 1:43Speaker 8: to these things, Elgin.
- 1:44Speaker 1: It's tricky.
- 1:45Speaker 8: Yeah, I know it is. Look, I got a thought.
- 1:47Speaker 8: There's a young couple here from the East on an
- 1:49Speaker 8: exchange program. The name's Bennett, and they're looking for new
- 1:51Speaker 8: ways to control insects without killing everything else at the
- 1:54Speaker 8: same time. I have rabbits, not bugs. There's nothing left
- 1:58Speaker 8: for a bug to live on. You trust me, Cole.
- 2:01Speaker 8: They won't go around killing everything in sight. I'll get
- 2:04Speaker 8: up there to see them right away.
- 2:06Speaker 7: Mushrooms color wizard grace.
- 2:09Speaker 9: Every morning, giant rabbit for lunch. Giant rabbit, do not fear.
- 2:23Speaker 9: We are only three little junkies. Fuck off, damn it,
- 2:31Speaker 9: giant rabbit.
- 2:33Speaker 10: We are only.
- 2:38Speaker 11: Welcome to Movie Meltdown Sofa Theater. Once again, I am Brian.
- 2:42Speaker 12: Hi, this is Roger.
- 2:42Speaker 13: I am still Misty.
- 2:45Speaker 10: I'm still Jay.
- 2:46Speaker 7: And this is Rod.
- 2:48Speaker 11: Marlena has wandered off. She was frightened.
- 2:50Speaker 13: She couldn't handle the movie.
- 2:51Speaker 14: She had to leave.
- 2:52Speaker 12: I couldn't fucking handle it. I'm like in a bad
- 2:54Speaker 12: mood right now because of that movie.
- 2:56Speaker 15: Seriously, it sucks.
- 2:57Speaker 10: I thought at one point you got up and came
- 2:59Speaker 10: in here and sat down.
- 3:00Speaker 12: I wanted to. I almost wanted to come back. Go outside.
- 3:02Speaker 12: Are you going to.
- 3:03Speaker 13: Sleep cream off of it anyway?
- 3:04Speaker 12: I have a cigarette.
- 3:05Speaker 10: He was trying to.
- 3:06Speaker 12: I was trying to.
- 3:07Speaker 10: He got up and stormed out of the room. He
- 3:08Speaker 10: was like, worst movie ever.
- 3:10Speaker 2: God.
- 3:12Speaker 11: Oh, well, this week's special Easter extravaganza edition of Sofa
- 3:17Speaker 11: Theater features the horrific tale, Night of the Lepus.
- 3:21Speaker 13: If by horrific you just mean bad and unwatchable, then yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 13: you have this movie right here.
- 3:24Speaker 10: This is a movie they would have crammed on Channel
- 3:26Speaker 10: 41 at like 11 or 12 o'clock.
- 3:29Speaker 11: Yes, they would have.
- 3:31Speaker 12: And did.
- 3:31Speaker 11: And did, I'm sure.
- 3:32Speaker 10: Right before the national anthem.
- 3:35Speaker 7: I'm starting to think we should have just watched Peter
- 3:37Speaker 7: Cottontail because everybody hates Easter right now.
- 3:41Speaker 11: Oh, I was right. It is early 70s. The year
- 3:43Speaker 11: is 1972. Director William F. Claxton. And I hate him.
- 3:47Speaker 6: He's the shocker.
- 3:47Speaker 11: Oh, well, we don't want to ruin what we thought
- 3:52Speaker 11: of the movie yet, so we'll get to that in
- 3:54Speaker 11: a minute.
- 3:54Speaker 7: Oh, sorry.
- 3:55Speaker 10: I don't think it's made clear what we think it is.
- 3:58Speaker 11: Oh, I do like the tagline. They were born in
- 4:00Speaker 11: that tragic moment where science made its great mistake. Now
- 4:04Speaker 11: from behind the shroud of night they come, a scuttling,
- 4:07Speaker 11: shambling horde of creatures destroying all in their path. Bunnies,
- 4:12Speaker 11: it must be bunnies.
- 4:14Speaker 10: Guys in bunny costumes.
- 4:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 8: Oh, so.
- 4:18Speaker 7: This is the infamous giant rabbit movie with Dr. McCoy
- 4:22Speaker 7: in it. That's usually how you.
- 4:23Speaker 13: Hear it described. He wasn't in it near enough.
- 4:25Speaker 7: That's true. You couldn't see DeForest from the trees.
- 4:27Speaker 16: I just realized that this whole shit wouldn't have gotten
- 4:30Speaker 16: started if it hadn't been for that fucking stupid kid
- 4:33Speaker 16: and her damn bunny rabbit.
- 4:34Speaker 11: No!
- 4:35Speaker 10: It's all her fault.
- 4:36Speaker 11: That other little brat that was like, no, let it go.
- 4:38Speaker 11: It's killed my other... Like, smack that kid.
- 4:42Speaker 7: I don't know how long this is, because it seemed
- 4:43Speaker 7: like three hours, but it was at least 90 minutes
- 4:46Speaker 7: of rabbits running in slow motion.
- 4:48Speaker 13: The sounds, it sounded like they were underwater. It was unnatural.
- 5:02Speaker 11: Much like giant bunnies, it was messing with you.
- 5:04Speaker 7: It was the composer's kid farting in the bathtub, because that's.
- 5:08Speaker 16: Basically what it sounded like. The score was on a loop.
- 5:12Speaker 16: All the bunny scenes were on a loop. All the
- 5:14Speaker 16: bunny attack scenes were on a loop. Everything was on
- 5:17Speaker 16: one huge, gigantic loop.
- 5:18Speaker 12: It was like, what, two pages of dialogue or something?
- 5:21Speaker 10: I think most of it was, yeah, the slow motion
- 5:23Speaker 10: bunny running.
- 5:24Speaker 12: Oh my god.
- 5:25Speaker 13: It was ridiculous. I mean, get it. They're big fucking bunnies.
- 5:27Speaker 8: Don't show us.
- 5:28Speaker 13: This over and over and over again. Holy shit on
- 5:31Speaker 13: a stick. It was horrible.
- 5:32Speaker 7: I mean, the hardest thing for a cinematographer ever to
- 5:35Speaker 7: do is to make a bunny look scary. And it's
- 5:38Speaker 7: an epic fail.
- 5:40Speaker 10: They still don't look scary.
- 5:42Speaker 7: They tried to find the ugliest bunnies from the close-ups possible.
- 5:45Speaker 13: And they slapped gravy on their face.
- 5:47Speaker 12: They put ketchup or something all over them.
- 5:49Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 13: Some of them just had gravy. It was like brown.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Gravy.
- 5:52Speaker 11: I don't know. There's some times.
- 5:54Speaker 7: Power teeth.
- 5:55Speaker 17: Imagine.
- 5:55Speaker 11: Yeah, the teeth are scary.
- 5:56Speaker 7: They still could make them scary.
- 5:58Speaker 11: There's some of them that are disturbing. There's something about
- 6:01Speaker 11: Bloody Bunnies. As I said last year when we watched
- 6:04Speaker 11: the other Bloody Bunny movie. There's something disturbing about that.
- 6:08Speaker 11: There's just something weird about it.
- 6:10Speaker 7: This movie is really bloody. They do not skimp on
- 6:14Speaker 7: the blood and it's that thick.
- 6:15Speaker 11: Hammer looking orange.
- 6:19Speaker 7: Herschel Gordon Lewis color blood stuff. It's not the thin stuff.
- 6:24Speaker 11: It's thick almost like paint.
- 6:27Speaker 16: It's brighter than any other color in the movie. It's
- 6:30Speaker 16: brighter than any color in this movie.
- 6:32Speaker 7: There's a lot of it. it's every bunny that gets
- 6:36Speaker 7: bit gets doused.
- 6:38Speaker 11: You never see any other than the first guy's missing
- 6:40Speaker 11: like his arm it's thrown off to the side but
- 6:42Speaker 11: after that there's no actual impact there's no like bunnies
- 6:45Speaker 11: eating hollowing.
- 6:47Speaker 16: Out your body it's bad and it's just people that
- 6:49Speaker 16: got doused.
- 6:50Speaker 11: With red paint their clothes are always messed up my
- 6:52Speaker 11: finger painted all over the bunnies hate those clothes but
- 6:55Speaker 11: they don't ever really get into the flesh so much
- 6:58Speaker 11: yeah they just don't like the stupid clothes they wear.
- 7:00Speaker 10: Almost the 70s.
- 7:01Speaker 13: I'm proud they didn't tag Janet Leigh then with her
- 7:03Speaker 13: fucking outfit.
- 7:04Speaker 11: You love those outfits.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Speaking of Janet Leigh, what other people's careers were tarnished
- 7:08Speaker 7: by this turd?
- 7:10Speaker 11: Oh, wow. Well, I can give you her reason for it.
- 7:14Speaker 11: They had it listed as to why she made this movie.
- 7:16Speaker 11: Didn't she have to.
- 7:17Speaker 13: Be in town anyways?
- 7:18Speaker 11: No, it said, yeah, Janet Leigh said in an interview,
- 7:22Speaker 11: regards to Night of the Lepus, I'd forgotten as much
- 7:25Speaker 11: as I could about that picture. She also went on
- 7:27Speaker 11: record saying her reason for taking the role in the
- 7:29Speaker 11: film is simply because it was close to her home
- 7:31Speaker 11: in California and meant less time away from her family.
- 7:34Speaker 7: Yeah, that's the same thing Bruce Campbell said about My
- 7:36Speaker 7: Name is Bruce.
- 7:37Speaker 11: Yeah. The thing is, has anybody seen the trailer for this?
- 7:42Speaker 10: No.
- 7:43Speaker 7: I don't think I have.
- 7:44Speaker 11: The trailer.
- 7:45Speaker 7: It doesn't exist?
- 7:46Speaker 11: No, it's on there.
- 7:47Speaker 7: The trailer probably doesn't tell you what it's about.
- 7:49Speaker 11: That's the thing. The trailer's awesome.
- 7:54Speaker 4: What?
- 7:55Speaker 9: What?
- 7:57Speaker 17: Happened that night science made its greatest mistake.
- 8:03Speaker 7: What unknown terror.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Was born that night?
- 8:16Speaker 17: What is the terrifying mutant that strikes from behind the
- 8:26Speaker 17: shroud of night.
- 8:28Speaker 11: Like the trailer is really really cool because it's got
- 8:31Speaker 11: this big build-up it's got this big voiceover and it's
- 8:33Speaker 11: just like it's kind of that the same thing that
- 8:35Speaker 11: the little synopsis there or the their tagline was it's
- 8:39Speaker 11: got this crazy ominous like creatures coming to get you
- 8:42Speaker 11: in the night kind of build-up and the most they
- 8:45Speaker 11: show you is like the big super close-up of rabbit's
- 8:48Speaker 11: eye other than you never get anything else it's like
- 8:50Speaker 11: cut scenes from like The people walking around, looking out
- 8:53Speaker 11: the window, about to get attacked.
- 8:54Speaker 7: I wonder how many kids and people this film disappointed.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Because even the title. I mean, if you don't know
- 8:59Speaker 7: what Lepus is, that's not a word you hear every day.
- 9:02Speaker 7: You wouldn't know what that was.
- 9:03Speaker 11: Most people don't know what Lepus is.
- 9:05Speaker 7: What is that? Is that the phylum or something?
- 9:08Speaker 11: I think it's Latin. It's Latin for rabbit.
- 9:11Speaker 13: It's also Latin for werewolf, too.
- 9:13Speaker 11: There you go.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Lupus. Lupus.
- 9:16Speaker 11: Oh, there you go.
- 9:16Speaker 13: So anybody who's almost thinking, they're not quite.
- 9:20Speaker 7: Were-rabbits.
- 9:21Speaker 13: Like, I'm going to see one of them in our
- 9:22Speaker 13: werewolf movies.
- 9:23Speaker 7: Because, I mean, if they called the movie Night of
- 9:24Speaker 7: the Bunnies, I don't think anybody would go see it.
- 9:26Speaker 11: Well, that's why. See, that's the thing. That's why I
- 9:28Speaker 11: give them credit for marketing on this thing. Because, yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 11: the trailer's awesome. Doesn't show you any rabbit shots of
- 9:34Speaker 11: any way. They said the, I'm trying to think, it
- 9:38Speaker 11: was originally supposed to be titled Rabbits, but MGM felt
- 9:41Speaker 11: the title didn't suit a horror movie, and they had
- 9:43Speaker 11: to rename it. This movie didn't suit a horror movie.
- 9:47Speaker 11: They had to rename it the more sinister Night of
- 9:49Speaker 11: the Lepus. It's going to be the.
- 9:51Speaker 10: Old bait and switch, kind of like in Glorious Bastards.
- 9:53Speaker 7: This is probably the nadir of Janet Lee's career.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Maybe the nadir of DeForest Kelly's career.
- 10:05Speaker 11: This was the last regular movie he did.
- 10:07Speaker 7: Not so much.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Wow.
- 10:09Speaker 7: This is a typical run-of-the-mill film for Stuart Whitman. Pretty much.
- 10:13Speaker 11: Yeah, this was the last non-Star Trek movie DeForest Kelly
- 10:16Speaker 11: ever did. Really?
- 10:17Speaker 13: He had a fantastic mustache.
- 10:19Speaker 11: Just shut him down.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Yeah, really.
- 10:21Speaker 10: They were like, you know what? No more acting for you.
- 10:23Speaker 7: You know what, DeForest? You're not picking scripts for a while.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Stick to the Star Trek scripts.
- 10:28Speaker 11: Why don't you just cash that Star Trek paycheck?
- 10:30Speaker 6: You'll be okay.
- 10:32Speaker 11: Where else to go with this? Well, the thing I
- 10:35Speaker 11: noticed was, again, this is something that you don't see now. Like, again,
- 10:38Speaker 11: if they made a movie now, there's no way in
- 10:39Speaker 11: hell they would make all the main characters in it
- 10:41Speaker 11: are old.
- 10:42Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 11: I was like, because it was even funny. The one
- 10:45Speaker 11: guy in the beginning is like, well, there's this young couple.
- 10:47Speaker 11: And then they show Janet Leigh, who's like, what, 55, 60,
- 10:49Speaker 11: and this? I was like, young couple?
- 10:51Speaker 8: My ass.
- 10:52Speaker 7: Yeah, really.
- 10:53Speaker 11: I was like, and the other guy's older.
- 10:54Speaker 13: Is this one of the young couple's moms?
- 10:55Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 10:56Speaker 11: I was like, the guy's older than she is. I
- 10:57Speaker 11: was like, young couple?
- 10:59Speaker 7: Every time I look at Stuart Whitman, his hair is
- 11:01Speaker 7: so black. I mean, it looks like he just took
- 11:02Speaker 7: a bath and hair dye.
- 11:04Speaker 11: You know?
- 11:05Speaker 15: It's like, oh.
- 11:06Speaker 7: That and his eyebrows. Yeah.
- 11:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 11:08Speaker 11: They're all out of control.
- 11:10Speaker 16: Misty had pointed out his eyebrows needed some major manscaping.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Because they were. They were curled up.
- 11:16Speaker 13: They remind me of your dad's eyebrows.
- 11:18Speaker 12: Yeah, my dad.
- 11:19Speaker 13: Before your mom got a hold of them.
- 11:21Speaker 10: My mom manscaped my dad's eyebrows. It's pretty fucking funny.
- 11:25Speaker 7: What's even weirder about this movie is it's played absolutely straight.
- 11:29Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 7: There's no camp factor at all.
- 11:32Speaker 17: No, no, no.
- 11:32Speaker 7: Not at all. Which almost makes it better. In fact,
- 11:35Speaker 7: it should be epically great, but it's not. Oh, it's
- 11:38Speaker 7: so serious.
- 11:40Speaker 11: Yeah, it's, it's play. And that's the thing. I mean,
- 11:43Speaker 11: you would think people would just have a real, like they're,
- 11:45Speaker 11: they're standing out there and you're on the bullhorn and
- 11:47Speaker 11: they're like, all right, the town's about to be attacked
- 11:49Speaker 11: by giant bunnies and like, just continue on. Like nobody's like, wait, what?
- 11:53Speaker 11: Shouldn't people be questioning this shit?
- 11:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:55Speaker 10: Well, it's like that part where the cop dries up.
- 11:58Speaker 16: Everybody's sitting at the drive-in and the cop drives up,
- 12:00Speaker 16: gets out, he's got the megaphone.
- 12:03Speaker 7: There are giant rabbits heading toward the drive-in.
- 12:05Speaker 10: Giant killer rabbits.
- 12:07Speaker 11: Well, of course.
- 12:08Speaker 10: Don't you think everybody would just be like, fuck you.
- 12:11Speaker 11: Some sort of promotional thing for the drive-in this weekend.
- 12:14Speaker 10: I love coming to the drive-in.
- 12:17Speaker 11: We get free popcorn now, right? We don't have to
- 12:20Speaker 11: put up with this bullshit. By the way, rabbit legs
- 12:24Speaker 11: on sale at the concession stand. Tonight's special feature, Hossenpfeffer. So, ah, Lord,
- 12:31Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 12:33Speaker 7: It would have been great if there was an Elmer
- 12:34Speaker 7: Fudd character in this movie.
- 12:38Speaker 11: Oh, if there was anything that could have made it
- 12:39Speaker 11: a little cheesier.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Don Knotts or something like that.
- 12:43Speaker 11: I'm a hunter and a rabbit.
- 12:44Speaker 7: Shh, rabbit fact.
- 12:47Speaker 17: Oh, man.
- 12:48Speaker 11: So, I mean, the one thing I will give them,
- 12:50Speaker 11: and some of these little set pieces were ridiculously well made.
- 12:55Speaker 11: Very meticulous. Yeah, they cram a lot of live shots
- 12:59Speaker 11: of rabbits running.
- 13:00Speaker 17: A lot.
- 13:01Speaker 7: A lot.
- 13:02Speaker 5: A lot.
- 13:03Speaker 1: A lot.
- 13:04Speaker 11: In through these, like, miniature sets. And some of the sets, like, again,
- 13:07Speaker 11: it's so ridiculous that you're obviously like, okay, obviously that's
- 13:10Speaker 11: a tiny little set. But if you weren't... Props to
- 13:13Speaker 11: Marlena's grandfather who actually worked on it.
- 13:15Speaker 7: Building some of those sets for this.
- 13:17Speaker 11: Movie supposedly made yeah a lot of sets and she
- 13:20Speaker 11: said usually he did full size sets but on this
- 13:22Speaker 11: one supposedly made a lot of the tiny little sets
- 13:25Speaker 11: that the bunnies are ravaging So, yeah, I think that
- 13:29Speaker 11: stuff looks good.
- 13:31Speaker 12: The people in the bunny suits attacking the horses does
- 13:34Speaker 12: not look good.
- 13:35Speaker 11: That's a whole other thing.
- 13:36Speaker 7: Anytime you have to cut to a guy in a
- 13:38Speaker 7: bunny suit, it just looks like a guy in a
- 13:40Speaker 7: bunny suit.
- 13:40Speaker 11: It's an Easter bunny.
- 13:41Speaker 12: And it's an obvious scale differentiation from the huge bunnies
- 13:44Speaker 12: that are as big as cars almost.
- 13:46Speaker 7: I do have a favorite shot in the movie. It's
- 13:48Speaker 7: where Rory Calhoun shows up. He's also in the movie.
- 13:52Speaker 7: He's a cowboy western star. He shows up at the
- 13:54Speaker 7: general store, and he looks in the window. And the
- 13:57Speaker 7: whole store's full of rabbits, but they all look like
- 13:59Speaker 7: they're sitting around the table waiting for the waitress to
- 14:02Speaker 7: show up. They all kind of look over at him.
- 14:04Speaker 7: It's a really weird shot.
- 14:06Speaker 13: One's like smiling.
- 14:07Speaker 7: Yeah, he's sitting there chilling out going, hey, where's the menu?
- 14:12Speaker 11: Hey, have you seen the waitress again? She never came
- 14:14Speaker 11: back with my coffee.
- 14:15Speaker 7: What the hell? It's a great shot.
- 14:17Speaker 11: Well, they did kill the waitress. It's their own fault.
- 14:20Speaker 11: Why don't they just eat her? Well, they wanted.
- 14:22Speaker 13: They seemed to kill a lot of people. They didn't
- 14:23Speaker 13: eat anybody.
- 14:23Speaker 11: Yeah, I know. What's up with that?
- 14:24Speaker 7: They're just angry.
- 14:25Speaker 11: And, well, right off the bat, it was funny, because
- 14:28Speaker 11: for some reason, because they became giant bunnies, I threw
- 14:31Speaker 11: this out the window, but Marlene was sitting there going...
- 14:33Speaker 11: Rabbits don't even eat people. Why the hell are they
- 14:35Speaker 11: eating people? They don't eat them, though.
- 14:38Speaker 13: I'm curious about why they didn't show any bunny poop,
- 14:40Speaker 13: because bunnies shit a lot.
- 14:42Speaker 11: They do.
- 14:42Speaker 15: All they do is poop.
- 14:44Speaker 13: Why was there no bunny poop? Why was there no
- 14:46Speaker 13: boulder-sized bunny poop?
- 14:48Speaker 11: If we were going to take it that realistically, then
- 14:51Speaker 11: we should have also seen giant bunnies fucking all the time.
- 14:54Speaker 11: Where was that shot at?
- 14:55Speaker 7: They kept waiting for the cops to go, we need
- 14:58Speaker 7: an air drop of carrots right away.
- 15:00Speaker 17: You know?
- 15:01Speaker 11: We can lure them to the train tracks with carrots. Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 11: I was waiting for him to knock over a carrot
- 15:07Speaker 11: truck or something. Because that one guy did have a
- 15:09Speaker 11: produce truck. I was like, he should have opened the back.
- 15:11Speaker 11: It was nothing but carrots. No such luck.
- 15:14Speaker 17: Oh, man.
- 15:14Speaker 8: We get bunnies versus cows.
- 15:16Speaker 17: We got that.
- 15:16Speaker 18: Imagine that.
- 15:28Speaker 13: I'm like, seriously, they're official little bulls. They all have horns.
- 15:31Speaker 13: Why don't they just gore the hell out of these
- 15:33Speaker 13: bunnies and get it over with?
- 15:34Speaker 14: I told you.
- 15:35Speaker 11: Steer or dome, they don't know they have horns. They
- 15:37Speaker 11: just ran away. They were frightened.
- 15:39Speaker 13: I'm just pissed off at this movie. I'm just having
- 15:42Speaker 13: a hard time wanting to talk about it.
- 15:43Speaker 11: I just want to forget I even watched it and
- 15:46Speaker 11: be done with this movie.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Marlena said something before she left that they got the
- 15:51Speaker 7: bunnies to run around by taking huge pots and pans
- 15:54Speaker 7: and making lots of noise with them and scaring them.
- 15:57Speaker 11: There was a lot of running, so I guess they
- 15:59Speaker 11: were banging a lot of pots and pans.
- 16:01Speaker 10: I can't imagine that no bunnies were hurt in the making.
- 16:04Speaker 7: Of this film.
- 16:06Speaker 11: How about the one on fire?
- 16:07Speaker 7: The one on fire, yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 12: It was a stuffed animal.
- 16:10Speaker 17: Jeez.
- 16:11Speaker 12: No, it didn't look like a stuffed animal. It was obvious.
- 16:14Speaker 12: You thought that was a real rat?
- 16:15Speaker 11: That was real. It was fucking.
- 16:17Speaker 10: A stuffed animal.
- 16:18Speaker 7: I'm sure that's what they type-painted it.
- 16:19Speaker 12: It's probably dragged around on a piece of line or something.
- 16:22Speaker 7: It didn't look like a stuffed animal to me.
- 16:24Speaker 13: No, it was really just a man in a bunny suit.
- 16:26Speaker 11: Oh, yeah, it.
- 16:27Speaker 12: Was a man in a bunny suit. A man got hurt.
- 16:29Speaker 11: Well, that's fine. As long as you don't hurt bunnies.
- 16:33Speaker 13: Vito would not have liked this movie.
- 16:34Speaker 10: Yeah, Vito would have had a field day with this movie.
- 16:36Speaker 10: Especially with bunnies.
- 16:38Speaker 11: This is one of the few movies that, I mean,
- 16:40Speaker 11: as ridiculous as it is and as much as we
- 16:42Speaker 11: were like, groaning and making fun of it you'd still
- 16:45Speaker 11: never in a horror movie would you also every once
- 16:47Speaker 11: in a while get a aww yeah that was usually
- 16:50Speaker 11: misty as much as you hated it come on every
- 16:52Speaker 11: once in a while there were cute bunnies bunnies.
- 16:54Speaker 13: Who doesn't I mean seriously bunnies are cute I wish
- 16:57Speaker 13: I would have had more loppier bunnies because they're even
- 17:00Speaker 13: cuter but you know whatever.
- 17:02Speaker 10: But then it wouldn't have been scary It wasn't scary anyway.
- 17:05Speaker 11: This was scary.
- 17:06Speaker 7: Come on.
- 17:07Speaker 10: That's the thing.
- 17:08Speaker 16: You're trying to make something that's completely not scary into
- 17:11Speaker 16: something scary.
- 17:11Speaker 7: What's next? Vampire Butterflies? Three or four weeks ago, we
- 17:14Speaker 7: watched Kingdom of the Spiders with William Shatner. But that
- 17:17Speaker 7: was awesome. Technically, those two movies are very similar.
- 17:21Speaker 11: That's what I was thinking. It is similar.
- 17:23Speaker 13: It picks up in this naturally scary.
- 17:26Speaker 11: Spiders.
- 17:26Speaker 7: There's Stuart Whitman, and then there's William Shatner. Obviously, a
- 17:29Speaker 7: big difference there. But then there's the... Tarantulas, the spiders,
- 17:33Speaker 7: and bunnies. I mean, there's a huge difference.
- 17:36Speaker 10: Most people have a belt in fear of spiders or snakes.
- 17:39Speaker 7: Not rabbits?
- 17:40Speaker 10: I don't know anybody that's afraid of rabbits except for
- 17:43Speaker 10: maybe Emma Caulfield.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Who said that? She's probably not really afraid of him
- 17:49Speaker 7: in real life.
- 17:50Speaker 17: Oh, man.
- 17:51Speaker 11: Yeah, but I was thinking that when I was watching it.
- 17:53Speaker 11: I was like, this is plot-wise very similar to Kingdom
- 17:56Speaker 11: of the Spiders. They do the whole same time period.
- 17:59Speaker 10: Animal attack movie.
- 18:01Speaker 7: It's around the same time period. It's got a similar
- 18:05Speaker 7: feel to it. Why is one movie so awesome and
- 18:07Speaker 7: the other one so bad?
- 18:09Speaker 10: One of them's got Shatner in it and the other
- 18:11Speaker 10: one doesn't.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Not even that.
- 18:12Speaker 11: I think it was pacing.
- 18:12Speaker 13: Shatner in tight-ass pants.
- 18:13Speaker 11: I think it was pacing. I think that, you know,
- 18:16Speaker 11: at least Kingdom of the Spiders kept it moving. It
- 18:18Speaker 11: kept stuff kind of interesting. It didn't seem like it
- 18:20Speaker 11: was going on for four hours. The last half of
- 18:22Speaker 11: this movie just becomes this long, stretched out shot of
- 18:25Speaker 11: bunnies running and then cut back to the people talking
- 18:28Speaker 11: on the phone or bringing cars over.
- 18:30Speaker 7: They're coming this way!
- 18:30Speaker 11: And then more bunnies.
- 18:32Speaker 10: They're almost here!
- 18:33Speaker 11: Underwater bunnies.
- 18:34Speaker 7: There's really not a lot of scenes of people under
- 18:37Speaker 7: siege of the bunnies or fighting against the bunnies. They're
- 18:40Speaker 7: just on the radio somewhere talking about where they're going
- 18:43Speaker 7: and then we cut the shots of them slow-mo scampering
- 18:46Speaker 7: bunnies and that's all you get so that i think
- 18:48Speaker 7: that's what really brings this one down as much as
- 18:50Speaker 7: it's a ridiculous idea anyway that's what makes it different
- 18:53Speaker 7: i think than kingdom of the spiders because they start
- 18:55Speaker 7: off very similar it's a whole lot of down with
- 18:57Speaker 7: ddt and messing with your ecosystem you know because it
- 19:01Speaker 7: is a lot of it's about balance and they're just
- 19:02Speaker 7: like that's the whole thing with the coyotes which we
- 19:04Speaker 7: also brought up right as they brought this up Because
- 19:07Speaker 7: he got rid of the coyotes on his land the
- 19:08Speaker 7: year before, and now there's this, you.
- 19:10Speaker 11: Know, overpopulation of rabbits. Yeah, so, you know, we were
- 19:14Speaker 11: just like... How could they do scorpions or snakes? Wait,
- 19:17Speaker 11: how about squirrels?
- 19:19Speaker 17: Squirrels?
- 19:19Speaker 11: When's the squirrels movie? Protect your nuts!
- 19:22Speaker 12: Chipmunks would be even worse.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Yes.
- 19:24Speaker 11: Wait, that's the squeakle. It's coming out.
- 19:26Speaker 10: Hold on.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Squirrels. That'd be the horror movie for my dogs.
- 19:31Speaker 11: Mine would still go after them. They don't care.
- 19:33Speaker 8: I'm terrified of them.
- 19:35Speaker 11: So, yeah, I think that was kind of, I don't know,
- 19:38Speaker 11: that was the main difference there, but it does tap
- 19:40Speaker 11: into that whole, you know, balance thing, and once you
- 19:43Speaker 11: mess up your ecosystem, you know, everything else snowballs and
- 19:46Speaker 11: goes out of whack, and it doesn't help when you
- 19:48Speaker 11: start throwing hormones. into the mix and creating giant bunnies.
- 19:52Speaker 11: And what was that?
- 19:53Speaker 13: And bratty kids.
- 19:54Speaker 11: Oh, bratty kids. Well, there was a bratty kid in
- 19:56Speaker 11: both of those movies.
- 19:58Speaker 7: Actually, they never really bring that up, but it really
- 20:00Speaker 7: is the little girl's fault at all.
- 20:01Speaker 17: It is.
- 20:02Speaker 11: Yep.
- 20:02Speaker 17: It is.
- 20:04Speaker 11: Otherwise, they were, you know, keeping them control group, you know,
- 20:07Speaker 11: trying to keep it from spreading out into the world.
- 20:08Speaker 11: And look what happened. You let little brats get in there.
- 20:11Speaker 10: Yeah, my kid had no business being in the laboratory.
- 20:15Speaker 10: What the hell's wrong with you people bringing kids to work?
- 20:17Speaker 10: I don't bring my kid to work.
- 20:19Speaker 11: You always take your daughter to work?
- 20:20Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:21Speaker 10: Yeah, we don't have that at my work.
- 20:23Speaker 13: You could catch yourself on fire.
- 20:24Speaker 7: She would.
- 20:25Speaker 11: Like a bunny.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, reports from headquarters confirm that the horde
- 20:30Speaker 3: of killer rabbits is getting closer to town. High voltage
- 20:33Speaker 3: has been turned on into a section of the railroad tracks,
- 20:36Speaker 3: and it is your car lights we hope will funnel
- 20:38Speaker 3: the rabbits onto them. There will be machine gun and
- 20:40Speaker 3: rifle fire to both kill and divert these monsters. Do
- 20:43Speaker 3: not panic.
- 20:45Speaker 13: Is there anything less scary than bunnies?
- 20:48Speaker 8: I know.
- 20:48Speaker 11: That's kind of why it's like you almost have to
- 20:50Speaker 11: give them credit. How the fuck did this get made? Like,
- 20:53Speaker 11: who greenlit this movie at MGM? Because killer bunnies.
- 20:57Speaker 7: I was going to say puppies, but no.
- 21:00Speaker 17: No.
- 21:01Speaker 7: Puppies can make puppies kind of scary.
- 21:03Speaker 11: Yeah, puppies can tear into you.
- 21:05Speaker 7: Bunnies?
- 21:06Speaker 11: Come on.
- 21:07Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 7: I can't think of any other animal on this planet
- 21:10Speaker 7: that might be less scary than bunnies. I don't know,
- 21:13Speaker 7: maybe killer dolphins? I don't know.
- 21:17Speaker 11: Dolphins are kind of bastards, though. And they're smart.
- 21:22Speaker 13: They kill stuff just to play with it.
- 21:23Speaker 8: I mean, really.
- 21:25Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 7: I think there is a movie about a guy that
- 21:27Speaker 7: uses dolphins to plant bombs.
- 21:29Speaker 11: Yes, it's a sci-fi.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I can't remember what the name of it is.
- 21:31Speaker 11: He put it on, like, bridges. I just saw it.
- 21:34Speaker 16: I saw a thing on, I don't know if it
- 21:35Speaker 16: was Discovery Channel or what it was, about dolphins that
- 21:37Speaker 16: attack killer whales and stuff, and they.
- 21:39Speaker 10: Couldn't believe that dolphins would actually get aggressive, but they do.
- 21:42Speaker 7: Yeah, they can. They can.
- 21:44Speaker 11: They're smarter.
- 21:45Speaker 13: They kill penguins just to play with their dead bodies.
- 21:48Speaker 11: Well, who hasn't done that?
- 21:49Speaker 13: Penguins!
- 21:50Speaker 10: Penguins are cute.
- 21:51Speaker 11: Yeah, it'd be hard to do scary penguins because they're
- 21:55Speaker 11: so funny.
- 21:55Speaker 6: Meerkats.
- 21:56Speaker 13: Well, they stand up. I don't trust any animals.
- 21:59Speaker 7: Yeah, meerkats.
- 22:00Speaker 11: They got some shifty going on up there. I don't
- 22:03Speaker 11: trust them.
- 22:04Speaker 10: See, now monkeys are good because monkeys are cute, yet
- 22:06Speaker 10: they can be scary. They're not fucking cute.
- 22:08Speaker 7: That's creepy.
- 22:09Speaker 11: Either way, they're vicious.
- 22:11Speaker 13: Those are so cute.
- 22:12Speaker 7: Vicious monkeys. Vicious.
- 22:13Speaker 11: You don't mess with monkeys. Monkeys can kick your ass.
- 22:16Speaker 11: Monkeys will beat your ass. And they'll throw a poop
- 22:18Speaker 11: at you. Or rip your arm off. They can do both.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Maybe guinea pigs or something. Or hamsters.
- 22:23Speaker 11: That was G-Force. That was a horror movie in my mind.
- 22:26Speaker 13: No, I used to have a vicious hamster. Don't trust hamsters.
- 22:29Speaker 10: Those things are little bastards, too, little hamsters. They are.
- 22:33Speaker 7: No, that's true. Literally, bunnies are the least scariest animal
- 22:37Speaker 7: on the planet. I think we've just resolved that.
- 22:39Speaker 11: Pretty much.
- 22:40Speaker 7: This movie just cements that. Yes, it does.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Oh, Lord.
- 22:45Speaker 11: I don't know. The only other thing I could come
- 22:48Speaker 11: up with on this is just that it's funny how
- 22:50Speaker 11: the first shot we get in this is our main
- 22:52Speaker 11: character shooting a horse.
- 22:54Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 11: You didn't even check to see if its fucking leg
- 22:57Speaker 11: was broken.
- 22:57Speaker 13: Oh, it fell over.
- 22:58Speaker 7: It fell over.
- 22:59Speaker 8: Boom.
- 23:00Speaker 7: He did briefly check.
- 23:02Speaker 11: He sort of touched it.
- 23:03Speaker 10: I was just thinking, you know, in Black Sheep, they
- 23:05Speaker 10: made the sheep look scary.
- 23:06Speaker 11: Really, I was kind of scared. Even sheep.
- 23:08Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 11: And that's another, you know, that's another Easter theme.
- 23:11Speaker 10: Sheep are freaky looking.
- 23:12Speaker 7: They are.
- 23:13Speaker 10: They're freaky looking, especially when they're covered in blood.
- 23:15Speaker 7: Even goats. Yeah, but bunnies?
- 23:18Speaker 10: No.
- 23:19Speaker 11: You can't do it with bunnies.
- 23:20Speaker 7: No, they're too fluffy.
- 23:22Speaker 11: But yeah, right off the bat, we cool horse. And
- 23:24Speaker 11: then by the end of it, they're throwing out that
- 23:26Speaker 11: line of survival of the fittest.
- 23:27Speaker 7: Oh, well.
- 23:28Speaker 11: So like, and by the end, I was like, we are,
- 23:30Speaker 11: we're like battling these giant bunnies by the end. So
- 23:33Speaker 11: it's like, is that what it's come down to? It's
- 23:34Speaker 11: like manifest destiny bunny style. Whoever can survive and, you know,
- 23:39Speaker 11: completely take over the rest of the civilization. Hey, you win,
- 23:41Speaker 11: you know, good luck. So if bunnies would have won,
- 23:43Speaker 11: they would have taken over and they would have been
- 23:45Speaker 11: walking around in like business suits and looking at their
- 23:48Speaker 11: wristwatch all day. Sooner or later. Well, They weren't going
- 23:52Speaker 11: to open the door. Yeah, that's true.
- 23:54Speaker 7: This is like the anti-PETA kind of movie. It's like,
- 23:57Speaker 7: you know, they want to get you accustomed to shooting
- 24:00Speaker 7: and killing and electric and burning the cutest animal possible,
- 24:03Speaker 7: you know. That way, once they can get you past.
- 24:06Speaker 11: That, you'll kill anything after that.
- 24:09Speaker 13: The question I had at the end of the movie,
- 24:11Speaker 13: I don't know if it's a spoiler, but what the
- 24:13Speaker 13: hell do you do with that many dead bunnies?
- 24:16Speaker 11: Free coats for everyone. We listed some stuff off. Free
- 24:19Speaker 11: coats for the whole town.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Barbecue. I've had rabbit before.
- 24:22Speaker 10: Giant, lucky rabbit.
- 24:24Speaker 7: My dad was a hunter, so when I was a kid,
- 24:26Speaker 7: we used to have rabbit. I haven't had rabbit literally
- 24:28Speaker 7: in 30-some years, probably.
- 24:31Speaker 10: Does it taste like chicken?
- 24:33Speaker 7: No, actually, it doesn't taste like chicken. I still remember
- 24:35Speaker 7: what it tastes like, but I can't really describe it.
- 24:38Speaker 12: Is it gamey?
- 24:39Speaker 7: Real gamey? If you mean gamey like I had deer
- 24:42Speaker 7: one time, that was really gamey. It's not gamey like that,
- 24:45Speaker 7: or not the way I remember it, but it tastes
- 24:48Speaker 7: different than chicken, though. It's pretty good.
- 24:51Speaker 10: I've never eaten rabbit.
- 24:52Speaker 7: I've had deer.
- 24:53Speaker 10: I've had deer fixed properly. We've got a lot of
- 24:54Speaker 10: guys that.
- 24:55Speaker 12: Are working hard.
- 24:56Speaker 7: I've only had deer like one time, and the ones
- 24:58Speaker 7: that I had was really gamey.
- 25:00Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 10: Well, we've got guys that bring like deer jerky, and
- 25:02Speaker 10: they make deer sausage and stuff like that, and that
- 25:05Speaker 10: stuff's really good.
- 25:06Speaker 13: Buffalo chili's awesome.
- 25:07Speaker 10: Buffalo chili's really good.
- 25:09Speaker 13: It's not about anything other than the movie.
- 25:10Speaker 15: Yeah, obviously.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 11: I can tell you about my lion burger if we
- 25:14Speaker 11: really want to go there.
- 25:15Speaker 10: Lion burger?
- 25:16Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 13: He ain't lying.
- 25:17Speaker 11: Oh, Jesus.
- 25:19Speaker 17: What?
- 25:19Speaker 7: That's illegal, isn't it?
- 25:20Speaker 12: I mean.
- 25:21Speaker 11: I didn't kill it. I just ate the thing.
- 25:23Speaker 13: We're certain parts of Indiana.
- 25:25Speaker 10: Yeah, once again.
- 25:26Speaker 11: And you bitch about Indiana. In Indiana, lots of things
- 25:28Speaker 11: are legal.
- 25:29Speaker 10: That's why I moved there.
- 25:31Speaker 11: Yikes.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I see you.
- 25:34Speaker 7: I mean, we're not eating endangered species now, are we?
- 25:37Speaker 11: This was a while ago. I don't know if they
- 25:39Speaker 11: still have it over there, but yeah.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Is this like a lion burger?
- 25:42Speaker 11: They had all types of game, and the only one
- 25:45Speaker 11: that was on there that was not like a game
- 25:47Speaker 11: animal was lion. I was like, I want that one.
- 25:50Speaker 11: I was like, elk? Fuck elk. Why don't you give
- 25:52Speaker 11: me deer? No, I want lion, damn it. I want
- 25:54Speaker 11: a predator, for fuck's sakes.
- 25:56Speaker 16: The shock on Sean's face when he was.
- 26:00Speaker 11: Like, what, bestiality is illegal?
- 26:02Speaker 4: What?
- 26:04Speaker 11: That doesn't sound good at all.
- 26:06Speaker 10: He was shocked.
- 26:07Speaker 13: Poor biker.
- 26:08Speaker 7: Like he was worried about something.
- 26:12Speaker 10: He was awful close to his dog. He was really
- 26:14Speaker 10: close to his dog.
- 26:14Speaker 12: Just a little too close.
- 26:16Speaker 10: Well, alright.
- 26:20Speaker 12: It's illegal.
- 26:21Speaker 7: Man, delete some of those tapes.
- 26:23Speaker 11: It's not illegal if you're married, right? That makes it alright.
- 26:28Speaker 10: He just seemed so shocked like this was a new concept.
- 26:32Speaker 13: You thought his dog was his girlfriend for a while
- 26:33Speaker 13: before he told you?
- 26:34Speaker 11: Yeah, early.
- 26:35Speaker 16: I didn't know he was always talking about his girlfriend.
- 26:37Speaker 16: I was like, yeah, I think his girlfriend's.
- 26:39Speaker 7: Name is Pikers.
- 26:41Speaker 10: He's like, no, dude, man, that's my dog. And I
- 26:43Speaker 10: was like, oh.
- 26:47Speaker 11: Oh, dude.
- 26:48Speaker 13: Got to get home to Pikers.
- 26:49Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 13: Wow, that's a far left turn, wasn't it?
- 26:53Speaker 7: Oh, man.
- 26:54Speaker 10: She gets really scared when it's stormy outside.
- 26:56Speaker 11: I got to get home. Your girlfriend's a wuss.
- 26:59Speaker 7: I know.
- 27:01Speaker 13: All right.
- 27:02Speaker 11: So, bunnies, we definitely want everyone to check out this movie.
- 27:06Speaker 13: No, we don't. Unless I don't like you, then you.
- 27:09Speaker 11: Can watch it. There you go. Do you want to
- 27:11Speaker 11: name people by name?
- 27:13Speaker 13: No, there's just too many to name.
- 27:14Speaker 17: Jeez.
- 27:16Speaker 11: Oh, Lord. It's quite an undertaking, I have to say.
- 27:20Speaker 10: If you're into self-mutilation, check out this movie.
- 27:23Speaker 11: I think the ridiculous of it is pretty fun for
- 27:26Speaker 11: a while. It just goes on way too long. They
- 27:28Speaker 11: needed to edit.
- 27:30Speaker 7: Out a lot of that. They had to edit it
- 27:32Speaker 7: out two and a half hours of this movie.
- 27:33Speaker 11: Yeah, it needed to be cut down to about a
- 27:36Speaker 11: half an hour.
- 27:36Speaker 7: The idea of watching this giant killer bunny movie is
- 27:39Speaker 7: much better than actually watching it. Yeah, kind of. I was.
- 27:43Speaker 10: Now that I think about it, I go back and
- 27:44Speaker 10: almost hope you wouldn't have found the movie sitting on top.
- 27:47Speaker 13: Of the DVD player. The Lord doesn't want a waste
- 27:49Speaker 13: of our time right there.
- 27:51Speaker 7: It's right here.
- 27:52Speaker 13: We misplaced it and Brian had to spend like half
- 27:54Speaker 13: an hour looking for it.
- 27:56Speaker 7: You know, it's often true with really, really crazy B-movies where,
- 28:00Speaker 7: you know, the title and the trailer is so great.
- 28:02Speaker 7: Like something like From Hell It Came with the... the
- 28:05Speaker 7: walking tree monster yeah that trailer and title and the
- 28:09Speaker 7: monster are so much greater than having to sit through
- 28:12Speaker 7: an hour and a half of the talky dialogue to
- 28:15Speaker 7: get to that stuff you know and that's just always
- 28:17Speaker 7: the case.
- 28:18Speaker 11: I think that's usually what it's like if you go
- 28:20Speaker 11: in with such a ridiculous idea and you're trying to
- 28:23Speaker 11: make it work then that's all you're doing you're trying
- 28:26Speaker 11: to grasp at straws and be like no really this
- 28:28Speaker 11: is gonna be a great movie but i mean it's
- 28:30Speaker 11: The difference is, like, movies that are, like, serious about
- 28:33Speaker 11: it and don't try that hard to make it work,
- 28:36Speaker 11: that you actually have something to work with. And Killer
- 28:38Speaker 11: Bunny's just not giving you anything to work.
- 28:41Speaker 8: With on this one.
- 28:41Speaker 10: Yeah, I think when they pitched this movie, they didn't
- 28:42Speaker 10: tell them it was bunnies.
- 28:44Speaker 11: Once again, much like the advertising campaign. You're like, let's
- 28:47Speaker 11: just keep the producer snowed on this one.
- 28:49Speaker 7: Yeah, it's the Lepus. It's the Lepus.
- 28:50Speaker 11: These Lepus monsters come.
- 28:52Speaker 7: They're like, wow, Lepus, what is that?
- 28:54Speaker 11: I think those are from Mexico. Yeah, they come up here.
- 28:56Speaker 11: The Chupalipus. Yeah, they come up here and they're going
- 28:59Speaker 11: to attack people.
- 29:00Speaker 7: Lepus, what is that? What is that?
- 29:03Speaker 17: Slavic?
- 29:03Speaker 7: What's that, Slavic?
- 29:05Speaker 11: That was last week.
- 29:06Speaker 17: No.
- 29:07Speaker 7: I don't understand what they're talking about. These guys must
- 29:10Speaker 7: be really smart. Greenlight the movie.
- 29:11Speaker 11: Yeah, just give them a lot of money.
- 29:13Speaker 6: Okay, not a lot of money.
- 29:14Speaker 11: We don't have a lot of money. Give them about
- 29:16Speaker 11: 14 bucks.
- 29:16Speaker 8: Oh, Lord.
- 29:18Speaker 11: It would have been better.
- 29:18Speaker 10: If they'd used lemurs.
- 29:20Speaker 13: I like lemurs.
- 29:21Speaker 10: Night of the lemurs, yeah.
- 29:24Speaker 13: Lemurs are awesome.
- 29:26Speaker 10: They jump on you from the trees. They're like.
- 29:29Speaker 13: They got big tails.
- 29:30Speaker 10: They choke you with their tails.
- 29:32Speaker 13: See?
- 29:34Speaker 7: I got a lot of zaboomafoo when she was little. Yeah,
- 29:36Speaker 7: me too.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Alright.
- 29:40Speaker 11: Alright, I think that wraps up Night of the Lepus. Definitely,
- 29:44Speaker 11: go out and see it. Suckers. Have your own little
- 29:48Speaker 11: Easter celebration with it.
- 29:49Speaker 10: Get drunk, though.
- 29:50Speaker 11: I'm sure... With enough people in the room, it makes
- 29:53Speaker 11: it more entertaining. Not these people, because they were angry.
- 29:57Speaker 7: I don't have any beer, that's why. I guess.
- 30:00Speaker 11: Probably doesn't help sober, but I try not to intoxicate
- 30:02Speaker 11: you people.
- 30:04Speaker 7: If you're 12 years old and it's 1 in the
- 30:06Speaker 7: morning and you're flipping channels.
- 30:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 7: You land on this crazy movie where the bunnies are
- 30:12Speaker 7: jumping around eating people.
- 30:13Speaker 11: I probably would have thought it was awesome.
- 30:15Speaker 10: Or if you're 38 and in your mom's basement with
- 30:17Speaker 10: absolutely no life and nothing to do on a Saturday night.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Hey, wait.
- 30:21Speaker 11: I just moved.
- 30:22Speaker 17: Shut up.
- 30:23Speaker 10: Pull up with a big old tall can of King Cobra.
- 30:26Speaker 11: I don't want any King Cobra.
- 30:29Speaker 7: All right, Colt 45 or Red Dog.
- 30:31Speaker 11: Can I have a milkshake?
- 30:32Speaker 7: A cost-cutter beer.
- 30:33Speaker 11: Mom says I ain't supposed to drink in the basement.
- 30:36Speaker 7: Mama don't know.
- 30:39Speaker 11: All right, we will take a break and be back
- 30:41Speaker 11: with the rest of the show.
- 30:42Speaker 10: A night of total terror.
- 30:45Speaker 17: More shattering than your strangest nightmare. What caused the unnatural death, destruction,
- 30:53Speaker 17: and panic?
- 30:54Speaker 15: I've got a theory.
- 30:56Speaker 11: It could be bunnies.
- 30:59Speaker 13: I've got a.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Bunnies aren't as cute like everybody supposes. They got them
- 31:07Speaker 4: happy legs and twitchy little noses.
- 31:10Speaker 11: And what's with all the carrots?
- 31:14Speaker 13: What do they need.
- 31:15Speaker 10: Such good eyes for anyway?
- 31:23Speaker 14: And now, before the next show starts, let's enjoy an intermission.
- 31:32Speaker 2: The smooth show of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate.
- 31:35Speaker 3: And the irresistible, creamy, flowing yolk that will ultimately give
- 31:39Speaker 3: them away.
- 31:39Speaker 7: Don't get caught with it on your face.
- 31:42Speaker 10: Cadbury Soup and Cadbury Gravy.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Don't get caught.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Now, the creators of Chicken Run are back with the
- 31:49Speaker 2: pair that started it all, Wallace and Gromit.
- 31:54Speaker 12: Gromit, old pal, I'll need assistance.
- 32:00Speaker 2: One's an inventor.
- 32:01Speaker 10: Just a bit of harmless brain alteration, that's all.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Who never says die. Full suction. The other is his dog,
- 32:14Speaker 2: who never says anything. They've made gadgets. They've made contraptions.
- 32:28Speaker 2: And they've made a movie. From DreamWorks and Aardman Studios.
- 32:34Speaker 11: Get ready for action.
- 32:38Speaker 7: Suspense.
- 32:41Speaker 17: Mystery.
- 32:44Speaker 6: And vegetables.
- 32:46Speaker 13: I have the most terrible rabbit problem.
- 32:48Speaker 19: How on earth would they ever catch such a big rabbit?
- 32:53Speaker 11: Wallace and Gromit.
- 32:55Speaker 10: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

- 34:25Speaker 11: And feedback. And we're skipping it this week.
- 34:27Speaker 7: We're skipping feedback.
- 34:28Speaker 11: Well, I didn't see anything email wise and phone is
- 34:32Speaker 11: between going back and forth to the new setup. It's
- 34:35Speaker 11: sort of in the middle right now. So yeah, I'm
- 34:37Speaker 11: just going to save it for the next time out.
- 34:39Speaker 11: So we'll be back with your feedback. So keep it coming.
- 34:41Speaker 11: We're relocating the studio, but the phone number will still

- 35:18Speaker 4: For Movie Meltdown.
- 35:27Speaker 11: That's what I was talking about. That was part of
- 35:29Speaker 11: both of you doing your crazy things. Hers was being
- 35:32Speaker 11: on the phone.
- 35:32Speaker 17: All the time.
- 35:32Speaker 13: What did I do that was crazy?
- 35:33Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 35:35Speaker 11: Threatened Randy?
- 35:36Speaker 13: I didn't threaten Randy that much. I was nice to Randy.
- 35:39Speaker 13: He brought me cake.
- 35:40Speaker 12: Let's do this. That's true.
- 35:41Speaker 11: He did bring me cake.
- 35:42Speaker 12: Let's do this.
- 35:43Speaker 7: All right.
- 35:45Speaker 11: So we will move on into our confusing what the
- 35:48Speaker 11: hell we're doing from here on out.
- 35:50Speaker 17: Oh.
- 35:50Speaker 11: Okay, kids, get out your decoder bins.
- 35:51Speaker 7: And.
- 35:53Speaker 11: You're going to need them because we don't know what
- 35:55Speaker 11: the hell we're doing.
- 35:56Speaker 12: Take notes.
- 35:58Speaker 8: Are we underwater?
- 35:59Speaker 12: What was that?
- 36:00Speaker 11: Underwater bunnies are here.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Oh, shit.
- 36:01Speaker 12: Oh, my God.
- 36:02Speaker 10: That's when you knew they were going to attack.
- 36:04Speaker 12: On dog, I see.
- 36:05Speaker 13: They weren't even attacking.
- 36:07Speaker 7: They were running. There was no attacking.
- 36:08Speaker 10: That's right. You knew that's when they would slather you
- 36:11Speaker 10: with finger paint.
- 36:14Speaker 11: All right, it is time for Movie Meltdown's Secret Circle reveal.
- 36:17Speaker 11: The next, I don't know how many months.
- 36:19Speaker 7: Three weeks?
- 36:20Speaker 11: For you members of the Secret Circle. This is entering
- 36:23Speaker 11: into a confusing territory here.
- 36:25Speaker 7: The quandary is that we usually record this show on Sunday,
- 36:28Speaker 7: and next Sunday is Easter. So it's going to be
- 36:31Speaker 7: hard for us to kind of probably really do a show.
- 36:35Speaker 8: But.
- 36:35Speaker 11: At least on Sunday. There should still be one coming
- 36:38Speaker 11: at you. I'm attempting to piece together one. I was
- 36:41Speaker 11: actually discussing it yesterday. So in hopes that Rick and
- 36:45Speaker 11: I can get together the next crazy Bigfoot outing, just
- 36:49Speaker 11: go get yourself a copy of Sasquatch.
- 36:50Speaker 17: Yes.
- 36:51Speaker 12: It's epic.
- 36:52Speaker 11: I have a copy of Sasquatch.
- 36:54Speaker 12: It is epic.
- 36:55Speaker 11: Although there are several. I was going to say the
- 36:57Speaker 11: one with Lance Hendrickson, but he's in every movie of Sasquatch.
- 36:59Speaker 7: I was actually with the 70s documentary, pseudo-documentary Sasquatch.
- 37:03Speaker 11: No, we already did Boggy Creek. That's close enough.
- 37:06Speaker 7: I like the Lance Henderson one.
- 37:07Speaker 11: I do, too. So, yeah, this one is the 2002
- 37:11Speaker 11: Lance Henderson, Andrea Roth, directed by Jonas Quastel. So you
- 37:17Speaker 11: at least know you're watching the right one if you're
- 37:18Speaker 11: going to get geared up for it.
- 37:19Speaker 7: That's interesting.
- 37:20Speaker 11: Which, again, there's already so many weird titles out there.
- 37:23Speaker 11: This one was known as The Untold. Like, if you
- 37:25Speaker 11: look it up on IMDb, it's not Sasquatch. It's The Untold.
- 37:28Speaker 11: I'm like, well.
- 37:29Speaker 8: Why the hell?
- 37:30Speaker 11: Where did they get these weird... Why are they telling it? Yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 11: I was like, why are you making a movie about
- 37:33Speaker 11: it if you can't tell anything? Oh, so yeah, that
- 37:36Speaker 11: will be possibly next week.
- 37:37Speaker 7: She's going to love that one. It's 90 minutes of
- 37:39Speaker 7: people wandering around the woods with guns.
- 37:41Speaker 13: I won't be there for that.
- 37:42Speaker 7: Well, you're lucky, right?
- 37:45Speaker 11: None for you.
- 37:45Speaker 13: We're not doing it, because if it's a Sasquatch one,
- 37:47Speaker 13: then it's just him and Rick.
- 37:48Speaker 11: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 37:49Speaker 10: It's not going to be us.
- 37:50Speaker 11: You wanted the week off. You're worn out from bunnies,
- 37:52Speaker 11: damn it.
- 37:53Speaker 10: We've got a club meeting.
- 37:56Speaker 11: Oh, so in that time, we're probably... Originally, we were
- 37:59Speaker 11: thinking we would check out Clash of the Titans, but
- 38:01Speaker 11: it probably isn't going to happen for a full episode.
- 38:03Speaker 11: So I'm sure some of us will go see it
- 38:06Speaker 11: in the meantime and probably talk about it the week
- 38:08Speaker 11: after that.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Yeah, probably have to see it anyways.
- 38:10Speaker 11: Probably, just because it's Clash of the Titans, for God's sake.
- 38:13Speaker 11: So I'm sure we will be discussing that on the
- 38:16Speaker 11: Geek Activities the following week. For the week after that,
- 38:21Speaker 11: I think we... Unless something falls through, we had it
- 38:23Speaker 11: open to watch whatever the hell we wanted. So I
- 38:26Speaker 11: think we may go with the Wraith. if you're on
- 38:28Speaker 11: board for it.
- 38:29Speaker 7: Yeah, I just have my new remastered widescreen version of
- 38:33Speaker 7: the Wraith, so I'm pretty excited about it. I don't
- 38:35Speaker 7: know if I can wait that long to watch it, actually.
- 38:37Speaker 11: That's up to you. Either way, we'll be back watching
- 38:40Speaker 11: it the week after next.
- 38:41Speaker 7: Either that or we're going to end up in one
- 38:42Speaker 7: of those shows where we're like, oh, that was so
- 38:44Speaker 7: cool at the time, it's just terrible now. This one
- 38:46Speaker 7: has kind of cult appeal to it.
- 38:48Speaker 11: Yeah, it's always kind of stuck around. Everybody wants to
- 38:52Speaker 11: be like, Remember the Wraith? Exactly. Every 10 years or so,
- 38:55Speaker 11: somebody does that.
- 38:56Speaker 10: I never could remember the name of the movie.
- 38:58Speaker 11: I think a lot of people did that.
- 38:59Speaker 10: Remember that movie that had Charlie Sheen in it?
- 39:01Speaker 8: I watched it.
- 39:01Speaker 7: It was a fantastic interview with Quinn Howard, who's just awesome.
- 39:06Speaker 7: And he says there are actually, like, Wraith fan clubs.
- 39:09Speaker 11: I believe that.
- 39:10Speaker 7: And websites. I had never actually looked into anything like that.
- 39:13Speaker 11: Yeah, it's one of those I can see it getting
- 39:15Speaker 11: its own little weird underground following, so... If you're one
- 39:18Speaker 11: of those people, hey, get all geared up. If not,
- 39:21Speaker 11: go get yourself a copy and join us for two
- 39:23Speaker 11: weeks out on that one. Alright, anything else for this
- 39:27Speaker 11: fun Easter-tastic extravaganza?
- 39:30Speaker 13: I ate too much chocolate again.
- 39:32Speaker 11: That's what always happens. Have a peep, you'll be fine.
- 39:36Speaker 7: Oh, fucking Christ. I'm gonna go home and watch Peter Cottontail.
- 39:40Speaker 11: There you go.
- 39:40Speaker 13: I'm gonna go home and watch a good movie.
- 39:42Speaker 12: I'm gonna go home and swallow a pistol.
- 39:43Speaker 11: How can you get any better than Killer Bunnies?
- 39:48Speaker 7: Here comes the Easter Bunny, too. I think Peter Cotton
- 39:50Speaker 7: Tales is the one where they travel around all the
- 39:52Speaker 7: holiday worlds, kind of like Nightmare Before Christmas.
- 39:55Speaker 13: Yeah, they do.
- 39:55Speaker 7: They go to Halloween and they go to President's Day
- 39:59Speaker 7: or something like that. That's not a real holiday. Well,
- 40:03Speaker 7: you know.
- 40:03Speaker 10: I'm thinking of the Tale of Peter Rabbit.
- 40:05Speaker 11: There's too many of those. They all run together.
- 40:07Speaker 10: I was thinking of the Arthur Beatrix story. He used
- 40:10Speaker 10: to be one of my favorites.
- 40:11Speaker 7: There's Iron Tail, because Iron Tail is.
- 40:13Speaker 11: Oh, I remember Iron Tail.
- 40:15Speaker 7: And it's pretty awesome. So if you want to watch
- 40:18Speaker 7: a real holiday special, I recommend that one.
- 40:20Speaker 11: I say yeah. It's a holiday special, and it requires
- 40:23Speaker 11: a short bus and a helmet.
- 40:27Speaker 10: Or that other bunny movie that we already watched, if
- 40:29Speaker 10: you haven't watched it yet.
- 40:30Speaker 12: Watership Down.
- 40:31Speaker 7: Watership Down. That is the most disturbing film. I can't
- 40:34Speaker 7: watch it.
- 40:35Speaker 2: No.
- 40:36Speaker 7: I saw that as a kid because I really wanted
- 40:38Speaker 7: to see it because it looked good.
- 40:40Speaker 10: And it's depressing as fuck.
- 40:42Speaker 11: It's a harsh movie.
- 40:43Speaker 10: That's a harsh bunny film.
- 40:45Speaker 7: Go see that. I still have the... It's like an
- 40:48Speaker 7: illustrated novel of it. It was a hardback book that
- 40:50Speaker 7: had just pages and pages of the animation. Pixels and stuff.
- 40:54Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 40:54Speaker 7: And... Man, that movie disturbed me.
- 40:57Speaker 11: So go watch that one. It's one of.
- 40:59Speaker 10: Those required reading in high school that I somehow managed
- 41:02Speaker 10: not to read.
- 41:04Speaker 7: I never read that one either.
- 41:05Speaker 16: Well, I was a complete slacker in high school. I
- 41:09Speaker 16: dodged all types of assignments and I just didn't go
- 41:13Speaker 16: to school.
- 41:13Speaker 10: And stuff like that.
- 41:14Speaker 13: I don't know why your kid's so bad.
- 41:16Speaker 10: I know why my kid's mad.
- 41:17Speaker 7: If you don't want to watch any of these movies,
- 41:19Speaker 7: Critters 2 is a good choice. They actually have a
- 41:22Speaker 7: great Easter scene in that movie where they're having an
- 41:24Speaker 7: Easter egg hunt with the Easter bunny and all the
- 41:27Speaker 7: eggs they painted are the Critter eggs and monsters start
- 41:30Speaker 7: coming out and eating the Easter bunny and the kids
- 41:32Speaker 7: and stuff.
- 41:33Speaker 13: You can always watch the Twilight Zone movie because they
- 41:35Speaker 13: have that really freaky bunny in that one clip in
- 41:37Speaker 13: the remake of.
- 41:38Speaker 7: It's a Very Good Life.
- 41:39Speaker 11: That's right.
- 41:39Speaker 13: With that big freaky bunny.
- 41:41Speaker 11: You don't remember? I kind of remember.
- 41:43Speaker 7: There's Harvey. It's a good Easter movie.
- 41:47Speaker 11: Otherwise, I guess, yeah, go watch yourself some Easter stuff.
- 41:50Speaker 7: And then, you know.
- 41:51Speaker 12: Have some candy.
- 41:52Speaker 11: Have some candy.
- 41:52Speaker 7: Passion of the Christ if you're not really into the
- 41:55Speaker 7: bunny thing.
- 41:56Speaker 11: We try not to get too religious on this show. Bunnies,
- 41:59Speaker 11: that's as religious as we can.
- 42:01Speaker 13: Bunnies and chocolate eggs.
- 42:02Speaker 11: There you go.
- 42:02Speaker 13: All you need.
- 42:04Speaker 7: Easter is for me.
- 42:06Speaker 11: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return sometime. Some
- 42:10Speaker 11: of us will return next week. Same geek time, same
- 42:12Speaker 11: geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 42:15Speaker 12: Thanks, guys.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Peace. Whatever.
- 42:19Speaker 13: Remember what my niece Lily said about Easter? She's like,
- 42:24Speaker 13: it's not all about the candy and the eggs. It's
- 42:26Speaker 13: all about Jesus.
- 42:28Speaker 11: That doesn't surprise me.
- 42:30Speaker 13: She was five at the time.
- 42:31Speaker 11: That doesn't surprise me.
- 42:32Speaker 13: She went skinny dipping in the baptismal one.
- 42:36Speaker 11: Now that part's a little more, you know.
- 42:38Speaker 13: You want a God to clean her.
- 42:40Speaker 17: Oh, God.
- 42:41Speaker 10: She's always going to be dirty.
- 42:43Speaker 7: Mr.
