- 4:12In top news, immunotherapy is revolutionizing cancer treatment.
- 4:19A breakthrough occurred in April 2023 when Marcela Moss and Brian Choi, researchers at
- 4:25Mass General in Boston, treated a patient with glioblastoma using genetically modified
- 4:32white blood cells.
- 4:34The patient's tumor, previously the size of a strawberry, almost completely disappeared
- 4:40overnight.
- 4:41This remarkable regression was repeated in subsequent patients.
- 4:45Glioblastoma, a fatal brain cancer, had shown stubborn resistance to traditional treatments.
- 4:52However, this immunotherapy approach, using engineered T-cells, demonstrated potential
- 4:58for tackling even the most aggressive cancers.
- 5:02This method could transform cancer treatment forever.
- 5:08In business news, Wall Street is eyeing America's booming battery storage sector.
- 5:15Entrepreneur, Sheldon Kimber, is installing giant batteries in Texas and California, which
- 5:21charge during the day using solar power and sell energy at higher prices in the evening.
- 5:27Kimber, chief executive of Intersect Power, believes the increasing power demand and extreme
- 5:33weather events will make this a profitable venture.
- 5:38Intersect Power is raising $837 million for battery projects, which will power nearly
- 5:44400,000 homes.
- 5:47The sector is growing rapidly, driven by solar energy and billions of dollars from investors.
- 5:54In crypto movement, Bitcoin is just under $67,700.

- 6:58Let's talk science.
- 6:59A new genetic test, inspired by a mountain rescue dog named Shola, aims to eradicate
- 7:05progressive retinal atrophy, or PRA, in English, shepherds.
- 7:11Shola, who went blind due to PRA, led researchers to identify the genetic variant responsible
- 7:18for the condition.
- 7:20Catherine Stanbury from the University of Cambridge explained that PRA, which causes
- 7:26blindness in over 100 dog breeds, has no treatment and is often breed-specific.
- 7:33The team developed a $48 DNA test to detect the variant, potentially preventing affected
- 7:39dogs from breeding.
- 7:42This breakthrough could eliminate PRA in English shepherds, preserving their valuable traits.
- 7:48And in entertainment news, Twisters is making waves at the box office with a global gross
- 7:57of $123 million.
- 8:01While it earned $27.1 million from 76 foreign territories over the weekend, its domestic

- 8:20Ramos.
- 8:21Meanwhile, Despicable Me 4 has surpassed $500 million globally, and Inside Out 2 is nearing

- 8:43And today, our quote comes from the Italian polymath and inventor, Leonardo da Vinci.
