- 0:55Speaker 3: great dressing food line and a food and a bit.
- 1:00Speaker 4: And you're making an even bigger food line now right.
- 1:02Speaker 3: You're starting to add other other products to your food line.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I added most recently a flower crack to the dressings.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Wait, a flower crack.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yes, it is a seasoned flower that you know you
- 1:15Speaker 1: could use with chicken, with your with vegetables. You know
- 1:20Speaker 1: you could put in the air fryer. You can fry it,
- 1:22Speaker 1: but it's amazing. It's a I call it. I call
- 1:25Speaker 1: it JJ's flower crack. It's so addict.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Your your dressings are delicious. I got my first taste
- 1:34Speaker 3: of it actually at Brenda's house when we were at
- 1:36Speaker 3: That was the first time I met you. And I
- 1:38Speaker 3: think we have a mutual friend Brenda case.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Star, Yes.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Yes, And we have a couple of other mutual friends.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Some of the girls on the Housewife. Ye're very close
- 1:45Speaker 3: with Dolores, you know Dolores, Yes, and her her dressings
- 1:50Speaker 3: are phenomenal.
- 1:51Speaker 4: How did you.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Start this whole this whole thing, How did this all happen?
- 1:56Speaker 1: Let me take you back like twelve years now. So
- 2:00Speaker 1: I basically really started with five hundred dollars in a dream.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You know. I wanted to be a household name. I
- 2:05Speaker 1: wanted to make something that everybody would love, the adults,
- 2:08Speaker 1: the children. And when I tell you five hundred dollars
- 2:13Speaker 1: in a dream, that's how it started, you know. I
- 2:16Speaker 1: I made. I used to own a cafe and I
- 2:19Speaker 1: used to make you know, these things in the cafe.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And this was in Jersey and Garfield, New Jersey.
- 2:24Speaker 3: This is that's where you grew up in Jersey or
- 2:26Speaker 3: were you from originally Brooklyn.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Listen, I'm Jersey all day every day. I say it
- 2:31Speaker 1: all the time. I'm Jersey all day every day. But
- 2:35Speaker 1: I was born and raised in New Jersey. I live
- 2:38Speaker 1: in the same town my whole life. I serve as
- 2:41Speaker 1: the vice president of the Board of Health in the
- 2:43Speaker 1: time that I live in. I'm all about the community,
- 2:47Speaker 1: the people. But I wanted to be a household name.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And people would come into the cafe. It was called
- 2:52Speaker 1: the lunch Box Cafe, and I had a little lunch boxes,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you know, around the store, and they would ask me
- 2:59Speaker 1: for like if they were having parties, could you make
- 3:01Speaker 1: that dressing or could you make that mayo that we
- 3:04Speaker 1: had with the sandwich. And then I just decided I.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Always loved to cook, like you just started like.
- 3:10Speaker 1: You know, honestly, I was in the mortgage business back
- 3:14Speaker 1: in the day, and a big job. It was a
- 3:16Speaker 1: big job, yeah, and it kind of like plummeted, you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: And for the first time in my life, I found
- 3:23Speaker 1: myself laid off, you know. And I and I started
- 3:27Speaker 1: to watch the Food Network and I feel like I've
- 3:31Speaker 1: never been to school. I'm not a chef, but I
- 3:34Speaker 1: feel like I'm a sponge. I watch something, I absorb it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And you know, I'm very good with flavors, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: like I can get into the test kitchen and put
- 3:44Speaker 1: all these flavors together and come up with something amazing
- 3:48Speaker 1: that these these dressings and marinades, I've made all six
- 3:51Speaker 1: of them. I've I've created all six of them. I
- 3:54Speaker 1: feel like I know how to put all the flavors together,
- 3:58Speaker 1: the flavory again and I love it. Yes, Yes, that's great.
- 4:02Speaker 3: And I like all your I love your hat, I
- 4:04Speaker 3: love your sweatshirt. I definitely want to get I definitely
- 4:07Speaker 3: want to get one of those. And you brought me
- 4:08Speaker 3: such great I love my gifts. Yes, yes, at bag
- 4:12Speaker 3: I love.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yes. So this is I hope I leave you hungry
- 4:16Speaker 1: with every bite. So I do food reviews on TikTok.
- 4:18Speaker 1: This is great, and that's what I say at the end,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I hope I leave you hungry with every bite.
- 4:23Speaker 4: You know, this is great. And then you gave me
- 4:26Speaker 4: a towel. I love the.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Beach towel because you know, I'm always at the beach
- 4:30Speaker 3: all the time.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Listen, I want I want everybody to represent the flavorikan
- 4:34Speaker 1: at the at the beach.
- 4:36Speaker 4: At the beach. Yes, you can rock away in the Hamptons.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I'll be there.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I love it. Listen, I was just in the Hamptons
- 4:42Speaker 1: this weekend. I loved it. We we ate our way
- 4:46Speaker 1: around the Hamptons.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I ate in Southampton.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I was in Southampton and I was in Riverhead, Okay,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and uh, what an experience, so much fun. We went
- 4:55Speaker 1: to all different places. We ate lobster, we ate ice cream,
- 4:58Speaker 1: we ate shrimp.
- 5:00Speaker 3: He has a lot of good foot out in hand,
- 5:01Speaker 3: a lot of big food, a lot of Michelan chefs
- 5:04Speaker 3: out there.
- 5:05Speaker 1: We just went to rock spiros Ill Pelicano in Southampton.
- 5:11Speaker 1: He's a five star Micheline chef. It was excellent, delicious.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I have to tell you, when I first looked at
- 5:17Speaker 1: the menu, I was a little like skeptical. It's like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm gonna like this. It's cast everything.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I mean, it was amazing and he was there and
- 5:27Speaker 1: he's absolutely dull, a nice, nice guy.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Before my brother in law is a chef. I don't
- 5:33Speaker 3: know if I've told this before, but he was a
- 5:35Speaker 3: chef for years.
- 5:35Speaker 4: He went to school, he.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Went studied in Italy and then he now what he
- 5:41Speaker 3: does is he placed his chefs all over the country
- 5:44Speaker 3: and he places and now he's doing like hostesses, which
- 5:47Speaker 3: is very important for restaurants to have a good hostess.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And absolutely, but he has. I mean he's like friends
- 5:53Speaker 3: with Rocco. He knows, uh, he's good friends with Multi Mario.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Like he's been already sat cook before. But he when
- 6:02Speaker 3: we go to a restaurant, we get like the taste
- 6:03Speaker 3: the menual when we walk in there like that.
- 6:05Speaker 4: That's which is amazing.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So you want to taste every time, you.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Want to tell Yeah, so you know that.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I just loved that whole world. I wish I was.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I'm like, I guess I'm a miniature connoisseur with food.
- 6:17Speaker 3: But it's just amazing that world.
- 6:19Speaker 4: It's it's like they're they're artists, these chefs.
- 6:22Speaker 1: It's they are and you know what you know, me
- 6:25Speaker 1: as a you know, content creator, you know also with
- 6:29Speaker 1: the business, I love to taste all these creations that
- 6:32Speaker 1: they make. I mean, I'm a foody all the way. Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I travel, I taste food, you know, food from all
- 6:38Speaker 1: over the place. From I just did most recently a
- 6:41Speaker 1: thirty day bagel challenge, and you know it's it's fun.
- 6:45Speaker 4: It was the best bagels. They better be got to
- 6:47Speaker 4: be in Brooklyn.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Actually, I'm going to tell you the winner of that
- 6:51Speaker 1: was Po Bagels and Staten Island. Really, Yes, did you
- 6:54Speaker 1: go to Brooklyn? Yes, I went to a place in Brooklyn,
- 6:58Speaker 1: so I went. We did a thirty every single day.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So it was my sandwich. It is an everything bagel
- 7:04Speaker 1: with lettuce, tomato, bacon, well done cream, cheese and oil
- 7:09Speaker 1: and vinegar. It is so good. And every day for
- 7:14Speaker 1: thirty days, I went into a different place. And at
- 7:17Speaker 1: the end of the challenge, I rated my top three. Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 4: So so stant Island was number one.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Stanton Island was number one. Yeah, what about uh too?
- 7:26Speaker 1: I believe it was Jersey Bakery, Rockland Bakery. Maybe, honestly,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Maybe it might be in a place
- 7:38Speaker 1: in Carlstat, New Jersey. But it's you know, it's all
- 7:42Speaker 1: about the water.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And I was just gonna say, I was gonna say
- 7:45Speaker 3: because the water makes the difference.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I mean, bagel is a New York babel.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Listen. I traveled, you know, all around, and you know,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're not New Jersey, New York, there's nothing that
- 7:57Speaker 1: tastes the same. You need a dirty water dog, right
- 8:01Speaker 1: you dog in New York. Right on the pizza to
- 8:06Speaker 1: the pizza.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Pizza, there's nothing like pizza.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 8:09Speaker 1: And the bagels, I mean, they're hard to find Jersey
- 8:14Speaker 1: all day every day.
- 8:15Speaker 4: It's so true.
- 8:17Speaker 1: And I don't know about you, but like I have
- 8:19Speaker 1: a controversy with is it tailor ham, egg and cheese
- 8:22Speaker 1: or is it pork roll, egg and cheese.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I would say it's pork roll.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You killed me, I say, Taylor ham on Taylor ham
- 8:30Speaker 1: all day.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I say that it must be a New Jersey,
- 8:35Speaker 3: New York thing.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I think so. I think so.
- 8:38Speaker 4: There's a couple of differences between them.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I get, I get, I get a little controversy
- 8:42Speaker 1: in the comments, you know.
- 8:45Speaker 3: But I like, you know, like you said, the water
- 8:47Speaker 3: is so is a big deal because I mean, look,
- 8:50Speaker 3: any restaurant, I mean, Florida, there was a it was
- 8:54Speaker 3: actually a restaurant of Florida that was importing from New York.
- 8:57Speaker 1: There there is a lot of people that do that. Yeah,
- 9:00Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that do that because it
- 9:02Speaker 1: just doesn't taste the same.
- 9:03Speaker 4: It doesn't the bread doesn't rise the same.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It's just it's just the text. It's not Yeah, it's
- 9:09Speaker 3: just whatever it is. It's just, it's just nothing.
- 9:12Speaker 1: It's true. It's true. No, I agree with you. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: agree with you. The water is everything.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Why do you think the best pizza is right now?
- 9:18Speaker 1: It's Listen to the City no more.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I love Monattan.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you I love ellen B.
- 9:27Speaker 4: They're not as good as they used to be.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You know what I have to tell you. I can't
- 9:32Speaker 1: tell you what they used to be because I'm I'm
- 9:34Speaker 1: kind of new to it. I I think I, you know, back.
- 9:38Speaker 4: In the day, but they're not as good as they
- 9:40Speaker 4: used to be.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I feel like I love Listen and it's a different
- 9:45Speaker 1: type of pizza. It's a it's a square, it's a
- 9:47Speaker 1: Sicilian opposed to a regular slice, you know. But I
- 9:50Speaker 1: feel like, but yeah, I love ellen B. You know,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I feel I love to sit out there in the courtyard.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It feels like old school, feels like home. You know,
- 9:59Speaker 1: you sit down and you have some pizza. But I
- 10:01Speaker 1: love it. I love the doiness of it and the
- 10:04Speaker 1: crisp of it. I mean, look, their pants must be
- 10:06Speaker 1: seasoned all ship, you.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Know.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But honestly, like I've eaten a lot of pizza, you know,
- 10:15Speaker 1: in a lot of different places. And New Jersey and
- 10:18Speaker 1: New York are are are my favorites?
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Down the shore, Jersey Shore, you know, seaside those huge slices,
- 10:27Speaker 1: you know, I love I love the pizza from Jersey.
- 10:31Speaker 1: From New York.
- 10:32Speaker 4: There was there's there's a pizzeria that you got a visit.
- 10:35Speaker 3: It's uh just to tones On in Upton Avenue in Brooklyn.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Talk about it, but they only sell it by the pie.
- 10:44Speaker 4: They don't sell it by the slice, okay.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And is it is it a straight? When you hold
- 10:47Speaker 1: it does a flop? This is a difference now flop.
- 10:51Speaker 3: But it's now when you This is also a Brooklyn thing.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Did you fold over your pizza and eat it? Or
- 10:56Speaker 3: did you eat it straight? I actually do the fold Okay.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I a beautiful That's the East Coast Brooklyn thing. And
- 11:04Speaker 3: that's how you know people are from New York if
- 11:06Speaker 3: they fold over their pizza and eat it. Yeah, that's
- 11:09Speaker 3: a that's a thing.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'm definitely a fold over. Hey god, Yeah, so you're
- 11:13Speaker 1: Italian in the hotel listen. I have so many Italian friends,
- 11:17Speaker 1: you know, I feel I feel like you know, being
- 11:19Speaker 1: Puerto Rican and Italians so much alike. You know, you
- 11:23Speaker 1: talk Spanish, you talk Italian. You kind of understand each other,
- 11:26Speaker 1: you know, and I feel like the cultures together, you know,
- 11:29Speaker 1: they do connect. Connect absolutely, they do connect.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Yeah, defintely do.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They tell me sometimes like are you are you?
- 11:36Speaker 4: Are you?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Are you Italian? I said no, They're like I never
- 11:39Speaker 1: met a Puerto Rican. They use their hands so much
- 11:41Speaker 1: because I use I use my hands, you do, Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I say, if I have to come back as as
- 11:47Speaker 1: another another nationality, be Italian, right, I mean, listen, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: love being Puerto Rican. The flavorrecan. I love my heritage.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I love Spanish food is my favorite Spanish It's my favorite.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's got so much flavor. It's it's just it's I
- 12:03Speaker 1: love Spanish food. That's my first go to.
- 12:06Speaker 4: But is that how you started developing the No.
- 12:10Speaker 1: No, actually has nothing to do with that, you know.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I just wanted to be a household name and I
- 12:14Speaker 1: wanted to make something that everybody would love, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: And it's been a long road.
- 12:22Speaker 4: You know, how did you develop them?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Like?
- 12:24Speaker 4: What started it?
- 12:25Speaker 1: So after being in the cafe, you know, I went
- 12:29Speaker 1: into Whole Foods, I started in Whole Foods. I went
- 12:33Speaker 1: into Whole Foods and I looked at what they had
- 12:36Speaker 1: because I wanted to make something that they didn't have.
- 12:39Speaker 1: So I created my first dressing and it was the
- 12:42Speaker 1: basil vinegarette, right it was. I went to the test kitchen,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I made two recipes of it, and I ended up
- 12:51Speaker 1: choosing the first recipe, and that's my first dressing. And
- 12:55Speaker 1: from there went the second one, the cilantro lime, the
- 12:59Speaker 1: white bussom, the ginger soy, the honey mustard, and the
- 13:04Speaker 1: house red wine. So I have six flavors.
- 13:06Speaker 4: I have six flavors flavor.
- 13:07Speaker 1: So I started with five hundred dollars in a dream
- 13:11Speaker 1: and one flavor and one Whole Foods. Twelve years later,
- 13:14Speaker 1: fast forward, I now have six flavors and a website
- 13:17Speaker 1: that sells around the world. But getting there was not easy,
- 13:21Speaker 1: you know. I mean, this is why I wear this shirt,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and this is why I tell everybody you know, like,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I never gave up. I've been knocked down so many
- 13:29Speaker 1: times that you know, getting up probably wasn't even an option.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So many people along the way said, just give up,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's not going to work. The numbers don't make sense.
- 13:37Speaker 1: But in my mind, it made sense. It made sense.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I knew that I had a product that was amazing
- 13:43Speaker 1: and that if I could get it out to the masses,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that they would love it. And you know, currently my
- 13:48Speaker 1: website has only been open for about three years now,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and in three years we are like, it's sixteen thousand orders. Wow,
- 13:56Speaker 1: you know, it's a lot and a lot of them
- 13:59Speaker 1: are returning custom mers. And you know, with social media
- 14:02Speaker 1: and being on TikTok and you know, creating recipes and
- 14:06Speaker 1: doing that, a lot more people you know, know who
- 14:10Speaker 1: I am, and they you know, support and they go
- 14:12Speaker 1: and they end up loving it.
- 14:14Speaker 3: You know, do you are you doing anything besides you know,
- 14:18Speaker 3: running the running the fact because you have a factory obviously,
- 14:21Speaker 3: I have a store, a store, yeah, also a place
- 14:23Speaker 3: that you you you know, you bottle the dressing and everything.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Everything is under one under one roof. We we make it,
- 14:33Speaker 1: we bottle it, and we ship it out. You know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: everything is there. And you know, most recently I moved
- 14:41Speaker 1: into a new location and uh, I thought it was
- 14:45Speaker 1: going to be you know, home, you know, I thought
- 14:48Speaker 1: it was going to be home. It's in Woodridge, Woodridge,
- 14:52Speaker 1: New Jersey, Bergen County, five minutes away from home, you know,
- 14:56Speaker 1: like it was a great location. My childhood friend owns
- 14:59Speaker 1: a busines and it's a couple doors down, you know,
- 15:02Speaker 1: so it was it felt good, you like, it felt
- 15:05Speaker 1: like the right thing. I started to move in. I
- 15:07Speaker 1: started to renovate the place, and two months later I
- 15:10Speaker 1: get a knock on the door from a management company
- 15:13Speaker 1: that the person that I signed the least with went
- 15:17Speaker 1: into foreclosure and now you know, they own the property.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I was like, what am I going to do?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Like what does this mean for me? And they said,
- 15:26Speaker 1: no problem, you could stay here. You'll just you know,
- 15:29Speaker 1: have to deal with us, and you know, okay, And
- 15:32Speaker 1: I was like cool, I continue to do what I
- 15:34Speaker 1: had to do. I was finally ready to go into
- 15:37Speaker 1: the town to get my CEO to like officially kind
- 15:40Speaker 1: of open, and I was going to renovate because I
- 15:42Speaker 1: wanted to do retail because now I have merchandise, and
- 15:45Speaker 1: I wanted the customer to be able to actually come
- 15:48Speaker 1: in and purchase the dressing because right now you can
- 15:50Speaker 1: only purchase the dressing online. If you're local, you can
- 15:53Speaker 1: come into the store and pick it up, but right
- 15:55Speaker 1: now it's just online. Well, when I went to get
- 15:58Speaker 1: the CEO, they told me that the owner had owed
- 16:02Speaker 1: back taxes and they refuse to give me the CEO,
- 16:05Speaker 1: which left me to have to shut down JJ's own.
- 16:09Speaker 1: And for for me, I mean, it's been my whole life,
- 16:13Speaker 1: you know, like the last twelve years of my life.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I've dedicated my heart and my soul to this business.
- 16:19Speaker 1: And to have to shut it down is you know,
- 16:22Speaker 1: crucial for me. It's my livelihood. Yeah, you know, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: mean this is and this is your dream, it's my dream,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you know. And and as I sit here today with
- 16:32Speaker 1: this shirt on, you know, the one thing you'll never
- 16:34Speaker 1: see me do is give up, you know, I say.
- 16:38Speaker 1: You know, life gives you lots and lots of things,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and sometimes it gives you a bed deck, you know,
- 16:44Speaker 1: and the way you handle yourself and the situation is
- 16:49Speaker 1: really the way it's going to go.
- 16:50Speaker 3: You know.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I get up every day and I thank God for
- 16:52Speaker 1: the breath that He's given me, and and I just
- 16:55Speaker 1: you know, I try to take whatever comes my way.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You know, I've I've learned a lot of a lot
- 17:00Speaker 1: of valuable lessons along the way, you know, about people,
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know, just about business, about a lot of things,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and you know it. Sometimes it hurts. Sometimes the knife
- 17:16Speaker 1: feels a little sharper than others, you know, And they're
- 17:20Speaker 1: just lessons along the way, you know, and and and.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You know, every day is a learning experience, it is, right,
- 17:27Speaker 3: And no matter how old we are, Like you're the
- 17:30Speaker 3: same age as me, Right, you're in forty nine.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Well, all right, so you're in the same group.
- 17:36Speaker 1: All yeah, I'm a little old up.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know, you learn, and I know too
- 17:41Speaker 3: from you know, business, and and you know friends and
- 17:44Speaker 3: it's said or even family. You know, sometimes if you're
- 17:47Speaker 3: if you're successful, or you're following your dream, not everybody
- 17:51Speaker 3: is in your corner. And it sucks when sometimes you
- 17:53Speaker 3: find out that you think they're in your corner and
- 17:57Speaker 3: they're really not.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You know, I feel like, you know, the more things
- 18:02Speaker 1: you do and the more people you're around, and the
- 18:04Speaker 1: more events you get invited to, the more jealous people get,
- 18:08Speaker 1: the more the more hate people, the more hate, the
- 18:12Speaker 1: more hatred there is, you know, Like here I'm like
- 18:16Speaker 1: feeling like I'm living my best life and like I'm
- 18:18Speaker 1: on top of the world. You know, And and I
- 18:21Speaker 1: was hearing you before say something of you know, you
- 18:24Speaker 1: get a thousand wonderful comments, but it's just that one
- 18:28Speaker 1: that affects you, you know, and you're human. You know,
- 18:32Speaker 1: you're human. You have a heart. I mean, I do
- 18:34Speaker 1: you know what you know, it hurts when people hurt.
- 18:39Speaker 1: People hurt people, you know, and you know, you think
- 18:43Speaker 1: somebody's on your side and they're not, you know, and
- 18:46Speaker 1: and and and that hurts, you know, but you just
- 18:49Speaker 1: you can't let that get in the way. You know,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you really really can't. You gotta you gotta, like you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: weed out the negative and just go with the positive.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Like you know, I've had people come and go in
- 19:01Speaker 1: my life.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Are you happy?
- 19:03Speaker 3: Do you feel that the people that would you have
- 19:07Speaker 3: changed the people that you were around before. Let's just say,
- 19:11Speaker 3: do you do you think that that people hindered you
- 19:15Speaker 3: in the last twelve years. There's certain people that hindered
- 19:18Speaker 3: you that you had to get.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Rid of in your life.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I mean, listen or not even you knowing that they
- 19:23Speaker 3: were hindering you and then realizing that they were maybe
- 19:26Speaker 3: holding you back because.
- 19:28Speaker 1: You know, I think that, like I think that people
- 19:30Speaker 1: come into your life for reasons and seasons, you know,
- 19:34Speaker 1: And I think that you know, like not everybody's rooting
- 19:38Speaker 1: for you, you know, or they're rooting for you for
- 19:41Speaker 1: the wrong reasons, you know. And I think that everybody
- 19:47Speaker 1: in my life that I've met along the way, I
- 19:51Speaker 1: feel like you make a memory with somebody, yeah, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: good or bad at one time it was a good memory,
- 19:59Speaker 1: you know. So I try to say, like I say this,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I have my friends since I'm a child, you know,
- 20:05Speaker 1: I have childhood friends. And they say you can count
- 20:07Speaker 1: on one hand how many If you can count on
- 20:09Speaker 1: one hand how many friends you got, you're a blessed person.
- 20:15Speaker 1: You're blessed. But you know, I feel like as as
- 20:21Speaker 1: you go through life, you know, not everybody's going to
- 20:24Speaker 1: be on the same page as you know. Sometimes you know,
- 20:28Speaker 1: you do mean to, you don't mean to you know,
- 20:31Speaker 1: And sometimes things happen in life, and you know, you
- 20:36Speaker 1: you you wonder why someone feels a certain way or
- 20:40Speaker 1: why something happened, or why did this situation end up
- 20:43Speaker 1: this way? But you know, I have to tell you
- 20:46Speaker 1: that as I grow older in life, it's easier for
- 20:49Speaker 1: me to let people go because my happiness is within myself,
- 20:54Speaker 1: you know, like nobody's going to take care of me
- 20:56Speaker 1: the way I'm going to take care of me. You know,
- 20:58Speaker 1: nobody's paying my bills. That's so you know, nobody's nobody's
- 21:02Speaker 1: doing those things. So you know, sometimes you know, a
- 21:08Speaker 1: good person does a bad thing, yeah, or a bad
- 21:11Speaker 1: situation happens, you know, and and listen, you choose to
- 21:15Speaker 1: have that person in your life or you choose not to.
- 21:18Speaker 1: That's your choice. At forty nine years old, I'm an adult,
- 21:21Speaker 1: I've grown. I have the choice whether I want you
- 21:24Speaker 1: in my life or not. And that my choice and
- 21:26Speaker 1: my choice true. And I that's I say that all
- 21:30Speaker 1: the time. It's so much easier for me to let
- 21:32Speaker 1: to let people go.
- 21:34Speaker 3: With this age then years of you know, when you're younger,
- 21:37Speaker 3: it's hard to let people go because you're so much
- 21:38Speaker 3: leave accent.
- 21:39Speaker 4: But then when you get older, you're like, do I
- 21:42Speaker 4: need this.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Drama in my life?
- 21:43Speaker 3: Do I need this effect that somebody is gonna put
- 21:46Speaker 3: on me because you're getting older and you just don't
- 21:48Speaker 3: want that.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You just want peace, peace?
- 21:50Speaker 4: Right, You want peace.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I was just ready to say, you know, I want
- 21:52Speaker 1: to put my head down at night and I want peace.
- 21:55Speaker 1: That's what I want. You know, Like, listen, be kind
- 21:57Speaker 1: to people. It doesn't hurt, you know, it doesn't cost
- 22:00Speaker 1: anything to be kind, you know, And on my shittiest day,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I put a smile on because you know, you just
- 22:07Speaker 1: never know, you never know what the next person's going through.
- 22:09Speaker 1: And sometimes I say to myself, wow, like I bitch,
- 22:12Speaker 1: like oh I got this, I got that. But you know,
- 22:15Speaker 1: there's so many people in the world that have it
- 22:17Speaker 1: so much worse, you know, like, I'm so I'm so grateful,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm so blessed to have what I have. I may
- 22:23Speaker 1: not have everything I want, but you have everything you need,
- 22:27Speaker 1: but I have everything I need. Yeah, I say, you know, God,
- 22:30Speaker 1: God's not going to give you everything that you want,
- 22:33Speaker 1: but He's definitely going to give you everything that you need.
- 22:35Speaker 4: It's so true. It's so true.
- 22:37Speaker 3: And you know, listen, being in I have my own
- 22:40Speaker 3: business too, and I know I worked, and I was
- 22:43Speaker 3: just telling the last guest, I said, you know, when
- 22:46Speaker 3: people look at you, they don't care how you got there.
- 22:49Speaker 4: They don't care. They see what you have and they
- 22:52Speaker 4: can then they're jealous of it, but they don't care
- 22:55Speaker 4: how you got there.
- 22:55Speaker 3: They don't care what it took and what you had
- 22:57Speaker 3: to go through to get what you have.
- 23:00Speaker 4: And that's what's said about about how people are.
- 23:03Speaker 3: And you know what, those are the people that you
- 23:05Speaker 3: really you don't need around you because they're not wishing
- 23:08Speaker 3: you well.
- 23:09Speaker 4: You know they're it's not wishing you well.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I feel like now at this point in the game,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I need to surround myself with positive people, people that
- 23:16Speaker 1: are ambitious, people that you know, want to have a
- 23:20Speaker 1: better life for themselves. You know what I mean levels
- 23:23Speaker 1: of people, different levels of people.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Sometimes the people.
- 23:25Speaker 3: That you do grow up with. Like I'm like you,
- 23:27Speaker 3: I have friends that I've been friends with my whole life.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Do I have those friends in every single one of
- 23:32Speaker 3: them in my daily life every day? But that's what
- 23:35Speaker 3: you know what is I have a few that are
- 23:38Speaker 3: in my life every day, but not everybody because I can't.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I have to love them from a distance some of them.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Listen, you know, the definition of a true friend is
- 23:49Speaker 1: someone that you can pick up the phone, whether it
- 23:51Speaker 1: be every day, every month, or every year. Yes, you
- 23:55Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I have friends that I you know,
- 23:57Speaker 1: grew up with that we we shoot it. They're a
- 24:00Speaker 1: text message for the holidays, for birthdays. We don't forget
- 24:03Speaker 1: about each other. That's a friend. You know what I'm saying,
- 24:06Speaker 1: that's a true friend exactly. Life gets busy, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm all over the place. Sometimes I don't even know
- 24:13Speaker 1: whether I'm coming or going. And I'm not a good
- 24:15Speaker 1: you know, you text me, I'm not a good text
- 24:17Speaker 1: or backer. I'm not you know, I don't I don't
- 24:19Speaker 1: call back all the time. But that doesn't mean I
- 24:22Speaker 1: don't love you. Doesn't mean that I'm not your friend.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You know, I say I'm a person, that I'm a
- 24:27Speaker 1: good friend. If I'm not your friend anymore, it's because
- 24:30Speaker 1: you gave me the scissors to cut the rope, you know.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I mean, I'm loyal to the soil. I really truly am.
- 24:37Speaker 1: If I love you and you're good to love you,
- 24:39Speaker 1: I love you with my whole heart. Yeah, and and
- 24:42Speaker 1: and and that's where, like, you know, the disappointment in
- 24:45Speaker 1: life comes in sometimes, you know, with people, you learn
- 24:48Speaker 1: a lot about people and their actions, and you know,
- 24:51Speaker 1: what you would do for someone doesn't mean that they're
- 24:55Speaker 1: going to do a few expectations expectations like I I
- 25:00Speaker 1: just you know, I used to get excited about things,
- 25:03Speaker 1: you know, when somebody said I'm going to do this
- 25:05Speaker 1: for you or you know this is going to happen.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I used to get so excited. I used to work
- 25:09Speaker 1: myself up and you know, and then came the disappointment
- 25:13Speaker 1: when it didn't happen or the person didn't follow through
- 25:16Speaker 1: or you know. And now I just lived my life
- 25:18Speaker 1: like with no expectations, like if something I think is
- 25:22Speaker 1: going to happen for me, when it happens, I'll celebrate
- 25:25Speaker 1: it right until then.
- 25:26Speaker 3: You know, or count on it until it happened, correct,
- 25:30Speaker 3: Because that's how you do get disappointed.
- 25:32Speaker 1: You do, and you learn, you learn throughout life to
- 25:36Speaker 1: do that, you know, to get yourself excited to only
- 25:39Speaker 1: be disappointed, you know.
- 25:41Speaker 3: And and you know what, when you have your own
- 25:43Speaker 3: business and when you're when you do this, your your whole,
- 25:45Speaker 3: your whole concept, your whole company.
- 25:47Speaker 4: You developed yourself. That was it, your brain.
- 25:49Speaker 3: You did that, You developed it on your own, You
- 25:52Speaker 3: did it.
- 25:53Speaker 4: That was you, that was all you.
- 25:54Speaker 1: And I'm a one person show. I mean like in
- 25:57Speaker 1: the beginning, I mean I made it, I packed it,
- 25:59Speaker 1: I said into the stores, I advertise it. I mean
- 26:02Speaker 1: like I am like the walking salad dressing. You know
- 26:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like you know, I can sell you know,
- 26:09Speaker 1: like nobody's gonna sell it the way I can.
- 26:11Speaker 4: You know, but because you know, because you know your product,
- 26:14Speaker 4: I do it.
- 26:15Speaker 1: But also to you know, the product speaks for itself.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It's everybody wants it. Everybody's in it. You know. It's
- 26:22Speaker 1: not only not only looks pretty. You know, it's in
- 26:25Speaker 1: a glass bottle, looks pretty, the presentation of it. It
- 26:28Speaker 1: tastes good and it's good for you. Keto friendly weight,
- 26:31Speaker 1: watch your friendly low and sugar low and sodium. The
- 26:34Speaker 1: only one that's not gluten free is the ginger soil
- 26:36Speaker 1: because of the soy sauce. But you know they're great.
- 26:40Speaker 1: You can use them to for your salads or you
- 26:43Speaker 1: can marinate anything, chicken, fish, shrimp, steak, potatoes, vegetables, process anything,
- 26:47Speaker 1: use your imagination. There's just so many things you can
- 26:50Speaker 1: do with it.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Are a lot of a lot of places in Jersey
- 26:53Speaker 3: using them in the restaurants.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And things like that.
- 26:55Speaker 1: No, I'm strictly I'm strictly website only, you know, going
- 27:00Speaker 1: through the stages of jj'sone. I was in Whole Foods,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I was in Stu Leonards, I was in Shop Right,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and those places took me to the next level, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: then from there to the next level. And I actually
- 27:17Speaker 1: had a situation with shop Right. Was I used to
- 27:21Speaker 1: own a salad bar. During this process, I opened the
- 27:25Speaker 1: salad bar, the jj'sonn salad Bar. I'd make all these
- 27:27Speaker 1: amazing salads, create all these salads, but the only salad
- 27:30Speaker 1: dressing you could use was jj'sone. And I got to
- 27:36Speaker 1: deal with Shop Right, and I left my small little
- 27:39Speaker 1: place and moved to a tremendous warehouse because I had
- 27:42Speaker 1: to fill over three hundred and fifty locations. Well, you know,
- 27:49Speaker 1: shop Right, you know, they kind of failed me. They
- 27:53Speaker 1: picked up their first order and never picked up the
- 27:55Speaker 1: second order really and never ever called me back. I
- 28:00Speaker 1: communicated with a gentleman multiple times, back and forth, back
- 28:04Speaker 1: and forth, and he kind of totally like forgot about me.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And I had my customers and like you know, viewers
- 28:10Speaker 1: and followers saying, you know, I'm in this shop right,
- 28:12Speaker 1: it's not there. Where is it? Hackeme, it's not there.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And I went back and forth for almost a year,
- 28:19Speaker 1: and they, I feel in some way they were like
- 28:23Speaker 1: a demise from me. You know, I went from a
- 28:26Speaker 1: small place.
- 28:28Speaker 4: You know, and then you moved into a big place.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I moved into a big place. I was paying eight
- 28:34Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars a month in the in the
- 28:36Speaker 1: salad bar, and went from eight hundred and fifty dollars
- 28:39Speaker 1: a month to sixty five hundred dollars a month. And
- 28:41Speaker 1: that was just to walk in the door.
- 28:43Speaker 4: You know, the employees, everybody.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Correct all the ingredients, all the everything, everything that comes over.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Everybody thinks like that's what people don't look at the
- 28:53Speaker 1: behind the scenes of it. Yeah, it's a lot, you know. Listen. Yeah,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you look at a bottle. You know, you have have
- 29:00Speaker 1: the label, the nutritional value, the cap, the seals, everything,
- 29:05Speaker 1: everything you know accounts for something. You know. It's it's
- 29:10Speaker 1: not that easy, you know. And it's I just what
- 29:15Speaker 1: what they did to me. I listen. I maintained it.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I stayed there for two years and then I said
- 29:19Speaker 1: to myself, what am I doing here? I'm paying all
- 29:22Speaker 1: this rent. I the place was so big that I
- 29:25Speaker 1: only used a small portion of it. But I feel like,
- 29:28Speaker 1: shame on, shame on you, Shame on you shop right,
- 29:31Speaker 1: such a big company that you came in to a
- 29:34Speaker 1: to a I was I was small, I mean small, company,
- 29:37Speaker 1: and you did this to me and you never responded back, never, nothing,
- 29:42Speaker 1: like they didn't care that They just you know, basically
- 29:46Speaker 1: drowned a company you know that was was doing so well,
- 29:51Speaker 1: you know, and I said, I got to get out
- 29:53Speaker 1: of here, you know, and then I found this new
- 29:55Speaker 1: place and and then this happened. So like I I
- 30:00Speaker 1: feel like, you know, like a lot of things have
- 30:02Speaker 1: been happening in my life, and you know, I feel
- 30:04Speaker 1: like God is just weeding out everything along the way,
- 30:08Speaker 1: even people too, you know, you know what people think
- 30:12Speaker 1: going to.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Steer you to where you're supposed to be.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and listen, I was like, why did this happen
- 30:17Speaker 3: to Why does this have to happen?
- 30:19Speaker 4: You know?
- 30:19Speaker 3: But there's reasons why we have to go through certain
- 30:21Speaker 3: things in life, and we have to we have to
- 30:23Speaker 3: go through that to get to where we're supposed to go.
- 30:26Speaker 4: For whatever, we.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Might not want to go down that road that might
- 30:30Speaker 3: be done and scary and sketchy, however you might have
- 30:34Speaker 3: to go there to get to that that promise land.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It's the journey, listen, it's it's it's it's uh, it's
- 30:41Speaker 1: the destination that you're ultimately looking for. But you got
- 30:45Speaker 1: to enjoy the journey along the way. You know, if
- 30:48Speaker 1: you don't enjoy the journey along the way, then why
- 30:50Speaker 1: are you even on the path.
- 30:51Speaker 4: It's you know what I'm saying, like to enjoy it.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I've had victories and I've had failures, and I've learned
- 30:59Speaker 1: from both of them, you know, and and listen, whatever
- 31:02Speaker 1: comes my way, I accept it. Look, I'm here with
- 31:04Speaker 1: you today, you know what I'm saying. I'm happy to
- 31:06Speaker 1: be here today, you know. And and I say, I'm
- 31:09Speaker 1: going to experience everything that life has to give to me,
- 31:12Speaker 1: you know, like I want to do a lot of things.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I'm not done yet, and I'm never going to give up,
- 31:17Speaker 1: you know.
- 31:18Speaker 3: And you know what you're wearing your you're you're wearing
- 31:21Speaker 3: that and you're i mean not just wearing it on
- 31:24Speaker 3: your on your chest as a montage, but you are
- 31:28Speaker 3: wearing that as you're exuding that because you're saying, I'm
- 31:31Speaker 3: not giving up, but.
- 31:31Speaker 1: What I'm doing, I'm not going to stop.
- 31:33Speaker 3: And that's that's what most that's where successful people are,
- 31:37Speaker 3: you know. Not it's success is not easy.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's not. It's not a.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Success shone because you're succeeding somebody else. It's not easy
- 31:46Speaker 3: to get to that point. It's hard, it's hard.
- 31:48Speaker 1: It's hard work.
- 31:50Speaker 4: It is hard, hard work.
- 31:51Speaker 1: It's every day, you know. I used to walk into
- 31:54Speaker 1: Whole Foods when I first you know, Whole Foods is
- 31:57Speaker 1: so separately, like if you're not on a planogram, you
- 32:01Speaker 1: have to be invited into each store. I used to
- 32:04Speaker 1: walk into Whole Foods with a ziplock bag of vegetables
- 32:08Speaker 1: and a little container of my dressing and say, you
- 32:11Speaker 1: guys got to taste this. I gotta be on your
- 32:12Speaker 1: on your on your shelves. And that's how I did it,
- 32:16Speaker 1: every day in a new store, trying to get in.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And then finally one person listened, and I made it
- 32:22Speaker 1: into my first Whole Foods. My first demo, I sold
- 32:27Speaker 1: probably fourteen cases of the of the basil vinigarette that
- 32:32Speaker 1: the manager came over and said, what is this? Every
- 32:35Speaker 1: person on the on the on the lanes habit, and
- 32:38Speaker 1: it just it just kind of like went from there,
- 32:41Speaker 1: you know. But it's not been easy, you know, it's
- 32:43Speaker 1: it's hard. You know. There were times when I really
- 32:47Speaker 1: thought I was going to give up, you know, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: and many times you people get into your head. You
- 32:51Speaker 1: know you it's not gonna work. It's not gonna work,
- 32:54Speaker 1: but you know, and when you're at your lowest, people.
- 32:57Speaker 4: Like to kick cares.
- 32:59Speaker 1: They're like, kid you, Misery loves company.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Because then because like you said that Mirilla's comin, they're
- 33:05Speaker 3: not happy with their life and they want to see
- 33:07Speaker 3: you down and don't say and even the friends, even
- 33:10Speaker 3: your same friends, I'm sure when you would when you're
- 33:13Speaker 3: when you were down with them in the same area.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Let's just say you were feeling your woes, they were
- 33:19Speaker 3: your find and then all of a sudden, when you
- 33:20Speaker 3: started feeling better, that's when they you know the way,
- 33:24Speaker 3: That's what said some people.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I feel too, Like you know, I'm going to say
- 33:29Speaker 1: the word entitlement. People feel entitled because if I'm your
- 33:36Speaker 1: friend and and you're going somewhere or you're doing something,
- 33:41Speaker 1: they feel entitled because they're your friends to be able
- 33:44Speaker 1: to be there and to do those things. And when
- 33:48Speaker 1: they're not invited, and not for any reason, but just
- 33:51Speaker 1: because that's what it is, what it goes for. You know,
- 33:55Speaker 1: sometimes I'm not invited with a plus one or sometimes
- 33:58Speaker 1: you know, I'm invited with own only one. Right, you know.
- 34:01Speaker 1: And I feel like, you know, the the entitlement that
- 34:05Speaker 1: people feel entitled.
- 34:07Speaker 3: They have to be with they have and if they're
- 34:09Speaker 3: not with you, then they're like, oh, you didn't take
- 34:11Speaker 3: me with you too.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Well, I can't always take everybody. Yeah, you know the
- 34:15Speaker 4: same thing.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I know.
- 34:16Speaker 3: And I understand that I have a I have I
- 34:19Speaker 3: had friends before, Like when especially in the beginning, I'm like, I.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Can't take fifteen people.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, listen, I would love to listen. I'm a
- 34:29Speaker 1: person like I love.
- 34:31Speaker 3: If it's my party, you know, every listen, everybody could
- 34:36Speaker 3: come me.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Everybody, They'll bring the truckloads, if I hear you.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I love a good party and I love everybody. But
- 34:43Speaker 1: sometimes not, you know, you can't bring everybody, you know,
- 34:46Speaker 1: and and and sometimes people don't understand that, you know.
- 34:49Speaker 1: And I think that that's where the jealousy comes in,
- 34:52Speaker 1: and that's where the the digs, you know, And that's
- 34:55Speaker 1: the part that that's the hardest.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Feel like it's because I feel like invited to let's
- 35:00Speaker 3: just say, you go somewhere with Let's just say, like
- 35:03Speaker 3: I go with somewhere with like Catherine Deducci, like she's
- 35:05Speaker 3: a good friend of mine, yeah, I went down and
- 35:07Speaker 3: I'm walking through me and I'll go down to Marlborough
- 35:09Speaker 3: Street a lot and go hang out different restaurants and stuff.
- 35:12Speaker 3: I can't take five of my friends with me because
- 35:14Speaker 3: I'm with Katine, you know what I mean?
- 35:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 35:17Speaker 4: But it's like.
- 35:20Speaker 3: It's not because I don't want them to come, But
- 35:22Speaker 3: what am I going? I can't tell Kasin can I
- 35:24Speaker 3: take my.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Five friends with me?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 35:26Speaker 3: The super giving host off and then I'm with her
- 35:29Speaker 3: and then you know, they're like doing stuff with me
- 35:31Speaker 3: and horror and things like that. So it's like it
- 35:34Speaker 3: doesn't mean like you don't want them now, but I
- 35:37Speaker 3: just can't.
- 35:38Speaker 1: You know, certain people. You know, I'm friends with certain people,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and I can't bring everybody everywhere I go, right, you
- 35:46Speaker 1: know what I mean? And and like I'm not that
- 35:47Speaker 1: person like I would if you invite me somewhere and
- 35:50Speaker 1: you invite me, I'm never gonna say, can I bring right?
- 35:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I would never do that.
- 35:57Speaker 1: But if it's me, I bring them all? You know
- 36:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. That that's who I am.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I can't just say I wouldn't. I would not.
- 36:04Speaker 3: I'm not that person that I'm going to ask if
- 36:05Speaker 3: I could bring somebody with.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Me either mine, I just neither mind just won't.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Yeah, there's one time on my birthday I did ask,
- 36:13Speaker 3: I did ask Sabrina from the Cover Girls if I
- 36:15Speaker 3: could bring more than one person to the pre Style shower.
- 36:19Speaker 3: But I but that was my birthday. But otherwise I
- 36:22Speaker 3: never ever ever yes. I just don't, you know what
- 36:24Speaker 3: I mean. I'm just not like if somebody says, John, oh,
- 36:27Speaker 3: here's an extra ticket if you want to bring somebody.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'm gratefull owes me too, but the same way and
- 36:32Speaker 1: I and.
- 36:32Speaker 4: I get that, and I do get that.
- 36:34Speaker 3: It's it and it's hard because you know, when you're
- 36:36Speaker 3: when you're elevating.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Yourself to something.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Now, I'm not saying that my friend or your friends
- 36:42Speaker 3: are on a difficult like beneath you or you know
- 36:46Speaker 3: what I'm saying, But if they're not aspiring to do
- 36:48Speaker 3: something else and they're more in the public we're more
- 36:50Speaker 3: in the public eye.
- 36:51Speaker 4: And then now it's.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Like, these are the things I have to do to
- 36:56Speaker 3: keep myself and my business out there.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Correct?
- 36:59Speaker 1: Correct? You know, it's my life. You know, I wake
- 37:03Speaker 1: up in the morning, and I'm I'm go from the
- 37:06Speaker 1: minute I wake up to the minute I go to sleep.
- 37:08Speaker 1: You know, I'm constantly thinking. I'm constantly trying to, like,
- 37:12Speaker 1: you know, think of new things. You know, I do
- 37:16Speaker 1: food reviews on TikTok, and I'm constantly going to different places,
- 37:20Speaker 1: you know, and sometimes I can't be accessible to everybody.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I'm one person, and I'm one person running this business
- 37:29Speaker 1: trying to you know, continue its growth. You know, I
- 37:34Speaker 1: can't be everywhere at the same time. I can't please
- 37:38Speaker 1: every person at the same time, you know, And that's
- 37:42Speaker 1: where you know, the friend comes in. You know, some
- 37:44Speaker 1: friends will understand that and something friends, you know.
- 37:47Speaker 4: And how about your family is I mean, I know
- 37:49Speaker 4: you're close.
- 37:50Speaker 1: To your mom, right, I'm very close to my mom.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Page the whole thing with what was it? Was it
- 37:57Speaker 4: not Ricky.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Martin Mark Anthony. She was scammed. She was scammed. She's
- 38:03Speaker 1: eighty two years old. She was scammed. She loves Mark Anthony.
- 38:07Speaker 1: And I took to social media, and you know, within
- 38:11Speaker 1: a few hours, I was talking with you know, Mark
- 38:14Speaker 1: Anthony's people. We got to go to two of his
- 38:16Speaker 1: shows and we got to go backstage for him to
- 38:19Speaker 1: tell her that it wasn't him. You know, I lost
- 38:23Speaker 1: my dad four years ago during COVID, and he was
- 38:26Speaker 1: like the love of my life. He's the only man
- 38:28Speaker 1: in the world I've ever loved, you know. He was
- 38:31Speaker 1: my heart. You know, he's my twin, you know. And
- 38:35Speaker 1: when we you know, my mother and father married fifty years.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Great childhood growing up. You know, I was no I
- 38:42Speaker 1: have two I have other brothers and sisters as well,
- 38:45Speaker 1: but you know I was Daddy's girl. I'm the baby, yeah,
- 38:50Speaker 1: you know, and I could do no wrong in his eyes.
- 38:52Speaker 1: And we lost him during COVID, in the early part
- 38:55Speaker 1: of COVID, in April when it first started, and I
- 39:00Speaker 1: thought my whole world was gonna, you know, come to
- 39:03Speaker 1: an end. But you know, God gives you the strength,
- 39:08Speaker 1: you know, to keep going, you know. And I don't know,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I don't know how I how we did that, you know.
- 39:15Speaker 1: He we kept him home for a little while. He
- 39:17Speaker 1: started to get a fever. We kept him home as
- 39:20Speaker 1: long as we could, and I said, we can't keep
- 39:23Speaker 1: him home anymore. We got to take him to the hospital,
- 39:25Speaker 1: you know. And this was when COVID was like they
- 39:27Speaker 1: said that like if you went to the hospital. It
- 39:29Speaker 1: was in the air right, you know, and I made arrangements.
- 39:36Speaker 1: I had him, you know, picked up in a private
- 39:38Speaker 1: ambulance and I took you know, we took him, and
- 39:41Speaker 1: you know, as he walked, as they you know, strolled
- 39:45Speaker 1: him out, I said to my mother and my sister,
- 39:47Speaker 1: say goodbye to Daddy now, because I don't believe he's
- 39:49Speaker 1: going to come back. And it was probably one of
- 39:53Speaker 1: the hardest moments of my life, you know. And every
- 39:57Speaker 1: single day I laid down with that phone on my chest,
- 40:01Speaker 1: waiting for the phone call, you know, they had. When
- 40:06Speaker 1: he first went in, he was tested for COVID. He
- 40:08Speaker 1: came out negative. By the time he got to the hospital.
- 40:11Speaker 1: They called me up and they said, if all the
- 40:14Speaker 1: tested negative positive for COVID pneumonia. My mother and I
- 40:19Speaker 1: went to get checked and we were both positive without
- 40:22Speaker 1: synthom So we had to stay in a house where
- 40:26Speaker 1: my father was dying in the hospital, and we couldn't
- 40:29Speaker 1: even be next to one another, or we couldn't even
- 40:31Speaker 1: go see him. A man that was loved by so
- 40:34Speaker 1: many and that was never alone a day in his life,
- 40:39Speaker 1: died all by himself. I watched them, I watched them
- 40:42Speaker 1: die on my cell phone on a FaceTime and it
- 40:48Speaker 1: was the hardest you know, probably thirteen days of my life,
- 40:52Speaker 1: you know, and it was just it was terrible, you know.
- 40:57Speaker 1: But what I say now is that in the real
- 40:59Speaker 1: estate world, he can't be here, but he's got the
- 41:02Speaker 1: best seat in the house.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, and he's watching wants you to be successful.
- 41:09Speaker 1: He sure does. Yeah, what do you.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Where do you see yourself going with this? Now?
- 41:13Speaker 3: Like where do you say? I know you have you
- 41:15Speaker 3: have you gonna eventually? Do you think you're gonna move
- 41:17Speaker 3: into a new spot?
- 41:19Speaker 1: Yes, I'm in I'm currently searching for a new location.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I'm saying Jersey all day, Jersey all day, every day.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But but yeah, I'm looking for a new spot in
- 41:29Speaker 1: New Jersey. Or I may honestly even entertain a manufacturer,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you know, if it's the right right fit for me.
- 41:39Speaker 1: And honestly, jem, I might even entertain someone purchasing JJ zone.
- 41:46Speaker 1: You know. You know what it's there's so many things
- 41:49Speaker 1: out there, you know, and there's so there's so much
- 41:54Speaker 1: I feel like the one problem I have with JJ
- 41:58Speaker 1: zone it's not selling it. It's not the product, it's
- 42:01Speaker 1: getting it out to more people.
- 42:02Speaker 4: It's hard to get get a product out.
- 42:05Speaker 3: It's you know, and there's so many products and now
- 42:08Speaker 3: because of the Internet and social media, people are just
- 42:12Speaker 3: flooded with so many things. So to make it stand out.
- 42:15Speaker 3: But look at but look at what you've accomplished so far.
- 42:18Speaker 3: You could do it.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you could do it. I'll figure it out. Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 1: never get off, you could do it.
- 42:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you, I'm going to have you back here,
- 42:28Speaker 3: and I know, I'm guarantee you.
- 42:29Speaker 4: I'm going to either hear you either sold it or
- 42:32Speaker 4: you bought it.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, because you're because you're you're gonna you're
- 42:36Speaker 3: hitting the pain.
- 42:36Speaker 4: For right now, ready to do.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I'm a hustler from the beginning. I really am the
- 42:40Speaker 1: ones that are gonna make it, make it, and I
- 42:43Speaker 1: stay true to it, you know, I stay true to
- 42:45Speaker 1: what I say, what I do. I say what I
- 42:47Speaker 1: mean and I mean what I say. It's important.
- 42:50Speaker 4: That's where you're gonna This is where it's gonna pay off.
- 42:53Speaker 4: It's going to pay off. Just keep keep on, keep
- 42:55Speaker 4: it on.

- 43:02Speaker 3: they could purchase JJ.
