Transcript
- 0:11Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:13Speaker 1: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We are back with a listener mailbag episode for the
- 0:21Speaker 1: Way Home season four, number two for the season. If
- 0:25Speaker 1: you want to participate in future listener mailbag episodes, send
- 0:28Speaker 1: us your emails hello at Girlsgonhollmark dot com or shoot
- 0:33Speaker 1: us a voicemail nine four nine three two nine eight
- 0:35Speaker 1: zero nine zero. We typically record these on Wednesday of
- 0:39Speaker 1: the week following the episodes, you have a couple of
- 0:41Speaker 1: days to get your thoughts in in time for the episode.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I did look at our email last night and saw
- 0:46Speaker 1: that we had quite a few, but there's even more today.
- 0:51Speaker 1: That's exciting. So thanks for listening and thanks for writing in.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Guys.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Can I start with this first one? Yeah, ma'am email
- 0:57Speaker 1: from Lindsay titled Redemption for Elliott. Hey, my mom and
- 1:00Speaker 1: I are back to living your podcast. Thanks for all
- 1:02Speaker 1: of your thoughts on hot takes. First things first, shout
- 1:05Speaker 1: out to Francisco for standing up for Elliott and calling
- 1:08Speaker 1: out Wendy dot dot dot haha. Sorry hashtag team Elliott.
- 1:14Speaker 1: When he's making a sad face. I'm not making a
- 1:16Speaker 1: sad face. I think I did address you did very much.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I mean it's been you can have an opinion. People
- 1:21Speaker 1: are just having fun. I know, I know, I don't
- 1:24Speaker 1: feel any like I don't feel bad about it, but
- 1:27Speaker 1: it has been weighing on my heart for a whole
- 1:29Speaker 1: week and a half. Anyway, Lindsay goes on to write
- 1:32Speaker 1: you guys mentioned Kat and Jacob communicating via text, and
- 1:36Speaker 1: thought maybe Kat knows more about Jacob. However, it looks
- 1:39Speaker 1: like the conversation is very one sided, with Kat sending
- 1:42Speaker 1: updates and Jacob not responding. Hmmm. And then previous for
- 1:47Speaker 1: the next episode, we get a glimpse of Tessa. When
- 1:50Speaker 1: did Alice previously meet the girl? Quoting ts Elliott, wasn't
- 1:53Speaker 1: that in nineteen seventy four? So if Alice is back
- 1:56Speaker 1: in the seventies, Tessa looks more growing up right, check
- 2:00Speaker 1: out this picture for comparison. They're in the email, but
- 2:03Speaker 1: they wouldn't copy into here. She does look a little
- 2:05Speaker 1: bit older, but I think if you look at like
- 2:06Speaker 1: a fourteen and a sixteen year old, there's a big
- 2:09Speaker 1: difference in how they can grow a lot in that time. Okay,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I will put the photo in our show notes. Yes,
- 2:15Speaker 1: at Girls Gone Homemerk. She also sent a screenshot of
- 2:19Speaker 1: the texts from Kat to Jacob. I do recall it
- 2:23Speaker 1: was kind of all one sided. Yeah, Jacob's not responding back. No,
- 2:28Speaker 1: assuming Jacob is in the present and can respond exactly done.
- 2:35Speaker 1: She finishes with saying it will sure be interesting to
- 2:37Speaker 1: watch the mysteries unravel this season. Thanks for your insights,
- 2:41Speaker 1: signed Lindsey, who was also Team Francisco.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Ha ha ha.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Next up, we have a voicemail from listener lands love it.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Hi, yay, let's your fans believe me? A voicemail question
- 2:56Speaker 3: or demanded Tony.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We want to say I want to walk at the
- 3:00Speaker 1: gay into bad.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Stuff Maria, and I see whether you think and do this.
- 3:04Speaker 4: You didn't want to be falling up or on the
- 3:09Speaker 4: anything horse and not lasting caps, just fluttering my dog.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I've spent so much of my current things to eat
- 3:15Speaker 4: their dating things or anything he's doing something. I don't
- 3:19Speaker 4: have enough information, soil would say a fight anything.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I have a light any here seeing if I had
- 3:24Speaker 3: the only lot pony one out of fifty pace and
- 3:28Speaker 3: I looked at it and I think that I would
- 3:29Speaker 3: feel face some kind of qualifiers everything. In a while,
- 3:33Speaker 3: Andy been doing the comcast you love for whether I
- 3:38Speaker 3: understand because the one in Barnabule or not different they
- 3:42Speaker 3: think of Highlander, whether it can only be one anyway,
- 3:45Speaker 3: they appreciate the podcast.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I can only imagine Lance's internal dialogue when he listens
- 3:50Speaker 1: to our podcast. Sorry, Lance, I love it. I'm so
- 3:56Speaker 1: glad that he called us on his dog walk. Sorry
- 3:59Speaker 1: we bullied you into it, Lance, but we really love
- 4:02Speaker 1: to keep them coming. We have an email from Jennifer
- 4:06Speaker 1: who says, I hope this isn't too weird, but I
- 4:07Speaker 1: couldn't decide how to organize my thoughts on this episode,
- 4:11Speaker 1: so I decided to do it by going beat by
- 4:13Speaker 1: beat throughout your episode on my second time listening. Overall,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I'm really liking the season so far. Also, I was
- 4:19Speaker 1: the one who wrote in before the season began, wondering
- 4:22Speaker 1: if Hallmark would do the same kind of YouTube after
- 4:24Speaker 1: show that it did for When Calls the Heart. They
- 4:27Speaker 1: are not. They did release a video about the costumes
- 4:30Speaker 1: before the season began, and they are releasing episode highlights
- 4:33Speaker 1: and previews, so they are not ignoring it. A non
- 4:37Speaker 1: Hallmark podcast I listened to talks about holding theories loosely.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think that's always important for shows like The Way Home,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but especially as we come to the end. It's great
- 4:45Speaker 1: to theorize, but we cannot become so enamored with our
- 4:48Speaker 1: own theories. We get angry when the show goes a
- 4:50Speaker 1: different way. I would add that a particular subgenre of
- 4:54Speaker 1: this is to be upset when the show goes with
- 4:56Speaker 1: something that people who listen to podcasts and or posts
- 4:59Speaker 1: to Reddit and social I think is too obvious. Usually
- 5:02Speaker 1: that just means the writers did a good job of
- 5:04Speaker 1: setting up the ending and are not throwing in something
- 5:06Speaker 1: random to catch people off guard. Can I stop you there? Yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm curious what podcast Jennifer is referring to, the Non
- 5:15Speaker 1: Hallmark podcast about holding theories loosely. I might want to listen,
- 5:20Speaker 1: So Jennifer email us. I'm curious, give me your podcast recommendations.
- 5:25Speaker 1: So Jennifer sent the most detailed email we have received
- 5:29Speaker 1: to date. I highlighted a few of her many, many,
- 5:33Speaker 1: many points. She says Dell not being there for Elliott.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I think she's referring to him not being able to
- 5:40Speaker 1: live with them Colton tells her to not even bother
- 5:42Speaker 1: asking Elliott to spend the night since he'll say no.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I think Dell knew that Vick was abusive and didn't
- 5:47Speaker 1: want them under the same roof, But for reasons we'll
- 5:49Speaker 1: find out, presumably they weren't able to do that. Also,
- 5:54Speaker 1: in terms of your conversations of her not being there
- 5:56Speaker 1: for Elliott after Jacob and Colton in nineteen ninety nine
- 5:59Speaker 1: and two thousand, that's probably true. But interestingly, at the
- 6:02Speaker 1: beginning of season one, they already have a close relationship
- 6:05Speaker 1: before Cat has moved back, so at some point they
- 6:08Speaker 1: restarted their closeness outside of him being with Cat. I
- 6:11Speaker 1: think that's probably good for them to have a relationship
- 6:13Speaker 1: outside of him being her likely future son in law.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Speaking of which, season two, and I think even in
- 6:19Speaker 1: a little of season one, there were also times Dell
- 6:22Speaker 1: and Brady were really in sync. It's interesting that Dell
- 6:25Speaker 1: can make these good relationships with Kat's men, even when
- 6:29Speaker 1: she and Cat can have a hard time. He does
- 6:33Speaker 1: have a really good point back in season one, Elliott
- 6:36Speaker 1: and Dell were quite close, already close. She goes on
- 6:40Speaker 1: to say, is Jacob a main character you both dislike
- 6:42Speaker 1: Jacob being away and part because the show is about family.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I would counter that for some reason. I remember the
- 6:47Speaker 1: initial description of the show, which didn't mention time travel,
- 6:51Speaker 1: described it about three generations of women learn how to
- 6:54Speaker 1: find their way back to each other. So I've always
- 6:57Speaker 1: seen the main characters as just Dell, Cat and Alicy.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I think Elliott, Colton, and Jacob in that order, as
- 7:03Speaker 1: our strongest secondary characters. Everyone else, even Alice's boyfriend Brady,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and Rita, are tertiary. I think Casey is probably tertiary
- 7:11Speaker 1: as well, based on screen time, but this season may
- 7:13Speaker 1: change my perspective. While Jacob has been important to characters,
- 7:17Speaker 1: it's often his absence more than his presence that's important.
- 7:21Speaker 1: In some ways, he's more an object being sought than
- 7:23Speaker 1: a driver of the plot. I think that's very interesting.
- 7:28Speaker 1: He may bee who they are looking for, but he
- 7:29Speaker 1: didn't choose to go into the pond the first time.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Alice and Kat drive the plot every time they choose
- 7:34Speaker 1: and sometimes are faded into the pond. About Tessa Cooper,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I agree that Fern recognizes the last name Cooper. Also,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was screaming in my head during the party for
- 7:43Speaker 1: Cat to bring up Tessa's maiden name to people. I
- 7:46Speaker 1: know not the only one to think this, but the
- 7:47Speaker 1: fortune teller could be someone probably Tessa. If Fern knows Tessa,
- 7:51Speaker 1: that means Fern has met a time traveler without realizing
- 7:54Speaker 1: she was a time traveler. Do you think there are
- 7:56Speaker 1: others ash mirroring the nineteen twenty sixth story about the sailor.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I think that's kind of ominous. Also married again according
- 8:04Speaker 1: to Dell, with what Fern said about her baby daddy,
- 8:07Speaker 1: which I think is a lie. Oh, I think it
- 8:11Speaker 1: was a lie when Fern said it too. She was
- 8:13Speaker 1: just making up that story.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah, this just makes me want to go back and
- 8:16Speaker 2: watch the episode again.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Whole series. This is incredible insight I think from Jennifer
- 8:23Speaker 1: m hm. As we're like reading through it, I'm like,
- 8:26Speaker 1: is Jennifer a. Ryder on the show being very sneaky
- 8:30Speaker 1: about giving us the inside baseball of it all? That's funny.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I don't think she is, but she's quite insightful.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Our next emails from Lisa, Hi, Megan, and Wendy. We
- 8:39Speaker 1: love your show so much. Thanks, thank you for getting
- 8:42Speaker 1: your episodes out. The very next day after the episode ears,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I know I emailed you guys last year about this,
- 8:48Speaker 1: but I wanted to reiterate that there's no question in
- 8:51Speaker 1: my mind that Alice is quote the one. They have
- 8:55Speaker 1: told us that from the very start. Her last name
- 8:57Speaker 1: is Alice Dewan, which based clee, sounds like the one
- 9:03Speaker 1: and also means the one. Oh does it also mean
- 9:06Speaker 1: the one? Yeah? I think so.
- 9:08Speaker 4: God.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I just got to say, like shout out to the
- 9:10Speaker 1: writers of the show for the foresight to come up
- 9:13Speaker 1: with all that. Oh maybe not it means runner or messenger.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Oh, but that is interesting too.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Uh.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I know.
- 9:24Speaker 1: There's there's some pushback about Alison being the one because
- 9:27Speaker 1: Fern says, well, couldn't be you because you're not a boy.
- 9:30Speaker 1: That was because the cat couldn't be you because you're
- 9:33Speaker 1: a girl. Vern does not say because you're not a
- 9:35Speaker 1: boy and someone the Another theory that I read somewhere
- 9:38Speaker 1: this week was that because Fern says it couldn't be
- 9:42Speaker 1: you because you're a girl, could point to Casey oh
- 9:45Speaker 1: not pointing to a girl. But also it's possible that
- 9:50Speaker 1: Ern got mixed up and assumed it was a man.
- 9:52Speaker 1: We don't know, don't We don't know the details there.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Wow.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Our next emails from Sarah, Hei, Megan, and Wendy. Great
- 9:57Speaker 1: recap of this week's episode. I love to hear your
- 9:59Speaker 1: theories and though of the other listeners in the mail bag.
- 10:02Speaker 1: In response to last week's mailbag, I don't think Alice
- 10:05Speaker 1: buried Tessa's suitcase. I thought that Rock was her and
- 10:08Speaker 1: Nix rock at the co from their first kiss. I
- 10:12Speaker 1: also thought that's why it would be such a memorable
- 10:14Speaker 1: location for her for this week's episode. I love the
- 10:18Speaker 1: nineteen twenties era. I love Gabriel as Grayson. Your theory
- 10:21Speaker 1: of him as Sam blew my mind and that they
- 10:23Speaker 1: do have physical similarities. If this is true, how does
- 10:26Speaker 1: he get to present day? Maybe this is where the
- 10:29Speaker 1: pocket watch that was the gift from Griffin to Dell
- 10:31Speaker 1: and Colton that went into the time capsule comes in.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Regarding the mural, if it was just painted in nineteen
- 10:36Speaker 1: twenty five, how did the painter come up with it?
- 10:39Speaker 1: If it is supposed to depict Kat as the White
- 10:41Speaker 1: Witch protecting Evelyn and Colton in the pond in nineteen
- 10:45Speaker 1: sixty five. In the nineteen seventy six timeline, did you
- 10:48Speaker 1: notice how Lucid Fern was with Alice. In all of
- 10:51Speaker 1: Kat's interactions with Fern in that decade, she was always
- 10:54Speaker 1: so in her head with Chance in singing. Then with
- 10:56Speaker 1: Alice she's lucid and calm. What changed in that short
- 10:59Speaker 1: time period regarding the room and the tunnels? I think
- 11:02Speaker 1: Alice was connecting with Jacob being held captive down there.
- 11:07Speaker 1: She heard that story from Kat, but had not been
- 11:09Speaker 1: down there herself. She couldn't really admit that to Colton,
- 11:11Speaker 1: so she had to drop it quickly and follow him.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I can't wait for next week. I'm so excited to
- 11:16Speaker 1: see who Griffin is. There's another question further down about
- 11:20Speaker 1: Gabriel as Grayson, and I didn't think it through how
- 11:23Speaker 1: it could work. It was just a theory that I
- 11:26Speaker 1: had in that moment. The timing is weird because as
- 11:29Speaker 1: of right now, we can't travel to the future that
- 11:31Speaker 1: we're aware of, right, so he would have to be
- 11:35Speaker 1: from the future, got it. Yeah, So, and if you
- 11:40Speaker 1: were traveling straightforward in time, he'd be like one hundred
- 11:43Speaker 1: years old. Yeah. So it's okay, they're there. It's still
- 11:48Speaker 1: not out of the realm of possibility, I know. Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Our next femails from Francisco, he writes, Megan and Windy, Okay,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I feel like not a whole lot happened. I mean
- 11:57Speaker 1: Kat went to nineteen twenty five, met Fern, and then
- 12:00Speaker 1: around Now. I get that they want to establish who
- 12:03Speaker 1: Fern is and who the players are. I just felt
- 12:14Speaker 1: like not a whole lot happened in the past compared
- 12:16Speaker 1: to nineteen seventy six and the present. That being said,
- 12:20Speaker 1: let's talk about Fern. She's very cute and spunky. She
- 12:23Speaker 1: seems so full of life and just fun. She's obviously
- 12:26Speaker 1: a better journalist than Kat has been. Now, I don't
- 12:29Speaker 1: think Grayson is Sam. Why can't he be someone new? Also,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I did notice the reaction of Fern to Tessa Cooper's name.
- 12:36Speaker 1: A lot of this was set up. Can we stopped
- 12:39Speaker 1: there for a second. Francisco asks, why can't Why can't
- 12:44Speaker 1: Grayson just be someone new? I mean, Grayson can be
- 12:47Speaker 1: someone new, sure, But I feel like we put our
- 12:49Speaker 1: clown makeup on when we watched it, absolutely trying to
- 12:52Speaker 1: like piece it all together. Wow, you know, it's like
- 12:56Speaker 1: when we watch Hallmark Mysteries, like we want to solve
- 12:58Speaker 1: it before like.
- 12:59Speaker 2: The end of the movie.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I think that's I mean, that's how I feel like
- 13:02Speaker 1: I watched this show. I want to like solve it before. Yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 1: the mystery of Sam is a big one, and I
- 13:08Speaker 1: would like to figure out who he is. And it's
- 13:10Speaker 1: entirely possible. Sam's not someone we've met already. Yeah, we
- 13:13Speaker 1: don't know his connection Grayson, No Sam. I'm saying it's
- 13:16Speaker 1: entirely possible Sam. Sam's not Griffin. Sam's not Grayson's. Yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 1: it's not you know, Sam's not any of these people,
- 13:21Speaker 1: right right. Francisco goes on. Ash was so awful. I
- 13:25Speaker 1: don't blame ev for wanting to raise Lewis on her own.
- 13:28Speaker 1: He straddled the line between wanta be Beatnick to future
- 13:31Speaker 1: cult leader loll. I thought that was very funny, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: I agree Lingermore has probably seen more than one orgy.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Since he showed up.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Whoa I did?
- 13:39Speaker 2: We did mention naked people right in our episode, I think, so.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I felt we got more answers, and they searched for
- 13:45Speaker 1: Tessa in two places. One of those was with Alice.
- 13:49Speaker 1: The stuff in the tunnel marrying Kat's story wasn't very
- 13:53Speaker 1: interesting in that regard so far, it seems like unrelated filler.
- 13:57Speaker 1: When the show could be more focused on test just
- 14:00Speaker 1: my opinion, he writes. Francisco goes on to say the
- 14:03Speaker 1: conversations between Dellan Elliott and her flashbacks were the other
- 14:06Speaker 1: place we got answers. It seems Griffin had a falling
- 14:08Speaker 1: out with Coulton over maybe something involving Tessa and the pond.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Maybe that's what the auditory memory was, Colton yelling at
- 14:14Speaker 1: Griffin to get out, because they're obviously still estranged in
- 14:17Speaker 1: the nineties. I think between the present time in nineteen
- 14:19Speaker 1: seventy six is when we'll get our answers regarding Griffin
- 14:22Speaker 1: and Tessa. A lot was set up and not a
- 14:26Speaker 1: lot happened. I hope in future episodes we get more
- 14:28Speaker 1: than this, because they only have eight episodes left now
- 14:31Speaker 1: to work with. And while I'm interested in Casey, Jacob,
- 14:33Speaker 1: and Sam, I could care less about Nick and definitely
- 14:35Speaker 1: not Claire, who I care less about. I don't know
- 14:38Speaker 1: why people are still making these crazy theories Alice is Claire?
- 14:41Speaker 1: Who are making those theories? Ay men, Francisco. If people
- 14:44Speaker 1: are still saying that where on Reddit? I don't know.
- 14:47Speaker 1: The thing about this show is the range of people
- 14:51Speaker 1: discussing about it ranges from people who have really insightful,
- 14:57Speaker 1: well thought out, well researched theories and people who are
- 15:00Speaker 1: watching and just make an ess up on the spot,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and it's hard to break it down to who you
- 15:06Speaker 1: should be paying attention to. Yeah, I don't care about
- 15:09Speaker 1: Nick at all. No, it's just an unanswered question. They
- 15:12Speaker 1: floated this thing about Claire, it seems like. But that
- 15:15Speaker 1: feels like it could be wrapped up hopefully fairly quickly. Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 1: Robin emails with a theory about Alice. I'm pretty sure
- 15:21Speaker 1: she was pausing in front of the room that Jacob
- 15:22Speaker 1: was held prisoner by Cyrus Goodwin. You could hear Evelyn
- 15:26Speaker 1: in the background telling the group the history of the tunnels,
- 15:28Speaker 1: and she mentions it once had prison cells. I'm still
- 15:32Speaker 1: curious what Alice bent down to pick up. Was it
- 15:35Speaker 1: a bullet? I'm not sure anyway, Hope that clears one
- 15:38Speaker 1: thing up for me. The most obvious thing is that
- 15:41Speaker 1: it's a bullet casing, but I wasn't one hundred percent
- 15:44Speaker 1: sure in the moment what it was. Our next emails
- 15:46Speaker 1: from Brook and she writes, I have a theory about
- 15:48Speaker 1: who left Elliott at the Pond, and I don't think
- 15:51Speaker 1: it was his mother. Everyone keeps saying it looks like Alice.
- 15:55Speaker 1: What if Alice and Elliott wrote the letter and left
- 15:58Speaker 1: the baby because they knew Tessa wasn't able to come back,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and they knew they would come along moments later and
- 16:04Speaker 1: find him. I just don't think it's Tessa leaving him.
- 16:09Speaker 1: There's too much trauma around that. That's a distraction. My
- 16:12Speaker 1: opinion is it's going to be a super simple explanation
- 16:16Speaker 1: of who left the baby at the pond. We here
- 16:19Speaker 1: on Girls Gonn Hallmark and never theorized that it was
- 16:21Speaker 1: Alice who pushed herself into the pond. I was surprised
- 16:23Speaker 1: by that, so I agree that it could be a
- 16:26Speaker 1: possibility we hadn't considered up to this point. We've all
- 16:30Speaker 1: considered that it was Tessa, but it definitely could not
- 16:33Speaker 1: have been. An email from Michelle says, hey, bestie's back
- 16:36Speaker 1: to the pond.
- 16:36Speaker 3: We go.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I love the jumping back and forth between times. Here's
- 16:39Speaker 1: my bullet points. Now we know why Norman isn't in
- 16:42Speaker 1: Hannah Swinson movies. He's looking fine as Grayson and Mamma
- 16:44Speaker 1: needs eye candy since there's no Thomas. I don't hate
- 16:51Speaker 1: this at all. The Cliff character more mystery. Fern is
- 16:56Speaker 1: too much in any time. I love her Ellie, it
- 17:00Speaker 1: is getting on my last nerve. I love the character development,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but I don't like this emo version. We definitely are friends.
- 17:07Speaker 1: And finally, the seventies are groovy and I enjoyed revisiting
- 17:11Speaker 1: the characters thanks to the podcast and for being real
- 17:15Speaker 1: about the show. Yeah, I was feeling like a person
- 17:18Speaker 1: on an island, out here alone on an island about
- 17:21Speaker 1: my thoughts on Elliott and and I love Mama needs
- 17:25Speaker 1: some eye candy. I always think that needs to be
- 17:26Speaker 1: the title of this episode. Okay, Mama needs some candy.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I love it. Great, great, great great. Our next comment
- 17:32Speaker 1: came on YouTube.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Yes we are are.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Episodes air on YouTube India. The audio is syndicated to YouTube.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Glenn Wright's one throwaway scene that stuck out for me
- 17:44Speaker 1: was when Grayson told Kat that he had a fortune
- 17:47Speaker 1: teller reading people's futures, and Fern quipped that Cat didn't
- 17:52Speaker 1: need to know her future. I wondered why they had
- 17:56Speaker 1: that scene at all, which led me to speculate that
- 17:58Speaker 1: Tessa Cooper. Tessa Cooper might be the fortune teller. There
- 18:03Speaker 1: were tarot cards in her suitcase after all, or it
- 18:06Speaker 1: could have just been a throwaway scene, but those seem
- 18:09Speaker 1: rather rare in the show. Well you're not alone, Glenn.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Somebody else said it too, so yeah, yeah, maybe there
- 18:16Speaker 1: is some truth to this. I don't see a conceivable
- 18:20Speaker 1: timeline where Grace and Goodwin could be Sam. He's been
- 18:23Speaker 1: dead for a few generations by nineteen seventy six, and
- 18:26Speaker 1: even more generations by twenty twenty six. So either Sam
- 18:29Speaker 1: doesn't tie into the characters we've met so far. He
- 18:32Speaker 1: could be a long lost Goodwin, Augustine or Landry from
- 18:35Speaker 1: a member of the family who's moved away a long
- 18:38Speaker 1: time ago. He could be Ash. If the hippie poets
- 18:41Speaker 1: didn't die young, some did opt for the very conventional
- 18:44Speaker 1: lifestyles as they adulted. And that's supposing Dell never met Ash.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I mean, it's not even supposing Dell never met Ash,
- 18:51Speaker 1: because Delle met Alice and didn't remember Alice, yeah when
- 18:55Speaker 1: she met her as her granddaughter.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Right.
- 18:58Speaker 1: If Griffin and Tessa did jump together and stayed in
- 19:00Speaker 1: the past, he could be a descendant of theirs. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: think the writers would have planted more seats if Sam
- 19:07Speaker 1: was Ash, like having him interact with Max in some
- 19:11Speaker 1: obvious way. And I still want to know what happened
- 19:14Speaker 1: to Jasper Coyle since they don't seem to be any
- 19:16Speaker 1: Coil descendants in Port Haven. You know what, I hope?
- 19:20Speaker 1: I hope that the creators of this show have a
- 19:22Speaker 1: wall in their room with all of the wrong theories
- 19:25Speaker 1: that fans have, and every time a new one takes off,
- 19:29Speaker 1: they put it on a post it and stick it
- 19:30Speaker 1: on the wall and they just laugh. Yeah. Wouldn't be great.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Oh I wonder if they've ever like used the theory, like,
- 19:37Speaker 1: did they ever integrate one of the theories? One final
- 19:39Speaker 1: comment from Susie on YouTube, she confirms what others have suggested.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I do think Tessa is the fortune teller. I think
- 19:47Speaker 1: she went back in time with Griffin to escape Vic
- 19:49Speaker 1: and to meet t. S. Eliot, her favorite author, which,
- 19:51Speaker 1: by the way, Tessa Elliot. Ts Elliott. Well, I've already
- 19:55Speaker 1: mentioned I know, like last I know it earlier this
- 20:00Speaker 1: season you mentioned it an I think last season too. Anne,
- 20:04Speaker 1: where's the email that I read that said, like shout
- 20:07Speaker 1: out to Wendy for doing the ts Elliott connection. Oh,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, it wasn't intentional. I think Alis
- 20:15Speaker 1: and Griffin or Jacob are the ones who leave baby
- 20:18Speaker 1: Elliott by the pond. Alice knows that he won't be
- 20:20Speaker 1: in danger there because she already knows her and Cat
- 20:22Speaker 1: and grown Elliott will be there soon. I think Fern
- 20:26Speaker 1: ends up with the Temperance inspector guy, at least that's
- 20:28Speaker 1: who she has a kid with. I don't know why
- 20:30Speaker 1: he doesn't raise her son with her. Perhaps he died
- 20:32Speaker 1: in that explosion, or maybe Fern just never told him
- 20:35Speaker 1: and he went traveling around doing that Temperance Inspector thing.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Obviously something happens at some point that Grayson and Fern
- 20:40Speaker 1: don't work out. Anyway, We'll see what happens. I'm excited
- 20:43Speaker 1: to glean more information with every episode. I'm afraid that
- 20:46Speaker 1: it'll be too rushed in the last two episodes of
- 20:48Speaker 1: the season. I'm also afraid that they'll make it that
- 20:51Speaker 1: this was all a dream or a story made by
- 20:53Speaker 1: Kat in the end like lost.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Oh God, I hope not. I think that would be
- 20:59Speaker 2: so disappointed.
- 21:01Speaker 1: And it's not going to end like that. This show
- 21:02Speaker 1: is not going to end like that. I trust it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: going to cut back to Alice like bugging out on
- 21:08Speaker 1: the stage of her high school.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Oh my god, playing the guitar, and then like.
- 21:13Speaker 1: She's like, oh whoa, I just had like the weirdest no,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I was blacked down. Now, Wendy had a memory of
- 21:20Speaker 1: an email that I did miss but I found it. Okay,
- 21:25Speaker 1: it's from Alexandra, which makes me think of the Foresights,
- 21:29Speaker 1: who says, well, first of all, I actually found your
- 21:31Speaker 1: show last year after they had the third season to Netflix.
- 21:34Speaker 1: If it's perfectly the intersection of magical realism and time travel,
- 21:37Speaker 1: which are my preferred genres, so of course I binge
- 21:40Speaker 1: watched it all. Afterwards, I needed to consume more content
- 21:43Speaker 1: because why isn't everyone talking about this show? And she
- 21:46Speaker 1: found us. Welcome Alexandra. Alexandra says, here's my crazy theory,
- 21:50Speaker 1: Tessa and Elliott, and in that she capitalized T and
- 21:54Speaker 1: s in Tessa sounds an awful lot like TS Eliott.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Last season, Elliott says he was named after his mom's
- 21:59Speaker 1: favorite awe, which is also where all the letters and
- 22:02Speaker 1: clock quotes come from. What if Tessa goes back to
- 22:06Speaker 1: the past and hides there by pretending to be a man,
- 22:10Speaker 1: taking the name of ts Eliott and ends up being
- 22:14Speaker 1: the famous author all along. She could have dressed up
- 22:18Speaker 1: in men's clothes before jumping, hence why there's a suitcase
- 22:21Speaker 1: with her old clothes, and Alice could be the landry
- 22:24Speaker 1: and female figure jumping with her, and that's why she
- 22:27Speaker 1: would know for sure that someone would come get Baby
- 22:30Speaker 1: Elliott's basket after they jumped, because Alice was there when
- 22:34Speaker 1: they rescue Baby Elliott. Thank you to every single person
- 22:44Speaker 1: who has written in emails, dropped your voicemails, dropped your dms,
- 22:48Speaker 1: dropped your comments. We appreciate all of it. We're loving
- 22:51Speaker 1: your theories. We can't wait to watch episode three, and
- 22:55Speaker 1: if you want to get in on that mail bag,
- 22:57Speaker 1: send us your emails and your voicemails to Hello Girls,
- 23:00Speaker 1: Gone homewark dot com nine four nine three two nine

- 23:24Speaker 1: us keep the show running and the Hallmark love flowing.
