- 0:00Speaker 1: For more on that hearing and the Jeffrey Epstein files.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Let's bring in Texas Democratic Congressman Jasmine Crockett.
- 0:06Speaker 2: You are in that hearing today.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We'll get to that in a moment, but first, you've
- 0:10Speaker 1: now seen some of the unredacted Epstein files. What if
- 0:13Speaker 1: anything stands out or surprises you, I'm.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Going to tell you that they actually have not unredacted
- 0:20Speaker 3: a lot of the files. I went after the hearing
- 0:24Speaker 3: today and my staff had a number of specific files
- 0:28Speaker 3: for me to look at, and basically every single one
- 0:31Speaker 3: of them was still redacted. And I had to ask
- 0:34Speaker 3: them why are they still reacted? And they said they
- 0:38Speaker 3: came to us that way, So we will have to
- 0:42Speaker 3: follow up and try to get the unredacted files sent
- 0:46Speaker 3: to us.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Your colleague, Representative Jia Paul said a short time ago
- 0:50Speaker 1: on exit ag Bondi had a list at that hearing
- 0:53Speaker 1: today of which email she had searched when she went
- 0:56Speaker 1: to view the unredacted files. Your response to this.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah, listen, we saw, We knew that ag Bondi had
- 1:07Speaker 3: what we called a burn book, and it seems like
- 1:11Speaker 3: that she also had a lot of intel that seems to,
- 1:15Speaker 3: you know, be a violation of the separation of powers. Right.
- 1:19Speaker 2: We know that we.
- 1:20Speaker 3: As members of Congress, have been granted by a law,
- 1:23Speaker 3: law that was signed into law by this president, to
- 1:27Speaker 3: be able to review what is going on within that
- 1:30Speaker 3: branch of government. And she decided that basically she was
- 1:34Speaker 3: going to be big brother on us and have a
- 1:37Speaker 3: list of who all reviewed what and for why. I
- 1:40Speaker 3: don't know, but we absolutely learned of this today and
- 1:44Speaker 3: I absolutely believe that not only Judiciary, but most likely
- 1:48Speaker 3: oversight is going to respond in that hearing today.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You didn't ask ag Bondi any questions.
- 1:53Speaker 1: The next congressman who spoke after you gave the ag
- 1:56Speaker 1: time to respond, And here's what happened next.
- 1:59Speaker 2: This is what you didn't want to talk about. Texas
- 2:02Speaker 2: from Cuba convicted homicide, arson weapon offense.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Convicted, So what we're talking about, convict some of these
- 2:11Speaker 3: perpetrators that rat these women that even acknowledge they are here.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Ag Bondi last a year before a Congressional panel in October.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Why did you not ask her any questions in your time?
- 2:25Speaker 3: Listen, I am the last Democrat on the committee. I
- 2:27Speaker 3: watched her the entire day and she wasn't answering questions,
- 2:32Speaker 3: and I'm sure she didn't want to answer to many
- 2:34Speaker 3: questions because well, she doesn't want to necessarily lie to Congress,
- 2:39Speaker 3: even though I'm sure that there is plenty of that
- 2:41Speaker 3: to go on. In fact, Ted lou caught her in
- 2:45Speaker 3: a lie, so you know, we'll see what happens maybe
- 2:48Speaker 3: in future administrations. But instead, she decided that she had
- 2:52Speaker 3: her own agenda. That agenda was to put out propaganda
- 2:55Speaker 3: for this president. She decided that she was going to
- 2:58Speaker 3: talk about the DOW, which has nothing to do with
- 3:00Speaker 3: the DOJ. She decided that she was going to talk
- 3:03Speaker 3: about how transparent and wonderful he is. She decided that
- 3:07Speaker 3: she wanted to challenge us on crime that was taking
- 3:10Speaker 3: place in our districts. And you know, she came into
- 3:13Speaker 3: the hearing room with pictures of individuals out of Texas.
- 3:17Speaker 3: But the reality is that there were actual survivors sitting
- 3:20Speaker 3: behind her for crimes that currently need to be investigated,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and she's not doing anything.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Early voting in the Texas primary begins next week. As
- 3:30Speaker 1: you well know, you're locked in a tight race to
- 3:32Speaker 1: become the Democratic nominee for the Senate. Some Democrats have
- 3:35Speaker 1: expressed dismay over bitter campaign battle between you and your opponent,
- 3:39Speaker 1: Representative James Tallerico, and that it could impact the general election.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Are you concerned that whoever wins could perhaps come out
- 3:47Speaker 1: unnecessarily scarred.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Possibly, you know, we're ahead. There was polling that was
- 3:53Speaker 3: this release it so there were eight points ahead of
- 3:56Speaker 3: mister Salarico and based upon the fact that his super
- 4:00Speaker 3: is currently spending more money than John Cornyn's super Pac
- 4:04Speaker 3: in this primary. I think that you know, we know
- 4:07Speaker 3: that we're hits, so we're we're getting some pretty nasty things.
- 4:10Speaker 3: It's quite unfortunate that, you know, mister tall Rico has
- 4:13Speaker 3: decided to campaign and say that he hates super PACs
- 4:16Speaker 3: and things like that. But as remained quiet as we
- 4:19Speaker 3: were notified that there was a mailer that came out
- 4:21Speaker 3: today that darkened my skin and so flat out lives
- 4:25Speaker 3: about me and it was done by his super pack.
- 4:28Speaker 3: At the end of the day, we're going to keep running.
- 4:30Speaker 3: We're gonna run hardly its tape. I think that you know,
- 4:33Speaker 3: Texans know who has the experience and who had, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 3: real plans as well as real receipts for actually getting
- 4:40Speaker 3: the work done. Texans want a fighter, they don't want
- 4:43Speaker 3: to fold her.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And we know that in one when we both form.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Mister tall Rico went back and gave the Republicans the
- 4:50Speaker 3: form that they needed to pass the voter's propression bills
- 4:53Speaker 3: that they decided to pass. And everyone knows that I
- 4:56Speaker 3: was one of the co leades of the FORRM break
- 4:58Speaker 3: and ultimately I ended up going.
- 4:59Speaker 1: To US House Texas Democratic Congressman Jasmine Crockett.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So appreciate your time. Thank you.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Absolutely have a good one.
