- 0:00Hey, everybody.
- 0:01Are you having a great day?
- 0:02Yes.
- 0:03Oh no, you're not.
- 0:05It's okay.
- 0:05I got you.
- 0:07I'm Tif Loeffler.
- 0:08Welcome to Positively Yours.
- 0:10I'm going to share Tif's tips, techniques, and
- 0:13a little bit of magic to help you
- 0:15up level and have a great day every
- 0:17day.
- 0:18Are you ready to get started?
- 0:20Yeah.
- 0:21Oh, you're not?
- 0:22That's okay.
- 0:23I still got you.
- 0:24Let's go.
- 0:27Oh my gosh, everybody.
- 0:28I am so excited.
- 0:29Because I have a guest today.
- 0:31I love interviewing people.
- 0:33I love bringing people to other people.
- 0:35I love being a connector.
- 0:37That's one of the ways to have a
- 0:38great day for me is to connect with
- 0:40people.
- 0:40It's just the best.
- 0:42Now, moving forward, I have made the executive
- 0:46decision that I would like to have a
- 0:48top Tif tip for having a great day
- 0:51at the beginning of each podcast episode.
- 0:54Today's is one that is a personal favorite.
- 0:57I call it a celestial service announcement because
- 1:01when it rains, it pours and I'm talking
- 1:04about water.
- 1:04So Tif's top tip for having a great
- 1:07day is to make sure that you stay
- 1:09hydrated.
- 1:11There are many schools of thought.
- 1:12Some people say you have to have eight
- 1:14glasses of water.
- 1:15Some people say just drink whatever you're thirsty.
- 1:17I'm feeling slightly parched.
- 1:18I am actually going to take a sip
- 1:20of water right now.
- 1:21And if you have a glass, I raise
- 1:24this to you and we can have a
- 1:26sip of water together.
- 1:30And I just think it's important to make
- 1:32sure that you have a glass of water
- 1:34with you throughout the day.
- 1:36You certainly don't want to be dehydrated.
- 1:38That is no way to have a great
- 1:39day.
- 1:41So to recap, water is awesome.
- 1:44We are mostly made of water.
- 1:45We need to have some water.
- 1:46And I have this, I think this is
- 1:48very cute.
- 1:49I heard this from a doctor and she
- 1:51said, no matter what happens with the rest
- 1:53of the day, I know I had a
- 1:54great day.
- 1:54She actually said this because I had a
- 1:56glass of water as soon as I got
- 1:58up in the morning.
- 1:58And I thought that was great.
- 1:59So this is even a tip on how
- 2:01to start your day off.
- 2:03Great is to no matter what, just take
- 2:05a glass of water, throw that thing down.
- 2:08You're going to feel great.
- 2:10And throughout the rest of the day, you
- 2:10can just say, look, no matter what, I
- 2:12had that glass of water.
- 2:13Remember, it's also nice to have a little
- 2:16prompt that you can continually go back to
- 2:18and feel good about and celebrate because in
- 2:21season two, I am so excited that I
- 2:24am going to have so many more tips,
- 2:26so many ideas of how a great day
- 2:29can be created.
- 2:32And yet sometimes autopilot is nice too.
- 2:34When you're just wait, I didn't even realize
- 2:36I'm having a great day.
- 2:37Ooh, yes I am.
- 2:39Now for me, I have really enjoyed looking
- 2:43at how to have a great day through
- 2:46the lens of this podcast experience.
- 2:49So just a moment, I am going to
- 2:51bring on my very first guest and this
- 2:54woman is near and dear to my heart.
- 2:55She is absolutely phenomenal.
- 2:58Incredible.
- 2:59Her hair is gorgeous.
- 3:00Her face is too.
- 3:02I could talk to her for days on
- 3:04end.
- 3:04I know I'm building this up, but do
- 3:05you know why it is so important when
- 3:08you are having a great day to be
- 3:10able to share it with someone and for
- 3:12a long time, it was hard for me
- 3:13to have a great day because I didn't,
- 3:17I had, I have friends, I have lots
- 3:19of friends and I'm very lucky, I have
- 3:21lots of acquaintances.
- 3:22I have loving family.
- 3:23And yet once in a while you need
- 3:25that special someone, you need a mentor, you
- 3:28need a coach, you need a professional, you
- 3:30need someone who really can guide you.
- 3:35And I was so blessed and honored to
- 3:38be asked to be a part of the
- 3:41Inspired Speaker Network.
- 3:43And so without further ado, I simply must
- 3:46bring her onto the stage.
- 3:48The incredible, the incomparable Danielle Benzon of the
- 3:52Inspired Speaker Academy, Danielle, I am so thrilled
- 3:54that you are here today.
- 3:56Thank you so much.
- 3:58Oh, Tif, thank you so much.
- 4:00I'm absolutely thrilled to be here today.
- 4:03And you are one of my favorite client
- 4:07friends that I get to call a client
- 4:09friend, because sometimes you have friends and sometimes
- 4:11you have clients and sometimes you get lucky
- 4:13and one person gets to be both and
- 4:15you are definitely one of those and thank
- 4:16you so much for having me here.
- 4:18I'm honored.
- 4:20It is my pleasure.
- 4:21Now, here's what I want to talk about
- 4:23with you, because I really love to talk
- 4:27about things through the lens of being a
- 4:29woman in business and what I was so
- 4:33appreciative of, this was one day and everybody,
- 4:37I might take better notes in the future,
- 4:39but I just go into the way back
- 4:40machine that there was a day that Danielle
- 4:42said, Hey Tif, can we have a chat?
- 4:44I want to bring something up.
- 4:46I want to see what you think.
- 4:47And here's the cool part.
- 4:50Because in business, I've heard a lot of
- 4:54no, like, and trust.
- 4:55Okay.
- 4:56It's just, you need to know someone like
- 4:57someone trust someone.
- 4:58And the great part about Danielle is that
- 5:00of course I know her.
- 5:01Do I like her?
- 5:02Absolutely.
- 5:03And trust her implicitly in ways I, I
- 5:05didn't even know at the time, but I
- 5:06said, sure, let's hop on a call.
- 5:10And she suggested that we work together.
- 5:13And here's why I want to bring this
- 5:14up and why Danielle, and I'll give you
- 5:16a word edgewise in a little bit, but
- 5:18I was just so excited.
- 5:21Because here's the deal.
- 5:23I was ready for some change in my
- 5:26life, in my business.
- 5:27And there's a saying that when the student
- 5:29is ready, the teacher appears.
- 5:32And Danielle appeared as if she dropped down
- 5:34from the heavens.
- 5:35And there was the, and she said, look,
- 5:38I just, I, I would love to work
- 5:40with you.
- 5:40I think I can, you know, I can
- 5:42help you with this, this, and this, and
- 5:43what do you think?
- 5:44And here's what I wanted to share about
- 5:46that.
- 5:47Also.
- 5:48In the past, I would have immediately, my
- 5:50mind would have gone to, yeah, but how
- 5:52much is it going to cost?
- 5:54Because I had such a low self-esteem
- 5:57on the mindset of could I actually afford
- 6:01things and is it really going to work
- 6:02out this time, but here's where I want
- 6:04to give us all that inspired moment.
- 6:07And I'm sharing it because it was so
- 6:10wonderful to have that.
- 6:13I call it, you know, once in a
- 6:15lifetime moment and not just for that moment.
- 6:18And it wasn't just once, but it's kind
- 6:21of convoluted, but it was just, you know
- 6:23what, the timing was great.
- 6:25Maybe I'm going to say great timing.
- 6:27It was great timing.
- 6:28And there are going to be moments in
- 6:30your life where you get to connect with
- 6:31someone and it is great timing.
- 6:33And yes, you might think, okay, I don't
- 6:36know how I'm going to be able to
- 6:36afford this and my goal, and you know
- 6:38what?
- 6:38It's usually not about money.
- 6:39It's about time.
- 6:41And if it's not about time, it's about
- 6:43that self-worth, that esteem.
- 6:46Can I actually do it?
- 6:47And yes, finances can play a part.
- 6:49And when someone offers you this cool thing
- 6:51that you could do together and you have
- 6:53that moment where it is either yes, or
- 6:58it's, I just can't, it's just a no.
- 7:00And the best part about this was I
- 7:03was all, I was all yes.
- 7:04And there wasn't hesitation.
- 7:06If there was any doubt, well, no, there
- 7:09was no doubt.
- 7:09I just wanted to say yes.
- 7:11And so Danielle, I wanted to thank you
- 7:13so much.
- 7:14The reason I also thank you is because
- 7:16you didn't know what you didn't know about
- 7:19my circumstances at the time.
- 7:21And you, I feel we're taking a stand
- 7:24for my greatness and wanted to offer something
- 7:28and just see what happens.
- 7:31And really it's not what it's all about.
- 7:32And I was able to say yes.
- 7:33And I was so glad I said yes.
- 7:36And now asking you, do you, I, you
- 7:40know, it's just kind of fun.
- 7:41I don't mean to put you on the
- 7:42spotlight.
- 7:42Do you remember like, you know, like, Ooh,
- 7:44I wonder like, Ooh, maybe she's ready to
- 7:47work with me.
- 7:48And because we had just kind of recently
- 7:50been reconnected, we had known each other for
- 7:52a while, just hadn't seen each other.
- 7:54Then all of a sudden I saw you
- 7:54again.
- 7:54I was like, this is awesome.
- 7:56And then we're talking and then the offer.
- 7:57And I'm like, yes.
- 7:59So what, what did you have?
- 8:01Do you have anything to, to comment on
- 8:03that once in a lifetime, but maybe it's
- 8:04not once in a lifetime, but it's the
- 8:06great moment.
- 8:07It's just feels great.
- 8:08You work with someone.
- 8:10I like that's a great moment.
- 8:11A great moment.
- 8:12Yes.
- 8:13I have something to say about our great
- 8:14moment.
- 8:15I definitely, uh, I I'm not one to
- 8:20just go out and solicit my services.
- 8:22That's not really my style.
- 8:24I don't do cold calls.
- 8:25I don't do that kind of thing.
- 8:26And we, we did know each other and
- 8:27we had connected and I only do that.
- 8:31I don't do it very often.
- 8:32I only do it with people I really
- 8:34like.
- 8:34I'm like, Oh, I really like this person.
- 8:36I really like to work with them and
- 8:38people who have indicated to me that they
- 8:41have a problem that I could solve.
- 8:43So you may not have said it to
- 8:45me directly, but at some point in our
- 8:47conversation, like in a networking group or something,
- 8:49you'd said something about wanting to improve your
- 8:51speaking skills, or you'd said something about.
- 8:53You said something that made my ears go,
- 8:55Oh, Oh, maybe I can help.
- 8:57So it wasn't just that I was like,
- 8:59Oh, I'm going to call everyone on the
- 9:01networking group.
- 9:01It wasn't like that at all.
- 9:03That is not how I work.
- 9:04Tif and I had a connection.
- 9:06I already knew that I loved you just
- 9:09yourself and that we'd, we'd be a good
- 9:11fit to work with each other.
- 9:12Cause I loved your energy.
- 9:13And then you said something that made me
- 9:16think, Oh, Tif is working on something.
- 9:19She has a goal that I help people
- 9:21with.
- 9:22Maybe she'd be interested.
- 9:24It doesn't hurt to ask.
- 9:26And so that was my attitude going in.
- 9:28I wasn't like, Oh, I need to make
- 9:29a sale or I don't network that way
- 9:31at all.
- 9:32And I seldom approach people from networking groups
- 9:35with my services, but she had mentioned it.
- 9:39I knew we vibed really well.
- 9:41And I thought, you know, what's the worst
- 9:42that can happen?
- 9:43What's it can happen if she says no,
- 9:44and we have a great conversation.
- 9:46So, you know, there's really no, there's no
- 9:48lose in that.
- 9:49So I thought, why not just try it?
- 9:51And I do, I'm very careful about, because
- 9:54my services are extremely high touch.
- 9:57I spend a lot of time with my
- 9:59clients.
- 9:59I am very careful who I offer, who
- 10:02I make offers to because we have to
- 10:05be a good fit.
- 10:06It's, it's like choosing, choosing a speaking coach,
- 10:09choosing any sort of coach.
- 10:10It's kind of the same as choosing a
- 10:11therapist or anything else.
- 10:12You have to get along.
- 10:14And it's very much about the relationship.
- 10:16So we already had a good relationship.
- 10:18So it was a lot easier for me.
- 10:21Oh, I am so glad to hear you
- 10:23say that.
- 10:23And I love that you brought that up
- 10:24because I do want to let people know
- 10:26that you're in business.
- 10:28You have a service to offer.
- 10:30You have things to give people.
- 10:33It is everything right and great to offer
- 10:36that to people when the moment presents itself.
- 10:39And I just think that's so important.
- 10:41And what I also love it, and there's
- 10:43just like so much flowing in my head
- 10:44right now that I wanted to ask you,
- 10:45but I will say this.
- 10:47The best part about, well, there's so many
- 10:51parts, but one of them is that, yes,
- 10:53Danielle, thank you for bringing up the high
- 10:55touch.
- 10:56It is well worth the investment for me
- 10:58to be your client because I appreciate how
- 11:02much you give and it is so appreciated.
- 11:06And I couldn't thank you enough, especially in
- 11:09the next part that I want to talk
- 11:11about, but especially that there, there are people,
- 11:15I've heard this said about like a coach
- 11:17is like a professional friend.
- 11:19And I thought that was kind of cute.
- 11:20And I like that because a coach, you
- 11:25do need to, you, you do like someone
- 11:27who's a friend, but you also need someone
- 11:29who's going to guide you in a way
- 11:31that they, they're just, they're seeing how you
- 11:34need that.
- 11:35And I appreciate in the initial conversations.
- 11:39And as we were developing this relationship and
- 11:42how you were helping me and joining your,
- 11:45your course for speaking, which by the way
- 11:48is super awesome.
- 11:49And we just wrapped up, which, okay.
- 11:51I'm only going to do this just for
- 11:53a moment, because here's the great part.
- 11:55When you work with someone, there's always a
- 11:57way to continue.
- 11:57We only wrapped up part one.
- 11:58We only wrapped up part one.
- 11:59Okay, good.
- 12:00All right.
- 12:00That's it.
- 12:01Yeah.
- 12:01Okay.
- 12:01Thank you.
- 12:02There's more.
- 12:03Because if there's one thing I would also
- 12:05offer is just a little tidbit for someone.
- 12:07It's just to make sure that when you
- 12:09have the end of a certain segment in
- 12:12your goods or services, there are some of
- 12:15us that are squishy marshmallows.
- 12:16And when you go, okay, yep, that's it.
- 12:17We're done.
- 12:18We're just like, oh.
- 12:19That not might be what you mean, but
- 12:21little did I know that not only were
- 12:23we engaging in this amazing speaking course, but
- 12:30then Danielle do tell, what did you drop
- 12:33into my lap?
- 12:34That was a gift that I was not
- 12:36expecting.
- 12:37And it was about this big and I
- 12:38could barely see over the edge of it.
- 12:40And it had to do with the podcast.
- 12:43Oh, I don't know.
- 12:46What gift did I give you?
- 12:47Oh yes.
- 12:48Well, again, I mean, you say it's a
- 12:50gift.
- 12:50I mean, it's a product.
- 12:51We are again, working together.
- 12:54So it was an opportunity, but it was
- 12:56a special opportunity because launching this network, I
- 13:00needed to choose who I was going to
- 13:01launch with.
- 13:02You can't launch a network all by yourself.
- 13:04Well, you can, but then you're the only
- 13:05person on the podcast.
- 13:06Well, that's really embarrassing.
- 13:07So I needed to find people that I
- 13:09liked that I wanted to launch with and,
- 13:11you know, work with and figure it out
- 13:12together with, because this is an adventure for
- 13:14me too.
- 13:15So I, yeah, I just, I went through
- 13:17my clients who I knew were interested in
- 13:20podcasting.
- 13:21I went through my clients who I knew
- 13:22should be doing a podcast, even if they
- 13:24hadn't mentioned it.
- 13:26And also friends and people that I knew,
- 13:28and I made a short list of, I
- 13:30think, I think I made a short list
- 13:32of seven and five said yes.
- 13:34So that was pretty amazing.
- 13:36And Tif was definitely on the, well, obviously
- 13:39you were on the short list, but you
- 13:40were right up there, right up, right up
- 13:42there on the short list.
- 13:43Because we'd already, and we'd already kind of,
- 13:46we'd had a prototype already because we did
- 13:47a couple of live streams because I was
- 13:50thinking, damn, I got to get Tif doing
- 13:52a podcast and she wasn't taking any of
- 13:54my hints.
- 13:55So, so what I did instead was I
- 13:58invited her to do a few lives with
- 14:00me on LinkedIn.
- 14:01And we had such a great time doing
- 14:03that.
- 14:03I thought that would make it an easier,
- 14:07an easier sell for you to do your
- 14:09own podcast now, because you could tell that
- 14:11you could do it.
- 14:14I am chuckling, but I want to, if
- 14:16I had a drink of water and do
- 14:17the spit take, because that is the first
- 14:20time I have heard you say that.
- 14:22Like, that's why we did the lives on
- 14:23LinkedIn.
- 14:24I thought they were so great.
- 14:25And then we didn't do them anymore.
- 14:26And I was all like, I'm so sad.
- 14:29Well, we're not doing them anymore.
- 14:31Then she brought this opportunity again, another once
- 14:35in a lifetime.
- 14:35That's why it's like, is it once in
- 14:37a lifetime?
- 14:38It's whatever that opportunity happens in your lifetime.
- 14:41You just feel it feels right.
- 14:45And it feels great.
- 14:47And I don't know if I had mentioned
- 14:49to you at some point, I did want
- 14:51to actually have a podcast, but I didn't
- 14:54know what that entailed.
- 14:55But guess what I thought it entailed.
- 14:57I thought it entailed a lot of stuff
- 14:58I don't know how to do.
- 14:59So I don't know if I can do
- 15:00it.
- 15:00Probably can't do a podcast.
- 15:01And I tried before and it was just
- 15:02too hard.
- 15:03And then I just didn't do it.
- 15:04And it's not that I gave up on
- 15:06it, but it was certainly in the back
- 15:07burner.
- 15:07And then you just brought it right to
- 15:09the front and said, and now that as
- 15:14we're talking, I, of course, we'll try to
- 15:16incorporate why I feel this is how we
- 15:18have a great day.
- 15:19You know how to have that positively great
- 15:21day.
- 15:21Well, here's the deal.
- 15:23It's really nice to have consistent times with
- 15:28people who are helping you uplevel, grow, stretch.
- 15:33Maybe there's a little bit of struggle.
- 15:34Maybe there's a little bit of, I don't
- 15:36know if I could do this.
- 15:38Someone who has your back and Danielle, I
- 15:42can tell you absolutely has her clients back.
- 15:45Like you go to bat, you are there
- 15:47in ways that I, I just, I still,
- 15:51to this day, I'm so impressed with and
- 15:53I really appreciate it.
- 15:55And it just means so much.
- 15:57And the only reason that I, I can't
- 16:00tear up at this moment is because I
- 16:01just start bawling.
- 16:02And then the whole rest of this would
- 16:03be like, I love you so much, but
- 16:04it's true because having a great day, truly,
- 16:09I just feel it's the key of C
- 16:12and I like saying that.
- 16:13Cause I kind of just thought of that
- 16:14during the season one, but I really like
- 16:16it.
- 16:16And for me, the key of C, the
- 16:18one is connection.
- 16:19You want to be connected to your great
- 16:21day.
- 16:22If you want to be connected with people
- 16:23who help you stay connected to having a
- 16:26great day.
- 16:27And once in a while, I'll admit Danielle
- 16:29has told me some things gently guided me
- 16:33or flat out said things.
- 16:34And I'm like, I think one of my
- 16:36favorites I'd like to share with everybody.
- 16:37And when she you've said, you've got to
- 16:39make a decision because I up until a
- 16:42certain point, I was just so awfully, I
- 16:45love waffles, but you should eat them.
- 16:47You shouldn't be them.
- 16:48Okay.
- 16:48I should not be a waffle where I'm
- 16:49like, maybe this, maybe that.
- 16:51And thank you, Danielle.
- 16:52Okay.
- 16:53Just it's saying, taking that declaration, make a
- 16:56decision.
- 16:57You can always change it, but you have
- 16:58to make a decision.
- 17:00It's been a very long time since someone
- 17:02has said that to me.
- 17:03And you said it in a way that
- 17:05was direct and loving and all the things.
- 17:08And I'm so grateful that I, I just
- 17:10thought, okay, I will start to take direction.
- 17:13Okay.
- 17:14I'm going to start to make decisions.
- 17:16And I appreciate that.
- 17:17I would, I would love to jump in
- 17:19here if that's okay, please, please.
- 17:21Yeah.
- 17:21Because you said something a little, a little
- 17:24while back, I'm going to backtrack a tiny
- 17:25bit.
- 17:25You said something about how, you know, we
- 17:28have a lot of fun together and, but
- 17:30it's also challenging.
- 17:32Yeah.
- 17:32And for me, I think that is essential.
- 17:34It is really difficult to master any sort
- 17:38of skill if it's always hard, you know,
- 17:41because you're not going to do it because
- 17:42it's unpleasant.
- 17:42It's not fun.
- 17:43Why would you do it more?
- 17:44Why would you do it?
- 17:45So creating as much fun and as much
- 17:48play in a process that is inherently difficult,
- 17:51like public speaking or inherently scary, I think
- 17:54that's where the magic happens.
- 17:56Because if we're not having fun, if we're
- 17:59not enjoying the process, if we don't have
- 18:01each other's back and we're not, we're not
- 18:03giggling and you know, all that stuff, doing
- 18:06the difficult stuff becomes impossible.
- 18:09So having that mix of levity, it doesn't
- 18:12make, it doesn't undermine it.
- 18:13It's not about distracting from the pain.
- 18:16It's about allowing yourself to embrace the pain
- 18:19through laughter.
- 18:20You know, we're humans.
- 18:20We do this very human thing where we
- 18:22like to mix emotions together.
- 18:24And there's a very big difference between playing
- 18:27the fool to distract from the lesson and
- 18:31using the pain or the challenge of the
- 18:34lesson to create fun and to create joy
- 18:38and silliness and play.
- 18:39And those are two very, very different things.
- 18:41And you do this very well, Tif.
- 18:43And I think this is extremely important.
- 18:46And there was something else I wanted to
- 18:48say.
- 18:48Ah, oh, and as a theatre kid, I
- 18:52really feel this and especially doing this podcast
- 18:55network because we did this whole thing in
- 18:58a month.
- 18:59And it was a challenge.
- 19:00It was a challenge for all of us.
- 19:02It was especially a challenge for James and
- 19:04I to, we had many sleepless nights getting
- 19:07deadlines, but it was so fun.
- 19:10It was so much fun because we had
- 19:14this deadline, we're all coming together.
- 19:16It wasn't, you know, it's not brain surgery.
- 19:18If we don't hit the deadline, no one
- 19:20dies.
- 19:20So there was that.
- 19:22But also we all really wanted to hit
- 19:23it because we were so close.
- 19:25And the way the group came together, that,
- 19:30that reminded me of my theatre kid days
- 19:32when you're all, you're like, oh, we've got,
- 19:33we've got a week to put this production
- 19:34on and the costumes aren't ready and the
- 19:36lights aren't ready.
- 19:37And I don't know my lines.
- 19:37And how's this all going to happen?
- 19:38And then somehow it just magically all comes
- 19:40together at the last minute.
- 19:42And somehow on opening night, everything is amazing.
- 19:45And it kind of felt the same way.
- 19:46This, this podcast launch, this network launch rather,
- 19:50the network launch felt like putting on a
- 19:53play.
- 19:54And that opening night was amazing.
- 19:56And it just, it gave me something special.
- 20:00So thank you for being part of that,
- 20:01Tif.
- 20:01And for everyone who was part of it,
- 20:03I'm indebted to you all.
- 20:06I thank you so much because I love
- 20:10to be a part of this network and
- 20:13yours is the Inspired Speaker podcast.
- 20:18I hope I'm saying that right.
- 20:19Did I get it right?
- 20:21And we also have Surfing Your Edge and
- 20:26The Guiding Parent and Awakening Women on the
- 20:29Rise and also Evolving with Elle.
- 20:32So I have to make sure that in
- 20:34the notes, everybody's podcasts are in there because
- 20:37I am so excited for all of us.
- 20:39They want to make sure that right away
- 20:40I was like, yes, we are absolutely going
- 20:43to promote because it's so important.
- 20:46Because if I were to have one more
- 20:50point about this, that I really appreciate about
- 20:53working with Danielle and spoiler alert, I'm going
- 20:57to be talking with Danielle throughout season two,
- 20:59because there's so many other things that I
- 21:01want to talk to her about.
- 21:01And we just can't have it in one
- 21:03episode.
- 21:04So season two is going to be a
- 21:07lot of, we need a whole season and
- 21:09that's what's happening.
- 21:10I'm so excited.
- 21:11And this is a part of that connection,
- 21:13that group, that I'm going to say sisterhood,
- 21:16that you helped us create all of the
- 21:19ladies with our podcasts.
- 21:21And I'm just so grateful because talk about
- 21:25setting ourselves up to have great days.
- 21:29I was pretty impressed that we got it
- 21:30together when we did.
- 21:32Also again, Danielle, I think it was so
- 21:34awesome and funny when later on you told
- 21:37us, you said, guess what?
- 21:38It was an arbitrary date that I picked
- 21:39because we just had to pick a date.
- 21:41Otherwise, two years from now, we can still
- 21:44be talking about it.
- 21:45And there was no time for talk.
- 21:46The world needs us now.
- 21:48And we did this together.
- 21:51And speaking of, you know, we're, as I'm
- 21:54wrapping up this season with you, which is
- 21:56awesome.
- 21:56And now season two will be together, be
- 21:57even more awesome.
- 21:59We are still on a journey.
- 22:01Together, all of us in our different podcasts.
- 22:04And I think that's so tremendous.
- 22:05And we have this, we have this bond
- 22:09now.
- 22:09We have this energy that is helping us
- 22:12to sustain those, those great days, which I
- 22:16love.
- 22:17I'm just so excited because I have things
- 22:19to look forward to.
- 22:20And, and that's just means a lot to
- 22:23me.
- 22:23Thank you.
- 22:24And that was something surprising everybody.
- 22:25If I were to say, it's really fun
- 22:28to have surprises in your, in your having
- 22:30a great day means having some surprises.
- 22:32And one of the surprises for me was,
- 22:34wow, they're going to be a part of
- 22:35my future great days.
- 22:36And this is an awesome thing.
- 22:37And I'm really excited.
- 22:38And it gives me a boldness and feeling
- 22:42of responsibility.
- 22:43And it feels really great.
- 22:45Yeah.
- 22:46And I do think that that's really important.
- 22:48I think community as part of having a
- 22:51great day, as part of your, as part
- 22:53of your system.
- 22:55You know, that you maintain to help you
- 22:58to continue to have a great day.
- 22:59Cause it doesn't happen by accident.
- 23:00It's definitely from knowing Tif, I have learned
- 23:03many things about having a great day.
- 23:05And one of the things that I've learned
- 23:06is that you design it and you plan
- 23:08for it.
- 23:09And that is one of the things that
- 23:10you need to curate is a community because
- 23:14when you are alone and something bad happens,
- 23:18the only person who can pull you out
- 23:20of it is yourself and you're already having
- 23:21a bad day.
- 23:22So that's much harder to do.
- 23:23Whereas if you have a group of people,
- 23:26when you get knocked down, you can just
- 23:29call someone and say, Hey, just help me
- 23:31out.
- 23:31I'm not having a great day.
- 23:33And just that connection is sometimes enough, but
- 23:35often they have something wonderful to say as
- 23:37well.
- 23:37And this group has really, oh, you have
- 23:40supported each other in a way that I
- 23:42didn't imagine.
- 23:42It was a surprise to me, but it's
- 23:44so exciting because I did, I had this
- 23:47fantasy about creating this community and everyone's going
- 23:49to be together.
- 23:50And I do think that the short timeline
- 23:52was a huge part of that.
- 23:54I don't think it'd be as close as
- 23:55you are if I'd given you more time.
- 23:58So I do think that it was a
- 23:59very smart but manipulative decision on my part
- 24:03to create our random launch date.
- 24:07But also you have all, you all took
- 24:09the challenge, you all stepped up and not
- 24:11only stepped up for yourselves, but you stepped
- 24:13up for each other.
- 24:14And the amount of support and love I
- 24:17have seen in this group, it gives me
- 24:20hope for humanity, you know?
- 24:22I feel that.
- 24:24I do.
- 24:25Yeah.
- 24:25And I thank you because, well, I love
- 24:29that you talked about manipulation.
- 24:30My boyfriend likes to say it's positive manipulation.
- 24:33Okay.
- 24:35But also what a savvy business move.
- 24:38I love it.
- 24:39And also understanding the psychology of the human
- 24:42brain, it was fantastic.
- 24:45We all, it wasn't trial by fire though.
- 24:47It was just, it was a short timeframe,
- 24:51but you also gave us the tools and
- 24:55you gave us your support and you gave
- 24:58us a framework, a blueprint.
- 25:01And that is so wonderful because you know
- 25:04what?
- 25:04You can have your organic great days, the
- 25:06days that just pop up.
- 25:07There's just like, yep, it's just happening, which
- 25:09is great.
- 25:10But again, sometimes it's a challenge to rely
- 25:13on that, especially when you have a great
- 25:15project you're working on, like helping launch a
- 25:18podcast network.
- 25:19And so that's where the planning and the
- 25:22support come in.
- 25:24And I just am so delighted that we've
- 25:27had some time together.
- 25:29Is there, is there anything else that you
- 25:31would like to add about the experience of
- 25:33launching this network?
- 25:34Because I think this is tremendous that you
- 25:36are helping so many people have great days,
- 25:38not just for us who have been a
- 25:41part of this first level launch, the initial
- 25:43launch, but also all the people who are
- 25:45going to be listening to our podcast.
- 25:47I'm just so excited.
- 25:48People are already listening.
- 25:49It's very exciting.
- 25:51I know people are listening to us speak
- 25:52right now.
- 25:53Isn't that crazy?
- 25:54Oh, right.
- 25:57Yeah, no, I do think it was, it
- 25:59was a really surprising experience.
- 26:01I learned so much.
- 26:02I think we all grew a lot over
- 26:03the last month.
- 26:04I definitely grew in ways I wasn't expecting.
- 26:07I learned things that I don't think I
- 26:09would have learned if I hadn't put myself
- 26:11under pressure.
- 26:12But it was, it was wonderful because typically
- 26:15when I give myself projects, I put myself
- 26:17under way too much pressure and I don't
- 26:18have enough support and I burn out and
- 26:21I collapse.
- 26:22And this was the first time in a
- 26:23long time that I've had enough support that
- 26:27the goals were realistic.
- 26:29There was a push, but they were realistic.
- 26:31And also if we didn't reach them, I
- 26:33had a backup plan as well.
- 26:35So there was also that.
- 26:36So that was nice.
- 26:37I didn't want to use the backup plan
- 26:39for pride, but there was one, so it
- 26:41was okay.
- 26:42And there were just so many things that
- 26:45came together magically that I didn't anticipate.
- 26:51But also the big gift was that the
- 26:56five of you kind of dived in blind
- 26:58with me.
- 26:59I said, Hey, I want to do this
- 27:00thing.
- 27:01I've never done it before.
- 27:03I have a good idea of what I'm
- 27:04doing, but I know that I only know
- 27:0950%.
- 27:09You know, you know, you don't know what
- 27:11you don't know.
- 27:11And I was very aware that I didn't
- 27:13know what I didn't know going in.
- 27:14I think I planned well, but you never
- 27:17know.
- 27:18I'm anticipating a lot of challenges, unforeseen challenges
- 27:22along the way.
- 27:23This is a big experiment.
- 27:24Would you like to come and be guinea
- 27:26pigs essentially with me?
- 27:28And you were all so keen.
- 27:30It was so fun to experiment and to
- 27:33be allowed to be messy and to be
- 27:35allowed to not know what I was doing
- 27:37and to go like, Hey, I'm going to
- 27:39figure it out.
- 27:40I know what our goal is.
- 27:42I know at least 50% of the
- 27:44pieces.
- 27:45We'll figure out the other pieces on the
- 27:47way.
- 27:47As long as we keep communicating, as long
- 27:49as everyone stays flexible and stays positive, we'll
- 27:52get this done.
- 27:53And it was such a wonderful experience because
- 27:56that need to be perfect and to know
- 27:59everything before you start, that's a very strong
- 28:03temptation.
- 28:05And I very purposefully, like Christine Goad of
- 28:09Surfing the Edge says, you know, you got
- 28:11to just sometimes you just got to throw
- 28:12yourself into the deep end and see what
- 28:13happens.
- 28:14And I am not usually one who does
- 28:16that kind of thing, especially with my speakers,
- 28:18because I don't believe in shocking the nervous
- 28:21system.
- 28:21But this wasn't that.
- 28:22This wasn't throwing us into the deep end.
- 28:24It was just, I've got a challenge.
- 28:26It's a realistic, it's a big challenge, but
- 28:28it's a realistic challenge.
- 28:30And I just want to be messy and
- 28:32experiment and see how far we get.
- 28:34And you all came with me and we
- 28:36got way further than I thought we would.
- 28:38And it was so cool.
- 28:39And I'm so stoked.
- 28:41I am too.
- 28:43And I, I so appreciate that you offered
- 28:47us an adventure.
- 28:49And having a great day is all about
- 28:51having adventures.
- 28:53So you don't have to know all the
- 28:55parts of this adventure.
- 28:56Just know that you're going on one and
- 28:58just be open to the possibilities of this
- 29:00adventure, which we did.
- 29:01And here we are.
- 29:03And I am so excited to say that
- 29:06I'm wrapping up season one and now season
- 29:09two is on the horizon.
- 29:11And thank you for being a part of
- 29:13that and joining me.
- 29:15And I just I can't thank you enough.
- 29:17And, and to Wendy and Elle and Tammy
- 29:22and her daughter.
- 29:25And it's just been, it's just been such
- 29:28a, and Christine.
- 29:30And what I appreciate is that.
- 29:35Oh, cause Christine does surf on the edge,
- 29:37right?
- 29:37Okay.
- 29:37I just want to make sure that I,
- 29:39I want to name drop everybody.
- 29:41Shannon is Tammy's daughter.
- 29:43And Christine, okay.
- 29:44Thank you.
- 29:45Cause I was like, Oh, I just met
- 29:46Shannon.
- 29:47It's hard to keep track of everybody.
- 29:49Well, that's what, and again, here's the best
- 29:51part.
- 29:51Like in the past, we've been like, I
- 29:52can't remember if it's like, no, just go
- 29:54for it.
- 29:54Just start name and name.
- 29:55It's going to come to you.
- 29:56Thank you, Danielle for, cause I just met
- 29:58Shannon and it's just so much fun.
- 29:59And again, adventures continue and having great days
- 30:03include continuing adventures.
- 30:06And so that's why I just appreciate that
- 30:09we are on a continuing adventure.
- 30:11So although I, I am saying chow for
- 30:14now to you.
- 30:15I'm so excited that we're going to, we're
- 30:17going to pick up where we left off
- 30:19in season two, and that's going to be
- 30:20very exciting.
- 30:21So thank you for being a part of
- 30:23this journey with me, not only helping me
- 30:25create my journey, but being a part of
- 30:27this podcast with me because you're outstanding and
- 30:30I love you with all my heart.
- 30:32Well, you are outstanding and I love you
- 30:34with all my heart as well.
- 30:35And I just thought of a really lovely
- 30:36thing for me to say to say thank
- 30:38you.
- 30:38And goodbye is instead of waffling on, I'm
- 30:41just going to say chow.
- 30:44I love it.
- 30:45Thank you, darling.
- 30:46You are the best.
- 30:48And I give a big round of applause
- 30:49to Danielle Benzon.
- 30:51Yay.
- 30:51The Inspired Speaker Academy is a great place
- 30:55to get your speak on telling you.
- 30:58And the course is great.
- 30:59And this podcast has been epic.
- 31:02And I, I wanted to share in, as
- 31:07I'm wrapping up this, this first season, it
- 31:10has been so amazing.
- 31:11I have so appreciated the love and support.
- 31:15I do want to thank Danielle again, especially
- 31:17for those moments where those moments that were
- 31:22many moments where I got to feel like
- 31:24a VIP rockstar.
- 31:25I just, I felt both sides.
- 31:27I felt like the rockstar.
- 31:28I felt like the VIP behind the, you
- 31:30know, just, just all the things when you
- 31:33allow yourself to let someone give you tools
- 31:38to have a great day, that's really important.
- 31:40And that's one of the things we're going
- 31:41to be talking about in season two.
- 31:43So.
- 31:45As I try to wrap it up, I
- 31:47do want to say having a great day
- 31:50does take a bit of planning and it
- 31:52can happen organically.
- 31:54But what I especially appreciate is that when
- 31:56you allow people in your life that give
- 31:59you the tools, the opportunity, the openness, it's
- 32:03really wonderful when you let people into your
- 32:05life.
- 32:06So I would just encourage us to just
- 32:08take a moment and think of someone that
- 32:11we've let into our life that has helped
- 32:14us have great days that we, we knew
- 32:17they could, but in ways we didn't even
- 32:19think possible.
- 32:20And right now, yes.
