- 0:11Speaker 1: follow us and your subscribe to us on YouTube, there's
- 0:14Speaker 1: a lot of vlogs that we do where Taylor goes
- 0:17Speaker 1: out to the UFC, he gambles with Dana White. We've
- 0:19Speaker 1: been out to several UFC UFC events and we are
- 0:23Speaker 1: massive fans of what goes on out there, and this
- 0:25Speaker 1: is throwing it back to the first time that Dana White,
- 0:29Speaker 1: the UFC President and friend of the show, came on
- 0:31Speaker 1: the bus while the boys were in Vegas back in
- 0:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty three. We talked Dana's blackjack skills. The rise
- 0:37Speaker 1: of Power Slap. Power Slap was just about to start.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We were at the first one with him. He also
- 0:42Speaker 1: talks about his health journey with Gary Brecca and his
- 0:44Speaker 1: thoughts on building the UFC into what it is today.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And of course we wrap it up talking McGregor first Chandler,
- 0:51Speaker 1: which we are hopeful, hopeful that it happens next fourth
- 0:57Speaker 1: of July, celebrating two hundred and fifty years of Indos.
- 1:00Speaker 1: This one's awesome. Tap in love you, big hugs, tiny kisses.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I gotta be in a meeting at Red Rock. Not
- 1:07Speaker 2: our kind of meeting, a meeting of rock.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Hey, yes, speaking of you, guys have been on a
- 1:12Speaker 1: terror with the gambling.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Hear absolutely, we're gonna roll, We're gonna go. Yeah, he's
- 1:22Speaker 2: on a terror.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I don't know, man.
- 1:24Speaker 3: After last night, that was the biggest comeback I've seen
- 1:27Speaker 3: in gambling history.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That was unbelievable. It was You're You're the sinse of
- 1:32Speaker 1: black jack. You're the Sinsey.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I've been doing it for a long time and I've
- 1:36Speaker 2: had many nights like last night and even deeper. I've
- 1:39Speaker 2: had some fucking wars man, and uh yeah last night
- 1:42Speaker 2: was fun and thanks for thanks for riding it out
- 1:44Speaker 2: with me.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, absolutely, because I knew essentially, You're like, you're
- 1:47Speaker 3: coming just to gamble with me. And then like eight
- 1:50Speaker 3: o'clock hits and you call me, hey, my tooth is broken.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I'm thinking, Hey, you don't have the tone. It's all good.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I'm doing fucking Friday yesterday and I fucking break my
- 1:57Speaker 2: tooth in the back. And uh, I had this great
- 2:00Speaker 2: dentist in town here Steve Wilson, if you ever need
- 2:03Speaker 2: a dentist there in town. So I fly to his place.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He fucking opens his place for me. He gets in
- 2:09Speaker 2: there and whips my tooth back together, and then uh,
- 2:13Speaker 2: I come and meet you and we start going at it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: That was wild. Do you want to do? You want
- 2:17Speaker 1: to talk about numbers and where your.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Situation was, Tell me whatever you want.
- 2:21Speaker 3: So this is this is what I saw, and I
- 2:22Speaker 3: know we talked about it a little bit. But Dana's
- 2:25Speaker 3: rule and you can you can correct me at any
- 2:26Speaker 3: point is you play, you max out the hands, you
- 2:29Speaker 3: win two hands, and you get the fuck out of there. Yep,
- 2:31Speaker 3: no fans or butts about it. That is the rule.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's what you do. So we come in knowing your number,
- 2:36Speaker 1: your number, fighting.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Till you get to that number, and then leaving we
- 2:40Speaker 3: get my number. You go quickly, you get your number,
- 2:43Speaker 3: and then we're sitting there kind of just chatting, hanging out.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I didn't really have a number last night, so I've
- 2:49Speaker 2: been gone, I went out of town for a little while,
- 2:51Speaker 2: and I haven't played in a minute, so I was
- 2:53Speaker 2: excited to get together with him and play fucking round.
- 2:57Speaker 2: We get into a battle with his He didn't know
- 2:59Speaker 2: that I was playing for him when I was playing.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So I'm in this big battle too. Eighty down to eighty,
- 3:05Speaker 2: come all the way back and I went his thirty
- 3:08Speaker 2: and I hand it to him. He's like, oh what, No,
- 3:09Speaker 2: I said, No, I was playing for you. That's you, buddy.
- 3:11Speaker 2: You got it so pump so I had uh. I
- 3:16Speaker 2: started goof around a little bit. I win, I'm up
- 3:19Speaker 2: like eighty ninety one hundred in that ballpark, and uh,
- 3:24Speaker 2: I said, I'm going in again. He's like, he looks
- 3:25Speaker 2: at me. He goes, you're breaking your rule. I go,
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm breaking all the rules tonight.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Did it happen faster than ninety hundred. Happened like fast,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and you're just kind of like, all right, I need.
- 3:33Speaker 2: To nothing really fast. Last night was kind of it was.
- 3:36Speaker 2: It was. It was battleish. I should have read all
- 3:38Speaker 2: the fucking signs that said the gambling gods are telling
- 3:40Speaker 2: you to get the fuck out of here right now.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I didn't listen. I had my conscience over here on
- 3:45Speaker 2: my left side saying, hey, you're breaking the rules. Go in,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and it just fucking you know, we would go, we'd
- 3:51Speaker 2: get a little deep and I get right there and
- 3:54Speaker 2: almost be out. I mean at one point we're like
- 3:56Speaker 2: one hand away and we were out, and and it
- 3:59Speaker 2: was like I couldn't a double down last night to
- 4:01Speaker 2: save my fucking life. And if I got a twenty,
- 4:03Speaker 2: it meant I was gonna lose. I lost every fucking
- 4:07Speaker 2: twenty I got last night. Think about that, losing twenty.
- 4:09Speaker 2: When you get a twenty, you're supposed to be excited.
- 4:11Speaker 2: When I got twenty, I got to a point home
- 4:13Speaker 2: where I said I'm gonna lose his hand.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Right, and then the Mayde showing like a four, and
- 4:16Speaker 3: then like six cards later twenty one the first.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Time doing it around Dana two, like watching it happen.
- 4:21Speaker 1: That was kind of the theme of the night as well.
- 4:23Speaker 1: He's bout, oh, you're gonna fucking beat me anyway, even
- 4:25Speaker 1: though I got nineteen or twenty. That's just how it
- 4:27Speaker 1: works watch Boys. And then he ends up losing. He
- 4:28Speaker 1: gets up pissed off.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Because the funny thing is too mister positive when he
- 4:32Speaker 3: walks in, keep the high energy, keep good, and then
- 4:35Speaker 3: get Denical Herd.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That was like this motherfucker right here.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Go ahead, flip it over here.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there was one guy last night, Tom.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You can you can literally say exactly what they're gonna
- 4:45Speaker 2: do when the cards turned this way. You know what's
- 4:48Speaker 2: gonna happen. Literally everything that I would say would happen.
- 4:52Speaker 2: If I had a fourteen, I'd get to ten. If
- 4:55Speaker 2: I had an eleven, I'd get the four for a
- 4:57Speaker 2: double down, you know what I mean. Just yeah, clockwork.
- 5:00Speaker 3: It was a It was a wild deal to the
- 5:01Speaker 3: point too, where we're pushing seven figures at one point
- 5:04Speaker 3: and down, up, down, and a buffet comes in, like
- 5:09Speaker 3: they literally like rolled in all all the little butler's
- 5:12Speaker 3: roll in with all the food and he takes a
- 5:14Speaker 3: nice little he takes a break, eats his food, and
- 5:16Speaker 3: he's like, I got to get out of here pretty soon.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I can't do the late night because there's a refel
- 5:23Speaker 3: refeel day. Because when I was back here in August
- 5:25Speaker 3: for Power Slap, I was on. I mean, I think
- 5:27Speaker 3: I won seven eight times in a row, and to
- 5:30Speaker 3: the point where it's getting numb that I was like,
- 5:32Speaker 3: I don't think if you're with me, I don't think
- 5:34Speaker 3: I can lose.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And then then there's.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Guys there are the night, different circumstances and I end
- 5:38Speaker 3: up losing a whole bunch of money, and the fact
- 5:40Speaker 3: that you've taken it personal where you're like, we're sitting there,
- 5:43Speaker 3: he's down. You know, we'll say five hundred. I have
- 5:44Speaker 3: no idea what the what the number is. He looks
- 5:46Speaker 3: at me, he goes, how about you down? We kind
- 5:47Speaker 3: of talk about it a little bit, and he goes,
- 5:48Speaker 3: We're going to make back all that money, no problem.
- 5:52Speaker 3: You're in the middle of a war right now. You're
- 5:53Speaker 3: talking about the next war that we got to go
- 5:56Speaker 3: go through.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It's wild.
- 5:57Speaker 3: But the way this all started was us meeting at
- 6:00Speaker 3: the super Bowl and then you're like, hey, you guys
- 6:02Speaker 3: should come out to Power Slap and the explosion that
- 6:05Speaker 3: has happened with Power Slap, Like, how does did you
- 6:07Speaker 3: expect that to go the way it has? You knew
- 6:10Speaker 3: it is obviously going to be successful, but it's gone
- 6:12Speaker 3: to a crazy degree.
- 6:13Speaker 2: At this Scot looked at it, you know, and I
- 6:15Speaker 2: was like, holy fuck, this whole thing doesn't make sense.
- 6:18Speaker 2: How is this pulling these kind of numbers? And then
- 6:20Speaker 2: you start to think, well, what if I did it?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Because I know I'm going to do it better than
- 6:23Speaker 2: anybody else can do it. What would that mean? And
- 6:25Speaker 2: then and then here we are ten months later, and
- 6:28Speaker 2: this thing is a fucking monster. Man, It's just an
- 6:31Speaker 2: absolute monster. And we sit here every day and we
- 6:34Speaker 2: look at the numbers when we when we when we
- 6:39Speaker 2: do an event, whether it was one, two, three, four
- 6:41Speaker 2: or five, and the and the stuff that goes gets
- 6:44Speaker 2: posted socially, it's just we watch it every day. So
- 6:48Speaker 2: it was two days ago, Aj, you know, our little
- 6:53Speaker 2: social media queen that runs all the social media for us,
- 6:56Speaker 2: She's hit me up and she says, uh, yeah, the
- 6:59Speaker 2: Sena post is at one hundred and five million right
- 7:02Speaker 2: now and this was how many weeks ago? Huh three
- 7:06Speaker 2: weeks ago, it's at one hundred and five million. In
- 7:08Speaker 2: three weeks the Sena slap right and we're talking, she goes,
- 7:12Speaker 2: it just went to one hundred and six while we're
- 7:14Speaker 2: on the phone. So then that night we had a
- 7:17Speaker 2: power Slap meeting. It was at one hundred and ten
- 7:20Speaker 2: when we had the meeting that night about Powerslap. So
- 7:22Speaker 2: every fucking day the thing goes up millions millions of us.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Is that where a lot of the money and stuff
- 7:29Speaker 1: is made is through more social so than the viewing
- 7:33Speaker 1: live on rumbo and stuff like that, because I think
- 7:35Speaker 1: a lot of people have like a idea that it's like, oh,
- 7:38Speaker 1: how can it be successful? It's like this isn't that
- 7:40Speaker 1: great of this and that? But obviously through social media, because.
- 7:43Speaker 2: You have no idea what you're doing, and you have
- 7:44Speaker 2: no idea what you're fucking talking about. All these fucking
- 7:46Speaker 2: all you people that are fucking talking shitn't especially the media.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I love the meeting. If the media tells you you've
- 7:53Speaker 2: got something that that's gonna fail, it's definitely gonna fucking win.
- 7:57Speaker 2: The media the dumbest no n nothing, do nothing, never
- 8:02Speaker 2: fucking build nothing motherfuckers on planet Earth. So when they
- 8:05Speaker 2: say it isn't gonna work, you got a fucking home run, man,
- 8:08Speaker 2: You know what I mean, Jump in and grind the
- 8:12Speaker 2: media these guys. Think about who these people are. When
- 8:15Speaker 2: you really think about the media, who are they, Where
- 8:19Speaker 2: did they come from? Why does their opinion matter? What
- 8:22Speaker 2: have they ever done, what have they ever created, what
- 8:25Speaker 2: have they ever built? Who's ever depended on a paycheck
- 8:28Speaker 2: from the media? Nobody. They are a bunch of fucking
- 8:31Speaker 2: zeros that sit around and write stories about people who
- 8:35Speaker 2: are actually doing shit. It's fucking fascinating think about it.
- 8:43Speaker 2: It's not a fascinating concept people who have never done
- 8:46Speaker 2: a fucking thing in their life ever sit around and
- 8:51Speaker 2: write about people who are.
- 8:54Speaker 1: What got you to that?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Who gives a flying fuck what any of those zero
- 9:00Speaker 2: have to say about anything?
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, absolutely fascinating. So anyway, so no, we we
- 9:09Speaker 2: make money off just like any other sports property. We
- 9:12Speaker 2: make money off our television rights, we make money off sponsorship,
- 9:16Speaker 2: we make money off video games, licensing, all that stuff.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I am leaving here when we're done, and I'm striving
- 9:23Speaker 2: straight to for Tita Enterprises, and we're doing a huge
- 9:26Speaker 2: fucking story about power Slap. But that's bj it is
- 9:30Speaker 2: the biggest, baddest sports fucking story of the year that
- 9:34Speaker 2: nobody fucking knows.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I know that that'll be awesome to read about too.
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's like, from the business standpoint, what's been like, I
- 9:41Speaker 1: guess the most exciting thing on making on making that
- 9:44Speaker 1: business work with power Slape because you FC and you
- 9:46Speaker 1: know all these other entertainment businesses, you can kind of
- 9:48Speaker 1: just see the success based on what the public opinion
- 9:52Speaker 1: is on it, right, Like you've got great like pay
- 9:54Speaker 1: per view fights, and everything else, Like, what's been challenging
- 9:57Speaker 1: or what's been fun about building the business of power
- 9:59Speaker 1: Slap since you've ACQUI.
- 10:00Speaker 2: All the things that I love. The negativity, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 2: when people come out and say this thing sucks, this
- 10:08Speaker 2: can't be done, you can't do it. That is the
- 10:10Speaker 2: shit that gets me out of bed every day. And
- 10:13Speaker 2: I love every fucking minute of it. And then the
- 10:17Speaker 2: end result in shoving it right up everybody's ass. I
- 10:20Speaker 2: fucking love every minute of it. Man. It's the fucking
- 10:23Speaker 2: best and the only people I'm really talking to about
- 10:27Speaker 2: this thing. There's some guys out there that are that
- 10:30Speaker 2: we consider friendlies and we do whatever. But the Sports
- 10:32Speaker 2: Business Journal, it's like in the sports world, they are
- 10:35Speaker 2: the you know, it's it's what everybody in the industry reads.
- 10:39Speaker 2: It's what all the sponsors read and everybody else. Monster.
- 10:42Speaker 2: The other thing that's incredible about this product is when
- 10:46Speaker 2: we like even the ads, you know, our sponsors, when
- 10:51Speaker 2: we post something that sponsor driven something, you know, UFC
- 10:55Speaker 2: stuff does like one point seven million views, power slap
- 10:58Speaker 2: does fifteen or sixteen million views. It's like, so right
- 11:02Speaker 2: now this year, year to date on TikTok, we're number
- 11:06Speaker 2: one through seven. Yeah, one through seven, power Flap on
- 11:10Speaker 2: Instagram we're number one. NBA's two and three. Power Slap
- 11:14Speaker 2: is number four, five and six. NBA is like seven
- 11:17Speaker 2: and eight. And put to put it into perspective, the
- 11:19Speaker 2: NBA is eighty million followers. H NFL is thirty million followers.
- 11:24Speaker 2: We just hit two million. We just hit two million followers.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So we've done all this under two million followers.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And yeah, I don't think people understand like how big
- 11:33Speaker 1: of a player. Just the social media platforms are right
- 11:36Speaker 1: because you're talking about all the views and everything else,
- 11:38Speaker 1: and you get you know, the money that's being paid
- 11:40Speaker 1: and the platform that you're given on like TikTok and
- 11:43Speaker 1: everything else. It's like that is where money is, is
- 11:45Speaker 1: where everybody's attention is, and that's where you've done a
- 11:48Speaker 1: great job like capitalizing with the business.
- 11:50Speaker 2: That's not even getting into the fact that we're doing
- 11:53Speaker 2: four hundred and fifty million views in India, ninety million
- 11:57Speaker 2: in Russia. Fuck, And the list just goes on and
- 11:59Speaker 2: on as I pray get into all the different countries.
- 12:01Speaker 2: So it's like when you talk about, you know, people like, well,
- 12:05Speaker 2: how do you monetize how that's what we do. That's
- 12:07Speaker 2: what we do. That's that's that's my specialties. You take these.
- 12:11Speaker 2: You know how many times I've been offered. People will
- 12:13Speaker 2: call me up and say, hey, would you like to
- 12:16Speaker 2: invest in this baseball team? Hey, would you like to
- 12:18Speaker 2: invest in?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Uh?
- 12:20Speaker 2: You know, uh this we were kicked. We're looking at
- 12:22Speaker 2: an NBA team one time, me and the Fetida brothers,
- 12:25Speaker 2: and uh, the answer is no, I don't want anything
- 12:28Speaker 2: to do with that shit. You know what I like.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I like taking fringe sports that people think can't be
- 12:33Speaker 2: built and think can't be and monetizing those and building
- 12:35Speaker 2: them up into you know, the UFC. It's easy for
- 12:38Speaker 2: everybody to look back now and go the UFC. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 2: fucking yeah, if you got into the UFC. When we
- 12:43Speaker 2: got into the UFC, it was power slab. It was
- 12:47Speaker 2: looked at, right, like fucking power slab. It was actually
- 12:49Speaker 2: worse because it was actually illegal in some fucking states, right,
- 12:53Speaker 2: It was actually illegal to do. This is how bad
- 12:56Speaker 2: it was with the UFC. At that time. You as
- 13:00Speaker 2: a grown adult, didn't have the option to buy it
- 13:03Speaker 2: on pay per view. Porn was on pay per view.
- 13:07Speaker 2: The UFC was not allowed on pay per view. That's
- 13:09Speaker 2: how fucking bad it was. So to look at the
- 13:11Speaker 2: UFC now and go, oh, you have, of course two
- 13:13Speaker 2: million dollars for the UFC. Shut the fuck up. You
- 13:16Speaker 2: guys have no idea what you're talking about.
- 13:18Speaker 1: This thingle just hoping, you know, at some point you fail.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And then when they got a little moment to try
- 13:22Speaker 1: and grab it and capitalize on it, right about it
- 13:24Speaker 1: and everything else, it's like, that's the shot everybody tries
- 13:26Speaker 1: to take.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, it gets to a point with me where it's
- 13:29Speaker 2: just like, how many more fucking times are you gonna
- 13:31Speaker 2: doubt me? And what what I'm capable of doing? You know,
- 13:34Speaker 2: we're doing the same thing right now with throw one.
- 13:37Speaker 2: We don't throw one. I've told you guys a million times,
- 13:39Speaker 2: you're this. We own ridiculousness. Nitro Circus SLS Skate League,
- 13:43Speaker 2: Travis Pastrano's nitral Cross and we bought that company like
- 13:48Speaker 2: a little over a year ago, and they're based in California.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I'm building offices over here right now. We're building them out.
- 13:54Speaker 2: These guys will be here in the next couple of
- 13:56Speaker 2: months and I'll be involved in that. I'm already involved
- 13:58Speaker 2: in the daily but we'll be really all than that
- 14:00Speaker 2: in the daily when we when we get it over here,
- 14:02Speaker 2: get it out of California and get it here in Vegas,
- 14:03Speaker 2: and our literally my office connects to their offices. So
- 14:10Speaker 2: we're gonna that's gonna be a really fun project over
- 14:13Speaker 2: the next couple of years.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I've shown them a bunch of interest.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I grew up on Nitro, Circus, Supercross, all that stuff.
- 14:21Speaker 3: That was like the first love of mine before I
- 14:23Speaker 3: got into organized sports.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And all that.
- 14:25Speaker 3: But you talk about the mindset and how your essential
- 14:27Speaker 3: hate for mainstream media, When did you learn about the
- 14:31Speaker 3: ins and outs because obviously, like this has been you've
- 14:33Speaker 3: been in the business forever of these these fringe sports
- 14:36Speaker 3: and making them what they are today. How did you
- 14:38Speaker 3: kind of adapt to the world with Internet and all that, Like,
- 14:42Speaker 3: how did how did your mindset change as you kept going.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Well, I love the Internet, I'm all about I love
- 14:46Speaker 2: that we can talk directly to our fans with no middlemen.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Nothing worse than than trying to, you know, do what
- 14:52Speaker 2: you do and going through a middleman. And uh, you know,
- 14:56Speaker 2: everything that I really do right now is direct to
- 14:59Speaker 2: consume or I go directly to our consumers and talk
- 15:02Speaker 2: to the people that that that want to listen. And realistically,
- 15:07Speaker 2: when you look at it right now, the two most
- 15:09Speaker 2: hated people on the planet right now are the media
- 15:13Speaker 2: and politicians.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody trusts them, nobody likes them. Uh, they know
- 15:20Speaker 2: that most of them are lying. And there's never been
- 15:24Speaker 2: a better time for social media than now. And like
- 15:27Speaker 2: I said, in every way, shape and form and every
- 15:29Speaker 2: business that we own, I talk directly to our consumers.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That's it.
- 15:34Speaker 3: When you you brought up politicians and you're on the
- 15:36Speaker 3: you're on uh this past weekend recently with theovon and
- 15:40Speaker 3: he brought up like an RFK interview I believe it was,
- 15:43Speaker 3: and then a Peloton reached out and said, hey, you
- 15:47Speaker 3: can't have him on there, and you you essentially went
- 15:49Speaker 3: on a rant like you did with us about hating
- 15:51Speaker 3: the mainstream media, how you can't tell people what to do.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Here, tell me.
- 15:54Speaker 3: About that process last night with the Pelotons and all
- 15:56Speaker 3: these other bike companies, Like when did you learn that
- 15:59Speaker 3: you had the hour to essentially take away from people
- 16:02Speaker 3: saying what you can and can't do in your business?
- 16:04Speaker 2: COVID Yeah, I mean I knew it before then but
- 16:06Speaker 2: where really, you know, never, Well, you know, we went
- 16:10Speaker 2: through the whole UFC thing first, Yeah, I mean people,
- 16:14Speaker 2: you know, the mainstream media is shitting all over the
- 16:16Speaker 2: UFC and how it should be banned and this shouldn't
- 16:19Speaker 2: exist and blah blah blah blah blah. Then then here
- 16:21Speaker 2: comes COVID. You got the you know, fucking goofy New
- 16:25Speaker 2: York Times and all these other fucking clowns, uh, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 2: coming out talking shit blasting me every day. They don't matter.
- 16:34Speaker 2: They don't matter, and they don't have the influence or
- 16:37Speaker 2: the power that they think they do. You know, and
- 16:40Speaker 2: you can come out and say whatever you want about me,
- 16:42Speaker 2: and go do whatever you want about me. You you
- 16:47Speaker 2: determine your future, not people like this. It's like that
- 16:51Speaker 2: whole fucking cancel culture bullshit and all this stuff that
- 16:54Speaker 2: goes on. You just just got to say fuck you.
- 16:57Speaker 3: And that seems like you get a thrill out of it. Honestly,
- 17:00Speaker 3: like people trying to come at you is your face.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if I get a thrill out
- 17:03Speaker 2: of it, but it's it's what if you want to
- 17:06Speaker 2: pick a fight with me, let's fucking go.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go. Yeah, taking everything head on. Seems like
- 17:11Speaker 3: you're a way about doing everything that does.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Seem like guys that come out and do these things
- 17:16Speaker 2: that that do these stories on you. Right, Who are you?
- 17:21Speaker 2: What have you done? And are you perfect?
- 17:25Speaker 1: You?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Never fucked up, never made mistakes, got any skeletons in
- 17:29Speaker 2: your closet? Of course they do, you know, of course
- 17:33Speaker 2: they do every We're all fucking human. We've all done
- 17:36Speaker 2: My New Year's Eve ins in it. Fucking did it happened?
- 17:40Speaker 2: No excuses, no fucking you know. I could have tried
- 17:43Speaker 2: to make up tennis. There's no fucking excuse. I did it.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I admit it, I accept it. Now what I gotta
- 17:51Speaker 2: do is I gotta get up every day and I
- 17:53Speaker 2: gotta at the end of the day, you have to
- 17:54Speaker 2: live with you. Fuck everybody else and what their opinion
- 17:58Speaker 2: is of you. You have to know who you are
- 18:01Speaker 2: and you have to be able to live with yourself.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I got three fucking kids that I love more than anything,
- 18:06Speaker 2: you know what I mean, And I embarrass them last
- 18:11Speaker 2: New Year's Eve, I embarrass myself. I embarrass my kids,
- 18:14Speaker 2: you know what I mean. So you got to get
- 18:16Speaker 2: up and you got to look in the fucking mirror,
- 18:18Speaker 2: say I fucked up? And how do I make sure
- 18:22Speaker 2: this never happens again? Ever? And that's it. I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 2: you're you're only You're only fucking uh. You know, the
- 18:30Speaker 2: only one that you have to answer to is yourself
- 18:33Speaker 2: and the people that care about you and love you
- 18:35Speaker 2: and your you know, fuck everybody else.
- 18:39Speaker 1: No, And uh, I think it's I think it's cool
- 18:42Speaker 1: that you're talking about it, because my question is when
- 18:45Speaker 1: you are going through that, like, how difficult was that moment?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Because you're somebody, you'll stand up, you'll stand in the
- 18:52Speaker 1: batter's box, you'll swing with the best of them. You
- 18:54Speaker 1: kind of seem like you can't you can't chip the armor.
- 18:56Speaker 1: But when you're cut, you have these philosophies you go
- 18:59Speaker 1: by because everybody human, like you said, like talk about
- 19:02Speaker 1: those times where it like it is super difficult things
- 19:05Speaker 1: that you lean on. Maybe it's people, maybe it's you
- 19:06Speaker 1: have a mentor maybe it's a circle, maybe it's just
- 19:08Speaker 1: your family. Like talk about the low part.
- 19:11Speaker 2: There's nobody but you you find out who's who and
- 19:14Speaker 2: what's what. When shit hits the fan. I say it
- 19:16Speaker 2: all the time. You know you'll see the people that
- 19:18Speaker 2: will reach out to you see if you're good, and
- 19:21Speaker 2: the people who won't. It's all good whatever, But the
- 19:23Speaker 2: only one that you have to fucking worry about is you,
- 19:26Speaker 2: you yourself, because it's about you. You fucked up? Are you?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Are you willing to fucking accept the fact that you
- 19:33Speaker 2: messed up? And and you have to fix this? You
- 19:36Speaker 2: are the one that has to get up every day
- 19:38Speaker 2: and look in the mirror and say that I that
- 19:40Speaker 2: I do right, that I do wrong? How do I
- 19:42Speaker 2: how do I make myself that every day? I have
- 19:44Speaker 2: this Bruce Lee quote everywhere in my house and the
- 19:47Speaker 2: gym in here and everything about how man every day
- 19:51Speaker 2: when you got out of Basically what this quote says
- 19:53Speaker 2: is every day when you get out of bed, your
- 19:55Speaker 2: your your stride, and your your your game plan should
- 19:58Speaker 2: be to be better than you worry yesterday day right.
- 20:01Speaker 2: And you will have hit plateaus, but you must break
- 20:04Speaker 2: through them and you must succeed to the next level.
- 20:07Speaker 2: And I fucking love that shit. That is exactly how
- 20:10Speaker 2: I live every day of my life, whether it's my
- 20:13Speaker 2: workout now, my health, my business, my relationships, my family.
- 20:19Speaker 2: How do you make sure that you're better than you
- 20:21Speaker 2: were yesterday. And when you get into these situations like
- 20:23Speaker 2: I was in on New Year's Eve, it's like, so
- 20:27Speaker 2: you can do two things. You can run and fucking hide,
- 20:30Speaker 2: curl up in a ball and let the world just
- 20:32Speaker 2: fucking beat you to death. Or you can dig your
- 20:34Speaker 2: fucking heels in you figure out how to you know,
- 20:36Speaker 2: you have to figure out yourself, and then you fucking
- 20:39Speaker 2: you dig in, you fight. I literally the day we
- 20:41Speaker 2: got back from Mexico, I had a quote installed on
- 20:45Speaker 2: my wall. It says, may God have mercy upon my enemies,
- 20:49Speaker 2: because I won't. So let's fucking go.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, it's a gambling creative for at the bus
- 21:00Speaker 1: made God have mercy on the sports. But but you guys,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I won't.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But you've seen these guys, uh, you know who make
- 21:06Speaker 2: mistakes and fuck up and do whatever, and the world
- 21:08Speaker 2: comes after them and they just disappear and they roll
- 21:11Speaker 2: over and they bow down to whatever the fucking the
- 21:14Speaker 2: crowd mentality wants from you. You know what I mean.
- 21:17Speaker 2: We're at the end of the day, we all make mistakes,
- 21:20Speaker 2: and we're all human. But if you know who you
- 21:23Speaker 2: really fucking are, and you you know, you don't have
- 21:26Speaker 2: to explain yourself to the rest of the world. You
- 21:28Speaker 2: have to explain yourself and make things right with the
- 21:30Speaker 2: people that are in your inner circle and that of
- 21:33Speaker 2: your family. But at the end of the day, you
- 21:35Speaker 2: have to fucking stick up for yourself if you believe
- 21:37Speaker 2: in you know what I mean. I see guys that
- 21:40Speaker 2: that take just a little bit of heat and the
- 21:42Speaker 2: fucking wheels come off the bus and they you know that,
- 21:45Speaker 2: they run and hide its building, the UFC going through
- 21:50Speaker 2: COVID building. Slap. I am not the run and hide
- 21:54Speaker 2: fucking guy. Yes, that's just not who I am.
- 21:56Speaker 3: And I will never be moving moving forward like it
- 21:59Speaker 3: seems like that's all you're focused on, is all that
- 22:01Speaker 3: And you've really taken your health like the next level.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You've seen it.
- 22:05Speaker 3: When we first met you at the Super Bowl this
- 22:07Speaker 3: past year, you were showing us photos of you and
- 22:10Speaker 3: Sloppy guy just kind of seem like you're eating whatever,
- 22:13Speaker 3: doing whatever, and you've ever you've been singing it, right,
- 22:16Speaker 3: I mean right photos. I mean he always kind of
- 22:19Speaker 3: a built cat, but you you know there was some background.
- 22:21Speaker 2: You call me sloppy, come on here, yeah, sloppy those photos.
- 22:25Speaker 1: But you talk about Gary bre this podcast, you talk.
- 22:30Speaker 3: About Gary Brecaman and how he has essentially changed your life.
- 22:32Speaker 3: How did you get on board with a guy like that?
- 22:34Speaker 3: How did that whole process happen for you.
- 22:37Speaker 2: It's a girl named Kerry case I don't know if
- 22:38Speaker 2: you guys are probably too young, but Casey Casem used
- 22:40Speaker 2: to have a radio show called Casey Kasem's Top forty.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Every week he broke down the top forty uh songs
- 22:46Speaker 2: in the country. He was also the voice for Scooby
- 22:49Speaker 2: Doo No Shaggy Shaggy on Scooby Doo and uh, you know.
- 22:53Speaker 2: His daughter and I have been friends for for for
- 22:55Speaker 2: many years and she's, uh, she's hardcore, but she's kind
- 23:00Speaker 2: of a hippie, you know what I mean. She says
- 23:01Speaker 2: into all the holistic shit. I didn't believe in that
- 23:03Speaker 2: stuff two years ago. I thought it was all a
- 23:04Speaker 2: crock of shit. Now it's all I believe in. I'm
- 23:09Speaker 2: one of these guys. Show me, prove it to me.
- 23:14Speaker 2: You're telling me that it's this way, but you have
- 23:16Speaker 2: to prove it to me. So I finally decide to
- 23:19Speaker 2: hook up with this guy because he was doing IVS.
- 23:22Speaker 2: My son. We went down to Miami, for his twenty
- 23:25Speaker 2: first birthday, so we needed IV people because we're down
- 23:27Speaker 2: there doing whatever. And he comes in with his team
- 23:31Speaker 2: and he does my blood work. When he walked me
- 23:34Speaker 2: through my blood work, guy had no medical history on
- 23:36Speaker 2: me or my family or anything. He told me everything
- 23:39Speaker 2: that was wrong with me, and he told me what
- 23:41Speaker 2: was wrong with my parents, and he was dead on right,
- 23:44Speaker 2: and it was a really trippy experience. And he basically said,
- 23:48Speaker 2: if you listen to me for the next twelve weeks,
- 23:50Speaker 2: I'll change your whole life. And I was like, I
- 23:53Speaker 2: can do anything for twelve weeks, so I went in.
- 23:56Speaker 2: It didn't even take twelve weeks, and four weeks I
- 23:58Speaker 2: started to feel different order to feel better, and some
- 24:01Speaker 2: of the things that were wrong when me started to
- 24:02Speaker 2: go away and all this other shit, and then I'm
- 24:05Speaker 2: so in on this right now. This guy called me
- 24:07Speaker 2: right now said fucking squirt hot sauce in your eyes,
- 24:10Speaker 2: and you know I would fucking do it right. Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 2: This guy is a genius and I've seen him help
- 24:16Speaker 2: not just me, but so many other people, including people
- 24:18Speaker 2: that are close to me. So he is the real
- 24:20Speaker 2: fucking deal. And again, you go out on the internet
- 24:23Speaker 2: and you hear other people, you know whatever, talk about
- 24:25Speaker 2: this guy's a scam artists and this camera. Okay, then
- 24:29Speaker 2: don't do it right. Everybody's fucking telling you to fucking
- 24:32Speaker 2: do this. Go see your doctor. That fucking works out
- 24:35Speaker 2: for you. Good luck to you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because you had a uh you had a
- 24:38Speaker 1: video recently too. Uh hey listen, not a doctor. I'm
- 24:41Speaker 1: not telling you guys do this, do that, whatever. But
- 24:43Speaker 1: you did this waterfast and now I'm fascinated from this waterfast.
- 24:46Speaker 1: What was eighty six I did.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Eighty six hours, but it's a seventy two hour fast
- 24:51Speaker 2: and uh, basically it's all water. So this is actually
- 24:54Speaker 2: this was done by doctors. They they've got studies that
- 24:57Speaker 2: are done on this out of Boston where if you
- 25:01Speaker 2: water fast for seven days, it gives you an over
- 25:04Speaker 2: seventy percent chance of not getting cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and
- 25:09Speaker 2: many many other nasty shit. They've they've done a study
- 25:13Speaker 2: in animals and humans. So I talked to Gary about it,
- 25:15Speaker 2: and Gary's like, it's absolutely legit, but you don't have
- 25:20Speaker 2: to do seven days. You can do seventy two hours.
- 25:23Speaker 2: And you walk me through how to do it and
- 25:26Speaker 2: what's crazy about is when you do it, you get
- 25:28Speaker 2: absolutely fucking shredded. You get so ripped.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I saw the before and after, but that's.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Not even what it's about. It's about the inside is
- 25:36Speaker 2: what you're doing for. So you know, there's all these
- 25:38Speaker 2: philosophies and listen again, I'm no doctor and whatever. I
- 25:40Speaker 2: just regurgitate what I'm told. And this was from the
- 25:44Speaker 2: doctors from from Boston. So it's like cold plunging. When
- 25:48Speaker 2: you go in into cold plunging, you put your body
- 25:50Speaker 2: through adversity. Right, you're in fifty degree water for three minutes.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Your body starts to think it's dying, and your body
- 25:56Speaker 2: fights back. So your liver secretes this shock protein that's
- 26:01Speaker 2: incredible for your body, inflammation, anti age, all kinds of shit. Right,
- 26:05Speaker 2: you do that every day, you become absolutely addicted to it.
- 26:08Speaker 2: So when you do the water fast, basically what happens
- 26:11Speaker 2: is when you stop eating, your body starts trying to
- 26:14Speaker 2: defend itself. Are we starving? Are we this? Are we that?
- 26:17Speaker 2: So it starts shedding all the bad dead cells in
- 26:20Speaker 2: your body and it starts generating new cells, and it
- 26:24Speaker 2: starts to fight. Are we gonna starve? Are we going
- 26:26Speaker 2: to this that, and that's how it fights cancer and
- 26:29Speaker 2: all these other nasty illnesses. How does that not make sense?
- 26:33Speaker 2: And then when you talk about fasting and you talk
- 26:35Speaker 2: about where we come from and how we've evolved, right
- 26:38Speaker 2: back in the day, they would go out and hunt
- 26:41Speaker 2: and kill something. Right, there was no refrigeration, there was
- 26:44Speaker 2: no freezer. You went back and you ate the food
- 26:47Speaker 2: and you didn't eat again until you hunt it again. Yeah, right,
- 26:50Speaker 2: So these people would essentially fast until they hunted again.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And and eight, how does that not make sense either?
- 26:58Speaker 2: And when you're sitting on the couch on a podcast
- 27:02Speaker 2: and you're fucking talking about this, you're like Jesus Christ,
- 27:05Speaker 2: I don't know if I could not eat for seventy
- 27:07Speaker 2: two hours, I mean two years Dana, two years ago
- 27:10Speaker 2: would have said, that's fucking ridiculous. Why would I not
- 27:13Speaker 2: eat for three fucking days unless not without a deserted
- 27:15Speaker 2: island or something, you know. And then once you do it,
- 27:18Speaker 2: the level of clarity that you get it's fucking And
- 27:23Speaker 2: I hate even saying this in front of people, let
- 27:26Speaker 2: alone on a fucking podcast, because I sound like a
- 27:29Speaker 2: fucking hippie. But you get into this, like zen state
- 27:34Speaker 2: you fork like fucking I don't know, man, I don't
- 27:37Speaker 2: know how to explain it. You have to do it
- 27:39Speaker 2: to believe it. But fucking Erica did it too. A
- 27:41Speaker 2: lot of the people here now at UFC are doing that,
- 27:43Speaker 2: are doing this.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Do you like it?
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:46Speaker 1: For first twenty four.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Hours she just got off it too. I mean yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 2: So I don't want to throw her personal shit out there,
- 27:55Speaker 2: but her weight, her whole life, she's been at a
- 27:58Speaker 2: certain weight. When she did this, she broke the weight,
- 28:01Speaker 2: the lowest weight she's ever been as a woman. Yeah,
- 28:04Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 28:05Speaker 1: The barrier, how's the first twenty four hours?
- 28:08Speaker 2: The first twenty it was. It was good for me
- 28:10Speaker 2: because I I do the internet fasting anyway, So I've
- 28:14Speaker 2: gone like I when I fly, I do the whole
- 28:16Speaker 2: Gary berecast system when I fly now too. So when
- 28:18Speaker 2: you fly like I went to Australia, I went to
- 28:20Speaker 2: Abu Dhabi, I just did it to New York. You
- 28:22Speaker 2: don't eat, you fast on the plane. And there's these
- 28:24Speaker 2: hydrogen uh bottle water things that that that turn your water,
- 28:29Speaker 2: you know, your your bottle water into hydrogen water and
- 28:32Speaker 2: you just drink that the whole way and then when
- 28:34Speaker 2: you land you adjust to the time zone. It's fucking incredible.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I've done it three times now in crazy flights and it.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Out where you're not getting the uh the jet leg m, so.
- 28:44Speaker 2: You don't get jet leg Yeah, and is it like
- 28:47Speaker 2: a machine that I've been doing it?
- 28:48Speaker 1: You put it in there.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I just now I just bought one that's a leader.
- 28:51Speaker 2: These ones were small ones. Now I got the leader. Yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 2: This is how fucking crazy end of this shit I am.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it seems like you were telling me about your
- 28:57Speaker 3: routine that you go through on a daily basis.
- 28:59Speaker 2: You do it like religion, religiously, religiously, and I feel
- 29:01Speaker 2: like I'm fucking in my twenties again.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Man, guy, you got the jew You definitely got the energy.
- 29:06Speaker 1: We started this podcast off.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Well, yeah, and you were with me half the night
- 29:11Speaker 2: last night playing fucking cards. And I was back in
- 29:13Speaker 2: here this morning and I'll be back in here tomorrow.
- 29:15Speaker 1: What time do you get up this morning?
- 29:17Speaker 2: Well, I slept in late today. I got up at
- 29:19Speaker 2: seven thirty, so I slept late.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He walked out of at the Red Side.
- 29:25Speaker 3: And it's like non negotiable. It's like, what are your
- 29:27Speaker 3: non negotiables? In the morning for somebody who's listening being like,
- 29:30Speaker 3: I love the energy a livery's at.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Yeah, what are the little.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Things I can do now just for me to kind
- 29:34Speaker 3: of be better.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I have the the pad in my bed that alkaline
- 29:38Speaker 2: iss your body. I come straight here. I do the
- 29:40Speaker 2: cold plunge, I do the steam, I do the oxygen therapy,
- 29:43Speaker 2: I do the red light, and then I do my workout.
- 29:46Speaker 2: And on the days, because I work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
- 29:50Speaker 2: and then I don't work out again till Saturday. And
- 29:52Speaker 2: then every day is recovery, So I do recovery every
- 29:55Speaker 2: single day. So on days that I work out and
- 29:58Speaker 2: do recovery, it's two hours of my morning, and then
- 30:00Speaker 2: on days that I just recover, it's one hour of
- 30:02Speaker 2: my morning.
- 30:03Speaker 3: So when you if you're somebody listening to this podcast
- 30:05Speaker 3: falling on a budget, are what's like the number one
- 30:08Speaker 3: thing to you? If you're like, if you want to
- 30:10Speaker 3: just change one thing and do it consistently, what would
- 30:12Speaker 3: that be?
- 30:12Speaker 2: And that is the hard part, and it's the thing
- 30:14Speaker 2: that kills me is because I talk about this so much,
- 30:17Speaker 2: because I want to share this with other people, and
- 30:20Speaker 2: I want people that are listening to know when you're
- 30:23Speaker 2: seeing that doctor and the shit that you're telling him
- 30:25Speaker 2: is wrong with you and they can't fix it, and
- 30:28Speaker 2: it never gets better, but they just keep adding more
- 30:30Speaker 2: and more pills to your fucking pile that you're taking,
- 30:33Speaker 2: and it makes you feel even shittier. There is hope
- 30:36Speaker 2: you don't have to feel this way. There are and
- 30:39Speaker 2: there's other guys out there, like Gary Breca. Right, there's
- 30:42Speaker 2: a guy. Will you go grab that book that's on
- 30:45Speaker 2: my counter, you know the one I'm talking about right,
- 30:47Speaker 2: the books that I have. Nicole has one bringing in
- 30:50Speaker 2: here cause people that can't afford Gary Breca. I always
- 30:53Speaker 2: tell people to watch Gary's podcast. He's at Gary Breca
- 30:57Speaker 2: on Instagram and another guy that Joe's had on that.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Everybody tells me this book is incredible, and I buy
- 31:05Speaker 2: this book and I give it to people, and I
- 31:07Speaker 2: do this because I want to share this with with people.
- 31:10Speaker 2: But like like the pad that I put in my bed,
- 31:12Speaker 2: Gary says, you take your shoes off and you walk
- 31:13Speaker 2: in the grass and it's electricity exactly from from from
- 31:17Speaker 2: the Earth's and and then and then, uh, if you
- 31:19Speaker 2: don't have a cold plunch, jump in your fucking pool
- 31:21Speaker 2: when it's cold out, or or put some ice in
- 31:23Speaker 2: a bucket, uh, you know, in a barrel in cold plunch,
- 31:27Speaker 2: cold shower, all these type of things that you can do.
- 31:30Speaker 2: The red light therapy, get out in the sun even
- 31:33Speaker 2: when it's cold out. Gary always talks about first sun
- 31:35Speaker 2: in the morning is the best. And you know this.
- 31:38Speaker 2: So there's alternatives like this, and then there's this book.
- 31:41Speaker 2: This book is called Outlive. I'm gonna give everybody in
- 31:44Speaker 2: here one too. I just bought ten more. I never
- 31:47Speaker 2: met this guy, don't know this guy. I make no
- 31:51Speaker 2: money off the shit. I make no money off any
- 31:53Speaker 2: of the ship and in fact, I pay Gary Brecca.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Uh full boat. Okay, I'm telling you this, and I'm
- 32:01Speaker 2: saying this to you because you can tell that it's
- 32:03Speaker 2: I'm super passionate about it and it's real. It works.
- 32:05Speaker 2: But this is called Outlive, the Science of Art in
- 32:08Speaker 2: the Art of Longevity. Peter Atia sorry if I'm butchering
- 32:13Speaker 2: your name, buddy, Peter Atiya, MD. Everybody tells me that
- 32:17Speaker 2: this book is incredible, and even Gary. That's the other
- 32:20Speaker 2: thing that I love about Gary Breca. Gary Brekat doesn't
- 32:22Speaker 2: shit on other people and go no, no, no, only
- 32:25Speaker 2: my stuff will do this. Gary's like, this guy is brilliant,
- 32:28Speaker 2: this guy's good, and this guy knows exactly what he's
- 32:30Speaker 2: talking about. Gary is that type of guy. So there
- 32:33Speaker 2: you go outlive. If you can't afford to do a
- 32:36Speaker 2: lot of this stuff, check out Gary's podcast and his
- 32:39Speaker 2: stuff and read Outlive by Peter Atiya.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I think this is a lot about Breca, the way
- 32:44Speaker 3: he doesn't the way he say he doesn't talk about
- 32:45Speaker 3: other people. I've worked with some people like doing the
- 32:47Speaker 3: blood work and all that, trying to stay ahead of
- 32:49Speaker 3: the chains with football, and it seemed like most of
- 32:51Speaker 3: the people I worked with, if I brought up somebody else,
- 32:54Speaker 3: they're like, no, fuck that guy, because everyone at the
- 32:56Speaker 3: end of the day is trying to make money as well.
- 32:58Speaker 3: But I hear breck on you know the Rogan podcasts,
- 33:00Speaker 3: and you think about the rivalries within the game that
- 33:03Speaker 3: people are living, and he talks about Andrew Heuberman, He's like,
- 33:05Speaker 3: guy's awesome. Guy understands his shit, like he knows what
- 33:08Speaker 3: he's doing. So that says that probably says a lot
- 33:10Speaker 3: about him.
- 33:10Speaker 2: The first thing, honestly, other than when this guy started
- 33:13Speaker 2: walking through the blood work. First thing I noticed about
- 33:16Speaker 2: him other doctors, and he says, listen, it's not listen
- 33:20Speaker 2: when doctors go they don't study human biology the way
- 33:23Speaker 2: that they used to and everything else. He works with
- 33:25Speaker 2: doctors to work everybody who has other opinions. He's like, no,
- 33:28Speaker 2: that's it. He doesn't shit on anybody ever, Like, no, no, no,
- 33:32Speaker 2: not that guy. My way. Gary is the exact opposite.
- 33:35Speaker 2: It's one of the things that I extremely respect about
- 33:38Speaker 2: the guy. Yeah, so he speaks very highly of this guy.
- 33:42Speaker 3: When you talk about Breca and he gave you like
- 33:45Speaker 3: when you're essentially gonna die, he said you had like
- 33:47Speaker 3: ten eleven years to live.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Ten point four.
- 33:49Speaker 3: What was like your first thought when you heard that,
- 33:52Speaker 3: was it still in your mind, this is the guy's
- 33:53Speaker 3: a load of shit, like you have to show me?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Or was that like the wake up thing.
- 33:57Speaker 2: No, it wasn't a wake up because I wasn't a
- 33:59Speaker 2: believer yet make me believe then I'll say, oh shit,
- 34:02Speaker 2: I got ten years left. So then after I started
- 34:04Speaker 2: doing his stuff, you know, you know what, I believe.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I believe I didn't have that line. I think Gary
- 34:08Speaker 2: was being nice. I don't think I had ten point
- 34:11Speaker 2: four years I was fucking bad, and I think that,
- 34:14Speaker 2: you know, there might be a lot of people out
- 34:16Speaker 2: there listening right now that you know, when you're a
- 34:19Speaker 2: man and you got shit going on with you, fucking
- 34:23Speaker 2: deal with it.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Boohoo.
- 34:25Speaker 2: My fucking legs are fucked up by this. That try
- 34:27Speaker 2: to talk to a doctor, that don't fix you. It's
- 34:28Speaker 2: just like, there's two things. Number one, I'm a man.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I gotta do what I gotta do. I gotta get
- 34:32Speaker 2: up every day and deal with life. Yeah, number one.
- 34:35Speaker 2: And number two, maybe this is how fucking fifty feels.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I'm fifty, now, this is how fifty feels. It must be,
- 34:40Speaker 2: you know, that's what you start to think. It is
- 34:42Speaker 2: the furthest thing from the truth. And now I tell
- 34:45Speaker 2: Gary all the time, I'm like, I feel fucking incredible.
- 34:48Speaker 2: I feel twenty. And he's like, no, you don't. You don't,
- 34:50Speaker 2: you don't feel incredible. This is what normal feels like.
- 34:53Speaker 2: This isn't incredible. This is normal. This is what you're
- 34:55Speaker 2: supposed to feel like. And it's all fascinating. He's a
- 34:59Speaker 2: fascinating dude. I hope that this dude lives to be
- 35:01Speaker 2: a fucking hundred because a lot of people need him.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a book called Lifespan where a guy talks
- 35:07Speaker 3: about that, like if you can do fasting and do
- 35:09Speaker 3: basic things like and you can start to feel that
- 35:11Speaker 3: normally you're talking about like one hundred, one hundred and
- 35:13Speaker 3: ten is like the essentially the new seventy, and like
- 35:17Speaker 3: so on and so forth.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Seventy is the new forty and all that.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Well, if you look at the generation before us, right,
- 35:22Speaker 2: you got Clint Eastwood right now, that's fucking ninety three
- 35:24Speaker 2: years old.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Still doing it. He's a mayor of a town, still
- 35:27Speaker 1: doing well.
- 35:27Speaker 2: He was still doing still making movies, still doing his thing.
- 35:32Speaker 2: You got Gene Hackman still alive. I don't know the
- 35:34Speaker 2: state of Gene Ackman. I haven't seen him in a while,
- 35:36Speaker 2: but he's in his fucking nineties. He's still alive. Bob Aram,
- 35:39Speaker 2: I hate this motherfucker. Right, let me tell you about
- 35:44Speaker 2: Bob Aram. You go back and research anything about Bob
- 35:47Speaker 2: Ahram and me talking about him. I can't stand him. Whatever,
- 35:50Speaker 2: I have to give him the respect. I'm at the
- 35:54Speaker 2: Aces playoffs, so that the the WNBA champions, the Las
- 35:58Speaker 2: Vegas Aces. I'm at the I'm a playoff game. It's
- 36:01Speaker 2: eight thirty at night. Now, you got to pull up
- 36:04Speaker 2: to the stadium in the back, and you gotta walk
- 36:05Speaker 2: quite away. I look over across the thing. It's eight thirty.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Bob fucking Aram is sitting at the fucking ninety one,
- 36:13Speaker 2: ninety two years old at the Aces game. I'm like,
- 36:15Speaker 2: you gotta be shitting me right. A week later, he's
- 36:20Speaker 2: in fucking Saudi Arabia watching the fucking fights in Saudi Arabia.
- 36:26Speaker 2: He's ninety fucking two years old.
- 36:28Speaker 1: He's moving around.
- 36:28Speaker 2: You gotta you gotta respect it.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You gotta respect it right. Respect.
- 36:33Speaker 2: But I'm saying, these guys from this generation now are
- 36:35Speaker 2: already living into their nineties and flying to fucking Saudi
- 36:39Speaker 2: Arabia to watch fights.
- 36:40Speaker 1: How long are you trying to live?
- 36:41Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck how long I live. I
- 36:43Speaker 2: want to quality of life. I want a good quality
- 36:47Speaker 2: of You know what I don't want to Hey, Dana
- 36:50Speaker 2: is eighty six. He's still alive. Fuck, I'm sitting in
- 36:52Speaker 2: a wheelchairs rooling on myself in the living room, you
- 36:54Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 36:55Speaker 1: Eighty six at the high rollers.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I want to get yeah, boys working on his eight
- 37:01Speaker 2: point three million dollars that we've won over the last
- 37:03Speaker 2: fucking twenty years.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Let's fucking go with that. I can get on board
- 37:06Speaker 1: with that. What's the lowest you've ever been?
- 37:08Speaker 2: Down the most?
- 37:09Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, that's a quick turn positively, you know.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Yeah, he's the worst you've ever felt in your life?
- 37:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good it's a good question though.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Two million two Yeah.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Did you bounce back from it or that's what you
- 37:20Speaker 1: walked away? Maybe you came back from something lower?
- 37:22Speaker 2: Is Hunter here? Pull him in here? If he's in here?
- 37:26Speaker 3: I would love Hunter to be on this podcast though.
- 37:28Speaker 3: He's such a legend.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yeah, just stays behind the scene, Yeah, behind the scenes,
- 37:32Speaker 1: insappearance every now and then.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Walle Hunter's coming. How much of a factor is Hunter
- 37:38Speaker 3: in this business? The way he operates and everything behind So.
- 37:40Speaker 2: You want to know something fucking crazy? He was an
- 37:42Speaker 2: intern here, No ship, Hunter was an intern. He was
- 37:45Speaker 2: an intern in like what department? Like, uh legal and
- 37:48Speaker 2: uh yeah legal. He's a lawyer. Yeah, so he interned
- 37:53Speaker 2: here when he when he was in college a young kid,
- 37:56Speaker 2: and then he became a lawyer and then he ended
- 37:59Speaker 2: up becoming my lawyer there, and then when we sold
- 38:02Speaker 2: the company I had to bring you know, I brought
- 38:05Speaker 2: him in as a is he here, he's not here.
- 38:09Speaker 1: It's a bad luck. It's a bad I really wanted
- 38:11Speaker 1: him to. I'll give you that.
- 38:14Speaker 2: We talk about how oh he is here? Oh okay,
- 38:18Speaker 2: I was gonna say, we're talking about Grady is and
- 38:19Speaker 2: he's not at work today. And then he ended up
- 38:24Speaker 2: becoming my lawyer. And uh, when we sold the company,
- 38:28Speaker 2: I was sort of rebuilding the executive team in a
- 38:32Speaker 2: few spots and I brought him into to be my
- 38:34Speaker 2: right hand man. Yeah, and he's fucking awesome. Not you know,
- 38:38Speaker 2: he's great and what he does, but he's he's one
- 38:40Speaker 2: of my close friends. Now, I'm very good friend.
- 38:43Speaker 3: He seems like he seems like the perfect yang to
- 38:45Speaker 3: your yang because you obviously it's.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, what what you
- 38:49Speaker 2: can have here is to me, you know what I mean.
- 38:52Speaker 2: So Lorenzo for Tita and I balanced each other out.
- 38:57Speaker 2: I needed I need to that other side of the
- 39:00Speaker 2: kale to balance out, to keep way that I am.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Right, because you're you're you're a thrill seeker, you're competitive,
- 39:07Speaker 3: you you're fighting a good fight. Hunters a lot that way. Too,
- 39:10Speaker 3: from what I've seen, but he has more of he
- 39:14Speaker 3: seems more cautious in a lot of ways. In the
- 39:16Speaker 3: simple simplest fact is when we get to the analytical
- 39:21Speaker 3: because we'll sit there able to hey, you man, you play,
- 39:22Speaker 3: and I mean I know he will. He's well off
- 39:25Speaker 3: and he does his thing. He's like no, he's like,
- 39:26Speaker 3: I'd rather own a casino than play the game. And
- 39:29Speaker 3: every time I play, he's like, you're a fucking idiot,
- 39:31Speaker 3: Like what are you doing? And I kind of feel
- 39:32Speaker 3: bad about myself for a little bit. I'm like, no,
- 39:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep playing though, We're gonna We're gonna keep
- 39:36Speaker 3: this thing rolling. But he's a he's an awesome cat.
- 39:39Speaker 2: I A casino is Uh, You've got to go through
- 39:43Speaker 2: a lot of bullshit to try to casino, and you should.
- 39:46Speaker 2: You should, So being fuck that ship. I want nothing
- 39:49Speaker 2: to do with that bullshit. That's like a running for office.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So basically, the government can come into your house at
- 39:55Speaker 2: any point in time, go through your safe, go through
- 39:58Speaker 2: your phone, go through all your personal fucking records. You know,
- 40:01Speaker 2: all this shit the game. What people don't realize is
- 40:04Speaker 2: the gaming industry is incredibly regulated by the government, you
- 40:08Speaker 2: know what I mean. So when you go in there,
- 40:11Speaker 2: like some nights, when you're in there, you would feel
- 40:13Speaker 2: like I always talk about this back in the wild
- 40:15Speaker 2: wild West. You have played enough now to see that
- 40:19Speaker 2: sometimes when these fucking cards flip, you're like, how is
- 40:23Speaker 2: this even fucking numerically possible that this could fucking happen
- 40:28Speaker 2: this way? So, but I think back in the cowboy days,
- 40:30Speaker 2: when guys were really fucking stupid and had no education,
- 40:33Speaker 2: hot headed, everybody carried fucking guns. Imagine being a dealer
- 40:36Speaker 2: or a casino owner back in those days, and you
- 40:39Speaker 2: see these cards flipping the way that people had to
- 40:41Speaker 2: die back then, you guys I fucking dealer because they
- 40:48Speaker 2: thought they were cheating. It's impossible. But the reality is
- 40:51Speaker 2: when you play these games and the way these cards flip,
- 40:53Speaker 2: it is the most regulated ship in this country. All
- 40:57Speaker 2: these games are square and on the up and up
- 40:59Speaker 2: and and all the cameras and the government is paying
- 41:02Speaker 2: attention to everything. It's very, very regulated. So to get
- 41:06Speaker 2: a license in gaming, you gotta go through hell.
- 41:09Speaker 3: It's not that's not worth your time. Fuck that, you're
- 41:12Speaker 3: you're more build brands, sell them, move on.
- 41:14Speaker 2: On the guy's not at the table. I would rather
- 41:17Speaker 2: play against you. Yeah, it's it's just my thing. It's
- 41:19Speaker 2: what I love to do. And you know, you have
- 41:21Speaker 2: people Black Hunter and many other people like, why the
- 41:25Speaker 2: fuck does this guy? You doesn't need to get because
- 41:27Speaker 2: I like it. That's fucking Whyney business other than I
- 41:31Speaker 2: like every night exactly, It's what I like to do.
- 41:36Speaker 3: When's the last time you didn't bet a max bet
- 41:38Speaker 3: and black jack?
- 41:40Speaker 2: It's just it doesn't exist. Oh, he counts cards, he
- 41:46Speaker 2: does this, he does that. I bet the same fucking
- 41:48Speaker 2: amount every hand. I bet the max every hand.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't just bet the max every hand. You're
- 41:53Speaker 3: also a psychopath the way I was watching you, because essentially,
- 41:56Speaker 3: when you get down the way you were last night,
- 41:57Speaker 3: you have to rely on the doubles and the splits
- 42:00Speaker 3: to get you back on track. And there was a
- 42:02Speaker 3: couple of times, you know, we're looking at a pair
- 42:04Speaker 3: of twos versus a king and you're like, fuck it
- 42:06Speaker 3: in the classical light, let's gamble, and then you're doubling
- 42:08Speaker 3: whatever going after it, and it obviously worked in your favor.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Is it just a feel thing though?
- 42:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just you have to mix it up. You know,
- 42:15Speaker 2: when we're in this we're in this fucking loop that
- 42:18Speaker 2: we were in last night. I was it true? Is
- 42:22Speaker 2: it not true? That I would tell you what was
- 42:24Speaker 2: going to happen? So we were just talking about before
- 42:26Speaker 2: it fucking happened, I told you what was going to happen.
- 42:28Speaker 2: So you know, yes, for the most part, you played
- 42:32Speaker 2: by the book, but overall you play by your gut,
- 42:36Speaker 2: and there's times when you have to do shit that
- 42:38Speaker 2: doesn't make sense because nothing is making sense when you
- 42:41Speaker 2: have the amount of twenties that we had last night
- 42:45Speaker 2: and we won none of them. When you have the
- 42:47Speaker 2: amount of double downs that we had and we won
- 42:50Speaker 2: none of them. If I had a fourteen, I was
- 42:53Speaker 2: absolutely positively getting the fucking ten. If I had an eleven,
- 42:57Speaker 2: we're absolutely getting the four, right right, I mean all night,
- 43:00Speaker 2: So when that kind of goofy shit is happening over
- 43:02Speaker 2: and at fucking one point, I don't know if you
- 43:05Speaker 2: remember this, but uh, fucking what's his name? Orlando? Yeah?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Played right, John Orlando played, He got fucking murdered. Then
- 43:17Speaker 2: we started playing. We got the same fucking hands that
- 43:20Speaker 2: Orlando got, the same cards, same up against. Everything was
- 43:25Speaker 2: exactly the same. Yeah, like we were fucking caught in
- 43:27Speaker 2: the matrix and it was a it was a fucking
- 43:29Speaker 2: glitch and the matrix it was fucking crazy.
- 43:31Speaker 3: There was he started playing. And sometimes you play where
- 43:34Speaker 3: you just have the cards down. I don't know if
- 43:35Speaker 3: you just enjoy it more the thrill of everybody else
- 43:37Speaker 3: washing and no one know what's going on. And I
- 43:39Speaker 3: would was sitting right next to him, like well, I
- 43:41Speaker 3: could see the cards and he'd have six, like a
- 43:44Speaker 3: two and a four, and the dealer would be showing
- 43:46Speaker 3: a four, and he would just stay no hit, no
- 43:49Speaker 3: rhyme or reason, and then the dealer would bust And
- 43:51Speaker 3: is the crazy the goofy shit you're talking about? So
- 43:53Speaker 3: as you're taking that ten, all of a sudden.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Dead on, you're fucking absolute. So when you're in this
- 43:58Speaker 2: fucking loop and this ship's go went on, I have
- 44:00Speaker 2: the second.
- 44:01Speaker 1: He gets the crazy.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Every time you hit that six, right, it's a four
- 44:06Speaker 2: to two, right you hit it, it's the fucking ten.
- 44:11Speaker 2: So most of the time when ship's going goofy, I
- 44:14Speaker 2: will stay on the six. I will stay on you know,
- 44:16Speaker 2: hands like that, and the dealer normally, but how many
- 44:20Speaker 2: how many times you see it last night. I think
- 44:22Speaker 2: it was probably exactly five or six, and I think
- 44:24Speaker 2: I lost one.
- 44:26Speaker 3: And the ones you won then just stay on six.
- 44:29Speaker 3: It was kind of like a look at this fucking
- 44:30Speaker 3: move and the one you lost you kind of flip it, but.
- 44:33Speaker 2: The dealers will flip it over and go what Yeah, Yeah, it.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Was so in the moment. He's doing his mannerisms at
- 44:39Speaker 1: the table too, with the card swipe and everything else.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 3: And the thing that here's what blows me away about
- 44:45Speaker 3: you is we've had conversations about people when other situations
- 44:50Speaker 3: have happened, and ESPNS and these other companies are calling
- 44:52Speaker 3: you saying we want this guy out, and you're like,
- 44:55Speaker 3: all right, then we're out that type of how did
- 44:57Speaker 3: you become an individual or have you always been like
- 44:59Speaker 3: the where you're choosing people over business because you meet
- 45:03Speaker 3: people with money and there's a level of narcissism or
- 45:07Speaker 3: something where they are so solely focused on their success
- 45:11Speaker 3: that they don't care about other people's success, and it
- 45:13Speaker 3: seems like you were the exact opposite. I've been at
- 45:15Speaker 3: the table with you where you've handed me money. Just
- 45:17Speaker 3: last night's perfect example. Kyle from the Milk boys, he's
- 45:19Speaker 3: down fifty, you're fucking around, you're on a hot streak.
- 45:22Speaker 3: You're like, hey give me thirty, bing bang boom, here
- 45:23Speaker 3: here's thirty. And you kind of do that ware like
- 45:26Speaker 3: what is that company? Has that always been you? Or
- 45:28Speaker 3: is it because you're the position you're in now and
- 45:29Speaker 3: you understand people.
- 45:30Speaker 2: I don't ever choose money over people ever. Ever. I
- 45:39Speaker 2: don't know how to explain it, but I will never choose.
- 45:41Speaker 2: It's just like, you know, this business, The best example
- 45:44Speaker 2: I can give you is going through COVID is no
- 45:47Speaker 2: matter what goes on, we're going to go through a
- 45:49Speaker 2: lot of hard times. We went through the uh you know,
- 45:51Speaker 2: the crash in eight nine. There's been other things that
- 45:55Speaker 2: have happened in our business going up with one year
- 45:57Speaker 2: we had every fucking main event and fall out or
- 46:01Speaker 2: comain event with injuries and it was a rough pay
- 46:04Speaker 2: per view year. And you know, we've had times that
- 46:07Speaker 2: back in the day when we didn't know if we
- 46:08Speaker 2: were going to break covenants and shit like that. We
- 46:11Speaker 2: never laid our people off. I will fucking I look
- 46:15Speaker 2: at every day when I get up out of bed
- 46:16Speaker 2: and I go to work, I'm going to war there's
- 46:19Speaker 2: people coming to fucking take shots at us and try
- 46:22Speaker 2: to take us down, whether it's the fucking media or
- 46:25Speaker 2: these people. Of those people and all these people that
- 46:27Speaker 2: are in this building strap up and go to battle
- 46:30Speaker 2: with me every day. So the UFC is this fucking battleship, right,
- 46:35Speaker 2: and we're cruising and we're fighting the fight every day.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Some people have been here for ten, fifteen, twenty years, right,
- 46:42Speaker 2: And COVID was the perfect example because we've never found
- 46:48Speaker 2: I mean, we've never been through a time that was
- 46:49Speaker 2: as scary as COVID. Are we going to die? Is
- 46:52Speaker 2: the whole world going to collapse? Is this gonna happen?
- 46:55Speaker 2: Is that gonna happen? Now? I'm I'm the leader in
- 47:00Speaker 2: this organization, right, I am the guy who is Uh.
- 47:04Speaker 2: My job description is to run the business through the good,
- 47:09Speaker 2: the bad, the ugly, all this shit. But I take
- 47:12Speaker 2: care of my people. My people depend on a paycheck
- 47:14Speaker 2: every week for me. So the way that I am
- 47:18Speaker 2: what most businesses will do. You saw it a lot
- 47:20Speaker 2: through COVID. You see a lot when when they're going
- 47:23Speaker 2: through hard times. The way that you stay that that
- 47:25Speaker 2: that you make it a lot easier as you you
- 47:27Speaker 2: start fucking getting rid of people. So you put bullets
- 47:29Speaker 2: on all these people, and you know, then your your
- 47:34Speaker 2: costs go down, and you manage the business to do whatever.
- 47:36Speaker 2: This is a fucking battleship, and we're either all going
- 47:40Speaker 2: down together or not going down at all. That's just
- 47:44Speaker 2: the way that I'm fucking wired and the way that
- 47:46Speaker 2: I look at it, And and when I look at
- 47:47Speaker 2: my employees, I expect a lot from them. Right. This
- 47:53Speaker 2: place is a fucking grindhouse. It's a hamster wheel. Every
- 47:58Speaker 2: fucking Saturday, we're putting on a fight. As soon as
- 48:00Speaker 2: that fight is over, we started promoting the next fight
- 48:03Speaker 2: on Monday. Right, So think about this, and this is
- 48:05Speaker 2: the way that I look at it. How many games
- 48:09Speaker 2: have they missed that their kids played, how many performances
- 48:13Speaker 2: have they missed that their kids performed in at school?
- 48:16Speaker 2: How many hours did they miss playing with their fucking
- 48:19Speaker 2: kids and all this kind of shit. These are the
- 48:20Speaker 2: things that I think about. And we hit some hard times,
- 48:25Speaker 2: we hit a rocket roll, and that's it. You're just
- 48:28Speaker 2: a fucking number. You're you're you're a You're a fucking
- 48:32Speaker 2: number to the bottom line, because that's basically what these
- 48:35Speaker 2: companies do. They go down and they look at the people,
- 48:37Speaker 2: and if you make the most money, you're probably the
- 48:40Speaker 2: one that's in the most risk.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Or there's multiple people to do your job or whatever.
- 48:46Speaker 2: And what goes out the window is all the shit
- 48:48Speaker 2: that you've done for the company, right, all goes out
- 48:52Speaker 2: right out the fucking window. Fuck that shit, not with me.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I don't forget. I don't ever forget. I always remember
- 48:59Speaker 2: who was here, and who did what, and and and
- 49:01Speaker 2: and then the people that I don't even know what
- 49:04Speaker 2: they did, I know what they did. You know what
- 49:06Speaker 2: I mean, because I know what we do here, and
- 49:08Speaker 2: and and I will never pick money over people.
