- 0:42Speaker 2: post Jack. I don't know if you agree on that.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I'm telling you all the Falcons needed just one. We

- 1:20Speaker 2: a facus tattoo.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And soon does the Falcons win?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you ask the wrong person. Wait both of both
- 1:26Speaker 2: they don't have I'm from Florida and I love the facus.
- 1:30Speaker 4: When I was in Florida, well nothing, nobody told me
- 1:34Speaker 4: to word my jersey.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Today I was thinking about it.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Told us, well, Jock, you you actually performed that all
- 1:40Speaker 4: time out.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It's called fabon Friday. Okay, you wear your father jersey
- 1:43Speaker 2: on Friday. Okay, that's just what I'm telling, called father Friday.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Shout out to Jock for he was performing. This is
- 1:51Speaker 3: not we just turned this.
- 1:52Speaker 2: To well, you know, he's from the A but Jack
- 1:57Speaker 2: is our guest host. But we are gonna pick his brain.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Let's do that first and foremost. I don't know if
- 2:02Speaker 2: we should tell your story over, but for those who
- 2:05Speaker 2: don't know, you know this funny story. My kids, my
- 2:09Speaker 2: younger kids was like, hey, yeah, he's on Love and
- 2:13Speaker 2: hip Hop. I was like, you know, he was the rapper.
- 2:16Speaker 2: He was like, it's going down. She was like I
- 2:20Speaker 2: was like, I had to pull the music up, and
- 2:22Speaker 2: she was like, oh yeah, Okay, I heard this before.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I just kind of had to.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But some kids to be like that, some kids ain't.
- 2:32Speaker 1: They're living in their times, right.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're on television and on the radio.
- 2:36Speaker 5: But because like it's some kids that when they see me,
- 2:39Speaker 5: their their their family or their parents. We're supporters, are
- 2:44Speaker 5: supporters and fans. So it's just like passing it on down.
- 2:48Speaker 2: It's you pass it down for you know, but everybody don't.
- 2:51Speaker 5: And sometimes kids just into what they're into. But it'll
- 2:55Speaker 5: be funny when people are like, hey, ain't you from
- 2:58Speaker 5: Love and Hip Hop? I'm like, no, from Atlanta.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That's what you say, that's what you say.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I have to because no, I'm from Atlanta.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Because I don't want you to just sum me up
- 3:14Speaker 5: and that in reality and it's okay, you can't.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Be like ain't you young job?
- 3:19Speaker 5: And that? And then no, I don't expect you to
- 3:22Speaker 5: do all that. But I don't want to be summed
- 3:26Speaker 5: up as ain't you young job? Ain't you the guy?
- 3:29Speaker 5: Or ain't you from Love and Hip No I'm not.
- 3:30Speaker 1: You know what's crazy, Jock?
- 3:32Speaker 4: I was on growing up hip hop and people be like, man,
- 3:36Speaker 4: ain't you You was on love and hip hop growing
- 3:40Speaker 4: up hip hop?
- 3:41Speaker 1: No, I was on growing up hip hop.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Oh you know what, I just think it's just a
- 3:47Speaker 4: reaction for people.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I don't think that they it's like they're trying to
- 3:50Speaker 3: sun you.
- 3:51Speaker 4: I just think that sometimes people Okay, I just think
- 3:54Speaker 4: people are just kind of like.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Shocked, like because that may be the most uh, that
- 3:59Speaker 5: may be what they they're seeing you on recently, or
- 4:02Speaker 5: the most recent thing or the most the thing that
- 4:05Speaker 5: that gives off the most energy for your brand.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And I don't think I don't think people majority come
- 4:12Speaker 2: off in a in a malice way, like in a
- 4:15Speaker 2: bad intent.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Well, it depends.
- 4:18Speaker 5: It depends, because if you're the type of person that
- 4:20Speaker 5: gives off negative energy, someone always wants to contest you,
- 4:25Speaker 5: whether it's over, whether it's via social media or in person.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I see it all the times. And that's why, like, I.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Never gave off a lot of negative energy in my music,
- 4:37Speaker 5: and I'm thankful to God and I believe I believe
- 4:41Speaker 5: that's why I have been able to have a successful
- 4:46Speaker 5: music career where there weren't shootouts and always your music
- 4:51Speaker 5: always been fun, and so I time that I bring
- 4:55Speaker 5: out so it's just like it's just like when you
- 4:59Speaker 5: see the tough the tough cats, whenever you see the
- 5:03Speaker 5: tough niggas, like that's who they bring out. They bring
- 5:07Speaker 5: out tough niggas, and tough niggas is like, I want
- 5:11Speaker 5: to see he really tough. Now, now you got to
- 5:14Speaker 5: face the energy that you give, and that's that's always
- 5:17Speaker 5: you know what it is. But I definitely don't think
- 5:19Speaker 5: it comes off of malice.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Though. To back to that, I just I just be
- 5:23Speaker 1: wanting people.
- 5:23Speaker 2: But you said you kind of gave us a segue.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I kind of wanted to take it there. I feel
- 5:27Speaker 2: like you've had an extremely successful tenure as a person.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Let me tell you why, because you evolved. You know
- 5:36Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You evolved.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You went from artists to platinum artists, to television to radio.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But you've done everything successfully. That's not easy.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Off camera, me and Jock was just having this conversation.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Very difficult. It's extremely difficult.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You know. It makes it extremely difficult.
- 6:05Speaker 5: The wrong attitude, the wrong attitude and not enough gratitude.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I think the wrong attitude. Some people feel like, NA,
- 6:14Speaker 5: that ain't I don't want it. That's gonna be too
- 6:17Speaker 5: much like work. But what I've come to realize, no
- 6:20Speaker 5: matter what you do to make money or generate an income,
- 6:23Speaker 5: there has to be some discipline.
- 6:26Speaker 1: There has to be consistency. And if you know.
- 6:31Speaker 5: What it's like to live a successful lifestyle or lavish lifestyle,
- 6:39Speaker 5: then sometimes you get to the point where it don't
- 6:40Speaker 5: matter what.
- 6:41Speaker 1: You gotta do to get it, you just know how
- 6:45Speaker 1: to get it.
- 6:46Speaker 5: And that means if I gotta dedicate ten years to
- 6:48Speaker 5: something to be successful, can I do it simultaneously with
- 6:53Speaker 5: other things that I'm putting effort, energy, time, money into
- 6:57Speaker 5: as well. And I think that's what most people fall off.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Like man, I ain't got a little time for me,
- 7:02Speaker 5: but I look at it like everything I do, it's fun.
- 7:06Speaker 5: I don't do nothing I don't like to do.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna tag you and BT, but I feel like
- 7:11Speaker 2: you were one of the first of your kind. You're
- 7:13Speaker 2: a legacy artists now like you're a legend in my
- 7:16Speaker 2: eyes right.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I'll tell you that if you said that.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Had a number one song in the world you I
- 7:24Speaker 2: saw you on TV. I remember I was in I
- 7:25Speaker 2: think college watching you. I saw you. The fall off
- 7:30Speaker 2: could have been really, really bad, had you not evolved
- 7:35Speaker 2: into doing something else, and there could have not have
- 7:38Speaker 2: been a part two or part three of who we
- 7:41Speaker 2: see you are today if you didn't align yourself appropriately,
- 7:45Speaker 2: is what I'm saying, because how many artists have we
- 7:49Speaker 2: seen fall off who have had such big records making money?
- 7:54Speaker 2: Like one time, I remember Jack was the big feature
- 7:57Speaker 2: man in the music industry. You had to have a
- 7:59Speaker 2: young job.
- 8:00Speaker 1: It's happening a lot, and I was like, oh shit,
- 8:02Speaker 1: it's happening, it's happening. Was you like finally?
- 8:08Speaker 5: I never was like finally, because finally was when we
- 8:16Speaker 5: did this going down and before the world heard it.
- 8:20Speaker 5: We were inviting people to the studio and Nieddy kept
- 8:23Speaker 5: bringing people in and I had been around, but I
- 8:26Speaker 5: was just known as Miss Bee's hype man.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Really yeah, not knowing that I'm.
- 8:31Speaker 5: A producer, I'm a writer, I'm a creative and I'm
- 8:34Speaker 5: sitting back and I'm helping do management too, but I'm
- 8:38Speaker 5: doing it quietly.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But I had this.
- 8:40Speaker 5: I still had a good personality, so people still rock
- 8:43Speaker 5: with me. But I just never said this is what
- 8:45Speaker 5: I'm doing, this is what I got going on, because
- 8:47Speaker 5: I would always just listen because I like no sense
- 8:48Speaker 5: and telling all what I got.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Going on because I don't think I'm there yet. Why
- 8:52Speaker 1: am I shared?
- 8:53Speaker 5: And when everybody walking me up to me shares with
- 8:55Speaker 5: what they got going on?
- 8:57Speaker 1: So I'm like, let me listen, somebody gonna tell me
- 8:59Speaker 1: what you know? You know?
- 9:00Speaker 5: When they stuck with do you know? I don't know,
- 9:02Speaker 5: but I want to say, Okay, I know. And when
- 9:06Speaker 5: people were coming in that studio alright and they'd be
- 9:08Speaker 5: like you need to play, they be like, ooh, ship,
- 9:12Speaker 5: what that is?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Who are that? Right?
- 9:14Speaker 2: It was?
- 9:15Speaker 1: It was everybody had the same reaction.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Just it's just like something so new, but you know
- 9:20Speaker 5: it instantly and it's like who was that? And be
- 9:23Speaker 5: like hip And it's not a slow turned whistle. It's
- 9:29Speaker 5: like it's like walking in saying.
- 9:30Speaker 1: What y'all are y'all?
- 9:31Speaker 5: Justy'all the lottery because that's how people reacting or who
- 9:36Speaker 5: or who cooked that food?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah? Instantly? Who who? Who?
- 9:39Speaker 5: So instantly in that moment. Finally, for me, I was
- 9:42Speaker 5: like finally because I knew then. I was like, I
- 9:45Speaker 5: don't know how.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Far down didn't even come out yet.
- 9:48Speaker 5: No, we had just recorded it, which is just a mess,
- 9:51Speaker 5: like we just do this on to that boom, and
- 9:53Speaker 5: then the next couple of days people coming through because
- 9:55Speaker 5: we're still working on it, working on other stuff we're
- 9:57Speaker 5: trying to build, and we're like, let me play the
- 9:59Speaker 5: for your boom.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Dude. I remember seeing you on MTV Cribs. I remember that, Yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I remember it all. Now, which career do you did
- 10:11Speaker 2: you have the most fun, because I feel like you
- 10:17Speaker 2: have three careers.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Like five career movies now movies, So it was funny.
- 10:26Speaker 2: You're you're shooting movies or you're playing.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Your investing in them as well. It's fun. You know.
- 10:34Speaker 5: When I think of the music industry, I mean, it's
- 10:36Speaker 5: kind of keep it a hunted man, it's kind of Ah.
- 10:40Speaker 5: It's one of the most adventurous career paths you could
- 10:46Speaker 5: take because the word celebrated. Everywhere you go, you're celebrated.
- 10:50Speaker 5: That's why you call it celebrity, right, So everywhere I go,
- 10:53Speaker 5: I'm celebrated.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Bro.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It never feels like work until you're doing stuff.
- 10:59Speaker 5: That you don't want to do, like interviews. I like
- 11:02Speaker 5: doing interviews because I like people, right, A.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Lot of artists don't I see, I see. It's like
- 11:08Speaker 2: a hipper. So it's like fifty to fifty.
- 11:09Speaker 5: No, because the thought process of it all is once
- 11:12Speaker 5: I'm rich, I don't have to work, or when I
- 11:15Speaker 5: get on, it's not going to be work because you
- 11:18Speaker 5: never see in the music videos. You never see the
- 11:21Speaker 5: artists showing you the work schedule, that the work low.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You don't see that. You see.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You see you know the fun money, you see you.
- 11:33Speaker 1: See the yeah baby, we we mm hmm. What's what
- 11:47Speaker 1: I'm saying is we don't. We don't see that work.
- 11:53Speaker 5: So when they get faced with it's like, oh, I
- 11:57Speaker 5: tell people all the time, when I first went to
- 12:00Speaker 5: Diddy Studio, Daddy's house, right, it wasn't the first time.
- 12:04Speaker 5: It was the it was like the third time. It
- 12:06Speaker 5: was like the first time. As I'm signed, young Jack,
- 12:10Speaker 5: you officially have a hit.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yo.
- 12:13Speaker 5: We can't even stop it if we wanted to. They're
- 12:16Speaker 5: having a party. In the middle of a party. And
- 12:18Speaker 5: I told the story before. It's a booth. It's a
- 12:20Speaker 5: recording booth. Niggas is in hip hopping bottles and joining themselves,
- 12:23Speaker 5: no crazy shit, just like a mixer.
- 12:27Speaker 1: People, the DJ's and the pds, whatever, come make me.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And I'm in this booth doing five thousand drops for.
- 12:33Speaker 5: They whole everybody from radio is sending in all the
- 12:38Speaker 5: dropping from all these radio stations. And I see that,
- 12:40Speaker 5: I'm like, well, I supposed to do that. Once you
- 12:42Speaker 5: go ahead knocked that out, I'm like, oh, y'all think
- 12:45Speaker 5: this is making the band for real? Huh well, let
- 12:48Speaker 5: me show you we're gonna make these bands. Come on,
- 12:50Speaker 5: I got it, and I'm willing to do the work
- 12:52Speaker 5: because every part of it, I know, it's me sowing
- 12:56Speaker 5: into my future. It's me sowing into what I expect
- 13:00Speaker 5: out of it. You know what I'm saying, Like, if
- 13:02Speaker 5: I hit you out that bad black, I can't expect
- 13:06Speaker 5: to knock you out and I get the prize, I
- 13:09Speaker 5: get the purse, I get the belt.
- 13:10Speaker 1: No, I got to put everything in it, for sure.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And that's just how we got to be. So I've
- 13:16Speaker 1: had fun doing all this shit.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Now, you were signed to bad Boy South, correct, Now,
- 13:23Speaker 2: what was your first deal? Was your first deal through
- 13:26Speaker 2: bad Boy South?
- 13:26Speaker 5: My first deal was me and Chino Dollar with Mastermind Music,
- 13:29Speaker 5: and I signed myself to my label, right, and so
- 13:33Speaker 5: we went in to do a furnishing deal with Block.
- 13:35Speaker 5: It was Block Block Entertainment be a bad Boy via Atlantic.
- 13:41Speaker 5: And so that's where the confusion came in early on
- 13:43Speaker 5: in my career because I signed myself to myself and
- 13:47Speaker 5: me and Chino, right, So when we did this deal,
- 13:53Speaker 5: Block and I don't want to I don't want this
- 13:55Speaker 5: to be like I'm bashing, but this is how the
- 13:56Speaker 5: business go. The way the paperwork look, Block and Chino
- 14:02Speaker 5: had to split the proceeds. But that's Block, Chino and
- 14:05Speaker 5: Jock who got to split these proceeds. So in the
- 14:08Speaker 5: process of that, now we're furnishing out with Bad Boys South.
- 14:14Speaker 3: And so it's a lot of hands in the pot, right,
- 14:17Speaker 3: And so.
- 14:18Speaker 2: What happens is it's a bust down, bust down, bus down.
- 14:20Speaker 5: But when you started feeling like, man, he good because
- 14:22Speaker 5: he with Yack and you know, that's what Block and
- 14:25Speaker 5: Chino fell out at. So that's how I was able
- 14:28Speaker 5: to get out of my deal. People don't notice, but
- 14:32Speaker 5: I was able to go back and say, hey, I
- 14:35Speaker 5: was never just signed to Block Entertainment and if y'all
- 14:40Speaker 5: not gonna honor that, then we can't under young Jock
- 14:44Speaker 5: being signed to.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Bad Boy or Atlantic. Mm hmmm. It was real crazy
- 14:51Speaker 1: and they let you go. I had to what do
- 14:52Speaker 1: you mean?
- 14:53Speaker 4: So how how did that conversation go? It was crazy, man,
- 14:56Speaker 4: it was, it was, It was.
- 14:57Speaker 1: It was. It was interesting because I was doing every
- 15:00Speaker 1: thing I could too.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And what song is currently out right now it's going down,
- 15:05Speaker 2: is already out and we're doing big features around.
- 15:07Speaker 4: The when when you was getting out of the contract,
- 15:10Speaker 4: this year is on end.
- 15:11Speaker 1: This is like so you already jocked, like.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It's already lit Heaven, Heaven.
- 15:17Speaker 5: I'm like, man, y'all crazy, and I'm like, we gotta
- 15:20Speaker 5: do something because yo, I can't keep sitting around playing.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Now you're saying sit around playing? Is this because like
- 15:26Speaker 2: money is coming in and like people are like, all right,
- 15:28Speaker 2: how does this break down? No money slowing, No, not slowing.
- 15:34Speaker 1: It's just like we can't come to an agreement to
- 15:38Speaker 1: move forward, you know what I'm saying. That's all it was.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It was.
- 15:42Speaker 5: I mean, you know, just imagine before I, before I
- 15:47Speaker 5: did the deal with any of them ahead, I know
- 15:49Speaker 5: you see it, I had this going down, so you like,
- 15:53Speaker 5: I already got he already got these records. And so
- 15:56Speaker 5: now after we do our first deal, you know it's
- 15:58Speaker 5: you know, it's a half me and all the budget.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I ain't really getting no real signing bonus for real?
- 16:03Speaker 1: For real. It was like a little bit right.
- 16:05Speaker 5: And I know it didn't take all, but it kind
- 16:08Speaker 5: of did, but it kind of didn't because I didn't
- 16:10Speaker 5: record no wether blocked studio for my first album for real,
- 16:13Speaker 5: because I had it already came with the other the
- 16:15Speaker 5: records that I had, you know what I'm saying. So
- 16:17Speaker 5: now I'm like, second album, Come now, I got a
- 16:22Speaker 5: million dollar budget and I get no advance. I'm like, well,
- 16:25Speaker 5: we got no advance time about what we're doing.
- 16:27Speaker 1: No? No? Oh, So you know sounds like okay.
- 16:30Speaker 5: So I had to already start preparing myself to look
- 16:33Speaker 5: at the legal ramifications of my paperwork, and I just
- 16:36Speaker 5: started putting money into that quietly because I saw where
- 16:38Speaker 5: that was about to go.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Because I was like, okay, you like, this ain't right.
- 16:42Speaker 4: A million dollars, bro, and I don't see no money
- 16:44Speaker 4: and I'm already lit.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Bro, I'm looking like and so now you want me
- 16:48Speaker 5: to only record at your studio? And again I understood
- 16:54Speaker 5: it because it's like, hey, dog, I built this house,
- 16:57Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, This studio, this block entertainment.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You're gonna come here and you're gonna do this here.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Like I'm gonna this budget gonna feed But the budget
- 17:06Speaker 5: only feeds your family. What about other people? And it's
- 17:10Speaker 5: not just about feeding their family. It's other spaces I
- 17:13Speaker 5: want to record, and it's other synergies I want to experience.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And be a part of.
- 17:17Speaker 2: And you may want to go to patch work, you
- 17:18Speaker 2: may want to go billboard.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Guess what if I go to some of these studios,
- 17:22Speaker 5: I walk in and oh man, what's happen?
- 17:25Speaker 1: And it's just like, I ain't even think of that?
- 17:28Speaker 5: And nothing like I got a tone when you producers,
- 17:31Speaker 5: you you know, unknown the synergy you walk in, it's like,
- 17:34Speaker 5: oh man, what in crossing? And I couldn't do that
- 17:36Speaker 5: there because he didn't have question?
- 17:40Speaker 2: How is your relationship with Block?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Now? It's cool? I said, I'm not wanting for grudges.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Was there a fallout when you of.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Course it was, of course it was. But we got
- 17:51Speaker 5: past that ship. Man, ain't look man, you're rich. You
- 17:53Speaker 5: know we're rich, but what what you what you're gonna do?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Oh y'all?
- 17:57Speaker 5: So and when I started seeing things that you know,
- 18:00Speaker 5: I don't want to get too deep in all that
- 18:01Speaker 5: ship because I'm so far removed from it. But when
- 18:05Speaker 5: I started feeling those negative energies, that is one of
- 18:09Speaker 5: those moments in my life where I said, oh, y'all
- 18:13Speaker 5: want me to show y'all how many different hats I
- 18:15Speaker 5: could wear? Oh, I got to do this, then let
- 18:24Speaker 5: me show you. So I started putting out other artists.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Was this the was this the the evolution to go.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Into This was the evolution of Okay, it's not about
- 18:36Speaker 5: me showing y'all, it's about me showing myself.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I got a challenge job, like bro, because they thought
- 18:41Speaker 3: you was just an artist.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Well, no, they knew it. They knew I wasn't just
- 18:45Speaker 5: the artists. They knew I wasn't just an artists. And
- 18:48Speaker 5: that was the issue. It's like we can't let him
- 18:50Speaker 5: move too fast. It was almost like like like a
- 18:53Speaker 5: little bro, Like, little Bro, just slow down, let me
- 18:54Speaker 5: show you the way.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Hey, I see your way.
- 18:57Speaker 5: And because everybody's benefiting all you, so we don't need
- 19:00Speaker 5: need you to we don't need you to go off
- 19:02Speaker 5: and be like man, I can do my own label,
- 19:03Speaker 5: put out, do this, do this, do this, and and
- 19:07Speaker 5: I'm like that's cool. But if you planing me on this.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm not no dummy.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Like.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Bro, If I'm hungry and somebody bring in to hamburgers
- 19:15Speaker 5: and you hungry, and I'm hungry, and I'm telling I'm starving,
- 19:18Speaker 5: and you eat both of them hamburgers knowing I'm starving.
- 19:21Speaker 1: We ain't gotta fight.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Just know I can never eat with you again. I'm
- 19:25Speaker 5: gonna just wait till you go to sleep, and you're
- 19:28Speaker 5: gonna be sleepy after over. Consumer, that's what greed. Does
- 19:33Speaker 5: you get comfortable and relaxed, That's what greed.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Does.
- 19:35Speaker 5: You get comfortable, you relax and you let you go
- 19:38Speaker 5: down cool, and I'm out of here.
- 19:42Speaker 3: That's a very That's an interesting way to think.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Because most people want to fight.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Yeah, you know Florida. If you Florida, people like to fight.
- 19:51Speaker 5: But it's it's it's not just human nature. It's just
- 19:57Speaker 5: it's just the nature of the kingdom. Put your let's get.
- 20:01Speaker 1: A hungry dog. Put your hand in plate, gonna bite
- 20:04Speaker 1: you and bite your do a baby. Let the baby
- 20:07Speaker 1: trying to pull the food back.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I got one of the house, like damn in the morning, bro,
- 20:14Speaker 2: she is she lit? Yeah, don't let the milk run out.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Like all right, So wait, John instincts right here, you
- 20:25Speaker 1: know what I'm saying.
- 20:25Speaker 2: So when is there any moment in this path I'm
- 20:29Speaker 2: trying to stay make sure we stay on the chronological
- 20:31Speaker 2: order where you were like, damn, the sack is going down.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I gotta pivot out of this.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Was that after the Forbes when you announced on so
- 20:44Speaker 5: so you know, once they did the Ford ship Man,
- 20:46Speaker 5: it was really like.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Was that bad for you?
- 20:49Speaker 1: It was good and bad? Okay, because somewhere there was
- 20:52Speaker 1: certain people.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Grabbing for wrong. Sixteen million in one year is a lot?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Well, it was. It was it was ten ten right,
- 21:00Speaker 1: damn but that but that's.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Just it's everything. It's allocations.
- 21:07Speaker 5: They that may have been reported, got it what they
- 21:10Speaker 5: think because if you if you came and gave me
- 21:13Speaker 5: right now a million dollars and then you gave it
- 21:17Speaker 5: to me cash.
- 21:17Speaker 2: How they know facts?
- 21:19Speaker 1: They don't.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It's basically what's in your name and they can sert
- 21:21Speaker 2: your name and look it up.
- 21:22Speaker 3: This would always say.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I always say Forbes numbers is always off in my opinion,
- 21:29Speaker 4: because it's just like you said, it might say on
- 21:32Speaker 4: paper that he made ten.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Million, but he could have made fifteen million that year.
- 21:37Speaker 4: And I've seen an interview where you said that was
- 21:40Speaker 4: one of the worst mistakes that you made, was.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Allowing that to be published.
- 21:45Speaker 5: I think just what happens is bro sometimes, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 5: because think about it.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Football player, athlete.
- 21:51Speaker 5: We know their salary, sure do now the artist, we
- 21:54Speaker 5: know how much your deal was worth. And then to
- 21:57Speaker 5: break it even further down, it came to a point
- 21:59Speaker 5: where how many uns you did in the first week,
- 22:03Speaker 5: But before that that was still always a plaque to
- 22:09Speaker 5: solidify your numbers. That's why you end up with a platinum,
- 22:13Speaker 5: gold or diamond. You know what I'm saying. Because people
- 22:19Speaker 5: we also market the success in numbers and money will
- 22:23Speaker 5: market that.
- 22:24Speaker 1: We have to explore it. Hey man, he.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Did X y Z was to justify the yeah I
- 22:29Speaker 2: got you.
- 22:30Speaker 5: And it's also propaganda. So when the Forbes hit that
- 22:33Speaker 5: was the first time they did it. I'm number I'm
- 22:36Speaker 5: the bottom of the list, but I'm like, damn, I'm
- 22:39Speaker 5: on the list. So now some people who actually might
- 22:42Speaker 5: want to help you now they looking more like.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Shit, man, you can help it, can help you, help me?
- 22:47Speaker 1: You good, So it.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Ain't somebody might not call you yo, I just yo,
- 22:54Speaker 5: I got ten thousand can you come through and do
- 22:56Speaker 5: two songs at this wedding?
- 22:58Speaker 1: And it's like.
- 23:02Speaker 5: You already in the city. You gotta show that night.
- 23:05Speaker 5: If you can be in the sit there, you can
- 23:06Speaker 5: do shit. Ain't no real cool team come through and
- 23:09Speaker 5: I could do that, but they don't think. They don't
- 23:11Speaker 5: expect you to take it, so they don't. They don't
- 23:13Speaker 5: call you with it. Now you get what I'm saying.
- 23:16Speaker 4: You see what I'm saying because now people now people
- 23:19Speaker 4: are pocket watching, so now they're like, if he made
- 23:23Speaker 4: ten million dollars, why am I gonna get him ten thousand?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Or it ain't even that. I don't want to insult you
- 23:28Speaker 1: know that too.
- 23:30Speaker 5: You ever you ever seen your you never played yourself
- 23:33Speaker 5: out of a deal when you you shot yourself in
- 23:36Speaker 5: the foot because you're thinking, well, you know what you
- 23:39Speaker 5: will take, man, I'll take what.
- 23:41Speaker 1: They like, all right, that's it. Yeah, that's it. Damn.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I was like, hell, I'm fucking witch. But you just
- 23:48Speaker 1: gotta be that type of.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Dude on your Yeah, if you because if you hit him,
- 23:52Speaker 5: if they hit you with that, your quick drug out
- 23:54Speaker 5: to be like I'm talking shit, bro, for real, is
- 23:56Speaker 5: actually double that you let that's it come out to
- 24:01Speaker 5: your mouth. If that's it, that's the indication that you
- 24:04Speaker 5: got more. So give me more, you know what I'm saying.
- 24:06Speaker 5: But anyway, it did come to a point where it's
- 24:08Speaker 5: just like people felt like, so.
- 24:13Speaker 2: When did Love and Hi want to bring him this bag?
- 24:16Speaker 1: It ain't even that.
- 24:17Speaker 5: It's just sometimes it turned into like damn even your family,
- 24:21Speaker 5: You're like, you make that kind of money, You ain't
- 24:22Speaker 5: gave me nothing, or like you, bro.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You brought my kids a PS three for Christmas?
- 24:28Speaker 5: Bro, you could about a PS three the sound system
- 24:32Speaker 5: for that shit and a eighty ch TV.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And you could have gotten a car.
- 24:37Speaker 2: You got it. They think you got it on your
- 24:39Speaker 2: account too.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Yes.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So so when did Love and Hip Hop Atlanta approach you?
- 24:46Speaker 2: And was it something that you had to consider?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Hell yeah, someone had to consider.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Did you at what first? Did you not want to
- 24:52Speaker 2: do it?
- 24:54Speaker 1: Well?
- 24:55Speaker 2: You know, And funny story, guys, I've never publicly said this.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I approached me about doing a Love and Hip Hop
- 25:02Speaker 2: one night at the wife house.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Do you remember that night? What were I do?
- 25:07Speaker 2: He was like, hey man, you'd be perfect.
- 25:10Speaker 5: I was like, hell no, yeah, but you got the
- 25:13Speaker 5: personality I know.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I feel you. But I just was like, nah, I
- 25:18Speaker 2: was going through something at the time.
- 25:19Speaker 1: To yeah, you can't be drama was televisionable because they
- 25:25Speaker 1: don't want you. Its real, A lot of it's real.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I didn't want none of that smoke.
- 25:29Speaker 5: But again, that's what we were talking about. What how much?
- 25:33Speaker 1: What?
- 25:33Speaker 2: I don't want the exaggeration?
- 25:34Speaker 1: What are you willing to see?
- 25:39Speaker 2: I couldn't do it, and I was just trying to
- 25:41Speaker 2: protect the parties involved.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Bro I was I said, I wouldn't do it either.
- 25:46Speaker 2: You would.
- 25:46Speaker 5: You would have made it so much, man said, I
- 25:49Speaker 5: didn't want to do it either.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Listen, bro Bro. First of all, shout out to the
- 25:52Speaker 2: mothers of my kids. Shout out to my wife Tis.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I wasn't with my wife Tenniche at the time. I
- 25:57Speaker 2: just had a lot of drama going on and it
- 25:59Speaker 2: was real. I was just outside. I was doing too much.
- 26:01Speaker 1: No, what do I see? That's that?
- 26:02Speaker 4: That's that, that's that that Jock agency in his mind, like, hey,
- 26:06Speaker 4: what definitely.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Cub I'm going to the waffle house to get some food.
- 26:11Speaker 2: He was like, oh you. I was like what.
- 26:14Speaker 1: He was like, no you.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I was like, no, what are you talking about? He
- 26:17Speaker 2: was like you're perfect. I was like, nah, because yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 2: how did you consider saying you know what, Yeah, I'm
- 26:25Speaker 2: gonna do this.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Because I was at the point where I realized y'all.
- 26:29Speaker 2: So you didn't do it for financial reasons.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Not necessarily because you know, I was, man, please, you
- 26:39Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. When I got on there, I
- 26:42Speaker 5: was getting it. But it was at a point where
- 26:44Speaker 5: I was going through a divorce, so sh it will
- 26:47Speaker 5: split then here I am while I'm going through this,
- 26:51Speaker 5: because I was already separated, illegally separated, because the divorce
- 26:56Speaker 5: had already been you know, we had already signed the
- 26:59Speaker 5: voice settled. No, it wasn't settled, but I accepted the service,
- 27:04Speaker 5: and she accepted the service so legally that that could
- 27:07Speaker 5: be considered legal separation. I think, in my heart of hearts,
- 27:12Speaker 5: I'm right on that, because no, I'm serious. Once I
- 27:15Speaker 5: say I served you, I don't want to be with
- 27:17Speaker 5: you no more. I'm not lying to you. I'm not
- 27:19Speaker 5: misleading you. I'm honest. I don't want to be with you.
- 27:21Speaker 2: And did you move out and have your own place?
- 27:23Speaker 5: It took a minute. It took a minute because I
- 27:25Speaker 5: still that was my family, you know, that was my unit.
- 27:28Speaker 5: And I wasn't because I didn't really want a divorce,
- 27:30Speaker 5: but I just realized at that point in my life.
- 27:40Speaker 1: How do I say this, man? Because I believe in.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Giving yourself time to heal and have better understanding the ship,
- 27:49Speaker 5: because it took me ten years to really heal from
- 27:54Speaker 5: some of the.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Things that I went through. Ten years.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Yeah, because most of the time, you know, think about
- 28:02Speaker 5: it when you're going through with a baby mama or something, right,
- 28:06Speaker 5: y'all don't really get cool where y'all can kind of
- 28:08Speaker 5: talk to y'all child about ten think about it because
- 28:12Speaker 5: then another you know, it's like feelings far removed, the
- 28:16Speaker 5: resentment is gone from both sides kind of dissipates and ass.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Kind of like we can be friends. We can be
- 28:22Speaker 3: friends now, and now we can see.
- 28:23Speaker 1: What we're doing.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Are extremely cordial to a point where the communication is
- 28:26Speaker 2: extremely good.
- 28:27Speaker 1: It's healthy.
- 28:28Speaker 2: It's healthy and communication.
- 28:29Speaker 5: And it didn't take me that long for my process
- 28:34Speaker 5: of healing to start with me and my wife or
- 28:37Speaker 5: me and anybody else. It was just like ali because
- 28:40Speaker 5: none of that's new people you're getting involved with and
- 28:42Speaker 5: ask like, who's around my kids?
- 28:44Speaker 1: So you start going through certain stuff like that.
- 28:46Speaker 5: And then after awhile, you know, you slow down, it
- 28:48Speaker 5: was just one person or you know whatever.
- 28:50Speaker 1: So long as.
- 28:54Speaker 5: I say ten years, because with you know, that's about
- 28:57Speaker 5: the time we start celebrating people.
- 28:59Speaker 1: We think of anniversary ten thirty, forty fifty years.
- 29:03Speaker 5: You know, you know what I'm saying, Oh, I mean
- 29:06Speaker 5: in this job for ten years, ten years, that's a decade.
- 29:10Speaker 1: What do you even call five years? Nothing? See what
- 29:13Speaker 1: I'm saying. No, but I see what I'm saying. There's nothing.
- 29:16Speaker 5: But we we don't start stamping into this about a decade, right,
- 29:19Speaker 5: and this we call it right. And I realized that
- 29:22Speaker 5: after about a decade, I had a better understanding of
- 29:27Speaker 5: my wrongs. And even when I thought I was right
- 29:32Speaker 5: or whatever, I felt like my wife put me through
- 29:35Speaker 5: or whatever. I felt like she didn't mean it that way.
- 29:38Speaker 5: She just didn't know it took me. And it wasn't
- 29:40Speaker 5: like I'm seeing his searching for that. You know, you're
- 29:42Speaker 5: just sitting that the light one day and then you
- 29:44Speaker 5: hear something You're like, damn, that's the same thing that
- 29:51Speaker 5: I went through. But hearing it like this that it's
- 29:55Speaker 5: just you're not looking for you know, shit, You never forget.
- 29:57Speaker 5: It's in your subconscious realm. You're subliminal, and some things
- 30:01Speaker 5: just pop out and you see it like, oh you
- 30:04Speaker 5: never had an idea, Well, you thought about it one
- 30:07Speaker 5: day and you just didn't know how to answer it,
- 30:08Speaker 5: and then it took some time.
- 30:09Speaker 1: One of that shit just pop hopped up and.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Happens all the time, though.
- 30:14Speaker 5: Think about this songs you hear ten years later, you
- 30:19Speaker 5: riding one day and you hear the part of it. Nah,
- 30:23Speaker 5: you just be like, oh, that's what he said. All
- 30:28Speaker 5: this time, I thought he said X Y Z it
- 30:32Speaker 5: sums to be about I.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Don't know, it's more, it's more clarity.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I think it's like it's like more clarity.
- 30:38Speaker 5: I think maybe you get into a new generation of
- 30:40Speaker 5: a new tier of life, and and it's evolving as evolution.
- 30:44Speaker 5: So it's like some some music like you said, you
- 30:47Speaker 5: are heard, but you ain't. You don't really hear it,
- 30:49Speaker 5: and you look up ten years now, he was like.
- 30:52Speaker 1: That's exact. I know what he mean. I ain't know
- 30:54Speaker 1: what he meant ten years ago. I knew what he
- 30:56Speaker 1: meant now though, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I
- 30:58Speaker 1: feel like that, So okay.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Love and Hip hop is going well. Uh, young Jock
- 31:04Speaker 2: is on TV and at the time all three of
- 31:07Speaker 2: us was working at the same station. And Young Jock
- 31:12Speaker 2: is now a radio morning show host. And I remember
- 31:16Speaker 2: Jack oversleeping a little bit, coming to work late. I
- 31:20Speaker 2: remember it wasn't sounding as well oiled as it is now.
- 31:25Speaker 2: And I think always with new shows, that's just how
- 31:26Speaker 2: it goes. That's just how radio works. But I do
- 31:30Speaker 2: remember the best thing about your show and currently, now
- 31:35Speaker 2: here's your voice. It's a recognizable voice. Yeah, everyone knows
- 31:40Speaker 2: your voice. Why music, television, radio, You're covering all three bases.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I'm trying to I'm trying to might.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Be the smartest thing I've ever seen a radio host.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Dude, ain't the first, but one thing about.
- 31:57Speaker 2: The first, correct, However, I feel wait, yes you are no, no, no,
- 32:02Speaker 2: it's what he's done, but not you do it.
- 32:04Speaker 3: But I'm saying what what're.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Weekly on television, daily on the radio, and music is
- 32:12Speaker 2: just everywhere everywhere other otherise that's what But see, that's.
- 32:15Speaker 1: What I'm saying.
- 32:16Speaker 3: What what artists? Then we know artists Steve Harvey not a.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Rapper, but Steve comedy but so so it's a sign
- 32:24Speaker 2: I feel like comedy radio people and like artists. I
- 32:28Speaker 2: think we're all like we have the same techniques on
- 32:31Speaker 2: how we do things, even content people like well shout
- 32:33Speaker 2: out to Lisa. I feel like we have to be
- 32:34Speaker 2: creative and you can't just do one thing. If you
- 32:37Speaker 2: just do one thing, you're you'll get stuck in your fail.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Well let's let's let's be for real.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Most of the things we consume are byproducts of something else,
- 32:47Speaker 5: an attempt to do something, achieve something else, you know
- 32:49Speaker 5: what I'm saying. Like they didn't like like like coca
- 32:54Speaker 5: cola wasn't meant to be consumed as a refreshing beverage.
- 32:59Speaker 5: It was a ton of It was trying to like,
- 33:01Speaker 5: hey man, you're feeling bad, to drink some of this ship.
- 33:03Speaker 1: You ain't gonna even if.
- 33:05Speaker 5: It don't heal you, it's gonna take your mind off
- 33:07Speaker 5: this ship and you're gonna feel good.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Give me some of that. Yeah, So I think that's
- 33:13Speaker 1: what happens that radio. Man, that radio one thing I knew.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I was like, man, I don't want to.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Like what really made you just because make up and
- 33:27Speaker 4: be like I want to do radio and not only
- 33:30Speaker 4: that mornings, cause bro, you got to get up and
- 33:33Speaker 4: foe and you don't be going to sleep.
- 33:34Speaker 1: First and foremost, let me let me give you this
- 33:36Speaker 1: game ready.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Go ahead? So did you even sleep from last night?
- 33:41Speaker 1: Right now? Nah? I performed in this yesterday.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Last night because I seen your risks bad.
- 33:48Speaker 1: And you know they always be like bro.
- 33:50Speaker 5: I was like, look, as long as I don't stink,
- 33:52Speaker 5: don't worry about what I had on yesterday, because if
- 33:55Speaker 5: I stink, then I'm offensive and I should never be offensive. Motherfuck,
- 33:58Speaker 5: I'm gonna go brush my teeth. Wah, yeah, this is
- 34:00Speaker 5: what I had on you man, you know not mad Well,
- 34:04Speaker 5: let's not even talk about this.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Ship work go ahead.
- 34:06Speaker 2: I'm bad show though.
- 34:09Speaker 1: But I just been saying it for a minute.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I need a stability. And it wasn't about financial stability.
- 34:17Speaker 5: It was about something that I could dedicate to that
- 34:19Speaker 5: would still create or generate income and I can still
- 34:24Speaker 5: be in entertainment, but I could be home because I
- 34:27Speaker 5: got to a point man, when I met once I
- 34:30Speaker 5: met Kendred, not met Yeah, shouts out to that one.
- 34:33Speaker 5: Once we started being like, you know what I like
- 34:38Speaker 5: being around this woman.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I like, I like what we do.
- 34:40Speaker 5: We get together, We get we get together, we start
- 34:43Speaker 5: talking about making some money and then we'll go do
- 34:44Speaker 5: that shit and make the money and be.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Like, well, was that right, buddy? You know?
- 34:48Speaker 5: And then it started turning like when I'm gone, she's
- 34:52Speaker 5: concerned with me, and when I'm gone, I'm concerned with her.
- 34:54Speaker 5: So then you know, we started living together and it's like, shit,
- 34:57Speaker 5: I don't want my lady at home by myself like that.
- 35:00Speaker 5: Even though when I was married it was the same way,
- 35:02Speaker 5: but of course it was super security, even though we
- 35:04Speaker 5: got super security now. But it's like lessons that you learned. Yes,
- 35:07Speaker 5: and now I'm like, you know what I want to be.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I want to.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Correct my wrongs. I don't want to make the same mistakes.
- 35:13Speaker 5: So now I'm like I want to put more time
- 35:14Speaker 5: into my relationship and build.
- 35:16Speaker 1: And then I was like, you know what.
- 35:18Speaker 5: It's something I saw YO gotta do whenever I would
- 35:24Speaker 5: go to Memphis. God, he would get so much loved.
- 35:29Speaker 5: I was like, damn, I was like, this is crazy,
- 35:34Speaker 5: like right, and so when.
- 35:36Speaker 1: We did, I know what she liked. Let's just ask him.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Get on it.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Brian Leaps put it together. God, he did it, and
- 35:44Speaker 5: I was like, appreciate it. Now she just took off
- 35:47Speaker 5: and whenever, because he's the He was the type of
- 35:50Speaker 5: artist that in his hometown. He live in legend, so
- 35:53Speaker 5: you know what I feel like. And I remember they
- 35:57Speaker 5: wanted to do They wanted me to do the car
- 36:00Speaker 5: and bike show here in Atlanta.
- 36:01Speaker 1: He wanted me to do it, and.
- 36:03Speaker 5: I was a little hesitant because I knew that that
- 36:06Speaker 5: record hadn't popped here in our city. I wasn't getting
- 36:08Speaker 5: the same support at home as God he was getting
- 36:11Speaker 5: in Memphis, so I knew that it could look different.
- 36:15Speaker 5: And I remember that, and I didn't wanna do that show.
- 36:18Speaker 5: And when we did that show, I remember the crowd
- 36:22Speaker 5: not reacting like that for that song, and I remember
- 36:28Speaker 5: Gody looking back like confused, like damn if you could tell,
- 36:33Speaker 5: And it was a natural thing. It wasn't a hate,
- 36:35Speaker 5: it wasn't nothing. It was just like it was like
- 36:37Speaker 5: he looking at the DJ. And I had to do
- 36:39Speaker 5: extra to get the crowd involved cause that worker hadn't
- 36:42Speaker 5: popped here, you know what I'm saying.
- 36:43Speaker 1: And that made me say.
- 36:44Speaker 5: I gotta work on my roots, cause I need to
- 36:48Speaker 5: be able to always get some money at home. If
- 36:50Speaker 5: I can't get no money nowhere else right about what
- 36:52Speaker 5: I'm saying right, and and and after that, I started
- 36:57Speaker 5: asking myself what could I do to generate more of
- 37:01Speaker 5: that type of love and that capacity.
- 37:04Speaker 1: And I just started trying. Shit.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Man, I had a got them, I had a car shop.
- 37:09Speaker 5: I was paying cars like. I was paying cars like. Bro,
- 37:13Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you, like you.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Don't even know.
- 37:15Speaker 5: I would go and buy a car off Craigslist, old
- 37:21Speaker 5: school right, fix it up. I would go get that car.
- 37:24Speaker 5: I had a paint man. I had the interior.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Man.
- 37:28Speaker 5: I had a badass motor man right, So I go
- 37:32Speaker 5: buy the car, thirty five hundred shell. I gonna put
- 37:36Speaker 5: a motor in it, motor tradmis if it don't already
- 37:39Speaker 5: have I. If it got it, I rebuild it. Someone
- 37:41Speaker 5: was cool, just had to do some work to him.
- 37:43Speaker 5: But I would dress that motor up. I would go in.
- 37:45Speaker 5: I would paint that more because I got my interior. Man,
- 37:48Speaker 5: everything gonna get painting because ain't gonna be nothing in it.
- 37:50Speaker 5: It's gonna be the shell. So it's almost like frame off,
- 37:53Speaker 5: but it's not frame. So then by the time I'm
- 37:56Speaker 5: finished and I paint that car and I put everything together. Bro,
- 37:59Speaker 5: I will go take the cars to the title point.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Because it's an old school call, the value is up higher.
- 38:05Speaker 5: You know, it's old schools. They don't appreciate like a
- 38:09Speaker 5: new car. So if I can take a car, and
- 38:11Speaker 5: I spent nine thousand, well about ten thousand dollars doing it,
- 38:13Speaker 5: just to make it look like.
- 38:15Speaker 1: They took care of this goddamn car.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they gonna get quecially depending on the style and
- 38:22Speaker 2: make models.
- 38:23Speaker 1: So I did.
- 38:23Speaker 5: About after I did a few of them, I started realizing, like, man,
- 38:32Speaker 5: I'm just do whatever I want to do.
- 38:34Speaker 2: And radio was one of them.
- 38:36Speaker 5: I started promoting clubs, so when I walked in the
- 38:38Speaker 5: radio I had. I only went to radio because I
- 38:40Speaker 5: was paying for a commercials to do a club I.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Was promote on the South Side.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, actually I was downtown.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Oh okay, I went to the I went to your club
- 38:49Speaker 3: on the South side.
- 38:50Speaker 2: What was it called?
- 38:52Speaker 1: I think it was Miami No Southeast Venue South.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I was is now called KOD Yeah. Uh.
- 39:01Speaker 5: And I like what they've done with KOD, but I ain't.
- 39:02Speaker 5: I don't think nobody made well. They've been a long.
- 39:05Speaker 2: And when it was venue, it was lit. Oh yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 2: it's little kod I was just saying Venue. I remember
- 39:11Speaker 2: going to venue I used to go.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I was doing that money drop. Yeah, that's that's what
- 39:16Speaker 1: I remember. I went there with the money drop. Was crazy.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I was crazy, that was it. You was paying for
- 39:23Speaker 2: radio well.
- 39:25Speaker 5: I was paying I was going to pay for radio ass.
- 39:27Speaker 5: And I was just like, damn, what if I could
- 39:29Speaker 5: talk to the people every goddamn day. Because when I
- 39:32Speaker 5: went in there to talk on the mic, I'm in
- 39:34Speaker 5: my I'm in my zone.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'm on the mic. And more Quick was doing the
- 39:37Speaker 1: commercial and I'm.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, woo woo woo. And I told
- 39:40Speaker 5: Charlotte shot, come whit me to do the commercial. I
- 39:42Speaker 5: wanted to have like, you know, a funny edge to it.
- 39:45Speaker 5: And as I was doing it, when she was playing
- 39:47Speaker 5: it back, I was like, this, this ship is better
- 39:52Speaker 5: than the music business because the city can hear what
- 39:54Speaker 5: I'm talking about every day. Instantly, I said, hold on,
- 40:03Speaker 5: I said, with Steve in his office, can go speak
- 40:06Speaker 5: to him?
- 40:06Speaker 1: So long? Yeah? What else? Steve jock Jock?
- 40:11Speaker 2: What up?
- 40:11Speaker 1: Man? I said, Hey, man, give me a show. Let's
- 40:15Speaker 1: take over city. That is it was later so and
- 40:19Speaker 1: the rest was history. It was hard it's been hard.
- 40:21Speaker 5: And it wasn't just no easy thing because niggas was
- 40:24Speaker 5: laughing at me, not because it was a good show.
- 40:27Speaker 1: There was like why are you tripping?
- 40:29Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of people was very confused because they
- 40:32Speaker 4: was like, we never seen a rapper, a platinum selling
- 40:36Speaker 4: rapper get a morning show. Yeah, it's just but it
- 40:41Speaker 4: was kind But you know what, I think you kind
- 40:42Speaker 4: of started something because now what I'm seeing is radio
- 40:47Speaker 4: is trying to get.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but not even just not even maino. I'm talking
- 40:52Speaker 3: about just in general. Like I've seen morning shows in
- 40:55Speaker 3: different other places where they like they try to get
- 40:57Speaker 3: influencers now because remember.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Radio used to be you gotta be good, you gotta
- 41:03Speaker 4: you know it was it was a process. But now
- 41:05Speaker 4: it's like when you stepped into it, I feel like
- 41:08Speaker 4: you kind of changed, like the algorithm with Ready.
- 41:11Speaker 5: I think it was some things already in place happening.
- 41:14Speaker 5: I think people started the podcast thing was slowly just
- 41:19Speaker 5: starting to try to just kind of like really have
- 41:23Speaker 5: some real presence in our culture. And I think what
- 41:26Speaker 5: it did was when I was able to go and
- 41:28Speaker 5: get on radio every day, it made other people feel like.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Not saying it helped the podcast thing.
- 41:36Speaker 5: But I think I really feel like it did because
- 41:38Speaker 5: people was thinking I was on the podcast. So every
- 41:40Speaker 5: day that black Man, I heard you on that podcast
- 41:42Speaker 5: because people see clips, they think the podcast, right. But
- 41:46Speaker 5: then what it did? I think it made like you said,
- 41:48Speaker 5: it made other people be like, well, you know what,
- 41:51Speaker 5: I got stories, you know what I understand.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Money. I done made a lot of money, man.
- 41:56Speaker 5: I know people, I got relationships. So now that I think,
- 42:00Speaker 5: I do feel like it may have had some influence.
- 42:03Speaker 5: It did, for sure, you know, I just I just don't.
- 42:05Speaker 5: I don't want to see him be like I had
- 42:07Speaker 5: something to do with.
- 42:08Speaker 1: That you did. But I said, person, well.
- 42:11Speaker 5: You're the first person to say that to me, so
- 42:13Speaker 5: I would accept it and say that maybe I was
- 42:15Speaker 5: a part of that, because.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I think you are very influential in just the landscaping
- 42:20Speaker 3: of you know, at that period of time, like you said,
- 42:22Speaker 3: the culture was starting to change.
- 42:24Speaker 5: Yeah, we wasn't doing podcasts when I jumped on radio
- 42:26Speaker 5: like that. It's not it was not, and that everybody came.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It was very few. I remember we were doing this
- 42:31Speaker 2: ball Up Show podcast twenty sixteen. It wasn't nowhere to
- 42:34Speaker 2: where it is now. This is like a full television show.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all have definitely grown and solutes y'all. I love it.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I love it.
- 42:40Speaker 4: I love it like and your success too, because when
- 42:46Speaker 4: John came in, I was like, man, how does it like,
- 42:48Speaker 4: how does it feel to like have this success?
- 42:50Speaker 3: And like did you expect to have this success?
- 42:52Speaker 4: You know, getting into radio because you off said that
- 42:56Speaker 4: radio in Atlanta for real, for real, like when you
- 42:59Speaker 4: got on radio.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Upset the ligarithm of normal morning radio. But again, I
- 43:06Speaker 2: don't even know if you plan to do to.
- 43:08Speaker 3: That's what he was talking about. I was talking about
- 43:10Speaker 3: off camera.
- 43:10Speaker 2: But again, like you're extremely valuable. Why you're on television weekly,
- 43:16Speaker 2: you're on the radio daily. Your music can be heard global,
- 43:21Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. So, and you're not afraid
- 43:23Speaker 2: to win. How about this? Your music that you released
- 43:28Speaker 2: over ten years ago is now being re reintroduced in
- 43:33Speaker 2: the market on all radio stations. All stations have to
- 43:37Speaker 2: play your record, So you're being heard on all four stations,
- 43:41Speaker 2: whether you you know what I'm saying. We have four
- 43:43Speaker 2: urban radio stations in Atlanta that play It's Going Now.
- 43:46Speaker 2: All four of them play that song.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I think man a PD.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Can't even a boss can't say nothing about that.
- 43:54Speaker 1: That's just a part of it. It's a real current here. Yeah,
- 43:56Speaker 1: I get it.
- 43:57Speaker 5: I just think, honestly, man, it's one of those things
- 44:00Speaker 5: that I think I got a chance to see early on.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Lead by example, do not be afraid. And I think
- 44:08Speaker 5: having a father, the specialist type of father and mother
- 44:11Speaker 5: that I had, but in this particular instant instant my
- 44:15Speaker 5: father because I remember doing things that my older brothers
- 44:20Speaker 5: and uncle wasn't doing. What they weren't doing, and I
- 44:24Speaker 5: didn't like y'all not doing this. It's just like were
- 44:26Speaker 5: sitting around doing it. They playing, they playing video games.
- 44:29Speaker 5: I didn't want to play no video games. I want
- 44:31Speaker 5: to make some money. So you know, I'm doing whatever.
- 44:34Speaker 5: I'm selling shit, I'm going I'm cutting grass, I'm taking
- 44:37Speaker 5: our people trash, I'm watching your car.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Is it anything you need help with that you can
- 44:41Speaker 1: pay me for?
- 44:42Speaker 5: And I just started to realize that it was okay
- 44:45Speaker 5: to work because, believe it or not, the time it's
- 44:48Speaker 5: gonna take me to put it in work. It may
- 44:49Speaker 5: seem like a long time, but at the end of
- 44:52Speaker 5: my time, if it takes me eight hours, I'm gonna
- 44:54Speaker 5: have some of the show for my time. At the
- 44:56Speaker 5: end of your time of being lazy and not doing
- 44:58Speaker 5: anything or putting.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Forth effort, you ain't gonna have shit. Hmm. So that's
- 45:03Speaker 1: what made work easy for me. All right.
- 45:06Speaker 2: So we got we got like less than to him
- 45:08Speaker 2: minutes left. Let's do uh love versus money? Okay, you're good. Hell,
- 45:16Speaker 2: it is great, all right, appreciate you, John pulling up
- 45:21Speaker 2: on this. Gonna do balling at first, Yeah, let's do first.
- 45:24Speaker 2: All right, it is now time for ball of mal
- 45:29Speaker 2: dear ball alert. I recently got married to my lady.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I have one child from a previous relationship. She has
- 45:34Speaker 2: two from a previous relationship. We have one on the
- 45:37Speaker 2: way together. So I'm gonna say it again. I have one.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I have one child from a previous relationship. She has
- 45:44Speaker 2: two from a previous lationship. That's three already. They got
- 45:47Speaker 2: one on the way. So that's faulk, damn. Okay. The
- 45:51Speaker 2: father of her two kids reached out because he had
- 45:53Speaker 2: received an eviction notice because he has been out of
- 45:56Speaker 2: work for the past two months due to a terrible
- 45:59Speaker 2: work accident. She asked me to help him. I am
- 46:04Speaker 2: looking at her crazy what should I do.
- 46:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna pass that the you jock help him and
- 46:11Speaker 5: work capacity financially.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Financially, Hey man, I'm a real man.
- 46:16Speaker 5: And if you're a real man, if you done got
- 46:18Speaker 5: to the point where you're married now, you don't have
- 46:19Speaker 5: been through some changes in your life. And if you
- 46:22Speaker 5: could see past the insecurities of me helping out this
- 46:26Speaker 5: man that used to be inside of my wife, I
- 46:30Speaker 5: got these kids. You got to see past that because
- 46:34Speaker 5: it's still gonna affect me six degrees of separation. It's
- 46:37Speaker 5: gonna affect me because his kids live with me.
- 46:41Speaker 2: I would say, because anything I help him.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Do, it's got to come right back to you.
- 46:46Speaker 5: Not all of it, but a percentage got to come
- 46:49Speaker 5: back to support these kids.
- 46:50Speaker 1: For sure.
- 46:51Speaker 2: I would say, yeah, you know, as long as it's
- 46:54Speaker 2: a healthy co parenting style situation. If my wife this
- 46:57Speaker 2: is a good idea, I trust my wife. My wife's
- 47:00Speaker 2: an accounting bro, so like I actually trust her. So
- 47:03Speaker 2: if she thinks this is a financial smart decision that
- 47:06Speaker 2: I should make, I'm I'm gonna follow her lead, unless
- 47:10Speaker 2: if it backfires, then I don't. Like I've been it's
- 47:13Speaker 2: ain't a good idea.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I've been double before.
- 47:16Speaker 3: For me, it depends on the relationship that you have
- 47:21Speaker 3: with this person.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Facts.
- 47:22Speaker 4: If we ain't partners, if I ain't never spoke to you,
- 47:24Speaker 4: we're not cordial. Like I ain't helping you, bro, I
- 47:28Speaker 4: ain't the only person you know here anyway. You know
- 47:30Speaker 4: what I'm saying, Like I'm taking care of you, I'm
- 47:32Speaker 4: technically taking care of your kids anyways.
- 47:34Speaker 1: If he's been taking care of his children, that's what
- 47:37Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 47:38Speaker 5: That's the variable you can't leave out if he's been
- 47:41Speaker 5: financially sound here.
- 47:43Speaker 2: But let's just say it's in there because if she
- 47:47Speaker 2: if she has to ask for that, all right, I'm
- 47:51Speaker 2: trusting my wife. I'm just gonna trust my wife. That's
- 47:54Speaker 2: about it. Do I want to do it? No, But
- 47:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna trust my wife if she's calling, if she's
- 47:59Speaker 2: talking to me about this, and this is bad and
- 48:01Speaker 2: this is a long cool.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I got a lot of people see see my mind. Yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 5: my mind didn't go to give him money. My mind
- 48:10Speaker 5: said to give him the resources to get his own money.
- 48:15Speaker 3: In this particular situation, I think he asked for money.
- 48:18Speaker 1: If he asked for money, Okay, how much you need?
- 48:21Speaker 4: Yeah, man's too many people.
- 48:24Speaker 2: We add we added to it, but too many people
- 48:27Speaker 2: tear around like.
- 48:28Speaker 5: He needs ten racks, keep him getting evicted. Do my
- 48:33Speaker 5: kids go and stay with him?
- 48:34Speaker 2: So he asked a question. I'm just like you, I mean,
- 48:36Speaker 2: do my.
- 48:38Speaker 1: But these are my questions.
- 48:38Speaker 5: But does these two kids that y'all have do they
- 48:42Speaker 5: spend time with him?
- 48:43Speaker 1: Do they Is this a normal routine? Does he go?
- 48:45Speaker 1: Do they go and spend time?
- 48:46Speaker 5: I feel like to be had he gonna come and
- 48:50Speaker 5: spend time with his kids. It's kind of like baby
- 48:54Speaker 5: out because I'm taking care of his responsibility already.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I feel like I can't take care of his responsibilities
- 48:59Speaker 1: and him.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Correct, that's well, my wife has the discernment to even
- 49:03Speaker 2: know that before she bring that to me. First of all,
- 49:05Speaker 2: my wife wouldn't even bring it. In fact, man, I'm no,
- 49:10Speaker 2: there's a lot of variables to it. But no, no, no,
- 49:14Speaker 2: the appreciate you. We got love versus money?
- 49:18Speaker 4: Yep, all right, it is time for love versus money.
- 49:21Speaker 4: This is my favorite part of the show. This is
- 49:24Speaker 4: when I give you a couple and you decide is
- 49:28Speaker 4: they there for the love or for the money. So
- 49:31Speaker 4: we have Hailey Bailey and d d gyas both.
- 49:38Speaker 5: I think they were in a relationship for both reasons.
- 49:40Speaker 5: They both were successful. Apparently they were attracted to each other.
- 49:46Speaker 5: I felt like they loved each other. It seem like
- 49:47Speaker 5: they don't broke up.
- 49:48Speaker 1: No, but I don't know what. I don't know if
- 49:49Speaker 1: it's a ploy. I don't know if this is bait. Well,
- 49:52Speaker 1: they deleted all day, she deleted.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Man, I wonder what happened. Man, I will say it's
- 49:57Speaker 2: for love. I could tell they really loved each other.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I don't know. Can I be honest, Can I tell
- 50:04Speaker 1: you what?
- 50:06Speaker 2: I don't know what they say in this this movie.
- 50:08Speaker 2: The eyes Chico, they never lie, the eyes Chico.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 50:12Speaker 2: It's he really loves her.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I believe, and she like a good girl, she's successful.
- 50:19Speaker 2: They're so they're super young, and I feel like that's
- 50:22Speaker 2: super young love. It's hard to really stay on the
- 50:26Speaker 2: course of you know what. I'm just with you. You're
- 50:29Speaker 2: still learning yourself, you're changing, you're involving, especially when you
- 50:32Speaker 2: have a kid. A woman goes through a lot of
- 50:36Speaker 2: body changes. Mental man, I don't, I don't. I don't
- 50:43Speaker 2: handle this.
- 50:44Speaker 3: I don't think that's real love because I feel like
- 50:47Speaker 3: it may not be Okay, go ahead, this this is
- 50:49Speaker 3: just my take.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I feel like.
- 50:53Speaker 3: She kind of catapulted his career and to a mainstream
- 50:58Speaker 3: level because he was just a YouTuber.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Keep in mind, he was just a YouTuber, Yes he was.
- 51:04Speaker 2: He had he had a wreck, He had a record
- 51:06Speaker 2: on the radio. What songs I can't name.
- 51:08Speaker 3: The name three d G d d G songs.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Hey, it's that one song that was took to it
- 51:14Speaker 2: and off.
- 51:14Speaker 1: What we can't do?
- 51:16Speaker 2: What we can I feel like he had some good record.
- 51:18Speaker 5: We can't some people look by us if we can
- 51:21Speaker 5: uh name the song name of the song. Because apparently
- 51:24Speaker 5: whatever he did, he got past a lot of other
- 51:26Speaker 5: niggas with money and got to her who was who
- 51:28Speaker 5: was having real big motion and money.
- 51:30Speaker 1: But keep in mind she was, she was.
- 51:32Speaker 4: She was a fan of his YouTube show, and that's
- 51:35Speaker 4: how they ended up getting together.
- 51:36Speaker 2: But that, okay, so whatever I was just saying, that
- 51:38Speaker 2: wasn't just his only occuation.
- 51:41Speaker 4: Okay, what I'm saying was she was in a Little Mermaid,
- 51:46Speaker 4: you know the Little Mermaid.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Okay, she hasn't been motion just was what.
- 51:52Speaker 1: We gotta be got damn. In the Marvel movie facts Okay.
- 51:55Speaker 4: If that ain't the case, then I'm saying, I'm saying,
- 52:00Speaker 4: but why she why she ain't going date a regular guy?
- 52:03Speaker 5: Well, maybe let's say this, that's that's the same thing
- 52:07Speaker 5: I just said. Maybe because look at the people that
- 52:09Speaker 5: she's around. You think that these other guys weren't trying
- 52:12Speaker 5: to get to it. They also them girls was protected.
- 52:15Speaker 5: It was very protected for a long time for a
- 52:17Speaker 5: long time. So people that might have been trying to
- 52:19Speaker 5: get it her, they probably couldn't even penetrate for real,
- 52:22Speaker 5: for real. But were her interests lied? Were her true
- 52:25Speaker 5: interests lie like you just said, because I don't know,
- 52:27Speaker 5: but she really liked him, and she always like then
- 52:31Speaker 5: she's gonna gravitate to what she likes.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And if that is like, oh hell yeah, boom, we
- 52:36Speaker 1: got hey, we gotta assume.
- 52:39Speaker 3: But yeah, but you know what, last thing I would saying.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Last thing I would say is I really hope that
- 52:48Speaker 4: they didn't that they didn't break up, because we have
- 52:52Speaker 4: this whole narrative of black man. As soon as the
- 52:54Speaker 4: girl get pregnant, we leave, after the baby, come, we out,
- 52:58Speaker 4: you know what.
- 53:00Speaker 1: So I just I just hope that's that's that's not
- 53:02Speaker 1: I don't.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Think that's a race specific because boy, I know a
- 53:05Speaker 2: lot of races be doing the same. It'd be a lot.
- 53:08Speaker 2: I think that's ill.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Just be looking at the you know, I'd be looking
- 53:11Speaker 4: at the comments and saying, you know, listen, bro, one kid,
- 53:14Speaker 4: having one kid, Bro, it changes things.
- 53:17Speaker 2: It does it changes everything.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Sleep, and then how you view each other, how you rock.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Let's say quality time.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Say you my partner and were rocking out. Just what
- 53:26Speaker 1: we do. Me and my girl we go and gets
- 53:28Speaker 1: we go, get fucked up. That's what we do.
- 53:30Speaker 2: We gonna do the money.
- 53:31Speaker 1: No, we can't do that no more.
- 53:32Speaker 5: And then and then what happens is now I even
- 53:34Speaker 5: got to slow down doing what I'm doing because with my.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Camera, my camera on. You know, I had a whole
- 53:39Speaker 2: family t you know, I was on vacation, on vacation
- 53:41Speaker 2: with the kids and call that. You can hear me
- 53:43Speaker 2: in there. Did you know I had no cudding. I
- 53:46Speaker 2: was on vacation in Disneyland, no cudding, and my wife
- 53:49Speaker 2: got a nice little little little Georgia peak back then.
- 53:51Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I could barely get a
- 53:53Speaker 2: feel why because my babies was crying all the middle
- 53:56Speaker 2: of night.
- 53:57Speaker 1: I'm hungry.
- 53:58Speaker 2: The other one, Daddy, I need some ran out of
- 54:00Speaker 2: robus here.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta prepare for you got you gotta get your.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Had some kids, situationships in that house. And he over
- 54:09Speaker 2: here like damn, what the hell going on?
- 54:10Speaker 1: So you said he He's like, I gotta go.
- 54:14Speaker 5: No, because I'm just saying automatically that he left on
- 54:22Speaker 5: his own.
- 54:24Speaker 1: What if? What if the whole concept happened.
- 54:27Speaker 5: I had the child in the first place because of
- 54:29Speaker 5: a Disney contract. That was a major blow to her.
- 54:31Speaker 5: That was I said, maybe, no, no, maybe maybe because
- 54:39Speaker 5: idea that's right on the surface level. Yeah, it seems
- 54:44Speaker 5: like baby, but it could be like no, it wasn't that.
- 54:46Speaker 5: It was something else.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Hey, bro, hey, I gotta I gotta do something. Hey, look,
- 54:51Speaker 2: I gotta do something the kid.
- 54:54Speaker 5: I gotta do what you're gonna go?
- 54:59Speaker 1: Shoot the move.
- 54:59Speaker 5: I mean, I'm making money every day doing these podcasts
- 55:04Speaker 5: because he is.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Yeah, many fact and what happens.
- 55:08Speaker 2: I got twenty thousand dollars play tomorrow.
- 55:10Speaker 5: But not only that, I got your lifestyle and my
- 55:12Speaker 5: lifestyle is combined. Right, But guess what I got These
- 55:15Speaker 5: two cars out here, they farms, They costs and the
- 55:17Speaker 5: insurance on the costs and the gads go with them
- 55:19Speaker 5: is premium and my clothes.
- 55:21Speaker 1: So now it turns into what we're doing.
- 55:24Speaker 2: So that's what I'm saying, Like it's so many variables.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I just be like, you know, a kid.
- 55:29Speaker 5: Right, it's a lot, because a lot to say if
- 55:32Speaker 5: it ain't the kid, Yeah, what if it just turns
- 55:35Speaker 5: into like, you know what, we're just bad office friends.
- 55:37Speaker 5: We've we've grown, we've evolved, we've been talking about.
- 55:40Speaker 2: That's what I said. When you're young, When you're young,
- 55:43Speaker 2: I feel like when you have a when you're a
- 55:45Speaker 2: lot older age or very seasoned, you've done been through
- 55:47Speaker 2: some ship right right, you know exactly what you want.
- 55:51Speaker 2: You know what you'll put up with. You'll know what
- 55:52Speaker 2: you'll deal with when you're a kid. When that kid,
- 55:55Speaker 2: when you're younger, you you don't even know who slick,
- 55:58Speaker 2: who you're going to become until you be coming. Yeah
- 56:03Speaker 2: and I listen, I'm gonna give your flowers. Bro, you
- 56:06Speaker 2: have matured so much since I've known you, know you
- 56:10Speaker 2: just like, hey, now this guy right here, job bro,
- 56:13Speaker 2: Like like from when I first met you to now, Bro,
- 56:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't even think you would be as mature as
- 56:18Speaker 2: you are now. You still got a lot of work
- 56:19Speaker 2: to do.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Me neither.
- 56:21Speaker 2: But I'm just saying you're doing a great job. But yeah, man, John,
- 56:24Speaker 2: we appreciate you, brother.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Appreciate you job. My pastor was calling, we gotta get
- 56:28Speaker 1: to work anyway.
- 56:29Speaker 2: We're on the radio too. You know what I'm saying.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Everything everything good at home now, Everything is good.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Wife is cool. Yeah. I do like how you're smart.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Smart man. You talk about your family, talk about your wife,
- 56:41Speaker 2: you talk about your things on.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Your radio show, and you're in control of your own narrative. Listen, man,
- 56:47Speaker 1: good job. I just think, thank you.
- 56:49Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I just feel like, you know what, sometimes man, we
- 56:52Speaker 1: we we we lose out.
- 56:54Speaker 5: We lose out on the real of what we're really
- 56:57Speaker 5: going through because we're trying to go through so many
- 57:00Speaker 5: filters in this filtration process of what I think the
- 57:04Speaker 5: world want to hear about.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Well, the truth of the matter. We could talk about all.
- 57:08Speaker 5: The good ship that happens in your life on a
- 57:10Speaker 5: day to day basis, but everybody ain't experiencing good ship
- 57:13Speaker 5: on a.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Day to day basis, right about the one thing? One
- 57:15Speaker 1: thing about it is. People do go through hardships, people
- 57:18Speaker 1: do go through heartbreaks, you know what I'm saying.
- 57:21Speaker 5: And if you could be open, honest, and transparent about
- 57:25Speaker 5: those very common things that we all go through as
- 57:28Speaker 5: coming people, you will see that more people can relate
- 57:32Speaker 5: to you than trying to filter it out because then
- 57:35Speaker 5: you get it's this mystique and some people like I
- 57:37Speaker 5: like to keep them guessing. Yeah, okay, Well while they're guessing,
- 57:40Speaker 5: somebody over here is fucking winning because they're being open
- 57:42Speaker 5: and honest.
- 57:43Speaker 1: For sure.
- 57:45Speaker 2: That's Young Jock the ball Or Show
