Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: We don't need viral posts.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: We don't need a thousand bajillion million stories viewers.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: People like hold their hand in front of their mouth when I say this.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I've had like 30 to 60 Instagram stories viewers on average for the whole year.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: You know how much money I'm making?
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: As much as I fucking want to.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: If your Instagram stories and your Instagram DMs are pretty 16k hot, screamy leads, and you're not exactly at the sales pool you want to be at for this quarter, I've got you.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Hey sales friends, I'm Alyssa, your cheap sales gal.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I've been in business for 11 years, and I currently run a done for you lead generation and lead management agency with Instagram DMs.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I'm about to show you guys all of the juicy sales things on Instagram, Instagram stories to get new leads, and closing sales in the DMs and with sales calls.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: So let's get into all of the juicy details.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Hi guys, welcome back to the DM Sales gal.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I almost said happy October, but obviously you all know it's October.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Spin October.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: But if you keep feeling like it's going really, really fast, I'm gonna talk about something that I have held off on until episode 28 of this podcast, which is talking more about how we actually do done for you DM sales for clients.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: So, to go back for a second, I did something really crazy in bed.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Well, on Monday, it wasn't actually like dirty dirty.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I did something, well, this part of it isn't dirty, but I did something in bed on Monday, and I basically have decided and put down like an ultimatum for myself that for the rest of the year, as of like October 16th or so, like last Friday, for the rest of the year, I'm either working from bed or the couch in my pajamas or like at the park, and and that's it.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And I go in the office sometimes and like it's fine, I like my big monitor, but pretty much all I'm gonna do for the rest of the year is make sales and make fucking Instagram stories content from bed, and everybody else I have a now 20-person team for.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: So on Monday from bed, I had a lot of energy, and maybe because I was in bed, and because of that, I you know how you do things at the end of the year in Q4 where you still have like seven leftover tasks or 13 leftover like projects, and then we gotta narrow it down to like what of this shit actually needs to be done this year.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: This needed to be done this year, like last quarter, or Q2, Q2 or Q3, it's the latest.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: But it's Q4, so I fucking got it done.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: So, to get the FAQs that you guys ask me, all the questions that you ask about working together, of which there are many.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: 101 to be exact, to count from the last one month.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: So, you guys asked me 101 questions in the last month about working together, and those are just like me being really specific about different questions.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: A lot of you guys have asked the same questions.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not counting those.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: 101 unique questions.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So I took, I take screenshots when I'm going to the DMs when you guys ask questions, and you should do this too.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Because if one of you asks me a question about working together, odds are at least one, two, three, five, ten other people are gonna ask the same question.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: And I love you guys, but I'm also an impatient bitch, and I do not want to answer the same other fucking question 10 times in a row across like a three-day span in the DMs.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Nor do I want my team to do that.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I talked to my team, the DM team is now 13 strong.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Um, we had a man, we had a man on the team.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: He made it one week.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Brandon will miss you.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry that we outwomaned you.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: No, he moved on to something that was a better, better fit for him of where he was going.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: But, anyways, I talked to the team, of which, as of Monday, there are 13 of them active.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And I talked to the team a lot about sales efficiency.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: And like, I'm paying my team.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Like, I pay my DM team basing commission.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: So any minute they spend inefficiently is a minute I paid for.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So I don't think I want to deal with that shit across 13 people.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So I make the resources they need to sell, aka content.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: That's why I have my sales content carousels with an offer post.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: That's why I have case study posts.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: That's why we have fake use carousel posts.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: That's also why we have these podcasts that they'll send to people.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Um, what else am I missing?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I think that's mostly it.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: But specifically, one of the things I didn't want them to do in terms of FAQs.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: So if you guys know those are some of my top sales content pieces, and I'm saying this for a reason, because it's making us fucking money.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: At count, I think we're at over$45,000 in sales for the month, and it's October 21st.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: And literally, like, when I come to my desk now at 7 a.m., the team isn't like, you've got a hot lead.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: They're like, Kyra's closing, Christiana is closing.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, I think Nas also wants to close.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, now Liv is gonna close.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Like, I think we've gotten four multi-thousand dollar strike payments today.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: I made just over six thousand dollars cash in the last 24 hours.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: So it's working.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And most of you aren't doing this.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, do whatever the fuck you want, but this works.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: If you want to make sales, this works.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: It's literally just information.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: This is not like what I'm doing for the team and what I'm gonna go over for you guys.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And we can give you a template if you want to do this too.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: We're making new sales content carousel templates.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Emily Hester, my creative director, is making them.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: They shall be beautiful.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: In the meantime, I have carousel templates you can use.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: They look pretty good, they make money, and leaves will be way prettier, but these ones are gonna hold you over just fine.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of sales content, to go back, everything I make right now is either like there's some shit for shits and giggles for sure, not that much of it.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: I have a whole fuckload of content to put out that needs to be put out to make money, to be efficient for me and the sales team that I pay, so that we're not answering the same fucking questions over and over and over again.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And that's why I'm making content.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna go over how I did this, which is basically in the DMs, I took screenshots the entire month of October of every time people had a misunderstanding, had a misconception, had a concern, had a question, asked for proof on something.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: I took questions, I took screenshots of all those comments and questions, those conversations in the DMs, and then I put them into a Google Drive so that my whole team has access to them for content, for emails, etc.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: But that wasn't good enough, and it's a little bit messy because they're screenshots.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: So then I gave Google Drive, I gave the Google Drive folder to Claude and had her write out as many questions as she could glean from those screenshots.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Claude told me she fought to cut it down to 101.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: I told her to give me about 20 FAQs.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: She said, here's 101, we can't go lower than that.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Well, alrighty then.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Now I have my FAQs content planned for the rest of the year.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: I am going to put out an FAQs carousel holding as many slides as it can, which with a cover and an ender is about 18.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: So by mid-November, I should be finished putting these out.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Or I'll just put out a lot really fast.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: But all these questions buyers who have purchased have asked.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: So other people need to know them too.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: So in this episode, blah blah blah blah blah, that's why I'm making sales content.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: That's why I make FAQs care cells.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: I will give you guys a um template and you can use it as well.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: But that is why I do it.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: I told you how I did it.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I'm taking screenshots of the DMs of conversations and questions people ask.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And I always use this anecdote, this sassy recommendation.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I'm gonna go over the actual questions you guys have asked now that we know why you need to do it, that you can do it with the carousel, that we need to grab from the screenshots.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: And then the last thing that I was gonna say is this is like, I don't know who teaches you all this shit.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: They're like not as creative a problem solver as I am, I guess.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: I just think like it's Q4, we're closing sales over and over and over again every every single day.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Multiple sales for me, multiple sales for clients, just closing and closing and closing.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And like, there's a whole camp of people for Q4 that think I need to slow down means I barely do anything, and I'm not like that.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: And my team isn't like that, and my clients aren't like that.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I can have a work-life balance.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: I can work from bed for four hours and still make 45 grand in new sales.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: And if I can do it, that's why I'm telling you this, then you can do it too.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: My pajamas ain't any better than your pajamas.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: I just order new pajamas.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: My pajamas, let's just say, like, I don't feel like when I put my like pajamas on that my husband is like, mm, yeah, like I need some new pajamas.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: So I spent$457 at Aerie.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: This is a great anecdote.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Side note.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: Um, I spent$457 at Aerie to order new like athleisure and sweaters and like three pairs of pajamas.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: My husband was like, What Alyssa is telling me a shopping story?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't go shopping, okay?
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I still didn't go shopping, but I ordered shit online.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I told him this and then he was fucking laughing by the end.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And my husband isn't like a oh my god, shopping story is this so funny.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: Like, no.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: But I told him this story, and he even he was fucking laughing.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: So regarding pajamas and making 45 grand in my pajamas that needed a refresh, I placed an airy order on Sunday morning at like 8 17 a.m.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: As we do.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I was finally finished after like two hours of fucking scrolling through airy shit and sales and blah blah blah blah blah.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: And so I placed this order and our last apartment in Louisville, Kentucky, the apartment number was 309.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Now in Denver we're 308, but I have autofill on my computer.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: So when I put in the billing address for this old card that has registered my old address at Aerie, I put in apartment 308 or whatever my new one is.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Didn't match.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: They canceled the entire fucking order.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: You know what happens when they cancel your AI order?
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: You can't replace it.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: You can't place the order again.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Just everything that I had was gone.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: Like I worked to compile that order.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm a business owner.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I weeded it, I fine-tuned it, I prioritized it, I went up a size in all the tops when I decided, like, I know my tits aren't gonna fit in here.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: So I did all of that, and then my order gets cancelled, and you can't oh computer, you can't actually like replace it online.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: So I call Ivan at Customer Support.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And this guy is so nice and like so like diligent and like great customer service, and like you know, he's like laughing meat with me and like commiserating that my order got canceled.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Like, oh man, I'm so sorry.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: That must be frustrating.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: So Ivan tells me he can replace my order with just the click of a button.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Oh fuck yeah, Ivan, sweet.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I was like, you're the best.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: He goes to like click the button, he was like, oh no, because this order was canceled previously, I'm gonna have to confirm the order items with you.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, but I know in my head, and Ivan knows from the computer, it's 18 items.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Just imagine a man on the phone with you on a Sunday morning reading off each airy piece like this.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Berry bloom, frilly for spring, women's sexy top.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Like, like that, like dark juniper with whole cutouts, high-waisted trouser bottoms.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Just fucking ridiculous shit.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Anyways, back to the money.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: So, anyway, I have all these questions down for sales content so that I can do more DM sales from bed and with sexier pajamas.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Hopefully they come.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: Ivan did his magic.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: I'm going to tell you guys some of the top FAQs that I've gotten of late.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: So, let's get into them.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: I'll try to pick like uh let's see, I'll try to pick like 10 or so for you guys that I think are the best.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: So, number one, I ask everybody the same questions when they inquire before you guys can ask me questions.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: I'm having this conversation with an inbound lead right now, and uh she's like, ask me this, that, and the other, and this, that, and the other.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: I'm like, girl, go back to question one.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: I need to know before you ask me anything.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: I need to know, will my offer be profitable for you?
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: I won't sell this to you if I don't think you're gonna make a profit.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Not sales, a profit.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: I was just looking at my profit margins so far for the month.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: So, like, I'm so, so into it.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Finally finished my fucking bookkeeping.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: And people are like, oh my god, I don't see your own fucking bookkeeping.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: Girl, I'm not like doing the actual bookkeeping.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: I'm just making sure that the expenses for the rest of the month are planned because I decided to spend more money on more people.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm just like putting the money in the right bucket.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: It's like, let's all calm down.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: That being said, I am going to hire some more help for it.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: So that's coming.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the first thing that I ask people is what's your sales goal?
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: What's the offer price?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: How many do we need to sell to get you there?
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: I can't tell you anything until you know that.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: So I have to know that first.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Sometimes people want four new clients, sometimes they want 10 new clients, sometimes they want 50 new members, sometimes they want a hundred new members of like a group program or membership.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: So those are my initial questions for you.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: If you're listening to this and you don't know those questions, like you could recite them before a coffee in the morning, then we need to fucking fix that.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna hit your goals if you don't know your goals.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: You might hit them, okay?
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Like, you like pretend you're like Sally the influencer, you know, whatever.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Go for it, whatever.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: But my people that I work with want predictable revenue.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm getting old, I'm 34, I want like all of the words that are like stable, safe, predictable, routine.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, give me that.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: I wanna know that I'm gonna wake up on a Wednesday at 7 a.m.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: and more fucking thousands of dollars are in my bank account.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: That's really fun for me, right?
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: I'm like ordering fucking eggs benedict, ordering eggs benedict at like 8 17 on a Monday and like 10.30 on a Wednesday, like because I know I'm gonna keep making money.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: I know what my goal is, I know we're almost already past it.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I know how much profit I've made this month, profit, not sales, profit.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: So I want you guys to know the same.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: When you're in my club, when you're like one of my clients, or skip the sales call, which is it is finally coming.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I promise.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I I will still be wearing my pajamas when I get back home from the park, but I will finish the motherfucking copy for the page.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: It's not the fucking sales page, guys.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: It's like all the infrastructure, like fucking circle and heartbeat.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: I can't, I fucking hate it.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I don't want to log in, I don't want you guys to log in.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Like, pretty sure we're gonna land at like you sign up and here's like the calendar, and you get it on your calendar, and that's it.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: This is a paid sales calls, paid sales masterclasses membership.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: So I'm not having a group chat.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Anyways, that's all gonna be ready.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: But people that are in my membership, my group programs, my clients, they know their sales goal.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: They know how many like offers that they need to sell to get there because they know what their main offer is, and we know how much profit they're gonna make.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Those are questions for you to think about before I answer the rest of these.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Then, after we go through sales goals, what's your actual lead situation?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: At this point, I have educated so much on people already know, like not knowing that they already have leads that you guys have really caught on to that, and I fucking love that for you.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Like incoming people that are signing, I could just like go back down the list, are like, yeah, I think I might have no leads, I might have 10 leads, I might have 50 leads.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Then they come in and we go from like, if you're Melissa, you go from like 79 when you started to 4,000 because we pulled in all of her digital products and all our past launches and all our past sales events and all of her past speaking leads when they came to like, you know, she was a guest speaker in a program, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So there's definitely more leads than you think.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: But I need an actual number.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: I need to know like how many weeds do you think they have?
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Are they hot?
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Are they warm?
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Have you talked to them within the last one to four weeks?
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: That's the second piece of information I need from you guys.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Um, and for my vacuum cleaner is having a conversation with itself, or else one of the other, like, you know, non-living appliances is talking to another one.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Anyways, so then we need to know how many leads that you have, and they need to be in a tracker, and I need to know how recently you've talked to them.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: And then I also really want to know a question that my clients usually know: how long does it take your average buyer to buy?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: That's a really easy question to solve, the answer for.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And then we track it.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: We track date first contacted and like date last contacted and any dates to follow up.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: So, like, if I know that, like, you know, it took three months for this person to sign, three days for this person to sign, three weeks for this person to sign, all that is in our tracker.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: But before you guys get to that point, if you're not there yet, you can add this form field into the template I give you guys.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: I'm also working on updating those resources.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: There are more resources coming, like our sales content plan is gonna be updated with the threads prompts from the previous challenge.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: We're gonna make that a freebie.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: You guys, most of you probably already have the threads leads machine freebie.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Um, right now our lead tracker is a freebie that's gonna be updated.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: That's available though, and it's always in our show notes links.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And then threads leads machine also to get leads from threads, that's available.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: It's in our show notes.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: And then the sales content plan is coming soon.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: But, anyways, in our lead tracker that you guys have, I don't think there's a form field for like, you know, how long it took to purchase, but you can add one.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: I'll also have like if it's a little simpler than that, just to like go fast if you need to, we have date first contacted, and then I have date of sale, and you just do the math.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: If that's one month, three months, three years, whatever.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: But if you can look at at least three of those, like let's say Cassie is your client.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: When was the first time you talked to Cassie?
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: If we gotta get really granular about it, let's say Cassie is like ear be biffle and business bestie, but then it became a sales conversation.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: When did it become a sales conversation?
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Is when I would mark that by if you had to get really granular.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Um, so when did it become a sales conversation versus when did she purchase?
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: And that's your buyer timeline there.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: I would do that at least three to five clients, and then we know how long it takes them to sign.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: So I want you guys to know your sales goals, your sales goal, the average offer price sold, and then how many do we need to get to the sales goal?
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I want you to know your lead situation.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: How many leads do you have in your tracker, ideally, that you've talked to in the last one to two weeks?
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And we can pull past sales calls, past applications, past hot DM combos, past referrals if you want to reach out for referrals.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Um, what am I missing?
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, people that came to a sales event that opted into your list that have the Instagram form field, people that got a freebie that have the Instagram form field.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: You guys have told me, like, oh, well, it's too late to add an Instagram form field.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: What the fuck are you talking about?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: What are no one is like watching your email list.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Like, it's too late to add that field.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: No, you're fine.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Just add the fucking Instagram form field.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: And then I have clients too, like, who are coming in for their sales event.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: They're like, well, I didn't do it.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: It's too late now.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: People already signed up.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Who the fuck cares?
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Add it for everybody else that signs up after those people.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: That's lead situation.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: And then what does your sales data say?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: So, how long does it take your buyer to buy and what's your conversion rate?
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Both are super helpful, all those things for us to know.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, now let's get into rapid fire.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: I'll do 10 questions.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna do the first ones in order.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: And I'm looking at my FAQ's carousel on my page.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: So if you want to see more of these, we will link them in the show notes also.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, um, this one really pissed me off.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: That's why I put it first after the questions for you guys.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Um, love the people that said this.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: It's just like, please don't spread the wrong word around.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, it's not completely wrong, it's just a little misleading.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: So I had lunch with a colleague in Denver the other day, and she told me that this other lady that I'd met once that I talked to was telling people that like we get leads from ads and then close them in the DMs, which is like close, not really, though a few of our clients run ads.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, I would say maybe 10-15% over the last year or so.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Not that many.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: 10 to yeah, 10-15% of all the dozens of clients that we've had this year.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Um, but even if our clients are running ads and leads like come our way, what it sounds like in that sentence is like they get leads from ads and close them in the DMs, is that we run ads.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Guys, we don't run ads.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: I have like two clients right now that are fucking awesome, Annie and Melissa, and they both do ads.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: We've also worked with Ashley Cruz, who also does ads, but we're not doing ads for our clients.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: And at present, neither one of our clients who do ads are doing ads for our clients either.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: Like, we can provide that service and refer it to our clients, but we're not running ads.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: To get you leads.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Like we just go in real old school and fucking going and talking to people.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Laura, my email marketer, who's going to listen to this podcast and make emails on it, and you guys love it when I mention you and say crazy shit about you.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Um, Laura has heard me say this so many times that she can regurgitate it now, which is just talk to people.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: That's why I have a job.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: I'm good at talking to people.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I think it's really easy if you're like some of my clients, you either think that it's boring or you don't want to or it's hard.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's any of those things.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: I fucking love it.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I love talking to people all over the US and the UK and Australia.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: My awesome team member, Masha, right now, is in Japan and keeps sending me like the fucking craziest pictures.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what is happening behind you?
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: There are like big ball sacks.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Masha, that's for you.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: There's like big glass ball sacks.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a conversation starter.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Like, where are you with those big glass ball sacks?
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Like, I truly want to know.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I've never seen so many giant balls, just fucking balls everywhere in like mirrors.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know what she's doing over there, but she's having a great time.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Alright, so where do your weeds come from?
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Not just ads, mostly not ads, just that real old school situation where someone starts a conversation with somebody else.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: That's really how we're doing it.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: So that's number one.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: And then um, the actual answer to that question is that we're getting them from I didn't answer it.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: We're getting those leads from your Instagram stories viewers, from your comments and likes on your usually your latest nine grid posts.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: But if you had one that did really well or failed for a sales event or a collab or a launch, then we can go look at those specific ones too.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Our clients might get like featured in a magazine or a guest speaker or spoke at an event in person or whatever.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: So we'll look at your Instagram stories, viewers, we'll look at your feed comments and likes, we can look at your new followers and your followers.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Then over on the threads, pretty much the same thing.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: We except minus Instagram stories, but we'll look at your comments and your likes, we'll look at your followers, your new followers, but also we're looking outside of your own threads.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And I told our wonderful new client Sandra today, of which we have two Sandra's, but I told Lily Sandra today that we will also like go find people outside of your own um threads, and like we don't necessarily need to be commenting with them.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah, I don't want to like go comment on everyone's fucking post.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: We don't need to necessarily comment on all of them.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna like start DM conversations from that thread.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: So that's that piece.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Um, also, if you have opt-ins for a sales event or a freebie or a challenge or virtual guest speaking or in-person guest speaking, and we have an Instagram form field, we can find those people too.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: A lot of our clients have like a diagnostic quiz as a freebie.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Those are so easy to follow up on because like they asked for something, you gave them like a minimal result, and now we can go further into it.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: So that's where the leads come from.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Um, and then people are like, this one also drives me crazy.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Um, I saw you get leads from threads.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: What if my my threads don't perform?
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Guys.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm not the person you talk to if you think that you need viral content to make money.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: You all can go take a gander at my feed.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Apparently unbeknownst to me, but benowns to Christiana Garza.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: We passed the a new client and friend.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: We passed the like 4,000 mark of followers on Instagram and like party.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: We ordered more chicken wings.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Like, not really, we were already fucking ordering chicken wings.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: I promise you how many fucking followers I get doesn't make a fucking difference to my sales.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: You know what does?
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: More people in the DMs.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: More people in the DMs.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: I have 4,000 followers.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: I could have 5,000, 10,000.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: I'm talking to someone right now who has 14,000.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: You know how much infrastructure she has set up for sales in her DMs?
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Not as much as she would like to.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: And you know what I told her?
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: It's because it's not a fucking one-person job.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: It's not.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: If you want to monetize your audience, if we want to do business influencer speak, but you guys say this too, it's actually, I mean, it's pretty smart.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: I hate the language, but it's pretty smart that you guys are recognizing, like, oh, I have 100, 200, 323 followers, and I can make money if I go talk to those people.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: You know what happens when you have 3,000 followers, 4,000, 14,000?
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: You have a fuckload more people to sift through to try to actually find people that want to work with you at that time.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: So I am not about the viral anything.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I don't give a fuck about the fucking trial reels.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: I don't understand what a trial reel is.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: I don't give a shit.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I don't need anyone to explain it to me.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: It we already have reels, like what the fuck?
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: What?
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: No, I'm fine.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: But we don't need viral reels, we don't need viral posts, we don't need a thousand bajillion million stories viewers.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: People like hold their hand in front of their mouth when I say this.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: I've had like 30 to 60 Instagram stories viewers on average for the whole year.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: You know how much money I'm making?
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: As much as I fucking want to.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: The numbers don't matter.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: The people behind the numbers do matter.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: People will tell me that are like web designers, copywriters.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Everybody in my stories is a web designer, a copywriter.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Cool, go get more people.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: Go on threads, go find people you like, follow them, damn them, they're gonna come follow you.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: That's all you need to be doing, like in in that regard.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: But for threads and viral fucking content, you guys need to watch Threads Leads Machine the Training.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: If you haven't seen it, most of you who watched it did, or who got it, did watch it because you told me so, which is really nice.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: If you didn't get it, I'd recommend getting it.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: It's free.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: If you did get it and you haven't watched it, I'd recommend watching it.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: But I post shit on threads.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love I put a lot of shit on threads.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: I put like a stripe screenshot on threads this morning because I woke up to a fuckload more money than I didn't know I was gonna make, and I was stoked about it, and get to pay the team a fuckload of commission, like a thousand dollars more commission to them in two days.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Um, we're paying the whole team early to incentivize for October, and let me tell you, it's working, and I wish I did it even sooner.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: So, threads.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: We don't need viral threads.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: What I need you guys to do and what I've done is post shit on threads.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: Yes, I do have like a fucking loose formula about it.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: I learned everything I know from Taylor Lane, then I made it my own, and you guys can get the whole like I think it's like seven parts of the threads leads machine.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Um, like the types of threads I make, those like seven different categories are in threads leads machine, but don't listen to this and think, oh my god, I gotta go do threads.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: You don't have to post anything on threads.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: I don't give a fuck if you have a blank account.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: That's like inadvisable.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: You should have three posts up, probably at least.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Taylor would probably come kill me for saying this, but she's not here right now.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: She's in Guatemala.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Um, so, anyways, if you put some threads up, great.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: You know what ever got any traction on my threads is because I engaged a fuckload on other people's threads and I DMed them, started real relationships, and now they comment and tag people on my threads too.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: But please, again, you guys are gonna default to your like past traumatic content self.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I have to learn a new content strategy.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: You can listen to the fucking threads leads machine and you can use those five categories.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: Taylor Lane has a course, you're welcome to take it too.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: But if you don't want to make a fuckload of content, there are still leads right for the pick in, right in those other people's threads.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: I got very little traction, like no likes, no comments on threads for months, like three plus months.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Then I met Taylor Lane and shit changed, truly.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: But you can be making content or not, and it does not have to perform in any certain way for you to make money on threads.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: I was using threads last year.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: I don't think I was fucking posting anything.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: I was still signing like$2,700 Legion VIP clients, like two out of the three that I posted trying to get them.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: So again, if I can do it, you guys can too.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: But all that to say, like, I saw you like get leads from threads, what if mine don't perform?
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Will you write them?
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not, no.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: And also, I will not perpetuate this fucking like propaganda that you need to be like a threads wizard to make money on there.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: No, you need to go comment on other people's threads and then DM them.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: But we do that for you.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Am I gonna get to this one soon?
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna skip to the point.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Um, I made it through three, guys.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: There's like 19 of them, 18 of them.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: The last one I wanna cover.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: My big business influencer people with 10k, 15k, 30k, 200k followers, they keep asking me this.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Again, I think like we just like talking like business influencer speak versus business owner speak.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Like, we gotta meet in the middle, like these two parties as opposed to the two current US parties.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: But these two parties, between business influencers and business owners, can meet in the middle.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: So the business influencer set of leads of ours asks.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: So you just do like cold outreach?
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: Please scrap that from your memory and pretend that you never heard it.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: Cold outreach, like, does that sound fun to you?
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Do you think I would have fun doing that?
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Like, do you think my entire team of 13 are like, oh sweet, it's 7 15 a.m.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Cold outreach time?
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: Like they're not.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: They're not like that.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: They wouldn't be on my team.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: We don't use any AI.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: We are not using any like AI bot or platform that sends automated messages.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: We are not going in and pitching people, we are not mass blasting.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: So think like no, none of the pitches like, hey Alyssa, I saw you made$80,000 bajillion dollars in three seconds.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: My service can save your life.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: None of those.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Cross that one out.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Number two, no AI.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: Number three, no mini-chat AI.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: Number four, no mass blasting people the same message.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: We don't do any of that.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: If any of you have ever spoken to me or my team, that's how we speak to your leads.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: We start a real conversation in a real relationship.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: We introduce ourselves within the first two or three at the most messages, and we see if this is someone that you can help, and then if they want that help and ask consent.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: I've never done cold outreach, not the way you guys are thinking of it.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: I would never, ever call that my job.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: I'm vehemently against it.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: If you couldn't tell, but you guys don't actually like words like lead generation or cold outreach or even sales if it's an if it's a verb, or selling.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: Like we're building real relationships with people that you could help and representing you as your team.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: So, no, no cold outreach.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Ooh, one other one that I just thought of from my uh networking call for proximity marketplace today.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: Lovely gal Nikki asked me, oh, so you guys are like setters.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: I didn't know there were setters for business owners or something to that effect.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Yes, there are setters for business owners, and no, we are not setters.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: I I don't book sales calls for the majority of our clients because they don't want to do them for group offers and one-on-one.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Almost every client, either we're closing in the DMs for them or we pull them in to close.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I think like of all of the clients of fucking like Q3, if I categorize that entire quarter, like we booked like four sales calls.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: Everybody else closed in the DMs.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: Like for our clients, their leads closed in the DMs.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Emily did like make sure this is a right fit call.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: So maybe 10 across a quarter.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Um, but those people were already pre-sold.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: But anyways, the majority of our clients and clients moving forward don't need sales calls.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: So scrap, cold outreach, scrap, my threads have to go viral, scrap, I have no leads, scrap, they're gonna set sales calls for us.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: So I did that and switched to only DM sales.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: And if we need sales calls, then I have someone who can do that for me on my team.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: I mean multiple some ones, but that's the last one I was gonna cover.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: Alright, we'll be booking fast.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Uh final updates.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Um, we went from taking two clients per week for pretty much the entire year.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: I started that mid January, and then it was three per week, which was insane, and they all had a sales event within five to seven business days.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: And now, as of next week, we're taking four new clients in a week.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: And I was selling a final fourth spot and then realized that the team had already booked it uh while, like literally, actually, while I was sleeping, like booked it and sold it and closed it.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: So, really, our next start date is November 3rd or November 10th.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: We will take three or four at the most, ideally, um, each week for the rest of the year.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: So we take clients each Tuesday, but November 3rd, 10th, and then probably 17th are the next couple of dates.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: So we still have our$7.50 a month done with you, lead generation.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: We have our$1,500 a month done for you, where we can actually close in the DMs for you.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: And the lowest cost of all those, the$750 a month, can be broken down into an extended payment plan for$250 to$500 a month with our Klarna payment plans.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: So we still have spots November 3rd, 10th, 17th for lead gen and sales support.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Um,$750 a month is the lowest one, but it can be extended to$250 to$500 a month.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: And then we also do finally have skip the sales call paid masterclasses coming.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: It will be ready either today or tomorrow.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Thursday is the 22nd.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: And we are gonna have the first call next week.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: Um, we're gonna do it quick and dirty, like I like.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, if you guys have questions about any of the questions I asked you, or any of the questions you guys asked me, or about working together, just shoot us a DM.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: You can say you came from podcast episode 27 and you want to talk about how we can work together, and we will do the rest.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: We will be here.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, guys, happy near mid end of October.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: I'm wishing you guys all the sales vibes, and I'm here for questions, and we have as many people in the DMs as we currently can, and more coming, so we will get back as fast as we possibly can.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'll talk to you soon.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: Bye you guys.
