- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie. It is time for us to
- 0:02Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always I invite
- 0:06Speaker 1: you to join me in prayer. You know, sometimes we
- 0:09Speaker 1: just need rest rest, yes in the physical, sometimes we
- 0:13Speaker 1: just need rest or our weary souls. And that's what
- 0:17Speaker 1: I want to pray about on today, Heavenly Father, we
- 0:20Speaker 1: come before you, honestly God, if we can be totally transparent, tired,
- 0:26Speaker 1: not just in body but in spirit. God, we're weary
- 0:30Speaker 1: from carrying burdens that never seem to lighten, from fighting
- 0:35Speaker 1: battles that don't end quickly, from showing strength when our
- 0:38Speaker 1: souls are craving rest. Lord, you see us. You know
- 0:43Speaker 1: how tired we are. Father, Your word invites us, saying,
- 0:46Speaker 1: come to me all who are weary and burden, and
- 0:49Speaker 1: I will give you rest. So today we come laying
- 0:54Speaker 1: down the weight of responsibility. We come God, laying down
- 0:58Speaker 1: the pressure to perform. We come laying down the fear
- 1:02Speaker 1: of falling short and the pain of seasons that have
- 1:06Speaker 1: stretched us. So fin Lord, give rest to the one
- 1:11Speaker 1: worn down by grief and loss. Give rest, God to
- 1:14Speaker 1: those who wake up tired from missing what once was.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Give rest to the ones who are weary God, from
- 1:22Speaker 1: worry and anxiety, whose mind never seems to slow down.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Give rest, God, to the one who's exhausted by caregiving,
- 1:34Speaker 1: pouring out for others while neglecting themselves. Give rest to
- 1:38Speaker 1: the one tired of waiting, waiting on answers, waiting on healing,
- 1:42Speaker 1: waiting on change. Give rest to the one carrying emotional pain,
- 1:46Speaker 1: all wounds and unspoken hurts. Give rest to the one
- 1:50Speaker 1: dreamed by financial stress, work pressure, or family responsibility. Father,
- 1:56Speaker 1: quiet the noise in our minds and calm the storms
- 1:59Speaker 1: in our heart. Teach us how to rest, not just
- 2:02Speaker 1: by stopping, but by trusting. Help us to believe that
- 2:07Speaker 1: we don't have to hold everything together because you already are.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Restore what exhaustion has taken. Renew our strength, Refresh our souls. God,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Let your peace settle deep within us, peace that doesn't
- 2:22Speaker 1: depend on circumstances but your presence. God, Lord, Lord Lord,
- 2:27Speaker 1: help us to release what you never meant for us
- 2:31Speaker 1: to carry alone. Teach us God to lay our burdens
- 2:34Speaker 1: at your feet, to leave them right there. Remind us
- 2:37Speaker 1: God that rest is not weakness, it's in obedience and
- 2:41Speaker 1: trust to You as we rest, in you. God, restore
- 2:44Speaker 1: our joys as we rest in You. God, renew our
- 2:47Speaker 1: hope as we rest in You. Prepare us for what
- 2:50Speaker 1: lies ahead. God, we receive your rest right now. Rest
- 2:54Speaker 1: for our bodies, Rest for our minds, and rest for
- 2:58Speaker 1: our weariest souls. And the gentle and faithful name of Jesus. Amen, Amen,
- 3:04Speaker 1: and Amen,
