- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories,
- 0:12Speaker 1: of the podcast that takes listener ideas and turns them
- 0:16Speaker 1: into bedtime stories. Tonight, we're finally headed back into the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Dragon Knights universe, a place we haven't been in a
- 0:24Speaker 1: while because, I guess mostly because there's just a bunch
- 0:27Speaker 1: of stories I wanted to do, and I was waiting
- 0:30Speaker 1: on somebody to give me a really good Nature Dragon
- 0:34Speaker 1: General suggestion, and I finally got it, so let's check
- 0:38Speaker 1: it out.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Him Martin, It's Roan from rised Bridge, Ontario, Canada, and
- 0:45Speaker 2: I have nice inner stories for the Dragon Knights series.
- 0:51Speaker 2: For the Nature Dragon General's backstory, I think it's good.
- 0:55Speaker 2: If like, there was a girl named Vine. She got
- 1:01Speaker 2: lost in the forest when she was really little, and
- 1:05Speaker 2: she found a cave and a ventured inside where she
- 1:09Speaker 2: found a small dragon. The dragon name was Bloom. The
- 1:15Speaker 2: Bloom could make anything grow anytime or anywhere. Bloom protected, fed,
- 1:23Speaker 2: and cared for Vine until her family found her. The
- 1:28Speaker 2: connection was strong, that was no doubt. Years later, the
- 1:32Speaker 2: Dragon King attacked Vine's village, capturing Bloom. Vine pretended she
- 1:38Speaker 2: was not a Dragon Master Dragon Knight to be part
- 1:44Speaker 2: of the dragonon King's army with Bloom by her side.
- 1:47Speaker 2: But thanks, I love your podcast.
- 1:49Speaker 1: By great suggestion from Rowan, who is also one of
- 1:53Speaker 1: my Patreon's sponsors, and it fits really well with another
- 1:57Speaker 1: Nature Dragon general suggestion I got from Millie who did
- 2:02Speaker 1: the Water Dragon general suggestion, so I think I can
- 2:05Speaker 1: fit this all together. Other than I did have to
- 2:08Speaker 1: talk to Rowan about changing the name of the main
- 2:10Speaker 1: character because Vine is already the name of the Nature
- 2:14Speaker 1: Dragon of the series, and she agreed that Violet would
- 2:17Speaker 1: be fine, so that's what we're gonna go with today.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'd also like to give a big shout out to
- 2:23Speaker 1: Ibrahim who wrote in to see if I was gonna
- 2:26Speaker 1: continue this series at all, so that gave me a
- 2:29Speaker 1: bit of a kick in the pants to start. Anyways,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I spent a good amount of time putting all of
- 2:35Speaker 1: those ideas together into what I think makes sense for
- 2:39Speaker 1: the series, and I hope you guys like it, because
- 2:43Speaker 1: now it's that time again, after a possible word from
- 2:46Speaker 1: a possible sponsor, close your eyes, get as comfy as
- 2:52Speaker 1: you can in that bed, and well imagine yourself doing
- 2:58Speaker 1: what the dragon Jim General in the story does. Before
- 3:06Speaker 1: Violet was ever called the Nature Dragon General, and before
- 3:12Speaker 1: she stood beside the Dragon King with a silent nature
- 3:17Speaker 1: dragon under her command, and before anyone believed she'd betrayed
- 3:22Speaker 1: everything she once loved, she was just a little girl
- 3:27Speaker 1: lost in the woods. The forest where Violet grew up
- 3:32Speaker 1: was no ordinary forest. It was old, older than most villages,
- 3:39Speaker 1: older than most roads, older than anyone's great grandmother's great grandmother,
- 3:46Speaker 1: which is generally considered quite old by anyone listening. Violet
- 3:51Speaker 1: loved it. Her parents, however, loved it a little less.
- 3:55Speaker 1: When Violet wandered off too far into the woods stayed
- 3:59Speaker 1: near the bath. Her mother would say, don't follow strange noises,
- 4:06Speaker 1: her father would add, and Violet always, you know, meant
- 4:10Speaker 1: to listen. She really did. But one afternoon, when she
- 4:15Speaker 1: was still very young, she heard a sound between the trees.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It wasn't a voice exactly, It wasn't really music, but
- 4:25Speaker 1: it was something kind of between the two, almost like
- 4:29Speaker 1: the roots were humming beneath the ground. She stopped picking
- 4:34Speaker 1: berries and looked deeper into the woods. The sound was
- 4:40Speaker 1: calling to her.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Now.
- 4:44Speaker 1: In her defense, most children would probably have ignored a
- 4:47Speaker 1: mysterious forest sound, but Violet was not most children, and
- 4:53Speaker 1: this sound had something special. It really felt like it
- 4:58Speaker 1: was talking to her, so she followed it. At first,
- 5:05Speaker 1: she only went a little bit off the path, but
- 5:07Speaker 1: then she went a little more and a little more,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and before long she'd completely left the path and well
- 5:17Speaker 1: lost all track of where she was going. But she
- 5:21Speaker 1: continued to follow the sound until her legs ached. The
- 5:26Speaker 1: rain soon began to fall, and Violet ran for shelter,
- 5:31Speaker 1: pushing through wet ferns and thick vines until she failed
- 5:36Speaker 1: a rocky hill almost completely hidden by roots, and there,
- 5:42Speaker 1: tucked behind hanging moss was a cave. She hesitated for
- 5:48Speaker 1: a moment before stepping inside, but luckily the cave was dry,
- 5:56Speaker 1: at least near the entrance. As she continued to move
- 6:00Speaker 1: deeper into the cave, she noticed that the walls weren't
- 6:03Speaker 1: rough like a normal cave. They were smooth, carved with
- 6:08Speaker 1: patterns of leaves, branches, and roots. This isn't just a cave,
- 6:15Speaker 1: she whispered, Somebody made this place. A soft green glow
- 6:23Speaker 1: answered from deep inside, and for some strange, inexplicable reason,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Violet continued towards it. The tunnel opened into a round chamber,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and sitting in the center of it was an egg,
- 6:43Speaker 1: a really big egg. It was green and gold, with
- 6:47Speaker 1: little vine like lines growing on its shell. Violet stared
- 6:52Speaker 1: at it. She knew what it was before anyone told her.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Everyone knew stories of dragon egg, even if most people
- 7:01Speaker 1: never expected to see one. Dragons were real in her world.
- 7:06Speaker 1: After all. Dragon knights were real too, but they belonged
- 7:11Speaker 1: to the strongholds, legends, and important people, not people like Violet. Nonetheless,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Violet stepped closer, and the egg pulsed with light. Something
- 7:26Speaker 1: inside her chest pulled back too. She reached out and
- 7:32Speaker 1: touched the shell. At that instant, the egg cracked. Green
- 7:39Speaker 1: light filled the chamber. The shell split apart, and from
- 7:45Speaker 1: inside a little, tiny dragonling with bright green scales climbed out.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It blinked in Violet, and Violet blinked back. You know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: very small, the dragon said. Violet gasped. You can you
- 8:07Speaker 1: can talk? Of course, I can talk, the dragon replied,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I am a dragon talking as one of the easier
- 8:15Speaker 1: things to do. Violet stared for another second. I'm lost,
- 8:24Speaker 1: she said. The dragon ling tilted her head.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I know.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You know, yes, I could feel you coming. You followed
- 8:34Speaker 1: the roots. I followed a sound, she said. That was
- 8:41Speaker 1: the roots, the dragon said, or the earth, or or me.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It's hard to tell. Everything's connected. Violet didn't understand that yet,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but the words settled in her chest like something very important.
- 8:56Speaker 1: The dragon ling stepped closer. My name is Bloom, she said,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and you are my dragon night. Violet looked behind herself,
- 9:10Speaker 1: just in case there was like another person standing there
- 9:13Speaker 1: or something, but there.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Was no one.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Me.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yes, Bloom said you. Then a light burst between them.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It was a warm light. It felt like sunlight shining
- 9:31Speaker 1: through leaves. It felt good as it hit her, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: suddenly she felt something else. She felt the dragon's heart
- 9:42Speaker 1: beat beside her own. She felt the roots of the cave,
- 9:47Speaker 1: the moss on the stone. For one impossible moment, she
- 9:53Speaker 1: felt everything living around her as if well as if
- 9:58Speaker 1: it were all par of the same, well the same her.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Then the light faded. Violet looked down at her arms
- 10:11Speaker 1: and legs and saw that she was covered in armor. Armor.
- 10:18Speaker 1: She recognized armor she'd seen pictures of before and story
- 10:23Speaker 1: books Nature dragon knight armor, and at her side was
- 10:30Speaker 1: a natured dragon Knight's sword. I'm really a dragon knight now,
- 10:39Speaker 1: she asked, Yep, you sure are, and I'm hungry. Violet
- 10:45Speaker 1: looked around the cave, Well what do you eat? Bloom
- 10:50Speaker 1: sniffed the air and crawled around. Then she opened her
- 10:55Speaker 1: mouth and took a bite out of a thick green vine. Plants,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Bloom said, life, sunlight, stored in leaves, water stored in fruit, roots, vines, flowers, seeds,
- 11:09Speaker 1: It's all really good to me. Over the next few days,
- 11:15Speaker 1: Violet and Bloom stayed near the cave. Bloom eight and
- 11:20Speaker 1: Violet learned a bit about her powers. She learned how
- 11:24Speaker 1: to call and dismiss her dragon knight armor, how to
- 11:29Speaker 1: use her sword and shield, and she learned a little
- 11:32Speaker 1: bit about her connection to the earth itself from Bloom.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Of course. At the same time, Violet's parents searched desperately
- 11:42Speaker 1: for her. The whole village searched, but the forest was
- 11:47Speaker 1: deep and the rain had washed away her tracks. Bloom
- 11:52Speaker 1: took care of her. She grew berries from empty soil.
- 11:57Speaker 1: She curled vines into a soft bed. She made giant
- 12:01Speaker 1: leaves bend together into a roof, and when Violet was
- 12:06Speaker 1: sad at night time, Bloom curled around her like a
- 12:10Speaker 1: warm blanket. You'll see them again soon, Bloom promised. How
- 12:16Speaker 1: do you know, Violet asked, the forest brought you to me.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I will not keep you from them forever. Soon I
- 12:25Speaker 1: will be big enough to fly. They will be easy
- 12:28Speaker 1: to find after that. And Bloom was right. She grew
- 12:35Speaker 1: quickly as dragons did. Every day she ate leaves, roots,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and flowers, and every day she became stronger and larger.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Soon she was large enough for Violet to ride through
- 12:51Speaker 1: the forest, though not quite large enough to fly yet.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Together they started to wander further from the cave, and
- 13:02Speaker 1: Bloom tught Violet about her nature magic. How to listen
- 13:07Speaker 1: to the plants, how to listen to the animals, how
- 13:11Speaker 1: to listen to the forest itself, and how to control it,
- 13:17Speaker 1: how to ask it to do what you wanted it
- 13:20Speaker 1: to do. By the time Bloom was large enough to fly,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Violet was one with the forest. She was no longer
- 13:30Speaker 1: afraid of it. She felt like she belonged to it
- 13:34Speaker 1: and in it. One morning, Bloom lowered herself beside the cave.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I think it's time, she said, so Violet climbed onto
- 13:48Speaker 1: her back, holding on tight as Bloom ran through the
- 13:52Speaker 1: trees and leapt into the air, spreading her wings and
- 13:58Speaker 1: pulling the two of them higher and higher until they
- 14:01Speaker 1: were well above the green canopy. Violets saw the forest
- 14:07Speaker 1: from above for the first time. It stretched forever in
- 14:12Speaker 1: every direction, rolling like an ancient ocean of leaves. Blooms
- 14:18Speaker 1: circled once and then well. She followed a poll that
- 14:22Speaker 1: only she seemed to understand. Less than a half hour later,
- 14:28Speaker 1: they landed in a clearing near Violet's village. Violet's mother
- 14:34Speaker 1: saw her first. She dropped the basket she was carrying,
- 14:39Speaker 1: and she screamed Violet's name as she ran to ward.
- 14:43Speaker 1: There were tears, of course, and there were hugs, and
- 14:47Speaker 1: there were questions, and there was also a lot of
- 14:52Speaker 1: staring at Bloom. Words spread quickly. A child had returned
- 14:58Speaker 1: from the deep forest riding a nature dragon. A message,
- 15:03Speaker 1: of course, was sent to the Nature dragon knights. They
- 15:07Speaker 1: would want to know about this. Three days later they came.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They came from the jungle region, where these strongest nature
- 15:17Speaker 1: dragons and their riders trained among the enormous trees and
- 15:22Speaker 1: ancient sacred groves. Their armor gleamed green, their dragons moved
- 15:30Speaker 1: like living forests, and they examined bloom, they examined Violet,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and they bowed a true bond. Their leader said, the
- 15:45Speaker 1: dragon has chosen. Violet's parents didn't want to lose her again,
- 15:51Speaker 1: but the Nature Dragons explained that Violet needed training not
- 15:56Speaker 1: because she was being taken from her family, but because
- 15:59Speaker 1: the bond she carried was powerful and sacred. She was
- 16:05Speaker 1: bound for better and more important things, And so Violet
- 16:11Speaker 1: went to the Jungle Region. She grew up there among
- 16:16Speaker 1: the Nature dragon Knights and the Nature Dragons. The Jungle
- 16:22Speaker 1: region was even wilder than the forest of her childhood.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Trees rose up higher than she'd ever seen, rivers curved
- 16:32Speaker 1: through glowing flowers, and in the center of it was
- 16:36Speaker 1: the Nature Dragon's Stronghold, an entire village that was sort
- 16:42Speaker 1: of wound together out of tree branches, roots, and vines.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Food grew everywhere, and it was incredibly peaceful, at least
- 16:55Speaker 1: most of the time. Violet trained, learned how to make
- 17:01Speaker 1: plants grow from the ground. She learned how to command
- 17:05Speaker 1: vines in battle, how to form her shield using her
- 17:10Speaker 1: dragon Knight armor, how to grow fruit instantly, and even
- 17:15Speaker 1: how to heal things. Trees, people animals. It was an
- 17:22Speaker 1: advanced technique, but one that many seasoned dragon knights learned.
- 17:29Speaker 1: If they could command plant cells, they could also command
- 17:34Speaker 1: animal cells to heal. Once they saw the connection between
- 17:39Speaker 1: all living things anyways, her trainers soon learned that Violet
- 17:45Speaker 1: saw that connection. She saw it almost better than anyone else.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Violet became powerful. In fact, she became magnificent. She became
- 18:01Speaker 1: one of the strongest natured dragon knights the world had
- 18:06Speaker 1: ever seen. Together with Bloom, they could grow forests and minutes.
- 18:14Speaker 1: They could command plants to move like waves. They could
- 18:18Speaker 1: speak to animals across the jungle and call for their help.
- 18:24Speaker 1: But on top of that, Violet had another gift, one
- 18:30Speaker 1: that made even the oldest dragon knights whisper, one that
- 18:36Speaker 1: came only once in every generation. She could speak to
- 18:42Speaker 1: the Earth itself, not the earth the way earth dragons
- 18:48Speaker 1: felt it as like stone and stuff. Violet could feel
- 18:53Speaker 1: the life inside it. She heard the threads that connected it,
- 18:59Speaker 1: the connections between every growing thing, every creature, every breath.
- 19:07Speaker 1: When she stood barefoot and sacred soil and closed her eyes,
- 19:13Speaker 1: she could feel the whole jungle breathing, and then the
- 19:17Speaker 1: whole world. Sometimes it guided her. Sometimes it warned her,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and sometimes it showed her things she did not want
- 19:29Speaker 1: to see. When the first word came of the dragon Thief,
- 19:36Speaker 1: many knights dismissed him as a dangerous wizard and nothing more.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And then darker news came, news that some elemental dragons
- 19:49Speaker 1: had fallen to this dragon thief. Violet went alone to
- 19:56Speaker 1: the most sacred place in the Jungle region, a circle
- 20:01Speaker 1: of ancient trees so old that even dragons lowered their
- 20:06Speaker 1: voices among them. She knelt in the center and pressed
- 20:11Speaker 1: both hands into the ground. Show me, she whispered, and
- 20:17Speaker 1: the earth answered. Violets saw fire, She saw dragons with
- 20:25Speaker 1: empty eyes. She saw water turned to ice and ice
- 20:31Speaker 1: shattered by flame. She saw nature burning. She saw riders
- 20:39Speaker 1: running away as their own dragons turned against them. And
- 20:44Speaker 1: then she saw something else too. She saw hope. She
- 20:51Speaker 1: saw eggs, hidden eggs, a future generation of eggs, children
- 21:00Speaker 1: finding dragons in caves and mountains and swamps and storms,
- 21:06Speaker 1: just as she had, true dragon knights rising when the
- 21:11Speaker 1: world had almost forgotten them. Violet opened her eyes with
- 21:17Speaker 1: tears on her face. She had been shown the path
- 21:22Speaker 1: to balance, and she hated it because the path didn't
- 21:27Speaker 1: show victory. Now it showed survival, preparation, waiting betrayal. But
- 21:39Speaker 1: it was the only path, so Violet began to follow it. First,
- 21:46Speaker 1: she called a secret meeting of the dragon Knights Sect Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Nature,
- 21:53Speaker 1: and the remaining elemental dragon Knights. They all sent leaders.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She stood before them in the Jungle Temple and told
- 22:04Speaker 1: them only part of the truth. The world is changing,
- 22:09Speaker 1: she said. The dragon Thief is doing something we do
- 22:14Speaker 1: not understand. If we fall, the future must not fall
- 22:19Speaker 1: with us. Each sect must hide one egg, one egg
- 22:24Speaker 1: of each kind, protected by distance, in secrecy, waiting for
- 22:31Speaker 1: a rider not yet born or not yet ready. Some argued,
- 22:37Speaker 1: some believed it was cowardice. Some believed that the dragon
- 22:42Speaker 1: Knites could never possibly fall. Violet didn't tell them what
- 22:47Speaker 1: the Earth had shown her. She didn't tell them that
- 22:51Speaker 1: their battle was destined to fail. She only said that
- 22:56Speaker 1: hope is not cowardice. The seas must be planted just
- 23:02Speaker 1: in case, And in the end they listened. They hid
- 23:08Speaker 1: their eggs one by one. The future was planted in secret.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Then the war came for the dragon Knights. By then,
- 23:20Speaker 1: the Fire dragons had fallen, the Water Stronghold had gone
- 23:26Speaker 1: and even some of the earth dragons that were found
- 23:29Speaker 1: in the mines with the fire dragons had been turned
- 23:34Speaker 1: by the Dragon Thief's army. Violet knew the attack was
- 23:39Speaker 1: coming before the scouts did. She felt it in the roots.
- 23:44Speaker 1: The Nature dragon Knights prepared to fight well. Violet prepared
- 23:50Speaker 1: to disappear. She removed her armor with a simple thought,
- 23:56Speaker 1: and she dressed in the clothes of a servant. She
- 24:01Speaker 1: even rubbed a little bit of dirt on her face
- 24:04Speaker 1: to sell the whole thing. Blooms stared at her. No,
- 24:11Speaker 1: Bloom said yes, Violet insisted, you know they will take me.
- 24:20Speaker 1: We both know they'll take you. We know they have to.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You're right, Bloom said, and you will have to let
- 24:32Speaker 1: them for a while. Violet responded a long while. The
- 24:40Speaker 1: battle began at dawn. Fire dragons burned the edge of
- 24:45Speaker 1: the jungle. Flames raced up ancient trunks. Water dragons froze
- 24:50Speaker 1: defenders in place, trapping wings in armor and ice, and
- 24:55Speaker 1: Earth dragons ripped trenches through root systems, shadow living walls,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and sending stones firing at Nature dragon knights. The Nature
- 25:08Speaker 1: Dragons and their knights fought with everything they had. The
- 25:13Speaker 1: Jungle itself rose to defend them. Vines grabbed riders, trees
- 25:18Speaker 1: bent to block fire, roots pulled dragons from the sky,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but the dragon Thief's control spell moved like poison. One
- 25:29Speaker 1: by one, nature dragon stiffened and turned. Then Bloom was taken.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Violet felt the bond vanish not break exactly, but well,
- 25:48Speaker 1: it was blocked, buried beneath something, something else. Bloom's eyes
- 25:56Speaker 1: went empty, and Violet nearly screamed, but instead she lowered
- 26:02Speaker 1: her head and kept carrying water buckets like a terrified servant.
- 26:09Speaker 1: When the fortress fell, the dragon Thief offered the survivors
- 26:14Speaker 1: a choice swear loyalty or be taken prisoner. Many refused.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Violet stepped forward and bowed, I will serve.
- 26:28Speaker 3: She said.
- 26:30Speaker 1: The dragon Thief barely looked at her at first, but
- 26:34Speaker 1: Violet joined the army as one of the many survivors.
- 26:39Speaker 1: She was quiet, obedient, but very very powerful. When her
- 26:47Speaker 1: first training match came, a soldier twice her size laughed
- 26:52Speaker 1: when she stepped into the ring. He stopped laughing when
- 26:56Speaker 1: Violet put him on the ground in about three seconds.
- 26:59Speaker 1: The next one lasted five, and the next almost ten.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Violet had trained as a dragon Knight, and even without
- 27:09Speaker 1: Bloom's power flowing through her, she knew how to move,
- 27:13Speaker 1: how to balance, how to strategize, and how to fight.
- 27:19Speaker 1: The Dragon King noticed, bring her forward, he said, after
- 27:25Speaker 1: the first tournament. Violet bowed low. You fought well, he said,
- 27:33Speaker 1: for a servant. Thank you, your majesty. Violet replied, So
- 27:41Speaker 1: you served the dragon knights, Violet led, bitterness enter her face.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Not too much, just enough. I served under them, she said,
- 27:55Speaker 1: like many did. His eyes sharpened, and you loved them,
- 28:02Speaker 1: Violet laughed softly, No, your majesty, they loved themselves enough
- 28:10Speaker 1: for everyone. Always speaking of balance, always acting as if
- 28:16Speaker 1: growing trees made them wiser than those who grew food
- 28:21Speaker 1: or carried water. They're holier than now. Speeches became rather tiring,
- 28:28Speaker 1: if I'm honest, The dragon King smiled, So you were
- 28:36Speaker 1: glad that I came a Violet bowed deeper. I'm glad
- 28:42Speaker 1: someone finally reminded them that power doesn't belong only to
- 28:47Speaker 1: those born with their precious connections to dragons. That was
- 28:55Speaker 1: the lie that saved her, or well, maybe doomed her,
- 28:59Speaker 1: depending on now you look at it. The Dragon King
- 29:02Speaker 1: believed it. I believe you'll make a very good servant.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You may choose a dragon. Violet walked among the captured dragons.
- 29:19Speaker 1: She pretended to study them carefully. She paused beside Bloom
- 29:24Speaker 1: only after looking at several others. Violet laid a hand
- 29:30Speaker 1: against her scales and felt the buried bond tremble beneath
- 29:35Speaker 1: the spell. This one, Violet said. The Dragon King nodded,
- 29:43Speaker 1: Then you shall command it. The false connection was placed
- 29:49Speaker 1: in Violet's mind. It felt horrible wrong, but through it,
- 29:57Speaker 1: Bloom lifted her head. Violets swallowed her pain and climbed
- 30:04Speaker 1: onto the dragon's back. From that day forward, Violet rose quickly.
- 30:11Speaker 1: She could no longer call on Bloom's power through a
- 30:15Speaker 1: true bond, but she knew nature dragons better than anyone
- 30:20Speaker 1: in the Dragon King's army. She knew how to use vines, rudes, spores, flowers,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and forests as weapons. She helped defeat the remaining Earth
- 30:33Speaker 1: stronghold after the Water Dragon General's plan weakened them. She
- 30:39Speaker 1: helped take the Air Dragon's stronghold, growing forests of vines
- 30:44Speaker 1: into the sky itself and forcing wind dragons into predictable paths.
- 30:52Speaker 1: She became the Natured Dragon General and everyone believed she'd
- 30:59Speaker 1: betrayed the old ways. Sometimes, alone at night, Violet would
- 31:05Speaker 1: sit beside Bloom and place one hand against the earth.
- 31:12Speaker 1: She couldn't hear it like she did before, but she
- 31:16Speaker 1: could still feel whispers. She knew that somewhere out there
- 31:23Speaker 1: there were children who were not yet ready, eggs that
- 31:27Speaker 1: were not yet hatched, and knights that had not yet gathered.
- 31:33Speaker 1: So she waited. She waded through years of serving a
- 31:39Speaker 1: king she hated. She waited while people feared her name.
- 31:44Speaker 1: She waited beside a dragon who could not speak back.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Because someday the true dragon Knights would rise again, and
- 31:56Speaker 1: when they did, they would need someone inside the Dragon
- 32:01Speaker 1: King's army. They would need someone who knew what she knew,
- 32:08Speaker 1: someone who remembered the old ways. So she waited, and
- 32:17Speaker 1: eventually she got word that her waiting was not in vain,
- 32:24Speaker 1: that a new group of children had hatched a new
- 32:28Speaker 1: group of eggs. They'd taken over the Fire Dragon Stronghold,
- 32:37Speaker 1: the Water Dragon Stronghold, and next they were coming for her.
- 32:44Speaker 1: She went to bed, knowing that it was time, knowing
- 32:50Speaker 1: that she would wait no longer.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Good Night, everyone, Nevernon m.
- 37:21Speaker 4: N new Yor n n no mom thing, more mo
- 46:07Speaker 4: M one, one mo
- 50:00Speaker 2: M
