- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to Mark Simone on woor Well, I just to
- 0:11Speaker 1: get you today, if you're a Democrat, cover your ears
- 0:14Speaker 1: for a minute. Inflation numbers look pretty good. New inflation
- 0:17Speaker 1: reports coming up coming out in the last day or
- 0:20Speaker 1: two looking pretty good. This inflation was expected to rise,
- 0:25Speaker 1: it did not. There's all kinds of good news on
- 0:28Speaker 1: the economy. That's why the stock market is up a
- 0:30Speaker 1: bit right now. Oil down. It has been dropping like
- 0:33Speaker 1: a dollar a gallon, a dollar a barrel for the
- 0:37Speaker 1: for the last couple of days. It's at eighty dollars
- 0:40Speaker 1: right now, which is not low, but it's not real
- 0:42Speaker 1: high either, So things are pretty good. Caroline Levitt, as
- 0:46Speaker 1: you know, leaving the White House, white House press secretary
- 0:48Speaker 1: of people asking why, Well, it's a tough job. See
- 0:54Speaker 1: a lot of things about this job you don't realize.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You see her at the podium there holding the daily
- 0:58Speaker 1: briefing for an hour. You know that's it. Well, the
- 1:01Speaker 1: job is twenty four to seven, and press secretaries will
- 1:04Speaker 1: tell you it is about the most grueling job in
- 1:07Speaker 1: the world. It's very intense. Obviously during that briefing where
- 1:12Speaker 1: you got those fake news vultures screaming at your clawing
- 1:15Speaker 1: at you. That's annoying. But the rest of the day,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you got to sit in meetings and you got to
- 1:19Speaker 1: go to every department, everything in everything, everything the present encounters.
- 1:25Speaker 1: You got to go sit in the meetings, learn everything,
- 1:27Speaker 1: sit through briefings with these departments. And then you get
- 1:30Speaker 1: phone calls at home day and night, twenty four to seven.
- 1:35Speaker 1: They'll wake up at three in the morning from a
- 1:37Speaker 1: situation room because they got to inform you of everything
- 1:40Speaker 1: that happened. Sophie. Iranians fire a missile at the base.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You get a call at three am saying here's something
- 1:46Speaker 1: you should know in case you're asked you they'll give
- 1:48Speaker 1: you all the details so it can be all day Saturday,
- 1:51Speaker 1: your phone is ringing with calls from various departments. I
- 1:54Speaker 1: want to give you all the latest that just happened.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And you know, she's twenty eight, she just had her
- 2:00Speaker 1: second child, little baby at home, and you're getting these
- 2:05Speaker 1: calls around the clock. Whatever you're trying to do on
- 2:07Speaker 1: the weekends, you're getting the call every half hour that
- 2:10Speaker 1: you got to take about something and the other thing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's a long job. It's you know, the White House.
- 2:16Speaker 1: These people get there like seven in the morning at
- 2:18Speaker 1: the White House. That's the whole thing about DC and government.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They're all up early, they go to sleep early. That's
- 2:25Speaker 1: why there's no nightlife in DC. Very little. There's very
- 2:28Speaker 1: few hot places, restaurants, and people are asleep by ten
- 2:33Speaker 1: o'clock and they're up at six or five. But it's
- 2:36Speaker 1: a tough, tough job, especially with President Trump. He makes
- 2:40Speaker 1: it even tougher because he works long hours. So normally
- 2:43Speaker 1: if you could get out of there by five or six,
- 2:45Speaker 1: with President Trump at seven or eight before you get
- 2:48Speaker 1: out of there, and if you're a young mother and
- 2:51Speaker 1: you just had your second baby, a little baby, so
- 2:54Speaker 1: I can understand it. He's got a wealthy husband. She's
- 2:57Speaker 1: going to continue in politics. President Trump has said she'll
- 3:01Speaker 1: be an outside advisor. Now. Apparently what they want to
- 3:04Speaker 1: use her for is, I mean, he doesn't need a
- 3:08Speaker 1: lot of advice from her, but they want to use
- 3:10Speaker 1: her to help with election campaigns. Midterms are coming up.
- 3:15Speaker 1: A lot of people thought this was strange. You normally
- 3:18Speaker 1: would wait till after the midterms before you resign, but
- 3:22Speaker 1: some people think the President will be using her to
- 3:25Speaker 1: help out some of these candidates. Some of these campaigns.
- 3:28Speaker 1: She'll probably help and volunteer with the RNC and work
- 3:32Speaker 1: with them so she can continue in politics, continuing government,
- 3:36Speaker 1: continue working, but it'll be part time now and have
- 3:39Speaker 1: time to spend with her new child. And she got
- 3:43Speaker 1: two kids now, one just a couple months old, so
- 3:46Speaker 1: it should work out for her. Hey, something's going on
- 3:49Speaker 1: with Luigi Mangione. You know, they had that hearing yesterday
- 3:52Speaker 1: and that was the final hearing before the trial which
- 3:56Speaker 1: would begin in September. So that was the final hearing.
- 4:00Speaker 1: That was it. That was to settle all the little
- 4:04Speaker 1: disputes about this and that before they begin trial in September.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But all of a sudden, now there's a hearing tomorrow.
- 4:10Speaker 1: There's going to be a hearing tomorrow. All of a sudden,
- 4:12Speaker 1: they called this new hearing, So most people think that
- 4:16Speaker 1: means a plea deal is coming, some kind of plea
- 4:19Speaker 1: deal is coming tomorrow. Luigi Mangione has all kinds of
- 4:23Speaker 1: arguments about this evidence should be allowed in this witness.
- 4:28Speaker 1: The kind of stuff butt every inch of Manhattan. It's
- 4:31Speaker 1: covered with surveillance cameras, every inch, So if you're doing
- 4:35Speaker 1: anything and we're in midtown Manhattan, the shooting was right
- 4:38Speaker 1: over there on that corner, and it's right next to
- 4:41Speaker 1: the New York Hilton, which is actually the biggest hotel
- 4:45Speaker 1: in New York and in Manhattan. And if you're anywhere
- 4:50Speaker 1: around there, you're on ten different surveillance cameras. So you
- 4:54Speaker 1: can see him shoot, the hospitals, the healthcare CEO, you
- 4:58Speaker 1: can see the shooting, you can see him flee, you
- 5:01Speaker 1: can see the whole thing, this video of the whole thing.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So there's no possible way out of a conviction. So
- 5:08Speaker 1: that would explain why he's finally going to take a
- 5:10Speaker 1: plea deal, and the plea deal he's going to have
- 5:12Speaker 1: to plead guilty. The plea deal would have to do
- 5:18Speaker 1: with sentencing. So I mean, for this cold blooded assassination,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you're talking life in prison. A lot of states, you're
- 5:26Speaker 1: talking in the electric chair. So the plea deal has
- 5:29Speaker 1: got to be something less than life in prison or
- 5:32Speaker 1: some kind of accommodation in prison. But we'll find out
- 5:35Speaker 1: tomorrow they have this plea agreement, will be supposedly that's
- 5:41Speaker 1: what it is happening tomorrow. Hey, Also tomorrow President Trump
- 5:45Speaker 1: goes to Long Island. It's going to be a big event.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Apparently there'd be like a thousand people in the audience.
- 5:50Speaker 1: He'll make a big speech, He'll say all kinds of
- 5:53Speaker 1: great things about Bruce Blakeman. He'll unveil all kinds of
- 5:56Speaker 1: crime statistics. He brought crime down nation wide, but he
- 6:01Speaker 1: also dramatically brought it down in Washington, DC. Blakeman has
- 6:05Speaker 1: been great with the crime in Nassau County, so we'll
- 6:08Speaker 1: talk about that. Peter King will be there with him,
- 6:10Speaker 1: Joe Cairo, a lot of VIPs coming in from all
- 6:14Speaker 1: over to be in that audience tomorrow. But remember it's
- 6:16Speaker 1: going to cause massive traffic headaches in Long Island. He'll
- 6:20Speaker 1: be coming to Kennedy Airport at two and then heading
- 6:24Speaker 1: out to this event which begins at three, and then
- 6:26Speaker 1: I guess leaving there four four point thirty, So a
- 6:29Speaker 1: traffic nightmare in Long Island. The event is near Eisenhower Parks.
- 6:34Speaker 1: If you're anywhere around that area, expect traffic headaches tomorrow. Hey,
- 6:40Speaker 1: speaking of crime, we had a great luncheon with Julie Menin.
- 6:43Speaker 1: She's the city council speaker. Now you got this crazy
- 6:48Speaker 1: mom Donnie Era and all this Mom Donnie craziness, but
- 6:53Speaker 1: she she's a Democrat, but she's a very moderate, common sense,
- 6:58Speaker 1: level headed democrat. City council speaker is clearly the second
- 7:03Speaker 1: most powerful person in New York. Some would argue, in
- 7:06Speaker 1: many ways can be as powerful as the mayor. So
- 7:09Speaker 1: having her in there is a great thing. But she
- 7:12Speaker 1: went through the crime statistics. Remember yesterday we played the commissioner,
- 7:16Speaker 1: murder is down, crime is down, murder is down, shooting
- 7:20Speaker 1: is down. Well, as she pointed out, subway crime is up,
- 7:26Speaker 1: robbery is up, rape is up. Hate crimes are skyrocketing,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and the majority are Jewish hate crimes. So there's a
- 7:35Speaker 1: lot of work that needs to be done. It's great
- 7:38Speaker 1: that the murder is down and shooting is done, but
- 7:40Speaker 1: you got to get that subway crime down. How do
- 7:42Speaker 1: you do that? Well, the NYPD, they do great stuff,
- 7:46Speaker 1: but they don't have enough people. Cut the size of
- 7:49Speaker 1: the police department down, it's dangerously low. It's got to
- 7:53Speaker 1: be much much higher. So she's fighting for that to
- 7:56Speaker 1: get more cops. You know, Mom, Donnie is one of
- 7:58Speaker 1: those defund the police kind of idiots. But the city
- 8:02Speaker 1: council has a lot of power, so they can get
- 8:04Speaker 1: the funding. You may see more cops and that would
- 8:07Speaker 1: bring the other stuff down. Not to mention, you gotta
- 8:11Speaker 1: have ICE. You gotta have ICE run around and get
- 8:14Speaker 1: the criminals off the street, many of them illegals. And
- 8:17Speaker 1: that's what's important now. You know, crazy Kathy Hochel and
- 8:22Speaker 1: the state legislature passed this law earlier this year that
- 8:29Speaker 1: nobody in the government, no county, no mayor, nobody's allowed
- 8:32Speaker 1: to cooperate with ICE. And of course it's the most ludicrous, stupid,
- 8:37Speaker 1: ridiculous thing you could ever pass, but that's the law. Now,
- 8:40Speaker 1: you can't cooperate with ICE. Nasau County under Bruce Blakeman
- 8:45Speaker 1: extreme cooperation with ICE. They partner with ICE to help
- 8:49Speaker 1: get the illegals off their streets. That's one reason crime
- 8:52Speaker 1: has come way down in Nassau County. So when the
- 8:55Speaker 1: President comes tomorrow to speak at this event at the
- 8:59Speaker 1: Nasau County Police Academy, he's going to address that Blakeman,
- 9:04Speaker 1: smart guy, he'd be a great governor, found ways to
- 9:07Speaker 1: still work with ICE even with that law, to still
- 9:10Speaker 1: cooperate because they want to get their illegal criminals off
- 9:13Speaker 1: the street. So the President will address that tomorrow. He's
- 9:16Speaker 1: also apparently going to really let Mom Donnie have it
- 9:20Speaker 1: for that Pieta tear tax, the world's dumbest tax, this
- 9:24Speaker 1: stupid Pieta tear tax. They try this every so often,
- 9:27Speaker 1: these Democrats. Remember about ten years ago, maybe it was
- 9:31Speaker 1: more fifteen years ago. Remember they were going to tax
- 9:33Speaker 1: the private jet owners. That was the big thing back then.
- 9:36Speaker 1: They're going to tax those private jet owners. It was
- 9:40Speaker 1: a big crusade for like six months until they kind
- 9:43Speaker 1: of realized if you're going to go after the private
- 9:46Speaker 1: general it's like seventy five people. It's like it's not
- 9:49Speaker 1: enough to mean anything. You don't raise much money from.
- 9:51Speaker 1: This same thing with the Pieta tear tax, first pushed
- 9:56Speaker 1: by Andrew Cuomo. Remember was Andrew Cuomo that began pushing
- 9:59Speaker 1: this Pieta tear texts. But if you went after these
- 10:03Speaker 1: Pieta tears, it's not that many. You know, it was
- 10:06Speaker 1: estimated seventeen thousand. So they posted all the names and
- 10:09Speaker 1: addresses online and the name's posted with nine hundred thousand.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Well that's everybody in New York. It's ridiculous. It's every
- 10:17Speaker 1: apartment owner practically. So at first it was thought to
- 10:21Speaker 1: be only seventeen thousand. Now it's probably going to be
- 10:24Speaker 1: a lot less than that because they've made a lot
- 10:26Speaker 1: of mistakes on that list. Hey, speaking to mom, Donnie's
- 10:29Speaker 1: going on vacation now, the crazy wife is taking a
- 10:32Speaker 1: vacation in Syria, Lebanon. He says he's taking a vacation upstate,
- 10:41Speaker 1: upstate New York. Well where upstate, Well, he won't say.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He will not say where he's going upstate the vacation
- 10:51Speaker 1: and what is it a vacation from what? Does he
- 10:53Speaker 1: do all day vacation from what? But it'll be August sixteenth,
- 10:59Speaker 1: When is that? That's Sunday. It'll be August sixteenth through
- 11:04Speaker 1: the twenty third. So he's taking next week off. Next
- 11:09Speaker 1: week he'll be off. First Deputy Mayor Dean Fulahan will
- 11:13Speaker 1: run day to day operations, which he does already. Fulahan
- 11:17Speaker 1: was the deputy mayor under Bill de Blasio. So you'll
- 11:21Speaker 1: see that kind of stuff. Mom, Donnie declined to say
- 11:25Speaker 1: exactly where he was headed. Now, what do you think
- 11:29Speaker 1: his idea of upstate is? That's probably the bronx oh
- 11:32Speaker 1: for him, upstate the Yonkers, that's really upstate for him,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Some people argue, believe it or not, The real New
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yorkers argue that once you're in Westchester, you're already upstate. Now.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Of course, if you're in Westchester, that's not upstate to you.
- 11:46Speaker 1: That you're just outside. You're in New York suburbs, is
- 11:49Speaker 1: what it is. But when he says upstate, no, now,
- 11:55Speaker 1: some think this wacko mom Donnie his political future. He's not.
- 12:01Speaker 1: He wasn't born in the US. He wasn't born in America,
- 12:03Speaker 1: so he can't run for president under the law. Some
- 12:06Speaker 1: think senator. But who knows, maybe governor. Maybe he's going upstate.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Maybe he really is going upstate. You know, if you
- 12:12Speaker 1: want to be governor, you got to really explore upstate
- 12:15Speaker 1: and know it. Well, maybe that's why he's headed there.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Who knows he's NYPD NYPD detail will go with him.
- 12:25Speaker 1: This guy's a big, big, big TikToker. So imagine we'll
- 12:29Speaker 1: be seeing a lot of stuff on TikTok from his
- 12:32Speaker 1: upstate vacation. Just be prepared a morning. You now, you're
- 12:35Speaker 1: going to see him in one of those lumberjack shirts.
- 12:39Speaker 1: You're going to see him kayaking, You're gonna see that
- 12:41Speaker 1: kind of stuff. Probably knowing this phony TikToker. New York
- 12:47Speaker 1: Magazine you remember New York Magazine. Everybody used to read
- 12:49Speaker 1: New York Magazine. You go back to the eighties, the nineties,
- 12:53Speaker 1: New York Magazine. It was the greatest writers in the world.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It was gay to Lease, it was Pete Hamill, who
- 12:59Speaker 1: was Jimmy Breslin. It was the most prestigious magazine. The
- 13:03Speaker 1: great food critic, Gale Green. People couldn't wait your kids today.
- 13:08Speaker 1: We didn't have any Instagram. We had to wait for
- 13:10Speaker 1: New York Magazine to find out what to eat, where
- 13:13Speaker 1: to go, and to read all this great stuff. If
- 13:18Speaker 1: you're twenty two, you don't know what the hell I'm
- 13:19Speaker 1: talking about. They're going, what's a magazine? A magazine? It
- 13:25Speaker 1: was printed, it came in the mail or you went
- 13:29Speaker 1: to the news stand and bought it. And every Monday
- 13:32Speaker 1: would come out and they read the restaurants stuff and
- 13:34Speaker 1: know where all the hot new restaurants were. But New
- 13:38Speaker 1: York Magazine it was always a little left wing. You know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: Pete Hamill, Jimmy Breslan, these were left wing guys. It
- 13:46Speaker 1: was always a little left wing. But the divide wasn't
- 13:49Speaker 1: that big back then. Well now there's still a New
- 13:51Speaker 1: York Magazine. It's a website. New York magazine, it is
- 13:54Speaker 1: now the most slanted, left wing biased thing the world,
- 14:01Speaker 1: and it turns out it's looking pretty anti semitic. Now.
- 14:05Speaker 1: They do this cover story this week just totally smears
- 14:09Speaker 1: the Jewish people of New York. Supposedly the cover story
- 14:13Speaker 1: is to celebrate Arab culture. But this tone deaf, anti
- 14:18Speaker 1: semitic New York magazine hit piece. If you start reading this,
- 14:22Speaker 1: it's it's supposed to be about Arab culture, celebrat it's
- 14:26Speaker 1: got so much stuff in there, Israeli genocide of Palestinians,
- 14:32Speaker 1: refers to the Jewish state as a mere land mass
- 14:36Speaker 1: currently called Israel. Apparently they're getting a lot of backlash.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I mean, now, listen, obviously, these left wing, crazy biased,
- 14:43Speaker 1: left wing New York magazine, they're going to be a
- 14:46Speaker 1: little anti Semitic, but this, I mean, it's just over
- 14:49Speaker 1: the top anti semitism from New York Magazine. Good to
- 14:53Speaker 1: see they're getting a lot of backlash for it. You
- 14:55Speaker 1: remember these to talk about a dog whistles, President Trump,
- 14:59Speaker 1: it's a dog whistle. Certainly these people, it's like a
- 15:02Speaker 1: factory whistle to everybody. They don't hold back on this. Hey,
- 15:06Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one
- 15:10Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Give me a call,
- 15:13Speaker 1: especially if you've never called before. We always like new callers.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
