- 1:12Speaker 3: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 1:15Speaker 3: is way grateful that he's not who he used to.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Be, here.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Welcome in, Kevin McCullough, glad to have you here. It
- 1:28Speaker 4: is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com, and I hope that your
- 1:33Speaker 4: fall is going to be full of good things. I
- 1:35Speaker 4: think of the fall, you know, back to school, finally
- 1:39Speaker 4: done with all the kind of the unstructured stuff of summer.
- 1:42Speaker 4: which is kind of a joy to someone like me
- 1:44Speaker 4: who really loves his routine. But one of the things
- 1:46Speaker 4: I'm always excited about here is that we are back
- 1:49Speaker 4: to sending Bibles to people who need them. And we're
- 1:53Speaker 4: back to it, I say, because we did a little
- 1:55Speaker 4: bit of it in the summer. But when we come
- 1:57Speaker 4: back from the last couple of weeks of August, Bible
- 2:00Speaker 4: League has actually done something kind of interesting in those
- 2:02Speaker 4: last two weeks. They've kind of shut down all of
- 2:05Speaker 4: their corporate activity. And for two weeks, they've sought the Lord.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I think some of them have fasted. I think many
- 2:12Speaker 4: of them have prayed. They've, as a staff, come together.
- 2:15Speaker 4: They've talked about what the Lord is leading them as
- 2:18Speaker 4: an organization to do. And then they launch what he
- 2:22Speaker 4: has led them to do for the next year. And
- 2:24Speaker 4: so as we are just, you know, at the beginning
- 2:27Speaker 4: of that, we are always excited to help be some
- 2:30Speaker 4: of the first people that send Bibles out in the
- 2:32Speaker 4: calendar year of the fiscal year of Bible League International.
- 2:35Speaker 4: And I'm so appreciative of their prayerful approach to what
- 2:38Speaker 4: they do. They never for a minute think that it's
- 2:40Speaker 4: in their power. They never for a minute think it's
- 2:43Speaker 4: all about them. They know that this is a work
- 2:45Speaker 4: of God and they want to align themselves with what
- 2:47Speaker 4: he's already doing so that it is that much more
- 2:51Speaker 4: effective getting the Bible into people's hands. Michael Woolworth is
- 2:56Speaker 4: a member of the Bible League. He's on staff there
- 2:59Speaker 4: and he's a big advocate and he's been doing this
- 3:02Speaker 4: for a number of years and always comes and sees us.
- 3:04Speaker 4: And Michael, we're so grateful this year on this expanded
- 3:08Speaker 4: platform to be in 400 cities across the country and
- 3:11Speaker 4: to be able to say, hey, let's tell the whole
- 3:14Speaker 4: country about Bible League. In the past, we've done it
- 3:17Speaker 4: just in the New York market for many, many years.
- 3:20Speaker 4: And that audience by itself, we've always been responsive in
- 3:24Speaker 4: this cause. But now to get to have the expanded
- 3:29Speaker 4: welcoming in of the country on a nationwide basis. We're
- 3:32Speaker 4: just so grateful to be able to have them here.
- 3:34Speaker 4: And lots of new places are hearing us Anchorage, Alaska, Greenville,
- 3:38Speaker 4: South Carolina, Columbus, Ohio, Reno, Nevada. I mean, throw a dart.
- 3:43Speaker 4: We're in someplace new every time. And it's, and it's
- 3:47Speaker 4: exciting to see. And we're thankful because those of you
- 3:50Speaker 4: who have been giving, you have been giving from all
- 3:51Speaker 4: over the country as well. We've had gifts from just,
- 3:54Speaker 4: just about every region of the country. So thank you
- 3:56Speaker 4: for those of you that have stood with us already
- 3:58Speaker 4: and 1,600 Bibles towards an ultimate goal of a little
- 4:01Speaker 4: more than 10,000. And just knowing that every time we
- 4:06Speaker 4: send a Bible out, about 12 people end up coming
- 4:09Speaker 4: to know the Lord that did not know him previously
- 4:13Speaker 4: is the kind of lifelong record of Bible League in
- 4:17Speaker 4: terms of what they've been able to track. And that's
- 4:19Speaker 4: a conservative estimate. That's an estimate they're safe in telling people,
- 4:22Speaker 4: we feel good about this number. We don't feel like
- 4:24Speaker 4: it's an exaggeration at all. And if you follow that
- 4:27Speaker 4: number through, Michael, that means that our listeners in sending
- 4:32Speaker 4: 1,600 Bibles thus far are on the verge of reaching
- 4:36Speaker 4: nearly 20,000 people with the gospel. And if we add
- 4:39Speaker 4: another 8,800 Bibles to this mix, we're going to see
- 4:44Speaker 4: some real amazing stuff that God does in the days
- 4:47Speaker 4: and weeks to come. So it's an exciting thing. And
- 4:49Speaker 4: we're excited that you're back.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Well, it's great to be back, Kevin. Yeah, you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm grateful that you share our enthusiasm. You share the
- 4:55Speaker 1: burden that we have to make sure these Bibles reach these,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you know, empty waiting hands all over the world. It's
- 5:01Speaker 1: year 88 for Bible League. And Kevin, I've said this before.
- 5:04Speaker 1: We cannot do what we do. without listening families like yours.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And again, grateful that they have a host that calls
- 5:11Speaker 1: them out to live out who they are in the
- 5:13Speaker 1: Lord every single day. And this is an opportunity for us.
- 5:17Speaker 1: As you say, we got a little bit of a
- 5:18Speaker 1: jump on this campaign. We spent a few weeks in July,
- 5:22Speaker 1: took a little bit of a pause. We're back to
- 5:23Speaker 1: tackle the remaining 8,000 that are needed. And each one
- 5:26Speaker 1: of these is a precious soul, right? Members of our
- 5:28Speaker 1: spiritual family who have said, Yes to Jesus. God has
- 5:32Speaker 1: them planted in places where they simply cannot access the Bible.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But again, as I love to say, enter this listening
- 5:38Speaker 1: family call by call, click by click. We're doing something
- 5:41Speaker 1: about it. Let me give you a little bit of perspective.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You know, you go back to the year 2020 when
- 5:45Speaker 1: we were all learning to navigate COVID restrictions. Bible League
- 5:48Speaker 1: reached about 1.7 million people that year. Fast forward to
- 5:53Speaker 1: the year 2025 last year. There was a 60% increase
- 5:57Speaker 1: between those two points in time, right? A 60% increase.
- 6:01Speaker 1: That tells you what? That God is at work in
- 6:04Speaker 1: his world through his word. We can tell you with confidence,
- 6:07Speaker 1: as many as nine of 10 new believers in different
- 6:10Speaker 1: parts of the world, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and
- 6:12Speaker 1: Latin America, crave what they cannot get. And that is
- 6:16Speaker 1: a Bible. And so, again, we're doing something about it
- 6:18Speaker 1: for the princely sum. of only $ 5 a Bible. Kevin,
- 6:22Speaker 1: let me come into this hour thanking some of your
- 6:24Speaker 1: wonderful listeners. William of Verona, Pennsylvania said, I'm in at
- 6:27Speaker 1: 20 Bibles. Sherwin of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey said, I'm in.
- 6:32Speaker 1: A $ 200 gift for 40 Bibles. And then Doreen of Glendale, Arizona,
- 6:36Speaker 1: one of those out and about there, right? A $ 500 investment,
- 6:40Speaker 1: enough to fill the waiting hands of of 100 believers
- 6:43Speaker 1: that we know by name at Bible League. And again,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that's how it happens. $ 5 sins a Bible. Kevin, we've
- 6:48Speaker 1: got a Bible for Bible match, meaning that every gift made,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you know, this segment, this hour is going to be
- 6:54Speaker 1: matched by friends of Bible League who say, look, we've
- 6:56Speaker 1: got an opportunity here to meet this incredible need. And again,
- 6:59Speaker 1: regardless of size, they said what? We want to double it.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Well, and friends, because of that, then there is incumbent
- 7:06Speaker 4: upon us to be somewhat urgent about this. We don't
- 7:09Speaker 4: want this match to dry up and go away and
- 7:11Speaker 4: not to have maximized the potential good that it is.
- 7:15Speaker 4: If God moved in someone's heart to be generous and said,
- 7:17Speaker 4: we're going to challenge your people and we're going to
- 7:20Speaker 4: match everything that they do, I don't think anybody is
- 7:23Speaker 4: listening by accident. I don't think that anybody is here
- 7:25Speaker 4: by mistake. I think that God is sovereign and I
- 7:28Speaker 4: think that he works his will out in ways that
- 7:31Speaker 4: the best glorify him and bring about his purposes, which
- 7:35Speaker 4: means you're not an accident, which means you're not an
- 7:37Speaker 4: accident in being here today. It's not an accident that
- 7:40Speaker 4: you're hearing about this. So would you consider asking yourself
- 7:44Speaker 4: the question, how many Bibles should I be giving, knowing
- 7:47Speaker 4: that they will be doubled right now? 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. And Michael,
- 7:55Speaker 4: one of the things I've said over and over again
- 7:57Speaker 4: that I appreciate about Bible League is that it's not
- 7:59Speaker 4: just this part of the world or that part of
- 8:01Speaker 4: the world. You guys are addressing the needs of Christians
- 8:04Speaker 4: globally from all different corners that are asking, can you
- 8:08Speaker 4: help get me a Bible? They all have two things
- 8:10Speaker 4: in common. They all want a Bible. And for a
- 8:13Speaker 4: variety of reasons, none of them can get one. And
- 8:15Speaker 4: Bible League is answering that question.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Well, more than 100 praying for Bibles right now. First
- 8:20Speaker 1: in Rwanda in Africa, Kwame, a 50-year-old Christian, lives near
- 8:24Speaker 1: the Ugandan border. He lost family and friends in the
- 8:27Speaker 1: Hutu-Tutsi conflict back in the 90s. Kevin, I know you
- 8:30Speaker 1: remember that. Became a believer about two years ago. Was
- 8:33Speaker 1: trained to share Christ through Bible League's Project Phillip study.
- 8:37Speaker 1: What is that? We put a face and a name
- 8:39Speaker 1: to our global strategy. What is that? It's a Bible study.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Christianity 101, the Gospel of John paired together. And this man, Kawabi,
- 8:46Speaker 1: has led 92 Rwandans to Christ. He's praying that they'll
- 8:50Speaker 1: soon have Bibles in the Swahili language. And then Andrea
- 8:53Speaker 1: is 25, another part of the world. She lives in
- 8:55Speaker 1: Venezuela near the capital of Caracas. When a friend shared
- 8:59Speaker 1: the gospel with her, she became a believer. Her entire family,
- 9:02Speaker 1: part of a religious cult, has shunned her. But Andrea
- 9:05Speaker 1: is one of these that's been trained to share Christ.
- 9:07Speaker 1: She's led 20 to the Lord. She's praying for Spanish
- 9:11Speaker 1: language Bibles. And so, you know, Kevin, I can tell
- 9:14Speaker 1: you there's a lot of reasons why there's a shortage
- 9:16Speaker 1: of Bibles. You know, again, you've covered these corrupt governments,
- 9:19Speaker 1: majority religions that push back. There's remoteness. There's poverty. But really,
- 9:24Speaker 1: it's God at work, right? Moving so quickly around the
- 9:27Speaker 1: world through spiritual awakenings. And again, Christians saying, I've got
- 9:30Speaker 1: to wake up to following the Lord, right? It's created
- 9:33Speaker 1: this incredible need for Bible. And there's 120 right now
- 9:36Speaker 1: that could benefit from your generosity today.
- 9:39Speaker 4: 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or give online by going to thatkevinshow.com and
- 9:41Speaker 4: clicking the Bible League banner at the top of the page.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:53Speaker 7: Here he is from New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Alright, welcome back. Kevin McCullough, it's Tuesday. It's kind of
- 10:21Speaker 4: a mopey gray Tuesday in New York. I don't know
- 10:24Speaker 4: where you are, but here we've had kind of like
- 10:27Speaker 4: just miserable cloudy weather all day. And you could feel
- 10:31Speaker 4: it from the moment that my kids got up today
- 10:33Speaker 4: because it was back to school day for the McCullough house.
- 10:36Speaker 4: And it was just like, you know, dad's up trying
- 10:39Speaker 4: to be joking, trying to get them laughing. Nope.
- 10:42Speaker 8: Nope.
- 10:43Speaker 4: School and gray weather, and it's just going together. So
- 10:46Speaker 4: happy fall, everybody. Welcome in. It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Dave Watson is back with us. This is the part
- 10:51Speaker 4: of the show where we ask, how do we live?
- 10:54Speaker 4: How do we live in light of the events that
- 10:57Speaker 4: are going on around us? How do we live in
- 10:59Speaker 4: the light of the culture that is around us? Oftentimes
- 11:03Speaker 4: a culture that despises God, hates his word. looks at
- 11:07Speaker 4: us with a very cross eye, if at all. And
- 11:11Speaker 4: Dave Watson, we started yesterday, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel
- 11:15Speaker 4: on Staten Island, we started yesterday with a look at
- 11:19Speaker 4: Lamentations and what you referred to historically as the nation
- 11:24Speaker 4: of Israel's kind of 9-11 from the Old Testament.
- 11:28Speaker 8: Yes, very much so.
- 11:29Speaker 9: I think we might want to say our Our 9-11
- 11:35Speaker 9: is there, you know, August 15th because it happened to
- 11:39Speaker 9: them first.
- 11:40Speaker 8: But it certainly reflects the same circumstances. The writer says
- 11:45Speaker 8: in Lamentations 3, verse 17, my soul is barrette of peace.
- 11:52Speaker 8: I've forgotten what happiness is. And he goes on to
- 11:55Speaker 8: say my endurance has perished. so has my hope from
- 12:00Speaker 8: the Lord.
- 12:00Speaker 10: The circumstances that had occurred, the destruction of Jerusalem that
- 12:05Speaker 10: Jeremiah was an eyewitness to, which Jeremiah had warned about,
- 12:09Speaker 10: just sucked the wind right out of him.
- 12:12Speaker 8: Worse than that, it It sucked happiness. It sucked peace.
- 12:15Speaker 8: And it sucked hope right from him. And I think
- 12:19Speaker 8: some of our listeners today, Kevin, could probably relate to that.
- 12:22Speaker 8: Something has happened. A phone call has come in about
- 12:25Speaker 8: a diagnosis. Someone has gone through something horrible, something that
- 12:30Speaker 8: you can't believe. And they feel like they got punched
- 12:33Speaker 8: in the gut and had the wind knocked out of them.
- 12:37Speaker 4: And you kind of point out that there's kind of a–
- 12:42Speaker 4: cycle that Jeremiah works through in the rhetoric in verses
- 12:45Speaker 4: 16 or 15 through 18. You talk about where he
- 12:50Speaker 4: places blame. You talk about how we should respond and
- 12:53Speaker 4: what the result is. But can you walk us through that?
- 12:57Speaker 8: Sure, sure. So Jeremiah initially blames God. You know, verse 15,
- 13:04Speaker 8: you filled me with bitterness. You did it. You know,
- 13:07Speaker 8: you gave me wormwood and you've given me this sour,
- 13:10Speaker 8: sour thing to have. You know, we often hear people say, well,
- 13:14Speaker 8: you know, if life gives you lemons, you know, make lemonade. Well,
- 13:18Speaker 8: it's Jeremiah was making wormwood out of that. But he,
- 13:25Speaker 8: in a sense, comes to his senses. He's lost his hope.
- 13:29Speaker 8: He's lost his peace. He's lost his happiness because of
- 13:33Speaker 8: the circumstances. But then he goes into a confession of
- 13:38Speaker 8: hope in Lamentations 3, 19 through 22. And there's something
- 13:42Speaker 8: very interesting about Lamentations 3, is that it is a
- 13:47Speaker 8: Hebrew acrostic, which means that every verse begins with a
- 13:52Speaker 8: set of consecutive letters through the Hebrew alphabet. letter alpha
- 14:01Speaker 8: or aleph, the second set of three verses, all the
- 14:07Speaker 8: way through. And it's set that way so that you
- 14:10Speaker 8: can remember it. And Jeremiah writes this down so that
- 14:14Speaker 8: he will remember this. He will keep this in mind forever,
- 14:19Speaker 8: because this is not going to be the only difficult
- 14:21Speaker 8: circumstances he faces. Now, I wouldn't tell you that you
- 14:26Speaker 8: need to memorize all of Lamentations 3, But I would
- 14:30Speaker 8: tell you, verses 19 through 22 are worthy of our
- 14:34Speaker 8: of our putting in memory where he says, remember my
- 14:36Speaker 8: affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and the gall. My
- 14:40Speaker 8: soul continually remembers it and is bound down within me.
- 14:43Speaker 8: And then he says in verse 21, but this I
- 14:46Speaker 8: call to mind and therefore I have hope. What does
- 14:50Speaker 8: he call the mind that gives him the hope? The
- 14:52Speaker 8: steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercy never
- 14:57Speaker 8: comes to an end. They are new every morning. Great
- 15:02Speaker 8: is your faithfulness. Great is your faithfulness. Powerful, very powerful thoughts.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Well, and how many times have we sung that song
- 15:11Speaker 4: in the modern church era and not ever even known
- 15:17Speaker 4: what it was in response to? You know, because lamentations
- 15:21Speaker 4: isn't exactly on the top of all the, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 4: Bible study request lists for small groups.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Hey, I'm going to a small group with lamentations.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Well, exactly.
- 15:34Speaker 8: You'd be the only person.
- 15:36Speaker 4: But considering what you've just explained to us and how
- 15:39Speaker 4: the circumstances that they're going through kind of mirror, you know,
- 15:45Speaker 4: what we felt on 9-11, what Israel felt on October 7th,
- 15:50Speaker 4: what ancient Israel felt on August 15th, back when this
- 15:56Speaker 4: was being written. That puts that verse, verse 22 and
- 16:02Speaker 4: verse 23, into steep contrast into what he has just
- 16:07Speaker 4: said in the lines before.
- 16:10Speaker 8: Yeah, and what strikes me is it's a series of choices.
- 16:14Speaker 8: He remembers his affliction, and he wants everybody to remember
- 16:18Speaker 8: it and commiserate with him. And we can certainly understand it.
- 16:22Speaker 4: We don't want to make.
- 16:23Speaker 8: Light of it. But then in verse 21, he makes
- 16:26Speaker 8: a choice. He says, but I call to mind God.
- 16:31Speaker 8: And therefore, I have hope that the steadfast love of
- 16:35Speaker 8: the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end.
- 16:38Speaker 8: They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. It's
- 16:40Speaker 8: a choice that we have to make. You know, we
- 16:45Speaker 8: certainly need to be around people on this coming 25th
- 16:50Speaker 8: celebration of 9-11 and be there for them and be
- 16:54Speaker 8: there for our city. But we also need to make
- 16:57Speaker 8: sure that we are a voice. That helps everybody make
- 17:01Speaker 8: the choice, the choice to call the mind and therefore
- 17:05Speaker 8: have hope that there is a God, that he is
- 17:08Speaker 8: filled with this steadfast love and it never ceases and
- 17:12Speaker 8: his mercies never come to an end. And the sun
- 17:15Speaker 8: came up this morning. You can be sure that his
- 17:18Speaker 8: mercies are new every morning. And we proclaim great is
- 17:22Speaker 8: your faithfulness. great is your faithfulness. It's almost as if
- 17:26Speaker 8: Jeremiah is at a sunrise, perhaps looking over the ruins
- 17:32Speaker 8: of Jerusalem. And as he's at the sunrise, he sees
- 17:36Speaker 8: the sun comes up, comes up with tears in his eyes.
- 17:40Speaker 8: He's reminded of that this God loves us. This hurts
- 17:46Speaker 8: right now, but this God loves us, and this love
- 17:48Speaker 8: never ceases. This God is a merciful God filled with mercy.
- 17:52Speaker 8: And this stuff happens, this renewing of these incredible attributes,
- 17:58Speaker 8: they're true every morning. Every morning that I get up,
- 18:02Speaker 8: even though as I'm looking out wherever I am, I'm
- 18:05Speaker 8: seeing the destruction of the city I love, there's a sunrise,
- 18:09Speaker 8: and it dawns on him. And he proclaims, great! Is
- 18:14Speaker 8: your faithfulness important?
- 18:18Speaker 4: He uses a phrase here, steadfast love. How is that
- 18:22Speaker 4: to be understood? And we may not have time to
- 18:25Speaker 4: complete this thought today, but what is the difference in
- 18:29Speaker 4: that and say, other uses of the word love that
- 18:33Speaker 4: appear in the Old and New Testament?
- 18:36Speaker 8: You know, this is a unique word. It's the Hebrew chesed.
- 18:41Speaker 8: I wish I was Jewish and I could say it
- 18:43Speaker 8: right for you. But it speaks of God's loyal, royal love,
- 18:49Speaker 8: and it's a relationship love. It's a deep, personal relationship, love. And,
- 18:57Speaker 8: you know, it is found throughout the Old Testament. You know,
- 19:01Speaker 8: when you start looking at this particular word, when you
- 19:04Speaker 8: start running this word, you'll find it some 250 times
- 19:09Speaker 8: in the Old Testament. And over half of those times,
- 19:13Speaker 8: 127 of them, I think, it's found in the Psalms.
- 19:18Speaker 8: It is a go-to concept for the psalmist, and it
- 19:22Speaker 8: should be a go-to concept for us, that our God
- 19:25Speaker 8: is this God who is steadfast love. He loves us
- 19:31Speaker 8: with a love that doesn't change. He loves us with
- 19:35Speaker 8: a love that is so deep it's almost hard to understand.
- 19:39Speaker 8: And he's loyal to us with this love. It's a love, really,
- 19:43Speaker 8: that God is unique in expressing. We can partake in
- 19:47Speaker 8: it a little bit. But like in Exodus 34, 6, when
- 19:50Speaker 8: Moses wants to see who God is, God passes before him,
- 19:54Speaker 8: putting him in the cleft. And it says there, the
- 19:56Speaker 8: Lord passed before him and proclaimed, the Lord, the Lord,
- 20:00Speaker 8: a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and watch
- 20:04Speaker 8: this word, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The
- 20:09Speaker 8: steadfast love almost always, not always, but almost always is
- 20:14Speaker 8: tied to that idea of God's faithfulness. God doesn't quit
- 20:19Speaker 8: on us. He doesn't give up on us.
- 20:22Speaker 11: He Wow.
- 20:28Speaker 8: Powerful.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Powerful place to pause for today as we're looking at
- 20:33Speaker 4: lamentations in light of the 25th anniversary of 9-11. Dave Watson,
- 20:38Speaker 4: thank you. We'll talk to you again tomorrow.
- 20:41Speaker 8: Thanks so much for having me.
- 20:42Speaker 12: I'm Kevin.
- 20:42Speaker 8: God bless. You got it.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough coming right back. Don't go away.
- 20:45Speaker 12: Stick around for more of That Kevin next.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Here he is from.
- 21:10Speaker 11: New York, That Kevin, Kevin McCullough. Welcome back.
- 21:16Speaker 4: It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com for all things related to
- 21:20Speaker 4: the show, including your chance to give a Bible to
- 21:24Speaker 4: someone who desperately needs it but can't get it, who
- 21:27Speaker 4: would desperately like to have a copy for themselves but
- 21:30Speaker 4: have no means of getting one for themselves. where they
- 21:33Speaker 4: live and where they are at. And friends, that's why
- 21:36Speaker 4: we want you to be part of what God is
- 21:38Speaker 4: doing here. We are sending his word to as many
- 21:42Speaker 4: as we can, but hopefully a little more than 10,000
- 21:45Speaker 4: people this fall, because that's the list. That's the names
- 21:50Speaker 4: of people that Bible League knows personally who have completed
- 21:53Speaker 4: their initial Bible study, Project Philip Bible study program that
- 21:58Speaker 4: have now requested a copy of the scriptures for themselves,
- 22:01Speaker 4: which is an amazing thing. in and of itself when
- 22:03Speaker 4: you think of it. But you call that number 1-800-937-9673.
- 22:08Speaker 4: You can get a Bible to them. And if you
- 22:10Speaker 4: call this hour, if you call in the next 10 minutes,
- 22:13Speaker 4: every Bible you send will be matched Bible for Bible.
- 22:17Speaker 4: So there's a lot of good reasons why you should
- 22:20Speaker 4: do it right now. Not the least of which is
- 22:22Speaker 4: you're putting the truth of God's word into somebody's hands
- 22:26Speaker 4: and heart and mind and life and family who desperately
- 22:29Speaker 4: want it. Michael Woolworth is back with us from Bible League.
- 22:33Speaker 4: And Michael, this is always something that's impressive to me.
- 22:37Speaker 4: The countries that Bible League goes to are really, really,
- 22:41Speaker 4: in some cases, it's very hard to imagine what you
- 22:44Speaker 4: guys do. And yet you're able to accomplish it because
- 22:46Speaker 4: of God's grace and his protection, including really tough places
- 22:50Speaker 4: like China.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yeah, let me take you to China as I do that.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Let me say thanks to Debbie of Dunnell in New Jersey.
- 22:55Speaker 1: She said, Michael, Kevin, I'm in at 10 Bible's. Kathy
- 22:58Speaker 1: of Elizabeth, Colorado said, I'm in at seven Bibles. And
- 23:01Speaker 1: then David listening in New Jersey said, count me in
- 23:04Speaker 1: a $ 100 tax deductible gift for 20 Bibles. We're closing
- 23:07Speaker 1: in on 2000. As you say, Kevin, our goal, a
- 23:11Speaker 1: little ambitious, but we want to be at just north
- 23:13Speaker 1: of 10,000 by the time we wrap up at the
- 23:16Speaker 1: end of September. You know, as I recollect where things
- 23:19Speaker 1: ended last fall, as we did a little bit in
- 23:22Speaker 1: the summer, took a little bit of a pause, came back.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Your listeners knocked out 9,900 Bibles. We were able to,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I got to tell you, to be able to share
- 23:32Speaker 1: that with waiting believers, I mean, to say, look, your
- 23:35Speaker 1: Bibles are coming. There's no greater thrill that we have
- 23:39Speaker 1: at Bible League than to say the Bibles, they're as
- 23:41Speaker 1: good as they are. But yeah, Kevin, you're right about China.
- 23:45Speaker 1: China is one of these difficult places where the gospel
- 23:48Speaker 1: is truly making an impact today. You and I talked
- 23:51Speaker 1: about the Bible access list, you know, Bible League joining
- 23:54Speaker 1: with other Bible agencies in the last couple of years
- 23:57Speaker 1: to look at 88 countries where we know the needs
- 24:00Speaker 1: are the greatest. We identified where the greatest restrictions are.
- 24:03Speaker 1: China is on that list. My colleague, Chow, tries to
- 24:07Speaker 1: share with us how we can pray effectively as North
- 24:10Speaker 1: American Christians, right? Praying for brothers and sisters in China.
- 24:14Speaker 1: As you listen to this, Listen to what he doesn't say. Kevin,
- 24:17Speaker 1: he's not saying we're praying for your pity or for
- 24:19Speaker 1: your protections today, an airline ticket out of a place
- 24:22Speaker 1: where the government is antagonistic toward the gospel. What's he saying?
- 24:26Speaker 1: This is Chow, and he's in China.
- 24:27Speaker 5: If I have one minute for American brothers and sisters,
- 24:30Speaker 5: I just beg them to pray for China, for the
- 24:34Speaker 5: supply of the Bibles, and for God, we are opening
- 24:37Speaker 5: the door for the Chinese people to have the opportunity
- 24:41Speaker 5: to hear the love of Christ.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what the greatest need is. Boots on the ground.
- 24:46Speaker 1: He's a pastor there. He speaks both Mandarin and English.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And again, Kevin, he's saying, look, we covet your prayers.
- 24:52Speaker 1: We cherish prayers you make on behalf of believers here.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Let me tell you what Christians are up against. In
- 24:58Speaker 1: the Yunnan province, this is in southwest China, just north
- 25:01Speaker 1: of Laos, right? There's 12,000, they call them grid officers.
- 25:04Speaker 1: They monitor 90% of the villages reporting religious activity. to
- 25:09Speaker 1: the authorities who come down hard on Christians. Think about
- 25:12Speaker 1: these flock cameras, which are now kind of capturing our
- 25:15Speaker 1: attention here in America, right? They use facial recognition technology.
- 25:19Speaker 1: They do data monitoring, right? Essentially making it impossible to
- 25:22Speaker 1: buy a Bible online or to even access the Word
- 25:26Speaker 1: of God online. That's what's happening right now in communist China.
- 25:31Speaker 1: You know, one of those praying for a Bible right
- 25:33Speaker 1: now is Nuon, a former atheist in China near Beijing. Kevin,
- 25:37Speaker 1: she fell seriously ill. There was a Christian named Min,
- 25:41Speaker 1: one of her neighbors who nursed her back to health,
- 25:43Speaker 1: shared Christ with her. Today, she's a believer. She's praying
- 25:46Speaker 1: for a Bible in Mandarin. And, you know, stories like
- 25:49Speaker 1: that are not in short supply. My other colleague, a
- 25:52Speaker 1: woman by the name of Milan, talks about first generation Christians.
- 25:56Speaker 1: These are people, listen, their bloodline, if you will, is
- 26:00Speaker 1: not steep in Christianity. These are first generation Christians who
- 26:03Speaker 1: are being able to open up their Bibles and read
- 26:07Speaker 1: the precious promises of God. This is Milan and she
- 26:09Speaker 1: is in communist China.
- 26:11Speaker 13: There are about 4 million people who accept Christ each
- 26:14Speaker 13: year in China. But the large majority of these Christians
- 26:17Speaker 13: do not have a Bible of their very own. For
- 26:19Speaker 13: many groups, there is only one Bible for the 10
- 26:22Speaker 13: people who attend. There are even some groups that do
- 26:25Speaker 13: not have a Bible at all, but they gather to
- 26:27Speaker 13: encourage one another with the scriptures they memorize. When these
- 26:31Speaker 13: Bibles arrive, there are tears of joy everywhere. This means
- 26:35Speaker 13: that our families receive a Bible. They are able to
- 26:37Speaker 13: begin reading the Word of God together. And they are
- 26:40Speaker 13: the first to build a legacy of following Christ through
- 26:43Speaker 13: reading His Word.
- 26:44Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if you're in Beijing, China, Kevin, New
- 26:47Speaker 1: York City. I'm in the Chicago area. I know you've
- 26:49Speaker 1: got a lot of listeners, Colorado, Arizona. You know, as believers,
- 26:53Speaker 1: we all desire the same thing, right? We want to
- 26:56Speaker 1: love the Lord with every fiber of our being. We
- 26:58Speaker 1: want to obey Him in every circumstance. We want to
- 27:00Speaker 1: make Him known and essentially enjoy Him forever, right? And
- 27:04Speaker 1: that's the same thing that Christians are praying for in
- 27:07Speaker 1: communist China. Kevin, I've got a Mandarin Bible with me
- 27:10Speaker 1: here in studio. I know your listeners can't see it,
- 27:12Speaker 1: so I'll describe it. Basic black cover, Bible League translated
- 27:15Speaker 1: this maybe 40 years ago, right? millions have come to
- 27:19Speaker 1: Christ using this Bible. They're reading this today. And I
- 27:22Speaker 1: opened this, I see what? The beautiful Mandarin print. I'm
- 27:25Speaker 1: not fluent in Mandarin. I don't think you are, Kevin.
- 27:27Speaker 1: So this Bible means very little to the two of us,
- 27:29Speaker 1: but to the Christians that we're talking about right now
- 27:32Speaker 1: in communist China, they would give absolutely anything for what
- 27:36Speaker 1: we're holding today. And that's why we're here doing this kingdom.
- 27:38Speaker 4: 800-937-9673, 1-800-YES-WORD or thatkevinshow.com. Click the Bible League banner at
- 27:46Speaker 4: the top of the page, thatkevinshow.com, 800-937-9673. Here he is
- 27:49Speaker 4: from New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough. Welcome back. It
- 28:16Speaker 4: is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. We are excited to be
- 28:21Speaker 4: kicking off the final leg of the campaign to help
- 28:25Speaker 4: get Bibles into the hands of those who need them.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But we have a long way to go. We're wanting
- 28:31Speaker 4: to raise about another 8,000 plus Bibles. here in the
- 28:35Speaker 4: next few weeks. And friends, we can't do that without you.
- 28:38Speaker 4: But that's how many people Bible League knows by name
- 28:42Speaker 4: that need Bibles where they are. Michael Woolworth is back
- 28:45Speaker 4: with me. And Michael, these are in countries all over
- 28:48Speaker 4: the planet, but they have a couple of things in common.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Every person on the list desperately wants a Bible. Every
- 28:56Speaker 4: person on the list cannot get one. And the reasons
- 29:00Speaker 4: why they cannot get one vary from country to country.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Some of it's geography. Some of it's economics. Some of
- 29:07Speaker 4: it is political. Some of it is religious persecution. Some
- 29:12Speaker 4: of it is under strain of death if they end
- 29:15Speaker 4: up with one. And yet, this is still what they
- 29:18Speaker 4: want more than any other thing in their life. And
- 29:22Speaker 4: that's what they're asking for when they could ask for
- 29:24Speaker 4: any number of things. So the idea being that we
- 29:28Speaker 4: want to fill this need and Bible League International, who
- 29:32Speaker 4: is the world's expert on how to do this, has
- 29:35Speaker 4: been doing this for 89 years, also knows that when
- 29:38Speaker 4: we give a Bible to one of these believers who
- 29:41Speaker 4: is asking for one, that most likely it's going to
- 29:43Speaker 4: create more believers, like times 12. And then we're going
- 29:47Speaker 4: to need to give more Bibles. down the road. But
- 29:49Speaker 4: that's okay. We'll take that problem because that means the
- 29:53Speaker 4: gospel is going forward. It means that God is changing lives.
- 29:55Speaker 4: It means He's calling all people to Himself as He
- 29:58Speaker 4: promises He will do in God's Word. And I can't
- 30:00Speaker 4: think of a better way to do that than help
- 30:02Speaker 4: people get His Word.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Well, and again, it's happening because of people like Shirley
- 30:05Speaker 1: of Flower Mound, Texas, said, I'm in at 10 Bibles.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Eleanor of Edison, New Jersey, said, Michael, Kevin, count me
- 30:11Speaker 1: in at 30 Bibles. And then Paul of Breezy Point,
- 30:15Speaker 1: New York, said, I want to be a part of this,
- 30:16Speaker 1: a $ 300 investment. enough to fill the empty waiting hands
- 30:20Speaker 1: of 60 believers that we know by name at Bible League.
- 30:23Speaker 1: And Kevin, again, we got a little bit of a
- 30:24Speaker 1: jump on this summer and fall effort, if you will.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Back in July, I did a little bit of a pause.
- 30:30Speaker 4: We're back.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Almost 2,000 Bibles have been taken care of. You know,
- 30:34Speaker 1: we're kind of in the same spot we were when
- 30:36Speaker 1: we look back at the calendar year 2025. We took
- 30:39Speaker 1: a little bit of a pause, came back. And when
- 30:41Speaker 1: we were all said and done, Kevin, this listening family
- 30:44Speaker 1: sent 9,900 Bibles. bibles i can't say enough about people
- 30:48Speaker 1: that again i know there's a sacrifice happening somewhere in
- 30:51Speaker 1: your budget right to be able to put bibles into
- 30:54Speaker 1: the empty waiting hands of believers even half a world
- 30:56Speaker 1: away so really it's incumbent upon us at bible league
- 30:58Speaker 1: to give you a glimpse into the lives of those
- 31:00Speaker 1: believers do you want to take you to bangladesh this
- 31:02Speaker 1: is only a few miles from uh where all this
- 31:06Speaker 1: flash flooding you know the death the the devastation is
- 31:09Speaker 1: happening right there at the tibet uh the Tibet-Nepali border.
- 31:15Speaker 1: But this is the country we're talking about is Bangladesh, 90%
- 31:19Speaker 1: Sunni Muslim. You know, Islam is the state religion there.
- 31:23Speaker 1: To be, you know, Bangladeshi is to be what? It's
- 31:25Speaker 1: to be probably a Sunni Muslim, right? Christianity makes up
- 31:28Speaker 1: about 1% of the population. My colleague Fariz talks about
- 31:32Speaker 1: what Christians are up against in that community. But stay tuned,
- 31:36Speaker 1: pay attention to the end of this, because what he
- 31:38Speaker 1: also says is, is very encouraging.
- 31:41Speaker 14: This is a 90% majority Muslim country with a population
- 31:47Speaker 14: of 162 million people here. Where Islam is the state
- 31:51Speaker 14: religion and where Christians are very poor and marginalized. Anyone
- 31:56Speaker 14: who comes to Jesus as their Lord and Savior are
- 32:00Speaker 14: easily persecuted. The faith of the Christians here is real.
- 32:05Speaker 14: No one could fake their Christianity. The cost is too great.
- 32:10Speaker 14: Our success is growing. It's growing because we are preaching
- 32:16Speaker 14: the real Jesus here.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they're preaching the real Jesus. You're not going to
- 32:21Speaker 1: hide behind some spiritual life there. It's when you follow Jesus,
- 32:26Speaker 1: there's a price to pay, right? I want to tell
- 32:29Speaker 1: you about one of our colleagues, Kevin, a man by
- 32:30Speaker 1: the name of Pastor Abenas. He's been reaching Muslims in
- 32:33Speaker 1: the hilly region of his native Bangladesh, but not without
- 32:36Speaker 1: harsh opposition. He and two other pastors were leading a
- 32:40Speaker 1: baptism service. Forty people had come to Christ, all of
- 32:43Speaker 1: these former Sunni Muslims. You can imagine they were singing,
- 32:46Speaker 1: they were praising God. There were professions of faith. They
- 32:48Speaker 1: would share a meal at the end of that. All
- 32:50Speaker 1: of a sudden, there's a ruckus at the door.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Who is it?
- 32:53Speaker 1: Well, it's extremists. They stormed the pulpit. They kidnapped this pastor, Abenas,
- 32:58Speaker 1: two of the other pastors. They used an electric baton
- 33:00Speaker 1: to leave permanent burns all over his body. I mean,
- 33:03Speaker 1: this man has paid a price. They demanded a ransom payment.
- 33:05Speaker 1: That's something that happens a lot in these Muslim-majority countries.
- 33:09Speaker 1: When that didn't come, they finally let these pastors go,
- 33:11Speaker 1: promised that they would bring death to them at some point.
- 33:13Speaker 1: We're not even sure what that means at this point
- 33:15Speaker 1: for these men. But, you know, when I talked to
- 33:17Speaker 1: Pastor Abanas, I said, Pastor, how do you stay encouraged? Again,
- 33:21Speaker 1: in a Muslim-majority country where Christianity makes up about 1%
- 33:24Speaker 1: of the population, he says, Michael... He said, we take
- 33:27Speaker 1: to heart what Paul says in Galatians. He says, let
- 33:30Speaker 1: us not grow weary in doing good for in time
- 33:32Speaker 1: we will reap a harvest. Jesus talks about that harvest
- 33:35Speaker 1: in Matthew 9. And he's saying that there's a harvest
- 33:37Speaker 1: of hundreds of people in that village right now coming
- 33:40Speaker 1: to Christ. You know, several of those include on and
- 33:43Speaker 1: he's a baker displayed across in his shop. Guess what?
- 33:46Speaker 1: It was destroyed. But he's still following Jesus. Samara is
- 33:49Speaker 1: a single woman who suffered a fractured eye socket after
- 33:53Speaker 1: being beaten by radicals. And then Yasmeen, another member of
- 33:56Speaker 1: this congregation, her name means a joyful heart. She helps
- 34:01Speaker 1: women and orphans, Kevin, but she yearns to read the Psalms.
- 34:05Speaker 1: That's her desire. And again, in a country that just
- 34:08Speaker 1: fiercely opposes Christianity, this woman is hated simply because she
- 34:12Speaker 1: bears the name of Christ. But she's looking forward to
- 34:15Speaker 1: the day that she'll have a Bible and she can
- 34:17Speaker 1: read the Psalms for herself.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Well, there's no better encouragement in my experience than what
- 34:22Speaker 4: we find in the Psalms. And that's why Christians have
- 34:26Speaker 4: looked to them for years. Friends, let's do that. Let's
- 34:29Speaker 4: put that encouragement in her hands. 1-800-937-9673.
- 34:31Speaker 14: 1-800-937-9673.
- 34:31Speaker 4: I think of Psalm chapter 1. Blessed is the man.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Literally means blessed. This is the good life. The man
- 34:44Speaker 4: who is, who is, who is blessed has the good life.
- 34:47Speaker 4: This is what he does. He delights in me and
- 34:50Speaker 4: my words delight in him. That's exactly what she's wanting
- 34:55Speaker 4: to do. But in order to do that, you need
- 34:57Speaker 4: the word of God in her hand, in her language,
- 35:01Speaker 4: in her heart so that she can what delight in
- 35:05Speaker 4: God's word. It's very, very practical. We just need to
- 35:09Speaker 4: get the Bible to her.
- 35:10Speaker 14: 1-800-937-9673.
- 35:10Speaker 4: And every Bible you give right now is going to
- 35:16Speaker 4: be matched Bible for Bible. They cost $ 5 each. How
- 35:19Speaker 4: many can you do? $ 300 gift would supply 60 Bibles.
- 35:22Speaker 4: But right now, because of the match, it would turn
- 35:24Speaker 4: into 120 Bibles because you did it now. Because you
- 35:27Speaker 4: choose to do it now, it's 120 Bibles if you
- 35:30Speaker 4: give a $ 300 gift right now. So will you help
- 35:32Speaker 4: us double these Bibles that are going out?
- 35:35Speaker 8: 1-800-937-9673. 1-800-937-9673.

- 36:02Speaker 12: up with a no-drink minnow. It's That Kevin Show.
- 36:10Speaker 4: Final few minutes today. Friends, grateful to have you with us.
- 36:13Speaker 4: It is That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. If you're not yet

- 36:29Speaker 4: And if you do it online and it's timestamped before
- 36:31Speaker 4: the top of the hour, same thing goes. It will
- 36:34Speaker 4: be matched.
- 36:35Speaker 8: 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Michael Woolworth is back with us. And Michael, Bible League
- 36:45Speaker 4: is active in something else called church planning. Tell us more.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Well, in parts of the world where there's not an
- 36:49Speaker 1: abundance of churches, Bible League is there to come alongside
- 36:52Speaker 1: church planners, men like Tomas in Ghana, Africa, to say one.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Here's resources to grow your church to the glory of God. Oftentimes, Kevin,
- 37:00Speaker 1: they're available without charge.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Why?
- 37:01Speaker 1: A lot of these churches, they exist in extreme poverty.
- 37:05Speaker 1: When you identify as a believer in places where they're Muslim-dominated, right,
- 37:10Speaker 1: you You often give up access to jobs and services, education.
- 37:14Speaker 1: And so, again, there's a price to pay. And so
- 37:16Speaker 1: Bible League has provided church planter training, not only because
- 37:20Speaker 1: it's the right thing to do. It's absolutely necessary as
- 37:24Speaker 1: people come to saving faith. There's a temptation to want
- 37:26Speaker 1: to blend sort of their old religion with the precious gospel.
- 37:30Speaker 1: My colleague, Jason, was in Ghana, Africa, has this to
- 37:33Speaker 1: say about what he discovered on church planter training.
- 37:37Speaker 15: The importance of church planter training, it can't be understated,
- 37:40Speaker 15: especially in places like Africa where syncretism, which is the
- 37:43Speaker 15: mixing of your old beliefs, your ancestral beliefs with this
- 37:47Speaker 15: new introduction to Christianity. It's very easy to want to
- 37:51Speaker 15: hold on to both. And for people coming to Christ,
- 37:54Speaker 15: it's difficult to say, I'm going to do away with
- 37:57Speaker 15: everything that my family's done and totally embrace Christ.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he's talking about Ghana, Africa specifically. It's a Francophone country.
- 38:04Speaker 1: That's where French is spoken more and more. But Pastor Tomas,
- 38:08Speaker 1: not only an ordained pastor, Kevin, he's a licensed snake handler.
- 38:12Speaker 1: He risks his own safety to capture reticulated pythons. It's
- 38:16Speaker 1: an interesting element to the story. I took some Salem
- 38:18Speaker 1: host to Indonesia, I don't know, several years ago. You
- 38:21Speaker 1: were on that list. You politely declined. The timing wasn't right.
- 38:24Speaker 1: But You know, a week before we left, a reticulated
- 38:27Speaker 1: python actually swallowed an elderly woman whole. I mean, this
- 38:31Speaker 1: is the realm of this pastor, oddly enough, right? Rescuing
- 38:35Speaker 1: reticulated pythons from harming people. But anyway, he's also a
- 38:40Speaker 1: church planter. And again, he's in a part of Africa, again,
- 38:43Speaker 1: where there's a blending of the syncretism where people take
- 38:48Speaker 1: different elements of their past religion. They're tempted to carry
- 38:51Speaker 1: that on into their walk with the Lord. And again,
- 38:54Speaker 1: Bible League is there to provide good direction for these congregations. Hey,
- 38:59Speaker 1: three of those among Tomas's congregation praying for Bibles. Abraham
- 39:03Speaker 1: is in his 30s.
- 39:04Speaker 4: He's married.
- 39:05Speaker 1: He has three children. He was tortured by the Islamic
- 39:08Speaker 1: state there, but he is focused on following Jesus. Raya
- 39:11Speaker 1: is widowed, 40s, works on a cassava farm, praying for
- 39:14Speaker 1: a Bible. Then Kofi is 18, a brand new believer,
- 39:18Speaker 1: a former jihadist tied to Al-Qaeda. He's from the Ivory
- 39:21Speaker 1: Coast now in the country of Ghana. Kevin, God's at
- 39:24Speaker 1: work in his world through his word. And from wherever
- 39:26Speaker 1: he has you listening today, you get to be a
- 39:28Speaker 1: part of this at only $ 4. five dollars a Bible.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Friends, it makes such a difference when you're talking about
- 39:35Speaker 4: the spiritual investment of this. These dollars you literally give
- 39:41Speaker 4: a Bible. And right now, because through the end of
- 39:44Speaker 4: this hour, every gift is doubled, that means you could
- 39:47Speaker 4: do double the number of Bibles you think you can
- 39:50Speaker 4: just for giving them right now and multiply that times 12.
- 39:54Speaker 4: And now you have the total number of people on
- 39:57Speaker 4: the conservative side that you're going to reach with the
- 40:00Speaker 4: gospel in the very near future. 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. And just
- 40:09Speaker 4: imagine the encouragement that's going to be. Imagine the freedom
- 40:12Speaker 4: that's going to come with people finding Jesus and knowing
- 40:16Speaker 4: that their life is forever changed. 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or give
- 40:18Speaker 4: online at thatkevinshow.com, top of the page, Bible League banner.
- 40:21Speaker 4: Click it, thatkevinshow.com, thatkevinshow.com, or 1-800-937-9673.
- 40:44Speaker 8: The only thing that.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Could be greater, of course, would be that Donald show.
- 40:51Speaker 1: But we don't have that, so we have that Kevin show.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream in
- 41:16Speaker 3: Color Orchestra. Straight ahead, everything you need to know about
- 41:30Speaker 3: the top headlines of the day and a perspective that
- 41:33Speaker 3: will give you some eternity to it. Plus, practical tips
- 41:37Speaker 3: for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 41:43Speaker 3: It's Kevin McCullough, Monday through Friday, on That Kevin Show.
- 41:54Speaker 3: And now, from the Connors & Sullivan Broadcast Studios, the
- 41:58Speaker 3: man who is not what he wants to be, but
- 42:01Speaker 3: is way grateful that he's not who he used to be,
- 42:04Speaker 3: here's The Kevin!
- 42:05Speaker 13: Welcome back.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I hope you had a great weekend. Kevin McCullough, glad
- 42:15Speaker 4: to have you with us wherever you may be, whatever
- 42:18Speaker 4: you may be doing. Always appreciate the fact that you
- 42:20Speaker 4: carve out some time to spend it with us. Kevin McCullough,
- 42:23Speaker 4: That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com for all things that we talk about,
- 42:28Speaker 4: everything that we're associated with, everything that we do. It's
- 42:31Speaker 4: the one place online you can go and get it all.
- 42:34Speaker 4: And we do have a very important show coming up.
- 42:37Speaker 4: We're going to talk about the news of the day,
- 42:39Speaker 4: some of the news over the weekend, and I've got
- 42:41Speaker 4: a couple of other things that are on my mind
- 42:43Speaker 4: that I've really been bothered by so much so that
- 42:45Speaker 4: I wrote an entire column about one of them. And
- 42:47Speaker 4: one of them has to do with, I don't know, friends,
- 42:51Speaker 4: if your pastor has done the same. My pastor a
- 42:54Speaker 4: few weeks ago made mention that there are some polls
- 42:57Speaker 4: that are showing that Gen Z in particular, young men
- 43:00Speaker 4: and young women are on a much more accelerated level
- 43:06Speaker 4: attending church again for the first time in like three generations.
- 43:10Speaker 4: at a higher level than almost any time in those
- 43:14Speaker 4: past three generations. Young men, and by young I'm saying
- 43:17Speaker 4: like under 29 years of age, it's like 40 plus
- 43:21Speaker 4: percent of young men are now saying that they're going
- 43:23Speaker 4: to church at least once a month and that it's important.
- 43:27Speaker 4: The women's number is up to 39 percent, both of
- 43:29Speaker 4: which are just ginormously skyrocketed over where they've been over
- 43:33Speaker 4: the last few years. And yet... Even though Gallup and Barna,
- 43:38Speaker 4: two separate organizations, kind of noted that growth, Time Magazine
- 43:44Speaker 4: felt it was important to take out a whole 2,000-word
- 43:47Speaker 4: article to try to just poo-poo the whole thing. And
- 43:50Speaker 4: they didn't really answer the data. They just kind of
- 43:54Speaker 4: proof-texted what they wanted, and they got cranky responses from
- 43:58Speaker 4: people that don't really want to see young people going
- 44:01Speaker 4: to church. We'll break all this down, but it was
- 44:04Speaker 4: an interesting weekend, and I'm grateful that you're with us.
- 44:06Speaker 4: And I'm grateful to have Michael Woolworth back with us
- 44:09Speaker 4: because we are talking about, for the next few weeks,
- 44:14Speaker 4: something that we started talking about in July, took a
- 44:16Speaker 4: little bit of a break, and now we're back. But
- 44:19Speaker 4: we're back with a vengeance because in this show today,
- 44:23Speaker 4: every Bible that gets sent through Bible League to people
- 44:28Speaker 4: that need it is going to be matched by one
- 44:31Speaker 4: special challenge. In this show today, Every Bible we raise
- 44:34Speaker 4: will be matched Bible for Bible. And I'm always excited
- 44:37Speaker 4: if I get word like that. I just want us
- 44:40Speaker 4: to maximize the good that can be done from it.
- 44:43Speaker 4: But Michael Woolworth, welcome back. I know that it may
- 44:45Speaker 4: seem weird to listeners, but we started this journey with
- 44:48Speaker 4: you in July. And then I want to kind of
- 44:52Speaker 4: like pull the curtain back and let people see. Bible
- 44:55Speaker 4: League takes a couple of weeks at the end of
- 44:57Speaker 4: their fiscal year. And you guys pray and you seek
- 45:01Speaker 4: the Lord. and you set goals and you say at
- 45:05Speaker 4: the end of August, which is the end of your
- 45:06Speaker 4: fiscal year, where do you want us to go Lord
- 45:08Speaker 4: this year? You, you kind of dedicate the whole year
- 45:11Speaker 4: to him. You kind of consecrate and say, we want
- 45:16Speaker 4: our effort to be your effort and we want to
- 45:18Speaker 4: do the work that you call us to do. And
- 45:20Speaker 4: then now it's the beginning of September. And now we,
- 45:23Speaker 4: we reemerge with hopefully his leading and his plan all
- 45:27Speaker 4: in place and And that's what you guys do. But
- 45:29Speaker 4: that's why we take that little bit of a break,
- 45:31Speaker 4: because Bible League is actually seeking God and saying, what
- 45:34Speaker 4: would you have for us? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Kevin, great to be with you today. You've been a
- 45:39Speaker 1: great friend of Bible League for more than 20 years.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I say this, you ask your listeners without any hesitation
- 45:46Speaker 1: to be a part of what God is doing through
- 45:48Speaker 1: the ministry of Bible League. This is now our 88th
- 45:50Speaker 1: year of ministry, and I can't say enough about this
- 45:52Speaker 1: listening family. You know, when we've come and we've shared
- 45:55Speaker 1: what God is doing in his world, we said, look,
- 45:58Speaker 1: our prayers are being answered, right? We pray the gospel
- 46:00Speaker 1: would take grip all over the world, right? To the
- 46:02Speaker 1: far reaches of the globe, it's happening, but it's not
- 46:06Speaker 1: enough for us to celebrate that, right? We've got to
- 46:08Speaker 1: meet the need for the word of God, for believers
- 46:11Speaker 1: that we know by name at Bible League. And again, Kevin,
- 46:14Speaker 1: as I say, this is year 88 for Bible League.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Right now, you know, as we speak in a small
- 46:19Speaker 1: village in Africa, there's a woman hearing about Jesus for
- 46:22Speaker 1: the very first time through the ministry of Bible League
- 46:24Speaker 1: in a war-torn city in the Middle East, right? A
- 46:26Speaker 1: father is is finding peace through God's word while wanting to,
- 46:30Speaker 1: you know, raise his children to know and love Jesus.
- 46:33Speaker 1: In Southeast Asia, there is, you know, a young student
- 46:36Speaker 1: who's discovering God's plan for her life. It's a plan
- 46:39Speaker 1: that's filled with what? Purpose and hope. And all of
- 46:42Speaker 1: this is happening.
- 46:43Speaker 11: Why?
- 46:43Speaker 1: Because the joy that comes to a new believer, right?
- 46:47Speaker 1: It's not confined to a border. It isn't stopped by
- 46:50Speaker 1: a checkpoint. It doesn't need a passport, right? And again,
- 46:53Speaker 1: since 1938, Bible League has been on a mission to
- 46:56Speaker 1: engage people in the precious word of God in every
- 46:59Speaker 1: corner of the earth. You know, we've reached about 100
- 47:01Speaker 1: million people in that time, Kevin, about 100 million people
- 47:04Speaker 1: reach with the gospel. We're on track this next fiscal
- 47:08Speaker 1: year to reach, I should say, give out our one
- 47:10Speaker 1: billionth Bible or biblical resource. Now, I'm going to mention
- 47:15Speaker 1: three people praying for Bibles here in a moment. But,
- 47:17Speaker 1: you know, Kevin, just the practicality of having a Bible, right?
- 47:20Speaker 1: You come to Saving Faith, you know, there's a book
- 47:23Speaker 1: that will tell you about the God who loves you, right?
- 47:26Speaker 1: You know, I love Elizabeth Elliot, the late Elizabeth Elliot.
- 47:28Speaker 1: She said, you know, life has an easy formula for
- 47:31Speaker 1: the believer. She said, you look back and you thank God, right?
- 47:34Speaker 1: And then she said, you look forward and you trust God.
- 47:37Speaker 1: That's all you need to do, according to the late
- 47:39Speaker 1: Elizabeth Elliot. And she said, you know, the will of
- 47:41Speaker 1: God is not something you add to your life. It's
- 47:43Speaker 1: the course you choose. And when you understand that, you're
- 47:47Speaker 1: able to say things like what? I will sacrifice immediate
- 47:50Speaker 1: pleasure for greater rewards in the future. If all of
- 47:53Speaker 1: this will bring honor to the Lord. But Kevin, again,
- 47:55Speaker 1: we minister all over the world. We're here today to
- 47:57Speaker 1: tell you. The gospel that we pray would reach the
- 48:01Speaker 1: far reaches of the globe. It's happening. It's happening in
- 48:04Speaker 1: places like China, South Africa, and the Middle East. Three
- 48:07Speaker 1: fellow believers right now praying for Bibles. Washi is in China.
- 48:11Speaker 1: She's in her mid-30s. She and her husband are rice
- 48:13Speaker 1: paddy farmers. They have two children. They want to raise
- 48:16Speaker 1: them to know and love Jesus in a country that
- 48:19Speaker 1: is very antagonistic toward the gospel. Again, Washi is praying
- 48:22Speaker 1: for a Bible. Mabel is in her 20s. She's in
- 48:25Speaker 1: South Africa. They're in the country, they should say the
- 48:28Speaker 1: continent where Christianity is growing in the greatest numbers in
- 48:31Speaker 1: the world. She became a believer after her husband was
- 48:33Speaker 1: killed by terrorists in that country, right? She's praying today
- 48:37Speaker 1: for a Sangha language Bible. Then Babar is in the
- 48:40Speaker 1: Middle East. He's in his 30s. He's among thousands of
- 48:43Speaker 1: former Muslims who are now following Christianity. And again, as
- 48:46Speaker 1: I think about God's will, Elizabeth Elliot, look forward, trust God, right?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Proverbs 31 says what? Speak up for those who have
- 48:54Speaker 1: no voice. Stand up for those with no rights. Defend
- 48:57Speaker 1: the poor and the needy, especially those in the household
- 49:00Speaker 1: of faith. Kevin, that's why we've come together to do
- 49:02Speaker 1: this kingdom work. There's not only an incredible need for
- 49:05Speaker 1: God's word, but there is an army mobilized today through
- 49:10Speaker 1: that Kevin show. And we want to tap into that
- 49:13Speaker 1: and get as close as we can to this goal.
- 49:15Speaker 1: As quickly as we can, it happens at $ 5 a Bible.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Call the number 1-800-YES-WORD 1-800-937-9673 and get every gift that
- 49:25Speaker 4: you give, every Bible that you give right now doubled
- 49:28Speaker 4: just because you gave it now. 1-800-937-9673 1-800-937-9673 We have
- 49:30Speaker 4: the unique opportunity because of a challenge that's underway right
- 49:32Speaker 4: now to double the number of Bibles that you give
- 49:42Speaker 4: if you give them right now. 1-800-YES-WORD, 1-800-YES-WORD, or go
- 49:47Speaker 4: to thatkevinshow.com and click the banner at the top of
- 49:51Speaker 4: the page.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and you've got this audio clip as we go
- 49:55Speaker 1: to break here. My colleague, Nick, you know, I want
- 49:58Speaker 1: you to hear this because we're going to share a
- 49:59Speaker 1: lot of needs today, but also just the reaction of
- 50:03Speaker 1: Christians when they finally receive their own Bible.
- 50:07Speaker 6: When it came time to give out Bibles, the Bible presentation,
- 50:11Speaker 6: it is hard to describe the joy. We were with
- 50:15Speaker 6: a group of women who were receiving their first Bibles,
- 50:17Speaker 6: and they were dancing around the room with crazy excitement
- 50:21Speaker 6: over receiving their first Bibles. It was just such a
- 50:24Speaker 6: fun time, and it really spoke to their newfound passion
- 50:29Speaker 6: for Jesus.
- 50:30Speaker 4: It's the kind of difference you make when you call 1-800-937-9673.
- 50:56Speaker 11: From New York, that Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough, glad to have you with us. I just
- 51:05Speaker 4: got an email just early this morning. I think it
- 51:09Speaker 4: came in at about 3.30 a.m. And it was from
- 51:13Speaker 4: a man who had been listening to my show, That
- 51:16Speaker 4: Kevin Show. And he was pretty upset about some stuff.
- 51:22Speaker 4: He doesn't like it, for example, when I tell people
- 51:26Speaker 4: that God can love them and do things for them.
- 51:31Speaker 4: And if they pray, that that's a positive way of
- 51:34Speaker 4: going about it. He doesn't like the fact that I
- 51:40Speaker 4: actually believe that God answers prayer. He thinks that prayer
- 51:44Speaker 4: is just psychological mumbo jumbo and doesn't really make much
- 51:48Speaker 4: of a difference. And then he ended his email with this.
- 51:51Speaker 4: He said, and by the way, I've been all over
- 51:53Speaker 4: the world many times over. Those $ 5 Bibles aren't going
- 51:57Speaker 4: to do a thing in most African and Middle Eastern countries.
- 52:01Speaker 4: If anything, they'll mean more brutal deaths. Friends, this is
- 52:06Speaker 4: a listener to my show, a show in which I
- 52:09Speaker 4: discuss every day the biblical truth of how believers should
- 52:16Speaker 4: be living. He listens to my show. He knows where
- 52:21Speaker 4: I stand on this. And yet there's something about these
- 52:23Speaker 4: Bibles that he's wrestling with in his own spirit. It's
- 52:28Speaker 4: not that he's wrestling with the lack that our listeners
- 52:33Speaker 4: want to do good by sending them things that they need.
- 52:37Speaker 4: It's not that he's wrestling with someone wanting to send
- 52:40Speaker 4: food to somebody or to build a house for somebody
- 52:43Speaker 4: or to do any other number of needs that might
- 52:45Speaker 4: be met. It's the sending of the Bibles that irritates him.
- 52:49Speaker 11: Hmm.
- 52:50Speaker 4: And I want to point this out for a specific reason.
- 52:54Speaker 4: It's the sending of the Bibles that answers the direct
- 52:57Speaker 4: request of the person on the other end of the spectrum.
- 53:01Speaker 4: Not the cranky listener, but the desperate receiver of the
- 53:06Speaker 4: Bible who is just so desiring to have a copy
- 53:12Speaker 4: of Scripture for themselves. And I find it interesting that
- 53:16Speaker 4: the one thing that those people want is Is the
- 53:19Speaker 4: one thing that irritates the person who doesn't see the
- 53:23Speaker 4: value of biblical truth or the help, the practical help
- 53:29Speaker 4: it can be to their life or to their spiritual walk.
- 53:33Speaker 11: And.
- 53:34Speaker 4: This particular listener admitted that he's, you know, elapsed Catholic,
- 53:37Speaker 4: grew up Catholic, but he just doesn't think that prayer
- 53:40Speaker 4: works and he doesn't think that missionaries or Bibles are
- 53:42Speaker 4: important and that anything will happen. And he just thinks
- 53:45Speaker 4: that if God is really even there, that he's completely
- 53:48Speaker 4: hands off and just we're just all on our own
- 53:50Speaker 4: down here. Well, I respectfully disagree. And friends, I hope
- 53:56Speaker 4: that you will as well, because every Bible that we
- 53:58Speaker 4: send is introducing 12 new people to the truth. that
- 54:04Speaker 4: Bob's wrestling against, that he's fighting against. And I want
- 54:09Speaker 4: to pour gasoline where the fire goes. That's what I
- 54:12Speaker 4: want to do. That person agreeing with me in the
- 54:15Speaker 4: background there is Michael Woolworth. And Michael, I shared that
- 54:18Speaker 4: letter with you before we went on the air today.
- 54:20Speaker 4: But I don't think it's by mistake that this person
- 54:24Speaker 4: is wrestling with this issue of all the issues to
- 54:26Speaker 4: be wrestling with. There's all kinds of things you could
- 54:28Speaker 4: legitimately be upset about. But the fact that we're sending
- 54:31Speaker 4: Bibles to people, and the truth is we're only sending
- 54:35Speaker 4: Bibles to people that have asked for them that have
- 54:38Speaker 4: gone through the Bible league Bible study and want one
- 54:42Speaker 4: for themselves. And they, they don't want one for themselves
- 54:44Speaker 4: just to hoard it to themselves. And almost all the
- 54:46Speaker 4: instances that you've told us about, they're asking for Bibles
- 54:50Speaker 4: so that they can tell other people about what they
- 54:52Speaker 4: have found in their faith relationship with God. But I just,
- 54:56Speaker 4: I want that to kind of just sit with people
- 54:58Speaker 4: because I got that email on the day that we
- 55:01Speaker 4: started with that. We, received notice that for the next
- 55:03Speaker 4: 10 minutes, we're going to get every Bible matched. Do
- 55:06Speaker 4: you think there might be some spiritual warfare going on there?
- 55:09Speaker 4: That there's someone fighting against this at the very moment
- 55:12Speaker 4: that someone's heart is saying, no, I want to double
- 55:14Speaker 4: the impact of what you're doing. I think that might
- 55:16Speaker 4: be the case. And so, friends, if you're listening, what
- 55:19Speaker 4: I would ask of you is, will you help demonstrate
- 55:22Speaker 4: the joy there is in bringing God's truth to the
- 55:27Speaker 4: people that ask for it and allow this matching gift
- 55:30Speaker 4: challenge that's on for the next 10 minutes to double
- 55:32Speaker 4: the number of Bibles we give and to just in
- 55:35Speaker 4: a very kind way, in a very loving way, say
- 55:38Speaker 4: to Bob, Bob, there's something more here that you're wrestling
- 55:42Speaker 4: against and it's not just the Bibles. Anyway, Michael Woolworth,
- 55:45Speaker 4: a bit of a lengthy introduction, but I just feel
- 55:48Speaker 4: very convicted about that. Why would somebody be fighting? If
- 55:52Speaker 4: the Bible is a nothing book, if it doesn't make
- 55:55Speaker 4: a difference, if it's just a volume of Dr. Seuss
- 55:58Speaker 4: or something, Then what do you care if people receive it?
- 56:02Speaker 4: What's the anxiety underneath that? Is it not a spiritual
- 56:08Speaker 4: journey that maybe that person's on for themselves? I don't know.
- 56:11Speaker 4: I did tell Bob I'm going to pray for him
- 56:13Speaker 4: every day this year. And he may get tired of
- 56:16Speaker 4: me praying for him. He may get tired of me
- 56:17Speaker 4: talking about him, but I'm going to pray for him.
- 56:20Speaker 4: I'm going to pray that God makes himself real to him.
- 56:23Speaker 4: But that is what we're talking about. Getting the Bible
- 56:26Speaker 4: into the hands of people who really do understand that
- 56:28Speaker 4: their relationship with God is kind of hinging on being
- 56:32Speaker 4: able to get to know that God better.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm thinking there's a part of you, Kevin, that's
- 56:37Speaker 1: thrilled that this man took the time to write. How
- 56:39Speaker 1: many listeners would just tune out, right? And you never
- 56:42Speaker 1: know what they're thinking, right? And here's a man that
- 56:45Speaker 1: put into words what he's wrestling with right now. This
- 56:50Speaker 1: word that we're speaking of is what? It's living, right?
- 56:52Speaker 1: It's life changing. I mean, this is scripture rooted change
- 56:55Speaker 1: that we're talking about. It's not motivational, you know, speaking that,
- 57:00Speaker 1: you know, it strikes at, you know, somebody's funny bone, right?
- 57:04Speaker 1: This is life-giving change that comes. A life is never
- 57:08Speaker 1: the same, right? And then there's a joy that follows
- 57:11Speaker 1: as they open that Bible, they begin their walk with Jesus,
- 57:14Speaker 1: even in the difficult parts of the world. So, you know,
- 57:17Speaker 1: I'm grateful for Bob, and again, taking the time to
- 57:21Speaker 1: put his thoughts into that email to you, Kevin. Yeah,
- 57:25Speaker 1: it's interesting that that's coming on day one and we're
- 57:27Speaker 1: kind of regrouping and tackling this big goal of blessing
- 57:31Speaker 1: just north of 10,000 waiting believers that we know by
- 57:34Speaker 1: name at Bible. I want to take it India before
- 57:37Speaker 1: I do that. I want to say thanks to Shirley
- 57:38Speaker 1: at Flower Mound, Texas. She said, Michael, Kevin, I'm in.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Eleanor of Edison, New Jersey said, count me in a
- 57:45Speaker 1: gift of 150 Bibles, I should say $ 150 to take
- 57:49Speaker 1: care of 30 Bibles today. And then Paul of Breezy Point,
- 57:53Speaker 1: New York said, Michael, Kevin, count me in a $ 300
- 57:56Speaker 1: gift today again to take care of 60 waiting believers.
- 58:00Speaker 1: And Kevin, this Bible for Bible match means that anybody
- 58:03Speaker 1: who gives really in the next few moments as we're
- 58:05Speaker 1: together for this segment, their gift will be doubled and
- 58:08Speaker 1: will bless waiting believers again that we know by name.
- 58:12Speaker 1: At Bible League.
- 58:14Speaker 4: So that phone number is 1-800-937-9673. In case you would
- 58:18Speaker 4: like to get your gift matched, call right now. 1-800-YES-WORD, 1-800-YES-WORD,
- 58:24Speaker 4: or give online at ThatKevinShow.com. Because if you give online
- 58:27Speaker 4: at ThatKevinShow.com. it will be matched as well. Everything's time stamped.
- 58:31Speaker 4: We can accurately match those Bibles that come in, but
- 58:36Speaker 4: we need you to call right now. 1-800-937-9673. 1-800-YES-WORD. 1-800-YES-WORD.
- 58:45Speaker 4: And you were talking about going to India.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Yeah, let me tell you about Vishnu in India. This
- 58:50Speaker 1: is the world's most populated country. China held the top
- 58:53Speaker 1: spot for a number of years, but with all of
- 58:54Speaker 1: their Restricted family policies. India is now atop that list.
- 59:00Speaker 1: 1.5 billion people call India home. This is the land
- 59:02Speaker 1: of Gandhi long gone are the days when Gandhi promoted
- 59:06Speaker 1: a nonviolent Hinduism. I mean, the party in power right now, Kevin,
- 59:09Speaker 1: has said what? There's no room for Christianity within the
- 59:12Speaker 1: walls of India. There are anti-conversion laws on the books
- 59:15Speaker 1: in 26 states within India that will say what? You
- 59:19Speaker 1: tell somebody what Jesus means to you, we can throw
- 59:21Speaker 1: you in jail. In fact, it was about a year ago, Kevin,
- 59:24Speaker 1: a partner of Bible League, a pastor in his wife
- 59:26Speaker 1: and their four children ranging from five to 13 years
- 59:29Speaker 1: of age were all taken out to a reservoir and drowned.
- 59:33Speaker 1: They wanted to make a, essentially brought false charges against
- 59:37Speaker 1: this pastor who he was forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity.
- 59:40Speaker 1: That is, of course, against the law in India. It
- 59:43Speaker 1: was not true, but they've paid an incredible price. People
- 59:46Speaker 1: like Vishnu are doing that as well. You've got this
- 59:50Speaker 1: audio clip from my colleague, Bobby, there within the walls
- 59:53Speaker 1: of India. He talks about people are coming to saving
- 59:56Speaker 1: faith in the midst of all of this chaos that's there.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: And I tell you what, these Bibles, they're making an
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: incredible difference.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: People whom we have written off, they are responding to
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: the gospel. So that itself is a miracle. And it
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: gives us great encouragement to share the gospel, even to
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: the worst of sinners. And someone opened God's word, someone
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: told them, someone cared for them. And that's how their
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: lives was changed.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: 1-800-937-9673. Every time you give a Bible through Bible League,
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: you're encouraging the next Vishnu to be able to share
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: the gospel. And we want you to be able to
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: be able to do that and to do it to
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: the maximum. That's why we've got this matching challenge. It's
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: on right now for the next 10 minutes, every person
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: that gives your number of Bibles will be matched. So
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: someone gave earlier, you mentioned Michael $ 300, that's 60 Bibles.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: If you give $ 300 right now, that's going to magically
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: become not magically, but through this challenge, it will become
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: 120 Bibles. For those that are needing them. And we
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: just we just want you to participate and maximize the
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: opportunity to do good. You hear me talk about this
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: a lot on the show. We have an opportunity to
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: do good. We should do it. If we have an
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: opportunity to do the maximum good, we absolutely should do it.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: Because that is doing the most good that can be
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: done in that moment. And this is a maximum good opportunity.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: Every Bible will be matched for any that you give
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: in the next 10 minutes.
- 1:01:23Speaker 15: 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: Please go and be as generous as you can right now.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Stick around for more of That Kevin. Next time.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Here he is from New York.
- 1:01:57Speaker 11: That Kevin.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Welcome back. It's That Kevin Show. Thatkevinshow.com. That's where you
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: can also go to make sure that someone who desires
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: having a Bible in their language, in their dialect, in
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: their hands, for their family, for their minds, for their hearts,
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: you can actually get it to them. Click the Bible
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: League banner at the top of the page. And if
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: you do so right now, If you give a gift
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: right now, every Bible you will give right now will
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: be matched Bible for Bible. So please make that call
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: 1-800-YES-WORD or go to thatkevinshow.com and click the Bible League
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: banner at the top of the page. The phone number
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: is 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. You can also go on thatkevinshow.com and

- 1:02:46Speaker 4: of the homepage or just call 1-800-YES-WORD, 1-800-YES-WORD, 1-800-937-9673. Michael
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Woolworth is back with us. And Michael, there's some question
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: as to whether or not, you know, people really need
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Bibles on the planet. And you were part of a,
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: the Bible League was a part of a study that
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: really did a conclusive amount of work on defining just
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: how great that need was.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: You know, as we do that, take you to the
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Bible access list. Let me say thanks to Linda of Dallas, Texas,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: listening today. She said, I'm in for 20 Bibles. Keith
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: of Hewitt, New Jersey said, Michael, Kevin, count me in
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: a $ 100 tax deductible gift for 20 Bibles. And then Steve,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: fill in the waiting hands of believers all over the
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: world from St.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: Paul.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: A gift of $ 75 for 15 Bibles today. Yeah, you know,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: we've always known that people need God's Word, right? The
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Bible access list, something that the Bible League entered into
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: a couple of years ago with other organizations you would recognize,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Voice of the Martyrs, Open Doors. There's several others, again,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: that you would recognize, Biblica. We got together and we said, look,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: let's study 88 of the world's countries. Not every country
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: is what we've would call under-resourced, right? There are places where,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you know, Bibles are in, you know, plentiful supply and
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: easily accessible, right? But there's plenty of places where that's
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: not true. And so, Kevin, we sought to do a
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: couple things. Number one, identify where are the restrictions the greatest?
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Where is it the toughest for a Christian to find
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: a Bible? And then secondly, where's places of opportunity today?
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Where are there the most Christians waiting for a Bible.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: If we had a Bible to give today, they would
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: gladly take it, right? And so we partnered together with
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: these organizations We found out that Bible League serves in
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: 24 of the top 25 countries where there's shortages. So, again,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: it was great to find out that in God's providence,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you know, we're not shooting in the dark. We're where
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: we need to be as an organization. Let me have
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: my colleague, Toby, speak to the restrictions. He's on the
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: continent of Africa, the part of the world where Christianity
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: is growing in the greatest numbers. But it's also the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: part of the world where there are an incredible number
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: of restrictions, Kevin.
- 1:05:08Speaker 16: Yeah, Michael, one of the things that really became clear
- 1:05:10Speaker 16: to us was just how huge the opportunity is that
- 1:05:13Speaker 16: God's given us right now to get his word into
- 1:05:15Speaker 16: more people's hands and hearts. And that Toby, who works
- 1:05:18Speaker 16: with our teams in Southern Africa, was telling us that
- 1:05:21Speaker 16: again and again, he's having to tell the partners, slow down.
- 1:05:25Speaker 16: You know, pace yourself on how you're doing the programs
- 1:05:27Speaker 16: because we can't get you the materials quickly enough to
- 1:05:30Speaker 16: meet the need that you're seeing. And some of the
- 1:05:33Speaker 16: other peers of his from South Asia and from East
- 1:05:37Speaker 16: Africa nodded and said, yes, this is we're having this
- 1:05:40Speaker 16: exact same experience. challenge of we can't get materials quickly enough.
- 1:05:45Speaker 16: We can't get enough Bibles. We can't get enough Bible
- 1:05:46Speaker 16: study booklets to meet the need and the demand that's
- 1:05:50Speaker 16: there in our countries. With just the staff and the
- 1:05:53Speaker 16: teams that we have today, we could do twice as
- 1:05:55Speaker 16: many Bibles, twice as much material, maybe three times. And
- 1:05:59Speaker 16: the others all agreed, yes, this is what we're seeing
- 1:06:02Speaker 16: in country after country all around the world.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: The phone number is 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. thatkevinshow.com and click the
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: Bible League banner at the top of the homepage.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Yeah, my colleague, Rob Bullock, I mean, Rob met with
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: some of our partners in Greece. They came together to
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: find out, you know, where's the need? Is it to
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: sort of hold back? No, it was what? We need
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: more Bibles. If we had double the amount of Bibles
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: in our possession today, we could meet the need for
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: waiting believers all over the world. Hey, let me, while
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: we're on the topic of restrictions, let me just tell you,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: the top countries where the restrictions are greatest. Number four
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: is North Korea. Probably no secret there, right? Yemen, number three.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Number two, Afghanistan. The country with the greatest restrictions in
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: the world falls on the continent where Christianity is growing
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: in the greatest numbers, and that is Somalia. And then
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: speaking of the shortage, Rob just addressed that. Again, the
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: places where there's an incredible need, all of these have
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: more than 10 million Christians waiting there. Number five is China.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Four is India. Three is Ethiopia. Two is Nigeria. Number
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: one in the world with a significant number of Christians
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: waiting for Bibles today, the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: And so there's this myth, Kevin, that Bibles are available everywhere.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: The Bible access list tells us what? That is not true.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: And again, it tells us that we're not shooting in
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: the dark. Bible League serving in 24 of those top
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: 25 countries. And so there is an opportunity there. Before
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: we go to break, though, you've also got this clip
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: from Toby that just talks about the incredible challenges with
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: filling those empty waiting hands.
- 1:07:41Speaker 17: These men and women go through a lot to ensure
- 1:07:44Speaker 17: that the gospel is being shared and people are being reached.
- 1:07:48Speaker 17: In the past experience, a lot of shipment delays due
- 1:07:52Speaker 17: to some countries that intentionally frustrate scriptures getting in. And
- 1:07:57Speaker 17: we convert your prayers for that.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: They intentionally frustrate the process of getting the Bibles to them.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Sounds like spiritual warfare to me. And friends, that's where
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: you and I can play an active part in God's
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: work by helping them get the Bibles. The phone number
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: is 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673. You can also go on thatkevinshow.com and
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner at the top of the homepage, thatkevinshow.com,
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: and click the Bible League banner at the top of
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: the homepage. Or just call.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: 1-800-YES-WORD. 1-800-YES-WORD.
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: Here he is from New York. That Kevin Kelly.
- 1:08:54Speaker 11: Here he is, from New York, That Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Welcome back. It's That Kevin Show, thatkevinshow.com. We are in
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: the midst of trying to supply Bibles to those who
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: need them, to those who cannot get them, and to
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: those who desperately want them. You may not be in
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: any of those categories, but the people that we're trying
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: to help are. They check all three boxes. They want
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: a Bible, they can't get one, and they really want
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: to have it for themselves, but to also share with
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: their friends and to bring other people to Jesus Christ.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: It's really an amazing thing that the Bible League has
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: been doing for almost 90 years in which every Bible
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: that goes out ends up impacting about 12 people for
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: the cause of Jesus. So it's really, really a powerful
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: way to invest in the kingdom of God. Michael Woolworth
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: is back with us. And Michael, it just strikes me
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: That every day during this campaign, we have people to
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: thank because they've given Bibles. And then there's people that
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: are actively praying for those Bibles to be sent. Well,
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: you know what?
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: If you can't give today, you know, feel no guilt.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I mean, I really mean that. But pray for those
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: who have the means to give because we've said together
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: as two ministries, let's get it done for just north
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of 10,000 waiting believers today. that we know by name
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: at Bible League. Kevin, I'm grateful for people like Deborah
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: of Rutgersville, New Jersey. She said, I'm in. Maria of
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Morris Plains, New Jersey said, count me in, Michael and Kevin.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: And then friends listening in Shepherdsville, Kentucky today saying we're
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: in at a $ 150 gift, enough to put Bibles into
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the empty waiting hands of 30 believers today. And again,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: above all today, my prayer at Bible League, I tell
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you my affiliates at Bible League, my colleagues would share
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: in this, Our prayer above all is what God would
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: be glorified in these stories. Every one of these stories
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: of redemption and transformation, he gets the glory for that.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: We take absolutely no credit. We've seen this happen too
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: many times to think that, you know, we can take
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: the credit for it. This is scripture rooted joy and
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: change when a life has changed and they're never the same.
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: And there's this incredible joy that follows when they can
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: open up the pages of Scripture, read about the God
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: who loves them. So again, take heart. The gospel is
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: going forth. And again, we get to be a part
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: of it today for the princely sum of only $ 5
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: a Bible.
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: If you want to participate, the phone number is 1-800-937-9673. 1-800-YES-WORD.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: It might be easier to remember. 1-800-YES-WORD. But the number
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: is 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: 1-800-937-9673.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: Or go to thatkevinshow.com, thatkevinshow.com. Top of the page, click
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: the banner, and you're right there on the giving page,
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: and you can decide how many Bibles you want to give.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: And if you do it right now, it's going to
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: be doubled. Not that you're going to pay for them.
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: Someone else is going to come alongside and match that.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: But if you're going to do 20 Bibles, that's a
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: $ 100 gift. Someone else is going to come along and
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: do 20 Bibles in matching your 20 Bibles. So that's
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: 40 Bibles that get to go out because you made
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: the gift today. Right now, 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or thatkevinshow.com. And
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: I made mention, Michael, that there are people actively praying
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: for Bibles right now. Where are they praying from?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Well, you know, as we talk about the work of
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: the Great Commission, you know, your part in that today
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: can be as simple as what? It's sending a Bible, right,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: to waiting believers. You know, I'm thinking of the four
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: types of soil, right, that Jesus talks about. In Matthew 13,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: the parable of the sower, Kevin, he talks about, again,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: the different responses to the word of God. You know,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: the seed is sown, if you will. It falls by
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the wayside. That's those who have hardened hearts, right? They're
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: refusing to hear this precious gospel. There's the stony places
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: where that seed falls. That's the shallow faith. It lacks root,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: so it dies, right? That word falls among the thorns, right?
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Too many worldly distractions. The life and the wealth choke
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: the word, if you will. It doesn't have a chance.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: in the lives of these people who have no time
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: for it, right? And then Jesus talks about the good ground,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: the faithful disciples who hear, they understand, they obey the word,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: and it produces a great harvest. Well, the harvest is here, right?
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I mean, we've talked about this Bible access list. When
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: we began engaging in that work about two years ago, Kevin,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: we could say with confidence at that time, there are
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: 100 million, 100 million waiting believers in the world today
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: that are, again, praying for God's precious word. In two years' time,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: that has increased by 20%. We can tell you today
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: with confidence, Bible League, Voice of the Markers, Open Doors,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: we can tell you that it's increased to about 120 million.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: God is truly at work in His world through His Word.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: And let me tell you three of those praying for
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Bibles right now. Augustine is 30. He's in Albania, a
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: former atheist, now leading a Bible study with 20 believers.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: They need Bibles. Siam is in Nepal, the country that's
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: being ravaged by these flash floods right now. He's a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: former Hindu. His family has shunned him now that he
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: follows Jesus. He speaks the Nepali language. He's praying for
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: a Bible. And then one more, Maria is in Colombia.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: She's widowed. She has two children, one of those with
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: cerebral palsy. She's just now learning to read and write
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: in Spanish. She's a believer. Maria is praying for the
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: precious word of God. Kevin, I'm sharing a lot of
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: needs today. It's 50 Bibles here, 500 there. But I
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: also want you to hear from one of our partners.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I call him a hero of the faith. The man
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: has suffered incredibly as he ministers in South Asia. But
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Ramesh talks about what your gifts are doing today in
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: his part of the world.
- 1:14:27Speaker 18: Because of your kind help, we are able to do
- 1:14:30Speaker 18: the great work for the Lord. Sometimes you may not
- 1:14:33Speaker 18: know what is happening here. You may not see with
- 1:14:36Speaker 18: your eyes, but God is doing great work. Through your donation,
- 1:14:40Speaker 18: through your prayers, God is doing great work. So we
- 1:14:43Speaker 18: want to just say thank you so much for your
- 1:14:46Speaker 18: loving kindness and what you are doing for God's work
- 1:14:50Speaker 18: in this land.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Well, to hear Mike Woolworth say thanks, please know it's genuine.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: But boy, there is a man that is taking those
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: gifts that you send in Christian faith, believing that what
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: God says in Isaiah 55 is true. What my word
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: will go forth, it will accomplish my purpose. And then
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: in Christian love, right? We're told over and over again,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: it's not enough just to say, I care. Do something right.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: And Ramesh is telling you it's making an incredible difference.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: So right now, friend, we need you to just go
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: to the phone, make a call and give as many
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: Bibles as you can. And it's going to be matched
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: Bible for Bible 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-YES-WORD, 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-YES-WORD. Or maybe you're
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: the kind of person that prefers to just go online
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: and do it all yourself. You can go to thatkevinshow.com,
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner at the top of the page.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: shouldn't take more than about two minutes to either make
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: the call or to go online and to complete the form.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: Either way, you're going to be sending Bibles and no
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: matter how many you send, they're going to be matched
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: Bible for Bible. So if you can give a 500
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: or 300 Bible gift right now, that would be what? $ 1, 500.
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: That's going to be doubled and it's going to become
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: 600 Bibles just because of your generosity. So We want
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: you to maximize the amount of good that can be
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: done right now because this challenge is in front of us.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Someone was generous enough to offer to match. Let's be
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: brave enough. Let's be bold enough to take advantage of
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: that offer and to send as many Bibles as we can. 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673,
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: or go to thatkevinshow.com. Stick around for more of That Kevin.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Serving it up with a no-drink minimum.
- 1:16:52Speaker 12: It's That Kevin Show.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: All right, welcome back. That Kevin Show. Thatkevinshow.com. And hello
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: to those of you in Anchorage and Columbus and Miami
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: and San Diego and Reno and Greenville. For all the
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: new listeners that are joining us, appreciate the fact that
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: you are with us today. Michael Woolworth, the fun part
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: of this is to see people respond and to know
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: that those Bibles are going.
- 1:17:23Speaker 8: To go out.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Well, Kevin, praise God. All these, what do you got,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: 400 new affiliates, right?
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: I mean, just something along those lines.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Something along those lines. I mean, it makes sense when
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I look at this list of people to think, OK,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: you know, where these folks come from, right? Well, they're
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: part of this expansive, this expansive listening family. Gregory of
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Bull Shoals, Arkansas, said, I'm in at 20 Bibles. Rhonda
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: of Brooklyn said, Michael, Kevin, count me in. 10 Bibles. Nita,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: listening in Louisiana today, said, I'm in. Count me in.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I want to be a part of this. Again, we
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: have a goal to bless 10,800 waiting believers that we
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: know by name at Bible League. We're closing in on 2,000.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: And again, we're there because of people like Gregory, Rhonda
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: and Anita. But keep us moving forward today. I'd love
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: to wrap up the hour today. Maybe just talking about women.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: You know, we gosh, reach we've reached 100 million people
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: in the course of our nine decades in ministry. Kevin,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: about 60 percent of those are women. Right. Most of
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: those are women. I think of women in the Bible.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Sarah found out what nothing's too hard for God.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Esther, God can turn nobody into somebody. Rahab, your past
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: doesn't matter. God can use anyone. You know, Hannah found
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: out what God answers. And of course, Mary said, let
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: it be to me according to the word, to your word.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: And there's many other women there in the Bible. You know,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: these two women are waiting for Bibles today on the
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: continent of Africa. This is where Christianity is growing in
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: the greatest numbers. Dali lost her husband's and about 30
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: extended family members to the Rwandan genocide 30 years ago. Today,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: she's a believer. She's forgiven those who's murdered her family
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: after reading the words of Christ on the cross. 92
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: adults in her village of 300 adults. Kevin, a third
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: of those adults are now following Jesus because they look
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: at Dally, they see the grace and the gumption in
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: her life, and they say, you know what? I want that.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Lally's the former village witch doctor in Madagascar, became a
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: believer after somebody introduced her to the hope of the gospel.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: She read the account of Zacchaeus in Luke 19. She's
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: led 200 families, 2,100 adults and children to him in
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the remote rainforest area of Madagascar, Africa, where no bookstores
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: or Amazon.com exist, right? But again, I want you to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: hear the audio clip of people like Christine. God has
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: her situated there on the continent of Africa. I met
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: her when I was in Tanzania not too long ago.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: What a beautiful spirit. I think you'll enjoy hearing this clip.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: The woman is Christine. She's a follower of Christ, has
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: an incredible burden to reach women in that part of
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the world.
- 1:19:56Speaker 19: First, I will introduce myself as Christine. I'm born again,
- 1:20:01Speaker 19: and I'm happy for the books that you have given us.
- 1:20:05Speaker 19: And the Bible has helped us to become women with
- 1:20:08Speaker 19: an empower. So we can teach the young women how
- 1:20:11Speaker 19: they can stay. Also, we can teach them to read
- 1:20:14Speaker 19: the Bible because that's simple language for them to read.
- 1:20:18Speaker 19: We have Swahili Bible, and also we have English Bible.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: So we are very happy.
- 1:20:24Speaker 19: Very happy, and we are asking God to bless you
- 1:20:28Speaker 19: as well as us.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: Friends, make the call 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or go to thatkevinshow.com.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: It seems like she's truly thankful, and that's the response
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: every time a Bible League Bible hits the hands of
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: someone who's been wanting one. Like, there's so much joy.
- 1:20:49Speaker 4: They may dance. They may say they're happy. They may cry,
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: but they're all experiencing joy.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Well, I witnessed somebody who what? Who just clutched the Bible.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: She held in her hands the book that would tell
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: her about the God who loved her. And Kevin, I
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: was there in that room when she read her very
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: first scripture. What was it? It was, I'm a new
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: creation in Christ. The old is gone. The new has come. Hey, listen,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: that's thrilling to be there when they read that very
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: first scripture.
- 1:21:15Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: Friends, make the call 1-800-937-9673, 1-800-937-9673, or go to thatkevinshow.com.
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: Thank you.
