- 0:00Speaker 1: I have an email of interest here if you'd like to.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Uh huh, Billson's interesting email.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Oh interesting, all right, just says I was in Salt
- 0:12Speaker 2: Lake City Friday for the first time in many years.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I immediately tuned my rental car radio to ninety six
- 0:19Speaker 2: point three and was rewarded with familiar banter of Kerry
- 0:22Speaker 2: Bill and Gina. Unfortunately, the episode was a rerun. I
- 0:27Speaker 2: noticed this when the boner candidate included some horrendously racist
- 0:31Speaker 2: thing Trump had spread about the Obamas that obviously couldn't
- 0:34Speaker 2: be current news. I mean, what would even be the
- 0:38Speaker 2: point of anti Obama fueled racism at this stage? Racism
- 0:42Speaker 2: fueled anti obamaism enery. I guess it could be dementia,
- 0:46Speaker 2: but that stuff feels current to him, or maybe that's
- 0:49Speaker 2: what passes for nostalgia in a man like that. But no,
- 0:53Speaker 2: it must have been a classic episode of the radio
- 0:56Speaker 2: from Health program. That's the only explanation. Love run On
- 1:00Speaker 2: Sentence Man. And then I find that this is attached
- 1:07Speaker 2: and there's an old email from run On Sentence Man
- 1:12Speaker 2: from November twenty second, twenty twelve.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Hello, my name is run On sentence Man.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Okay, you may remind remember me from such boner intros
- 1:21Speaker 2: as old timey sales, pitch sexy for the ladies, super happy, positive, upbeat.
- 1:28Speaker 2: If you were listening closely last week, you may have
- 1:30Speaker 2: noticed that these have been getting a lot of airtime lately. Obviously,
- 1:33Speaker 2: this isn't because they're any good. It's because I've successfully
- 1:36Speaker 2: infiltrated the Simmons Media computer network with a virus that
- 1:40Speaker 2: plays one of my intros no matter what button carry pushes.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I don't know what this is, what this is about exactly.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It's a long time ago.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Maybe it made sense back then.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Did we have some recorded boner intros? I don't think
- 1:56Speaker 1: we did.
- 1:56Speaker 4: We did at one point some music ones or somehow
- 2:00Speaker 4: were just spoken.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I've spoken, yeah, let me let me go. Look, you
- 2:06Speaker 2: might have some, so he said. But here's a new
- 2:08Speaker 2: one that I want you to play. And this is
- 2:11Speaker 2: in twenty twelve. It's a bluegrass sounding. It would be
- 2:14Speaker 2: to the tune of coming round a mountain or thereabouts.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's time now for the boner of the day, or
- 2:19Speaker 2: to listen to examples of behavior which are bad, stupid,
- 2:23Speaker 2: or funny, or waste a lot of money or draw
- 2:25Speaker 2: a tear of sadness from the Savior. First we'll get
- 2:28Speaker 2: two stories of poor fools. Then we'll get to listen
- 2:30Speaker 2: to the news. Then we'll get a third, and after
- 2:33Speaker 2: we've heard them, we'll all get a chance to call
- 2:36Speaker 2: and vote and choose. If you're certain lucky voter, you're
- 2:39Speaker 2: gonna win a T shirt that reads Boner. You can
- 2:42Speaker 2: wash it dry or spin it, but only if you
- 2:44Speaker 2: win it by the grace of of something in our sponsor.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And that's that's and I don't I don't have.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Any Well, if that was from twenty twelve that we
- 2:56Speaker 3: weren't here, yeah, that's true.
- 2:58Speaker 4: That was a different It would have been a different computer,
- 3:01Speaker 4: different library.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I do have, Sister Dottie.
- 3:05Speaker 5: This sister Donye Stixon. It's now time for Boner of
- 3:09Speaker 5: the Day. Three news stories examples of bad, stupid or
- 3:13Speaker 5: funny human behavior. You'll decide with your vote who is
- 3:16Speaker 5: the worst, most deserving of the award. No one wants
- 3:20Speaker 5: to win the Boner of the Day boner.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Now that means mistake.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Two candidates now, then a third candidate after the Big
- 3:30Speaker 5: Boy News.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Once you've heard all three, you will vote. One of
- 3:34Speaker 1: you lucky voters.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Will receive I can't buy it gotta win it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Where are you from?
- 3:38Speaker 5: Hell?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Boner T shirt courtesy?
- 3:44Speaker 2: I remember this now we did have various people. Yeah, yes,
- 3:48Speaker 2: that was kind of a cool thing. We we should
- 3:50Speaker 2: do that again, just you know, get Gurky to do
- 3:54Speaker 2: it and you know, well not today anyway.
- 4:00Speaker 1: That run on sentence.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Man, this this brings up another topic.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Well it made me think of it.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot we don't remember.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Oh yes, you know, five days a week for thirty
- 4:12Speaker 2: five forty years.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So we had a lovely student from the University of
- 4:17Speaker 3: Utah in here yesterday who was interviewing us for something
- 4:21Speaker 3: for selling magazine, and she had questions that we can't
- 4:25Speaker 3: answer because.
- 4:27Speaker 1: We don't remember.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I don't remember, and I think maybe we need to
- 4:31Speaker 3: find a time the next I don't know if we
- 4:34Speaker 3: have time tomorrow, but early next week maybe where we
- 4:38Speaker 3: get some questions that she had for us and ask
- 4:41Speaker 3: friends of the program, because you guys remember stuff that
- 4:44Speaker 3: we don't.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know what occurred to me, Gina that I have
- 4:48Speaker 2: see these books? Yeah, I have thirty years or forty
- 4:53Speaker 2: years worth of these. You're not going to go through that?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Why not?
- 4:57Speaker 3: You were going to sit and go through those?
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got I have, you know, and they're I mean,
- 5:03Speaker 2: they're just they're notes of stuff I have to do
- 5:06Speaker 2: during the day, but they're also show ideas or things
- 5:09Speaker 2: that I want to talk about on the show the
- 5:11Speaker 2: next day. And yeah, no, it's not that hard because
- 5:14Speaker 2: you just you can just sort of skim through it
- 5:16Speaker 2: and it'll what show related stuff will catch my eye.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And I think I have I know I have, starting
- 5:23Speaker 2: in like nineteen eighty seven, probably.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Because because she had questions and I felt bad because
- 5:29Speaker 3: like we were like, oh, I don't remember, and I know.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So we have that resource that you have, but our
- 5:35Speaker 3: friends of the program are good resource too.
- 5:37Speaker 2: We also we also have a really thorough blog for
- 5:44Speaker 2: a certain number of years that's available, a daily blog
- 5:50Speaker 2: of the show. Tropos did most of it there some
- 5:54Speaker 2: other people worked on it too, here and there.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't know where that is. I think you can
- 5:58Speaker 1: find it on Wikipedia.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I was reading one of them today as a matter
- 6:03Speaker 2: of fact, that I don't think was by a tropost
- 6:05Speaker 2: I forget how I stumbled across. I was looking for
- 6:08Speaker 2: something I can't remember what, and I stumbled across that.
- 6:11Speaker 3: But it's our our fortieth anniversary this year and I
- 6:15Speaker 3: think it's a good time for us to try to
- 6:19Speaker 3: gather some of this information up. And because we've done
- 6:22Speaker 3: so much, we can't we can't remember all of it.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Oh, some guy has it right here and yeah, just
- 6:28Speaker 2: radio from Hell dot live journal dot com. There it
- 6:31Speaker 2: is and it's I don't know how I'll click on
- 6:34Speaker 2: it and see how Oh my god, it's.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It's it's there's a lot of it. How far back
- 6:43Speaker 1: it go?
- 6:45Speaker 4: I mean she was asking us questions like when did
- 6:47Speaker 4: we you know, start and all that.
- 6:52Speaker 3: But like when was the first time we were in
- 6:54Speaker 3: the priparade? When was the first time she.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Did ask us that? Yeah, twenty twelve. It looks like
- 6:59Speaker 1: it goes too. It goes to twenty twelve. From where though,
- 7:03Speaker 1: that's all, Well, it hasn't been touched in ten years,
- 7:05Speaker 1: so I mean, when did it start twenty twelve? It
- 7:09Speaker 1: started in twenty twelve.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah, to twenty fifteen.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So that's just a couple of years. Good. So that's
- 7:19Speaker 1: not that's not it.
- 7:21Speaker 4: That's a part.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That's a portion of it.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Was it was a writing exercise for a tropos that's
- 7:26Speaker 4: what he said. Well, I'll dig up my resume and
- 7:30Speaker 4: look at it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: No, no, that's for something else. Oh that's for something else,
- 7:37Speaker 1: off Carrie. Sorry. Sorry,
