- 0:00Speaker 1: Thank you, Bob. Coach a game like this in front
- 0:02Speaker 1: of a crowd like this, what are the emotions that
- 0:05Speaker 1: you get to feel looking at the room of guys
- 0:08Speaker 1: who just accomplished a pretty I'd say good, feel good win.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, it's just it's kind of why you
- 0:16Speaker 2: coach college football, you know, because you get to experience
- 0:19Speaker 2: moments like this with young men that you really care
- 0:21Speaker 2: about and that are invested in this program the way
- 0:24Speaker 2: they are, and so it's it's a good feeling. And
- 0:27Speaker 2: I'm just really happy for our players and the way
- 0:29Speaker 2: they hung in there and showed resilience and kept coming back,
- 0:31Speaker 2: and you know, it was really today was kind of
- 0:34Speaker 2: an application of all lessons learned this year and put
- 0:38Speaker 2: it into action.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Thirty eight in attendance. What was it like being able
- 0:41Speaker 1: to play in front of that kind of crowd, loud,
- 0:43Speaker 1: largest crowd since twenty thirteen.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I mean, like I've always said, and I'll say it again,
- 0:48Speaker 2: we love it when there's people at our games. And
- 0:50Speaker 2: if there people aren't there, then you know, that's that's
- 0:53Speaker 2: fine too. It's a harder and money, but we always
- 0:55Speaker 2: appreciate the crowd. I think that I was pretty oblivious
- 0:59Speaker 2: to it mostly game, but when when we needed him
- 1:01Speaker 2: at the end and they were great. Don't get me
- 1:03Speaker 2: wrong when I say oblivious to it, I'm not saying
- 1:06Speaker 2: I didn't know. I'm just saying, you know, you're focused
- 1:08Speaker 2: on what's happening on the field. But I know this
- 1:11Speaker 2: as I heard him on that last drive, and I
- 1:14Speaker 2: think they had something to do with that with us
- 1:15Speaker 2: getting that sack cause fumble with the end and.
- 1:18Speaker 1: It was Brian Parham that had the sack cause fumble.
- 1:20Speaker 1: We've talked about him all year. What does he continue
- 1:23Speaker 1: to do here with the Huskies prove his.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Worth in college football? Not just here. You know, there's
- 1:29Speaker 2: a young man that did not play college football last year.
- 1:32Speaker 2: You know, he's at wat University of Washington, wonder redshirt.
- 1:35Speaker 2: They basically booted him out of the program, and sometimes
- 1:40Speaker 2: you know, that can spell the end. But he was resilient.
- 1:42Speaker 2: He trusted us, he came here. Now, Washington said good
- 1:46Speaker 2: things about him. You know, Jedfish and I are friends
- 1:48Speaker 2: and they liked him a lot. But he just has
- 1:51Speaker 2: proved his worth, you know, And it shows you that
- 1:54Speaker 2: if you're resilient and you stick with something you really
- 1:56Speaker 2: believe in and you work hard, good things can happen.
- 1:59Speaker 1: In the second half, it was a duke offense that
- 2:01Speaker 1: you guys had to keep up with, and Skyler Bell
- 2:03Speaker 1: continues to do what he's done all years. So what
- 2:06Speaker 1: more can you say with two more touchdowns about Skyler
- 2:09Speaker 1: Bell here tonight?
- 2:10Speaker 2: I don't know what to say about Skyler. I mean
- 2:12Speaker 2: that that corner that was covering him is a you know,
- 2:14Speaker 2: potential first round draft pick. He's one of the best
- 2:16Speaker 2: corners in the country. And you know, Skyler did a
- 2:19Speaker 2: pretty good job. Not I mean, and they didn't cover
- 2:21Speaker 2: him with that guy the whole game, but when they did,
- 2:24Speaker 2: you know, sky competed his butt off. And I think
- 2:26Speaker 2: Skyler continues to prove his worth. And I think that
- 2:28Speaker 2: connections me doing him and Joe is very relevant. And
- 2:32Speaker 2: it sure paid off tonight.
- 2:35Speaker 1: In the second half. Needed to play to spark things,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and there are three phases of football, and special teams
- 2:40Speaker 1: came up with a fake punt, so you know what
- 2:43Speaker 1: went into the confidence of being able to draw that
- 2:45Speaker 1: up and get that first down.
- 2:47Speaker 2: We've been working on it all year. It's something that
- 2:49Speaker 2: we you know, we work on every single week. So
- 2:51Speaker 2: we knew that that we knew how to execute. It
- 2:54Speaker 2: wasn't something we just put in this week and you know,
- 2:55Speaker 2: say hey, let's see if it works. We knew that
- 2:57Speaker 2: we had a really good chance to make it work.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Our guys had a high degree of confidence that would work,
- 3:01Speaker 2: and they just went out and executed it.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And lastly, you know the rule book inside it out
- 3:06Speaker 1: far more than most people. At the end of the
- 3:09Speaker 1: third quarter with two minutes left, what were you trying
- 3:11Speaker 1: to get an explanation from from the officials with that
- 3:13Speaker 1: fourth one fourth and one play where a timeout needed
- 3:16Speaker 1: to be called.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I wanted an explanation as to why they didn't let
- 3:20Speaker 2: us SUP. That's about all I can say without having
- 3:24Speaker 2: to pay money. So I'm going to just stop right there.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'll let you say what you want, or maybe we
- 3:29Speaker 2: talk off Aaron, then you can convey my feeling.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Don kidden kidding win number seven. Congrats coach, Thank you,
- 3:35Speaker 1: thank you,
