- 0:20Speaker 2: between Hannah and Dylan and also to catch up on
- 0:25Speaker 2: their life because it's been a bit since Heather has
- 0:27Speaker 2: stepped or stepped into this podcast.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And do you know who what I forgot all about
- 0:33Speaker 3: with Heather.
- 0:35Speaker 4: That she was on Matt James season, Like, I totally
- 0:38Speaker 4: forgot when I saw her at this wedding Cortery Bagby's
- 0:40Speaker 4: wedding this weekend, I was like, I totally forgot about
- 0:44Speaker 4: you pulling up in the minivan at Matt James seasond.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Oh, because she was on Clayton. She was on Clayton
- 0:49Speaker 2: season also and.
- 0:50Speaker 3: The no, no, she was on Colton's it was Clton
- 0:53Speaker 3: she's from.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and then come back from Matt James.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 3: She's like, well, guess what, I'm so glad that you
- 0:59Speaker 3: forget that part of me.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I don't blame her. Let's bring in let's talk to
- 1:04Speaker 2: her about it. Here's Heather Martin.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Heather, you have gone to three weddings in less than
- 1:10Speaker 4: three weeks and you just got home. You went to
- 1:14Speaker 4: three weddings and then arrived home. So tell everybody how
- 1:17Speaker 4: crazy your past few weeks have been, mostly including your
- 1:21Speaker 4: trip to France for Hannah and Dylan's one.
- 1:23Speaker 6: Yes, I mean yeah, three weddings in two weeks.
- 1:25Speaker 5: I round trip to Tahoe, which is great, went to
- 1:28Speaker 5: Italy with the fam, and then yeah, Paris for Hannah's wedding,
- 1:31Speaker 5: which was.
- 1:33Speaker 6: I can't even describe it. People have been asking me, like,
- 1:36Speaker 6: how to describe the wedding?
- 1:37Speaker 3: This is why you're here. You better figure out.
- 1:38Speaker 6: I know I can give you the detail by detail,
- 1:41Speaker 6: but it was unlike anything I have ever I've ever experienced, truly.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It's okay, So you went to you went to Italy
- 1:49Speaker 2: with your family, right.
- 1:51Speaker 6: I love my mom and sister.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yes, that wasn't for a wedding, No, it.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Was we made an excuse to go since you're going
- 1:57Speaker 5: to go to Paris, going to be there anyway, let's
- 2:00Speaker 5: make a chup out of it.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you ended in Paris. We have seen
- 2:06Speaker 2: the pictures. Heather, we a lot to catch up with
- 2:09Speaker 2: you about too. Ashley just reminded me that you were
- 2:11Speaker 2: on Matt James' season. Totally forgot that.
- 2:14Speaker 6: We didn't forget that.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, I'm going to dig into that a little
- 2:18Speaker 2: bit because now that's fresh in my mind. But one
- 2:21Speaker 2: of the reasons that you're here is because you are
- 2:24Speaker 2: a good friend to Dylan and Hannah. Their wedding looked
- 2:28Speaker 2: it looked so nice that it's hard to believe. Is that?
- 2:31Speaker 2: Does that make sense? Like it the pictures make me go,
- 2:34Speaker 2: what's going on here? Like what happened that? Like this
- 2:37Speaker 2: wedding was pulled off the way it was like, I
- 2:39Speaker 2: don't get it. It's not it's not computing in my mind,
- 2:43Speaker 2: and so I need your help and explaining to me
- 2:45Speaker 2: and the audience, Uh, like what was going Like what
- 2:49Speaker 2: was happening? This looked like a wedding I would watch
- 2:52Speaker 2: on national television for like a prince and princess.
- 2:55Speaker 6: It was like the Royal wedding.
- 2:56Speaker 5: We kept saying that, like in the pictures, don't you
- 3:00Speaker 5: and capture like the I'm like, oh, that doesn't even
- 3:02Speaker 5: look like it, Like it just couldn't even capture it.
- 3:05Speaker 6: But yeah, guys, it was insane.
- 3:07Speaker 5: It was so basically it was in We were in
- 3:10Speaker 5: Paris at the hotel, like the whole party pretty much
- 3:12Speaker 5: stay at the same hotel, and we get bused.
- 3:13Speaker 6: To like an hour hour away from the city, like
- 3:17Speaker 6: out in the middle of nowhere. We're like arriving. We're
- 3:19Speaker 6: all in these little like Mercedes buses. Like what's it
- 3:22Speaker 6: going to be like?
- 3:23Speaker 5: And we show up and we walk out in this
- 3:25Speaker 5: just long driveway up to this like beautiful chateau and
- 3:29Speaker 5: we're walking on cobblestone.
- 3:31Speaker 6: And all of a sudden, like a string quartet starts.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Playing, and like it's so quiet and everything, and then
- 3:36Speaker 5: people can come out like giving us champagne and AfterAll
- 3:40Speaker 5: sprits and we're sitting down like it just feels like
- 3:43Speaker 5: you're transported to like a different time, completely different time. Yes,
- 3:47Speaker 5: like I was is this like where are we? It
- 3:50Speaker 5: was just and everything was just so beautiful, and then
- 3:52Speaker 5: the ceremony.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Was so intimate and Hannah looked like as she always looks,
- 3:58Speaker 6: but just like simple and elegant and the stunning.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Yeah, and then we had cocktail hour. I don't know
- 4:04Speaker 5: if you guys want detail by detail, but so.
- 4:06Speaker 4: The theme her look was supposed to be nineties super
- 4:10Speaker 4: model inspired and that whole like that whole vibe, which
- 4:15Speaker 4: if you were to watch commercials from the nineties was
- 4:17Speaker 4: kind of their their theme for the whole wedding.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Yes, and there was kind of very.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Just the like every little is the elegance, but like
- 4:26Speaker 5: simple elegance.
- 4:27Speaker 6: It was like it's so hard to describe.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Everything was just like it seems simple, but it was
- 4:32Speaker 5: the most extravagant thing ever.
- 4:34Speaker 6: So just her just the way she looked.
- 4:36Speaker 5: It was like her dress was the most stunning dress ever,
- 4:39Speaker 5: but it was just plain, no frills nothing. Her hair
- 4:42Speaker 5: was just back like perfectly and a half a half.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Down in a long veil.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Even the music was just like yeah, it was just
- 4:50Speaker 5: it was the you felt the nineties then kind of
- 4:52Speaker 5: parent trap theme too. I think that's what she was
- 4:54Speaker 5: kind up to it, which is great. Their first dance
- 4:56Speaker 5: song was the Love but the parent Trap so cute.
- 5:01Speaker 2: So I mean, I gotta let's start it then from
- 5:04Speaker 2: the beginning. For those that don't know, including myself, why Paris,
- 5:10Speaker 2: I think Paris.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I think they wanted to do something special, But I
- 5:13Speaker 5: think Paris was something that for Dylan and Hannah they
- 5:15Speaker 5: just had like a special place in their heart.
- 5:17Speaker 6: And they're like they didn't know where they I think.
- 5:19Speaker 5: They tore a bunch of different venues like here, and
- 5:22Speaker 5: they're both in San Diego now too, and I think
- 5:24Speaker 5: they just like fell in love with Paris.
- 5:26Speaker 6: And the spot and they're like, let's just freaking do it.
- 5:29Speaker 5: And they brought everything to Paris, like their hair people
- 5:33Speaker 5: they're making like everyone had.
- 5:34Speaker 3: The same flower people.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Yeah, and the flowers were unrealist.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Like I was like, oh my gosh, they sent all
- 5:40Speaker 3: they sent them there.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Everything everything to Paris.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It can it be cheap? Right, Ashley.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I think a lot of us out there are speculating.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Just be like, okay, so what was trade? What came
- 5:53Speaker 4: as influencer trade? And what was paid for by the
- 5:58Speaker 4: you know them and the family. Yeah, I didn't even
- 6:01Speaker 4: know what you've did that come and what are the
- 6:03Speaker 4: translation the money? You know?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Was it cheaper to do in Paris or was it
- 6:06Speaker 3: more expensive to do in Paris?
- 6:08Speaker 5: And yeah, and it was a Wednesday, so like maybe
- 6:10Speaker 5: it was a Wednesday, But also at the same time.
- 6:13Speaker 6: I'm like, I don't even think they were thinking about
- 6:14Speaker 6: that and it doesn't matter.
- 6:15Speaker 4: And being a Wednesday because people have to travel that
- 6:18Speaker 4: far anyway exactly.
- 6:19Speaker 6: So it didn't matter.
- 6:20Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't even I couldn't even begin to
- 6:23Speaker 5: imagine what it costs. But I don't even know if
- 6:26Speaker 5: that was a Yeah, it was just I was like,
- 6:28Speaker 5: this will be something I will never I've never experienced
- 6:31Speaker 5: before and I'll never experience again.
- 6:33Speaker 6: Like It's just it was one of those.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Things, isn't it weird? I don't know if you felt
- 6:38Speaker 2: this way I felt. I feel like this wedding would
- 6:40Speaker 2: have made me feel like this more than ever. But
- 6:43Speaker 2: you get invited to a wedding and you're obviously good
- 6:46Speaker 2: friends or you're family members with the people getting married,
- 6:50Speaker 2: You know them well, you're a part of their you know,
- 6:53Speaker 2: top four hundred or five hundred or one hundred or
- 6:56Speaker 2: whatever it is, and then you get see these weddings,
- 6:58Speaker 2: especially ones like this, and they feel like untouchable in
- 7:02Speaker 2: a sense, like celebrities. Does that ever happen to you?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Like you're almost like nervous to be around them at
- 7:08Speaker 2: these weddings because they're such in the spotlight and they
- 7:11Speaker 2: look so beautiful and that it's their night too, and
- 7:13Speaker 2: so you want to respect that. But that always happens
- 7:15Speaker 2: to me at weddings where the bride and the groom
- 7:18Speaker 2: feel like celebrities. To me, they feel untouchable in that
- 7:22Speaker 2: moment totally.
- 7:25Speaker 5: And I feel like even at this wedding even more
- 7:26Speaker 5: because people were like, you know, it was like talked
- 7:28Speaker 5: about and they kind of arease celebrities.
- 7:31Speaker 6: So I was like, I don't deserve to be here.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Why am I here? You like, I'm pos now?
- 7:36Speaker 3: And there was only about one hundred and fifty people, right.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm really bad at numbers. But it was not
- 7:41Speaker 5: big at all, I mean in comparison to what it
- 7:43Speaker 5: could be. It felt intimate too, It felt very intimate,
- 7:48Speaker 5: But yeah, I was I had that feeling ben for sure.
- 7:50Speaker 5: It was like, what is happening? How I shouldn't be here?
- 7:54Speaker 5: These people are too cool for me?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean. But you did show up. So
- 7:58Speaker 2: you showed up to Paris, you said they You stayed
- 8:00Speaker 2: in the hotel with a few other Bachelor alum and
- 8:03Speaker 2: some friends and people that you probably knew. Did you
- 8:07Speaker 2: have any expectation of the beauty that this wedding was
- 8:11Speaker 2: gonna be or the extravagance of this wedding or were
- 8:15Speaker 2: you shocked throughout the process.
- 8:19Speaker 5: I think I knew it was going to be beautiful,
- 8:21Speaker 5: and I had seen like little bits and pieces of
- 8:23Speaker 5: like you know, some details and stuff like that, but
- 8:27Speaker 5: I could not even begin to imagine. I don't even
- 8:31Speaker 5: think pictures or videos could even begin to explain. Like,
- 8:33Speaker 5: I think it was like a feeling that you felt
- 8:36Speaker 5: that they like so curated so perfectly that I couldn't
- 8:40Speaker 5: even begin to.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Like picture it or like even imagine what was going
- 8:44Speaker 6: to be.
- 8:44Speaker 5: So no, I did not think it was going to
- 8:46Speaker 5: be as magical or extravagant as it was. And I
- 8:50Speaker 5: think the venue had a lot to do with that,
- 8:52Speaker 5: because it was just like, yeah, you're transported back in time,
- 8:55Speaker 5: and the backside of the venue was even better than
- 8:57Speaker 5: the front, and it was just like it was something else.
- 9:11Speaker 3: What were the vows?
- 9:11Speaker 5: Like?
- 9:13Speaker 6: They were so sweet and so personal.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I remember anything specifically from them.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I think, honestly, I don't know specific Let me try
- 9:22Speaker 5: to think I think Dylan was I had never seen
- 9:25Speaker 5: I like don't picture Dylan as emotional, like I just
- 9:29Speaker 5: I didn't even think, like, I don't know, they're kind
- 9:30Speaker 5: of like silly and like really sweet with each other.
- 9:32Speaker 5: But I don't really I don't think I personally ever
- 9:35Speaker 5: see them super like, I don't know, emotionally vulnerable towards
- 9:39Speaker 5: each other at least, you know, not in like that
- 9:43Speaker 5: public way. And it was so sweet to see like
- 9:46Speaker 5: Dylan so emotional and.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Crying, like crying when he see her saw her walk
- 9:50Speaker 6: down the aisle, and his vows were just like really sweet.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Still had like the Dylan like funny jokes in there,
- 9:56Speaker 5: but so so sweet and like yeah intimate and just
- 10:01Speaker 5: like really like vulnerable and tender, which I thought was
- 10:05Speaker 5: really really cute.
- 10:06Speaker 6: And Hannahs were the same.
- 10:07Speaker 5: They're they both were just like I was really glad
- 10:09Speaker 5: they did like their own vows because I wasn't sure.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I was like, maybe I'll just be like more formal
- 10:13Speaker 5: to make it more perfect, like you know, just do
- 10:15Speaker 5: the vows of what they like, repeat after the pastor
- 10:18Speaker 5: or whatever it was. It was yeah, very sweet, very emotional,
- 10:22Speaker 5: and I don't know, it just felt it didn't feel
- 10:25Speaker 5: like a TV type situation at all, you know, it
- 10:27Speaker 5: felt like they just met each other.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And yeah they're in love. Yeah, so you know, obviously
- 10:34Speaker 2: we've been around Dylan a few times. I've never known
- 10:36Speaker 2: him to be emotional either.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Uh.
- 10:38Speaker 2: They're always funny and goofy and just ready to have
- 10:41Speaker 2: a good time wherever they're at.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Uh.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know, I do know many of the guys that
- 10:48Speaker 2: are part of Bacheloration, Like, I've never heard anybody dislike Dylan,
- 10:52Speaker 2: but I and I'm very unfamiliar And so can you
- 10:55Speaker 2: remind us if any of the guys from the show
- 10:58Speaker 2: were invited and at this wedding? And Okay, so who
- 11:03Speaker 2: was all there? I guess maybe just from Bachelor Nation,
- 11:06Speaker 2: because I do know a lot of them that would
- 11:07Speaker 2: consider themselvesselves friends with Dylan. I just don't know how
- 11:10Speaker 2: many of them are that close of friends.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Yeah, so for the guys, it was only Jed and
- 11:16Speaker 5: Mike were there.
- 11:17Speaker 6: Those are the only two guys, Mike Johnson. Mike Johnson.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Yes, Oh I didn't see pictures of him. Yes, I
- 11:22Speaker 3: guess I didn't see pictures of Jed either. I just
- 11:24Speaker 3: saw pictures of the girls.
- 11:25Speaker 6: The girls probably the only ones who took actual VOTs them.
- 11:30Speaker 6: But yeah, so for on the guys that it was
- 11:32Speaker 6: just Jed and.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Mike's because those are two people that did not come
- 11:36Speaker 2: to mind when I think of people that I know
- 11:38Speaker 2: to be friends with. Dylan.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I honestly didn't know who to expect coming from
- 11:43Speaker 5: Dylan sid. I thought maybe Mike, but yeah, I didn't know,
- 11:46Speaker 5: and so yeah, it was just those two.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Some fans are speculating that it's weird that Tyler Cameron
- 11:50Speaker 4: wasn't there.
- 11:52Speaker 6: I wasn't sure. I was wondering if Tyler Cameron was.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I think maybe Tyler was invited and he couldn't come,
- 11:58Speaker 5: But I don't yeh.
- 11:59Speaker 6: I was surprised for that too.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Why are they is Dylan and are Dylan and Tyler friends?
- 12:05Speaker 5: I think that Tyler they were on the same season,
- 12:07Speaker 5: so I think there are Yeah, from what I know,
- 12:10Speaker 5: but I'm not too familiar either.
- 12:13Speaker 2: The well, the girls obviously did take the pictures. Many
- 12:19Speaker 2: of these women that were there are in relationships some
- 12:22Speaker 2: of you are not to at least publicly yet. One
- 12:26Speaker 2: of the things about a wedding, especially one that's romantic
- 12:28Speaker 2: and extravagant, is it brings love to life, and there's
- 12:32Speaker 2: usually amazing stories at weddings of people finding love. Maybe
- 12:38Speaker 2: at it, there is there any love stories that you
- 12:41Speaker 2: would like to share, or maybe about you personally that
- 12:44Speaker 2: came from this wedding.
- 12:47Speaker 6: There is none. There wasn't many single people out of
- 12:50Speaker 6: this wedding.
- 12:51Speaker 3: I have to say, at least I know so no.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I mean, how amazing would that have been meeting someone
- 12:58Speaker 5: in Paris at a wedding.
- 13:00Speaker 6: I would love to say that was my story. Sadly,
- 13:05Speaker 6: it seems like a movie, it does. It would be great.
- 13:08Speaker 6: I would love to have been that one up.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Well, I have to ask about food because I'm a foodie.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I hate calling myself a foody.
- 13:15Speaker 4: That's so stupid, but I do think about the food
- 13:17Speaker 4: when I go to a wedding. I'm like, that's all
- 13:18Speaker 4: I really care about, beyond the vows, like vows, Now
- 13:22Speaker 4: it's food time. Okay, So what did you guys have
- 13:24Speaker 4: as entrees or appetizers?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Cocktail? Hower tell us everything was the signature drinks.
- 13:29Speaker 5: I was so.
- 13:29Speaker 6: Excited about it.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Okay, but first of all it was really cool. Was
- 13:31Speaker 5: an ice sculpture that had had like a little thing
- 13:35Speaker 5: and espresso Martini coming out of it, which was just
- 13:37Speaker 5: to me.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Wait, especial Brcini was coming out because I was.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Like a little from the top, like they could like it,
- 13:43Speaker 5: like came down through the bottom and it was just
- 13:45Speaker 5: awesome with their initials on it.
- 13:47Speaker 6: I was like, oh my gosh, so perfect.
- 13:50Speaker 5: So that was amazing for drinks, and then the best
- 13:54Speaker 5: French onion soup I've ever had in my life was
- 13:56Speaker 5: the appetizer. We were all going crazy. I was like,
- 13:59Speaker 5: oh my gosh, that's the best tend and soup ever. Truly,
- 14:03Speaker 5: I'm like, it's just not gonna live up to that again.
- 14:05Speaker 5: And then at dinner, I I know, I love I
- 14:08Speaker 5: love the food too. The dinner, I had a really
- 14:11Speaker 5: good truffle nocchi and I also split some of my
- 14:15Speaker 5: sisters like steak, beef whatever.
- 14:18Speaker 6: It was so good. And then I didn't have dessert.
- 14:21Speaker 6: I should have had. It was on the table after,
- 14:23Speaker 6: but everyone was dancing and I was really bummed about that.
- 14:26Speaker 2: The wedding, obviously, we know Dylan Hannon, they do like
- 14:29Speaker 2: to party, one of one of the things at weddings
- 14:33Speaker 2: as well. I'm just I just really really want to
- 14:35Speaker 2: know that the juicy stuff to this wedding. So far,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it sounds like romance was not in the air. So
- 14:41Speaker 2: I'm assuming then you you drink your pains away. H
- 14:47Speaker 2: an hour long shuttle ride between a venue and a
- 14:51Speaker 2: hotel can be one of two things. It can be
- 14:54Speaker 2: awful because after a wedding and everybody is on then
- 14:58Speaker 2: on a bus, stuck on a bus for an hour
- 15:00Speaker 2: going up and down the hills of France. Or it
- 15:03Speaker 2: can be incredible with sing alongs and you know all
- 15:08Speaker 2: the extra stuff that goes on. How was the van home?
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'm from your giggle and your smile. I'm assuming there's
- 15:20Speaker 2: a there's some good memories.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Do you know something I don't, Ben?
- 15:26Speaker 6: I want I want to. Oh, yeah, so.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I know, I know if you're lying or not, and
- 15:32Speaker 2: so I just like to know how the van home was.
- 15:35Speaker 5: That's so interesting that you ask. The van home was
- 15:40Speaker 5: a wild ride. I don't know how much to describe,
- 15:43Speaker 5: but it was. I think, yeah, everyone had been It
- 15:46Speaker 5: was till one in the morning, so everyone had been
- 15:48Speaker 5: drinking all I my sister doesn't drink, and I really
- 15:53Speaker 5: I think it was just distracted. I wasn't really drinking
- 15:56Speaker 5: that much, but it was. I think most people were
- 15:59Speaker 5: drinking it and it was.
- 16:01Speaker 6: It was a wild ride, that's all.
- 16:03Speaker 5: I don't know how much detail to go into, but
- 16:04Speaker 5: people were there was lots of situations going out on the.
- 16:09Speaker 4: D tell us the situations, Yeah, you know, just like,
- 16:15Speaker 4: did it feel like a high school like field trip
- 16:18Speaker 4: us a little bit?
- 16:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I don't know what kind of high school field trips
- 16:21Speaker 2: you went on, Ashley, but from what I understand, this
- 16:23Speaker 2: was not a high school field trip.
- 16:25Speaker 6: I do know what you're saying.
- 16:26Speaker 4: I I know, yes, like did somebody make out and
- 16:29Speaker 4: it was just like, oh my god, they're making out?
- 16:31Speaker 6: No? No, no, no.
- 16:32Speaker 5: It was more just like a I don't know, like
- 16:35Speaker 5: people were getting their little tips. Maybe people were, you know,
- 16:39Speaker 5: it was just like it was just everyone was on
- 16:41Speaker 5: a different level on the ride home and it was
- 16:44Speaker 5: fine by the end, but it was an.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Interesting I asked this because I know with Jessica and
- 16:49Speaker 2: I's wedding, we had a shuttle that was about a
- 16:51Speaker 2: forty minute shuttle back to downtown Nashville, and uh, one
- 16:55Speaker 2: of my best friends tells me that is one of
- 16:57Speaker 2: the most fun forty five minutes he's ever had. You had, Yes,
- 17:00Speaker 2: you had little arguments going on because people are, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 2: tired and they've had a long night. You also have
- 17:06Speaker 2: We've had a lot of drink. Yea have romance going on.
- 17:09Speaker 2: And then you have the singing typically and the karaoke
- 17:12Speaker 2: and the dancing, and this bus or this shuttle just
- 17:17Speaker 2: feels like a mix of chaos and beauty and memories
- 17:22Speaker 2: and and so I'm curious just when you sit in
- 17:25Speaker 2: that environment, and yes, you probably do remember it because
- 17:29Speaker 2: it's you, Heather, Like, did it did it just feel
- 17:33Speaker 2: like a beautiful ending to a beautiful wedding?
- 17:39Speaker 3: Why it was this bus?
- 17:43Speaker 6: It was?
- 17:44Speaker 5: It was a beautiful, and it was I think everyone
- 17:46Speaker 5: was just on a different level, that's all.
- 17:48Speaker 6: It like. It was just yeah, ever, it was just wild.
- 17:54Speaker 4: How many people were on this Because you said they
- 17:56Speaker 4: are a little Mercedes one, so they had a little
- 17:58Speaker 4: shuttle like the shuttles.
- 18:00Speaker 6: So it was big. It was like a full on
- 18:01Speaker 6: it was like a school bus size.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Oh okay, all Bachelor Nation was in one bus.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Three buses so so now no, I wasn't even on
- 18:13Speaker 5: the same bus as I think the girls. I was
- 18:15Speaker 5: with the girl Demian Cathy, and then a bunch of
- 18:20Speaker 5: some people. A lot of people didn't know there was
- 18:22Speaker 5: like so there's three different sections of buses, but I
- 18:25Speaker 5: don't know.
- 18:26Speaker 6: I just sat back.
- 18:26Speaker 5: I think the bus ride from me, I sat back
- 18:28Speaker 5: and I watched it felt like I was watching the show.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it was great, Ben. You had to have known
- 18:44Speaker 3: there was something about the bus.
- 18:45Speaker 2: No, I just know buses bring out the best people. Uh,
- 18:48Speaker 2: Heather h to kind of continue on here. Uh, would
- 18:52Speaker 2: you rank this as a top five most beautiful wedding
- 18:55Speaker 2: that you've been to? Considering you've been to.
- 18:58Speaker 5: It's it's the best, most beautiful wedding I will ever
- 19:03Speaker 5: be like go to that truly.
- 19:05Speaker 6: I just yeah, I don't think anyone will do it
- 19:08Speaker 6: like it.
- 19:09Speaker 5: I know that I'll never have a wedding like that,
- 19:10Speaker 5: and it's totally I've accepted that.
- 19:12Speaker 6: There's no you know, it's just one of those things.
- 19:14Speaker 5: It was.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you had your shot to have that kind of wedding.
- 19:18Speaker 2: You didn't meet your prince charming in France, and so
- 19:21Speaker 2: it brings us then into your personal life a little bit.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Do you have a prince charming in your life? In general?
- 19:26Speaker 6: I do not, Ben, I do not have a friends charming.
- 19:29Speaker 6: You guys have let me know.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Your storyline during the Bachelor was that I think, what,
- 19:34Speaker 2: you've never been kissed or something? Then you got kissed,
- 19:39Speaker 2: and uh, have you been kissed since?
- 19:42Speaker 5: I say, I don't kiss and tell anymore goodness, but
- 19:49Speaker 5: I have dated sense, and I just think it's tough
- 19:51Speaker 5: out there.
- 19:52Speaker 6: It is just it's a world.
- 19:55Speaker 2: It's a rough one, it is. I'm hearing that more
- 19:58Speaker 2: and more. I mean, we've gre to headline yesterday that
- 20:02Speaker 2: Susie Evan said dating has become I think the quote
- 20:06Speaker 2: was almost like some of the people are discussed like
- 20:08Speaker 2: they just like really been disgusting, and it sounded like
- 20:11Speaker 2: they had been based on her quote, but dating had
- 20:13Speaker 2: just been really hard. That's why I'm thankful I'm not
- 20:17Speaker 2: doing it. But yeah, it's just it's for you. It's
- 20:19Speaker 2: not easy, Huh.
- 20:20Speaker 6: It's not.
- 20:21Speaker 5: I just think I I've always like, it's always been
- 20:23Speaker 5: like I'm not super and I don't just want to
- 20:25Speaker 5: date to date.
- 20:26Speaker 6: I just don't have fun dating. Oh, it's horrible. I
- 20:30Speaker 6: hate like saying no to people. I hate like going
- 20:32Speaker 6: on a date and then like yeah, I mean not.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Liking them and then having to let them down.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Oh, the worst feeling in the world.
- 20:39Speaker 5: And I feel like that's you know, that's obviously dating
- 20:41Speaker 5: has the majority of the time of what happens, so
- 20:44Speaker 5: it's just not fun. And I feel like I'm looking
- 20:46Speaker 5: for like a very specific thang in person. So I
- 20:50Speaker 5: just and it's just hard to find. Yeah, yeah, I
- 20:53Speaker 5: just it takes one. I always say it just takes one.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Well holding out for that, but well, you know, necessarily.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But you are a friend to Minny. You are a
- 21:04Speaker 2: good friend. People like you. Heather, you getting invited to
- 21:08Speaker 2: a lot of cool events, and your best friend or
- 21:10Speaker 2: one of your best friends or a friend. I don't
- 21:12Speaker 2: know how you categorize her, but say she's she's up
- 21:16Speaker 2: there in your life. Is Hannah Brown? She just got engaged.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I'm going to go out on a limb here and
- 21:22Speaker 2: say that Hannah Brown's wedding might be as spectacular.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be more low key.
- 21:29Speaker 2: You think, well, yeah, what do you think Heather?
- 21:32Speaker 6: I think more low key. I think she's more low key. Well,
- 21:36Speaker 6: I don't know. She lays nice things too, but I
- 21:38Speaker 6: just don't. I think Adam and Hannah are just gonna
- 21:42Speaker 6: have like a I think it's.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Gonna be stunning and beautiful. Yeah, but it probably won't
- 21:47Speaker 5: be comparison. It'll probably be more.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Chill, you know. Yeah, yeah, but who knows. You never know.
- 21:52Speaker 6: People will surprise.
- 21:53Speaker 3: You did you know, the engagement was coming.
- 21:56Speaker 6: I did.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I was I was going to fly out. Adam had
- 21:59Speaker 5: told me like a month and a half.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Ago and he's like, I'm doing this at.
- 22:03Speaker 5: The Bolt Farm Treehouse thing, and like, I just want you.
- 22:06Speaker 5: He's like I just had this vision of you being there,
- 22:08Speaker 5: blah blah blah. I was so excited and he's like,
- 22:10Speaker 5: it's the twenty fifth and like, oh, you're like, I
- 22:11Speaker 5: have a wedding.
- 22:13Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the wedding.
- 22:13Speaker 5: And then I had to fly to another wedding, so
- 22:15Speaker 5: I couldn't even Yeah, I couldn't even remotely even I
- 22:19Speaker 5: was going to try to like do it where I
- 22:20Speaker 5: can be there for like three hours and then come back,
- 22:22Speaker 5: and I was just like, it wasn't in the cards.
- 22:24Speaker 5: So I was very sad not to be there, but
- 22:27Speaker 5: it was. I think it was perfect for them, and
- 22:29Speaker 5: it was so beautiful. And now I'm like, I'll go
- 22:32Speaker 5: out there and when I have more time to actually
- 22:33Speaker 5: hang out with them and all the things. But they're
- 22:36Speaker 5: very happy, they're very happy, and it was, Yeah, it
- 22:39Speaker 5: was stunning, So I'm so happy for them.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Well, Heather to close up here, thank you for breaking down,
- 22:47Speaker 2: Dylan Hannah's wedding. Obviously, what we got from it is
- 22:49Speaker 2: it's beautiful, it's spectacular. It took you to a different
- 22:52Speaker 2: place in time.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I had a very interesting bus ride.
- 22:55Speaker 2: And you had a great bus ride. But we started
- 23:00Speaker 2: podcast with me admitting that I totally forgot that you
- 23:02Speaker 2: were on Matt James's season. We first saw you obviously
- 23:06Speaker 2: on Colton's season. You then commented back to me and said,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I could forget, Like You're glad I forgot that you
- 23:13Speaker 2: were on Matt James's season. Why is that? Obviously you
- 23:18Speaker 2: made a conscious choice to show up. There was something
- 23:22Speaker 2: that was intriguing about Matt to you, you walked in.
- 23:25Speaker 2: It's hilarious to me that you walked in because you
- 23:27Speaker 2: are a very sweet, kind, just innocent soul in so
- 23:31Speaker 2: many ways, and yet you come in and cause drama,
- 23:34Speaker 2: which I think is hilarious. So going back in that
- 23:38Speaker 2: time now looking back on it, how do you feel
- 23:41Speaker 2: about that decision?
- 23:43Speaker 5: I mean, I don't regret the decision, because I think
- 23:46Speaker 5: I would have regretted not trying. And at the time,
- 23:51Speaker 5: all the evidence pointed to like we could be a
- 23:54Speaker 5: good match, you know, Like I was like, I just
- 23:57Speaker 5: all I knew is I wanted to meet him, and
- 24:00Speaker 5: Hannah really wanted me to meet him.
- 24:02Speaker 6: It seems like, okay, like this could be.
- 24:04Speaker 5: You know, it's Hannah just never says like you guys
- 24:08Speaker 5: would be a good match.
- 24:09Speaker 6: She does not. That's not really.
- 24:12Speaker 5: I think like she's just very She's like, no, she's
- 24:14Speaker 5: very particular for friends and what you know, she knows
- 24:17Speaker 5: and so she's never like she's not like a matchmaker,
- 24:19Speaker 5: like always trying to set me up.
- 24:21Speaker 3: You know, are they still friends?
- 24:23Speaker 6: I think so. I don't think they tell you know,
- 24:24Speaker 6: it's just a wonder to things.
- 24:25Speaker 5: We don't talk all the time. But yes, they're definitely.
- 24:27Speaker 5: I think they're definitely still friends. Yea. But yeah, so
- 24:31Speaker 5: I was just like, if I don't do it, I'm
- 24:33Speaker 5: gonna regret it. So I don't regret trying because I
- 24:36Speaker 5: think I would have been wondering.
- 24:39Speaker 6: And now I don't have to wonder. I just have
- 24:41Speaker 6: to embarrass myself on TV. But it was great. It
- 24:44Speaker 6: was one of those fun things to look back on.
- 24:46Speaker 6: It was hilarious.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Everyone laughs at me in my family and friends, and
- 24:50Speaker 5: it's it's a fun memory.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Now, Heather, you shared with me something at the wedding
- 24:54Speaker 4: that we were both out this weekend about your stint
- 24:58Speaker 4: on that season, and we can't go step by step.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Through it, we get in trouble.
- 25:04Speaker 4: But if you can just sum it up and like
- 25:06Speaker 4: a sentence, what would you say, Oh, gosh, Ashley, I.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Have a line for you.
- 25:13Speaker 6: If you don't come up with it, I a sentence.
- 25:16Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I just.
- 25:21Speaker 6: I don't know. I just feel like, yeah, I think
- 25:23Speaker 6: it was something that.
- 25:26Speaker 4: I don't know how some of those sentences say, don't
- 25:28Speaker 4: always believe what you see.
- 25:31Speaker 2: If I'm a listener right now, I have no clue
- 25:32Speaker 2: what the two of you are talking about. I have
- 25:34Speaker 2: no idea what's going on.
- 25:35Speaker 3: We're making them think.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm thinking about. There's no there,
- 25:40Speaker 2: there's no uh, there's no context. So, Matt James' season,
- 25:45Speaker 2: you told Ashley something in secret. Ashley's now asking you
- 25:48Speaker 2: to summarize this experience. Is what I'm assuming and getting.
- 25:52Speaker 6: From this, Yes, exactly, and you.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Have yet to summarize it.
- 25:59Speaker 6: I don't know how to summarize that.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I think actually got it, Like things
- 26:02Speaker 5: aren't always the way they look or seem.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So what I get from that is you did not
- 26:07Speaker 2: know Matt James was the bachelor. You showed up somebody else.
- 26:11Speaker 5: They told me, they lied to me and said it
- 26:13Speaker 5: was this person and to share it, and I was
- 26:16Speaker 5: shocked to see him.
- 26:17Speaker 4: But the one fact that nobody would actually believe that
- 26:20Speaker 4: is true is that Heather herself chose the minivan to
- 26:24Speaker 4: drive up to Nemicole and them.
- 26:25Speaker 5: That is absolute fact. People always think that was something. Yeah,
- 26:29Speaker 5: even actually asked this second, like, oh they.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Made you that.
- 26:31Speaker 5: I was like, that was the one thing that I
- 26:33Speaker 5: did on my own, Yeah, the one thing that was
- 26:36Speaker 5: my own decision.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Unfortunately, I have a philosophy, Heather. Anybody who drives a
- 26:41Speaker 2: minivan without kids, they're a baller. I like him.
- 26:45Speaker 4: I was gonna say suspect, Now I respect it.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I have two buddies who chose to drive a minivan
- 26:51Speaker 2: all through college. Tons of space, tons of room, uh,
- 26:55Speaker 2: tons of opportunity for fun and addctivities. I love it exactly. Activities, well, Heather,
- 27:03Speaker 2: you obviously have a lot more activities in your life
- 27:05Speaker 2: to get to. You have a lot of exciting things
- 27:08Speaker 2: coming up. Thank you for coming on the Almost Famous podcast.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I would love to bring you back after Hannah and
- 27:14Speaker 2: Adam's wedding because I doubt I get invited since I've
- 27:17Speaker 2: never actually met Hannah in person. That would be a
- 27:20Speaker 2: very weird invite for me. And so you have to
- 27:22Speaker 2: come back. But here's what I want you to do
- 27:23Speaker 2: when you go to that wedding. Okay, yes, I want
- 27:26Speaker 2: you to bring a notebook. I want you to write
- 27:28Speaker 2: down notes. I want you to categorize them into romance, drama, fun,
- 27:34Speaker 2: interesting facts, and then you come back on the podcast
- 27:37Speaker 2: we break it down with you.
- 27:38Speaker 6: All right, perfect, We'll do our wedding reporters.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Heather Martin, thank you so much for joining us.
- 27:46Speaker 6: Bye, Thank you guys. Bye.
- 27:48Speaker 2: It's obviously always exciting to hear love stories kind of
- 27:52Speaker 2: come to a new chapter. And Heather obviously has participated
- 27:56Speaker 2: in a lot of these weddings. She's good friends as
- 27:58Speaker 2: we mentioned with so many people. Thanks for Heather for
- 28:01Speaker 2: coming on and being I think I love it, Ashley.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I love what you said. She is our wedding reporter
- 28:05Speaker 2: for the almost famous podcast.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Let's do it to have her what we did have her,
- 28:10Speaker 3: we have.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Let's have her for Hannah and then we have to
- 28:14Speaker 4: take notes like this at Dean and Kylin's wedding.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot
- 28:18Speaker 2: of notes. I'm like yeah. As a friend, I cannot
- 28:20Speaker 2: share this anyways. Hey, uh, until next time, I've been Been.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I've been Ashley. Bye.
