  I'm

  it's

  And
• 2:03
  you
• 2:03
  know,
• 2:03
  folks,
• 2:04
  we're
• 2:04
  going
• 2:04
  to
• 2:04
  do
• 2:04
  what
• 2:04
  we
• 2:04
  normally

  do

  on
• 2:05
  the
• 2:05

• 2:06
  we're
• 2:06
  going
• 2:06
  to
• 2:06
  take
• 2:06
  one
• 2:07
  pattern
• 2:07
  and
• 2:07
  in
• 2:07
  the
• 2:08
  case
• 2:08
  of
• 2:08
  Chase,
• 2:08
  we're
• 2:09
  going
• 2:09
  to
• 2:09
  take
• 2:09
  the
• 2:09
  spiral
• 2:09
  spook
• 2:10
  and
• 2:10
  we're
• 2:10
  going
• 2:10
  to
• 2:10
  talk
• 2:11
  about
• 2:11
  the
• 2:11
  fishing
• 2:11
  problem,
• 2:12
  all
• 2:13
  the
• 2:13
  design
• 2:13
  and
• 2:13
  construction
• 2:14
  issues
• 2:14
  and
• 2:14
  how
• 2:14
  to
• 2:15
  fish
• 2:15
  it.
• 2:15
  So
• 2:16
  really,
• 2:16
  really
• 2:16
  looking
• 2:16
  forward
• 2:16
  to
• 2:17
  that.
• 2:17
  And,
• 2:17
  you
• 2:17
  know,
• 2:18
  Chase,
• 2:18
  let's
• 2:19
  get
• 2:19
  back
• 2:19
  in
• 2:19
  the
• 2:19
  time
• 2:20
  machine
• 2:20
  a
• 2:20
  little
• 2:20
  bit.
• 2:20
  You
• 2:21
  know,
• 2:21
  what
• 2:21
  was
• 2:21
  the
• 2:21
  hole
• 2:22
  in
• 2:22
  your
• 2:22
  fly
• 2:22
  box
• 2:22
  you
• 2:23
  were
• 2:23
  trying
• 2:23
  to
• 2:23
  fill
• 2:24
  when
• 2:24
  you
• 2:24
  started
• 2:24
  designing
• 2:25
  the
• 2:25
  spiral
• 2:25
  spook?
• 2:27
  Well,
• 2:28
  I
• 2:29
  mean,
• 2:29
  it
• 2:29
  was
• 2:29
  pretty
• 2:30
  clearly
• 2:30
  a
• 2:31
  spook
• 2:31
  because
• 2:32
  I
• 2:32
  come
• 2:33
  with
• 2:33
  a
• 2:34
  conventional
• 2:35
  background.
• 2:35
  So
• 2:36
  I
• 2:36
  used
• 2:36
  to
• 2:36
  just
• 2:37
  absolutely
• 2:37
  love
• 2:37
  throwing
• 2:38
  a
• 2:38
  big
• 2:38
  white
• 2:39
  spook
• 2:39
  around.
• 2:40
  And
• 2:41
  there's
• 2:41
  nothing
• 2:42
  just
• 2:42
  quite
• 2:42
  like
• 2:43
  it
• 2:43
  with
• 2:43
  the
• 2:43
  glide
• 2:45
  in
• 2:45
  the
• 2:45
  fly
• 2:45
  fishing
• 2:46
  world.
• 2:47
  And
• 2:48
  so
• 2:49
  I
• 2:49
  started
• 2:49
  messing
• 2:50
  around
• 2:50
  with
• 2:50
  it.
• 2:50
  And
• 2:51
  then
• 2:51
  I
• 2:51
  started,
• 2:52
  you
• 2:52
  know,
• 2:52
  researching
• 2:53
  a
• 2:53
  little
• 2:53
  bit
• 2:53
  about
• 2:55
  what,
• 2:55
  what
• 2:56
  can
• 2:56
  a
• 2:56
  fly
• 2:56
  do?
• 2:56
  And
• 2:57
  I,
• 2:57
  I've
• 2:57
  seen
• 2:57
  the,
• 2:58
  I
• 2:58
  found
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  deer
• 2:59
  hair
• 2:59
  patterns,
• 3:00
  but
• 3:00
  I
• 3:01
  wanted
• 3:01
  something
• 3:01
  that
• 3:02
  was
• 3:02
  easier
• 3:02
  to
• 3:02
  tie,
• 3:03
  had
• 3:04
  a
• 3:04
  little
• 3:04
  more
• 3:04
  glide
• 3:04
  and
• 3:05
  durability.
• 3:06
  And
• 3:07
  so
• 3:07
  that's
• 3:07
  when
• 3:07
  I
• 3:07
  started
• 3:08
  messing
• 3:08
  around
• 3:08
  with.
• 3:09
  Trying
• 3:09
  to
• 3:09
  figure
• 3:10
  out
• 3:10
  a
• 3:10
  spook
• 3:11
  on
• 3:11
  the
• 3:11
  fly.
• 3:12
  Yeah.
• 3:12
  And
• 3:12
  so,
• 3:13
  you
• 3:13
  know,
• 3:13
  there
• 3:13
  are
• 3:13
  a
• 3:13
  lot
• 3:13
  of
• 3:13
  guys
• 3:13
  that
• 3:14
  have
• 3:14
  kind
• 3:14
  of
• 3:14
  come
• 3:14
  to
• 3:14
  the
• 3:15
  predator
• 3:15
  fly
• 3:15
  game
• 3:15
  from
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16

• 3:16
  side.
• 3:16
  Do
• 3:17
  you
• 3:17
  still
• 3:17
  fish
• 3:17
  conventional
• 3:18
  or
• 3:18
  are
• 3:18
  you
• 3:19
  trying
• 3:19
  to
• 3:19
  solve
• 3:19
  kind
• 3:20
  of
• 3:20
  crazy
• 3:20
  puzzles
• 3:20
  like
• 3:21
  the
• 3:21
  spiral
• 3:21
  spook
• 3:21
  and
• 3:22
  fly
• 3:22
  fishing?
• 3:23
  I
• 3:23
  have
• 3:23
  sold
• 3:24
  all
• 3:24
  my
• 3:24
  conventional
• 3:25
  gear.
• 3:25
  I'll
• 3:25
  go,
• 3:26
  I'll
• 3:26
  go
• 3:26
  flail
• 3:26
  around
• 3:27
  with
• 3:27
  a
• 3:27
  rod
• 3:27
  and
• 3:28
  just
• 3:28
  enjoy
• 3:28
  the
• 3:28
  casting
• 3:29
  before
• 3:30
  I'll

• 3:31
  fish
• 3:31
  with
• 3:32
  a

• 3:32
  At

  the
• 3:33
  moment,
• 3:33
  it's
• 3:33
  just
• 3:34
  kind
• 3:34
  of
• 3:35
  what
• 3:35
  I
• 3:35
  like
• 3:35
  to
• 3:35
  do.
• 3:35
  I'd
• 3:36
  rather
• 3:36
  cast
• 3:37
  fly
• 3:37
  rod.
• 3:38
  And
• 3:38
  even
• 3:39
  if
• 3:39
  that
• 3:39
  means
• 3:39
  I'm
• 3:39
  not
• 3:40
  going
• 3:40
  to
• 3:40
  catch
• 3:40
  fish,
• 3:40
  it's
• 3:41
  still
• 3:41
  where
• 3:42
  I'd
• 3:42
  rather
• 3:42
  be.
• 3:43
  So,
• 3:43
  no,
• 3:44
  I
• 3:44
  don't,
• 3:44
  I
• 3:44
  don't
• 3:44
  use
• 3:44
  any
• 3:45
  conventional
• 3:45
  anymore.
• 3:46
  But,
• 3:47
  you
• 3:47
  know,
• 3:47
  if
• 3:48
  it
• 3:48
  was
• 3:48
  shark
• 3:48
  fishing
• 3:49
  or,
• 3:49
  or
• 3:49
  something
• 3:50
  where
• 3:51
  you're
• 3:51
  having
• 3:51
  to
• 3:51
  soak
• 3:52
  some
• 3:52
  bait,
• 3:52
  I
• 3:52
  would
• 3:53
  maybe
• 3:53
  stoop
• 3:53
  down
• 3:54
  to
• 3:54
  it,
• 3:54
  I
• 3:54
  guess.
• 3:54
  But
• 3:55
  I
• 3:56
  try
• 3:56
  to
• 3:56
  stick
• 3:56
  to
• 3:56
  fly.
• 3:57
  There
• 3:57
  you
• 3:57
  go.
• 3:58
  So
• 3:58
  you
• 3:58
  might
• 3:58
  still
• 3:58
  have
• 3:58
  a
• 3:58
  few
• 3:59
  pyramid
• 3:59
  sinkers
• 3:59
  somewhere.
• 4:01
  Probably
• 4:01
  somewhere.
• 4:03
  Fair
• 4:03
  enough.
• 4:04
  So
• 4:04
  who
• 4:04
  are
• 4:05
  some
• 4:05
  of
• 4:05
  the
• 4:05
  anglers
• 4:05
  and
• 4:05
  tires
• 4:06
  that
• 4:06
  helped
• 4:06
  inspire
• 4:07
  the
• 4:07
  design?
• 4:09
  So
• 4:10
  for
• 4:10
  the,
• 4:10
  for
• 4:10
  the
• 4:10
  spook,
• 4:11
  it
• 4:11
  was.
• 4:13
  I
• 4:13
  saw
• 4:14
  Jeff
• 4:14
  Creamer's
• 4:15
  deer
• 4:15
  hair
• 4:17
  fly.
• 4:19
  The.
• 4:19
  His
• 4:19
  deer
• 4:20
  hair
• 4:20
  spook,
• 4:20
  because
• 4:20
  he's
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  first
• 4:21
  one
• 4:21
  that
• 4:22
  did
• 4:22
  that.
• 4:23
  I
• 4:24
  think
• 4:24
  I
• 4:24
  had
• 4:24
  already
• 4:24
  started
• 4:25
  messing
• 4:25
  around
• 4:25
  with
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  spiral
• 4:26
  spook
• 4:27
  and
• 4:27
  was
• 4:28
  just
• 4:28
  trying
• 4:28
  to
• 4:28
  find
• 4:28
  some
• 4:29
  inspiration
• 4:30
  and
• 4:30
  saw
• 4:31
  that
• 4:31
  he
• 4:31
  had
• 4:32
  originated
• 4:33
  it,
• 4:34
  which
• 4:34
  was
• 4:34
  really
• 4:34
  cool.
• 4:35
  And
• 4:37
  so,
• 4:38
  but
• 4:38
  I,
• 4:38
  I
• 4:39
  wanted
• 4:39
  to
• 4:39
  go
• 4:39
  a
• 4:40
  different
• 4:40
  direction.
• 4:41
  So
• 4:41
  aside
• 4:41
  from
• 4:42
  using
• 4:42
  the,
• 4:43
  the
• 4:43
  same
• 4:44
  shank
• 4:44
  with
• 4:44
  a
• 4:44
  hook
• 4:45
  on
• 4:45
  the
• 4:45
  end
• 4:45
  idea,
• 4:46
  it's,
• 4:47
  it's
• 4:47
  tied
• 4:47
  completely
• 4:48
  differently.
• 4:48
  And,
• 4:49
  and
• 4:49
  there's
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  few
• 4:49
  other
• 4:49
  people
• 4:50
  that
• 4:50
  have
• 4:50
  done
• 4:52
  where
• 4:52
  they
• 4:52
  take
• 4:53
  like
• 4:53
  a,
• 4:53
  a
• 4:53
  popper
• 4:54
  body
• 4:54
  and
• 4:55
  put
• 4:55
  them
• 4:56
  front
• 4:56
  to
• 4:56
  back.
• 4:56
  Two
• 4:56
  of
• 4:57
  them
• 4:57
  on
• 4:57
  a
• 4:57
  shank
• 4:58
  and
• 4:58
  just
• 4:59
  glue
• 4:59
  them
• 4:59
  onto
• 5:00
  the
• 5:00
  wire
• 5:01
  and
• 5:01
  weight
• 5:01
  them.
• 5:02
  But
• 5:02
  the.
• 5:03
  The
• 5:03
  biggest
• 5:03
  thing
• 5:04
  that
• 5:04
  I
• 5:04
  wanted
• 5:04
  with
• 5:05
  the
• 5:05
  spiral
• 5:06
  spook
• 5:06
  was
• 5:06
  to
• 5:06
  make
• 5:06
  it
• 5:07
  something
• 5:07
  where
• 5:07
  it's
• 5:08
  tied,
• 5:08
  and
• 5:08
  you
• 5:08
  can
• 5:09
  make
• 5:09
  the
• 5:09
  whole
• 5:09
  thing
• 5:09
  with
• 5:10
  no
• 5:10
  adhesives.
• 5:12
  And
• 5:12
  I
• 5:12
  also
• 5:12
  didn't
• 5:13
  want
• 5:13
  to
• 5:14
  be
• 5:14
  gluing
• 5:14
  weights
• 5:15
  into
• 5:15
  holes
• 5:16
  or
• 5:17
  things
• 5:18
  like
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  you
• 5:18
  can
• 5:19
  see
• 5:19
  from
• 5:19
  the
• 5:19
  outside.
• 5:19
  I
• 5:20
  wanted
• 5:20
  it
• 5:20
  to
• 5:20
  be
• 5:21
  a
• 5:21
  clean
• 5:21
  body
• 5:23
  and
• 5:24
  still
• 5:24
  be
• 5:24
  tied,
• 5:26
  which.
• 5:27
  Which
• 5:27
  made
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  a
• 5:28
  really
• 5:28
  fun
• 5:28
  problem
• 5:29
  to
• 5:29
  solve.
• 5:30
  Very
• 5:31
  neat.
• 5:31
  And
• 5:31
  so
• 5:31
  for
• 5:31
  the
• 5:31
  fly
• 5:32
  fishing
• 5:32
  folks
• 5:32
  that
• 5:33
  aren't
• 5:33
  familiar
• 5:33
  with
• 5:33
  the
• 5:34
  spook
• 5:34
  on
• 5:34
  the
• 5:34
  gear
• 5:34
  side,
• 5:35
  you
• 5:35
  want
• 5:35
  to
• 5:35
  talk
• 5:35
  to
• 5:35
  folks
• 5:36
  about
• 5:36
  the
• 5:36
  bite
• 5:37
  trigger
• 5:37
  that
• 5:37
  you
• 5:37
  built
• 5:37
  into
• 5:38
  the
• 5:38
  fly.
• 5:39
  Yeah,
• 5:40
  it's
• 5:40
  a
• 5:41
  spook's
• 5:42
  a
• 5:42
  really
• 5:42
  cool,
• 5:42
  really
• 5:43
  cool
• 5:43
  lure.
• 5:43
  There's
• 5:44
  all
• 5:44
  sorts
• 5:44
  of
• 5:44
  different
• 5:45
  variations.
• 5:45
  Now.
• 5:46
  They've
• 5:46
  got,
• 5:46
  you
• 5:46
  know,
• 5:47
  the
• 5:47
  walking
• 5:47
  Sammy,
• 5:48
  all
• 5:48
  these.
• 5:49
  All
• 5:49
  these
• 5:50
  styles
• 5:51
  and
• 5:51
  bodies
• 5:51
  and
• 5:51
  different
• 5:52
  amounts
• 5:52
  of
• 5:52
  glide,
• 5:53
  different
• 5:53
  amounts
• 5:53
  of
• 5:53
  chop,
• 5:54
  different
• 5:54
  amounts
• 5:54
  of
• 5:55
  turn.
• 5:56
  You
• 5:56
  can
• 5:57
  really
• 5:57
  dial
• 5:57
  them
• 5:57
  in.
• 5:58
  The
• 5:58
  problem
• 5:59
  is
• 5:59
  they.
• 6:00
  They
• 6:00
  use
• 6:00
  a
• 6:00
  lot
• 6:00
  of
• 6:01
  momentum
• 6:01
  to
• 6:01
  keep
• 6:01
  their
• 6:02
  glide
• 6:02
  going
• 6:02
  forward.
• 6:03
  And
• 6:03
  so
• 6:04
  when
• 6:04
  you're
• 6:04
  throwing
• 6:05
  a
• 6:05
  conventional
• 6:05
  spook,
• 6:07
  you.
• 6:08
  You
• 6:08
  can
• 6:08
  use
• 6:08
  a
• 6:08
  lot
• 6:08
  of
• 6:08
  weight
• 6:09
  because
• 6:09
  you're
• 6:09
  casting
• 6:10
  it
• 6:10
  on
• 6:10
  a
• 6:10
  regular
• 6:10
  rod,
• 6:11
  and
• 6:11
  you
• 6:11
  can
• 6:11
  dial
• 6:12
  in
• 6:12
  how
• 6:12
  much
• 6:12
  momentum
• 6:13
  it
• 6:13
  has
• 6:13
  to
• 6:13
  glide
• 6:14
  forward
• 6:14
  and
• 6:14
  all
• 6:15
  these
• 6:15
  different
• 6:15
  things.
• 6:16
  And
• 6:17
  on
• 6:17
  a
• 6:17
  fly
• 6:17
  rod,
• 6:17
  that's.
• 6:18
  That's
• 6:18
  difficult
• 6:18
  to
• 6:18
  do.
• 6:19
  But
• 6:19
  basically,
• 6:19
  with
• 6:19
  a
• 6:20
  conventional
• 6:21
  rod,
• 6:21
  you're
• 6:21
  gonna.
• 6:23
  You're
• 6:23
  gonna
• 6:23
  use
• 6:24
  your.
• 6:24
  Your
• 6:24
  rod
• 6:25
  tip
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  impart
• 6:26
  that
• 6:27
  slack
• 6:28
  and
• 6:28
  pull
• 6:29
  on
• 6:29
  the
• 6:29
  line,
• 6:30
  which
• 6:31
  is
• 6:31
  letting
• 6:31
  the
• 6:32
  lure
• 6:32
  dart
• 6:33
  side
• 6:33
  to
• 6:34
  side
• 6:34
  and
• 6:34
  glide.
• 6:35
  And
• 6:37
  it.
• 6:37
  It
• 6:37
  just
• 6:38
  cuts
• 6:38
  back
• 6:38
  and
• 6:39
  forth
• 6:39
  and
• 6:39
  walks
• 6:39
  the
• 6:39
  dog.
• 6:41
  And
• 6:41
  it's
• 6:41
  just.
• 6:41
  It's
• 6:42
  just
• 6:42
  a
• 6:42
  blast
• 6:42
  to
• 6:42
  catch
• 6:43
  fish
• 6:43
  on.
• 6:43
  And
• 6:43
  even
• 6:43
  if
• 6:43
  you're
• 6:43
  not
• 6:44
  catching
• 6:44
  fish,
• 6:44
  it's.
• 6:44
  It's
• 6:45
  a
• 6:45
  really
• 6:45
  fun,
• 6:45
  enticing
• 6:46
  action
• 6:46
  to
• 6:47
  watch,
• 6:48
  which
• 6:48
  is
• 6:48
  why
• 6:49
  it
• 6:49
  was
• 6:49
  always
• 6:49
  my
• 6:49
  favorite.
• 6:50
  Yeah,
• 6:50
  definitely
• 6:51
  better
• 6:51
  than
• 6:51
  watching
• 6:51
  a
• 6:52
  bobber,
• 6:52
  right?
• 6:53
  Yeah,
• 6:53
  absolutely.
• 6:54
  Almost
• 6:54
  anything
• 6:55
  is.
• 6:55
  Yeah.
• 6:56
  So,
• 6:56
  you
• 6:56
  know,
• 6:57
  why
• 6:57
  don't
• 6:57
  you
• 6:57
  walk
• 6:57
  us
• 6:58
  through
• 6:58
  the
• 6:58
  original
• 6:58
  spiral
• 6:59
  spook?
• 6:59
  Let's
• 6:59
  just
• 7:00
  kind
• 7:00
  of
• 7:00
  start
• 7:00
  at
• 7:00
  the
• 7:01
  back
• 7:01
  with
• 7:01
  the
• 7:01
  hook
• 7:01
  and
• 7:01
  work
• 7:02
  our
• 7:02
  way
• 7:02
  forward.
• 7:03
  Yeah.
• 7:04
  So
• 7:04
  the.
• 7:04
  The
• 7:04
  very
• 7:05
  first
• 7:05
  one,
• 7:05
  I
• 7:07
  had
• 7:08
  an
• 7:08
  idea
• 7:10
  for
• 7:10
  how
• 7:11
  I
• 7:11
  was
• 7:11
  going
• 7:11
  to
• 7:11
  make
• 7:12
  that
• 7:13
  tapered
• 7:14
  body,
• 7:15
  but
• 7:15
  still,
• 7:15
  it'd
• 7:16
  be
• 7:16
  a
• 7:16
  clean.
• 7:16
  A
• 7:17
  clean
• 7:17
  body.
• 7:17
  So
• 7:17
  I.
• 7:18
  I
• 7:18
  took
• 7:18
  a
• 7:18
  wire
• 7:19
  shank,
• 7:19
  strung
• 7:20
  a
• 7:20
  hook
• 7:20
  on
• 7:20
  the
• 7:20
  back,
• 7:21
  and
• 7:21
  then
• 7:21
  slipped
• 7:22
  beads
• 7:22
  onto
• 7:23
  the
• 7:23
  shank
• 7:24
  as
• 7:24
  I
• 7:24
  was
• 7:25
  building
• 7:25
  the
• 7:26
  shank
• 7:26
  itself
• 7:26
  before
• 7:27
  I
• 7:27
  closed
• 7:27
  it
• 7:28
  off,
• 7:28
  because
• 7:28
  I.
• 7:29
  I
• 7:29
  make
• 7:29
  all
• 7:30
  my
• 7:30
  wire
• 7:30
  shanks.
• 7:31
  And
• 7:31
  so
• 7:31
  before
• 7:31
  I
• 7:32
  put
• 7:32
  the
• 7:32
  second
• 7:32
  eye
• 7:32
  on
• 7:33
  the
• 7:33
  front
• 7:33
  of
• 7:33
  the
• 7:34
  the
• 7:35
  wire.
• 7:35
  I
• 7:36
  slipped
• 7:36
  a
• 7:36
  bunch
• 7:37
  of
• 7:37
  beads
• 7:37
  onto
• 7:37
  the
• 7:38
  back
• 7:39
  and
• 7:39
  then
• 7:39
  finished
• 7:40
  off
• 7:40
  that
• 7:40
  shank.
• 7:41
  And
• 7:41
  then
• 7:41
  I
• 7:42
  just
• 7:42
  wrapped
• 7:44
  a
• 7:44
  couple
• 7:44
  pieces
• 7:45
  of
• 7:45
  foam
• 7:45
  onto
• 7:46
  that
• 7:48
  wire
• 7:48
  body
• 7:49
  and
• 7:49
  then
• 7:49
  finished
• 7:50
  with
• 7:50
  a
• 7:50
  really
• 7:50
  long
• 7:51
  piece
• 7:51
  and
• 7:51
  spiral
• 7:52
  wrapped
• 7:52
  it
• 7:52
  over
• 7:52
  it,
• 7:54
  coated
• 7:54
  it
• 7:54
  in,
• 7:55
  like,
• 7:55
  bathtub
• 7:56
  silicone,
• 7:58
  and
• 7:58
  then
• 7:58
  took
• 7:58
  it
• 7:59
  down
• 7:59
  to
• 7:59
  the
• 7:59
  water
• 8:00
  and
• 8:01
  immediately
• 8:02
  saw
• 8:02
  that
• 8:02
  it
• 8:02
  wanted
• 8:03
  to
• 8:03
  go
• 8:03
  side
• 8:03
  to
• 8:03
  side,
• 8:04
  but
• 8:04
  it
• 8:05
  was,
• 8:05
  it
• 8:05
  was
• 8:05
  rolling.
• 8:07
  But
• 8:07
  I
• 8:07
  knew
• 8:08
  right
• 8:08
  then
• 8:08
  I
• 8:08
  was
• 8:08
  like,
• 8:08
  okay,
• 8:09
  this
• 8:09
  is
• 8:09
  a
• 8:09
  platform
• 8:09
  that
• 8:10
  I
• 8:10
  can
• 8:10
  dial
• 8:11
  in,
• 8:11
  and,
• 8:11
  and
• 8:11
  it's
• 8:12
  going
• 8:12
  to
• 8:12
  work.
• 8:13
  So
• 8:13
  that's
• 8:14
  kind
• 8:14
  of
• 8:14
  how
• 8:14
  it
• 8:14
  first
• 8:14
  started.
• 8:15
  And
• 8:15
  I
• 8:15
  immediately
• 8:16
  took
• 8:16
  a
• 8:16
  bunch
• 8:16
  of
• 8:16
  videos
• 8:17
  and
• 8:17
  sent
• 8:17
  it
• 8:17
  to
• 8:18
  a
• 8:18
  couple
• 8:18
  of
• 8:18
  my
• 8:18
  buddies
• 8:18
  and
• 8:18
  was
• 8:19
  like,
• 8:19
  guys,
• 8:19
  I'm.
• 8:20
  I'm
• 8:20
  going
• 8:20
  to
• 8:20
  make
• 8:20
  this
• 8:20
  super
• 8:21
  cool
• 8:21
  spook.
• 8:22
  It's
• 8:22
  going
• 8:22
  to
• 8:23
  work.
• 8:23
  So
• 8:23
  that's
• 8:24
  where
• 8:24
  it
• 8:24
  started.
• 8:25
  Gotcha.
• 8:25
  And
• 8:25
  to
• 8:26
  just
• 8:26
  kind
• 8:26
  of
• 8:26
  talk
• 8:26
  about
• 8:27
  the
• 8:27
  kind
• 8:27
  of.
• 8:27
  The
• 8:27
  shank
• 8:28
  you
• 8:28
  talked
• 8:28
  about,
• 8:28
  you
• 8:29
  know,
• 8:29
  gluing
• 8:29
  some
• 8:29
  pieces
• 8:29
  of
• 8:30
  foam.
• 8:30
  So
• 8:30
  is
• 8:30
  there
• 8:30
  play
• 8:31
  with
• 8:31
  the
• 8:31
  beads
• 8:32
  before
• 8:32
  you
• 8:32
  kind
• 8:32
  of
• 8:32
  overwrap
• 8:33
  it?
• 8:34
  You
• 8:34
  want
• 8:34
  to
• 8:34
  kind
• 8:34
  of
• 8:34
  talk
• 8:34
  about
• 8:35
  that
• 8:35
  in
• 8:35
  a
• 8:35
  little
• 8:35
  bit
• 8:35
  more
• 8:35
  detail
• 8:35
  for
• 8:36
  folks?
• 8:37
  Yeah,
• 8:37
  so
• 8:37
  I
• 8:38
  originally,
• 8:39
  the,
• 8:39
  the
• 8:39
  beads
• 8:40
  were
• 8:40
  just
• 8:40
  slid
• 8:40
  onto
• 8:41
  the
• 8:41
  wire
• 8:41
  itself,
• 8:42
  but
• 8:42
  the
• 8:42
  problem
• 8:43
  is
• 8:43
  then
• 8:43
  the
• 8:43
  weight
• 8:44
  is
• 8:44
  in
• 8:44
  the
• 8:44
  center
• 8:45
  of
• 8:45
  the
• 8:45
  fly,
• 8:45
  and
• 8:46
  it
• 8:46
  can
• 8:46
  just.
• 8:47
  It
• 8:47
  doesn't
• 8:47
  want
• 8:47
  to
• 8:47
  orient.
• 8:48
  Orient
• 8:48
  itself
• 8:49
  in
• 8:49
  any
• 8:49
  particular
• 8:50
  way.
• 8:51
  So
• 8:52
  what
• 8:52
  I
• 8:52
  ended
• 8:52
  up
• 8:53
  doing
• 8:53
  was
• 8:54
  using
• 8:55
  inner
• 8:56
  body
• 8:56
  pieces
• 8:57
  of
• 8:57
  foam.
• 8:58
  So
• 8:59
  it's
• 8:59
  mostly
• 8:59
  tied
• 9:00
  with
• 9:00
  foam.
• 9:00
  And,
• 9:00
  and
• 9:01
  I,
• 9:02
  you.
• 9:02
  You
• 9:03
  tie
• 9:03
  on
• 9:03
  a
• 9:03
  long.
• 9:04
  A
• 9:04
  long
• 9:04
  strip
• 9:05
  of
• 9:05
  foam
• 9:06
  off
• 9:06
  the
• 9:06
  back
• 9:06
  of
• 9:06
  this
• 9:06
  shank,
• 9:07
  and
• 9:08
  then
• 9:08
  you
• 9:10
  put
• 9:11
  a
• 9:11
  couple
• 9:11
  pieces
• 9:11
  of
• 9:11
  foam
• 9:12
  onto
• 9:12
  the
• 9:12
  shank
• 9:12
  itself
• 9:13
  and
• 9:13
  wrap
• 9:13
  over
• 9:13
  it
• 9:13
  with
• 9:14
  thread
• 9:14
  and,
• 9:14
  and
• 9:15
  kind
• 9:15
  of
• 9:15
  build
• 9:15
  up
• 9:15
  a
• 9:16
  body
• 9:16
  that
• 9:16
  way.
• 9:16
  So
• 9:17
  you're
• 9:18
  still,
• 9:18
  you're
• 9:18
  tying
• 9:19
  it
• 9:19
  all
• 9:19
  onto
• 9:19
  the
• 9:20
  shank
• 9:20
  and
• 9:20
  building
• 9:20
  up
• 9:20
  a
• 9:21
  tapered
• 9:21
  body,
• 9:22
  and
• 9:22
  it's
• 9:22
  all
• 9:23
  ugly
• 9:23
  and
• 9:23
  covered
• 9:24
  in
• 9:24
  thread.
• 9:25
  And,
• 9:26
  and
• 9:26
  then
• 9:26
  you're
• 9:26
  going
• 9:26
  to
• 9:27
  finish
• 9:27
  off
• 9:27
  with
• 9:27
  that
• 9:27
  spiral
• 9:29
  wrap
• 9:29
  a
• 9:29
  foam
• 9:30
  that
• 9:30
  gives
• 9:30
  it
• 9:30
  a
• 9:30
  clean.
• 9:31
  A
• 9:31
  clean
• 9:32
  look
• 9:32
  and
• 9:32
  makes
• 9:32
  it
• 9:32
  look
• 9:32
  like
• 9:33
  a
• 9:33
  finished
• 9:33
  fly.
• 9:34
  But
• 9:35
  yeah,
• 9:36
  when
• 9:36
  it's,
• 9:36
  when
• 9:36
  it's
• 9:36
  right
• 9:37
  in
• 9:37
  the
• 9:37
  middle,
• 9:37
  it
• 9:37
  doesn't
• 9:37
  want
• 9:37
  to
• 9:38
  orient
• 9:38
  itself
• 9:39
  properly.
• 9:40
  And
• 9:40
  so
• 9:41
  what
• 9:41
  I
• 9:41
  ended
• 9:41
  up
• 9:41
  doing
• 9:42
  is
• 9:42
  embedding
• 9:44
  the
• 9:44
  weight
• 9:44
  into
• 9:45
  the
• 9:45
  bottom
• 9:46
  piece
• 9:46
  of
• 9:46
  foam
• 9:47
  as
• 9:47
  I'm
• 9:48
  tying
• 9:48
  the
• 9:48
  fly.
• 9:49
  So
• 9:50
  the,
• 9:51
  the
• 9:51
  foam
• 9:51
  or
• 9:52
  the,
• 9:52
  the
• 9:52
  weights
• 9:52
  hang
• 9:53
  at
• 9:53
  the
• 9:53
  lowest
• 9:54
  portion
• 9:54
  of
• 9:55
  the
• 9:55
  foam
• 9:55
  body
• 9:55
  under
• 9:56
  the
• 9:56
  wraps
• 9:57
  and
• 9:58
  gives
• 9:58
  it
• 9:58
  that
• 9:58
  leverage
• 9:59
  to
• 9:59
  turn
• 10:00
  it
• 10:00
  on
• 10:00
  its
• 10:00
  belly
• 10:01
  whenever
• 10:01
  it
• 10:01
  lands.
• 10:03
  And
• 10:03
  that's
• 10:03
  kind
• 10:03
  of
• 10:04
  how
• 10:04
  I
• 10:04
  advanced
• 10:05
  from
• 10:06
  the
• 10:06
  beads
• 10:06
  just
• 10:07
  strung
• 10:07
  on
• 10:07
  the
• 10:07
  wire
• 10:07
  to
• 10:08
  being
• 10:08
  slung
• 10:09
  under
• 10:09
  the
• 10:09
  belly.
• 10:10
  And
• 10:10
  righting
• 10:11
  itself.
• 10:12
  Got
• 10:12
  it.
• 10:12
  It's
• 10:13
  almost
• 10:13
  like
• 10:13
  some
• 10:13
  of
• 10:13
  the
• 10:13
  guys,
• 10:14
  it
• 10:14
  sounds
• 10:14
  like
• 10:14
  they
• 10:14
  use
• 10:14
  the
• 10:15
  teardrop
• 10:15
  beads,
• 10:16
  right.
• 10:16
  To
• 10:16
  get
• 10:16
  the
• 10:16
  weight
• 10:17
  away
• 10:17
  from
• 10:17
  kind
• 10:17
  of
• 10:17
  the
• 10:18
  axis
• 10:19
  to
• 10:19
  still
• 10:19
  get
• 10:19
  that
• 10:20
  kind
• 10:20
  of
• 10:20
  wobble.
• 10:21
  That's
• 10:21
  the
• 10:21
  idea.
• 10:23
  Yeah.
• 10:23
  Now
• 10:24
  I've
• 10:24
  got
• 10:24
  it.
• 10:24
  And
• 10:24
  then
• 10:24
  of
• 10:24
  course,
• 10:24
  you've
• 10:25
  got
• 10:25
  this
• 10:25
  long
• 10:25
  strip
• 10:25
  of,
• 10:27
  you
• 10:27
  know,
• 10:27
  plastic
• 10:28
  foam
• 10:28
  slash
• 10:29
  vinyl
• 10:29
  material
• 10:29
  that
• 10:29
  looks
• 10:30
  like
• 10:30
  really
• 10:30
  like
• 10:30
  a
• 10:30
  long
• 10:30
  strip
• 10:31
  of
• 10:31
  like
• 10:31
  Wrigley's
• 10:31
  chewing
• 10:32
  gum,
• 10:32
  right?
• 10:33
  Yeah,
• 10:34
  yeah,
• 10:34
  it's,
• 10:34
  it's.
• 10:35
  I
• 10:35
  use,
• 10:35
  I
• 10:36
  use
• 10:36
  up
• 10:36
  to
• 10:36
  like
• 10:37
  18
• 10:37
  inches
• 10:38
  or
• 10:38
  more
• 10:38
  hanging
• 10:39
  off
• 10:39
  the
• 10:39
  back
• 10:40
  on
• 10:40
  the
• 10:40
  really
• 10:40
  big
• 10:40
  ones.
• 10:41
  Very
• 10:42
  neat.
• 10:42
  And
• 10:42
  so,
• 10:42
  you
• 10:42
  know,
• 10:43
  as
• 10:43
  you
• 10:43
  were
• 10:43
  kind
• 10:43
  of
• 10:43
  evolving
• 10:44
  the
• 10:44
  design,
• 10:44
  you
• 10:44
  show
• 10:45
  it
• 10:45
  to
• 10:45
  your
• 10:45
  friends
• 10:46
  and
• 10:46
  I
• 10:46
  know
• 10:47
  you're,
• 10:47
  we
• 10:47
  were
• 10:47
  talking
• 10:47
  before
• 10:48
  we
• 10:48
  started
• 10:48
  recording
• 10:48
  your,
• 10:49
  you
• 10:49
  know,
• 10:49
  even
• 10:49
  though
• 10:49
  there's
• 10:50
  like
• 10:50
  spiral
• 10:50
  spook
• 10:51
  2.0
• 10:51
  there
• 10:51
  also
• 10:51
  there's
• 10:52
  like
• 10:52
  constant
• 10:52
  evolution.
• 10:53
  So
• 10:53
  there's
• 10:53
  like
• 10:53
  1.1,
• 10:54
  1.2.
• 10:56
  But
• 10:56
  any
• 10:57
  materials
• 10:57
  that
• 10:57
  didn't
• 10:58
  make
• 10:58
  the
• 10:58
  cut
• 10:58
  kind
• 10:59
  of
• 10:59
  in
• 10:59
  that
• 10:59
  original,
• 11:00
  you
• 11:00
  know,
• 11:00
  spiral
• 11:00
  spook
• 11:01
  1.0.
• 11:02
  Yeah,
• 11:03
  the,
• 11:03
  the
• 11:04
  stainless
• 11:04
  steel
• 11:04
  beads
• 11:05
  didn't
• 11:05
  make
• 11:05
  the
• 11:05
  cut.
• 11:06
  They
• 11:06
  were
• 11:07
  being
• 11:07
  on
• 11:08
  the
• 11:08
  wire,
• 11:08
  as
• 11:08
  we've
• 11:09
  already
• 11:10
  talked
• 11:10
  about.
• 11:10
  And
• 11:10
  then
• 11:11
  the
• 11:11
  silicone
• 11:12
  coating
• 11:13
  was
• 11:13
  terrible.
• 11:14
  It
• 11:14
  was
• 11:14
  way
• 11:14
  too
• 11:15
  lumpy,
• 11:15
  way
• 11:15
  too
• 11:16
  thick,
• 11:17
  way
• 11:17
  too
• 11:17
  heavy.
• 11:20
  I've,
• 11:20
  I've
• 11:20
  really
• 11:21
  tried
• 11:21
  to
• 11:21
  finesse
• 11:22
  how
• 11:23
  light
• 11:23
  can
• 11:23
  you
• 11:24
  make
• 11:24
  it
• 11:24
  until
• 11:25
  it
• 11:25
  stops
• 11:26
  walking?
• 11:27
  And
• 11:28
  that's,
• 11:29
  that's
• 11:29
  one
• 11:29
  of
• 11:29
  the
• 11:29
  hardest
• 11:30
  parts
• 11:30
  about
• 11:30
  the
• 11:30
  fly,
• 11:30
  is
• 11:31
  that
• 11:31
  it
• 11:31
  needs
• 11:31
  a
• 11:31
  certain
• 11:32
  amount
• 11:32
  of
• 11:32
  weight
• 11:32
  to
• 11:32
  make,
• 11:33
  to
• 11:33
  make
• 11:33
  it
• 11:33
  walk
• 11:34
  and
• 11:34
  glide.
• 11:35
  And
• 11:37
  it,
• 11:37
  it
• 11:37
  really
• 11:38
  limits
• 11:38
  the
• 11:38
  size
• 11:39
  you
• 11:39
  can
• 11:39
  make
• 11:39
  and
• 11:39
  what
• 11:39
  you
• 11:40
  can
• 11:40
  cast
• 11:40
  it
• 11:40
  with.
• 11:41
  But
• 11:41
  reducing,
• 11:42
  reducing
• 11:43
  the
• 11:43
  weight
• 11:43
  of
• 11:43
  certain
• 11:43
  materials
• 11:44
  has
• 11:44
  definitely
• 11:45
  helped.
• 11:45
  I've
• 11:45
  switched
• 11:45
  to
• 11:47
  lighter
• 11:47
  thread.
• 11:47
  I've
• 11:48
  switched
• 11:48
  away
• 11:48
  from
• 11:49
  gel
• 11:49
  spun
• 11:49
  thread
• 11:50
  because
• 11:50
  it
• 11:50
  cuts
• 11:50
  through
• 11:50
  the
• 11:51
  foam
• 11:52
  way
• 11:52
  too
• 11:52
  easily.
• 11:53
  And
• 11:54
  then
• 11:54
  I've
• 11:54
  tried,
• 11:56
  I've
• 11:56
  tried
• 11:58
  like
• 11:58
  neoprene
• 12:00
  wraps,
• 12:00
  I've
• 12:00
  tried
• 12:01
  latex.
• 12:02
  I've
• 12:02
  tried
• 12:02
  all
• 12:03
  sorts
• 12:03
  of
• 12:03
  stuff,
• 12:03
  but
• 12:04
  I
• 12:04
  always
• 12:05
  come
• 12:05
  back
• 12:05
  to
• 12:06
  it
• 12:06
  just
• 12:06
  being
• 12:07
  EVA
• 12:08
  foam
• 12:08
  all
• 12:08
  the
• 12:08
  way
• 12:09
  through.
• 12:09
  Just
• 12:09
  because
• 12:09
  it's
• 12:10
  the
• 12:10
  lightest
• 12:10
  and
• 12:12
  simpler
• 12:13
  and
• 12:13
  easy
• 12:13
  to
• 12:13
  repair.
• 12:14
  Just
• 12:15
  every,
• 12:15
  everything
• 12:15
  about
• 12:16
  it
• 12:16
  kind
• 12:16
  of
• 12:18
  ticks
• 12:18
  all
• 12:18
  the
• 12:18
  boxes
• 12:19
  that
• 12:19
  I
• 12:19
  need
• 12:19
  for
• 12:20
  the
• 12:20
  fly.
• 12:21
  Got
• 12:21
  it.
• 12:21
  And
• 12:21
  what
• 12:21
  about
• 12:22
  the
• 12:22
  outer
• 12:22
  coating?
• 12:22
  It
• 12:22
  looks
• 12:23
  almost
• 12:23
  like
• 12:23
  a
• 12:23
  type
• 12:23
  of
• 12:23
  like
• 12:24
  shellac
• 12:24
  or
• 12:24
  lacquer.
• 12:26
  Yeah,
• 12:26
  it's
• 12:27
  the
• 12:27
  other,
• 12:28
  the
• 12:28
  hard
• 12:28
  part
• 12:28
  with
• 12:29
  the
• 12:29
  coating
• 12:29
  is
• 12:29
  it's
• 12:30
  got
• 12:30
  to
• 12:30
  be
• 12:30
  flexible,
• 12:30
  but
• 12:31
  it
• 12:31
  also
• 12:31
  has
• 12:31
  to
• 12:31
  be
• 12:32
  nice
• 12:32
  and
• 12:32
  slick
• 12:32
  and
• 12:33
  let
• 12:33
  the
• 12:33
  fly
• 12:33
  glide.
• 12:34
  It
• 12:34
  can't
• 12:34
  have
• 12:34
  any
• 12:34
  drag
• 12:35
  on
• 12:35
  the
• 12:35
  water.
• 12:36
  So
• 12:36
  I've,
• 12:37
  I'm,
• 12:37
  I,
• 12:37
  I'M
• 12:38
  looking
• 12:38
  at
• 12:38
  a
• 12:38
  box
• 12:38
  right
• 12:39
  now
• 12:39
  of
• 12:39
  probably
• 12:41
  25
• 12:42
  to
• 12:42
  30
• 12:43
  different
• 12:44
  glues
• 12:45
  that
• 12:45
  I've
• 12:45
  tried
• 12:46
  as
• 12:46
  coatings.
• 12:47
  And
• 12:49
  I've
• 12:50
  just,
• 12:50
  I've
• 12:50
  tried
• 12:50
  everything,
• 12:51
  but
• 12:52
  I
• 12:52
  always.
• 12:53
  What
• 12:54
  I've
• 12:54
  settled
• 12:54
  on
• 12:54
  is
• 12:55
  gorilla
• 12:55
  glue.
• 12:56
  Clear.
• 12:56
  It's
• 12:57
  a
• 12:57
  urethane
• 12:59
  single,
• 13:00
  single
• 13:00
  part
• 13:01
  coating.
• 13:01
  You
• 13:01
  don't
• 13:02
  have
• 13:02
  to
• 13:02
  mix
• 13:02
  up
• 13:02
  epoxies,
• 13:03
  you
• 13:03
  don't
• 13:03
  have
• 13:03
  to
• 13:03
  use
• 13:04
  uv
• 13:05
  and
• 13:05
  it
• 13:05
  dries
• 13:06
  to
• 13:06
  a
• 13:07
  nice
• 13:07
  hard
• 13:07
  but
• 13:08
  flexible
• 13:08
  finish.
• 13:09
  Gotcha.
• 13:10
  And
• 13:10
  I
• 13:10
  assume
• 13:10
  you're
• 13:10
  probably
• 13:10
  having
• 13:10
  to
• 13:11
  put
• 13:11
  that
• 13:11
  on
• 13:11
  a
• 13:11
  wheel,
• 13:11
  right?
• 13:12
  Yes.
• 13:13
  I
• 13:13
  have
• 13:13
  a
• 13:13
  turkey
• 13:15
  roaster
• 13:16
  that's
• 13:16
  strung
• 13:17
  up
• 13:17
  on
• 13:17
  some
• 13:17
  two
• 13:17
  by
• 13:18
  fours
• 13:19
  that
• 13:19
  I,
• 13:19
  that
• 13:20
  I
• 13:20
  use
• 13:20
  to
• 13:20
  rotate
• 13:21
  flies.
• 13:23
  It's
• 13:24
  pretty
• 13:24
  janky.
• 13:25
  Well,
• 13:25
  there
• 13:25
  you
• 13:25
  go.
• 13:26
  And
• 13:26
  so
• 13:26
  you
• 13:26
  know,
• 13:27
  how
• 13:27
  long
• 13:27
  did
• 13:27
  it
• 13:27
  take
• 13:28
  you
• 13:28
  to
• 13:28
  perfect
• 13:29
  the
• 13:29
  action
• 13:29
  in
• 13:29
  the
• 13:30
  fly?
• 13:32
  Honestly,
• 13:33
  I'm
• 13:33
  still,
• 13:34
  I'm
• 13:34
  still
• 13:34
  finding
• 13:35
  different
• 13:35
  ways
• 13:36
  to
• 13:36
  improve
• 13:37
  the
• 13:37
  fly.
• 13:39
  I.
• 13:40
  Most
• 13:40
  recently
• 13:41
  I'm,
• 13:41
  I'm
• 13:41
  trying
• 13:42
  to
• 13:42
  offset
• 13:43
  the
• 13:43
  eye
• 13:43
  of
• 13:44
  the
• 13:45
  shank
• 13:45
  to
• 13:46
  be
• 13:46
  lower
• 13:47
  under
• 13:47
  the
• 13:48
  front
• 13:48
  of
• 13:48
  the
• 13:48
  fly
• 13:48
  so
• 13:49
  that
• 13:49
  when
• 13:49
  you're
• 13:50
  pulling
• 13:50
  on
• 13:50
  it,
• 13:50
  it
• 13:51
  has
• 13:51
  a
• 13:51
  little
• 13:51
  more
• 13:51
  of
• 13:51
  a
• 13:52
  downward
• 13:52
  pool
• 13:53
  without
• 13:53
  actually
• 13:54
  sinking
• 13:54
  the
• 13:54
  fly.
• 13:55
  And
• 13:55
  it
• 13:55
  helps
• 13:55
  it
• 13:55
  go
• 13:55
  side
• 13:56
  to
• 13:56
  side.
• 13:57
  So
• 13:57
  I,
• 13:57
  I'm,
• 13:57
  I'm
• 13:57
  tinkering
• 13:58
  with
• 13:58
  it
• 13:59
  even
• 13:59
  as
• 13:59
  I'm
• 14:00
  tying
• 14:00
  huge
• 14:00
  batches.
• 14:01
  I'll
• 14:01
  tie
• 14:03
  a
• 14:03
  couple
• 14:04
  little
• 14:04
  changes
• 14:04
  I
• 14:05
  have
• 14:05
  in
• 14:05
  my
• 14:05
  head
• 14:05
  and
• 14:05
  go
• 14:05
  swim
• 14:06
  test
• 14:06
  them
• 14:06
  and
• 14:06
  see
• 14:07
  if
• 14:07
  it
• 14:07
  improves
• 14:08
  or
• 14:08
  not.
• 14:08
  And
• 14:09
  if
• 14:09
  it
• 14:09
  does,
• 14:10
  I'll
• 14:10
  tie
• 14:11
  multiples
• 14:11
  and
• 14:12
  test
• 14:12
  it
• 14:13
  out
• 14:13
  until
• 14:13
  it
• 14:13
  eventually
• 14:14
  makes
• 14:14
  its
• 14:14
  way
• 14:14
  into
• 14:15
  production.
• 14:16
  But
• 14:16
  it's.
• 14:17
  I've
• 14:17
  been
• 14:17
  through
• 14:18
  just
• 14:18
  dozens
• 14:19
  and
• 14:19
  dozens
• 14:20
  of
• 14:20
  iterations.
• 14:22
  You
• 14:22
  know,
• 14:23
  it'd
• 14:23
  be
• 14:23
  interesting
• 14:23
  if
• 14:23
  you
• 14:24
  could
• 14:24
  maybe
• 14:24
  break
• 14:24
  down
• 14:24
  for
• 14:25
  folks.
• 14:25
  I
• 14:25
  know
• 14:25
  you're
• 14:25
  kind
• 14:26
  of
• 14:26
  perpetually
• 14:26
  tweaking
• 14:27
  the
• 14:27
  action,
• 14:27
  but,
• 14:27
  you
• 14:27
  know,
• 14:28
  maybe
• 14:28
  what
• 14:28
  was
• 14:28
  like
• 14:29
  spiral
• 14:29
  spook
• 14:30
  1.0?
• 14:30
  What
• 14:30
  were
• 14:30
  you
• 14:31
  working
• 14:31
  on?
• 14:31
  And
• 14:31
  then
• 14:31
  once
• 14:32
  you
• 14:32
  had
• 14:32
  that
• 14:32
  figured
• 14:32
  out,
• 14:33
  you
• 14:33
  know,
• 14:33
  what
• 14:33
  was
• 14:33
  the
• 14:34
  next
• 14:34
  thing
• 14:34
  with
• 14:34
  the
• 14:34
  swim
• 14:34
  you
• 14:35
  wanted
• 14:35
  to
• 14:35
  fix
• 14:35
  and
• 14:35
  kind
• 14:35
  of
• 14:36
  move
• 14:36
  through
• 14:36
  that?
• 14:36
  I
• 14:36
  think
• 14:36
  that'd
• 14:36
  be
• 14:37
  really
• 14:37
  interesting
• 14:37
  for
• 14:37
  folks.
• 14:38
  Yeah,
• 14:39
  there's
• 14:39
  a.
• 14:39
  There's
• 14:40
  so
• 14:40
  many
• 14:40
  things
• 14:40
  to
• 14:41
  consider
• 14:41
  when
• 14:42
  you're
• 14:42
  trying
• 14:42
  to
• 14:44
  make
• 14:44
  the
• 14:44
  fly
• 14:45
  walk
• 14:45
  side
• 14:45
  to
• 14:45
  side.
• 14:46
  There's
• 14:46
  different
• 14:47
  types
• 14:47
  of
• 14:47
  walking,
• 14:48
  different
• 14:48
  types
• 14:48
  of
• 14:48
  gliding.
• 14:49
  There's
• 14:50
  all
• 14:50
  these
• 14:50
  different
• 14:50
  factors
• 14:51
  that
• 14:52
  kind
• 14:52
  of
• 14:52
  come
• 14:52
  into
• 14:52
  play
• 14:53
  to
• 14:53
  affect
• 14:53
  the
• 14:53
  action.
• 14:54
  And,
• 14:55
  you
• 14:56
  know,
• 14:56
  I'm,
• 14:56
  I'm
• 14:56
  having
• 14:57
  to
• 14:57
  think
• 14:57
  about
• 14:57
  it
• 14:57
  from
• 14:57
  a
• 14:58
  customer
• 14:59
  standpoint
• 15:00
  where
• 15:00
  I
• 15:00
  know
• 15:00
  people
• 15:01
  aren't
• 15:01
  going
• 15:01
  to
• 15:02
  use
• 15:02
  exactly
• 15:04
  what
• 15:04
  I
• 15:04
  have.
• 15:05
  So
• 15:05
  I
• 15:05
  try
• 15:05
  as
• 15:06
  much
• 15:06
  as
• 15:06
  I
• 15:06
  can
• 15:06
  to
• 15:07
  make
• 15:07
  things
• 15:07
  universal
• 15:09
  and
• 15:10
  try
• 15:11
  to
• 15:11
  solve
• 15:12
  problems
• 15:12
  in
• 15:12
  a
• 15:12
  way
• 15:13
  that
• 15:13
  don't
• 15:13
  require
• 15:13
  a
• 15:14
  super
• 15:14
  specific
• 15:15
  solution.
• 15:15
  But
• 15:15
  there's
• 15:16
  some
• 15:16
  things
• 15:16
  you
• 15:16
  just
• 15:16
  can't
• 15:16
  get
• 15:17
  around.
• 15:18
  Like
• 15:18
  for
• 15:19
  example,
• 15:19
  using
• 15:20
  fluorocarbon.
• 15:21
  If,
• 15:22
  if
• 15:22
  you
• 15:22
  use
• 15:22
  fluorocarbon
• 15:23
  on
• 15:24
  the
• 15:24
  front
• 15:24
  of
• 15:24
  one
• 15:24
  of
• 15:24
  the
• 15:24
  spooks,
• 15:25
  it
• 15:25
  just
• 15:26
  sinks
• 15:26
  too
• 15:26
  fast
• 15:27
  and
• 15:27
  pulls
• 15:27
  the
• 15:27
  front
• 15:27
  of
• 15:28
  the
• 15:28
  fly
• 15:28
  down.
• 15:28
  And
• 15:29
  then
• 15:29
  when
• 15:29
  you
• 15:29
  try
• 15:29
  to
• 15:29
  strip,
• 15:30
  it
• 15:30
  just
• 15:30
  goes
• 15:30
  under
• 15:31
  the
• 15:31
  water
• 15:31
  instead
• 15:31
  of
• 15:32
  cutting
• 15:32
  side
• 15:32
  to
• 15:32
  side.
• 15:34
  So
• 15:34
  you,
• 15:35
  there's
• 15:35
  just
• 15:36
  no
• 15:36
  way
• 15:36
  to
• 15:36
  get
• 15:36
  around
• 15:36
  that.
• 15:37
  And
• 15:38
  it
• 15:38
  something
• 15:39
  as
• 15:39
  simple
• 15:39
  as
• 15:39
  using
• 15:41
  a
• 15:41
  Maxima,
• 15:42
  which
• 15:43
  is
• 15:43
  a
• 15:43
  lot
• 15:43
  stiffer
• 15:44
  of
• 15:44
  a
• 15:44
  nylon,
• 15:44
  versus
• 15:45
  using
• 15:46
  I,
• 15:46
  I
• 15:46
  really
• 15:47
  like
• 15:47
  the
• 15:47
  Orvis
• 15:47
  super
• 15:48
  strong
• 15:48
  nylon
• 15:49
  material.
• 15:50
  Cause
• 15:50
  it's
• 15:50
  really
• 15:51
  soft.
• 15:51
  But
• 15:51
  if
• 15:51
  you
• 15:51
  use
• 15:52
  Maxima
• 15:52
  even
• 15:52
  in
• 15:52
  the
• 15:53
  same
• 15:53
  pound
• 15:54
  test,
• 15:54
  it's
• 15:55
  so
• 15:55
  much
• 15:55
  stiffer
• 15:56
  that
• 15:56
  when
• 15:56
  that
• 15:56
  fly
• 15:57
  tries
• 15:57
  to,
• 15:57
  to
• 15:58
  divert
• 15:58
  side
• 15:59
  to
• 15:59
  side,
• 16:00
  it
• 16:00
  gets
• 16:01
  pulled
• 16:01
  back
• 16:01
  online
• 16:02
  just
• 16:02
  from
• 16:02
  the
• 16:02
  strength
• 16:03
  of
• 16:03
  the
• 16:04
  maxima
• 16:04
  having
• 16:05
  memory.
• 16:05
  And
• 16:06
  it
• 16:06
  pulls
• 16:06
  it
• 16:06
  out
• 16:07
  of
• 16:07
  its
• 16:07
  glide
• 16:07
  and
• 16:08
  back
• 16:08
  forward.
• 16:09
  And
• 16:09
  you
• 16:09
  don't
• 16:10
  have
• 16:10
  to
• 16:10
  deal
• 16:10
  with
• 16:10
  that
• 16:10
  nearly
• 16:11
  as
• 16:11
  much
• 16:11
  when
• 16:11
  you're
• 16:12
  throwing
• 16:12
  a
• 16:12
  conventional
• 16:13
  spook.
• 16:13
  But
• 16:13
  with
• 16:14
  a
• 16:14
  fly
• 16:15
  where
• 16:15
  it's
• 16:15
  light
• 16:15
  and
• 16:16
  it's
• 16:16
  really
• 16:16
  hard
• 16:17
  to
• 16:17
  dial
• 16:17
  in
• 16:17
  the
• 16:17
  momentum
• 16:18
  and
• 16:18
  the
• 16:18
  glide
• 16:19
  and
• 16:19
  the
• 16:19
  waiting,
• 16:20
  it,
• 16:21
  it
• 16:21
  can
• 16:21
  really
• 16:22
  just
• 16:22
  completely
• 16:23
  dampen
• 16:23
  the
• 16:23
  action.
• 16:26
  Let's
• 16:26
  see,
• 16:27
  using
• 16:27
  using
• 16:28
  different
• 16:28
  types
• 16:28
  of
• 16:29
  knots,
• 16:31
  you
• 16:32
  have
• 16:32
  to
• 16:32
  use
• 16:32
  a
• 16:32
  loop,
• 16:33
  a
• 16:33
  loop
• 16:33
  knot.
• 16:33
  If
• 16:33
  you're
• 16:34
  using
• 16:34
  a
• 16:35
  clinch
• 16:35
  knot
• 16:35
  or
• 16:35
  anything
• 16:36
  that's
• 16:36
  directly
• 16:37
  attached
• 16:37
  to
• 16:37
  the
• 16:37
  nose
• 16:38
  of
• 16:38
  the
• 16:38
  fly,
• 16:38
  it's
• 16:39
  going
• 16:39
  to
• 16:39
  do
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  same
• 16:39
  thing
• 16:40
  where
• 16:40
  it
• 16:40
  just
• 16:41
  pulls
• 16:41
  it
• 16:41
  back
• 16:42
  into
• 16:42
  line.
• 16:42
  The
• 16:42
  fly
• 16:43
  can't
• 16:43
  fight
• 16:43
  the
• 16:43
  tippet
• 16:44
  enough
• 16:45
  to
• 16:45
  overcome
• 16:46
  that
• 16:46
  memory,
• 16:47
  even
• 16:47
  on
• 16:47
  the
• 16:47
  softest
• 16:48
  materials.
• 16:49
  Yeah.
• 16:49
  Interesting.
• 16:50
  I
• 16:50
  would
• 16:50
  imagine
• 16:51
  too
• 16:51
  probably
• 16:51
  with
• 16:52
  the
• 16:52
  design
• 16:52
  of
• 16:52
  the
• 16:53
  nose
• 16:53
  or
• 16:53
  the
• 16:54
  bend,
• 16:54
  it
• 16:54
  probably
• 16:54
  affects
• 16:55
  the
• 16:55
  dig
• 16:55
  as
• 16:55
  well,
• 16:56
  right?
• 16:56
  It
• 16:57
  does,
• 16:57
  yeah.
• 16:58
  Where
• 16:58
  you
• 16:58
  put
• 16:58
  the
• 16:59
  mass
• 16:59
  of
• 16:59
  the
• 16:59
  fly,
• 17:01
  you
• 17:01
  know,
• 17:01
  you
• 17:01
  can,
• 17:02
  you
• 17:02
  can
• 17:02
  have
• 17:02
  a
• 17:03
  fat
• 17:03
  cylinder
• 17:03
  all
• 17:04
  the
• 17:04
  way
• 17:04
  through.
• 17:04
  You
• 17:04
  can
• 17:04
  have
• 17:05
  a
• 17:05
  tapered
• 17:05
  tail
• 17:06
  up
• 17:06
  to
• 17:06
  some
• 17:07
  shoulders.
• 17:07
  And
• 17:07
  that's
• 17:08
  kind
• 17:08
  of
• 17:08
  what
• 17:08
  I
• 17:08
  figured
• 17:09
  out
• 17:09
  in
• 17:10
  my
• 17:10
  opinion
• 17:10
  is
• 17:10
  best
• 17:11
  for
• 17:11
  the
• 17:11
  fly
• 17:12
  is
• 17:12
  having
• 17:13
  a,
• 17:13
  a
• 17:13
  real
• 17:14
  thin
• 17:15
  tail
• 17:16
  that
• 17:16
  goes
• 17:16
  up
• 17:16
  to
• 17:16
  some
• 17:17
  broad
• 17:17
  shoulders
• 17:17
  that
• 17:18
  helps
• 17:18
  divert.
• 17:19
  But
• 17:19
  still
• 17:19
  you
• 17:19
  don't
• 17:20
  have
• 17:20
  as
• 17:20
  much
• 17:20
  mass
• 17:22
  because
• 17:22
  you've
• 17:23
  got
• 17:23
  that
• 17:23
  thin
• 17:23
  tail.
• 17:24
  So
• 17:24
  you
• 17:24
  can
• 17:24
  kind
• 17:24
  of
• 17:24
  keep
• 17:24
  the
• 17:25
  weight
• 17:25
  down
• 17:25
  a
• 17:25
  little
• 17:25
  bit.
• 17:27
  And
• 17:29
  so
• 17:29
  it's,
• 17:29
  you
• 17:30
  can
• 17:30
  change
• 17:30
  where
• 17:30
  the
• 17:31
  shoulders
• 17:31
  are
• 17:31
  on,
• 17:32
  on
• 17:32
  the
• 17:32
  fly.
• 17:33
  But
• 17:34
  honestly
• 17:34
  the
• 17:34
  biggest
• 17:35
  thing
• 17:35
  that
• 17:36
  helped
• 17:36
  me
• 17:37
  was
• 17:37
  ending
• 17:37
  up
• 17:38
  splitting
• 17:38
  the
• 17:38
  weight
• 17:38
  into
• 17:39
  three
• 17:39
  different
• 17:40
  places
• 17:40
  in
• 17:40
  the
• 17:40
  fly.
• 17:42
  Because
• 17:42
  I
• 17:43
  realized,
• 17:44
  you
• 17:44
  know,
• 17:44
  with
• 17:44
  a
• 17:45
  conventional
• 17:46
  spook,
• 17:46
  it's
• 17:47
  got
• 17:47
  enough
• 17:47
  mass
• 17:47
  all
• 17:47
  the
• 17:48
  way
• 17:48
  through
• 17:48
  it.
• 17:48
  You
• 17:48
  can
• 17:49
  add
• 17:49
  weight
• 17:49
  at
• 17:49
  the
• 17:49
  tail
• 17:50
  and
• 17:51
  that'll
• 17:51
  divert
• 17:52
  the
• 17:52
  spook
• 17:53
  off
• 17:53
  its
• 17:53
  line,
• 17:54
  and
• 17:54
  then
• 17:54
  it's
• 17:54
  got
• 17:54
  enough
• 17:54
  momentum
• 17:55
  just
• 17:55
  from
• 17:55
  its
• 17:56
  intrinsic
• 17:56
  weight
• 17:57
  to
• 17:58
  push
• 17:58
  through
• 17:58
  and
• 17:59
  go
• 17:59
  side
• 17:59
  to
• 17:59
  side
• 17:59
  after
• 18:00
  it
• 18:00
  gets
• 18:00
  diverted.
• 18:01
  But
• 18:01
  with
• 18:01
  a
• 18:01
  fly,
• 18:02
  it
• 18:02
  doesn't
• 18:03
  have
• 18:03
  that
• 18:03
  weight
• 18:04
  because
• 18:04
  it's
• 18:05
  just
• 18:05
  foam.
• 18:06
  And
• 18:06
  so
• 18:06
  I
• 18:07
  ended
• 18:07
  up
• 18:07
  having
• 18:07
  to
• 18:08
  add
• 18:08
  weight
• 18:09
  towards
• 18:09
  the
• 18:09
  very
• 18:10
  front
• 18:10
  of
• 18:10
  the
• 18:10
  fly
• 18:11
  to
• 18:11
  give
• 18:11
  it
• 18:11
  enough
• 18:12
  momentum
• 18:12
  that
• 18:13
  once
• 18:13
  the
• 18:13
  tail
• 18:14
  is
• 18:14
  diverted,
• 18:15
  it
• 18:15
  has
• 18:16
  that
• 18:17
  momentum
• 18:18
  to
• 18:18
  carry
• 18:18
  through
• 18:19
  and
• 18:19
  keep
• 18:19
  on
• 18:19
  pushing
• 18:20
  forward.
• 18:21
  And
• 18:22
  once
• 18:22
  I,
• 18:22
  once
• 18:22
  I
• 18:22
  figured
• 18:23
  that
• 18:23
  out,
• 18:23
  it
• 18:23
  makes
• 18:23
  him
• 18:24
  a
• 18:24
  lot
• 18:24
  easier
• 18:25
  to
• 18:25
  walk.
• 18:26
  Very
• 18:26
  interesting.
• 18:27
  Do
• 18:27
  you
• 18:27
  have
• 18:27
  any
• 18:27
  kind
• 18:27
  of
• 18:28
  favorite
• 18:28
  sizes
• 18:29
  or
• 18:29
  color
• 18:29
  combinations?
• 18:32
  Yes,
• 18:32
  I,
• 18:33
  I
• 18:33
  throw
• 18:33
  a
• 18:34
  bone
• 18:35
  spook
• 18:35
  almost
• 18:36
  90,
• 18:37
  99%
• 18:38
  of
• 18:38
  the
• 18:38
  time.
• 18:39
  It's
• 18:39
  just
• 18:39
  classic,
• 18:40
  and
• 18:40
  pretty
• 18:41
  much
• 18:41
  every
• 18:41
  color
• 18:42
  I
• 18:42
  make
• 18:42
  has
• 18:43
  a
• 18:43
  white
• 18:43
  belly
• 18:43
  anyway.
• 18:45
  So
• 18:45
  there's,
• 18:47
  you
• 18:48
  know,
• 18:48
  the,
• 18:48
  the
• 18:48
  fancy
• 18:49
  colors
• 18:49
  are,
• 18:49
  are
• 18:49
  fun
• 18:49
  to
• 18:50
  look
• 18:50
  at,
• 18:50
  fun
• 18:50
  to
• 18:50
  make,
• 18:51
  but
• 18:52
  I
• 18:52
  don't
• 18:52
  know
• 18:52
  if
• 18:52
  they
• 18:52
  make
• 18:52
  too
• 18:53
  much
• 18:53
  of
• 18:53
  a
• 18:53
  difference,
• 18:53
  especially
• 18:54
  with
• 18:54
  the
• 18:54
  top
• 18:54
  water
• 18:55
  where
• 18:55
  you're
• 18:55
  seeing
• 18:55
  that
• 18:55
  white
• 18:56
  belly
• 18:56
  and
• 18:56
  the
• 18:56
  commotion
• 18:57
  more
• 18:57
  than
• 18:57
  anything
• 18:57
  else.
• 18:58
  So
• 18:58
  I
• 18:59
  usually
• 18:59
  just
• 18:59
  stick
• 18:59
  with
• 18:59
  bone.
• 19:00
  And
• 19:01
  I've
• 19:01
  kind
• 19:01
  of
• 19:01
  graduated
• 19:02
  more
• 19:02
  towards
• 19:03
  throwing
• 19:03
  smaller
• 19:04
  spooks
• 19:05
  just
• 19:05
  because
• 19:05
  they're
• 19:05
  easier
• 19:06
  to
• 19:06
  cast.
• 19:07
  And
• 19:07
  I
• 19:07
  find
• 19:07
  that
• 19:08
  the
• 19:08
  little
• 19:08
  fish
• 19:08
  come
• 19:08
  up
• 19:09
  and
• 19:09
  hit
• 19:09
  the
• 19:09
  big
• 19:09
  ones
• 19:10
  anyway,
• 19:10
  and
• 19:10
  then
• 19:11
  they
• 19:11
  just
• 19:11
  don't
• 19:11
  get
• 19:11
  stuck
• 19:12
  because
• 19:12
  they
• 19:12
  can't
• 19:12
  eat
• 19:13
  the
• 19:13
  hooks.
• 19:14
  So
• 19:14
  I'll,
• 19:15
  I'll
• 19:15
  downsize
• 19:16
  more
• 19:17
  often
• 19:17
  now
• 19:17
  so,
• 19:18
  so
• 19:18
  that
• 19:18
  I
• 19:18
  can
• 19:19
  get
• 19:20
  some
• 19:20
  more
• 19:20
  fun
• 19:21
  bites
• 19:21
  and
• 19:21
  takes
• 19:22
  and,
• 19:22
  and
• 19:22
  still
• 19:22
  have
• 19:23
  the
• 19:23
  big
• 19:23
  fish
• 19:23
  as
• 19:23
  well.
• 19:24
  So
• 19:24
  I
• 19:24
  probably
• 19:24
  like
• 19:26
  the
• 19:26
  55
• 19:27
  millimeter.
• 19:27
  It's
• 19:28
  a
• 19:28
  medium
• 19:29
  size,
• 19:30
  and
• 19:30
  you
• 19:30
  can
• 19:30
  cast
• 19:30
  it
• 19:31
  on
• 19:31
  a
• 19:31
  six
• 19:31
  or
• 19:31
  seven
• 19:32
  weight.
• 19:33
  But
• 19:33
  that
• 19:34
  one,
• 19:34
  that
• 19:34
  one
• 19:34
  does
• 19:35
  really
• 19:35
  well
• 19:35
  for
• 19:36
  small
• 19:36
  and
• 19:36
  big
• 19:36
  fish.
• 19:37
  Got
• 19:38
  it.
• 19:38
  And
• 19:38
  for
• 19:38
  painting
• 19:39
  your
• 19:39
  flies,
• 19:39
  are
• 19:39
  you
• 19:39
  using
• 19:40
  an
• 19:40
  airbrush
• 19:40
  or
• 19:40
  are
• 19:40
  you
• 19:41
  doing
• 19:41
  something
• 19:41
  else?
• 19:42
  I
• 19:43
  use
• 19:43
  an
• 19:43
  airbrush
• 19:43
  with
• 19:44
  flexible
• 19:44
  paints.
• 19:46
  I,
• 19:47
  I
• 19:47
  think
• 19:47
  I
• 19:47
  usually
• 19:48
  use
• 19:48
  leather,
• 19:49
  leather
• 19:50
  painting
• 19:50
  paints
• 19:51
  because
• 19:51
  they're
• 19:51
  made
• 19:51
  to
• 19:51
  flex
• 19:52
  and
• 19:52
  not
• 19:52
  crack
• 19:54
  since
• 19:55
  it's,
• 19:55
  since
• 19:55
  it's
• 19:56
  all
• 19:56
  foam
• 19:56
  and,
• 19:57
  and
• 19:57
  stuff
• 19:58
  like
• 19:58
  that,
• 19:58
  it's.
• 20:00
  So,
• 20:00
  yes,
• 20:00
  an
• 20:01
  airbrush
• 20:01
  and
• 20:01
  sometimes
• 20:02
  I'll
• 20:02
  use
• 20:03
  regular
• 20:04
  spray
• 20:04
  paint,
• 20:04
  but
• 20:04
  I
• 20:04
  found
• 20:05
  the,
• 20:05
  the
• 20:05
  airbrush
• 20:06
  just
• 20:06
  seems
• 20:06
  to
• 20:06
  work
• 20:07
  much
• 20:07
  better.
• 20:08
  Got
• 20:08
  it.
• 20:08
  And
• 20:08
  we
• 20:08
  kind
• 20:09
  of
• 20:09
  picked
• 20:09
  apart
• 20:09
  the
• 20:10
  action
• 20:10
  pretty
• 20:10
  well,
• 20:10
  but,
• 20:11
  you
• 20:11
  know,
• 20:11
  kind
• 20:11
  of.
• 20:11
  Any
• 20:12
  other
• 20:12
  evolutions
• 20:12
  in
• 20:13
  the
• 20:13
  spiral
• 20:13
  spook
• 20:13
  since
• 20:14
  the
• 20:14
  original
• 20:14
  version?
• 20:14
  You
• 20:14
  want
• 20:15
  to
• 20:15
  share
• 20:15
  with
• 20:15
  folks?
• 20:17
  Yeah,
• 20:17
  One
• 20:17
  of
• 20:17
  the,
• 20:17
  one
• 20:17
  of
• 20:17
  the
• 20:18
  other
• 20:18
  big
• 20:18
  things
• 20:18
  that
• 20:19
  made
• 20:19
  a
• 20:19
  huge
• 20:20
  difference
• 20:20
  in
• 20:20
  the
• 20:21
  hookup
• 20:21
  ratio
• 20:22
  was
• 20:22
  switching
• 20:22
  to
• 20:23
  a
• 20:24
  wide
• 20:24
  gap
• 20:25
  worm
• 20:25
  hook
• 20:26
  that
• 20:26
  has
• 20:26
  an
• 20:26
  offset
• 20:27
  eye.
• 20:28
  So
• 20:28
  the
• 20:28
  point's
• 20:29
  still
• 20:29
  in
• 20:29
  line,
• 20:29
  but
• 20:30
  the
• 20:30
  eye
• 20:30
  is
• 20:30
  offset.
• 20:32
  And
• 20:33
  I
• 20:34
  was
• 20:34
  using
• 20:34
  a,
• 20:35
  a
• 20:35
  nice,
• 20:36
  a
• 20:36
  nice
• 20:36
  hook,
• 20:36
  an
• 20:36
  a
• 20:37
  rex
• 20:37
  curved
• 20:37
  saltwater
• 20:38
  hook
• 20:38
  for
• 20:38
  a
• 20:39
  long
• 20:39
  time.
• 20:39
  But
• 20:39
  the
• 20:40
  whole,
• 20:40
  the
• 20:40
  hook
• 20:40
  point
• 20:42
  is
• 20:42
  curved
• 20:43
  back
• 20:43
  towards
• 20:43
  the
• 20:44
  hooked
• 20:44
  shank.
• 20:45
  And
• 20:46
  so
• 20:46
  when
• 20:47
  that
• 20:47
  hook
• 20:48
  is
• 20:48
  pulled
• 20:48
  straight
• 20:49
  out
• 20:49
  behind
• 20:50
  the
• 20:50
  shank,
• 20:50
  behind
• 20:51
  it,
• 20:52
  the
• 20:52
  hook
• 20:52
  point
• 20:52
  is
• 20:53
  pointed
• 20:53
  down
• 20:53
  instead
• 20:54
  of
• 20:54
  up.
• 20:55
  So
• 20:55
  when
• 20:55
  you're
• 20:56
  pulling
• 20:56
  that
• 20:56
  foam
• 20:57
  body
• 20:57
  through
• 20:57
  a
• 20:57
  fish's
• 20:58
  mouth,
• 20:59
  lots
• 20:59
  of
• 20:59
  times
• 21:00
  you're
• 21:00
  prying
• 21:00
  the
• 21:01
  fish's
• 21:01
  jaws
• 21:02
  open
• 21:02
  because
• 21:03
  it's,
• 21:03
  it's
• 21:03
  a
• 21:03
  big
• 21:03
  foam
• 21:04
  body
• 21:04
  you're
• 21:04
  having
• 21:04
  to
• 21:04
  pull
• 21:05
  out
• 21:05
  of
• 21:05
  its
• 21:05
  mouth.
• 21:06
  So
• 21:06
  if
• 21:06
  the
• 21:06
  hook
• 21:06
  point
• 21:07
  is
• 21:07
  pointed
• 21:07
  down
• 21:08
  as
• 21:08
  it
• 21:08
  comes
• 21:08
  through,
• 21:10
  it
• 21:10
  misses
• 21:10
  their
• 21:11
  lips
• 21:11
  and
• 21:12
  gets
• 21:12
  just
• 21:12
  pulled
• 21:13
  out
• 21:13
  of
• 21:13
  their
• 21:13
  mouth.
• 21:14
  And
• 21:14
  once
• 21:14
  I
• 21:15
  switch
• 21:15
  to
• 21:15
  this,
• 21:17
  this
• 21:18
  other
• 21:18
  hook
• 21:18
  that
• 21:18
  has
• 21:18
  the
• 21:19
  downturned
• 21:20
  eye,
• 21:21
  it
• 21:21
  lifts
• 21:21
  that
• 21:21
  hook
• 21:22
  point
• 21:22
  up
• 21:22
  as
• 21:22
  it's
• 21:22
  coming
• 21:23
  out,
• 21:23
  and
• 21:23
  so
• 21:23
  it'll
• 21:23
  catch
• 21:24
  their
• 21:24
  lip
• 21:25
  as
• 21:25
  you're
• 21:26
  pulling
• 21:26
  the
• 21:26
  foam
• 21:26
  through
• 21:26
  their
• 21:27
  mouth.
• 21:27
  It
• 21:27
  made
• 21:27
  a
• 21:28
  huge
• 21:28
  difference.
• 21:28
  And
• 21:29
  I
• 21:29
  tested
• 21:30
  so
• 21:30
  many
• 21:30
  hooks
• 21:30
  before
• 21:30
  I
• 21:31
  kind
• 21:32
  of
• 21:32
  settled
• 21:32
  on
• 21:32
  that
• 21:32
  one.
• 21:34
  Interesting.
• 21:34
  And
• 21:34
  what
• 21:34
  are
• 21:35
  some
• 21:35
  common
• 21:35
  mistakes
• 21:36
  folks
• 21:36
  make
• 21:36
  when
• 21:36
  they
• 21:36
  try
• 21:36
  to
• 21:37
  tie
• 21:37
  the
• 21:37
  spiral
• 21:37
  spooky?
• 21:40
  You
• 21:41
  know,
• 21:41
  probably
• 21:43
  not
• 21:43
  using
• 21:43
  enough
• 21:45
  of
• 21:45
  a
• 21:45
  body
• 21:45
  underneath
• 21:46
  the
• 21:46
  outer
• 21:47
  wrap.
• 21:48
  I
• 21:48
  see
• 21:48
  people
• 21:48
  mostly
• 21:49
  just
• 21:49
  wrapping
• 21:50
  foam
• 21:50
  directly
• 21:51
  onto
• 21:53
  a
• 21:53
  shank
• 21:53
  or
• 21:54
  something
• 21:54
  like
• 21:54
  that.
• 21:54
  Like,
• 21:55
  you
• 21:55
  do
• 21:55
  have
• 21:55
  to,
• 21:56
  you
• 21:56
  have
• 21:57
  to
• 21:57
  make
• 21:57
  a
• 21:57
  body
• 21:57
  underneath
• 21:58
  there
• 21:58
  and
• 21:58
  then
• 21:58
  wrap
• 21:59
  over
• 21:59
  it.
• 22:01
  And,
• 22:01
  and
• 22:02
  that's
• 22:02
  kind
• 22:02
  of
• 22:02
  how
• 22:02
  you
• 22:03
  fine
• 22:03
  tune
• 22:03
  the
• 22:04
  shape.
• 22:04
  And
• 22:05
  the
• 22:05
  final
• 22:05
  wrap
• 22:05
  just
• 22:06
  gives
• 22:06
  it
• 22:06
  the
• 22:07
  veneer
• 22:07
  of
• 22:08
  a
• 22:08
  finish.
• 22:10
  And
• 22:11
  besides
• 22:12
  that,
• 22:12
  probably
• 22:13
  not
• 22:13
  using
• 22:13
  monofilament.
• 22:15
  There's
• 22:15
  a,
• 22:16
  if
• 22:16
  you
• 22:16
  look
• 22:16
  on
• 22:17
  the
• 22:17
  back
• 22:17
  of
• 22:17
  all
• 22:17
  my
• 22:18
  spooks,
• 22:18
  there's
• 22:18
  a
• 22:18
  little
• 22:18
  loop
• 22:19
  of
• 22:19
  monofilament
• 22:20
  that
• 22:21
  sits
• 22:22
  right
• 22:22
  over
• 22:22
  the
• 22:22
  top
• 22:23
  of
• 22:23
  the
• 22:24
  hook
• 22:25
  shank
• 22:25
  or.
• 22:26
  Yeah.
• 22:26
  Of
• 22:26
  the,
• 22:26
  the
• 22:27
  eye
• 22:27
  of
• 22:27
  the
• 22:27
  hook.
• 22:27
  And
• 22:28
  it's
• 22:28
  resting
• 22:28
  on
• 22:29
  the
• 22:30
  eye
• 22:30
  of
• 22:30
  the
• 22:31
  shank.
• 22:32
  And
• 22:32
  so
• 22:32
  it
• 22:32
  prevents
• 22:33
  the
• 22:33
  hook
• 22:34
  point
• 22:34
  from
• 22:34
  coming
• 22:35
  up
• 22:35
  and
• 22:35
  over
• 22:35
  and
• 22:35
  stabbing
• 22:36
  into
• 22:36
  the
• 22:36
  back
• 22:36
  of
• 22:36
  the
• 22:37
  fly.
• 22:38
  Because
• 22:38
  if,
• 22:39
  if
• 22:39
  the
• 22:39
  hook
• 22:39
  has
• 22:40
  full
• 22:40
  play,
• 22:41
  it's
• 22:41
  not
• 22:41
  a
• 22:41
  hard
• 22:42
  bait
• 22:42
  like
• 22:42
  a
• 22:42
  conventional
• 22:43
  spook,
• 22:43
  where
• 22:43
  they
• 22:44
  don't
• 22:44
  need
• 22:44
  to
• 22:45
  prevent
• 22:45
  that
• 22:45
  and
• 22:46
  they
• 22:46
  can
• 22:46
  have
• 22:46
  trebles
• 22:46
  on
• 22:46
  it.
• 22:47
  But
• 22:48
  with
• 22:48
  this
• 22:48
  fly,
• 22:48
  if,
• 22:49
  if
• 22:49
  the
• 22:49
  hook
• 22:50
  swings
• 22:50
  up
• 22:50
  and
• 22:50
  over,
• 22:51
  it'll
• 22:51
  stab
• 22:51
  into
• 22:52
  the
• 22:52
  foam.
• 22:52
  But
• 22:53
  putting
• 22:53
  a,
• 22:53
  a
• 22:54
  sideways
• 22:54
  loop
• 22:55
  of
• 22:55
  monofilament
• 22:55
  on
• 22:56
  the
• 22:56
  top
• 22:56
  of
• 22:56
  that
• 22:57
  back
• 22:57
  hook
• 22:57
  shank
• 22:58
  eye
• 22:59
  prevents
• 22:59
  that
• 22:59
  from
• 22:59
  happening.
• 23:00
  That
• 23:00
  makes
• 23:01
  a
• 23:01
  huge
• 23:01
  deal
• 23:01
  with
• 23:01
  the
• 23:02
  amount
• 23:02
  of
• 23:02
  tangles
• 23:02
  and,
• 23:04
  and
• 23:05
  stuff,
• 23:05
  things
• 23:05
  like
• 23:06
  that
• 23:06
  happening
• 23:06
  when
• 23:06
  you're
• 23:06
  casting.
• 23:07
  Yeah,
• 23:08
  interesting.
• 23:08
  And
• 23:08
  so
• 23:08
  I
• 23:09
  understand,
• 23:09
  right,
• 23:09
  that
• 23:09
  you
• 23:10
  really
• 23:10
  are,
• 23:10
  you
• 23:10
  know,
• 23:11
  using
• 23:11
  that
• 23:11
  final
• 23:12
  foam
• 23:12
  wrap
• 23:12
  as
• 23:12
  a
• 23:13
  veneer,
• 23:13
  but,
• 23:13
  you
• 23:14
  know,
• 23:14
  to
• 23:14
  kind
• 23:14
  of
• 23:14
  help
• 23:14
  people
• 23:15
  that
• 23:15
  want
• 23:15
  to
• 23:15
  give
• 23:15
  this
• 23:15
  fly
• 23:16
  a
• 23:16
  shot
• 23:16
  at
• 23:16
  their
• 23:16
  vice.
• 23:17
  You
• 23:17
  know,
• 23:17
  talk
• 23:18
  a
• 23:18
  little
• 23:18
  bit
• 23:18
  about,
• 23:19
  you
• 23:19
  know,
• 23:19
  the
• 23:20
  gaps
• 23:20
  you
• 23:20
  can
• 23:20
  kind
• 23:21
  of
• 23:21
  have
• 23:21
  in
• 23:21
  that
• 23:21
  underlying
• 23:22
  foam
• 23:22
  or,
• 23:23
  you
• 23:23
  know,
• 23:23
  are
• 23:23
  you
• 23:23
  sitting
• 23:23
  there
• 23:24
  and
• 23:24
  there,
• 23:25
  you
• 23:25
  know,
• 23:25
  you
• 23:25
  can
• 23:25
  have
• 23:25
  the
• 23:25
  gaps
• 23:26
  if
• 23:26
  you
• 23:26
  know
• 23:26
  where
• 23:26
  to
• 23:26
  put
• 23:26
  them.
• 23:27
  Or
• 23:27
  do
• 23:27
  you
• 23:27
  have
• 23:27
  to,
• 23:27
  like,
• 23:27
  end
• 23:28
  up
• 23:28
  making
• 23:28
  a
• 23:28
  bunch
• 23:28
  of
• 23:28
  foam
• 23:29
  effectively
• 23:29
  shims
• 23:30
  to
• 23:30
  kind
• 23:30
  of
• 23:30
  smooth
• 23:31
  the
• 23:31
  underbody
• 23:31
  out
• 23:31
  first?
• 23:33
  Yeah,
• 23:33
  I
• 23:33
  use,
• 23:34
  I
• 23:34
  use
• 23:34
  multiple
• 23:35
  pieces
• 23:35
  of
• 23:35
  foam
• 23:36
  under,
• 23:36
  under
• 23:36
  the
• 23:37
  body.
• 23:37
  And
• 23:37
  I
• 23:37
  try
• 23:37
  to,
• 23:38
  I
• 23:38
  try
• 23:38
  to
• 23:38
  cut
• 23:38
  them
• 23:40
  to
• 23:40
  the
• 23:40
  general
• 23:41
  shape
• 23:41
  of
• 23:41
  the,
• 23:42
  of
• 23:43
  the,
• 23:43
  of
• 23:43
  what
• 23:43
  I
• 23:43
  want
• 23:43
  the
• 23:44
  final
• 23:44
  spook
• 23:44
  to
• 23:45
  be.
• 23:46
  And
• 23:47
  then
• 23:47
  I
• 23:48
  kind
• 23:48
  of
• 23:48
  glue
• 23:49
  them
• 23:49
  top
• 23:49
  and
• 23:50
  bottom
• 23:50
  with
• 23:50
  the,
• 23:52
  with
• 23:52
  the
• 23:52
  shank
• 23:52
  in
• 23:52
  the
• 23:53
  middle.
• 23:54
  And
• 23:55
  from
• 23:55
  there
• 23:55
  you
• 23:56
  can
• 23:56
  then
• 23:56
  use
• 23:57
  little
• 23:57
  strips
• 23:58
  of
• 23:58
  the
• 23:59
  thin
• 23:59
  foam,
• 24:00
  like
• 24:00
  the
• 24:00
  same
• 24:00
  stuff
• 24:01
  you're
• 24:01
  using
• 24:01
  for
• 24:01
  the
• 24:01
  wrap,
• 24:02
  to
• 24:02
  help
• 24:02
  taper
• 24:03
  the
• 24:03
  body
• 24:03
  and
• 24:04
  build
• 24:04
  it
• 24:04
  up
• 24:04
  in
• 24:04
  certain
• 24:05
  places
• 24:05
  until
• 24:05
  you
• 24:06
  get
• 24:06
  the
• 24:06
  shape
• 24:06
  that
• 24:07
  you
• 24:07
  like.
• 24:08
  And
• 24:08
  then
• 24:08
  you
• 24:08
  can
• 24:09
  wrap
• 24:09
  that
• 24:09
  final.
• 24:10
  The
• 24:11
  final
• 24:11
  wrap.
• 24:11
  But
• 24:11
  yeah,
• 24:11
  you
• 24:12
  definitely.
• 24:12
  It's.
• 24:12
  It's
• 24:13
  all
• 24:13
  filled
• 24:13
  with
• 24:13
  foam.
• 24:14
  There's
• 24:14
  no
• 24:14
  real
• 24:15
  gaps
• 24:17
  because
• 24:17
  it'll
• 24:17
  get
• 24:17
  compressed
• 24:18
  under
• 24:18
  that
• 24:18
  outer
• 24:19
  wrap.
• 24:19
  So
• 24:19
  you
• 24:19
  do
• 24:19
  have
• 24:20
  to
• 24:20
  fill
• 24:20
  it
• 24:20
  with
• 24:20
  foam.
• 24:20
  But
• 24:21
  if
• 24:21
  you
• 24:21
  use
• 24:21
  too
• 24:22
  much
• 24:22
  and
• 24:22
  you
• 24:22
  do
• 24:23
  too
• 24:23
  tight
• 24:23
  a
• 24:24
  thread
• 24:24
  wraps,
• 24:25
  you'll
• 24:25
  compress
• 24:25
  that
• 24:25
  foam
• 24:26
  so
• 24:26
  much
• 24:26
  it
• 24:26
  becomes
• 24:27
  just
• 24:27
  like
• 24:27
  a
• 24:28
  rock
• 24:29
  and
• 24:29
  loses
• 24:29
  all
• 24:30
  of
• 24:30
  its
• 24:31
  buoyancy
• 24:32
  and
• 24:32
  flotation
• 24:33
  and
• 24:34
  becomes
• 24:34
  too
• 24:35
  heavy.
• 24:36
  So
• 24:36
  it's
• 24:36
  a
• 24:36
  fine
• 24:36
  line
• 24:37
  of
• 24:38
  building
• 24:38
  the.
• 24:39
  Building
• 24:39
  the
• 24:39
  bodies
• 24:40
  to
• 24:40
  shape
• 24:40
  and
• 24:41
  adding
• 24:41
  little
• 24:42
  shims
• 24:42
  to
• 24:43
  fill
• 24:43
  it
• 24:43
  out
• 24:43
  the
• 24:44
  way
• 24:44
  you
• 24:44
  like.
• 24:45
  Got
• 24:45
  it.
• 24:46
  And
• 24:46
  so
• 24:46
  we
• 24:46
  know
• 24:46
  you
• 24:47
  want
• 24:47
  to
• 24:47
  use
• 24:48
  soft
• 24:48
  mono
• 24:49
  in
• 24:49
  your
• 24:49
  leader
• 24:49
  system,
• 24:49
  but
• 24:50
  why
• 24:50
  don't
• 24:50
  you
• 24:50
  talk
• 24:50
  us
• 24:50
  through
• 24:50
  your
• 24:51
  preferred
• 24:51
  line
• 24:51
  and
• 24:51
  leader
• 24:51
  setups?
• 24:53
  So
• 24:54
  for
• 24:54
  my
• 24:55
  line
• 24:55
  and
• 24:56
  leader,
• 24:56
  I'm,
• 24:56
  I'm
• 24:57
  not
• 24:57
  super
• 24:57
  picky
• 24:58
  on
• 24:58
  lines.
• 24:59
  I'm
• 24:59
  still
• 24:59
  probably
• 24:59
  trying
• 25:00
  to
• 25:00
  find
• 25:00
  what
• 25:01
  I
• 25:01
  like
• 25:01
  the
• 25:01
  best
• 25:02
  in
• 25:02
  terms
• 25:02
  of
• 25:02
  tapers.
• 25:03
  I've.
• 25:05
  I've
• 25:05
  thrown
• 25:05
  a
• 25:05
  few
• 25:06
  different
• 25:06
  ones
• 25:06
  that
• 25:06
  work
• 25:07
  really
• 25:07
  well.
• 25:07
  The
• 25:08
  scientific
• 25:08
  anglers,
• 25:09
  Bass
• 25:10
  and
• 25:10
  Muskie
• 25:10
  and
• 25:10
  Titan
• 25:11
  taper
• 25:11
  works
• 25:12
  well.
• 25:12
  Some
• 25:12
  of
• 25:13
  the
• 25:13
  Rio
• 25:14
  Aggressive
• 25:15
  short
• 25:16
  head
• 25:16
  tapers
• 25:17
  work
• 25:17
  really
• 25:17
  well.
• 25:19
  One
• 25:19
  of
• 25:19
  my
• 25:20
  friends
• 25:20
  down
• 25:21
  here
• 25:21
  at,
• 25:22
  at
• 25:23
  a
• 25:23
  local
• 25:23
  fly
• 25:23
  shop,
• 25:24
  Chris
• 25:24
  Johnson,
• 25:25
  he
• 25:25
  designed
• 25:25
  a
• 25:26
  fly
• 25:26
  line
• 25:26
  called
• 25:27
  the
• 25:27
  Texas
• 25:27
  Taper.
• 25:28
  And
• 25:29
  that
• 25:29
  one's
• 25:29
  got
• 25:29
  a
• 25:30
  much
• 25:31
  longer
• 25:31
  head,
• 25:31
  but
• 25:32
  works
• 25:32
  really
• 25:32
  well
• 25:32
  if
• 25:32
  I'm
• 25:33
  casting
• 25:33
  further
• 25:34
  with
• 25:34
  smaller,
• 25:35
  smaller
• 25:35
  spooks.
• 25:36
  So
• 25:36
  there's.
• 25:37
  It
• 25:37
  depends
• 25:37
  on
• 25:37
  your
• 25:38
  presentation.
• 25:38
  If
• 25:38
  you're,
• 25:39
  if
• 25:39
  you're
• 25:39
  throwing
• 25:40
  short
• 25:40
  and
• 25:40
  you're
• 25:41
  not
• 25:41
  having
• 25:41
  to
• 25:41
  fish
• 25:42
  really
• 25:42
  long
• 25:42
  casts,
• 25:43
  I
• 25:43
  definitely
• 25:43
  like
• 25:44
  a
• 25:44
  nice,
• 25:44
  heavy
• 25:45
  head.
• 25:45
  Makes
• 25:45
  it
• 25:45
  easy
• 25:46
  to
• 25:46
  Cast
• 25:46
  the
• 25:47
  heavy
• 25:47
  fly.
• 25:48
  It
• 25:48
  doesn't
• 25:48
  have
• 25:49
  any
• 25:49
  drag
• 25:49
  going
• 25:49
  through
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  air,
• 25:50
  which
• 25:50
  makes
• 25:51
  it
• 25:51
  really
• 25:51
  hard
• 25:51
  to
• 25:52
  change
• 25:52
  your
• 25:52
  angle
• 25:53
  of
• 25:53
  approach
• 25:54
  as
• 25:54
  you're
• 25:54
  casting.
• 25:55
  And
• 25:56
  if
• 25:56
  it's
• 25:56
  windy,
• 25:57
  it's
• 25:57
  kind
• 25:57
  of
• 25:58
  a
• 25:58
  bear.
• 25:59
  The
• 25:59
  wind
• 26:00
  will
• 26:00
  blow
• 26:00
  it
• 26:00
  everywhere.
• 26:01
  I've,
• 26:01
  I've
• 26:02
  cast
• 26:02
  it
• 26:02
  before
• 26:02
  and
• 26:03
  caught
• 26:03
  one
• 26:03
  of
• 26:03
  my
• 26:04
  friends
• 26:04
  on
• 26:04
  the
• 26:04
  side,
• 26:04
  and
• 26:04
  it
• 26:05
  left
• 26:05
  a
• 26:05
  perfect
• 26:05
  impression,
• 26:06
  hook
• 26:06
  and
• 26:07
  everything
• 26:08
  of,
• 26:08
  of
• 26:08
  that
• 26:09
  fly.
• 26:09
  So
• 26:10
  it's
• 26:10
  definitely
• 26:11
  a
• 26:11
  low
• 26:11
  wind,
• 26:12
  no
• 26:12
  wind
• 26:13
  kind
• 26:13
  of
• 26:14
  fly.
• 26:15
  And
• 26:15
  that's,
• 26:15
  that's
• 26:15
  where
• 26:16
  you'd
• 26:16
  want
• 26:16
  to
• 26:16
  be
• 26:16
  using
• 26:16
  it
• 26:17
  anyway
• 26:17
  because
• 26:17
  it
• 26:17
  can't
• 26:18
  really
• 26:18
  fight
• 26:19
  waves
• 26:19
  or
• 26:19
  things
• 26:20
  like
• 26:20
  that
• 26:20
  to,
• 26:21
  to
• 26:21
  get
• 26:21
  the
• 26:21
  action.
• 26:22
  So
• 26:23
  it's
• 26:23
  a
• 26:23
  fair
• 26:23
  weather
• 26:24
  fly
• 26:24
  when
• 26:24
  they're,
• 26:24
  when
• 26:25
  they're
• 26:25
  looking
• 26:25
  up
• 26:25
  on
• 26:25
  the
• 26:26
  surface.
• 26:27
  Got
• 26:28
  it.
• 26:28
  And
• 26:28
  obviously
• 26:28
  all
• 26:28
  those
• 26:29
  lines
• 26:29
  are
• 26:29
  floaters.
• 26:30
  Yes,
• 26:31
  everything's
• 26:31
  a
• 26:31
  floating
• 26:31
  line.
• 26:32
  And
• 26:32
  I
• 26:32
  like
• 26:32
  to
• 26:33
  use
• 26:34
  maybe
• 26:34
  2ft
• 26:35
  of
• 26:35
  50
• 26:36
  pound
• 26:36
  down
• 26:36
  to
• 26:37
  2ft
• 26:37
  of
• 26:38
  35
• 26:38
  or
• 26:39
  40.
• 26:40
  And
• 26:40
  then
• 26:41
  I'll
• 26:41
  use
• 26:41
  a
• 26:41
  final
• 26:42
  2ft
• 26:42
  of
• 26:44
  20,
• 26:45
  sometimes
• 26:45
  17
• 26:48
  to,
• 26:48
  to
• 26:49
  fish
• 26:49
  the,
• 26:49
  the
• 26:49
  fly
• 26:50
  with
• 26:50
  a
• 26:50
  fairly
• 26:50
  short
• 26:51
  leader.
• 26:52
  All,
• 26:53
  all
• 26:53
  nylon
• 26:54
  or
• 26:54
  monofilament
• 26:55
  I
• 26:55
  really
• 26:55
  like.
• 26:55
  The
• 26:55
  orb
• 26:56
  is
• 26:56
  super
• 26:56
  strong.
• 26:57
  It's,
• 26:57
  it's
• 26:57
  really
• 26:57
  limp.
• 26:59
  So
• 26:59
  that's
• 26:59
  what
• 26:59
  I
• 26:59
  use
• 27:00
  a
• 27:00
  lot.
• 27:01
  Got
• 27:01
  it.
• 27:01
  And
• 27:01
  of
• 27:01
  course,
• 27:02
  the,
• 27:02
  the
• 27:02
  secret
• 27:03
  sauce
• 27:03
  is
• 27:03
  the,
• 27:03
  is
• 27:04
  the
• 27:04
  action.
• 27:04
  You
• 27:04
  want
• 27:04
  to
• 27:05
  tell
• 27:05
  folks
• 27:05
  how
• 27:05
  to,
• 27:06
  to
• 27:06
  get
• 27:06
  the,
• 27:07
  the
• 27:07
  spiral
• 27:07
  spook
• 27:08
  to
• 27:08
  glide
• 27:08
  and
• 27:08
  walk.
• 27:10
  Yeah.
• 27:10
  The
• 27:11
  number
• 27:11
  one
• 27:11
  thing
• 27:12
  I
• 27:12
  see
• 27:13
  when
• 27:13
  people
• 27:14
  try
• 27:14
  to
• 27:14
  fish
• 27:14
  the
• 27:14
  fly
• 27:15
  and
• 27:15
  get
• 27:15
  frustrated
• 27:16
  with
• 27:16
  it
• 27:16
  is
• 27:16
  they're
• 27:16
  doing
• 27:17
  too
• 27:17
  long
• 27:17
  of
• 27:17
  a
• 27:17
  strip.
• 27:18
  So
• 27:19
  I'm
• 27:19
  keeping
• 27:20
  my
• 27:20
  rod
• 27:20
  tip
• 27:20
  touching
• 27:21
  the
• 27:21
  water.
• 27:22
  I'm
• 27:22
  doing
• 27:23
  very,
• 27:23
  very
• 27:24
  short,
• 27:25
  sharp
• 27:25
  strips.
• 27:26
  So
• 27:26
  it's,
• 27:26
  it's
• 27:27
  almost
• 27:27
  just
• 27:28
  flicking
• 27:28
  your
• 27:28
  wrist
• 27:29
  maybe
• 27:30
  three
• 27:30
  inches.
• 27:31
  And
• 27:32
  if
• 27:32
  it's,
• 27:32
  if
• 27:32
  it's
• 27:32
  not
• 27:33
  acting
• 27:33
  right,
• 27:33
  it's
• 27:34
  probably
• 27:34
  because
• 27:34
  you're
• 27:35
  stripping
• 27:35
  too
• 27:35
  long.
• 27:37
  So.
• 27:38
  Yeah.
• 27:38
  Rod
• 27:38
  tip
• 27:38
  down.
• 27:39
  Short
• 27:39
  strips.
• 27:40
  You
• 27:40
  can
• 27:40
  strip
• 27:41
  fast,
• 27:41
  you
• 27:41
  can
• 27:41
  strip
• 27:42
  slow.
• 27:42
  I
• 27:42
  really
• 27:43
  like
• 27:43
  to
• 27:44
  make
• 27:44
  my
• 27:44
  cast
• 27:45
  do
• 27:45
  a
• 27:45
  couple
• 27:45
  fast
• 27:46
  strips
• 27:46
  to
• 27:46
  get
• 27:46
  it
• 27:47
  off
• 27:47
  axis
• 27:48
  and
• 27:48
  then
• 27:48
  work
• 27:49
  it
• 27:49
  more
• 27:49
  slowly
• 27:50
  because
• 27:50
  once
• 27:50
  it
• 27:50
  gets
• 27:51
  off
• 27:51
  its
• 27:51
  center
• 27:51
  line
• 27:52
  and
• 27:52
  starts
• 27:52
  going
• 27:52
  side
• 27:52
  to
• 27:53
  side,
• 27:53
  you
• 27:53
  can
• 27:54
  slow
• 27:54
  it
• 27:54
  down
• 27:55
  and
• 27:56
  use
• 27:56
  it.
• 27:56
  Use
• 27:57
  different
• 27:57
  tempos
• 27:57
  to
• 27:58
  get
• 27:58
  different
• 27:58
  actions,
• 27:59
  but
• 28:00
  definitely
• 28:00
  using
• 28:01
  short,
• 28:01
  short,
• 28:02
  short
• 28:02
  strips.
• 28:03
  And
• 28:04
  it's
• 28:04
  hard
• 28:04
  to
• 28:04
  even
• 28:04
  emphasize
• 28:05
  just
• 28:05
  how
• 28:06
  small
• 28:06
  of
• 28:06
  a
• 28:06
  strip
• 28:07
  it
• 28:07
  has
• 28:07
  to
• 28:07
  be.
• 28:08
  Yeah,
• 28:09
  got
• 28:09
  it.
• 28:09
  It's
• 28:09
  kind
• 28:09
  of,
• 28:09
  I
• 28:10
  think
• 28:10
  we
• 28:10
  would
• 28:10
  call
• 28:10
  it
• 28:10
  kind
• 28:10
  of
• 28:11
  like,
• 28:11
  you
• 28:11
  know,
• 28:11
  like
• 28:12
  milk
• 28:12
  in
• 28:12
  a
• 28:12
  hamster,
• 28:13
  right?
• 28:13
  Something
• 28:13
  like
• 28:13
  that.
• 28:14
  So,
• 28:14
  yeah,
• 28:15
  yeah,
• 28:15
  the,
• 28:17
  you
• 28:17
  know,
• 28:17
  in
• 28:18
  terms
• 28:18
  of
• 28:18
  the
• 28:18
  glide,
• 28:19
  you
• 28:19
  know,
• 28:19
  what
• 28:19
  should
• 28:19
  folks
• 28:20
  expect
• 28:20
  to
• 28:20
  see
• 28:20
  kind
• 28:20
  of
• 28:21
  in
• 28:21
  terms
• 28:21
  of
• 28:21
  kind
• 28:21
  of
• 28:21
  movement
• 28:22
  off
• 28:22
  center.
• 28:23
  So
• 28:24
  it's,
• 28:24
  it's
• 28:24
  not
• 28:25
  the
• 28:25
  same
• 28:25
  as
• 28:26
  a,
• 28:27
  as
• 28:27
  a
• 28:27
  conventional
• 28:29
  lure
• 28:30
  where
• 28:30
  it's
• 28:30
  got
• 28:30
  a
• 28:30
  ton
• 28:31
  of
• 28:31
  forward
• 28:31
  momentum.
• 28:32
  But
• 28:33
  if
• 28:33
  once
• 28:33
  you
• 28:34
  get
• 28:34
  the
• 28:34
  action
• 28:34
  down
• 28:35
  and
• 28:36
  especially
• 28:37
  with
• 28:37
  some
• 28:37
  of
• 28:37
  the
• 28:37
  bigger
• 28:38
  ones,
• 28:38
  you
• 28:38
  can
• 28:38
  really
• 28:38
  get
• 28:39
  it
• 28:39
  to
• 28:39
  turn
• 28:39
  side
• 28:40
  to
• 28:40
  side.
• 28:40
  If
• 28:41
  you're
• 28:41
  just
• 28:41
  learning,
• 28:42
  you'll,
• 28:42
  you'll
• 28:42
  notice
• 28:43
  it.
• 28:43
  It
• 28:43
  kind
• 28:43
  of
• 28:43
  looks
• 28:44
  more
• 28:46
  like
• 28:46
  the
• 28:47
  pole
• 28:47
  dancer
• 28:47
  or
• 28:48
  something
• 28:48
  like
• 28:48
  that,
• 28:48
  where
• 28:48
  it's
• 28:49
  a
• 28:49
  little
• 28:49
  bit
• 28:49
  of
• 28:49
  a
• 28:49
  forward
• 28:50
  side
• 28:51
  to
• 28:51
  side
• 28:51
  movement
• 28:52
  and
• 28:53
  it
• 28:53
  takes
• 28:53
  a,
• 28:54
  a
• 28:54
  sharp
• 28:56
  cadence
• 28:57
  with
• 28:57
  a
• 28:57
  short
• 28:57
  strip
• 28:58
  to
• 28:58
  get
• 28:59
  it
• 28:59
  to
• 28:59
  turn
• 28:59
  that
• 29:00
  side
• 29:00
  to
• 29:00
  side
• 29:01
  action.
• 29:01
  And,
• 29:02
  and
• 29:02
  it
• 29:02
  will.
• 29:03
  You
• 29:03
  have
• 29:04
  to
• 29:04
  make
• 29:04
  sure
• 29:04
  your
• 29:04
  whole
• 29:04
  setup
• 29:05
  is,
• 29:05
  is
• 29:05
  tuned
• 29:06
  just
• 29:06
  right
• 29:06
  to
• 29:07
  get
• 29:07
  the
• 29:07
  full
• 29:08
  glide
• 29:08
  out
• 29:08
  of
• 29:08
  it.
• 29:09
  Just
• 29:09
  because
• 29:09
  everything
• 29:10
  is
• 29:10
  so
• 29:11
  precisely
• 29:12
  spaced
• 29:13
  and
• 29:13
  weighted.
• 29:13
  Like
• 29:14
  I
• 29:14
  have
• 29:14
  to
• 29:14
  measure
• 29:14
  my
• 29:15
  weights
• 29:15
  down
• 29:15
  to.
• 29:17
  It's,
• 29:18
  it's
• 29:19
  like
• 29:19
  tenths
• 29:20
  of
• 29:20
  a
• 29:20
  gram
• 29:21
  and,
• 29:21
  and
• 29:21
  the
• 29:21
  spacing
• 29:22
  has
• 29:22
  to
• 29:22
  be
• 29:23
  just
• 29:23
  insanely
• 29:24
  precise.
• 29:24
  I'll.
• 29:25
  I'll
• 29:25
  move
• 29:25
  the
• 29:26
  spacing
• 29:26
  forward
• 29:27
  by
• 29:27
  2
• 29:27
  or
• 29:27
  3
• 29:28
  millimeters
• 29:28
  on
• 29:29
  one

  of
• 29:29
  the
• 29:29
  weights
• 29:30
  and
• 29:30
  the
• 29:30
  action's
• 29:31
  completely
• 29:31
  different
• 29:32
  or
• 29:32
  just
• 29:32
  gone.
• 29:33
  It's,
• 29:33
  it's
• 29:34
  really
• 29:34
  pretty
• 29:34
  wild
• 29:35
  on
• 29:35
  these
• 29:35
  small
• 29:36
  sizes.
• 29:37
  Just
• 29:37
  how
• 29:37
  precise
• 29:37
  you
• 29:38
  have
• 29:38
  to
• 29:38
  be.
• 29:39
  Got
• 29:40
  it.
• 29:40
  And
• 29:40
  so,
• 29:40
  you
• 29:41
  know,
• 29:41
  if,
• 29:41
  if
• 29:41
  folks
• 29:41
  are
• 29:42
  feeling
• 29:42
  comfortable
• 29:43
  that
• 29:43
  they're
• 29:43
  imparting
• 29:44
  the
• 29:45
  correct
• 29:45
  action,
• 29:45
  but
• 29:46
  they're
• 29:46
  not
• 29:46
  quite
• 29:46
  getting
• 29:46
  the
• 29:46
  glide,
• 29:47
  is
• 29:47
  there
• 29:47
  something
• 29:47
  they
• 29:47
  may
• 29:48
  need
• 29:48
  to
• 29:48
  maybe
• 29:48
  tweak
• 29:49
  in
• 29:49
  their
• 29:49
  leader
• 29:49
  setup?
• 29:51
  Just
• 29:51
  making
• 29:51
  sure
• 29:52
  it's
• 29:52
  a
• 29:52
  really
• 29:52
  soft
• 29:53
  leader
• 29:53
  and
• 29:54
  using
• 29:56
  maybe
• 29:56
  going
• 29:57
  down
• 29:57
  a
• 29:57
  tippet
• 29:58
  size,
• 29:58
  making
• 29:59
  sure
• 29:59
  it's
• 30:00
  not
• 30:00
  straight,
• 30:01
  it's
• 30:01
  not
• 30:01
  preventing
• 30:02
  the
• 30:02
  fly
• 30:02
  by
• 30:02
  being
• 30:03
  too
• 30:03
  stiff
• 30:04
  or,
• 30:05
  or
• 30:05
  too
• 30:05
  thick.
• 30:06
  So,
• 30:07
  yeah,
• 30:07
  making
• 30:08
  sure
• 30:08
  that
• 30:08
  that
• 30:08
  last
• 30:09
  section
• 30:09
  is
• 30:09
  really
• 30:10
  limp
• 30:10
  and
• 30:11
  using
• 30:11
  a
• 30:11
  loop
• 30:11
  knot
• 30:12
  and
• 30:13
  nylon
• 30:14
  monofilament.
• 30:15
  Should
• 30:15
  that.
• 30:16
  All
• 30:16
  that
• 30:16
  should
• 30:17
  in
• 30:18
  theory
• 30:18
  get
• 30:18
  everything
• 30:18
  working
• 30:19
  right.
• 30:19
  I've
• 30:20
  had
• 30:20
  a
• 30:20
  couple
• 30:20
  people
• 30:21
  where
• 30:22
  they
• 30:22
  couldn't
• 30:22
  get
• 30:22
  them
• 30:23
  to
• 30:23
  work
• 30:23
  at
• 30:23
  all.
• 30:23
  And
• 30:24
  if
• 30:24
  that
• 30:24
  happens,
• 30:25
  they
• 30:25
  can
• 30:25
  always
• 30:25
  reach
• 30:26
  out
• 30:26
  to
• 30:26
  me
• 30:26
  and
• 30:27
  I'll
• 30:27
  send
• 30:27
  them
• 30:28
  a
• 30:28
  replacement
• 30:28
  and
• 30:29
  go
• 30:29
  test
• 30:29
  it
• 30:29
  before
• 30:30
  I
• 30:30
  do.
• 30:30
  So
• 30:30
  I
• 30:31
  know
• 30:31
  it's
• 30:31
  something,
• 30:32
  you
• 30:32
  know,
• 30:32
  they
• 30:32
  can
• 30:32
  figure
• 30:32
  out
• 30:33
  whether
• 30:33
  it's
• 30:33
  something
• 30:34
  they're
• 30:34
  doing
• 30:34
  or
• 30:34
  the
• 30:35
  fly
• 30:35
  itself.
• 30:36
  But,
• 30:37
  but
• 30:37
  most
• 30:37
  of
• 30:37
  the
• 30:37
  time
• 30:38
  people,
• 30:38
  people
• 30:38
  get
• 30:39
  them
• 30:39
  to
• 30:39
  work.
• 30:40
  Got
• 30:40
  it.
• 30:41
  And
• 30:41
  of
• 30:41
  course,
• 30:41
  I
• 30:41
  know
• 30:41
  you're
• 30:42
  always
• 30:42
  tinkering
• 30:42
  with
• 30:42
  stuff,
• 30:43
  you
• 30:43
  know,
• 30:43
  anything
• 30:43
  kind
• 30:44
  of
• 30:44
  going
• 30:44
  on
• 30:44
  at
• 30:44
  the
• 30:44
  tying
• 30:45
  bench
• 30:45
  or
• 30:45
  on
• 30:46
  the
• 30:46
  fishing
• 30:46
  front.
• 30:46
  You
• 30:46
  want
• 30:47
  to
• 30:47
  share
• 30:47
  with
• 30:47
  folks
• 30:47
  tonight?
• 30:49
  Yeah,
• 30:49
  I've
• 30:49
  got,
• 30:50
  I've
• 30:50
  got
• 30:50
  a
• 30:50
  few,
• 30:51
  a
• 30:51
  few
• 30:51
  new
• 30:51
  things
• 30:51
  in
• 30:52
  the
• 30:52
  works.
• 30:52
  I'm
• 30:53
  excited
• 30:53
  to
• 30:55
  get
• 30:55
  a
• 30:56
  really
• 30:56
  cool
• 30:56
  frog
• 30:56
  fly
• 30:57
  out
• 30:57
  with,
• 30:58
  with
• 30:58
  Blaine
• 30:59
  over
• 30:59
  at
• 30:59
  the
• 30:59
  Chocolate
• 30:59
  Factory
• 31:00
  and
• 31:02
  I.
• 31:02
  I've
• 31:02
  got
• 31:02
  some
• 31:03
  patterns
• 31:03
  with
• 31:03
  Montana
• 31:04
  fly
• 31:04
  and
• 31:04
  I'll
• 31:04
  be
• 31:05
  doing
• 31:06
  some
• 31:06
  more
• 31:06
  with
• 31:06
  them
• 31:06
  as
• 31:07
  well
• 31:07
  in
• 31:07
  the
• 31:07
  near
• 31:07
  future.
• 31:08
  So,
• 31:08
  yeah,
• 31:09
  there's
• 31:09
  plenty
• 31:09
  of.
• 31:10
  Plenty
• 31:10
  of
• 31:10
  stuff
• 31:10
  in
• 31:11
  the
• 31:11
  works.
• 31:11
  My
• 31:11
  problem
• 31:12
  is
• 31:12
  I
• 31:12
  spend
• 31:13
  so
• 31:13
  long
• 31:13
  working
• 31:14
  on
• 31:14
  each
• 31:15
  fly
• 31:15
  pattern.
• 31:16
  I've.
• 31:16
  I've
• 31:16
  been
• 31:17
  working
• 31:17
  on
• 31:17
  this
• 31:17
  frog
• 31:17
  for
• 31:18
  two
• 31:18
  years
• 31:19
  and
• 31:19
  I'm
• 31:19
  still
• 31:20
  making
• 31:20
  little
• 31:20
  changes
• 31:21
  before
• 31:21
  I
• 31:22
  put
• 31:22
  it
• 31:22
  out
• 31:22
  there.
• 31:23
  I
• 31:23
  just.
• 31:23
  I
• 31:24
  want
• 31:24
  things
• 31:24
  to
• 31:24
  be
• 31:24
  perfect
• 31:24
  when
• 31:25
  people
• 31:25
  do
• 31:25
  get
• 31:26
  to
• 31:26
  fish
• 31:27
  with
• 31:27
  the
• 31:27
  stuff
• 31:27
  that
• 31:27
  I
• 31:27
  make,
• 31:29
  which
• 31:30
  is
• 31:30
  why
• 31:31
  the
• 31:31
  spook.
• 31:31
  The
• 31:31
  spook
• 31:32
  took
• 31:32
  so
• 31:32
  long
• 31:33
  to
• 31:33
  get
• 31:33
  to
• 31:33
  market
• 31:33
  as
• 31:34
  well.
• 31:34
  But
• 31:34
  I.
• 31:35
  It's
• 31:35
  worth
• 31:35
  it
• 31:35
  in
• 31:35
  the
• 31:35
  end.
• 31:36
  So
• 31:36
  hopefully
• 31:37
  soon
• 31:37
  I
• 31:37
  was
• 31:38
  hoping
• 31:38
  it
• 31:38
  would
• 31:38
  be
• 31:38
  this
• 31:38
  year,
• 31:38
  but
• 31:39
  probably
• 31:39
  next
• 31:39
  year
• 31:39
  there'll
• 31:40
  be
• 31:40
  a
• 31:41
  couple
• 31:41
  of
• 31:41
  cool
• 31:42
  new
• 31:42
  patterns
• 31:42
  coming
• 31:42
  out.
• 31:43
  Guided.
• 31:44
  Any
• 31:44
  kind
• 31:44
  of
• 31:44
  tools
• 31:45
  or
• 31:45
  materials
• 31:45
  at
• 31:45
  the
• 31:46
  bench
• 31:46
  that
• 31:46
  you
• 31:46
  want
• 31:46
  to
• 31:47
  share
• 31:47
  with
• 31:47
  folks?
• 31:49
  Let
• 31:49
  me,
• 31:50
  let
• 31:50
  me
• 31:50
  think.
• 31:55
  I've
• 31:55
  been
• 31:56
  really
• 31:56
  enjoying
• 31:57
  using
• 31:58
  a
• 31:58
  clear,
• 31:59
  like
• 31:59
  completely
• 32:00
  clear
• 32:02
  angel
• 32:02
  hair
• 32:03
  flash
• 32:04
  that
• 32:04
  doesn't
• 32:04
  have
• 32:04
  any
• 32:05
  sparkle
• 32:05
  to
• 32:05
  it,
• 32:06
  but
• 32:06
  that
• 32:07
  mixes
• 32:07
  really
• 32:07
  well
• 32:08
  with
• 32:09
  other
• 32:09
  materials
• 32:09
  and
• 32:10
  gives
• 32:10
  it
• 32:10
  a
• 32:10
  nice
• 32:10
  sheen
• 32:11
  without
• 32:11
  being
• 32:12
  flashy.
• 32:14
  And
• 32:14
  I've
• 32:14
  kind
• 32:14
  of
• 32:15
  started
• 32:15
  trying
• 32:16
  to
• 32:16
  use
• 32:16
  as
• 32:17
  much
• 32:17
  of
• 32:17
  that
• 32:17
  as
• 32:17
  I
• 32:18
  can
• 32:18
  over
• 32:19
  regular
• 32:19
  flash
• 32:20
  in
• 32:20
  a
• 32:20
  lot
• 32:20
  of
• 32:20
  my
• 32:21
  flies.
• 32:23
  So
• 32:23
  that's
• 32:23
  probably.
• 32:24
  That's
• 32:24
  probably
• 32:25
  the.
• 32:25
  The
• 32:26
  most
• 32:26
  recent
• 32:26
  thing
• 32:26
  I've
• 32:27
  been
• 32:27
  tinkering
• 32:27
  with
• 32:28
  is
• 32:28
  using
• 32:28
  a
• 32:29
  crystal
• 32:29
  clear
• 32:30
  flash
• 32:31
  versus
• 32:31
  something
• 32:32
  that
• 32:32
  actually
• 32:32
  has
• 32:32
  some
• 32:33
  sparkle
• 32:33
  to
• 32:33
  it.
• 32:34
  Interesting.
• 32:34
  And
• 32:35
  who
• 32:35
  makes
• 32:35
  that?
• 32:37
  I
• 32:37
  think
• 32:38
  I
• 32:39
  bought
• 32:39
  it
• 32:39
  from
• 32:39
  an
• 32:40
  embroidery
• 32:40
  shop.
• 32:41
  So
• 32:41
  I.
• 32:41
  I
• 32:41
  don't
• 32:42
  even
• 32:42
  know.
• 32:43
  Fair
• 32:44
  enough.
• 32:44
  And
• 32:45
  will
• 32:45
  folks
• 32:46
  be
• 32:46
  able
• 32:46
  to
• 32:46
  find
• 32:46
  you
• 32:47
  on
• 32:47
  the
• 32:47
  show
• 32:47
  circuit
• 32:47
  in
• 32:47
  2026?
• 32:49
  I'll.
• 32:50
  I'm
• 32:50
  sure
• 32:50
  I'll
• 32:50
  be
• 32:50
  out
• 32:51
  and
• 32:51
  about
• 32:51
  around
• 32:51
  Texas.
• 32:52
  It's
• 32:52
  harder
• 32:52
  to
• 32:53
  get
• 32:53
  out
• 32:53
  because
• 32:53
  I've
• 32:54
  got
• 32:54
  two
• 32:54
  little
• 32:54
  kids,
• 32:55
  so
• 32:55
  I
• 32:55
  don't
• 32:55
  know
• 32:55
  if
• 32:55
  I'll
• 32:56
  be
• 32:56
  traveling
• 32:57
  to
• 32:57
  any
• 32:57
  shows.
• 32:58
  Maybe
• 32:58
  I'll
• 32:58
  go
• 32:58
  back
• 32:58
  to
• 32:58
  the
• 32:59
  Lefty
• 32:59
  Cray
• 32:59
  Tie
• 32:59
  fest
• 33:00
  if
• 33:00
  they
• 33:00
  do
• 33:00
  it
• 33:00
  again.
• 33:02
  But
• 33:02
  I'll
• 33:02
  definitely
• 33:03
  be
• 33:03
  around
• 33:03
  Texas.
• 33:04
  I'll
• 33:04
  do
• 33:04
  shows
• 33:05
  in.
• 33:05
  In
• 33:05
  Dallas
• 33:06
  and.
• 33:07
  And
• 33:08
  just
• 33:08
  all
• 33:09
  over
• 33:09
  the
• 33:09
  state.
• 33:10
  Anywhere
• 33:10
  I
• 33:10
  can
• 33:10
  drive
• 33:11
  to
• 33:11
  easily.
• 33:12
  Yeah.
• 33:12
  Well,
• 33:12
  you.
• 33:12
  Even
• 33:13
  within
• 33:13
  the
• 33:13
  state
• 33:13
  of
• 33:13
  Texas.
• 33:14
  I
• 33:14
  used
• 33:14
  to
• 33:14
  live
• 33:14
  in
• 33:15
  Dallas.
• 33:15
  It's
• 33:15
  like
• 33:15
  saying
• 33:15
  you
• 33:16
  wouldn't
• 33:16
  necessarily
• 33:16
  drive
• 33:16
  to
• 33:17
  El
• 33:17
  Paso,
• 33:17
  right?
• 33:18
  That's
• 33:18
  true.
• 33:18
  That's
• 33:19
  very
• 33:19
  true.
• 33:20
  I
• 33:20
  was
• 33:20
  just
• 33:20
  in
• 33:20
  Dallas
• 33:21
  and
• 33:21
  it
• 33:21
  was
• 33:22
  a
• 33:22
  lot
• 33:22
  of
• 33:22
  driving.
• 33:23
  Yeah.
• 33:23
  So
• 33:24
  is
• 33:25
  there
• 33:25
  anything
• 33:25
  else
• 33:25
  you
• 33:25
  want
• 33:25
  to
• 33:25
  share
• 33:26
  with
• 33:26
  our
• 33:26
  listeners
• 33:26
  tonight?
• 33:26
  Before
• 33:27
  I
• 33:27
  let
• 33:27
  you
• 33:27
  go.
• 33:31
  Let
• 33:31
  me
• 33:31
  think
• 33:32
  about
• 33:32
  it.
• 33:37
  Probably
• 33:37
  not
• 33:38
  off.
• 33:38
  Not
• 33:38
  off
• 33:38
  the
• 33:38
  top
• 33:39
  of
• 33:39
  my
• 33:39
  head.
• 33:39
  I
• 33:39
  can't
• 33:39
  I
• 33:39
  can't
• 33:40
  think
• 33:40
  of
• 33:40
  anything
• 33:40
  for
• 33:40
  that
• 33:40
  one.
• 33:41
  Well,
• 33:41
  there
• 33:41
  you
• 33:41
  go.
• 33:42
  I
• 33:42
  mean,
• 33:42
  you
• 33:42
  were,
• 33:42
  you
• 33:42
  know,
• 33:43
  repacking
• 33:43
  bearings
• 33:44
  on
• 33:44
  a
• 33:44
  trailer
• 33:44
  before
• 33:44
  we
• 33:45
  started
• 33:45
  our
• 33:45
  call.
• 33:45
  I
• 33:45
  was
• 33:46
  thinking
• 33:46
  about,
• 33:46
  I
• 33:46
  was
• 33:47
  thinking
• 33:47
  about
• 33:47
  sharing
• 33:47
  that
• 33:47
  story,
• 33:48
  but
• 33:49
  it
• 33:49
  kind
• 33:49
  of
• 33:50
  diverts
• 33:51
  away
• 33:51
  from
• 33:51
  the
• 33:51
  fly
• 33:51
  tying
• 33:52
  realms.
• 33:52
  Yeah.
• 33:53
  It's
• 33:53
  its
• 33:53
  own
• 33:53
  reward,
• 33:53
  as
• 33:54
  they
• 33:54
  say.
• 33:54
  Right.
• 33:55
  Yeah.
• 33:56
  And,
• 33:56
  and
• 33:57
  so
• 33:57
  folks.
• 33:57
  Yeah,
• 33:58
  yeah.
• 33:58
  And
• 33:58
  so
• 33:59
  if
• 33:59
  folks
• 33:59
  want
• 33:59
  to,
• 34:00
  to,
• 34:00
  you
• 34:01
  know,
• 34:01
  buy
• 34:01
  some
• 34:01
  flies,
• 34:02
  you
• 34:02
  know,
• 34:02
  follow
• 34:03
  your
• 34:03
  adventures
• 34:03
  at
• 34:03
  the
• 34:03
  bison
• 34:04
  on
• 34:04
  the
• 34:04
  water,
• 34:04
  you
• 34:05
  know,
• 34:05
  where
• 34:05
  should
• 34:05
  they
• 34:05
  go?
• 34:06
  Yeah,
• 34:07
  they
• 34:07
  can
• 34:07
  find
• 34:07
  me
• 34:08
  on
• 34:09
  fish,
• 34:09
  chase
• 34:09
  flies
• 34:10
  on
• 34:10
  Instagram.
• 34:11
  My
• 34:11
  website
• 34:12
  is
• 34:12
  www.fishchaseflies.com
• 34:16
  and
• 34:16
  it's
• 34:17
  probably
• 34:17
  easiest
• 34:17
  to
• 34:18
  get
• 34:18
  a
• 34:18
  hold
• 34:18
  of
• 34:18
  me
• 34:18
  through
• 34:19
  Instagram
• 34:21
  and
• 34:22
  then
• 34:22
  you
• 34:22
  can
• 34:22
  also
• 34:22
  contact
• 34:23
  me
• 34:23
  through
• 34:23
  the
• 34:23
  website,
• 34:24
  but
• 34:24
  you
• 34:24
  can
• 34:24
  place
• 34:24
  orders
• 34:25
  through
• 34:25
  there
• 34:25
  or
• 34:26
  if
• 34:26
  you
• 34:26
  reach
• 34:27
  out
• 34:27
  to
• 34:27
  me
• 34:27
  on
• 34:27
  Instagram,
• 34:28
  I'm.
• 34:28
  I
• 34:29
  love
• 34:29
  interacting
• 34:30
  with
• 34:30
  people
• 34:30
  through
• 34:30
  the
• 34:30
  messages
• 34:31
  and
• 34:32
  trying
• 34:32
  to
• 34:32
  figure
• 34:32
  out
• 34:32
  how
• 34:33
  to
• 34:33
  make
• 34:34
  flies
• 34:34
  and
• 34:34
  do
• 34:35
  all
• 34:35
  that
• 34:35
  stuff.
• 34:35
  So,
• 34:36
  yeah,
• 34:36
  any.
• 34:36
  Anything
• 34:37
  at
• 34:37
  all.
• 34:37
  I
• 34:38
  love
• 34:38
  to
• 34:38
  hear
• 34:38
  from
• 34:38
  people.
• 34:39
  Well,
• 34:39
  perfect.
• 34:40
  Well,
• 34:40
  I'll
• 34:40
  drop
• 34:40
  all
• 34:41
  that
• 34:41
  stuff
• 34:41
  in
• 34:41
  the
• 34:41
  show
• 34:41
  notes
• 34:42
  and
• 34:42
  I
• 34:43
  appreciate
• 34:43
  you
• 34:43
  making
• 34:43
  some
• 34:44
  time
• 34:44
  this
• 34:44
  evening,
• 34:44
  especially

  under
• 34:45

• 34:47
  situation.
• 34:48
  And

  I'll
• 34:49
  let
• 34:49
  you
• 34:49
  hop
• 34:50
  so
• 34:50
  you
• 34:50
  can
• 34:51
  get
• 34:51
  all
• 34:51
  the
• 34:51
  grease
• 34:51
  off
• 34:51
  your

• 34:52
  and

  That
