- 2:18Speaker 5: Greetings Hotel. It's been a moment, so I'd like to
- 2:22Speaker 5: first and foremost ask everyone to just take a moment
- 2:26Speaker 5: of reflection. I want to really give thanks and praise
- 2:30Speaker 5: to the One most High, so that we may live
- 2:32Speaker 5: each day daily for the One most divine, and we
- 2:35Speaker 5: may do it tomorrow just as we do it today.
- 2:40Speaker 5: And the meta nature we would say I'm a suet,
- 2:48Speaker 5: We're really just giving thanks and honor and glory and
- 2:55Speaker 5: asking for blessings and abundance at a time where the
- 2:59Speaker 5: world is very, very very challenging, where the world community
- 3:05Speaker 5: is under siege, where our children, our mothers, our fathers,
- 3:17Speaker 5: our daughters, our sons, our aunts, our uncles, our grandmothers,
- 3:22Speaker 5: our grandfathers, our husbands, wives are authentically having their sovereign
- 3:35Speaker 5: human rights challenged, ignored, neglected. So I'm really grateful for
- 3:44Speaker 5: being able to open. And I have to give a
- 3:46Speaker 5: special shout out to our beloved sister Queen Visionary Angela
- 3:55Speaker 5: for just having that vision and that word sound power
- 4:00Speaker 5: to add musical openings like which you were just hearing
- 4:05Speaker 5: in regards to us, speaks highlighting culture, healing, arts, technology
- 4:11Speaker 5: and spirituality through a lens of the House of life
- 4:15Speaker 5: that we know as per arc and I just need
- 4:19Speaker 5: for everyone to just take a really.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Deep breath.
- 4:23Speaker 5: And like hold it, hold that sacred space, and when
- 4:30Speaker 5: you release, you're releasing all of the tension, anger, rage,
- 4:40Speaker 5: so that your body can be enveloped and elevated with
- 4:47Speaker 5: as much peace, as much balance and harmony.
- 4:52Speaker 6: To assist us in.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Knowing what is the best action and the most corrective
- 4:59Speaker 5: manner to handle these challenges. I start there because there
- 5:05Speaker 5: has been so many things that have transpired from the
- 5:11Speaker 5: month of May as we're moving through the month of June,
- 5:15Speaker 5: you know, and May had so many observances around mental
- 5:19Speaker 5: health awareness here in the Virgin Islands. It was a
- 5:23Speaker 5: time where the third week of the month of May
- 5:27Speaker 5: is designated as Virgin Islands African Heritage week, so it's
- 5:36Speaker 5: usually between the nineteenth and the twenty fifth of May
- 5:39Speaker 5: every year. So it incorporates Malcolm X's birthday, and incorporates
- 5:46Speaker 5: United Caribbean Associations Anniversary on the twentieth, and incorporates the
- 5:52Speaker 5: observances of uplifting efforts to move the needle forward around
- 6:00Speaker 5: African Liberation, highlighting not only Africa Day as the African
- 6:06Speaker 5: Union has shifted, but was originally known as African Liberation Day.
- 6:10Speaker 5: When we're liberated, then we can just remove liberation. We're
- 6:15Speaker 5: still in liberation quest mode. So May twenty fifth days
- 6:20Speaker 5: leading up to May twenty fifth are all part of
- 6:24Speaker 5: the African Liberation Day observances, which really envelope the entire
- 6:30Speaker 5: month of May, amongst other international observances international days. This year,
- 6:36Speaker 5: the twenty fifth harmonized with Memorial Day alongside the observances
- 6:44Speaker 5: in the forty eight contiguous US that spread throughout the region.
- 6:48Speaker 6: In the Americas.
- 6:50Speaker 3: For some.
- 6:53Speaker 5: There were highlights navigating around how do we move from
- 6:59Speaker 5: that African liberation uplifting engagement. There were a host of
- 7:05Speaker 5: Pan African summits. This year was the sixty third African
- 7:11Speaker 5: Liberation Day commemoration, specifically through the lens of the work
- 7:17Speaker 5: and efforts of the honorable Osadrifo, doctor Kwame and Kruma,
- 7:22Speaker 5: the first elected president of an independent Republic of Ghana.
- 7:30Speaker 5: And we're going back into nineteen fifty eight, moving to
- 7:33Speaker 5: nineteen sixty three and then what transpired after that time,
- 7:38Speaker 5: and many of the themes were around pan Africanism, the
- 7:45Speaker 5: total liberation and unification of Africa under a scientific socialist government.
- 7:50Speaker 5: That was the focus in the fifties and sixties.
- 7:54Speaker 6: And now we know.
- 7:55Speaker 5: It's sovereign governance that comes with sovereign governance, which means
- 8:04Speaker 5: that jurisprudence, law justice should be sovereign and fair for
- 8:12Speaker 5: our people. It means that our food security and sovereignty
- 8:18Speaker 5: should be equitable and fair for our people, and of course.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Our shared humanity.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It means that our access to clean water, clean air, housing,
- 8:33Speaker 5: those basic elements that we require, not just want, but
- 8:38Speaker 5: that we require to be able to live a balanced,
- 8:43Speaker 5: harmonious life, should be available to our people in harmony
- 8:50Speaker 5: with our shared humanity. Entities that support racism, sexism, classes, terrorism, genocide,
- 9:06Speaker 5: illegal incarceration, human trafficking, enslavement, and other crimes against humanity
- 9:15Speaker 5: should be eradicated, so when we're highlighting these observances from
- 9:20Speaker 5: May moving into June, which has its own iteration around
- 9:26Speaker 5: a national and it's interesting this was during the George Bush,
- 9:33Speaker 5: the second administration, there was a charge, a call through
- 9:38Speaker 5: organizations like the Institute of Caribbean Studies, And we have
- 9:43Speaker 5: to give doctor Claire Nelson her acolades for putting that
- 9:48Speaker 5: particular initiative, along with her colleagues as supporters and other
- 9:53Speaker 5: grassroots academic, communitarian, humanitarian, visuals and organizations highlighting the month
- 10:03Speaker 5: of June as National Caribbean American Heritage Month. And it
- 10:11Speaker 5: has actually spread throughout not just the forty eight contiguous US,
- 10:16Speaker 5: as it was originally established through presidential proclamations and declarations
- 10:23Speaker 5: and resolutions that were supported by congressional representatives, but it
- 10:29Speaker 5: has moved in the region and has been highlighted around
- 10:32Speaker 5: the world in the context of supporting Caribbean heritage wherever
- 10:40Speaker 5: it manifests, because Caribbean heritage is Caribbean civilization, which contributes
- 10:46Speaker 5: to our shared humanity. And I'm pausing for a moment
- 10:52Speaker 5: so that I can really remind our brothers and sisters
- 10:57Speaker 5: that this is a time that really demands and commands
- 11:05Speaker 5: peace and tranquility, however, not a peace and tranquility without action,
- 11:14Speaker 5: not a peace and tranquility of being a doormat or
- 11:19Speaker 5: so passive that no transformative change and improvement inequality of
- 11:26Speaker 5: life for each and every one of us is made
- 11:29Speaker 5: will manifest not just manifests, but balanced harmonious in our manifestation.
- 11:40Speaker 6: It gives me an opportunity.
- 11:41Speaker 5: To share tonight as I have not been able to
- 11:46Speaker 5: for we've had technological issues on my side, We've had
- 11:52Speaker 5: some communicative interference. There are energies that really do not
- 12:00Speaker 5: desire for some of the truths that we speak of
- 12:05Speaker 5: when we're referencing OST Speaks, and for those that are
- 12:09Speaker 5: not that familiar with os Speaks, or if this is
- 12:11Speaker 5: your first time viewing and listening and engaging, I always
- 12:15Speaker 5: encourage brothers and sisters that are seeing this live and
- 12:18Speaker 5: the various platforms, whether it's YouTube or Facebook or any
- 12:24Speaker 5: of the other multiple platforms that King and Queens of
- 12:30Speaker 5: the airwaves makes possible, ask questions, share your reflections. This
- 12:39Speaker 5: is more of a sharing of information, but information that
- 12:44Speaker 5: is guided and grounded in actionable deliverables. That's a real
- 12:49Speaker 5: serious hashtag share that hashtag actionable deliverables. We have reached
- 12:56Speaker 5: a plateau of space. Maybe I'm moving from plateau to
- 13:02Speaker 5: an entire realm where our unity in our community is essential.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Our ability to share and show and live respectfully among
- 13:22Speaker 5: one another is essential and urgent one of the things.
- 13:30Speaker 5: And I'm pulling this one because I know that if
- 13:32Speaker 5: I try to put it on the screen, it's not
- 13:34Speaker 5: going to show up. But I just would like to
- 13:36Speaker 5: highlight one of the themes shared in East Africa or African
- 13:42Speaker 5: Liberation Months and featured during African Liberation Day on May
- 13:47Speaker 5: twenty fifth, pan African Unity and Action, the call for
- 13:55Speaker 5: a Greater Collective Future, focused at fostering economic interaction, sustainable development,
- 14:06Speaker 5: and collective peace and security. I think I'm going to
- 14:10Speaker 5: read that one one more time so that persons can
- 14:14Speaker 5: know what is in the mindset of our global African
- 14:20Speaker 5: brothers and sisters who are sharing a multiplicity of ideas,
- 14:26Speaker 5: a multiplicity of actions, educational initiatives and programs, curricula, assessment tools,
- 14:34Speaker 5: evaluation research, development, economic drivers. Focusing on the various businesses
- 14:43Speaker 5: that not only do they exist, maybe you and I
- 14:47Speaker 5: may not know about them, but when we come together
- 14:50Speaker 5: and share. Brothers and sisters are coming with business plans,
- 14:56Speaker 5: sustainability studies, feasibility ports that are very detailed on what
- 15:04Speaker 5: types of resources are needed and essential to trigger sustainable
- 15:11Speaker 5: transformative growth in our communities that essentially minimize the criminality issue,
- 15:21Speaker 5: the violence issues what people keep referring to as gun violence,
- 15:27Speaker 5: gang violence awareness, etc. But what are the things? What
- 15:31Speaker 5: are the tools? What are the resources that our brothers
- 15:35Speaker 5: and sisters are asking for? Have we actually asked the
- 15:40Speaker 5: youth what they want and listen to what they say?
- 15:46Speaker 5: Are we hearing what our veterans are saying? And when
- 15:50Speaker 5: I say veterans, I'm speaking of anyone that gives their
- 15:53Speaker 5: life their service to their respective countries, especially in times
- 15:59Speaker 5: of war and for militaristic or executive security purposes. Right,
- 16:06Speaker 5: what about our elders? But people like to say the seniors,
- 16:10Speaker 5: the living ancestors. How are we caring for them and
- 16:16Speaker 5: helping them to care for themselves? So I'd like to
- 16:18Speaker 5: read this theme that has been used specifically in East
- 16:24Speaker 5: Africa for African Liberation Day twenty twenty six, and I'm
- 16:31Speaker 5: just reading it directly from this poster Pan African Unity
- 16:36Speaker 5: and Action. The call for a greater collective future focused
- 16:42Speaker 5: at fostering economic interaction, sustainable development, collective peace and security.
- 16:53Speaker 5: And I'm going to eventually post some of these photographs
- 16:58Speaker 5: that were featured from the attacare International Development Organization's network
- 17:08Speaker 5: in that is grounded. It's the childable organization that is
- 17:12Speaker 5: grounded in or I should say, based in the UK,
- 17:17Speaker 5: with representation throughout the global African diasport. So IDO International
- 17:24Speaker 5: has centers representation in the of course, in Uganda, in Kenya,
- 17:32Speaker 5: in the Cameroons, in Asagna, in South Africa, and it
- 17:37Speaker 5: expands through more than six hundred kingdoms, and I think
- 17:40Speaker 5: persons need to hear that. And in addition to that,
- 17:44Speaker 5: alongside what has grown out and within and through IDO
- 17:49Speaker 5: is the global African diaspora kingdom with representation throughout Africa
- 17:56Speaker 5: and the continent in addition to Eurasia, in addition to
- 18:01Speaker 5: Canada on the forty eight contiguous US, the Caribbean is
- 18:05Speaker 5: a very serious stronghold as well as Central America and
- 18:11Speaker 5: representation coming into from South America as well. And I
- 18:14Speaker 5: think it's important to know that this collective peace and security,
- 18:21Speaker 5: this sustainable development and economic drive or focus is essential
- 18:30Speaker 5: to the pan African movement, realm, civilization building and other
- 18:39Speaker 5: actionable deliverables that are linked during And so when we're
- 18:44Speaker 5: saying as speaks, it's a speaks and the other side
- 18:48Speaker 5: is with actionable deliverables.
- 18:53Speaker 6: O speaks is.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Not just for us to converse or discuss or just talk.
- 19:01Speaker 5: It's really grounded on what areas in your community or
- 19:07Speaker 5: the communities that you serve or are a part of,
- 19:12Speaker 5: where you are affecting some degree of change or establishing
- 19:17Speaker 5: institutions irrespective of their size, that are transformative for the
- 19:24Speaker 5: communities that you serve. Where do you volunteer? It may
- 19:29Speaker 5: be volunteers at the right term, because volunteerism has become
- 19:33Speaker 5: an issue where person's always want to get paid for
- 19:36Speaker 5: everything that they do. So let's look at it as
- 19:40Speaker 5: a reciprocal investment. I like them as ris a reciprocal investment.
- 19:48Speaker 5: What is it that you give an offer in your
- 19:51Speaker 5: respective community that has value, has worth, and supports a
- 19:59Speaker 5: need in your respective community, and how is that exchanged
- 20:04Speaker 5: that way? No one will feel used, No one should
- 20:08Speaker 5: feel that they're just giving, given, given, giving, giving, giving,
- 20:12Speaker 5: given giving, and it's not reciprocated.
- 20:15Speaker 6: How do you.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Engage in reciprocal investments, because that term volunteer has come
- 20:24Speaker 5: to mean so many different things that do not always
- 20:28Speaker 5: meet with making persons feel fulfilled or feel that it's
- 20:36Speaker 5: an equitable exchange. And granted, there are going to be
- 20:40Speaker 5: times where you may give more than what you think
- 20:44Speaker 5: you receive, when in actuality you are actually receiving more
- 20:49Speaker 5: than you think that you're giving. And I'm not going
- 20:53Speaker 5: to belabor that point. I just am highlighting that we're
- 20:57Speaker 5: speaking of that principle that most persons that have listened
- 21:01Speaker 5: to us Speaks podcasts in the previous iterations. No, we
- 21:07Speaker 5: speak of the principle, a very feminine, yet harmonious and
- 21:12Speaker 5: balanced principle of my art. And that principle, very ancestral,
- 21:19Speaker 5: ancient principle with contemporary transformative value worth need is grounded
- 21:30Speaker 5: in our ancestral sacred sovereignty that transforms how we live.
- 21:38Speaker 5: I'm going to say that again ancestral ancient sacred technology,
- 21:47Speaker 5: and those that are listening will understand when we say
- 21:50Speaker 5: as Speaks, that's what we're referencing because it connects to
- 21:55Speaker 5: those actionable deliverables. How do we begin to bring these
- 21:59Speaker 5: things in to fruition in our respective communities. I'll give
- 22:05Speaker 5: an example. We have communities in spaces like the Pocomo
- 22:13Speaker 5: community in Kenya. We have been very fortunate and blessed
- 22:21Speaker 5: to have ongoing collective, harmonious opportunities to support their community
- 22:33Speaker 5: under the leadership and royal grounding of His Royal Majesty
- 22:45Speaker 5: King Doctor Makarani Mungasi the Seventh, who in his day
- 22:53Speaker 5: and work is a position a medically trained and certified
- 23:02Speaker 5: credential licensed physician and he made the choice to provide
- 23:12Speaker 5: his services in his home country of Kenya and to
- 23:17Speaker 5: specifically focus on the establishment of health care facilities and
- 23:22Speaker 5: of course having young people have opportunities to train internationally
- 23:29Speaker 5: in medical health fields, some in his tenure as the
- 23:36Speaker 5: Dean at the School of Health Sciences in Medicine at
- 23:42Speaker 5: Hawana University and as well in other international institutions programs clinics,
- 23:51Speaker 5: hospitals and beyond. I think it's important for persons to
- 23:57Speaker 5: find out about the Pocomo and learn what are the
- 24:01Speaker 5: ways that we can begin to support them. And there's
- 24:06Speaker 5: a layer of things, whether it's through education, the support
- 24:10Speaker 5: of establishing and strengthening some of their institutions in the region,
- 24:16Speaker 5: inclusive of yet not limited to the Mau Mau Secondary
- 24:22Speaker 5: Girls' School. And I'm going to pause there for a
- 24:25Speaker 5: minute because persons like mal and I want us to go,
- 24:28Speaker 5: not just mal Mao the revolutionary entities that help with
- 24:35Speaker 5: deliberation notice where we're going, and the sovereign restoration of
- 24:41Speaker 5: the people of Kenya, but the fact that there is
- 24:44Speaker 5: still an institution called the Mau Mau Secondary Girls School
- 24:52Speaker 5: and that they are doing great educational training and educational
- 25:02Speaker 5: and providing educational opportunities for these young women regardless of
- 25:07Speaker 5: the limitations and resource. Therefore, when persons like myself are
- 25:14Speaker 5: in these spaces, alongside my colleagues and comrades and royals
- 25:21Speaker 5: in IDO International, GA d K and other organizations, one
- 25:29Speaker 5: person can do great things, but together.
- 25:34Speaker 6: We can rebuild.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Civilization, nations, community and society. When I'm asking what are
- 25:44Speaker 5: you doing in your community? And again this is something that.
- 25:47Speaker 6: Goes for all of us.
- 25:48Speaker 5: There's brothers and sisters that are doing work in Africa,
- 25:51Speaker 5: Brothers and sisters that are building communities, literally building housing
- 25:56Speaker 5: residential communities in schools and churches and mosques and temples
- 26:04Speaker 5: and clinics and maternity wings for hospitals and providing solar
- 26:09Speaker 5: power sources, water pump systems, inverters, some requiring fuel, but
- 26:18Speaker 5: because of the limitations with even fuel, as we know
- 26:21Speaker 5: this is affecting the Earth.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Persons are moving towards other sources.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Of power to be able to maintain utilities and to
- 26:29Speaker 5: ensure that clean water something is what may appear simple
- 26:35Speaker 5: to our brothers and sisters in the West, but in
- 26:38Speaker 5: other parts of the world does having access to clean water,
- 26:43Speaker 5: making sure the air is clean, making sure that our
- 26:47Speaker 5: brothers and sisters that are being subjected to excessive flooding
- 26:51Speaker 5: or excessive drought or other climate change environmental challenges can
- 26:57Speaker 5: live and thrive. When we speak of AST speaks and
- 27:05Speaker 5: we speak of building a new legacy, that is what
- 27:10Speaker 5: we're speaking to. When you hear us speaking about Pan Africanism,
- 27:14Speaker 5: when we speak about restitution, repatriation, reparatory justice, reparation, sovereignty,
- 27:24Speaker 5: human rights, these are elements that have their own thread
- 27:30Speaker 5: to us.
- 27:32Speaker 6: There is a.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Tapestry that harmonizes, reciprocates, unifies, transforms and strengthens each and
- 27:41Speaker 5: every one of us. And that's part of what I
- 27:46Speaker 5: realize that we together are destined and are to be
- 27:55Speaker 5: authentically respectfully and with integrity, moving towards doing together here
- 28:06Speaker 5: on this side of the Atlantic. There are so many
- 28:11Speaker 5: issues that are transpired. We have persons creating anarchy and instability,
- 28:22Speaker 5: not that there was an instability before. However, it is
- 28:27Speaker 5: to become excessive, as has been manifested, impacting more heavily
- 28:33Speaker 5: in the forty eight contiguous US, and it literally ripples
- 28:38Speaker 5: around the planet while persons are up in arms as
- 28:44Speaker 5: we should be collectively on injustice in legal systems and
- 28:53Speaker 5: justice that is put out for brothers and sisters of
- 28:57Speaker 5: African ancestry for self defense. In contrast to the Eurasian cousins.
- 29:09Speaker 5: When it's self defense, they're let free. With an African
- 29:15Speaker 5: it's seen as an act of terror and they are
- 29:18Speaker 5: incarcerated quite excessively. I don't have to say names. I'm
- 29:25Speaker 5: going to leave that to the wider circle because the
- 29:29Speaker 5: list is long. We have our own brothers and sisters,
- 29:33Speaker 5: and I'm going to bring this right into where I
- 29:36Speaker 5: sit in the paradise that America claims it has established
- 29:44Speaker 5: in the Caribbean, in a colony that has been in
- 29:49Speaker 5: this colonial space since nineteen sixteen by treaty and since
- 29:55Speaker 5: nineteen seventeen by a transfer and purchase of twenty five
- 30:00Speaker 5: million dollars in gold, the most expensive real estate per
- 30:04Speaker 5: acre in the history of properties purchased by the US government.
- 30:12Speaker 5: This little small area geographically at the center between the
- 30:21Speaker 5: forty eight contiguous Central and South America and a wide
- 30:25Speaker 5: occurredan that is legally known as the Virgin Islands of
- 30:30Speaker 5: the United States, but for tourist reasons they'd like to
- 30:33Speaker 5: say US false, and then Virgin Islands second.
- 30:38Speaker 6: But according to the legal.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Documents in the treaty that have not been revoked, it
- 30:46Speaker 5: is the Virgin Islands of the United States. So many
- 30:50Speaker 5: of us in this region say Virgin Islands US, just
- 30:55Speaker 5: so people get it. In this space, we have reached
- 31:04Speaker 5: in the middle of the month of June to nineteen homicides,
- 31:12Speaker 5: which is large for a place that has an island
- 31:16Speaker 5: that is eighty four square miles Saint Croix, thirty two
- 31:24Speaker 5: square miles Saint Thomas, twenty square miles Saint John, and
- 31:33Speaker 5: two square miles Water Island. And while the focus right
- 31:39Speaker 5: now was on an election that is really challenging the
- 31:45Speaker 5: electorate because certain civics and political awareness and political education
- 31:53Speaker 5: on this process has been weaning and intentionally delayed to
- 32:05Speaker 5: create a type of a confusion or haze even around
- 32:10Speaker 5: the people weave the people making the best and most
- 32:14Speaker 5: affective choices. This should sound familiar.
- 32:18Speaker 6: So whether you call it.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Gerrymandering or gentrification or repopulation, or a form of terrorism
- 32:33Speaker 5: that impacts the mind to the point that we think
- 32:40Speaker 5: that nothing is out of order, and those that speak
- 32:46Speaker 5: of things being out of order are usually ostracized, threatened, isolated,
- 32:58Speaker 5: or disappeared. So I'm saying these things from a space
- 33:04Speaker 5: of actionable deliverables that we can do together, so that
- 33:11Speaker 5: what's happening in the forty eight contiguous US we can
- 33:14Speaker 5: support and offer a collective hand of strength. Some people
- 33:24Speaker 5: choose to march and rally, and they should not be
- 33:29Speaker 5: interfered with. Other persons choose to be more stealth like
- 33:36Speaker 5: and should not be interfered with. When you have eight
- 33:42Speaker 5: billion people on the planet in counting, everybody tends not
- 33:46Speaker 5: to do the same thing except breathe and occasionally eat
- 33:55Speaker 5: and occasionally remove waste from the body. For us to
- 34:02Speaker 5: have balance, for us to have harmony, for us to
- 34:07Speaker 5: really implement those principles of my hotist truth, just disorder reciprocity, balance,
- 34:13Speaker 5: divine righteousness, and harmony. We're gonna need to come back
- 34:19Speaker 5: to what will allow us to foster a spiritual transformation
- 34:28Speaker 5: that will positively and with long term sustainable impact, restructure
- 34:39Speaker 5: our economies, our social systems, our political systems, our educational systems,
- 34:50Speaker 5: our environmental systems.
- 34:53Speaker 6: And again, notice what.
- 34:54Speaker 5: I started with, spiritual sustainable transformation. How do we do that?
- 35:04Speaker 5: Because some of our brothers and sisters are so busy
- 35:10Speaker 5: having to mourn their children and their family members, and
- 35:16Speaker 5: there are no rules of engagement. So I'm gonna pause
- 35:22Speaker 5: for a minute so that we go into a high sight.
- 35:25Speaker 5: I was having this conversation with one of my colleagues,
- 35:28Speaker 5: and here there's been like a back forth. It's like
- 35:33Speaker 5: a ping pong, not even tennis, it's not that long.
- 35:37Speaker 6: It's like ping ping, ping ping.
- 35:39Speaker 5: You know, this youth is shot in broad daylight at
- 35:47Speaker 5: a basketball court in the middle of the community. Nobody
- 35:50Speaker 5: sees anything. Nobody winds up, and we recognize and understand
- 35:57Speaker 5: the fear, and we understand and recognize as the lack
- 36:01Speaker 5: of trust in the police and persons in authority who
- 36:08Speaker 5: are usually related to the people that are doing these
- 36:11Speaker 5: particular victimization crime issues. It's not always just someone outside
- 36:17Speaker 5: or these people that people know. And again remember our
- 36:21Speaker 5: community is small here. And then next day, a couple
- 36:27Speaker 5: of days past, someone that they suspected that had something
- 36:31Speaker 5: to do with that, they get shot though.
- 36:34Speaker 6: Persons creating certain.
- 36:37Speaker 5: Contention in the community, in front of a home. Again
- 36:42Speaker 5: before the sun goes down, shot in front of everybody.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Some people wear masks, some don't, so of course people
- 36:52Speaker 5: are stunned, are frozen. And so this is a call
- 37:00Speaker 5: out to the women because just like our brothers will
- 37:07Speaker 5: feel it in their heart and their gut and their
- 37:09Speaker 5: soul because it's their young brethren or their daughters. They're
- 37:17Speaker 5: not us, their aunties, their sons, that they now have
- 37:24Speaker 5: to shift from them being in the living to them
- 37:27Speaker 5: preparing to celebrate their life. And then we have those
- 37:40Speaker 5: that are still amongst the living that for protecting themselves
- 37:45Speaker 5: because of this fear cycle that has been initiated as
- 37:51Speaker 5: a system and an institution for defending themselves against worrying
- 37:59Speaker 5: entities that show hate and diabolical energy towards then and
- 38:11Speaker 5: because they didn't lay down and just take slap up
- 38:14Speaker 5: and beat down and threat our sons. Some of our
- 38:23Speaker 5: daughters are incarcerated with no justice or consideration for what transpired.
- 38:34Speaker 5: So I paused there because again this can be heavy.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Not everyone is ready to have these types of informative sharings.
- 38:44Speaker 5: And again just a perspective, because there's other perspectives. You know,
- 38:49Speaker 5: no parent desires or ever looks forward to laying to
- 38:57Speaker 5: rest their child. And the number of funerals that I
- 39:04Speaker 5: have officiated in that capacity, like officiating a celebration of
- 39:11Speaker 5: life or an old person is a joy because you
- 39:14Speaker 5: get to talk about their life lived and their accomplishments
- 39:17Speaker 5: and the challenges they endured, and their commitment to the
- 39:21Speaker 5: creator and what they did in the community. You have
- 39:24Speaker 5: time to have a eulogy. When it's somebody that's nineteen
- 39:28Speaker 5: and fourteen and twenty five, the eulogy is short and
- 39:34Speaker 5: you end up spending more time talking about what on
- 39:38Speaker 5: Earth led up to this on sudden murder, assassination, execution.
- 39:54Speaker 5: So sometimes when we're having these types.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Of conversations, you know, all of our communities have them.
- 40:00Speaker 5: You know, you've got the gun violence awareness and the
- 40:03Speaker 5: gang violence awareness commissions and organizations and faith based groups
- 40:11Speaker 5: that will gather and we have visials, and we have
- 40:16Speaker 5: the T shirt with the person that has been murdered
- 40:21Speaker 5: on the shirt and boutineer and after all of the
- 40:27Speaker 5: celebration of life and the beautiful sendoff and the recognition
- 40:32Speaker 5: of the life lost prematurely.
- 40:37Speaker 6: That after wake part.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Creates a mental anguish that it exceeds the mental health
- 40:57Speaker 5: and balance says that our people are already exposed to.
- 41:02Speaker 5: So just imagine people are already schizophrenic, already traumatized from
- 41:07Speaker 5: hundreds of near millennia of chaos and trafficking and distortions
- 41:15Speaker 5: in our humanity and diabolical institutions that reframe very negatively
- 41:23Speaker 5: how we operate as humans. And on top of that,
- 41:30Speaker 5: then we have the internalized hatred and the internalized institutions
- 41:37Speaker 5: where it's a parasitic eating away of our very own.
- 41:45Speaker 6: Amongst our own.
- 41:49Speaker 5: So when it happens across race or class, or gender
- 41:56Speaker 5: or sexual preference, whatever it is, it's still humanity parasiting
- 42:04Speaker 5: and eating away in itself. So then the victim so called,
- 42:12Speaker 5: is one portion, and the predator whatever words you'd like
- 42:19Speaker 5: to use, the criminal, the enforce it, whatever term. That's
- 42:26Speaker 5: a whole other mindset that we have to begin to
- 42:29Speaker 5: undo and so it makes me you know, as we
- 42:33Speaker 5: you know, it's very easy to have this discourse and
- 42:37Speaker 5: share different things because these are the types of elements
- 42:42Speaker 5: that affect how we engage on a day to day
- 42:47Speaker 5: basis and what we prioritize. You know, we are no
- 42:51Speaker 5: longer benefiting from only reacting to things from external stimuli.
- 43:00Speaker 5: We know that there's criminality. We know that people are
- 43:04Speaker 5: kidnapping people's children, and we know people are snatching people.
- 43:07Speaker 6: For body parts.
- 43:08Speaker 5: We know we know there's prostitution, We know that there's
- 43:13Speaker 5: gang warfare, gun trafficking, human trafficking that still exists. You know,
- 43:20Speaker 5: people are still speaking of that their slave markets, not
- 43:24Speaker 5: only in Africa.
- 43:26Speaker 6: In the world.
- 43:29Speaker 5: Persons have thought that this has become, has maintained, not become,
- 43:36Speaker 5: has continued to be tolerated, and prayer with actionable deliverables
- 43:48Speaker 5: is essential. Transformative actions that support peace and tranquility are essential.
- 44:00Speaker 5: As we speak, in the next several hours, there will
- 44:07Speaker 5: be a continuum a day too, if you will, of
- 44:12Speaker 5: the next steps gathering. And I want to make sure
- 44:15Speaker 5: that I share that part because this is again, all
- 44:19Speaker 5: of this is happening, all of these other realities. You
- 44:22Speaker 5: know we've got the World Cup going on. You have
- 44:25Speaker 5: some referees cheating, let me rephrase, some referees executing questionable
- 44:33Speaker 5: actions and calls in the game that are affecting the outcomes.
- 44:38Speaker 5: So it's creating animosity even in what was supposed to
- 44:42Speaker 5: be sportsmanlike conduct in a World Cup, in authentic football soccer.
- 44:54Speaker 5: We're grateful that today was a day that had celebratory activities,
- 44:59Speaker 5: whether persons were involved in the Obama Presidential Centers grant
- 45:05Speaker 5: opening which was star studded, and persons were really able
- 45:10Speaker 5: to be in a positive rama celebration. Although you have
- 45:14Speaker 5: other persons that questions certain things that happened during that presidency,
- 45:20Speaker 5: specifically in the spaces of that specifically with Libya amongst
- 45:24Speaker 5: other areas. But the good news, people were able to
- 45:28Speaker 5: celebrate and there was some elevation of the spirit in
- 45:33Speaker 5: a positive way. We already know that New York has
- 45:38Speaker 5: become its own civilization after a fifty plus year dry
- 45:47Speaker 5: spell for the New York Knicks. So go next, make
- 45:51Speaker 5: sure I cover that part as well. And as I
- 45:57Speaker 5: said in Ghana today which is for them now yesterday,
- 46:05Speaker 5: there has been a there are convenings and I want
- 46:12Speaker 5: to make sure that I call it what they gave
- 46:16Speaker 5: it to me as the next steps. Yeah, the next
- 46:19Speaker 5: steps is a convening a high level consultative conference on
- 46:28Speaker 5: the next steps to the landmark United Nations Resolution A
- 46:35Speaker 5: res eighty. Make sure I give it right two point fifty.
- 46:40Speaker 5: You can go online and look for it declaring notice
- 46:43Speaker 5: the language that's used, declaring the trafficking of enslaved Africans
- 46:51Speaker 5: and racialized chattel enslavement of Africans as the gravest crime
- 46:59Speaker 5: against humanity. I'm going to read that one more time
- 47:03Speaker 5: because this is what's going on while we're having these
- 47:06Speaker 5: reality shifts in our respective home spaces, places of residents,
- 47:12Speaker 5: places where we recreate, worship and live. Okay, this is
- 47:17Speaker 5: a conference being hosted in Ghana on the invitation of
- 47:24Speaker 5: His Excellency, President John Mohammad of the Republic of Ghana,
- 47:31Speaker 5: alongside partnerships with Kara Kam, the Caribbean community and their
- 47:37Speaker 5: heads of state. Many of the heads of state are there,
- 47:40Speaker 5: inclusive of her Excellency Prime Minister Mia A. More Motley
- 47:46Speaker 5: of Barbados, along with a wide delegation at this representation
- 47:52Speaker 5: from some of the finest upright minds and practitioners and
- 47:59Speaker 5: active and grassroots organizers and academicians and community as well
- 48:07Speaker 5: as intellectual scholars. And then some ambassadors, et cetera, et cetera,
- 48:13Speaker 5: and royals from the Caribbean, Central and South America, the
- 48:19Speaker 5: forty eight contiguous US in Canada, Eurasia, Africa, the world
- 48:26Speaker 5: are present. So I just need for persons to be
- 48:29Speaker 5: on top of this. So I'm gonna say it again.
- 48:31Speaker 5: This Next Step Conference is the Consultative Conference on the
- 48:38Speaker 5: Next Steps of the landmark United Nations Resolution a Res.
- 48:46Speaker 5: Eighty two fifty eight zero slash two five zero, declaring
- 48:52Speaker 5: the trafficking of enslaved Africans and racialized chattel enslavement of
- 49:03Speaker 5: Africans as the gravest crime against humanity. And Day two
- 49:10Speaker 5: is going to start in a few hours, and I
- 49:14Speaker 5: encourage persons to either look on the Odd Speaks Facebook page.
- 49:20Speaker 5: I will do my best to make sure that the
- 49:22Speaker 5: links are available there, but you can easily just google
- 49:25Speaker 5: Next STEPSKANA twenty twenty six, and I'm very sure that
- 49:29Speaker 5: you will be able to find that information. And I'm
- 49:33Speaker 5: hoping that it's not just that they put it up live,
- 49:36Speaker 5: but that they will keep it up so persons that
- 49:39Speaker 5: are unable to watch at a particular time in the day.
- 49:43Speaker 5: You know, let's say nine to four in Akah. Let's
- 49:49Speaker 5: say nine is going to be about four in the
- 49:53Speaker 5: morning East Coast time, so for those persons that are
- 49:57Speaker 5: tuning in. And I know that snippets are going to
- 50:00Speaker 5: have been made available on caracom's website and specifically on
- 50:05Speaker 5: the care Com Reparations Commissions up dating site and their
- 50:09Speaker 5: YouTube pages, along with the Caribbean Pan African Networks site,
- 50:15Speaker 5: as well as the Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago,
- 50:20Speaker 5: as well as the Caribbean Rastafari Organization and others. And
- 50:25Speaker 5: I'm saying these things so that persons can and I'm
- 50:29Speaker 5: saying it is slow because it's important to know. All
- 50:34Speaker 5: of these things are relatable. All of these gatherings give
- 50:40Speaker 5: rise to how we prepare to implement actionable deliverables so
- 50:46Speaker 5: that they will stop disappearing our children, they will start
- 50:53Speaker 5: to respect the lives of people of African ancestry just period.
- 51:00Speaker 5: Because our shared humanity demands that if one of our
- 51:07Speaker 5: sons or daughters defends themselves. Because this isn't the first
- 51:11Speaker 5: time that a child of African ancestry defended themselves in
- 51:18Speaker 5: inform that led to the death of the predator attacking them,
- 51:28Speaker 5: and they were found guilty for defending themselves from a predator.
- 51:35Speaker 5: This is not new, this is systemic. And we can scream, well,
- 51:46Speaker 5: march perhaps even burned down a few things. And unless
- 51:52Speaker 5: we can affect transformative change to a spirited, firm, harmonious
- 52:03Speaker 5: and balanced course with actionable deliverables, and to keep saying that,
- 52:10Speaker 5: it will not change and we will continue to be
- 52:14Speaker 5: in a space of mourning. M ou are inn I
- 52:20Speaker 5: ing make sure I don't get misunderstood with that being said,
- 52:28Speaker 5: and I would again encourage those that are listening. I
- 52:31Speaker 5: am grateful to be able to just share a few
- 52:35Speaker 5: reflections commentaries. There's a lot that's going on, a lot
- 52:40Speaker 5: that's happening in our space.
- 52:42Speaker 6: I'm encouraging.
- 52:43Speaker 5: Just as I started, we give thanks and praise to
- 52:46Speaker 5: the One most high. We live each day daily for
- 52:49Speaker 5: the one most divine, and we shall do it tomorrow
- 52:54Speaker 5: just as we do it today. We're doing all that
- 52:59Speaker 5: we can to keep that energet that energy that supports
- 53:05Speaker 5: what we share. That culture heals humanity. Land is our
- 53:10Speaker 5: foundation and spiritual harmony unifies us. And when we speak
- 53:14Speaker 5: of ast speaks building a new legacy, we're speaking to
- 53:19Speaker 5: a lens because it's not just me.
- 53:22Speaker 6: I couldn't do this alone.
- 53:24Speaker 5: I couldn't bring all of this to anyone by myself.
- 53:28Speaker 5: You might just see me in this space and this
- 53:32Speaker 5: virtual platform, But this is through a lens of ancestors
- 53:38Speaker 5: upon ancestors, guided and guarded by the Almighty to even
- 53:45Speaker 5: give me strength and wisdom and humility to be able
- 53:50Speaker 5: to say some of these things that many of our
- 53:53Speaker 5: brothers and sisters would like to say and do not
- 53:57Speaker 5: have the ability to do so. Speak for the voiceless.
- 54:02Speaker 5: We act for those that were shunned and ostracized for
- 54:08Speaker 5: acting to uphold and maintain the principles of truth, justice,
- 54:16Speaker 5: or do reciprocity balance divine righteousness and harmony? No matter what,
- 54:21Speaker 5: how did Malcolm X say it? By any means necessary?
- 54:28Speaker 5: How did Marcus Garvey say it? One God, one aim,
- 54:34Speaker 5: one destiny? And we in the twenty first century pushed
- 54:38Speaker 5: that one Africa. When we're saying Africa, we're speaking of Africa,
- 54:42Speaker 5: the twelve million square miles of the continent and everywhere
- 54:48Speaker 5: that Africa has spread, which is global. Wherever we go,
- 54:54Speaker 5: we bring that same ancestral ancient say grid sovereign tradition.
- 55:03Speaker 5: You see the letters, can you hear them? So when
- 55:08Speaker 5: we say O speaks and I give thanks again the
- 55:12Speaker 5: first and third Thursday of each month here with the
- 55:18Speaker 5: Kings and Queens of the airwaves, I'm grateful to the
- 55:23Speaker 5: team for the support and the energy. I encourage us
- 55:29Speaker 5: to stay vigilant, firm, harmonious, and work on keeping our
- 55:37Speaker 5: heart as light as a feather, irrespective of the challenges.
- 55:45Speaker 6: That are affecting all of us.
- 55:47Speaker 5: Let's look at one another and treat one another with grace,
- 55:53Speaker 5: and take some deep breaths and hold sacred space for everyone,
- 56:01Speaker 5: and for those that are experiencing great loss, we keep
- 56:06Speaker 5: them in prayer with action, and we work towards having
- 56:11Speaker 5: transformative solutions that authentically restore our sovereignty in all ways. Again,
- 56:21Speaker 5: as we start in peace, we move forward and close
- 56:25Speaker 5: tonight's broadcasts with the breath of life and respecting our
- 56:34Speaker 5: houses of life. Again, thank you for listening and tuning
- 56:38Speaker 5: in with Queen Mother Doctor Transera here on our speaks,
- 56:45Speaker 5: building a new legacy and honoring our house of life. Internally,
- 56:53Speaker 5: externally and with the guidance of the Almighty devolunte we'll
- 57:00Speaker 5: speak again, So blest thanks.
- 57:06Speaker 2: There's horizon, vulture, horizon, healing, flowing, healing, fluent, heritage, living heritage, living.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Spirit, knowing, spirit, knowing, stream, Mother speaking, doctor Genie Beaker that.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Girul is streaming, the world is listen, green mother speaking.
- 57:25Speaker 6: But the Genie speaker, that.

- 57:39Speaker 7: spiritual wisdom, all life, love and sharp every person, your
- 57:44Speaker 7: person day.
- 57:45Speaker 6: Tune in life at b m
- 57:47Speaker 2: PSDs compel device thissky, we rise, we see, We
