- 0:19and Scott Moskowitz. Hey, howdy. Welcome back
- 0:27to No ID, North Idaho's mainstream narrative
- 0:30deconstruction. I'm Scott. Hello, Internet. I'm
- 0:34Paul. Welcome back good to be here. How you doing
- 0:37Scott? I'm just enjoying this fantastic weather
- 0:42Which is I think the exact same thing we said
- 0:44last week because boy has summer arrived early
- 0:47It's it's been pretty lovely though. I've been
- 0:50very very lovely No complaints here for once.
- 0:55Okay show over Hey efficiency, there we go we
- 1:01find that we've been aiming for it for a while
- 1:03we finally finally found it turns out the trick
- 1:06was to just Talk about the weather and sports
- 1:10and the weather. Yeah sports and the weather,
- 1:13which that was what the, you know, always at
- 1:15the racketeer. That's what we did. Sports and
- 1:18the weather. Wait a minute. That was the secret
- 1:20sauce every time, you know, sports and the weather
- 1:22just when of course you could peel your eyes
- 1:26away from the 25 TVs all showing ESPN, the Ocho.
- 1:31Ooh. Ooh. But dodge ball on ESPN, the Ocho that
- 1:34that was what I came for. Came for the cigar
- 1:36stage with the dodge ball. Well, that sounds
- 1:39like something you pay double for that kind of
- 1:43action cotton that is Exactly what a townie would
- 1:47say. Oh You are we gonna start we're gonna start
- 1:51with just open up with this. Okay, that's why
- 1:53of course. That's fine there's a Publication
- 1:58up. I'm I don't know if I think they distribute
- 2:00with like all the way down to Moscow Moscow and
- 2:04all the way up to the border basically I don't
- 2:07know if it's further than that, but the People's
- 2:09Pen, it's a publication, a liberty -minded publication.
- 2:12How would you sum it up? I would sum it up as
- 2:17an alternative print media if I was sanitizing
- 2:23it, but it is a conservative leaning newspaper
- 2:27that comes out every, I want to say once a month.
- 2:32Actually, I've been subscribing to it for...
- 2:34Gosh, I don't know for years, we advertised in
- 2:36it too for a long time when I was running the
- 2:38racketeer. Just like everything, I disagree with
- 2:41probably 40 % or more of what's in here, but
- 2:45they get it right more than the other guys. And
- 2:48it's nice to have a different perspective. So
- 2:50I've been a supporter of the People's Pen for
- 2:52quite some time. And I believe 2020 might have
- 2:57been the first year of its publication. It's
- 2:59relatively new, isn't it? It is. Yeah. I can't
- 3:03tell you how old it is exactly, but I want to
- 3:05say it's 2020, 2021. I know that by the time
- 3:08I got the racketeer up and running, the publication
- 3:11was also up and running because it had a presence
- 3:15in my lounge pretty much since the racketeer
- 3:17was a thing. Well, and I was trying to think
- 3:21because the reason we're bringing it up is because
- 3:23in the latest issue that came out last week,
- 3:25there is an interview with Paul and myself about
- 3:28our show and the title of The article is townies
- 3:32and transplants. So we were kind of joking about
- 3:34that and the notion of the word townie. Paul
- 3:37and I think of it as a pejorative, although the
- 3:39Internet seems to at a glance disagree. It's
- 3:43only a mild pejorative. If you asked chat, GTP,
- 3:47I disagree. I've always used it as a pejorative,
- 3:51although I will admit I learned something new
- 3:53today where apparently I've been using it wrong
- 3:56as far as context goes. Not entirely wrong, but
- 4:00wrong enough. But I don't care. I'm going to
- 4:02keep using it my way. We've always used it as
- 4:06a descriptor, a pejorative descriptor for people
- 4:08who, well, who live in town versus those of us
- 4:11who live not in town and don't like the hustle,
- 4:14the bustle, the traffic, the bullshit or the
- 4:16politics. Apparently townies is slightly different.
- 4:20Well, yeah when we plugged it into the ultra
- 4:22net it came back a townie is an informal term
- 4:24for a person who is a long -term or lifelong
- 4:26resident of a particular town especially in contrast
- 4:29to people who are temporary or newly arrived
- 4:31like students tourists or transplants so hence
- 4:33the townies or transplants title and the editor
- 4:36of the of the newspaper who did the interview
- 4:38he likes illiteration as editors and content
- 4:42creators often do Yeah, and that was the angle
- 4:46that Joel was going for on this was because I'm
- 4:49I guess I'm guess who's the townie in this in
- 4:53this one. It's me. I'm the townie and Scott is
- 4:56the transplant So that's the angle that Joel
- 4:59wanted to go with so I got slapped with the townie
- 5:02moniker And I'm telling you what I'm feeling
- 5:03a little grumpy about it. Well, it was cool though
- 5:06is it was fun to you know It was fun to sit down
- 5:10it with a some because normally like we're not
- 5:12doing it We're not interviewing people. We're
- 5:14just we're we're dissecting the clips. We're
- 5:16deconstructing the mainstream So it was a I liked
- 5:19I liked the change of pace format where just
- 5:21a third party was asking us questions about us
- 5:24about Us it's not something I normally do is
- 5:27sit down and answer questions about me me Yeah,
- 5:31but it's one of the things we do like best I
- 5:33mean we'd never admit it publicly, but you know
- 5:36who doesn't like talking about themselves, but
- 5:38Enough about me. Let's talk about me. Well, I
- 5:43pretty much carried that thing, really. Yeah.
- 5:46Well, you know, you're the townie. Shit, I don't
- 5:52have my bell. Hold on. Good for you. OK, where
- 5:56should we start this week? Lots of it was sort
- 5:59of an interestingly slow newsweek, I guess. Like
- 6:02there was a couple. Yeah. Well, usually we both
- 6:06have. Usually I'm at least a little bit useful
- 6:09and I can bring somewhere in between two and
- 6:11five articles to you in a week, usually more
- 6:13like two or three, but they're always good. There
- 6:17has been not much to work with this week. I think
- 6:22mainly it's because the I've been algo'd. I think
- 6:26maybe we all are being algo'd into the election
- 6:29season. It's primary season, baby, whoop whoop.
- 6:32A week from today, Tuesday, May 19th, is the
- 6:35Idaho State primary. So across the state, everybody
- 6:38will be casting ballots. Well, everybody who
- 6:40wants to vote will be casting ballots for who
- 6:42they want to see run as the Republican, if they
- 6:45are a Republican or who they want to see run
- 6:47as the Democrat, if they are a Democrat, so on
- 6:49and so forth. But it's kind of a big deal. in
- 6:53Idaho because lots of Democrats have switched
- 6:56over and have put an R next to their name. So
- 6:59that's how they're trying to win elections in
- 7:01Idaho now. They're kind enough, though, to still
- 7:05let us know where they're coming from. So when
- 7:07the phony baloney Republicans put out material,
- 7:10they say stuff like, it's D -Day. Absolutely.
- 7:15Oh, I mean, if you so this is again, if you know
- 7:17what to look for, and you are paying attention,
- 7:19it is so front and center easy. One of the ads
- 7:23that they're running the NIR, the NIR is leading
- 7:26this up and NIR is spread out across like 12
- 7:29different organizations that are all affiliated
- 7:31with NIR. They're the same people, they're funded
- 7:33by the same people, they're backed and organized
- 7:36by the same people, but they have names like,
- 7:38like, you know, Kootenay County corruption, or
- 7:41rigged red card or Save Kootenai County or things
- 7:46of or some of some of them are even worse. They're
- 7:49like Patriots front type blah blah blah or you
- 7:52know people who love America dot ink It's so
- 7:58bad but the North Idaho Republicans and I are
- 8:01there it's all them and Through them and one
- 8:05of their favorite things to say right now if
- 8:07you go right to their Facebook page, they're
- 8:10saying I'm paraphrasing, but it's basically don't
- 8:15let the extremists take away your freedoms by
- 8:18fighting extremism. Just protect your freedom.
- 8:20It's something along those lines. Now I'm actually,
- 8:22I'm going to have to look it up because it's
- 8:23so absurd and it's beyond the pale. And if you
- 8:27didn't know any better, you would think the way
- 8:29that it's phrased, you would think, Oh my gosh,
- 8:30they must, these, they must be conservative because
- 8:33they're talking about preserving our freedom
- 8:36by fighting extremists. Sorry, wanting their
- 8:38freedom. Did you say preserve? To pervert? To
- 8:43pervert. But ironically, and sadly, these folks
- 8:47are the ones who steadily march the government
- 8:52forward. I mean, these are the people who never
- 8:55met a tax they didn't like, they never met a
- 8:56levy they wouldn't vote for, they never met a
- 8:58government agency that they would not keep. The
- 9:03people that they call extremists are actually
- 9:05the people who are like, yeah, maybe we should...
- 9:07claw back our own money. Let's tax our, let's
- 9:10tax people less. Let's have a smaller government.
- 9:12Now, you know, the folks on the other side aren't
- 9:15perfect. Nobody's perfect, but the NIR are downright
- 9:19disingenuous and it's absolutely absurd. Man,
- 9:24let's see if I can find it. Cause it's been all
- 9:26over the place. Oh, okay. Right. Right now, right
- 9:31now our freedom is under attack by extremism.
- 9:35That's how they're saying it. Our freedom is
- 9:37under attack by extremism. Well, that's the correct
- 9:40statement. It's just that they're the they're
- 9:42the ones. Actually, I would make the argument
- 9:49that the North Idaho Republicans, they're they
- 9:51are not extremists at all. They are because they're
- 9:54not hardcore leftists. And the way we think of
- 9:56them is like where you're from California, where,
- 9:58you know, there's really hardcore leftists like
- 10:02they they're straight up about socialists and
- 10:04communists and things like that. A lot of the
- 10:06North Idaho Republicans are not that. A few of
- 10:08them are, closetedly. But most of them are not.
- 10:12What they are, I think, is better described as
- 10:16NPCs. They are bland. They are, they go with
- 10:20the wind. They are the people who, they are the
- 10:23Tories. I would describe them as the Tories during
- 10:27the American Revolution. The people who went
- 10:29out there and fought over taxation without representation
- 10:33and having to have troops in their house and
- 10:36things like that. Then they had their neighbors,
- 10:39because you realize most of us who know our history
- 10:41know that the American Revolution and the so
- 10:44-called patriots, the American patriots who fought
- 10:47in that revolution and supported it and ran it
- 10:50and all that, they were the minority of the population.
- 10:54There was a huge swath of the population that
- 10:55kind of just sat on the fence and rode it out.
- 10:57and didn't take one side or the other, but there
- 10:59was also a significant portion of the population
- 11:01that were the Tories. They were the, they supported
- 11:04the English crown or just were anti agitation.
- 11:12That's NIR. NIR are the Tories. They are the,
- 11:15they're the neighbor who would call on you, call
- 11:18you out if you had a garage sale during COVID.
- 11:20They are the people who wore the masks, who got
- 11:23double, triple, quadruple vast, who would have
- 11:25made you do it too if they thought they had the
- 11:27majority up here, but they didn't. So they couldn't
- 11:30attempt some of the things they would have otherwise.
- 11:33They are the people who will say, well, just
- 11:35one more tax. It's only one more percent this
- 11:37year. It's only two more percent this year. It's
- 11:40only one more government agency. It's only one
- 11:42more bureaucrat. And then 10 years later, the
- 11:44budget has gone up 10 times and it's not enough
- 11:48for them. Those are the kind of people they are.
- 11:52And others like myself who agitate or less government
- 11:57are considered, well, you know, ne 'er -do -wells,
- 12:01malcontents, and agitators by these kinds of
- 12:03people. Actually, maybe even best described as
- 12:06the mayor of the town that was occupied by the
- 12:10communists in Red Dawn. That's who these people
- 12:12are. Personified by the mayor. Yeah, now Dan
- 12:17Guggen is personification of that. Then, you
- 12:18know, the communists drop in, take over half
- 12:20of America, occupy all the towns. Dan Guggen
- 12:23stays as mayor and works with them. I am the
- 12:26mayor. Keep the peace. That's the kind of people
- 12:28these the NIR is. I think because I've used so
- 12:33there's there you just mentioned that that was
- 12:35Dan Guggen from that city council meeting going,
- 12:37I am the I am the mayor. And a moment ago, I
- 12:41played to pervert, which was Governor Brad Little
- 12:44during the State of the State. Address he was
- 12:48trying to say that he wants to preserve Idaho,
- 12:51but as you heard it came out as pervert to pervert
- 12:54I've got a message from Sir Ducifer who is the
- 13:00senior a senior producer with Alex Jones's operation
- 13:03and Sir Ducifer said Try to work in short intros
- 13:08or quips or rhetorical questions before dropping
- 13:11ISOs as they sometimes come out of nowhere So
- 13:15it's a good reminder that not everyone, to understate
- 13:20the case, not everyone hears every show or even
- 13:23close. So there's, you know, for the Kevin Killians
- 13:27of the world, forgive me, I mean, I know there
- 13:29are people who already, like, well, we know,
- 13:31man, you know, we know that's Governor Little.
- 13:34Well, but not everybody does and not everyone's
- 13:36hearing everything. And so it's good to reset
- 13:38from time to time. make sure that there's context
- 13:41to the stuff that we're throwing in here, because
- 13:43we know, but a lot of times maybe those who it
- 13:46catches their ear, they don't. So it's a good,
- 13:49I appreciate Sir Ducifer's reminder that we should
- 13:52be giving context to these things more than we
- 13:55do. Yeah. Firm but fair. Sir Ducifer also sent
- 14:01a very strange story that you, when I mentioned
- 14:05it to you before we started here, you were like,
- 14:06Oh yeah, I remember that. But so I didn't know
- 14:08anything about it. But I went and pulled in the
- 14:11read. It's it's relevant again because just a
- 14:15month or two ago it was back in the news because
- 14:17the perpetrator of what I'm about to play was
- 14:21released on parole and is now back in Kootenai
- 14:24County. I believe he's in either Post Falls or
- 14:26Coeur d 'Alene living with like, you know, an
- 14:29ankle monitor or whatever, but he is not in prison
- 14:30any longer. And I am speaking of Kyle Odom and
- 14:34Sir Ducefer sent me this story because Well,
- 14:37you'll hear why in a moment. From our North Idaho
- 14:39newsroom, the man accused of shooting a Coeur
- 14:41d 'Alene pastor is tonight in the Kootenay County
- 14:44jail. 30 year old Kyle Odom facing attempted
- 14:47murder charges for shooting Pastor Tim Remington
- 14:50six times. Now this is from 10 years ago. This
- 14:53is or nine years. This is the original story
- 14:55when it actually happened. This was from 2016.
- 14:58Shooting Pastor Tim Remington six times. KXY4's
- 15:02Brittany Parris working for you now. She's live
- 15:04in our newsroom with that. you It's been a month
- 15:08since a judge in Washington D .C. ordered Kyle
- 15:11Odom to be returned to Idaho to face those attempted
- 15:14murder charges. Odom was booked into the Kootenai
- 15:17County jail around 2 this afternoon. This is
- 15:20his booking photo. Odom was arrested by Secret
- 15:22Service agents two days after he allegedly shot
- 15:25Pastor Tim Remington in the parking lot of the
- 15:28altar church on March 6th. Surveillance video
- 15:30shows Odom was armed inside the church before
- 15:33the shooting. He was then on the run for two
- 15:35days until Well, he was caught throwing items,
- 15:38including flash drives over the White House fence.
- 15:41Police say Odom was able to board a plane to
- 15:43Boise, Idaho to get to D .C. Odom will not face
- 15:46charges there. Pastor Tim Remington is slowly
- 15:49recovering from the shooting. He made his first
- 15:51public appearance in front of his congregation
- 15:53last weekend, saying this is a community that
- 15:56stands up for God. So I'm going to try to stitch
- 15:58this together to the extent that I understand
- 16:01this story because it's a weird one. The pastor
- 16:06Remington who was still an active pastor at the
- 16:09altar church was shot six times by Odom who was
- 16:14a former he was either a sharpshooter or he got
- 16:17like commendations from the military for went
- 16:19for his his marksmanship so my understanding
- 16:23his he has a military background was an expert
- 16:26marksman and was sort of known as like a smart
- 16:28guys on the Dean's List at Boise State I might
- 16:33be getting the details not quite correct here,
- 16:34but something along those lines. And he had to
- 16:37he went on this. He went and hunted down basically
- 16:42Pastor Remington because Kyle Odom was convinced
- 16:45that Pastor Remington was a was a Martian, like
- 16:49was essentially like one of the reptilians. And
- 16:52when shot him six times with a 45, including
- 16:54once in the head. And if you watch, if you look
- 16:57at Pastor Remington now, it's you can't it's
- 17:00like you can't even tell that ever happened.
- 17:02But then there was a manifesto. Okay, so here's
- 17:04the next clip that will start to tie some of
- 17:07it together, I guess. Attempted murder, mind
- 17:10control, and Martians. Well, he faced a judge
- 17:14calm and collected. The man accused of shooting
- 17:16a Coeur d 'Alene pastor appeared in Kootenai
- 17:18County Court for the first time since being extradited
- 17:21from Washington, D .C. last Friday. Kyle Odom
- 17:24is accused of ambushing Pastor Tim Remington
- 17:27of the altar church, shooting him six times in
- 17:30March. Remington spent days in critical condition
- 17:32with gunshot wounds to his arm, hip and head.
- 17:35For someone who believed a pastor in Coeur d
- 17:38'Alene was being controlled by Martians, you
- 17:40would almost expect to see a visible difference
- 17:43as he sat in court today. Instead, he answered
- 17:46the questions the judge gave him calmly. And
- 17:49then when he was done, he was quietly escorted
- 17:51out of the room by deputies. We've seen his picture
- 17:55and heard the stories of how Kyle Odom, accused
- 17:58of attempted murder, believed Martians were controlling
- 18:01key leaders of the country and the world. So
- 18:05what popped into my head, I got one more here
- 18:06to tie it together. What popped into my head
- 18:10was Ryan McClintock, which was not exactly -
- 18:13I was gonna ask if Ryan McClintock and Kyle Odom
- 18:18are related. I was just waiting for the right
- 18:21time. It seems like they are sort of in some
- 18:25sort of spirit where they're like, uh, the reptilians
- 18:27are in control. Doesn't anyone noticing this?
- 18:30Hello. I guess I have to take action. And then,
- 18:32but what was okay on some of these old videos,
- 18:35like I said, these are, you know, 10 years old,
- 18:37six years old, these old reports, the comments
- 18:41sections were full of hundreds of comments of
- 18:44people going like, Oh, yeah, no, Kyle Adams.
- 18:46Right. Like this. He is a reptile. Like, how
- 18:48do you get shot in the head with a 45 and shot
- 18:50six times with a 45? Like, of course, yeah, the
- 18:53Martian just walks away from it and not only
- 18:55walks away from it, gets appointed to state leader,
- 18:59leader leadership in the year of our Lord Fauci,
- 19:012020. Good evening, we begin tonight with Governor
- 19:03Little appointing a new lawmaker to the state
- 19:06house and this new legislator comes with quite
- 19:09the backstory. Coeur d 'Alene pastor Tim Remington
- 19:12will replace Representative John Green who was
- 19:15expelled from the legislature earlier this month
- 19:17after being convicted of felony tax fraud in
- 19:20Texas. Remington is well known for surviving
- 19:24a serious shooting at his church. four years
- 19:27ago. Our Misty England joins us now from the
- 19:30State House with details about this newest lawmaker
- 19:33Misty. Lawmaker back in March of 2016, Remington
- 19:40was shot outside of his church. after Sunday
- 19:43services, he was shot six times in the back and
- 19:46once in the head. But through this whole process,
- 19:49Remington has always maintained that he was not
- 19:52the victim. The man who shot him was and he's
- 19:55always been very open about the fact that he's
- 19:57forgiven the shooter. Now he's hoping that that
- 20:00forgiving attitude as well as his background
- 20:02as a pastor can bring a new perspective here
- 20:05to the state house. Nope. No, I do not expect
- 20:11this. That's how Pastor Tim Remington feels about
- 20:14his role as Idaho's newest lawmaker. So presumably
- 20:17the reporter said, did you expect to be appointed
- 20:22to a government position and his response was
- 20:25to laugh hysterically? Nope. No, I did not expect
- 20:30this. That's how Pastor Tim Remington feels about
- 20:33his role as Idaho's newest lawmaker. But Remington
- 20:36has dealt with the unexpected before. In 2016,
- 20:40a man named Kyle Odom shot Remington after his
- 20:43church services in Coeur d 'Alene. Remington
- 20:45was shot multiple times, and the reason? He saw
- 20:49me as an alien, and this entity that came into
- 20:53his life told him that he needed to take me out.
- 20:57Regardless, he says he was appointed to the legislature
- 21:00for a reason, and he sees it as an honor, not
- 21:03a burden. One of his top priorities, taking a
- 21:06closer look at the recently introduced anti -abortion
- 21:08bill and his biggest passion, progressing a bill
- 21:11to give addicted juveniles a place to recover.
- 21:14We have 100 beds for adults, but we have zero
- 21:17because they won't let us for juveniles. And
- 21:20if we had it for juveniles, we could get to these
- 21:22juveniles without. government overreach into
- 21:26what we're doing, we could get to these juveniles
- 21:29and save their lives. Reverend Remington will
- 21:32officially be sworn in as a lawmaker tomorrow
- 21:35morning. So it would have been actually really
- 21:38funny if you had been like, yeah, my top priority
- 21:40is gun control. And he would have had a total.
- 21:45He might have been able to pull it off even in
- 21:47Idaho, because I mean, who's going to who's going
- 21:48to tell the guy actually? Actually, no. Oh, man,
- 21:55the Democrats in that moment were probably like,
- 21:57oh, if only if only one of us could have gotten
- 22:00shot in the head and then we could have campaigned
- 22:01on gun control. We could have gotten this rammed
- 22:03through this year. But perfect. Remington Remington.
- 22:08Great name, by the way, was actually is a pretty
- 22:11a pretty stand up solid dude overall. Fairly,
- 22:14fairly conservative guy. Decent dude. Decent
- 22:17human being. I don't spend a lot of time in his
- 22:20orbit, but I know of him and I know him just
- 22:22a little bit personally. So you're sure he's
- 22:25a human being? I do. I think it is hilarious,
- 22:27though, that it does give credence to the, well,
- 22:30maybe he is a lizard person. Six shots and one
- 22:32to the head and he does 45 to the head and he
- 22:34just he just walks away. What is happening? Well,
- 22:38he didn't just walk away. Yeah, I promise you
- 22:41that. But yeah, I don't think he ran for reelection.
- 22:45No, he didn't. You're absolutely right. Yeah,
- 22:48which I mean that says something about a person
- 22:50right there to me. He got appointed. He didn't
- 22:52ask for it He got appointed. He did his time.
- 22:54It was like a I want to say it was a session
- 22:57one session or maybe a session and a half Yeah,
- 22:59it was like January 20 and then he was like,
- 23:01alright, I'm good the November 2020 election
- 23:03He didn't run. So yeah, it was like it was about
- 23:05a year a little less even Yeah, so he basically
- 23:08was for three months a legislator because the
- 23:10session in Idaho is only like three and a half
- 23:11months Oh the John Green thing, by the way, in
- 23:13case anybody's curious That was a witch hunt
- 23:17If ever there was a witch hunt, just when you
- 23:19piss off the IRS, they'll get you anywhere. They
- 23:21got him in Texas. He's actually he lives here.
- 23:24He is a friend of mine. I know him quite well.
- 23:27And he's he's as good as they come. He's the
- 23:29guy you want next to you when the shit hits the
- 23:30fan for sure. Smart dude. He got in trouble for
- 23:34advising clients as a tax attorney with what
- 23:38they could or couldn't do with bullion gold and
- 23:41silver and things like that. And he was trying
- 23:43to help people. Well, save money and. Engage
- 23:46in tax avoidance and a lot of it comes down to
- 23:50the to the bullshit truly that is When you for
- 23:53instance when you buy a gold bullion coin that
- 23:56is let's say at America an American Eagle coin
- 23:59a gold Eagle and it's a The printed value the
- 24:04minted value of it is like five dollars. Well
- 24:05that I think is a tenth of an ounce of gold so
- 24:10You know, obviously the gold is worth significantly
- 24:14more Than five dollars the face value of the
- 24:18coin itself and so that's what was at odds With
- 24:22with the government versus John and his clients
- 24:25is you know The government wants to try to tax
- 24:27you on the value of the gold But they put five
- 24:30dollars on the day on the coin and if you spend
- 24:33it if you spend it as five dollars Well, it'll
- 24:35it only you can only spend it as five dollars
- 24:38So really an interesting little way things work
- 24:41on that But the government will tax you on the
- 24:44value of the gold instead of the value of the
- 24:46money that they printed. So anyways, that's what
- 24:49he got in trouble for, was trying to help clients
- 24:52navigate that. Where did John Green come up?
- 24:54I think I might have missed it. John Green is
- 24:58the legislator who was kicked out of the legislature.
- 25:03Remington replaced. Got you. Yep. Uh -huh. Yeah,
- 25:06he's the seat that Remington replaced. Gotcha.
- 25:08And actually being an appointment, it wasn't
- 25:10a bad pick. It was way, way worse picks out there
- 25:13that could have replaced John Green. And since
- 25:16we didn't get to vote on it, I mean, it could
- 25:17have been anybody. And then he did his thing
- 25:20and then he was like, okay, I'm done. Back to
- 25:22back to my church. where he where he remains.
- 25:25Yeah, I just thought it was a bizarre sequence
- 25:27of event. I mean, the whole thing is bizarre.
- 25:29Like, you know, the disguise. I'm convinced this
- 25:32person's a Martian. I'm going to shoot them six
- 25:34times, including in the head with a forty five.
- 25:36And then they're just going to in very Martian
- 25:37like fashion. You think a forty five is effective
- 25:40against a Martian? Try again, dude. And then
- 25:44get out. But I got to give him some respect because,
- 25:46I mean, at least it wasn't as lame as just going
- 25:49to the church and smashing the windows. Yeah,
- 25:51totally. And then. And then he gets and then
- 25:54Remington gets appointed to a and then and then.
- 25:58Well, before that, Odom goes to the White House
- 26:01and starts tossing like thumb drives over the
- 26:04fence like, hey, hey, people, elected officials
- 26:07like here, here, like check out all this stuff
- 26:09like there's there's lizards and Martians among
- 26:11us. But he's tossing it over the fence to the
- 26:13head reptile. So that's that's never going to
- 26:16work. And then he yeah, that's that part. I don't
- 26:19understand at all. Like I don't and I don't remember
- 26:21that part of the story. That's where they got
- 26:23him. They got him. Yeah. And then they got him
- 26:26while he's dumping hard drives and thumb drives
- 26:29and stuff over the fence at the White House.
- 26:31What? What the hell? And then it's like, well,
- 26:34yeah, of course, man, he's just some delusional
- 26:36guy like, OK, well, you know, and then he and
- 26:39then the the pastor gets appointed in 2020 to
- 26:45a state position. And then now we've got this
- 26:47guy out on on parole. I don't know. And oh, and
- 26:51that Kyle Odom is out on parole. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:53As of like a couple of months ago, he's out of
- 26:55prison now. And but then there was also the part
- 26:58two years and then out. Did you hear what he
- 27:00was saying? What the pastor was saying about
- 27:03what he wanted to told him and his biggest passion,
- 27:06progressing a bill to give addicted juveniles
- 27:09a place to recover. We have 100 beds for adults,
- 27:11but we have zero because they won't let us for
- 27:14juveniles. And if we had it for juveniles, we
- 27:17could get to these juveniles, get to them without
- 27:20government overreach into what we're doing. We
- 27:23could get to these juveniles and save their.
- 27:25So and then he once he's in this position, he
- 27:27wants to his biggest thing is he wants to get
- 27:30to the kids and the damaged kids. I see what
- 27:34I see what you're putting together here. Definitely
- 27:37make you go. Hmm. I think I can dispel it, though,
- 27:40just because I know that I know well enough to
- 27:42know that that's. That wasn't Pastor Remington.
- 27:46Definitely not that kind of dude. Okay. Yeah,
- 27:49it was just an eyebrow razor. And, you know,
- 27:52this is the sort of stuff that catches Sir Ducifer's
- 27:54attention, so. And it should. Definitely should.
- 27:58And in most cases, I think it would be a little
- 28:01eyebrow raising. Maybe it is. Maybe it is here,
- 28:04too. And I just have not seen the forest for
- 28:06the trees because I'm closer to it. I don't know.
- 28:09I'm not super close to it. Like I said, I'm not
- 28:11on... I'm not friends with the guy. I'm not on
- 28:13a first name basis. I don't talk to, I don't
- 28:16think I've ever had more than a word with the
- 28:17dude, but close orbits that almost overlap. Well,
- 28:24speaking of shootings here, there were a couple
- 28:26of things that were, you know, the break. Oh,
- 28:28we got more. Well, yeah, but this one was part
- 28:30of the breaking news cycle from just a couple
- 28:32days ago. Suspect is in custody after a man was
- 28:35shot and killed in Kootenai County. The Kootenai
- 28:37Sheriff says they got reports of a shooting at
- 28:41710 PM. Deputies were already nearby for what
- 28:44they call the Lantern Festival there, which was
- 28:46held near Post Falls. Deputies say the shooting
- 28:49may have stemmed from a dispute as people were
- 28:51leaving that festival. They also say the suspect
- 28:54tried to drive through a crowded area and was
- 28:56detained while driving out. County Sheriff's
- 28:59Office still investigating what happened there.
- 29:01So did you hear about this? This was at the State
- 29:03Line Speedway or just outside of it? No, no,
- 29:06I did not hear about this. So some dude got got
- 29:09iced by some other dude, huh? So what seems to
- 29:12have happened and part of the reason we you know
- 29:15this is not exactly top of show even it seems
- 29:17like nobody really knows anything just yet. But
- 29:20basically the after an event at the Speedway.
- 29:23where and it was you know tons of traffic all
- 29:25trying to you know leave the event in line you
- 29:28know backed up cars for a mile there was probably
- 29:30it seems like there was some sort of a road rage
- 29:32thing someone cut in line someone was trying
- 29:35to drive where they shouldn't people got out
- 29:36of the car argument ensued and someone got you
- 29:41know a gun was brandished and someone died and
- 29:45then there was I saw I saw like um the you know
- 29:48ambulance and fire trucks and all the emergency
- 29:50vehicles along with all these people walking
- 29:53out of the venue on foot and in cars that were
- 29:55going a mile an hour. And everyone is basically
- 29:58like walking past the body. And I saw some people
- 30:01going like, hey, man, you could have at least
- 30:03put like a sheet over the body. I was like walking
- 30:05by with my three young kids and they're like
- 30:07having to walk past this body in experience they
- 30:13will never forget. Right. And then I saw people
- 30:16going like, oh, well, hey, welcome to freaking
- 30:18Oakland. You know, what the hell is this? Yeah,
- 30:22that's that's a bummer. I don't get what else
- 30:27there's to say about it. I guess is just a bummer.
- 30:30Oh, another one just popped up. I'm the North
- 30:32Idaho Republicans. I'm on Facebook. Just because
- 30:35again, my I think it's partly because I'm just
- 30:38politically I have all the stuff here. So it
- 30:40all goes right into me. Here it is again. They're
- 30:43saying it again and again. Right now, our freedom
- 30:45is under attack by extremism. It's time for a
- 30:48change. That's what they say. Speaking of lizard
- 30:52people, it's these people. These people are the
- 30:55lizard people. Look at who they endorse. It's
- 30:57just crazy. They endorse, oh look, they endorse
- 30:58Brad Little. Shocker, they endorse Lieutenant
- 31:01Governor Scott Bedke, who's in total establishment.
- 31:04Everybody on this is complete and other establishment,
- 31:07total establishment candidates. That would be
- 31:10Brad Little having a vocal moment on the word
- 31:13constitutional, where his voice cracked ridiculously
- 31:16when he attempted to say the word constitutional.
- 31:22Yeah. Oh look, Dan Gookins running for precinct
- 31:25committeeman in precinct 416. So these are the
- 31:28people they run. Okay, Dan Gookin. I am the mayor,
- 31:31Dan Gookin. And if you don't like it, you can
- 31:34sue me. Oh, North Idaho Republicans, you're just
- 31:38the worst. As long as we're on the topic of guns
- 31:43and shooting. The Shoshone County prosecuting
- 31:45attorney ruled the December shooting at the county
- 31:47public safety building. was justified. Excuse
- 31:50me. Two officers shot and killed John Drake,
- 31:53who fired a gun in the building. I have no idea
- 31:56why she says excuse me. I didn't cut that. I
- 31:59was going to ask, but also when they say the
- 32:01Kootenai County Safety Building, are they referring
- 32:04to the jail? What are they referring to the building?
- 32:07The County Public Safety Building? The Sheriff's
- 32:10Office? Is that just an interchangeable term
- 32:12for the Sheriff's Office? I got to look it up.
- 32:18The county public safety building in Shoshone.
- 32:27Yeah, it's the jail. Is it all in one? What a
- 32:30really nice name for it. The Cootie County Public
- 32:32Safety Building. That's the jail. What the hell?
- 32:37That's what they call it, huh? OK. When you lock
- 32:40up the Martian hunters, you're keeping the public
- 32:42safe. I guess. Yeah, so. Some dude brought a
- 32:49gun into the jail, huh? And fired it off this?
- 32:52Well, this is. This was the Wallace shooting
- 32:54from December, but the so the but the story that
- 32:56just came out is the the justification for the
- 33:00shooting was ruled on. Attorney ruled the December
- 33:02shooting at the County Public Safety building
- 33:04was justified. Excuse me, two officers shot and
- 33:08killed John Drake, who fired a gun in the building,
- 33:11shot two people in downtown Wallace and then
- 33:14barricaded himself inside the visiting room.
- 33:17Our news partners of the Coeur d 'Alene press
- 33:18say the county attorney sent a letter last week.
- 33:21It said the officers met both constitutional
- 33:23standards and Idaho law with their use of deadly
- 33:26force. That means the officers have no criminal
- 33:29liability. Not that it's not surprising popped
- 33:34to people in Wallace. Well, yes, you remember
- 33:38this surely when they. Remember, like every all
- 33:42of the different police forces from all around
- 33:44the entire region. Oh, that like lone wolf was
- 33:47in there shooting and he didn't actually he didn't.
- 33:49This is in Shoshone County. Yeah, that's what
- 33:52I said, Shoshone. Oh, I'm sorry, dude. I heard
- 33:55Kootenai County. Never mind. I was looking up
- 33:57the Kootenai County Jail. It's called Kootenai
- 33:58County Public Safety Building. Yeah, OK. Well,
- 34:00maybe it's maybe it's the Shoshone County Public
- 34:02Safety Building, which is also the jail. OK,
- 34:04I'm on track. I'm sorry. Yeah, I was looking
- 34:07at the Kootenai County stuff. I would say. I
- 34:09was thinking, trying to figure out how a guy
- 34:11could get away with popping a couple of people
- 34:13over in Wallace and then getting all the way
- 34:14over to Kootenai County and then getting into
- 34:17the Kootenai. Yeah. And then getting into the
- 34:19Kootenai County jail, barricading himself in
- 34:21there and then getting popped. And I was just,
- 34:23the whole time I'm thinking, how the hell this
- 34:25doesn't, okay. That's why I didn't add up. Yeah.
- 34:29So now they're just making a ruling on that event
- 34:31that happened. What was that? Two, three months
- 34:34ago. And they're saying the officers were justified.
- 34:36Everybody go about their business. Well, as long
- 34:40as you okay, so we're really you are off track
- 34:42there Let's see if we can get you back on track
- 34:44with an ask Paul the largest grant in University
- 34:47of Idaho Oh, wait home. Sorry. Wait a minute.
- 34:49I almost forgot Here comes the question big or
- 34:52small make your guess before we call the game
- 34:54begins. It's ask Paul brought to you by Pfizer
- 34:59the largest grant in University of Idaho history
- 35:03for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- 35:06to study climate -resilient farming practices
- 35:08has been reinstated after the Trump administration
- 35:11pulled it last year. The Idaho Capitol Sun reports
- 35:14the feds notified U of I last month at the school
- 35:17and its partners, the Nature Conservancy, Desert
- 35:20Mountain grass -fed beef, and the Nez Perce and
- 35:22Coeur d 'Alene tribes could resume work on the
- 35:24five -year program. More than 200 Idaho farmers
- 35:27from 34 counties had applied to participate before
- 35:30the grant funding was withheld. Program managers
- 35:33told the Capital Sun they hope to go back to
- 35:36many of those same farmers and get them on board
- 35:38this year before potentially reopening the application
- 35:41process. Program managers say they're focused
- 35:43on reducing risk for farmers by using more organic
- 35:47nutrient sources and different field practices
- 35:49to improve soil carbon storage, water retention,
- 35:52and more. So what is the amount of the biggest
- 35:56grant in the history of the university? That
- 36:03is probably largest grant in college history
- 36:07and it's from the feds it's over five years across
- 36:15a couple hundred farmers and a bunch of bureaucrats
- 36:17and administrators and all that kind of stuff
- 36:20i think we're probably looking at somewhere around
- 36:2340 million the largest grant in university of
- 36:29idaho history 59 million dollars for the college
- 36:32of agriculture and life sciences the climate
- 36:34resilient farming practice i should know better
- 36:37i should know better of course I have all people
- 36:39should know better when the government's gonna
- 36:40spend money and have a grant. Of course, it's
- 36:42gonna be twice or three times as much as you
- 36:44think it should be. 59 million. Gotta feed those
- 36:46bureaucrats. Mm -hmm. 59 million. That's about
- 36:4912 million a year. Just shy. Just shy of 12 million
- 36:52a year. Well, and what funds grants like that?
- 36:57Of course, taxes. As many of us are swamped with
- 36:59spam. Or the printing press, which is just another
- 37:03style of tax. So either way, it's on us. As many
- 37:07of us are swamped with spam, text messages, and
- 37:09phone calls, the Idaho Tax Commission wants residents
- 37:12to know they'll be making legitimate phone calls
- 37:15starting today to folks who haven't paid the
- 37:172025 state tax bill. Commission says about 22
- 37:21,000 individual and business filers in Idaho
- 37:23are in this position, and they'll receive an
- 37:26automated phone call asking them to contact the
- 37:28Tax Commission. Anyone concerned about the legitimacy
- 37:31of these calls can verify the request online
- 37:34at tax .idaho .gov. Just so you know, all the
- 37:39tax... Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
- 37:43Okay, so there you go. Those rap bastards. Lucifer
- 37:46wants us to provide context for the ISOs. What?
- 37:50What's the context? What am I supposed to explain
- 37:54everyone I do now? I'm not doing that. No, I
- 37:57don't it no explanation I'm gonna do you know
- 37:59what mm -hmm. Thank you, but I befitted my way
- 38:03I did like I just like the part where they they
- 38:06just have they have the National Treasure NPR
- 38:08Just hammering home this in case you were wondering
- 38:11Taxing entities are legitimate Uh -huh. Yeah
- 38:16legit legit phone calls from a legit agency that
- 38:20totally legitimately lid is legit Here's another
- 38:26taxes citizen you tax cow pay them I'm actually
- 38:30really proud of Idaho 22 ,000 people have been
- 38:33paid their state taxes go them I support you
- 38:35all just want you to know any of you listen to
- 38:37this I support you you're brave Here's another
- 38:42doing super legitimate messaging apparatus I
- 38:47know transportation department is starting its
- 38:50click it or ticket campaign that goes on. Oh,
- 38:53yeah Everyone to buckle up law enforcement agencies
- 38:56will do more patrols until the end of the month
- 38:58and they're going to be focusing on rural areas
- 39:01specifically ITD says that's where traffic fatalities
- 39:05Often occur now you brought up right seatbelt
- 39:08laws on the last or the podcast before very recently
- 39:12the notion of They're for your safety, because
- 39:18they're so worried about where there's fatalities
- 39:20on account of no seatbelts. And for your safety,
- 39:23if you don't pay the ticket we issue you, we'll
- 39:25show up and wrestle you out of your bed, zip
- 39:27tie you, and put you in jail. And they're going
- 39:31to focus on rural areas. So they're going to
- 39:33extract money from the people who can least afford
- 39:35it. So this is our third story in a row, all
- 39:39of which have involved extraction from the people.
- 39:43Yep. Just shut up and pay your taxes. Give us
- 39:47your money tax cows Also have to give giant grants
- 39:53to the colleges so we can give them up give the
- 39:57state of Idaho more money and Just for flavor.
- 40:02We're gonna also extract you roadside also for
- 40:05your own safety And if you don't comply we're
- 40:07gonna hurt you the absurdity of the click it
- 40:11or ticket thing which has been going on as a
- 40:14campaign for decades, I can remember click it
- 40:18or tickets on the amber alerts and from almost
- 40:21around the time I started driving. It feels like
- 40:23since the 90s, they've been doing this click
- 40:25it or ticket thing. Can you get into a car and
- 40:29not put on your seatbelt? The car won't shut
- 40:32up. It's dinging at you. It's beeping at you.
- 40:36There's flashing red lights on your dashboard.
- 40:38Nobody doesn't. What percentage of the population
- 40:41do you think routinely doesn't wear their seatbelt?
- 40:46That's a great question. I don't know that we
- 40:49should reserve that for a Scott's shot or an
- 40:51ask Paul because that's such a great Question
- 40:53for such a time as this I would wager it's got
- 40:56to be five percent or less. Um, a lot of that
- 40:59is if you drive I mean anybody who drives a car
- 41:01that's I mean shit I don't know. This has been
- 41:04a feature in cars for what 10 years 15 years
- 41:0720 years I mean anything I think from the early
- 41:102000s onward and yeah, the thing won't shut up
- 41:12So unless you know unless you know how to pull
- 41:14fuses And the fuse isn't also connected to an
- 41:18important part of the car. But a lot of the time,
- 41:21the way they wire these things up is if you pull
- 41:23fuses like that, they're multi, I don't know
- 41:26the term, but basically they're fuses that are
- 41:28important for other functions of the car. So
- 41:30you can't just pull them and they do that by
- 41:32design. So I don't know. I'd say probably, I'd
- 41:34say 5 % or less. I would think it's got to be
- 41:37way under 1%. I mean, if you just anecdotally,
- 41:40if you think about it, people, people, it's muscle
- 41:42memory. People put on their seatbelt when they
- 41:44get into a car. So in other words, this is a
- 41:46non problem. It's a campaign in search of a problem.
- 41:49You're talking to almost nobody to begin with.
- 41:52It's a public relations stunt, but mixed with
- 41:56revenue generation and all wrapped in this nice
- 42:00little, you know, fancy wrapper that is the guise
- 42:03of safety. So, I mean, you know, talk about breaking
- 42:07down. The public, the narrative, the mainstream
- 42:10narrative, this is it right here, the mainstream
- 42:12media, they love stuff like this. Do not question
- 42:15it, citizen. Obey. Allow yourselves to be pulled
- 42:19over, harassed and extracted because it's for
- 42:21your own good. It's for safety. And the money
- 42:25will be put to good use for the state apparatus.
- 42:28You will be safer, yada, yada, yada. It's a good
- 42:31thing, Scott. We should be grateful that our
- 42:33overlords care enough about us to threaten us
- 42:35with violence. for our own safety. And it's going
- 42:39to hit the rural people the hardest because again,
- 42:41I think in rural places, there is a higher percentage
- 42:46of motorists who do not wear their seat belts
- 42:47for a number of different reasons. They have
- 42:49older rigs that don't bark at them and they don't
- 42:53feel like they need to. When you're driving down
- 42:54the country roads, who the hell cares? You get
- 42:57on the highway for a spell, who the hell cares?
- 42:59Mind your business. Now, is it an unwise Not
- 43:05optimal life decision. Yeah. Yeah, I wouldn't
- 43:08recommend it and Statistics do prove that if
- 43:11you don't wear your seat belt you are more likely
- 43:13to get pancaked for sure But that's a personal
- 43:18liberty issue plain and simple just like almost
- 43:20everything else Look at her ticket and yeah,
- 43:24you don't ever hear nobody in the country is
- 43:26like, you know what we need a seat belt campaign
- 43:29You know what we need. We need more cops on the
- 43:32roads bothering me as I go from place to place
- 43:35That's what I need. No! Nobody in rural America
- 43:38does that or thinks that. We just are like, yep,
- 43:41gonna do my thing, minding my own business, life
- 43:44is good, doo -doo -doo. A public service message
- 43:51from the No ID Show to you. It's if you want
- 43:53the car to stop dinging at you, which all of
- 43:56my rigs now do, thanks to my buddy who is a well...
- 44:00Yeah, if you don't want to mess with other, like
- 44:03you said, there are things that might be linked
- 44:05into it and you're not really just take needle
- 44:07nose pliers and yank the thing out and pray.
- 44:09You got to know what you're doing first. The
- 44:11dealer module that plugs into the car's ECU.
- 44:14If you have somebody that on the inside of the
- 44:16dealership, make friends with your local auto
- 44:19techs at the dealership, they can plug the module
- 44:22in and via programming, disable that digging.
- 44:27I did not know that. Is that what you're looking
- 44:32for? Did we get enough did we give enough context
- 44:36for that one? That one is universal if you don't
- 44:39know that one figure it out. I'm just making
- 44:42sure in the meantime You know what we figured
- 44:46out on this show that value for value is the
- 44:50way and not the advertiser model This program
- 44:55runs on value for value. It is a different way
- 44:59to think about content that you enjoy, content
- 45:03that you receive, and the way that you interact
- 45:06and monetize with said content. We do not have
- 45:10sponsors on this show. We will not stop to read
- 45:12you ads for, you know, beef jerky or deodorant
- 45:16or Clorox or anything of the sort. No sponsors.
- 45:20That's because we run on value for value. I said,
- 45:25now I want beef jerky, though. Mmm. Jack Link's.
- 45:28It's the degree all in motion. Please sponsor
- 45:29us. Yes. Poker reference, politics reference
- 45:36and beef jerky all at the same time. This is
- 45:38why we're friends. This is why we're friends,
- 45:40Scott. And this is why all of you should want
- 45:42to be friends with us and also donate to our
- 45:44show. Yeah. I mean, we could just pretend like
- 45:49Hendry used to do all the time. You could just
- 45:51pretend like you're sponsored by stuff like and
- 45:53this this segment of your show is brought to
- 45:56you by cool cigarettes. Yes, cool cigarettes
- 45:58recommended by nine out of 10 doctors. The smoothest
- 46:03and coolest of cigarettes. Or already sponsored
- 46:07by Pfizer. Brought to you by Pfizer. Yeah, the
- 46:12no ID show. For when you're feeling blue, just
- 46:16take this blue chew. For you. Brought to you
- 46:20by Pfizer. Yes, and make sure you get on them
- 46:24without any plan for how you will ever get off
- 46:27them. You'll just take this in perpetuity. That's
- 46:33the ticket, Scott. That's the ticket. Would you
- 46:35like to know more? Here, I would like to know
- 46:40more, and I think hopefully you would like to
- 46:42know more about what value for value means. Value
- 46:46for value means that if you... Okay, here's what
- 46:49we do. We put the show out there, and we don't
- 46:51have any paywalls, and we don't have any subscriber
- 46:54-only content or anything. We just try to bring
- 46:56value with this program. Comes out every Thursday,
- 46:59and if you think... It's valuable if you find
- 47:02our show to be valuable. We ask that you contribute
- 47:04value back in the form of time, talent or treasure.
- 47:08That's the model. Time and talent. So to answer
- 47:12your question, what would you say you do here?
- 47:16Well, we are good with the customers and we break
- 47:20down the mainstream narrative. I deal with the
- 47:24goddamn customers so the engineers don't have
- 47:26to. That is from the movie Office Space, Sir
- 47:29Ducifer, in case you've never seen it. Let's
- 47:33see time and talent me though and I should mention
- 47:36that the model the value for value model was
- 47:38pioneered by Adam and John had no agenda. So
- 47:42I like to pay homage to them every now and again
- 47:45and Tip the cap to those who have been doing
- 47:49this model for almost 20 years and If you're
- 47:52putting out a valuable product and people find
- 47:54it valuable then it's fantastic and it works
- 47:56great time and talent Is so we've been told so
- 48:00we've been told time and talent is simply that
- 48:02using your time or your talent to contribute
- 48:05back value to the show. That could mean sending
- 48:08in audio clips or news articles or anything that
- 48:11you think we should cover like Sir Ducever did
- 48:13with the Martian Hunter story. Martian Hunter.
- 48:19Show art is another good way to contribute value
- 48:22back to the show. It never been easier to make
- 48:25show art. I was just going to say that. Often
- 48:28times it's topical and because like I'll just
- 48:30based on what we decide and since we're not streaming
- 48:32it live. but we're recording, you know, right
- 48:34before we post it. It's not as easy to make topical
- 48:38show art based on the stuff we decided. So the
- 48:40show art, like we've used show art from Steve
- 48:42Pegg, and that was more like his own, it was
- 48:46like his own topic that he generated show art
- 48:48for. But you know what? It doesn't matter. Like
- 48:49we can use stuff that is not necessarily topical
- 48:52to that. Last week, I mentioned that there's
- 48:54been a couple of submissions, which they're in
- 48:57the queue and ready for, they're chambered for
- 49:00use here very soon, but I didn't actually think
- 49:02who submitted it. So I did want to say thanks
- 49:04to Eric Bennett and to Northbound Signal, who
- 49:09submitted the show art. I have your guys' stuff
- 49:10and I appreciate it a lot. So you know what?
- 49:13If you want to prompt Jocky yourself some no
- 49:15ID show art, that is a great way to return value
- 49:17in the time and talent category. Are we going
- 49:19to use it for one of our episodes? And word of
- 49:21mouth is a great value return in the time and
- 49:24talent category, taking the time to tell people
- 49:26about the show or send them a link. That's how
- 49:28shows like this grow. That is extreme value return
- 49:31and it is highly appreciated. If you would like
- 49:36to sign up for our newsletter. Please go all
- 49:39of this is at no ID show calm. There's a contact
- 49:41button There are clickable links for the treasure
- 49:45portion of value returned Venmo and PayPal and
- 49:48etc and patreon all at no ID show calm right
- 49:52at the bottom there with the contact button There's
- 49:55also a button to sign up for the newsletter which
- 49:57I've seen Many people have done. Please enter
- 50:01in your email address if you'd like to get our
- 50:02once per week newsletter that comes out on show
- 50:05days and just previews the topics of that week's
- 50:07show. And I try to make it funny and interesting.
- 50:10So if you'd like to receive our newsletter, please
- 50:12sign up at the website. And am I forgetting anything?
- 50:17No. Covered all the bases, brother. Did I lose
- 50:21you? No. I'm here. Are you here? Are you there?
- 50:26Hello? Uh -oh. Hold on. I see your bar moving,
- 50:32but I do not hear you. Yeah. Let me try and reset
- 50:36my thing here. I don't know what happened. That
- 50:42was weird. Sorry about that. I didn't touch anything.
- 50:46I didn't touch nothing. All these buttons and
- 50:48I didn't touch a one. I have no idea. Well, could
- 50:50you? You could always hear me. I could hear you
- 50:52the whole time. All right. I have no idea. It's
- 50:55all good. I see. I see what's going on here.
- 50:57I see what's going on here. Really what you did
- 50:59was you just muted me on your end. Yeah. Hello.
- 51:03You got to unmute me. All right. I guess I'm
- 51:05doing the show by myself. Well, I guess so. guess
- 51:07paul we can't hear from paul anymore so we'll
- 51:09just we'll just march forward moving right along
- 51:12you know what now i don't need to worry about
- 51:15being interrupted do not interrupt me it's true
- 51:17we should we should interview dan gookin we should
- 51:19invite him on the show neither of us will get
- 51:21a word in but it'll be a great time what i'll
- 51:25tell him how much i like to piss on him why are
- 51:29you pissing on me All of these, by the way, Sir
- 51:32Deucifer, are clips from the Coeur d 'Alene mayor,
- 51:36Dan Goukhan, the newly elected mayor, going apeshit
- 51:40in the middle of a city council meeting a week
- 51:42or two ago because the minions dared to raise
- 51:46their index finger in the air and attempt to
- 51:48speak. Yeah, he's a real gem. And what's so crazy
- 51:52about it is that if it was anybody from the other
- 51:55side of the political aisle, it'd be all over.
- 51:59the Coeur d 'Alene press, it'd be all over everywhere.
- 52:01It would be like inappropriate behavior. The
- 52:04mayor loses his mind, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 52:06But it's Dan Guggen. So they just go, oh, that's
- 52:08just Dan. That guy. What a guy. Woof. OK, there
- 52:15you go. No ID show dot com. Please return value
- 52:18if you find our show valuable. The value for
- 52:20value model, baby. No ID show dot com. No ID.
- 52:29I got some good stuff here for second half of
- 52:31show. Do you have a little intermission song
- 52:34lined up? I do. Alright, I shall be back momentarily.
- 53:24crash landed where the woke intersect with the
- 53:26exhausted they asked if I'm depressed I don't
- 53:28doubt it I was told it all began as a quest for
- 53:31some knowledge progress after you process the
- 53:34conflict I'll be okay and if I got one wish I'd
- 53:37probably waste it trying to make myself an optimist
- 53:39it's ironic because most of my thoughts are positive
- 53:42just hop in the whip I promise not to drive off
- 53:44of the cliff happiness is my favorite physical
- 53:47feature but I'm afraid I'll figure out that it's
- 53:50a mythical creature I need to believe in a simulation
- 53:53that we living in spent the whole stimulus check
- 53:55on some stimulants I'll be okay just freestyle
- 53:58the answers if you feel it put your hands up
- 54:00in front of surveillance cameras okay I don't
- 54:03take the buffet for granted make you understand
- 54:05it when you see me licking my plate we gotta
- 54:07travel through space to keep the family safe
- 54:10check your connections can they handle the base
- 54:12if they reflect your face it amplifies the existence
- 54:15of your significance but only if you survive
- 54:18the collision it'll be okay even if you're feeling
- 54:21like there ain't no way you're still with us
- 54:23today it's gonna be okay okay it'll be okay even
- 54:31if you're feeling like there ain't no way you're
- 54:34still with us today it's gonna be okay okay i
- 54:39think i'm feeling all right and i'll admit that
- 54:41sometimes i'm probably tongue -tied Got me staring
- 54:44at the sun like my shoes ain't come untied. The
- 54:47clown face got replaced by this mountain of the
- 54:49Midwest average from the mid -2000s, huh? And
- 54:52being the best was never the intended destination.
- 54:55I just want appreciation for my presentation.
- 54:57Even if I was the only human left in population,
- 55:00this is dedicated to the dedication. You better
- 55:03love yourself today, because tomorrow will be
- 55:05harder. Put your guard up. Don't let them penetrate
- 55:07your armor. Collect whatever crumbs you got and
- 55:10keep them in a bread box. You knew I was the
- 55:12one when I was Sleeping in the wet spot. Maybe
- 55:14if you had a dollar for all of your doubters,
- 55:16maybe you could grow a salad and water the flowers.
- 55:19I know the zookeeper's seen my leash and my collar.
- 55:22I'm in a tuxedo smoking weed in the shower. It'll
- 55:25be okay. Even if you're feeling like there ain't
- 55:28no way. You're still with us today. It's gonna
- 55:30be okay. Okay. It'll be okay. Even if you're
- 55:38feeling like there ain't no way. You're still
- 55:40with us today. It's gonna be okay. Okay. So if
- 56:24you watch the music video for this You're gonna
- 56:36love it. It's a okay by atmosphere and it fits
- 56:40so perfectly with the first half of our show
- 56:43I had something else lined up and then I audible
- 56:45because this was so perfect But you got to watch
- 56:47it and you'll see what I mean So I have not seen
- 56:50that music video, but I love Sean Daly and I
- 56:54have for a long time He's more legit than the
- 56:59Idaho State Tax Commission. I Actually saw it,
- 57:03you know, it's funny. I I went to a couple Coachella's
- 57:06way back in the day 2004 and 6 I went to the
- 57:102004 one. I actually got Comp tickets because
- 57:14I was working in radio at the time and the station
- 57:17actually gave away a couple tickets to staff.
- 57:20They raffled them off. There were only two. And
- 57:22I happened to win it. And all of the, like, much
- 57:25more important people at the station than the
- 57:26frickin' board op for Love Line. Not the 21 -year
- 57:30-old board op for Love Line won them. So I know
- 57:32that people were mad about that. But I did, and
- 57:35I went there and saw them. And then in 2006,
- 57:37I went specifically to see Atmosphere. who is
- 57:41way down on the obviously like nowhere near the
- 57:44headliner. Like I still have that Coachella poster
- 57:46and atmosphere is on there, but he's in like,
- 57:49you know, way near the if you ever seen the Coachella
- 57:52posters, it's like the flaming lips, red hot
- 57:55chili peppers and like the huge bold font. And
- 57:57then as the list gets smaller and smaller and
- 57:59smaller toward the bottom of the poster, the
- 58:01font gets smaller and atmosphere is like two
- 58:03lines from the bottom. And that's who I was there
- 58:05to see. That's actually about who I'd be there
- 58:09to see, too, I think. depending on the lineup.
- 58:11But it's funny how that works, huh? Yeah, good
- 58:13stuff atmosphere. I ran into him or them, I should
- 58:16say like 10 years ago, maybe longer now, 12 years
- 58:19ago, 14 years ago. And I'm not a huge hip hop
- 58:21or rap guy, but there's a small handful, I'd
- 58:25say half a dozen or less of. And incidentally,
- 58:28I don't know how it's worked out that way, but
- 58:30they're almost all white. I guess I'm super duper
- 58:33racist. Maybe that's what it is. I actually didn't
- 58:35know until I looked them all up. But all of my
- 58:37favorite rappers are white. Like yeah, little
- 58:41except for run the jewels run the jewels is a
- 58:43little bit of ebony and ivory So those guys are
- 58:46rough, but they're who else I'm good stuff. I'm
- 58:48in like I snow I'm into lil dicky. I'm into Sean
- 58:53Daly I'm into who else in the white rapper category
- 58:57Antics I'd say look up antics. He's French So
- 59:03atmosphere antics run the jewels Connor price
- 59:07he's a Canadian He's got seriously good stuff
- 59:12nice kid really nice kid might be a Christian
- 59:15but highly highly like Connor price. He's got
- 59:18good stuff and oh Brother Ali who is the whitest
- 59:24of the white he's an albino I think he's from
- 59:31Washington DC. He yeah him and antics are definitely
- 59:35oh and show ish on daily. They're flaming leftists
- 59:38all of them I don't think Connor Price is necessarily,
- 59:42but you know, they make good stuff. So anyways,
- 59:45I just looked up brother Ali. That is hilarious.
- 59:47Yeah, he is albino, right? Yep. Yep. No, he's
- 59:50legit albino. He's he's more legit albino than
- 59:54the state tax commission is a legit entity. OK,
- 59:59here, that's perfect. For second half of show
- 1:00:00here on No ID, North Idaho's mainstream narrative
- 1:00:03deconstruction. Usually where you know where
- 1:00:06this is mainstream media and how they are presenting
- 1:00:08Everything and breaking that down. This is not
- 1:00:12this is independent media It's another clip from
- 1:00:14Matt Todd's the ranch podcast, but it is a mainstream
- 1:00:17figure in the Idaho apparatus So I would like
- 1:00:20to break it down because there is a lot of her
- 1:00:23stream of consciousness And I think it's highly
- 1:00:27illuminating for how some think Her name is Lori
- 1:00:32Wolf Todd. Mm -hmm And Matt Todd's production
- 1:00:35is excellent. And I love that these folks are
- 1:00:39being given microphones and long forms for consciousness
- 1:00:42platforms. Yeah, yeah, actually, this is the
- 1:00:46this is the reason free speech should be enshrined
- 1:00:48is because if you if you find ideas horrendous
- 1:00:52or abhorrent, you just got to let other people
- 1:00:55say them so that everyone else can hear how horrendous
- 1:00:58and abhorrent the ideas are. So here is a long
- 1:01:02it's this is a longer presentation because you
- 1:01:04know This comes this is not a little 30 second
- 1:01:06thing from crime channel 2 or anything of the
- 1:01:08sort It's a it's an hour plus long conversation.
- 1:01:11So I have snippets from it's a little bit longer
- 1:01:12of a conversation But I think it's worth and
- 1:01:14first off you're the administrator for the office
- 1:01:15of finance for the governor, correct? Division
- 1:01:17of financial management division of financial
- 1:01:19management. Okay do the budget for the governor
- 1:01:21so and she's basically doing the you know heading
- 1:01:25up the And the agency that does all the line
- 1:01:28items, which as you might imagine, is a pretty
- 1:01:30tedious gig. There's a lot of them. So here we
- 1:01:33go. In Idaho, we have a constitutional amendment
- 1:01:36that we always balance the budget, meaning revenue
- 1:01:40drives everything that we do. We cannot and will
- 1:01:43not overspend. So I think, you know, that's up
- 1:01:47for debate. You know, the challenges we've had
- 1:01:50the last couple of sessions, we were coming off
- 1:01:54huge revenue growth. Idaho was the fastest growing
- 1:01:57state. Even last year, we're the fastest growing
- 1:02:00state. But for the last five, six years, we've
- 1:02:03been in the top two fastest growing states in
- 1:02:05the country. That really increased revenue, also
- 1:02:09really increased service demands and all of the
- 1:02:11things that were needed. Last year, early in
- 1:02:152025, we started seeing our revenue start to
- 1:02:20soften a bit. We weren't in any economic crisis,
- 1:02:24but, you know, our sales tax decreased a little
- 1:02:26bit. We started just in all categories, we were
- 1:02:29kind of hitting or missing some of our revenue
- 1:02:31projections. And we saw that in the middle of
- 1:02:35a session where they were also talking about
- 1:02:37the highest tax cuts that the state had ever
- 1:02:40made in one revenue or in one legislative session.
- 1:02:44So it was kind of this timing where, you know,
- 1:02:47we had had all this success. We had made a lot
- 1:02:49of investments. There were prioritizations on
- 1:02:53tax relief. So we passed about a budget last
- 1:02:56year that cut almost half a billion dollars in
- 1:02:59tax provided tax relief. Half a billion sounds
- 1:03:02humongous until you realize that when you counting
- 1:03:06federal monies as well that pours into the state
- 1:03:09of Idaho, the Idaho budget is projected to be
- 1:03:12almost 15 billion dollars for next year. Half
- 1:03:18a billion is one thirtieth. 3 % provided tax
- 1:03:25relief half a billion dollars, which It's good
- 1:03:28policy, right? If we have access revenue We want
- 1:03:31to provide tax relief just because we have the
- 1:03:33revenue doesn't necessarily mean if she's doing
- 1:03:37though She's setting that up if we have access
- 1:03:39revenue, then it's good policy, but any other
- 1:03:42time. No It's really sorry. You knew I was gonna
- 1:03:45do this. You know, you don't know I'm gonna play
- 1:03:47this and I'm gonna of course This is why we're
- 1:03:49doing it. It's why we're here It's really just
- 1:03:51because you have the revenue doesn't necessarily
- 1:03:54mean the governor should always spend it When
- 1:03:56you're in an economic situation where you know
- 1:03:59housing is more expensive food is more expensive
- 1:04:02Tax relief is one way to help put that money
- 1:04:05back in their pocket sure and not just paying
- 1:04:07it to the governor But it's all to the government
- 1:04:09That money back in their pocket sure and not
- 1:04:18just paying you all heard it Hello peasants Sure,
- 1:04:22and not just paying it to the governor, but it's
- 1:04:24all to the government. Oh, wait a minute now
- 1:04:27remember she works directly with the governor
- 1:04:31and It's the governor's budget Uh -huh. Mm -hmm.
- 1:04:37Uh -huh. Oh, uh, what makes you qualified to
- 1:04:40run for governor money? Yes, that makes sense
- 1:04:44In their pocket sure and not just paying it to
- 1:04:47the governor, but it's all to the government,
- 1:04:49but it's right gets me every time I'm your king
- 1:05:01Oh man, okay. Hey guys, she just misspoke. Okay?
- 1:05:09Okay Okay to the government, but it's a it's
- 1:05:14a balance right right right? I'm hearing this
- 1:05:16too, like so freaky, like it seems to be, I don't
- 1:05:19know, maybe it's just my perception because I'm
- 1:05:21so keyed in on it every time it happens, but
- 1:05:24I am hearing people do this just absolutely constantly.
- 1:05:28I've been watching the North Idaho Experience
- 1:05:31guys who we brought up on the last show. I'm
- 1:05:33hearing the hosts, the guests, every third sentence,
- 1:05:38right, right, right. People are affirming the
- 1:05:41statement that just came out of their own mouth.
- 1:05:43Why do people feel compelled to do that? Do you
- 1:05:46think? Well, who are you trying to convince?
- 1:05:50And are you trying to convince? Right? Right.
- 1:05:56You end a sentence with that. If you are looking
- 1:05:58for affirmation of a statement you have made
- 1:06:00or assumptions or theory, whatever ideas you're
- 1:06:02putting out there that require consensus or that
- 1:06:07demand agreement or that you you want backup
- 1:06:10on because maybe you yourself are not sure of
- 1:06:12them or you're not sure where you stand or et
- 1:06:14cetera, et cetera. So It's a defense mechanism,
- 1:06:18if you will, a very natural one. And it makes
- 1:06:20sense. I also think it has something to do with
- 1:06:23the modern vernacular. I think it's a generational
- 1:06:25thing as well. Although when used by the likes
- 1:06:28of Senator Wintrow or whatever, she's she's in
- 1:06:31her like 50s or 60s. So maybe I don't know, maybe
- 1:06:36it's a maybe it's a gender thing because it's
- 1:06:38mainly females that we've seen doing it. Maybe
- 1:06:40it's mostly a generational thing. Maybe it's
- 1:06:42a figure of speech that people pick up. Maybe
- 1:06:45it's a Boise thing, Scott. I don't know. Right.
- 1:06:51Let's move along here. There's more clips from
- 1:06:54Lori Wolf, who once again is the the administrator
- 1:06:59of the Division of Financial Management for the
- 1:07:01State of Idaho. Credit to her. Before you start
- 1:07:03real quick, I'll say she is fairly well spoken
- 1:07:06and she's doing an excellent job of. presenting
- 1:07:11herself as the sort of reasonable Republican
- 1:07:14who does indeed believe in tax relief and reasonable
- 1:07:18budgets and reasonable spending. And, you know,
- 1:07:21when the conditions are just right and just ever
- 1:07:23so, then people ought to keep a little more of
- 1:07:25their money. Don't you think? Right. Right. Yes,
- 1:07:28I am a conservative Republican. No, they're not.
- 1:07:32But she's doing a great job of cosplaying one.
- 1:07:35And this is this is, again, that ties back in.
- 1:07:37I'm going to keep beating the drum. Anybody who
- 1:07:38is voting in Idaho, beware of the NIR. These
- 1:07:42are the NIR types, and it does spread all the
- 1:07:45way down to Boise. They talk like this, they
- 1:07:48cause play as conservatives, but when the rubber
- 1:07:51meets the road, they are typically the last ones
- 1:07:54who actually want to give any money back to the
- 1:07:56people who actually want to spend less and who
- 1:07:58are happy to keep things the way they are, maybe
- 1:08:01growing, you know, one, 2 % a year, but almost
- 1:08:05never in reverse, unless the conditions are just
- 1:08:07right. Right. Funny thing about the conditions,
- 1:08:09Scott, you think they're ever just right? Is
- 1:08:15that a rhetorical question? Right? That's right.
- 1:08:18Right. Right. Right. Okay. Moving along here.
- 1:08:21So in August, the governor issued an executive
- 1:08:24order saying we have got to reduce spending,
- 1:08:27even though the legislature said, here's the
- 1:08:30level you can spend. I'm going to reduce it because
- 1:08:33if we don't, we are no, not that though, going
- 1:08:37to exceed our revenue and their quest. You can't
- 1:08:39cut that either. Yeah, we're going to get to
- 1:08:41that. And the request from the governor was reduce
- 1:08:44your spending by 3%. The governor in issuing
- 1:08:49this executive order protected a couple of things
- 1:08:52that were absolutely critical and public schools
- 1:08:54were one of them. He did not ask for any reductions
- 1:08:58in public schools. But they did, though, because
- 1:09:01they did cut they did cut funds for parts of
- 1:09:04the public school system. And it just so happened
- 1:09:06to be part of the public school system that my
- 1:09:08family is a part of, which is the only part of
- 1:09:10the public school system that might be worth
- 1:09:12the money that's spent. It's probably worth three
- 1:09:14times the money that spent and very little money
- 1:09:16actually does get spent, especially relative
- 1:09:19to the overarching brick and mortar system. And
- 1:09:21that is the Idaho Home Learning Academy branch
- 1:09:25of the public education system, which gets all
- 1:09:28of like 45 million now down to I think 25 or
- 1:09:3230 million. And that money goes towards reimbursing
- 1:09:36families who spend money on the education of
- 1:09:38their own kids. And they do the learning remote
- 1:09:40via online courses and things of that nature.
- 1:09:43It's designed mainly for rural families like
- 1:09:45us, and families who homeschool like us and supplemented
- 1:09:49with these other programs. It's flexible. It
- 1:09:52allows us to get a little bit it's just a smidge
- 1:09:54into because we only get like $1 ,200 a year
- 1:09:57per kid. So it's it's bullshit money. But it's
- 1:10:00something to get money back into my pocket that
- 1:10:03I've already paid for services I never wanted
- 1:10:05for to educate my own kids. But that's actually
- 1:10:09what they cut. They cut that stuff this year.
- 1:10:11They didn't cut brick and mortar schools, Scott.
- 1:10:13Of course not. Right. Right. And listen again
- 1:10:16to the wording. Protected a couple of things
- 1:10:19that were absolutely critical and public schools
- 1:10:21were one of them. Critical. Now, who is deciding?
- 1:10:25what is absolutely critical. The way she and
- 1:10:29her milieu speaks is as if the rules for what
- 1:10:32is important and critical got passed down by
- 1:10:35alien overlords. And we are just sort of following
- 1:10:38the rules, like, well, this is the untouchable
- 1:10:41thing. These are, of course, value judgments.
- 1:10:44She thinks that it's the most important untouchable
- 1:10:47thing ever. I'd like to read some brief data.
- 1:10:50While Idaho doesn't track homeschool enrollment
- 1:10:53precisely, Because families, you know, you generally
- 1:10:56don't have to register with the state here in
- 1:10:57Idaho or anything. So the number is an estimate.
- 1:11:00But you can pull your kids out the day the day
- 1:11:02you want to and you don't have to send a letter.
- 1:11:04You don't have to file any paperwork. You don't
- 1:11:06have to do anything. You can quite literally
- 1:11:08yank your kid out of school and tell them all
- 1:11:10get fucked and carry on your merry way, which
- 1:11:13is awesome. Yay, Idaho. From the Idaho Department
- 1:11:17of Education. the public K through 12 enrollment
- 1:11:20numbers, approximately 290 ,000 students statewide.
- 1:11:24The homeschool share is roughly eight to 9 %
- 1:11:27of K through 12 students. That means about 25
- 1:11:30,000 students based on census and Johns Hopkins
- 1:11:33estimates. Now, if you include private school
- 1:11:35enrollments, which is approximately 15 to 20
- 1:11:38,000 students, another approximately five to
- 1:11:407%, that is anywhere between 40 and 45 ,000 students
- 1:11:45whose family decided that protected a couple
- 1:11:49of things that were absolutely critical. Those
- 1:11:51families don't seem to think that public school
- 1:11:54is not only is it not absolutely critical, it
- 1:11:56is anathema and is to be avoided at great personal
- 1:12:00expense. We also made a deliberate decision to
- 1:12:06protect some of the public safety funding. There
- 1:12:09were some things that we were able to reduce,
- 1:12:11but in both Corrections and Idaho State Police,
- 1:12:14we protected some of those funds to make sure
- 1:12:17public safety wasn't at risk. There are some
- 1:12:19things we just have to do. Listen to that again.
- 1:12:23There are some things we just have to do. According
- 1:12:26to you, Lori Wolf, and to your milieu, who are
- 1:12:30you speaking on behalf of? They continually act
- 1:12:33like they're speaking on behalf of Idahoans.
- 1:12:36No, no, no, no, no. They're speaking on behalf
- 1:12:39of this guy. That guy. Yeah, you mean the person
- 1:12:43who all the money goes to, the governor? The
- 1:12:46governor. It's so good Scott. It's so good Yeah,
- 1:12:53so that's I mean that's a regular argument that
- 1:12:56I'll have to the live long day with any with
- 1:12:58any status conservative leftists otherwise I
- 1:13:02mean all statists are to the left of me anyways
- 1:13:04on the political spectrum, but that is the That
- 1:13:07is one of the greatest questions you could ever
- 1:13:09ask a status is when they talk about, you know,
- 1:13:12well, we need this or we need that or who will
- 1:13:14do this and be like, well, I don't I don't want
- 1:13:15any of that. And the things I do want, I will
- 1:13:17voluntarily pay for because somebody will provide
- 1:13:19the service because there's a market. They will
- 1:13:21do it better. They will do it more cheaply and
- 1:13:22they will treat me as a customer, not as a tax
- 1:13:25slave or a tax cow. And while we're at it, who
- 1:13:28gets to who is the grand arbiter? of what we
- 1:13:32need and don't need as a society or what we get
- 1:13:34to have and don't get to have or what's important
- 1:13:36or critical or not. And that really is a question
- 1:13:40that we ask a lot. The hubris. It's so hubristic.
- 1:13:43They really think that they're just, they shall
- 1:13:46determine what you just said and shut up and
- 1:13:48pay. I am the mayor and I decide how the money
- 1:13:54gets spent. I am the mayor. I decide what is
- 1:13:57critical. There's a lot more to this. Let's continue
- 1:14:01on. A concept that has been coming up. So now
- 1:14:04you're hearing the voice of Matt Todd, who's
- 1:14:06conducting the interview. A concept that has
- 1:14:09been coming up in conversations where people
- 1:14:11say, look, nobody likes the government. Fine.
- 1:14:14You know, nobody likes taxes. Totally fine. Like,
- 1:14:16I don't like taxes. I guarantee you don't like
- 1:14:18taxes. I haven't asked. I'm just going to assume.
- 1:14:20I like your taxes. There you go. Oh! There's
- 1:14:28some nice dollars you got over there it'd be
- 1:14:30a shame if the governor were to take them Taxes
- 1:14:33I haven't asked I'm just gonna assume but I like
- 1:14:36your taxes. There you go You I God bless you
- 1:14:41But the body can't why can't Kyle Odom like why
- 1:14:45can't the Kyle Odom's of the world take care
- 1:14:48of the these types of people. Oh, no, there's
- 1:14:50no such thing as reptiles or Martians. No, no,
- 1:14:54no, that's ridiculous. No, I'm just, you know,
- 1:14:56there's definitely lizard people, but they're
- 1:14:58not. They're not the Tim Remingtons of the world.
- 1:15:01They're they're the governors and the Liz Wolves
- 1:15:03of the world. They're the Gavin Newsome's of
- 1:15:05the world. My God. You ever notice that the the
- 1:15:07Kyle Odom's of the world never go after the actual
- 1:15:10lizard people of the world? They never do. Come
- 1:15:14on, like. Like, if what's his putz who smashed
- 1:15:16the windows at the jail, if he had any clue whatsoever,
- 1:15:20McClintock would have gone after, you know, anything
- 1:15:23or anybody else. What a waste. Like, what a waste
- 1:15:27of talent, Kyle Odom and McClintock. Come on,
- 1:15:30you guys. At your next conference, when all of
- 1:15:33you wackos get together, you really need to discuss
- 1:15:35about redirecting your efforts to the proper
- 1:15:39places. I'm just going to assume. But I like
- 1:15:42your taxes. There you go. It's me every time.
- 1:15:46God bless you. But the bottom line is that this
- 1:15:50concept is that is it's almost like there there
- 1:15:54are people saying, look, there is a place for
- 1:15:56government in the first world. Right. And if
- 1:15:58you want to go complete anarchy and chaos, like,
- 1:16:01yeah, there are countries that do that. And that's
- 1:16:03totally fine. But as long as they're not. Yeah.
- 1:16:06Which country do you have in mind? Oh, wait,
- 1:16:09if we're going to bust out the trident, just
- 1:16:10dust it off real quick. Well, if you like anarchy
- 1:16:14so much, why don't you move to Somalia? Yeah,
- 1:16:20super anarchist over there with, you know, the
- 1:16:23two dozen different warlords who all think they
- 1:16:26are the government and they all form a government
- 1:16:28and they call it government and then they slaughter
- 1:16:31each other to see who's in charge of the government.
- 1:16:33Yep. That's anarchy. All right. Yeah. There are
- 1:16:38people saying, look, there is a place for government
- 1:16:40in the first world. Right. And if you want to
- 1:16:43go complete anarchy and chaos, like, yeah, there
- 1:16:45are countries that do that and that's totally
- 1:16:47fine. But Matt Todd, I thought we were going
- 1:16:49to hang out in America. There is a place for
- 1:16:53a federal and a state government. So he just
- 1:16:58did he just pull a random marsh. I thought this
- 1:17:00was America. This is America. I'm sorry. I thought
- 1:17:04this was America. And to suffer for context,
- 1:17:08that's from a little show called South Park.
- 1:17:10It only ran for like 30 seasons. You probably
- 1:17:13haven't heard of it. And we're talking about
- 1:17:15the country of America. Although the way the
- 1:17:17man with two names, Matt Todd, just said America
- 1:17:19was just brilliant. Love it. We can't have anarchy
- 1:17:23and chaos in America. We've got to have some
- 1:17:26taxes. And I'm glad you like my taxes, Liz Wolf.
- 1:17:30Even though this is off the rails, man, the show
- 1:17:33just started with this interview and we could
- 1:17:34have done this whole podcast on this one interview.
- 1:17:37Instead, we only have like Yeah, Scott, what
- 1:17:40the fuck? What are you doing here? I count on
- 1:17:42you to direct this show and here you are bringing
- 1:17:44out the best shit last and we're already an hour
- 1:17:48and 45 into this. Our listeners are going to
- 1:17:50be so tired. We need more of a governing apparatus
- 1:17:52on this show because obviously this is just total
- 1:17:54chaos. Anarchy. It is total anarchy and I won't
- 1:17:58stand for it, sir. I think you need to edit out
- 1:18:01the entire first half and just start with the
- 1:18:03second half because our best work is just starting
- 1:18:05now. Here's your weekly no -id reminder that
- 1:18:09the most chaos and anarchistic craziness where
- 1:18:15nobody knew what the hell was what and there
- 1:18:17were insane rules and contradictory statements
- 1:18:21and a constant barrage of flooding the zone with
- 1:18:25confusion and fear via officialdom's propaganda,
- 1:18:30that all emanated from the state. And I'm, of
- 1:18:33course, referring to the mass psychosis event
- 1:18:35from 2020 to 2022. Chaos and anarchy and what
- 1:18:40you're describing is what you don't want to see
- 1:18:43in society emanates from the state. It doesn't
- 1:18:47actually get thwarted by the state. Everything
- 1:18:50is upside down. OK, there's more. And I know
- 1:18:52it's the thing we always talk about how like
- 1:18:54the the government isn't anti -crime. In fact,
- 1:18:58the state. is the one doing almost all of the
- 1:19:02crime, 95 % of the crime or more. It is a monopoly
- 1:19:06on crime. It's what the state doesn't like is
- 1:19:10competition. Pick a topic, pick a good, pick
- 1:19:15a service, pick something that is illegal that
- 1:19:18we know right now. According to the state, it's
- 1:19:20illegal, but the state itself does the thing,
- 1:19:23but it's illegal if anybody else does it. It's
- 1:19:26insane. Also, I just realized, speaking of insanity,
- 1:19:31that I still have a Scott's shots for you. Dude,
- 1:19:34Scott, we're gonna have to like hack up the whole
- 1:19:36first half of the show, get rid of it, because
- 1:19:38it's total crap anyways, and start with the second
- 1:19:42half, because I still have a Scott's shots for
- 1:19:44you. I really wish you don't end up with this.
- 1:19:47We might need to chamber it for next week, because
- 1:19:50I have a few more minutes of this Lori Wolf interview,
- 1:19:52and this is where it really gets good. I saved
- 1:19:53the best for last. Put you in the chamber. And
- 1:19:56Idaho has been built on I think a tradition of
- 1:20:00limited government in terms of limited in your
- 1:20:05individual decision making, a lot of freedom
- 1:20:08to parent choice, right? A lot of freedom to,
- 1:20:11we want you to be who you want to be in this
- 1:20:15state. However, however, however, Idaho is also
- 1:20:19successful because the government has taken their
- 1:20:23responsibility seriously for how to build strong
- 1:20:26communities, strong schools, strong workforce
- 1:20:30and support our industry and business industry
- 1:20:35and business. And I think if you work and jobs
- 1:20:38could never happen if the government didn't do
- 1:20:40it, of course, because people don't naturally
- 1:20:43figure out how to work and do and do jobs without
- 1:20:47my government. And I think if you ask those people
- 1:20:51that we're supposed to support what they want
- 1:20:55and listen to those priorities, it's going to
- 1:20:57help us know where that revenue needs to go and
- 1:21:01how we need to continue funding it. It's not
- 1:21:04gutting. Do you notice how quickly she went from
- 1:21:07being smooth and well -spoken to choppy the moment
- 1:21:11she had to navigate this word salad she's trying
- 1:21:14to put together as she cosplays as a conservative?
- 1:21:17but then talks about what they really believe
- 1:21:20and what they really want and what their goals
- 1:21:22are and what they really think. And trying to
- 1:21:27bring those two polar opposite concepts together
- 1:21:31and basically weave it together with a word salad.
- 1:21:34And that's what they do. That's what Governor
- 1:21:36Little does. That's what all of his people do.
- 1:21:38That's what all of the rhinos, we call them rhinos,
- 1:21:40Republicans in name only. That's what the people
- 1:21:42from NIR. up here do, where they literally use
- 1:21:46phrases like protect your freedoms from extremism.
- 1:21:49But they're the ones who march the government
- 1:21:52forward in every way, shape and form. But they
- 1:21:56word salad their way through it. It's wild, man.
- 1:21:59And here she is, it's breaking down. In real
- 1:22:01time, it's breaking down. I don't know how Matt
- 1:22:02Todd sits there and listens to it. Credit to
- 1:22:04you, Matt Todd, the man with two names, because
- 1:22:06the only way I think I could sit there through
- 1:22:08it and let them just speak this whole time without
- 1:22:13without having to interject every sentence like
- 1:22:16I do now. And I don't know, you got to be on,
- 1:22:19maybe he's sponsored by Pfizer, you know, and
- 1:22:21with Prozac and you sort of just sit there and
- 1:22:23you're like, yeah, whatever you say. Okay. Where
- 1:22:27that revenue needs to go and how we need to continue
- 1:22:30funding it. It's not gutting the government.
- 1:22:33It's not getting rid of the government. It's
- 1:22:35not turning the government upside down because
- 1:22:37then those things fail. And when those things
- 1:22:39fail, Our kids fail and our businesses fail.
- 1:22:42Our industries fail. So without the government,
- 1:22:45our kids fail. And our industries fail and all
- 1:22:48that. But actually, it seems to me to be inverted.
- 1:22:52I saw what your public schools did to kids in
- 1:22:562020. You cannot escape your behavior apparatus
- 1:23:00of the state. You actually hate the things that
- 1:23:03you're describing. industry, kids and businesses
- 1:23:07and your citizens and stuff. You hate them or
- 1:23:11at least you show your other tools like or you
- 1:23:14show your love via physical and and psychological
- 1:23:17abuse. I don't know. Is that how you show love?
- 1:23:20Yeah, well, it's an abusive relationship. I mean,
- 1:23:22the the state is an abusive husband or boyfriend,
- 1:23:26if you will. It truly is all of the things that
- 1:23:29the state does. If it was under the dynamics
- 1:23:32of a relationship, We would be like girl You
- 1:23:37got to get out of there all the telltale signs.
- 1:23:39He is no good. Yeah, he is no good In fact, I
- 1:23:42have something for you. I'm gonna I'm gonna do
- 1:23:44it. I'm gonna pull it up But he tells me how
- 1:23:48much he loves me and cares about me You know
- 1:23:50when he when he has his arm around me after he's
- 1:23:52blackened my eye and thrown me down as a set
- 1:23:54of stairs He explains to me just how much he
- 1:23:57loves me and how much he does this stuff from
- 1:23:59my own good and without him How would I be able
- 1:24:02to exist on this earth? Also, if I leave, someone
- 1:24:06else will just beat me harder. He only beats
- 1:24:09me on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Fridays. This
- 1:24:13other, this other boyfriend over there might,
- 1:24:15might beat me four days a week instead of three,
- 1:24:18but I get free healthcare. So sure. Free. Yeah,
- 1:24:22free. I got it. Relationship rules. This is a
- 1:24:27contract I took a picture of as a, and it's,
- 1:24:30it's a parody, but you get the idea pretty quick.
- 1:24:32He said things you're not allowed to do in this
- 1:24:34relationship. You are not. to make any money
- 1:24:36without telling me. You are not to leave my property
- 1:24:39without permission. You will pay me a large percentage
- 1:24:42of your income or get locked in the cage. You
- 1:24:45will not own anything I don't approve of or you
- 1:24:48get locked in the cage. If you do not pay me,
- 1:24:51you will get locked in the cage. If you trade,
- 1:24:54you can only do it with my permission slips unless
- 1:24:56I've given you permission. Trading with other
- 1:24:58kinds of currency can land you in the cage. If
- 1:25:01you get a job, your employer will owe me more
- 1:25:03money. If you want to have friends come over
- 1:25:05from another place, they'll have to get in line.
- 1:25:08Maybe for years. You will let me listen in on
- 1:25:11your phone calls, texts, emails, or any other
- 1:25:14communications. If you have nothing to hide,
- 1:25:16you have nothing to fear. I will take your money
- 1:25:19as I see fit, spend it how I want, and my friends
- 1:25:21will get a cut. And if you complain about my
- 1:25:24behavior, murder, theft, kidnapping, debt, or
- 1:25:26beating you, it's a sign that you don't love
- 1:25:28me, and my friends will tell you to move to Somalia.
- 1:25:33It's an abusive relationship. It's not gutting
- 1:25:37the government. It's not getting rid of the government.
- 1:25:40We already heard that Yeah, and by the way gutting
- 1:25:42the government is is only giving them 97 % of
- 1:25:45their budget just like Wintrow We're getting
- 1:25:46it. We're we're we're we're bashing into the
- 1:25:49ground when you talk about literally killing
- 1:25:52people, right? Right literally literally Sir,
- 1:25:58Duceford, that is Senator Melissa Wintrow explaining
- 1:26:01how the budget cuts of two percent. An agency
- 1:26:06that only got 98 percent of their budget, that
- 1:26:08two percent is killing people, literally. Literal
- 1:26:11murder. Our kids fail. We already heard that
- 1:26:14kids fail without the government. I love that
- 1:26:17part. Actually, I want to like we should soundbite
- 1:26:20that because the very idea that our kids fail
- 1:26:24without the government. Bitch, please. Our kids
- 1:26:28thrive without the state in their way. Everybody
- 1:26:32thrives without the state in their way. Just
- 1:26:34the premise that she's operating from is so offensive.
- 1:26:38It's inverted. I can't shut up about it. It is
- 1:26:40so offensive. It's inverted. But if without this
- 1:26:43system of re -education, of indoctrination that
- 1:26:46pounds every human being into a square, into
- 1:26:50the same form, and tells them that obedience
- 1:26:52is the key to success, innovation is evil, Thinking
- 1:26:57for yourself is stupid you are to obey and without
- 1:27:01us you are nothing when you talk about Gutting
- 1:27:06the government there are large populations of
- 1:27:09people that have moved here from my former state
- 1:27:12and that are moving here without a perspective
- 1:27:15of what the Idaho government spends money on
- 1:27:18they understand the government a large umbrella
- 1:27:21term And many of them that are either retired
- 1:27:25and on fixed incomes are moving to Idaho because
- 1:27:27of its lower tax base and affordability. Or they're
- 1:27:30just moving here because they're like, I want
- 1:27:31to get on with my life, whatever it might be.
- 1:27:33But they don't have these ties to, for instance,
- 1:27:36the local school district. Like they don't have
- 1:27:38kids that graduated from Middleton High School.
- 1:27:41And they're like, you know, go Middleton. And
- 1:27:43they don't have these relationships to these
- 1:27:45fundamental aspects that make Idaho what Idaho
- 1:27:48is. Right. So another way to phrase that. Is
- 1:27:53so he says they don't have ties to the community
- 1:27:56really another way I the way I see it is so they're
- 1:27:59not drinking the Kool -Aid of the cult Statism
- 1:28:02is a cult just like anything else. It's a it
- 1:28:04is a religion They have their priests. They have
- 1:28:07their God You know their God is the president
- 1:28:10or the governor their priests are the tax collectors
- 1:28:14and the bureaucrats their churches Are the government
- 1:28:17buildings their temples are the schools? Their
- 1:28:21deacons are the teachers. They pray to Almighty
- 1:28:25government God They the pro the Pledge of Allegiance
- 1:28:29is their prayer you know the humongous state
- 1:28:34code book that has a Gorillian laws against what
- 1:28:37you can't do is their Bible Bible it's a religion
- 1:28:41and so when you talk about raising taxes with
- 1:28:44these people one they don't have a perspective
- 1:28:46on what Idaho is spending money on and Trust
- 1:28:50me, I have they haven't been inculcated yet to
- 1:28:52the cult. Right. So they don't play ball. That's
- 1:28:55the only the only reason I'm opposed to more
- 1:28:58taxes and state apparatuses is because I just
- 1:29:00don't get it. I don't understand. I don't have
- 1:29:03a connection. I don't get it. You're opposed
- 1:29:05to go to Middleton High. Well, even though you
- 1:29:08did and you and I agree. So maybe this isn't
- 1:29:10necessarily about where you grew up or didn't
- 1:29:12grow up. But in any case. I guess I mean I graduated
- 1:29:15from Lake City High School in Coeur d 'Alene
- 1:29:17and I and I wouldn't give it a I wouldn't give
- 1:29:19it a red cent. I had experiences in my former
- 1:29:22state where again I'm not saying I was involved
- 1:29:24deeply in politics but I'm like I don't like
- 1:29:26the way this is going right like this money seems
- 1:29:29whatever. You have that problem of trying to
- 1:29:33help Idahoans contemporary Idahoans understand
- 1:29:37where the money's going where it's not going.
- 1:29:41why it's needed and why it's fundamental to the
- 1:29:44state, but you're dealing with people that may
- 1:29:46not necessarily even understand what the state
- 1:29:49is or how the state became the way it is, right?
- 1:29:52Like, how are people supposed to understand this?
- 1:29:57We invest in the things that make people stronger,
- 1:30:01families stronger, communities stronger. Public
- 1:30:04schools, whether you have a kid in public school
- 1:30:06or not, it matters because... when we start young
- 1:30:09with our kids and our kids are successful, they
- 1:30:13then become the nurse that's going to take care
- 1:30:16of you in the nursing home or the one who's going
- 1:30:19to help you, you know, the real estate agent
- 1:30:21that's going to help you find your retirement
- 1:30:23home. And there's no way that they can do that.
- 1:30:27unless they were drinking the statist Kool -Aid.
- 1:30:30There's no way they could ever figure out how
- 1:30:32to do those things so that they would ever want
- 1:30:34to do those things out of the kindness of their
- 1:30:36hearts or out of the skill set that they've honed
- 1:30:38over the years. As an industry, people who are
- 1:30:41in those industries do not tend to be liberty
- 1:30:43-minded, freedom -minded, or anything like that.
- 1:30:45Most of them tend to be highly dependent on the
- 1:30:47local, state, and federal governments for one
- 1:30:50reasons or another, and they tend to be fairly
- 1:30:52leftists or... Yeah. I mean, like look at NIR
- 1:30:55again, if you were to look at the North Idaho
- 1:30:56Republicans, almost all of them work in some
- 1:31:01form of real estate. They're in banking, mortgage
- 1:31:03lending, broking. Yep. Or they're part of the
- 1:31:06medical industrial complex. I mean, they, a bunch
- 1:31:07of them sit on the board of the now, of the now
- 1:31:10privatized. Well, it's a, it's a private nonprofit
- 1:31:14KMC was, but it was a publicly held hospital.
- 1:31:19KMC was by the community. It was actually, and
- 1:31:22now it's not. And guess who sits on the board?
- 1:31:24a bunch of members of NIR, you know, so yeah,
- 1:31:27the medical industrial complex and the real estate,
- 1:31:30I guess, industrial complex with, you know, banking,
- 1:31:33mortgage lending and realtors and developers.
- 1:31:35It's a cabal wherever you go. It's a cabal. So
- 1:31:39it's a good it's again, we let them speak, Scott,
- 1:31:42and they tell the truth. That's right. We're
- 1:31:44almost at the end. The person who's going to
- 1:31:47stock the river so that you can go steelhead
- 1:31:49fishing and make sure it stays clean. So it is
- 1:31:53that community. And sometimes we lose sight of
- 1:31:56that because we say, well, I don't want to give
- 1:31:58money to the government. Well, the people in
- 1:32:01the government are the people who are also helping
- 1:32:05make sure that you get to live the life that
- 1:32:08makes Idaho attractive for everybody moving here.
- 1:32:13False. They get in the way of the life I want
- 1:32:14to live. It's an inverted reality. It's so inverted.
- 1:32:17All of the stuff I would or could do, almost
- 1:32:20all of it, I can't do. The two businesses I would
- 1:32:24open up right now, Scott, if I could, for my
- 1:32:26next two businesses, are both expressly illegal
- 1:32:28in the state of Idaho. I cannot run the businesses
- 1:32:32I want to run. They're not dangerous. They don't
- 1:32:35hurt people. And they both have, there is a need.
- 1:32:39They require voluntary patronage, so they couldn't
- 1:32:43exist unless people wanted it to. The people
- 1:32:45of Idaho, the people you're claiming to speak
- 1:32:48on behalf of. Yep. And there's definitely a market
- 1:32:51for both. strong markets for both. But the government
- 1:32:54says no. This is something I always talk about
- 1:32:57Scott and you too. You know, again, the more
- 1:33:00libertarian and anarchist you get, the more you
- 1:33:02realize what is seen absolutely matters. But
- 1:33:06we tend to almost over focus because it's easy
- 1:33:08on what we see the consequences of government
- 1:33:12interference in our lives. We see so much of
- 1:33:15it. But what's interesting is there is an entire
- 1:33:18an entire swath of that which is unseen. And
- 1:33:22that's basically the things that never happen
- 1:33:24or can't happen because of government interference.
- 1:33:27So many good things that just don't exist because
- 1:33:32they are smothered in the cradle. But these people,
- 1:33:36this gal that Matt Todd is interviewing, just
- 1:33:39like Wintrow, just like all the NIR people, you're
- 1:33:43right. You use the term inverted. They invert
- 1:33:45the entire equation. It is upside down. their
- 1:33:49premise is completely the opposite of what reality
- 1:33:53is. And they believe it. The people in the government
- 1:33:57are the people who are also helping make sure
- 1:34:00that you get to live the life that makes Idaho
- 1:34:04attractive for everybody moving here. And we
- 1:34:07have to continue that and not lose sight of that,
- 1:34:10or we will turn into a state that people then
- 1:34:15don't want to be here. And I don't want that.
- 1:34:18It's the lack of government that brings people
- 1:34:20here. Like, how tone deaf are you? How tone deaf
- 1:34:23are you? I'm telling you people move here from
- 1:34:25California because they go, oh, less government.
- 1:34:28Yep. Yeah, that's correct. Yeah. Unless we unless
- 1:34:31we continue, unless we continue to grow the behemoth
- 1:34:35state apparatus, then the people who fled behemoth
- 1:34:38state apparatuses won't want to come here anymore.
- 1:34:41They just these people who come here and flee
- 1:34:44bigger government states just don't know what
- 1:34:45they're missing. We just don't understand, man.
- 1:34:48We don't understand where the money's going.
- 1:34:49See, we just don't get it. See, that's the problem.
- 1:34:51Like, if we only got it, if we would just hold
- 1:34:53still long enough to get it, then we would understand
- 1:34:55how important behemoth state apparatuses truly
- 1:34:58are. Yeah. You guys are dumb. I'm fifth generation
- 1:35:04Idahoan, and I want my kids to stay. Oh, good
- 1:35:06for you. And I love that about the governor,
- 1:35:09that that is his vision, is that he wants to
- 1:35:11make Idaho a place where our kids and our grandkids
- 1:35:15Choose to stay and they code speech time by the
- 1:35:20way code speak alert the moment somebody busts
- 1:35:22out that they're a third or fourth or fifth generation
- 1:35:24Idahoan I guarantee you the odds are 100 % 100
- 1:35:29% that they're gonna then follow it up with some
- 1:35:33moderate leftist word salad speak always every
- 1:35:37time guaranteed See I'm a it's an appeal Yeah,
- 1:35:43it's an appeal to authority. It's an appeal to
- 1:35:45expertise. It's an appeal to history. It's a
- 1:35:48logical fallacy is what it is. It's the same
- 1:35:50thing as being like, oh, Donna Pratt, mother
- 1:35:53of three, school board candidate, been an educator
- 1:35:57for 30 years. She's got the experience we need.
- 1:36:01And I just look at all that and I go crap, crap,
- 1:36:04crap and crap. I don't care that you're a mother
- 1:36:06of three. I definitely do care you were an educator
- 1:36:08for 30 years because it means I'm not going to
- 1:36:09vote for you ever. But these things don't give
- 1:36:13you, they don't give you credit, in my opinion.
- 1:36:17They give you the opposite of credit. But people
- 1:36:19use it because other people who don't know how
- 1:36:22to break it down go, ooh, oh, oh, mother of three.
- 1:36:25Well, I'll vote for her. I'm a mother of three.
- 1:36:28I, as the founder of the National Organization
- 1:36:31of Gays, are saying on behalf of gays, fill in
- 1:36:34the blank. Well, I'm gay and I don't agree with
- 1:36:36you. What does that mean? Shut up. I'm the gay
- 1:36:38guy. Didn't you hear me? I'm a fifth generation
- 1:36:40gay. You beat me to it. You bastard. I'm just
- 1:36:43gonna say as a fifth -generation gay eyes I know
- 1:36:46what I'm talking about potential show title fifth
- 1:36:49-generation fifth -generation gay And then let's
- 1:36:54try and finish this choose to stay or we or I
- 1:36:56think another one could be townies and tramps
- 1:36:59But I get to be the tramp not the townie Should
- 1:37:02the picture be like us, you know each eating
- 1:37:05the same noodle and getting progressively closer
- 1:37:09Yes, but instead of a noodle, it should be like
- 1:37:11a cedar tree or something, you know, going to
- 1:37:13go with the forestry theme of Idaho. Yeah, on
- 1:37:15account of we're in the inland Northwest. Got
- 1:37:17it. Or a potato. Oh, a potato. And they will
- 1:37:20choose to stay here if they have opportunity,
- 1:37:23if they have jobs, if they have strong communities,
- 1:37:27if they have people that support their kids.
- 1:37:30And all of that can only come from the government.
- 1:37:33Even though the opposite is actually what comes
- 1:37:35from the government so often. But okay. And,
- 1:37:39you know, this whole destructive behavior around,
- 1:37:43you know, I want to cut that and gut that. And
- 1:37:44I don't want to, I don't want to support our
- 1:37:46physicians and our doctors and our hospitals.
- 1:37:49Cut and gut. And, oh, show title? Yeah, maybe.
- 1:37:53Cut and gut. It's a good one. We got some good
- 1:37:56ones. They're all good. I like all this behavior
- 1:37:58around You know, I want to cut that and gut that
- 1:38:01and I don't want to I don't want to support our
- 1:38:03physicians and our doctors and our hospitals
- 1:38:05and oh, there we go Yeah, no, I hate doctors.
- 1:38:08That's what it is. I don't want you to steal
- 1:38:09my money because I hate doctors Also, I'm sorry,
- 1:38:14but I have to bring up again that I watched how
- 1:38:17massive percentages of doctors and physicians
- 1:38:20and hospital apparatuses behaved when a mass
- 1:38:24psychosis event befell, it befell them the hardest
- 1:38:27and we're gonna all pretend like that just didn't
- 1:38:30happen and they still have all the credibility
- 1:38:32in the world. Yep. And the medical industrial
- 1:38:36complex, which is deeply, deeply in bed with
- 1:38:38the state was oh, so happy to push all of the
- 1:38:40COVID stuff. They were ground zero for it. Boy,
- 1:38:42howdy. They were ground zero, man. So again,
- 1:38:48this gal is telling the truth, and it should
- 1:38:49terrify us where she tells the truth and almost
- 1:38:53makes it sound like a threat. And she may even
- 1:38:56mean it that way subconsciously, where again,
- 1:38:58if you cut and gut the state, what will we do
- 1:39:02about our doctors? How will we have hospitals
- 1:39:04and stuff like that? To which I'm thinking, my
- 1:39:08God, after everything we've seen the state do
- 1:39:10over the last 120 years, all you need is the
- 1:39:1320th century to see. Why the hell would you want
- 1:39:16the government anywhere near anything medical?
- 1:39:20Ever, ever. Then maybe this isn't the state for
- 1:39:26you. Maybe this isn't where you want to be because
- 1:39:29the spirit of Idaho is. She's about to tell us,
- 1:39:33Paul. The spirit of Idaho is... She's going to
- 1:39:34tell us. It's too... Is this an Ask Paul? I can't.
- 1:39:37It's too specific. You want to give it a... You
- 1:39:39can always try. Here comes the question. Big
- 1:39:41or small, make your guess before we call. The
- 1:39:44game begins. It's Ask Paul. Brought to you by
- 1:39:48Pfizer. Maybe this isn't where you want to be
- 1:39:50because the spirit of Idaho is... Is what? Community.
- 1:39:58I'm going to give it to you. We want those things
- 1:40:00and I want... my neighbor to be strong. I was
- 1:40:05going to say neighbors. I almost said neighbors.
- 1:40:07I was so close. And then I went a little more
- 1:40:10generic because, you know, community is the word
- 1:40:12they love to use. But I almost fucking said it,
- 1:40:15Scott. I was like, yeah, neighbors and something,
- 1:40:17something neighbors. And I was like, no, no,
- 1:40:18community will definitely nail it. I'm counting
- 1:40:20it. I get it. Oh, you definitely went. Oh, hey,
- 1:40:22the North Idaho NAACP judges is give is holding
- 1:40:25two thumbs emphatically up. That's because they're
- 1:40:28big fans of community organizers. Community organizers?
- 1:40:35She just told us if we don't like small government,
- 1:40:39leave Idaho. That's what she said. That's what
- 1:40:43she said. The person across the street to be
- 1:40:46strong and the person in the next city to be
- 1:40:48strong. And that's just that's how we are. And
- 1:40:51that's why the state is great. That's why I'm
- 1:40:53happy. We can't do it without government. Do
- 1:40:55you hear that? And that's just, that's how we
- 1:40:58are and that's why this state is great. That's
- 1:41:00why I'm happy to be a bureaucrat in it. I want
- 1:41:05to debate this lady. I want to debate this lady
- 1:41:07so hard. I deeply feel that. But even if there's
- 1:41:14a third person sitting in this room and the person's
- 1:41:16like, I don't care about my neighbor. I don't
- 1:41:19care about the kid. Fine. You do care about safety.
- 1:41:23Okay, and if you care about safety police when
- 1:41:26you need help and you want to show I want to
- 1:41:28have that service That's first and foremost,
- 1:41:30but you also don't want a community filled with
- 1:41:32uneducated losers right because if you if you
- 1:41:36have something and The the best option for the
- 1:41:40uneducated losers is to come take that thing
- 1:41:42from you. That's really bad You want people that
- 1:41:45are like dude? I'm not gonna become a thief because
- 1:41:48I have an abundance Right? I have, I'm not going
- 1:41:52to engage in drugs and the drug trade because
- 1:41:55I can engage in computer science. Like I'm not
- 1:41:58going to engage in prostitution. I have no idea.
- 1:42:01I have no clue what they're talking about. He's,
- 1:42:03he's doing the classic thing where they, that
- 1:42:05you, you make a, it's a values issue, but you
- 1:42:08make it an economic one. Just word saluted back
- 1:42:10to her. It's an, it's, it's, I don't know if
- 1:42:12he's been. Is he being ironic? Is this intentional?
- 1:42:16I don't know, but it doesn't sort of matter because
- 1:42:18what he's expressing is what a lot of people
- 1:42:21do, which is they conflate values and economics.
- 1:42:24So in other words, if you don't have a lot of
- 1:42:26money, therefore you resort to prostitution and
- 1:42:29thievery and drug dealing, even though that's
- 1:42:32so obviously ridiculous. Like my grandparents
- 1:42:35who came here after barely escaping Eastern Europe
- 1:42:38with their lives and had not nickel one in their
- 1:42:40pocket. My dad's dad worked as a tailor for freaking
- 1:42:45$0 .18 an hour for the bulk of his professional
- 1:42:47life. How come he didn't resort to any of that
- 1:42:49stuff, man? It's almost like it's a values issue.
- 1:42:52Yeah, they were uneducated losers and they were
- 1:42:53poor. And by the way, have you noticed what the
- 1:42:55public schools are largely putting out, speaking
- 1:42:57of uneducated losers? Uh -huh. People who can't
- 1:43:00read beyond a sixth grade level. All of this
- 1:43:03stuff is all based on inverted premises. Well,
- 1:43:08it also without, again, probably unintentionally,
- 1:43:11but But subconsciously, just through everybody
- 1:43:15who's not in the public school system under the
- 1:43:17bus. So we're uneducated. It's going to sound
- 1:43:21like I'm taking it personal. I'm not. It's just,
- 1:43:23again, when somebody says something, it's as
- 1:43:25much about what they don't say as what they do
- 1:43:26say. And in this case, Matt Todd is implying
- 1:43:29that we're uneducated losers because we homeschool.
- 1:43:33And we want nothing to do with the public education
- 1:43:35system. I don't want to give it a dime. Does
- 1:43:37that mean I hate kids? Well, I guess I do. I
- 1:43:41hate kids so much I have three of them, and we're
- 1:43:43going to have a fourth. That's how much I hate
- 1:43:46them. I want another. And you educate them yourselves
- 1:43:48at great personal expense. At great personal
- 1:43:51expense, both in lost opportunity, what some
- 1:43:54people might call lost opportunity, and certainly
- 1:43:56monetary expense. And my wife has sacrificed
- 1:43:58a ton. And so we've made choices for, gosh, my
- 1:44:03daughter's 15 now. homeschool her the whole time.
- 1:44:06And we have sacrificed the whole way to do it.
- 1:44:07And our kids are incredible. And they're, and
- 1:44:10I put them up against anybody from public school,
- 1:44:13a thousand dollars on that bet. Give me, give
- 1:44:15me any of your kids. The public schools, of course,
- 1:44:17are the ones who would say, allow me to get at
- 1:44:20your juveniles. Just I just need to just what
- 1:44:24while they're young we just need to get at the
- 1:44:26juveniles and remember It's who displayed the
- 1:44:29actual true hatred for kids public schools close
- 1:44:32the schools down mask them up Sit still pull
- 1:44:35that mass back up over your nose you little you
- 1:44:38you snot nose disease vector. We'll tell you
- 1:44:40when to stop Actually, Frederick Bastiat talks
- 1:44:44about this where This premise that sadists have
- 1:44:47is that because we're against the government
- 1:44:49doing something means that we're all of a sudden
- 1:44:51just against the thing is patently false and
- 1:44:54it's patently absurd and it certainly involves
- 1:44:56a misassignment of Intention as well, which people
- 1:44:59love to do a motive, you know, okay Here it is.
- 1:45:01Frederick Bastiat one of the greats a French
- 1:45:03economist from way back in the day and he also
- 1:45:06Was the author of the broken window fallacy where
- 1:45:09you know people think oh if a window breaks Well,
- 1:45:11that's kind of a bummer but also but it's actually
- 1:45:12good for the economy because well now you've
- 1:45:15you know the The window maker now can feed his
- 1:45:17kids and that that whole line of logic, which
- 1:45:19is total bullshit. Frederick Bastiat was one
- 1:45:22of the first to challenge that line of logic.
- 1:45:24He says, we disapprove of state education. Then
- 1:45:28the socialists say that we are opposed to any
- 1:45:29education. We object to a state religion. Then
- 1:45:32the socialists say that we want no religion at
- 1:45:34all. We object to a state enforced equality.
- 1:45:37Then they say that we are against equality and
- 1:45:39so on and so on. It is as if the socialists were
- 1:45:41to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat. because
- 1:45:43we do not want the state to raise grain. And
- 1:45:46that's what's going on here. It's Matt Todd just
- 1:45:49pulled that stunt. And actually, I'm gonna call
- 1:45:51him out hard on it because that's bullshit. It's
- 1:45:54total bullshit. In fact, the reason why I oppose
- 1:45:57the state doing all of the things that it does
- 1:45:59is because I care about my neighbor. It's because
- 1:46:02I care about kids, mine more than anybody's.
- 1:46:04But in general, I do care about kids. I care
- 1:46:07about people. I want them to thrive and flourish.
- 1:46:10So I am anti -state. The whole overarching theme
- 1:46:14of this conversation was Idaho is the way it
- 1:46:17is because of the state. While they scratch their
- 1:46:23heads and wonder why people move here from states
- 1:46:25that have way bigger governments and way more
- 1:46:28issues. And then they come to Idaho and they're
- 1:46:29like, oh, thank God, it's not as bad. And then
- 1:46:32the administrator for the Division of Financial
- 1:46:34Management says into a microphone, well, then
- 1:46:36maybe you don't belong here. As a fifth generation
- 1:46:38Idahoan, I declare that you don't belong here.
- 1:46:41And I love being a bureaucrat in this state.
- 1:46:43And I love being a bureaucrat. We got to finish
- 1:46:45this. I got to pay off my my final 30 seconds
- 1:46:48here. Because I have an abundance, right? I have.
- 1:46:52I'm not going to engage in drugs and the drug
- 1:46:55trade because I can engage in computer science
- 1:46:58like I'm not going to engage in prostitution
- 1:47:00because. I can do all of these other things.
- 1:47:03You don't want people that have nothing else
- 1:47:06that default down to the most basic, you know,
- 1:47:10survival skill sets. Right. You know, prostitution
- 1:47:13and mercenaries like you. We don't want that.
- 1:47:15That's a bad idea. You mean the government? That's
- 1:47:18not a path forward to prosperity for anyone.
- 1:47:21Politicians and cops. Yeah. Prostitution and
- 1:47:24mercenaries. Oh, you mean politicians and police?
- 1:47:26Sometimes I wonder if they do not hear what you
- 1:47:29just said. And especially if you're an older
- 1:47:31person that's kind of like, ah, I don't really
- 1:47:33care about these things. It's like, ah, you kind
- 1:47:34of do. Because you don't want to be in a community
- 1:47:36filled with a bunch of people that you don't
- 1:47:39want to be around, right? You want people of
- 1:47:41a certain caliber. If you if it weren't for a
- 1:47:47behemoth state apparatus, your communities would
- 1:47:49be full of people who you didn't want to be around,
- 1:47:51like mercenaries and prostitutes and drug dealers.
- 1:47:55That's the that's what he said. Yeah, yeah. This
- 1:47:59is I'm actually really I'm really surprised.
- 1:48:01This is a very it's a very pedantic worldview.
- 1:48:08It's shallow and pedantic and myopic. Well, maybe
- 1:48:15in another parallel universe. He's the chaos
- 1:48:19sewing anarchist and we're the status. I don't
- 1:48:25ever happen ever. Hey, what do I got on my list
- 1:48:28here? I got a I would I would Rick and Morty
- 1:48:30I would go pull a brick and Morty and kill all
- 1:48:34of my alternate selves If I found out that they
- 1:48:37were statists So I've got a mark when they drag
- 1:48:42me before the Council of Ricks. I Would I'd show
- 1:48:45them once what I've got Martian hunter fifth
- 1:48:48-generation gay townies and tramps cut and gut
- 1:48:54These are fantastic. Wow. Is this one of those
- 1:48:57instances where you would hate to be me to have
- 1:48:59to make this decision? Are you going to give
- 1:49:01me your pain? I mean, we either got to flip a
- 1:49:03coin or roll the dice or maybe what we do is
- 1:49:05we just pick one, but you throw the other three
- 1:49:07underneath as like subtitles. Just like we couldn't
- 1:49:10decide. They pick one at random. They're all
- 1:49:12good. So it'll be colon and then the whole. Yes.
- 1:49:16Okay. All right. I'll have to figure that out.
- 1:49:18I think I think we go with townies and tramps
- 1:49:20and we do a a AI image of Matt Todd and Liz Wolf
- 1:49:28dog the lady in the tramp scene on a potato.
- 1:49:31OK, that's good. I like that. And it's sort of
- 1:49:34the inversion of our townies and tramps thing.
- 1:49:37So there you go. All right. Well, thank you for
- 1:49:38tuning into this townies and tramps production.
- 1:49:41No ID. We will be back. This is episode 28. Episode
- 1:49:46number 29 is next week. Value for value is the
- 1:49:49model this show runs on. Please remember us at
- 1:49:51NoIDshow .com. And if you find the show valuable,
- 1:49:53contribute back to us. Time, talent or treasure,
- 1:49:56we love and accept it all. And if it weren't
- 1:49:58for the state, we wouldn't be able to do any
- 1:50:00of this. So thank you so very deeply bureaucrats
- 1:50:02until episode 29 from Post Falls. I'm the townie.
- 1:50:06No, I'm the transplant, Scott. And I'm the tramp,
- 1:50:12Paul. Taxation is theft. Well, if you like anarchy
- 1:50:18so much, why don't you move to Somalia?
